Delicious pizza!! My favorite pizza to get is the triple meat pizza... Can't go wrong with bacon, sausage and pepperoni. The staff is very nice and makes you feel like you're at home. I might go there tomorrow might for dinner! Love it! Keep up the great work!

I have a friend who pretty much only eats pizza and pasta. OK, he occasionally eats other things but if we go out for food he wants to go for Italian. He knows his Italian food. He also lives around the corner from Squires and last week he introduced me to this lovely little establishment. We both had pasta and it was delish; I hope to try the pizza next time. Service was good, parking was good. What really set Squire's apart for me (because let's be honest, a lot of places can serve up some decent pasta) was their substantal drink menu. Woodchuck on tap, a long list of cocktails. A long list of frozen drinks and all at a good price. I had the melon colada and it was AMAZING. A+

Great Cream of Crab Soup. Real Good Maryland Crab Soup. $9.17 all you can eat lunch buffet during the week!!!! They always have 2 main entrees, a salad bar, some pasta, Pizza, soup, and dessert included. And that also includes your drink! This place actually catered my wedding reception a couple years back too, and we received a very competitive price with great food and excellent service at our wedding reception. I was really impressed. I come here about 3-4 times a year by myself for their buffet at lunch time. I have also had many of their menu items, and they are all good. Great Meatball Sub. Decent Chicken Parmesan. They are qucik with their orders so I can tell most of their menu is pre-prepped but it all tastes good. If you order a pizza from carry out I feel their prices are a tad high, but other then that this is a great Casual Dine in Pizza and Italian Restaurant. The food is not the greatest in the world but certainly good. Their Lasagna is EXCELLENT!!! Best Lasagna in Baltimore for sure! The service here is decent. I have noticed the waitresses hustle pretty hard to keep afloat when they are busy. Sometimes I feel like they might be a little understaffed, but the I can tell the waitresses try hard to keep drinks re-filled and provide great service. I would recommend eating here, and I will continue to come back. ****I want to point out that I would give this place 4.5 stars if I could. Not quite worth a 5 star review, but since we hired this place to cater our wedding, and they did a great job I felt compelled to give 5 stars! Also, I'm not sure if the place is family owned, and operated, but it sure feel's like it. I will continue to stop by when I can. My only TWO suggestions for the restaurant would be to try to staff a bit better in the dining room (at least for lunch), and make sure the bathrooms are stocked with soap. The food is exceptional, and drink/alcohol prices are not bad either. ...I will continue to be a loyal customer! :)

Last Saturday I went to Squire's with my fiance and my mother. This was our first visit. Right away we could see why they call this place a family restaurant, as there were screaming and yelling kids running around the dining room chasing each other. This was a little off-putting. However, once we sat down and had a look over the huge cheap drink menu, we were a little appeased. Margaritas were only $4.95 and my fiance's natty boh draft was $1.75. We ordered the pizza, because they bragged about it so much with their signs in the restaurant. We got the Squire's Special, which is a pizza with just about everything on it. It was a little too jam packed with toppings, but good none the less. The sauce was good, and the free bread they give you at the beginning of the meal was also good. We will come back to try the pasta.

Older people in Dundalk have always liked this place and I really don't know why. The pizza and the pasta are very generic and very unimpressive. If there was more restaurant competition in the area this place wouldn't be nearly as popular. You can get better quality food, including pastas at most diners in the area.

I have always enjoyed Squires. Their pizza with everything is delicious, I haven't had one of those in a while and I am thinking I may have to fix that. Their spaghetti and meat sauce is a gigantic portion, at least three meals for me. The lasagna is a giant brick that not even my dad can finish. The service has always been spot on, and they are great for groups, whether hosting the cast of a show from nearby CCBC Dundalk or a funeral reception. Nice neighborhood spot, they have been around for decades.

Visited with lady friend on 2/23. I had shells with meat sauce and she had fettuccini. Meat sauce was way to tomato based and wasn't hot. Her fettuccini was barely warm. We would have sent both back at least for reheat, but NEVER saw our waitress again until time to pay the bill. Next time (if there is a next time) I sit at the bar and get pizza. One more try but not good this night.

I've been frequenting this place with my family since I was a kid. This was our go to restaurant for most special dining out occasions. I'm since all grown up and have moved away but when I come back to visit my parents we end up going to Squire's. I have pictures from various stages of my life and Squire's is the backdrop. That shows you how much people in the "Dalk" love this place. Anyway, I went here this past weekend with my parents. I got a bowl of Maryland crab soup and a classic spaghetti dinner. The crab soup was great. It tasted as though it was made with beef stock which gave it a very full bodied richness which Maryland Crab Soup should have. There were a lot of veggies and a good amount of lump crab meat. It was seasoned perfectly. On to the spaghetti. It was okay. The pasta was a little overcooked and the tomato sauce is average at best. My boyfriend got the lasagna and it was covered in sauce. Not necessarily a good thing as the flavor of the lasagna gets lost in all of that tomato sauce. Mind you the lasagna is baked put on a plate then covered with the marinara that they use for other pasta dishes (like my spaghetti). It was just a little much. The flavors weren't bad, but again average. My parents got a pizza. I've had their pizza numerous times and it isn't bad. I actually enjoy it. Their thin crust is really yummy. Hands down this place has the best pizza in Dundalk. As American Italian places go Squire's is good. Their menu hasn't changed in years and they are very consistent. I could probably eat their crab soup everyday. They have really good deals during the week and if I lived closer I would probably partake in some. If you are in the neighborhood they are worth a try. Definitely a staple of Dundalk.

We stumbled across this place while looking for something to eat. It was fairly empty but it smelled amazing upon arrival. We weren't even sure what type of restaurant it was till we saw the attached pizza take out window. Turns out it is an Italian restaurant but you can also order american cuisine and seafood. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce, it was really really good! The maryland crab soup was also very appetizing. The service was fantastic. From the looks of the place you might be initially turned off, but you should definitely give it a try!

Meh. Came in for lunch with colleagues. Service was fine. Appreciated the fact that 5 of us could do separate checks. I had the soup and salad combo for 6.95. Garden salad was fine, plenty of greens...dressing (bleu cheese) was really tasty. Went with the cream of crab soup (additional cost) and I must say, for something ppl describe as the best cream of crab soup ever, it was just Ok. A little too think for my liking. Reminded me of a can a Campbell's soup that you need to add water to. When all was said and done I had spent well over 12 bucks. Won't go out of my way to eat here again, strictly only out of convenience.

First time back after a bad experience a year ago. My beautiful lady and I had lunch there the day after Christmas. I'm glad we did. Our food was very good and the service was equal. Any place can have a bad day. Good pizza

Went here for the first time in a while, to lunch with a friend. Back in the day I used to stop in a few times a year, and not much has changed. And that's fine by me! It's a good thing in my book when old, traditional family places like Squire's keep on truckin' along. Both my buddy and I opted for the lunchtime lasagne special, which comes with that nice, fresh, simple Italian bread. It's a good, solid lasagne, and I've nothing to complain about. I was surprised to see the small lunch buffet, though in the past my visits were almost exclusively dinner. The buffet didn't look compelling enough to drag me from the lasagne, however. The special came with a small side salad and dessert, with the latter coming home with me so that I didn't overload on the carbs. The salad was fine, but nothing special. In the past I've had the pizza a lot, and thoroughly enjoy it, though it's not in the Pizza John's of Essex category...take THAT, Dundalk! Service was good and down homey, and all in all it was another quality Squire's dining experience!

Went on a Saturday night for a party of four around 6:30-7:00. We were seated right away because we asked for a table instead of a booth. The place was pretty busy and the service was decent. Our waiter wasn't around a lot but he was polite whenever he came around. I didn't try the bread, it didn't look like anything special. The food is just okay- my SO said it tasted mass produced or store bought. We ordered mozzarella sticks for the table and hot wings. Our favorite part of the meal were the wings and that's probably because they tasted familiar (a big frozen bag of wings from Costco perhaps?) For our main course we ordered: Chicken cacciatore over penne (she liked it), hot roast beef sandwich & fries that came completely smothered in bland gravy, a steak, and the eggplant parm sandwich. My sandwich was under seasoned and I only took a few bites because I wasn't hungry. Brought it home and toasted it, added some sriracha and BAM.. much better I'd go back if I was desperate for something semi-cheap but nothing to rave about

This place is OK. Their caesar salad was really good. Pizza was alright, but I wish it was cooked a little more. I really liked their house balsamic dressing too. Main reasoning for the 3 star was the not very nice staff. The hostess was straight up rude to me and my family. We went there to check out the place before an arranged family reunion there with 30+ people. The man who came upstairs to help show us the space complained because he said it was his lunch hour and we should have called to say we were coming (even though we did say we were coming that day). When we went downstairs to eat we waited at the host stand for three or four minutes after asking a nearby employee if we could seat ourselves. She harshly replied "NO, you'll need to wait" and finished gossiping with another employee for a few minutes before coming back to the host stand and seating us. The reunion went well, although I don't think they had enough people helping us at all. We ran out of salad immediately and there was only one woman taking drink orders (however she was MUCH nicer than the others though). And the pizza and salad were meh.

I LOVE Squire's pizza. Double pepperoni, double cut- they'll know. Garlic fries are really good too. Heard they have a lunch buffet...

If you know the right delivery driver, you can get this pizza delivered to a parking lot in the city on your birthday. You HAVE to try their pizza with bacon on it. In fact, I'm planning on running for the House of Delegates in 2014, and if I am elected, my first order will be to pass a law mandating that all people (save those with dietary issues, excluding religious issues - YOU WILL EAT MEAT AND CHEESE AND PORK, TOO) eat this once a week. The pizza covered in bacon is so good because they will pile on so much bacon, it's hard to tell there is even cheese (I'm honestly still wondering). It had so much bacon on it that I felt like I was was having a heart attack after eating it... As it turns out I was just really drunk and it was cold outside.

My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood the other day and stopped here to grab dinner. I didn't realize how big this place is. It's got a full bar area, dining room, and rooms for private parties. They specialize in their pizza and pasta of which I tried both. We ordered a small sausage pizza as an appetizer. The homemade sausage was flavorful and the pizza itself was pretty good. The sauce was a bit tomatoey, if that makes any sense, and the crust was a bit bland but the texture was good. I ordered the daily pasta special which included a soup or salad, pasta entree, and piece of cake for dessert for $17.95. I think this is a little pricey for pasta but since it was homemade, it seemed more reasonable. I got the salad with the house Balsamic Vinagarette. The dressing was really good. Not sure if it was homemade or not . The server gave me two sauces on the side for the pasta, olive oil and garlic and Rose sauce (tomato and alfredo mixed) . The butternut squash tortellini had some crushed Almond cookie and carmelized onion in it and the pasta was homemade. It was delicious!! The Rose sauce proved to be too overpowering for this dish, although I thought it was great and would choose it for a different pasta. The server was polite, attentive, and accomodating. The appearance of the restaurant is pretty nondescript and the desserts were not homemade which are the reasons for the 4 stars. With all of the homemade items, I would have liked to have seen some homemade desserts. All in all, it was a great dining experience!

I've been going to this place specifically for their pizza for a long....long time. Recently stopped in on a visit to Baltimore and I still love their pizza! The service was decent, and I enjoy the casual environment. I highly reccomend this place because they have the best pizza in the known Universe!

I grew up in Dundalk (and hated it) but Squires is one of the places I have fond memories of. I've lived all over the US and overseas and I have never found a pizza that was more delicious. My personal fave has always been the meat sauce.

Squires is quite possibly the most overrated restaurant in Dundalk (other than perhaps some noted sub shop). It lives off of its reputation rather than the quality of its food. Honestly i think it's because it has become this overly busy place, so they have got used to cutting corners. Most of the Italian dishes seem almost like they are pre-made and pre-packaged. The sauce they use, to me, is way too sugary. And many times it seems like they use the same sauce for everything, spaghetti to lasagna to the pizza. Most of the other dishes are pretty pedestrian, nothing terrible, nothing too fantastic to write home about. The food however i usually get from them is pizza. And to be honest, there are plenty of other good pizza shops in the area that are as good if not a better than Squires, and more reasonably priced. My problems with the pizza: Over the years it seems to have become more floury (would you like some pizza crust with your flour). They have also cut backed on the amount of cheese and seems to be just a plain mozzarella blend. While at the same time they overload it with sauce, which as i mentioned before is the overly sugary sauce they seem to use on every dish. Sometimes i wonder if they would be better of just saying it's a red pizza. They do have one thing going for them, the pepperoni. I do love that pepperoni, nice spicy and with that just bit of crunch on the rim. For the quality of food they are overly expensive. Being i haven't been in the dining room in a while, i'll stick to reviewing the take out. Generally get pizza for take out. Two large cheese, two small with pepperoni. Typically runs somewhere about $40. Compare that to some of the local shops, many of which offer deals and such, you would be looking at anywhere from $5 -15 cheaper for the same order for take out. As for service, no complaints. Service is always good and friendly. Quick as well.

Great Food, Restaurant, & Amazing PIZZA! I've been coming here since my parent brought me here as a child. I no longer live in the area, but I travel out of my way, sometimes just for carryout, for arguably the best pizza in Baltimore. The restaurant is clean, has exceptional food, great value, and a pleasant staff, some of whom I recognize as having been there for years. The also do an excellent job with large parties and catering. Anyone that knows this place knows that they have great food, but what keeps many returning is the PIZZA!

I had to downgrade Squire's a little because of my last visit. Again, I was with my grandmother and she had the crab cake sandwich. Arguably one of the best in Baltimore. I decided to try to their "award winning" pizza. It was pretty bad. Not awful, but not award winning. The crust was basic and it looked like something I could have purchased at the grocery store. So sad.

This was my first time to eat at Squires and I will never return. I can't really complain about the service, but that's where it stops. Our food was at best just ok. We ordered dinner salads and paid entrée prices for side salad sizes. The only meal that was decent was a personal pizza. I already told you about the salads, the kids meals were overpriced and pedestrian, especially the spaghetti, which was dry. Show me one kid who likes dry spaghetti. The final adult ordered a cheeseburger sub and said it was just Ok. She would not order it again. The steep size of the bill just added insult to injury. I can get a lot better food than that for over $100. Don't go there.

Been here a million times... It never seems packed...the meat sauce pizza is the best around. Other food is just average in my opinion but the pizza is the star of the menu. Nothing else is really worth writing about.

Both times I've been there, it was with my boyfriend and his two sons. The servers aren't too nice, as they are worried about how many they can serve and how much tips they'll make. If you are into good service, turn away. If you like Italian food that reminds you of New York or Youngstown Ohio, they are worth checking out :D Their pizza doesn't look too good, but their shrimp parmigiana is DELICIOUS, and so is their penne. My dish: Order a side of green beans. They saute them in garlic and butter it's SO good.

When I was younger Squires was the best place to go for the cream of crab and a good slice of pizza, now I will drive a half hour out of my way to avoid going there. It is dissociating and way over priced. I came with twelve other people and the service was friendly and attentive but my chicken Alfredo was dry and the noodles were microwaved along with it not being hot. This is an Italian place, no sauce should be made out of can, nothing should be microwaved. I am highly disappointed that this gem of a restaurant has turned into such a bad places to eat. Also when I was sick a few days ago i ordered a delivery of two things of soup, a Blt and a cheesesteak with no fries cost me twenty five dollars! Ridiculous. I will not be eating here again

What can I say. The Pizza is dam good, so is the salads, pasta and dam near everything else they serve. My only slightly negative comment about the joint is, though the seafood that I've had is good Jimmy's up the street is better for seafood lovers. But all in all the waitress are on point and so is the food.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
