MUST GO! If you want to feel the taste of hookah that takes your breath away on every puff.
Nice clean place! Good, reasonably priced hookahs and a friendly service. Good music and a chill place. Enjoy!
This place is great! Great hookah, great atmosphere, wonderful service, and very spacious. As someone who enjoys hookah, the people here know how to pack very well. If you are not satisfied, they will do everything they can to make sure you are. Elite is the place to go if you're looking for a relaxed night with friends. I recommend this place to anyone who is interested in trying different flavors!

Love the cannonball pizza. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly and comfortable. Small dining room but plenty of seating. Have had Ledo's a few times, but I have never eaten in until today. Great service and yummy food. Kids meal options are great and worth the money!
Been coming here for over 20 years. Located in a tiny strip across the street from yet another small strip mall in what would be considered, "downtown Derwood". I'll bet that you didn't know that Ledo's occupied a spot that once was a "Highs"? I didn't think so...... There is a reason it has survived. They are consistent, close to home, and offer friendly neighborly service. Ledo's pizza hits the spot when you're NOT in the mood for a thick pan-style pizza. One word of advice if you order carryout: get there quickly, as these thin pizzas tend to dry out if kept waiting too long. Eat there if you can....
Friendly and fast. Love that square pie. So far all good pies. Used to eat at the original one, LOL! Close enough to the original.

Even though this is a chain, I can tell you that each one is run/managed differently. There aren't many places to grab a quick, healthy, bite to eat near my workplace so this location is my go-to. Every single time the employees are out front and ready to take your order - busy or not. The place is always clean and items well stocked. Bravo Subway of Derwood!

Biscotti Restaurant

7212 Muncaster Mill Rd
Derwood, 20855
Reviews:
Visited for first time Wednesday and found the ambiance charming, especially in light of it's strip mall location. Service was to my liking with a typical neighborhood Italian menu. The prices seemed reasonable with an half carafe of Chianti $14 and a house salad around $4. The mussels in white wine had a nice garlicky taste and were under $10. My wife and I each finished with a pasta and both were outstanding. We'll be back soon and if it maintains this level place it in our regular rotation
This place does not follow the cardinal rule of "location is everything" what with it being in a strip mall but the food, service, and prices are excellent. I have been there twice. The first time was with three friends and most recently with another friend. The comments from all were universally good. One friend called it some of the best Italian food he'd ever eaten. An out-of-town guest stopped in the middle of our fairly intense conversation and stated, "This is really good! Exceptional!" That was the salmon and pasta dish. I am very impressed with Biscotti. It is a small, intimate place with very reasonable furnishings. The service was excellent. The server knew the menu in detail and offered suggestions for dinner and even knew the wine list in detail. Prices are very good and portions are appropriate. I recommend this as a nice, reliable, intimate place that should be a regular on your list.
I was looking for a place to go to when visiting family in Gaithersburg that wasn't fast food or sandwiches. A simple meal of protein and vegetables that was healthy and not a wallet breaker. Wow, this place has fantastic food. So well hidden in the plainest of strip malls. The chef here is fantastic, the servers are efficient, friendly but not intrusive. Highlights: -Tilapia, not previously frozen, lightly lemoned and I'd guess pan-fried because of the delicious slightly-crunchy edge of lemon. -Manicotti, perfectly executed with a sauce and filling that was light and flavorful. I don't make my own pasta, but I do believe they do. -Chicken parmesan, juicy and crunchy and wonderful topping. -Olive tapenade spread for the bread The 10 year old child with us seems to subsist on candy. Imagine our surprise to see her eagerly finish a dish of Tilapia and a bowl of minestrone.

Reviews:
Love to support local and Outta the Way is SOMETIMES just the place to go if you don't want to venture too far from home. The service is spotty...sometimes the waitresses are attentive, other times non-existent. Another reviewer said they had to get their own condiments and such, and I've had to do the same. Friends and I go for the food...their pastas, salads, and sandwiches are great. Bar scene is very Derwoodian...you've got your high school graduates who never left town, local groupies into the live music, your electrician or carpenter, and then some white collar folks in the mix. Don't go for the service, but try it out for a reasonable bite at a local joint. It really isn't too far outta the way.
So enjoyable. This is the type of local restaurant every community needs. Food is comforting, the sauce in Chip's wings is outstanding! Love the neighborhood feel. Love the fact they support the community. Music on Fridays and Saturdays. Just a great place to hang out.
Great friendly service and yummy food make me definitely want to come back! I had the chicken chili which had just the right amount of spice! The spiced shrimp were fresh and steamed just right!

The place gets pretty packed here since it is right off Rockville Pike, so don't stop for lunch. They consistently serve hot food, but lack great service (surprise, surprise) and often get my orders wrong.
Awesome McDonalds, lobby is 24/7 and so is drive thru. The guy here let me use all my coupons together and the food comes out quick. I asked for no middle bun on the big mac and extra onions. They didn't put the bun but I'm not sure if they added extra onions for me. The tackle box looked good $5 for 20 nuggets. The dollar menu has changed over the years and isn't as good as it used to be. Yogurt parfait is made with low fat yogurt so cheers!.
Yeah, it feels weird to review a McDonald's, but.... wow, this McDonald's is nicer than most restaurants. The interior was renovated, so everything is really clean and neat and the seats have pretty cloth backings that is unlike other McDonalds. The furniture is nicer and the lighting is also different. The decor and ambiance is just different from the other McDonald's out there. Plus there's a very extensive play pen/playground as well as a 24 hour drive through. It's like a flagship McDonald's location.

Been buying from these folks for years, never got a bad pie. They offer several flavors in their crusts and they don't skimp on the toppings.Their wings are also great as are.their other offerings. If you are feeling lazy and don't want to drive, they deliver.
This place is excellent and a much better alternative to Little Cesars. The establishment is clean and the guys were friendly. I will definetly be coming here in the near future. Also, once you use YELP to check it the give you a coupon.
The pizza didn't wow me. It was like pizza at Jeepers it CiCi. There was no really taste to it and the sauces was bland and the crust was just crust. This is pizza for the young. Not for us with taste buds. The store was clean the employee were nice. So I think I will leave it with the young people!!

Juanita’s Restaurant

15883 Redland Rd
Derwood, 20855
Reviews:
Very good Salvadorean and mexican food restaurant. I had the pupusas(of course). They were excellent, very filling and juicy. Juanita gave us some of her homemade hot sauce which was deceptivly spicy. The sauce kind of sneaks up on you. I also had the chorizo burrito, very very good filled with rice and juciy chorizo with onion and peppers. Its a very tiny little family restaurant that makes real good home cooking. You walk in and become part of the family. I advise anyone who likes salvadorean food to go here.
We had lived in King Farm for over 5 years and had driven by this place many times. Not sure why we never tried it out but I certainly am glad we finally did today. My husband and I were starving and we went in not knowing what to order. Tostalos (deep fried tacos) were great. If you like spicy food, be sure to ask for their special spicy sauce.
Everytime I come here, I wonder why I come back because it just keeps getting worse...I'm thinking it's the fond memories I had as a kid. Dead cricket on the floor & fly on the table. I would say that's ok, except the food was mediocre: I ordered tamales (dry) as an appetizer and it came out way after we started eating lunch. I asked to substitute more rice & salad instead of beans but somehow got the same portion as my dad who got beans. We were the only ones there and it took us over half an hour (I stopped counting) to get our food (for lunch)...service was equally not great.

Without doubt the WORST drive-thru service ever! (I've only ever driven thru here so if the inside's nice and the staff actually pay attention to the customers that'll be up to someone else to review as I'm never coming back.) This particularly bad experience. I order my meal by number to avoid confusion. Nothing comes up on the screen. I order an Ice Tea with it and a cheeseburger. Nothing displayed I had to ask how much it was. Paid at the first window. And waited waited waited then finally asked for my receipt. I should have looked at it then GAH! I know better at this location. Any way the bag comes. There's a box in the bottom there's a burger there's fries there's a beverage. I go. I get home. The box is Filet O'Fish not nuggets!! I'm so mad because this happens all the time here! I load back in to the car seriously going to return it but lo and behold the receipt I had to ask for says Filet O'Fish combo. Doh! And the tea isn't an iced tea. It's Sweet Tea also printed that way on the receipt. So I'm looking forward to half my order open the burger and it's got half a leaf of nasty lettuce on it. Failure on all fronts. This is not even the worst visit I've had here. Last time I ordered a burger with the specialty cheese, onion, bacon, etc. No F-ing burger patty inside the F-ing bun!!
I just moved to the area, and come here often in the morning. I usually only get coffee, and everything moves along real quick. By the time I pay at the first window, and pull up to the second, my coffee is waiting for me.
Hell with this Mc Donald's. NO $1 Drinks. Cheap Damn Owner. No one should go here. This is like a Communist Mc Donald's. It's there way or no way. I will NEVER go here again.

Wendy’s

Reviews:
I love this Wendy's. It across the street from where I live. If I get there before the lunch rush, with only a few in front of me, I can order, pay and get my meal and be back home within 8 minutes! When the drive through is long, I go inside and order. I can usually get out and back in my car before I'd even make it to the speaker if I got in line. The food is your typical Wendy's. Good burgers for the price. They'll even take care of special orders of "no salt on fries".
This location is one of the better Wendy's in the area imo. I've mainly had good experiences and my food is usually on point. Some of the best cooked and made Wendy's burgers esp. the double cheeseburger and pretzel burger, fries can be a little salty though.
I'm writing this review as I sit behind 5 cars in the drive thru. I grip the wheel as I contemplate abandoning Wendy's for the McDonald's next door, but a voice holds me back. The voice was faint but it resonated loud and clear. Oh look, there's a car behin-- no, I'm afraid I spoke too soon. I haven't moved an inch, why am I still here? I question myself once again, but my hands were now rested beside me. Patience had won. Soon, but not soon enough, it was now my glorious turn. The cashier asks me with a bright smile if I would like to donate $1 to St. Jude's in exchange for a year of frosties. I partake in the initiative and hand over $1. She offers me a frosty to go as I watch the air mist in a haze -- the traces of her breath. I smile sweetly in return, but decline. Alas, I open the contents of my meal and remember the fondness of this legal crack which I call chili cheese fries. I proceed to mutter questionable obscenities in satisfaction. Thanks to their charitable efforts and the cashiers pleasant demeanor I bumped this review from a 2 to a 3. Oh, and who wants my frosty tag?
