I found this place on yelp. I typed in indian food and walaa! I was surprised to find a place in dundalk. I thought that may have to travel to canton or downtown. Any who... This place is is not what I expected but was still nice. It's kind of small but very clean. You can carry out or eat in. I ordered the chicken tikka masala. It wasn't on the menu, they had chicken tikka but not the masala. Only difference is the sauce. The owner was really nice. The credit card machine wasn't working properly so I had to drive up to the 7-11 and use the atm. The food was hot and fresh. The chicken was nice and tender, the masala was not as thick as I'm used to but it was still tasty. I will definitely come back to this place, maybe even try their buffet. As I was leaving, the owner said that they also deliver so that's a big plus.

My cousin told my about this place today and I decided to stop by while I was out. The owner was incredibly friendly the entire time. The inside of the establishment was also very clean and nice. I ordered the Malai Chicken kabob and it is fantastic. It came with rice which is very good, a fresh little side salad, and he threw in some naan as well. The chicken itself is very flavorful and tender, very good. Also, everything was cooked fresh when I ordered it, nothing pre-made just sitting in the back to be reheated. I'll definitely visit again.

I had them cook me buttered chicken, which wasn't on the menu. The fact that they did that was good customer service. Their prices are high - about $14 for the dish, rice and a naan. However, their servings are pretty decent, so I suppose the high price is ok. The food tasted great, and was actually different from what i'm used to, which was good. I would return again, probably for dinner. My recommendation: create a cheaper (under $10) lunch menu. Lower your portion size and you should be able to do that. A naan, basmati rice and curry dish for under $10 would be great, as I would eat there much more often if that were the case.

I rated 4 stars because I don't want to take away from their score, but sadly the restaurant no longer exists. Imagine how excited I was this afternoon to search and find a restaurant less than a mile away. I drove there to place an order while I ran to the grocery store. The sign is still there, but it's empty inside. Very sad! From the other reviews I've read they would have had me as a regular customer. So sorry I didn't find them sooner when they were still in business.

After having passed by this restaurant every day on the way to and from work for months, I decided to give it a try. The menu offers a variety of kabobs, biryanis, and other Middle Eastern foods. I'm not sure but I think you can buy meats and kabobs raw to take home and prepare as well. The first time I ordered out from here I tried the goat biryani. The owner was very nice when taking my order over the phone. I asked him which biryani to try and he recommended the goat and then asked if I would prefer mild or spicy. When I came in to pick up the owner was very friendly, promised we would love the food, and was very genuine when he wished us good night and said he hoped to see us again. For the spice level in the goat biryani, I chose mild having only had biryani once before and being unsure of what spice level I could handle. The goat meat was marinated and flavorful and the rice was very fragrant and tasty, but I decided I would be able to handle spicy next time. The biryani came with a mint & yogurt type sauce on the side that offered a bit of a kick to make up for the fact that I'd opted to go a bit too mild. Tonight, I came back to try the chicken biryani and opted for spicy. Again, I received a very fragrant, fresh, and flavorful dish with that mint/yogurt sauce on the side. Again, the chicken seems to be well marinated in preparation for the dish. Again, the owner was very friendly when I came in. They even remembered me even though it had been a few weeks since my first visit. I've been by later at night both times so the restaurant has been quiet but it's very nice inside and would be fine to eat in as well if I ever stopped by when I wasn't on the way home from work. I don't know about the other dishes, but the portions of the biryani are huge! My husband and I both had generous servings of the chicken biryani tonight and will be able to both have a full dinner from it tomorrow. All in all, a much needed addition to the sorely lacking food scene in Dundalk. I hope Zamzam stays around!

Excellent joint. Was in here tonight, craving Biryani and did not disappoint! Being in Greektown, my options for Biryani are limited unless I want to travel out past the beltway or head downtown so driving out the county just works better. Moving on'... It's actually very clean inside. The gentleman who owns the restaurant was very nice and very sincere. He came out and chatted with us about how long he's been in town and what they typically offer. Their menu is a hodgepodge of Indian, Paki & Afghan style kabobs, dishes. I ordered the mixed plate, Goat Biryani and I was stunned at how full I was. More importantly, how real everything tasted. The joints in my neck of the woods make their biryani something akin to Indian style paella, with a somewhat creamy base -- not this place, nope. It's nice and lightly oiled and you bite into all sorts of good spices, like plum pits, lemon seeds, mustard seeds, etc. TL;DR -- It tastes, eats and feels like REAL food. The kabob is as promised, fresh, moist and smoky. I had the lamb, chicken tikka & kubideh (I'm not sure their term for it) and all were outstanding. Mint yogurt & Aloo all around and it was one of the best $30 meals I've had in a long time. Ambiance, isn't really there... but the gentleman who was bussing the tables (seemed like a local) offered to put on TV, any channel we wanted, noting that it was quiet. We weren't there to be impressed by anything but the food, but the service and sincerity of the people there certainly did. Absolutely give this place a go, you won't find anything like it in Dundalk.
