Mandarin, Cantonese, Szechuan and every thing in between qualify as my favorite Chinese cuisine. P.F. Changs is none of them. As a matter of fact I think Changs is to Chinese what Taco Bell is to Mexican. Seriously, let's just go through a few of the problems I have with Changs: Salt- OMG I could be cured and smoked with all the salt in their food. I just don't get it. Why do we need all this salt in prepared meals now. I've been cooking for over 30 years and just don't get it. Portioning - When you give us 3000 calories on a plate and then hide it on your nutrition menu as 2-3 portions that's disingenuous at best. I'd rather have a portion a third the size with a tenth of the salt then I'd be moving closer to happy. Preparation - I have eaten at places where a true master of the Wok stood in his 100+ degree kitchen and created a crispy beef dish that was neither smothered in unneeded sauces nor dripping with oil. PF Changs does NOT employ this man. Now those are just a few of the problems I have with Chang's. It really does reinforce my personal belief that many place which include the word Bistro, Pub or market in their name take themselves far too seriously and usually it is the food that fails. All I can do is keep asking why there isn't anything remotely decent for Chinese in my area. Ok that's not completely true, I have Grace Garden so I really shouldn't complain too much. But, why oh why can't I have a real noodle shop near me (I know I'm always complaining about something). Sure Chang's won't kill ya (well heart attack from the salt but just limit your visits) but it sure ain't chinese dining done well.

I went to P.F. Chang's with two friends, one from Laos and one from India. Needless to say, we each had high expectations for our first time at this deceivingly upscale looking excuse for a Chinese restaurant. To be honest, for the same price, I could order the Happy Chef Special from my local takeout for about the same price, but with double the flavor and half the trumped up pseudo-Asian decor. I ordered dim sum, and instead I got several shriveled, tragic wantons that were dry and withering away like an elderly Zen master. Maybe P.F. Chang's orders their dim sum frozen. Maybe P.F. Chang's doesn't have any Chinese customers. Like the lack in authentic Asian patrons, there will now be a lack of one Indian, one Laotian and one Jonathan H. on future occasions.

Food is nothing special but decent. It is unauthentic chinese food, which works for some but not for others. Works for me because the flavor profiles fall within my comfort level. Ideal location as well as there is a movie theater a few steps away as well as a shopping mall.

Took my 7-year old son here for dinner after a DC United soccer clinic--just a special boys night. I wasn't sure he would eat anything (you know how kids can be if it's anything but burgers, pizza or chicken fingers). I ordered the shrimp dumplings (Pot Stickers) and lettuce wraps as an appetizer. Avoid the soy sauce dipping sauce for young kids. It's too spicy for the young ones. He LOVED the lettuce wraps and scarfed them down and asked for more. Gotta love that! Moo Shoo Pork was the main dish we split. I had told my son that the dish would have "pancakes" to wrap the pork in--just like a burrito. What he heard was, "we're having pancakes." Half way through the Moo Shoo he asks, "When are the pancakes coming?" I've eaten at this chain several times over the years and the food was consistent with other visits in other cities. My only complaint--and it's a BIG one--has nothing to do with the food. When we were leaving the booth we were sitting in, my son didn't realize there is a small step down from the booth. He was carrying the book he brought with him and the kids menu and fell out of the booth right on his elbow. He's a pretty tough little kid, but hitting his funny bone made him start to cry after I picked him up off the ground. The table right next to us got up to help and asked my son if he was alright. However, NOT ONE employee of the restaurant came over and said a word. Even our waitress (Allison) was standing at the next table over and just stood there. Really? Shame on you P.F. Chang's. We'll go to Cheesecake Factory next time we're at The Columbia Town Center Mall...

I went our for a dinner at P.F. Chang's with 3 people (myself included) and a baby. We called ahead and made reservations and gave them the heads up on the toddler. When we got there they decided to give us a table that made my night table look like one of those ridiculously long tables you see in those highfalutin', rich English homes in movies. Seriously, this table would have been spatially-challenged for two people, let alone 3 and a baby. Anyway, what the hell is the deal with this place? How they cram that many tables into a small area and pass the fire code is beyond me. The tables are so tightly jammed that you can hear everyone's conversations around you. What makes this worse, is the acoustics of the place are poorly designed and sound reverberates throughout the restaurant. This inevitably puts you and your neighbor tables in a shouting match. The food is always excellent though, which is probably why people risk having hoarse voices. However, I would like to say, Mr. Chang, we get it. You like salt. But do you really have to try to jam pack an entire shaker into each recipe? After my meal, I heavily considered driving over to Howard General and getting an EKG as a precautionary measure. Actually, I just remembered I have another gripe about the food. No one is being fooled by your bull poop Mr. Chang. We know you are cramming more of the garnishes and vegetables on the plate than actual meat. Every time I go here they try to disguise the lack of meat by arranging the meat under everything else. Nice try. Our waiter was nice, but slow, presumably from having to wait on the 39 and a half tables crammed into a 10 square foot area.

Nope. I don't understand more than an hour wait for the privilege of handing over piles of hard-earned money for a salty, boring imitation of what is usually a dynamic and exciting form of cuisine. THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME. Seriously, just avoid this place. I get that it's at the mall and convenient and such... but just go to the Panera and call it a day.

Every time I come here, I wonder why this place is so crowded with non Asians... maybe they don't know what real chinese food tastes like and how good it is. Anyways, I came here again around 8:30pm on a Wednesday night and had to wait 10 minutes for a table. I tried the dimsum sampler which comes with 2 vegetable, shrimp, pork dumplings, crab wontons and 2 egg rolls. The pork dumplings were the best and the other stuff was ok. We also got the chicken lettuce wraps which were good. For the entree, I got the PF Chang's version of general tso chicken which was very lightly breaded and just tasted like white chicken meat with very little flavor. We also got the kung pao shrimp which was too salty. The food is ok and it's nice inside and convenient to the mall but I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon.

I really like this place. I always leave here pleased. From the service to the food and drinks. I never have any disappointments with them. For some really good chinese style food I would recommend PF Changs.

We love PF Changs. If we could find a "traditional" Chinese restaurant we like as well, we may not go there as often - theirs is more of an Americanized Pacific fusion. But it's fresh and tasty and we like the atmosphere. Have liked everything we've tried except the beef dishes - they tend to be overcooked. Lettuce Wraps are great.

I am a fan of PF Chang but service here tonight was a complete mess. Cold soup, wrong order, long wait for corrected order, slow drink refills...and a waitress who could not keep up with the busy restaurant. At least she felt bad enough and sent the manager over to comp our meal. We were surprised with this gesture as we did not ask for anything free and actually tried to pay! Glad they insisted because it was the right thing for them to do based on our evening here!

I eat here about once a week. The service is good and the food is delicious. The portions are large so you can usually box up half to take home. There is ALWAYS a wait so make a reservation. Desserts are perfectly sized for a quick bite to satisfy your sweet tooth - make sure to get the shot glass desserts.

Let me start out by saying that I am vegan and that this is a great place to go out to dinner with friends! This particular one is part of the mall, so you can walk to the movie theater from the restaurant. The food is delicious, I highly recommend the veggie pan fried dumplings and the veggie lettuce wraps. On a Friday or Saturday night I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a reservation. The wait for 2 people was an hour when I went there, but luckily we had a reservation and only had to wait for about 15 minutes. The waiters were very friendly. Unfortunately, there was a problem with one of the meals at our table and it took a very long time for his meal to arrive. The manager came out personally when his meal was finally finished and apologized profusely for the delay and did not charge him for his meal. I appreciated that they took responsibility and apologized when something went wrong. Their drinks selection is also to be praised! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I really do not like this place and do not understand why some people fall over themselves to get a table. This place is way overrated, and pretends to be Chinese but that's patently false. (Seriously? China BISTRO?!? This places needs to look up the definitions of both Chinese food and Bistro.) There is a reason why you'll almost never see a Chinese person setting foot in this place. I went there once years ago and was so underwhelmed, never went back until this past weekend for a friend's birthday dinner. It was ridiculously crowded -- granted it was Saturday night but it was 8 PM. And I forgot how much the parking lot give me hives. Budget an extra 20-30 minutes just to find parking on the weekends. Seriously, the parking situation is beyond sucky. The food itself was meh. My vegetable chow fun was bland and I had to pour on the soy sauce to give it flavor. It was also supposedly "spicy" which was a dirty rotten lie. The chef obviously didn't know how to cook wide rice noodles. Another vegetarian in our party found meat in her food. And the mini-dessert cake was overly sweet cream cheese frosting over dry and flavorless cake. Not impressed. It also didn't help that the waiter stole some money from us. We paid with a wad of cash that we counted repeatedly, but the waiter came back saying we were short.

Delicious! We went on New Years eve and hoped we could get a seat for happy hour. Thank goodness we were able to at the bar! The rest of the dining area was on a three hour wait! All the staff were in a good mood, the food, as usual, was great and the happy hour menu is fantastic! :) import draft for $3? Awesome!

I had a fairly good experience with P.F. Chang's in Columbia which is located next to the mall. My ex-girlfriend and I arrived and placed our reservation at the front desk. It was near 5:00PM on a Saturday night so we were thinking that they would tell us to come back at 7:00PM to be seated. However, we were able to sit within a few minutes. The waitress was nice and the atmosphere was great for people of all ages. The food was very good. Overall, I rate the experience with an 3 out of 5 stars.

Similar to my experience in Columbus, the food was good and the service was pretty lackluster. The difference here is that the managers didn't step in to remedy the situation. I've frequented this establishment many times in high school, but I hadn't noticed anything wrong in the past. I'll admit, things have changed since I remembered. I arrived for lunch to be greeted by an unenthusiastic but pretty hostess. I was quickly seated and my waiter Patrick stopped by with some friendly banter and to take my order. I ordered the Garlic Noodles and Lemon Scallops. As usual, I was dining alone, and I'm not really sure if eating by yourself constitutes poorer service, but for some reason, at the two PF Chang's locations I've been to, it has. After taking my order, it took a while to get water, and my waiter had tor return to confirm that I wanted the scallops. When my food came, I got the scallops, but instead of garlic noodles, I got some bland side noodles. I wasn't sure if they had changed the appearance of the food, but halfway through, I realized that it was not what I ordered. On top of that, I did not have my glass of water refilled once. By the end, I was rather frustrated. I realize that I could have complained about my food, but I figured that would take half an hour for anyone to notice that I was trying to get their attention. When I got my check, I intended to pay with credit card, but after waiting several minutes, I gave up and paid in cash and left. I will say that the food was good or at least the scallops, and it was the only redeeming aspect of my experience. I think next time I'll just get carry out.

The food is very good. Get the lettuce wraps and the Kung Pao chicken - yummmm!!!! However, there is usually a wait. And the service isn't that good. And...well, it's not super-cheap. But the food makes up for it. If you want something cheaper, go to Pei Wei. They have virtually the same menu but at a better price.

  • Jennifer H.

Went here 3 times. Struck out 3 times. Food was EXTREMELY SALTY. Friend ordered some duck that was so dry it should have been listed as "duck jerky" on the menu. This is pure awful Americanized-Asian food. Service was mediocre. One server was a jerk, the other one was fine. If you want good Asian food, stick with the local Chinese restaurants with good reviews that are well-known throughout your community. You'll get better tasting food for a better price.

Were seated quickly around 2pm while the place was very busy (and loud). Food was good (especially the banana spring roll dessert), but our service was very slow, even after the place died down. I believe our waiter forgot about us several times. Left the restaurant at 4:15.

Went here for a friend's birthday party. Not my preferred choice of food, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Had a nice atmosphere, slightly formal. A little too expensive for me, but their dessert shots are delicious and a must try when you go.

The food is great, the service is crap, and the wait is forever. I want you to picture this: it's a Friday night -- Mom's birthday, and she really wants PF Chang's. So, you call PF Changs to make a reservation for 7pm. 'No worries!' they say. You won't need one. Settling on the knowledge of the person on the phone (and shoving aside your gut instinct), you don't make the reservation. You show up at 7, and there is a 60-75 minute wait. excuse me? Yes, they DO take dinner reservations, but for some reason, they discouraged me from making mine on what was apparently the busiest night since they had opened! When I mentioned as much, they acted like it wasn't a big deal, its just a 60-75 minute wait. On a positive note... the food... I've been to other PF Chang's, and seeing as its a chain, the recipies are standardized and the same from place to place, so its safe to say that the food is pretty darn good. It's Chinese food that's been modernized and is far from authentic. But it's yummy. The lettuce wraps are really kickin'. And their bar also has some nice selections -- they make an asian pear mojito! And they make it really well. Who knew! =)

The food at P.F. Chang's is good but seems to be nothing special. The service is pretty horrendous and the waiters and waitresses seem to be constantly busy...just not with you. All in All I would not recommend PF Changs

Went to PF Changs for the second time. Hadn't been in years. The 1st time was the Rockville location, this time it was the Columbia location and the food was deeelicious. My husband who is not a HUGE fan of Chinese food also enjoyed it. He and my kids ordered PF Changs version of General Tso Chicken but they call it something else, I can't remember the name though. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken (no nuts) and even though they still brought it to me (with nuts) I throughly enjoyed it. It is by far the best Kung Pao Chicken I have had at ANY chinese restaurant.

  • barry b.

The food is good but the selection much more limited than the average Chinese restaurant. However, the noise level makes conversation impossible. I felt as though I were caught on a NY subway during rush hour. I wouldn't return.

I used to LOVE PF Changs, but this location gave me food poisoning so be careful. I called them back to let them know and they didn't seem to care all that much.

  • Kanika P.

Choose ANY other location but this one. Decided to drop in for dinner at the bar. Ordered the lettuce wraps, and the spicy shrimp to start. I was waiting for my entree when a very large ROACH walked across the counter! I was appalled and had completely lost my appetite. The manager feverishly came over and offered his card and apologies along with dinner but quite frankly, I didn't want anything else from there. I was disgusted and it's unfortunate because one bad experience has ruined the chances for a frequent patron to return.

  • Ma-e M.

Yeah, it's better experience than a regular fast food chinese small restaurant corner at your neighborhood but PF Chang did not offer an amazing food. I ordered the lunch portion of Buddha Feast and that's all I need. The vegetables are soaking with salty soy sauce. Mixed green salad is something you can buy a pack at the grocery. The only thing that dropped my socks off is that the Egg Drop Soup is better tasting than like I said any corner chinese restaurant anywhere.

    (3)
  • Vik B.

Lettuce wraps and spring rolls were ok. Then I got a tofu dish, noodles and brown rice. I don't think I have eaten worst rice ever or main course that is this bad. Worst noodles of my life. Totally pathetic taste. The service was ok but then what's the point of spending 50 bux and wasting an evening for 2 ppl if the food is crap.

    (1)
  • Shawn M.

The egg rolls are awesome, first off. However, I am not sure how this is considered an 'Asian fusion' restaurant instead of just a Chinese restaurant. Also, it's not very 'bistro like' at all and is of course a chain of restaurants, so each one will have the same food but different quality and service. Now, I have eaten here several times, since the AMC Columbia 14 theater, the one we watch movies at is right next door. The food has always been excellent, but the wait times even during the day when people should be working, is ridiculous. On top of that, there is absolutely NO WHERE to wait at. They have like two benches right in the front door with enough seating for about 6 or 7. Well, when you have 45 people waiting an hour to two hours to be sat on a Saturday evening, that just isn't good enough (especially during the winter when you're forced to stand outside in the cold rather than give up your spot in line). I have many times gone down the row to Champps or Uno Chicago Grille just because I cannot stand sitting there waiting for almost as long as it took for the movie I just watched to get over. Even Cheesecake Factory, a larger restaurant with normally more people waiting, has more room to wait inside than this place does. In short, excellent food at this location if you have the unending patience of a saint.

If you're looking for stable, easy to count on, Asian food then PF Changs is a good bet. It's definitely not going to WOW anyone nor offer unique dishes like an authentic Asian restaurant - but what would you expect from a large national chain.

Make a reservation. It always packed. Excellent wait staff and very good food. Been there many times and have never been disappointed. Love the Lettuce wraps and crab wonton. Looking forward to my next visit.

Absolutely not, never again at this location. Me and Hubby came in here for lunch on a quiet Sunday evening, ordered our food and that's when the fun started. I got the sesame chicken, and hubby got something with pork in a pineapple sauce. My food (sesame chicken) was not fresh. The sauce seemed to be dried onto it in some spots as if it was leftover from the night before, which it probably was. The pork was chewy and the rice was cold. A few bites into our mediocre meal, my husband was like "Babe ........" and pointed to his food. To my shock, there was a bug which looked like a roach stuck to a piece of his pork. We immediately got our waitress who took the plate to the back. The manager came out to us a few minutes later and was trying to make us feel better I guess but he just managed to say something like "It probably got on your food after it was already cooked, otherwise if it was already in it while it was cooking it would be all over the food rather than just laying on it". After he saw our faces he quickly said "not that it makes it acceptable". Needless to say, the meal was comped and he even said we could order dessert on them, we walked out immediately.

First time visiting this location. I was immediately seated, and the food didn't take long to arrive. The waitress was very attentive and nice. We began with the egg drop soup, then I ordered the honey chicken, and my friend ordered the sweet and sour chicken, both with brown rice. Food was delicious. My friend also ordered the great wall of chocolate cake dessert. It was the biggest piece of chocolate cake I had ever seen, sitting on a plate with strawberry syrup surrounding it and strawberries and blueberries on the side. I didn't have any cake, but my friend enjoyed it. This was my first time at PF Changs in years, and I saw they had a gluten free section on their menu. Definitely a plus in my book, even though I didn't order from it.

We had salt & pepper prawns, veggie lettuce wraps, regular lettuce wraps & the bbq ribs. Food was awesome! Server was very attentive albeit a bit rushed. Organic Agave Margarita & PF-X drinks were great ;-)

The food was good, but the service... My server seemed to be a little out of it. I didn't dock any points. He didn't seem to be rude or anything, maybe it just wasn't his night. I'd go again.

I like PF Changs. It's not true Chinese food, but it serves a good American style Chinese food that can be personalized to your taste and health needs. You can get your meal more spicy, less salty, gluten free, etc. You can even have short grain brown rice, too. We met up with some friends on a Friday night. The place was packed!!! We started off at the bar with a drink and finally got seated after 1.5 hours. Yup, even after calling ahead and putting our name on the list 30 minutes before arriving. The service was decent though I think the wait staff was a bit overwhelmed with the Friday night crowd. The food was good. We started off with the chicken lettuce wraps. They came out promptly which was great. Order this if you don't want to have to wait too long. Our entrees were great. We ordered 4 different dishes that were all really great - orange peel chicken, wok charred beef, hunan style hot fish and dan dan noodles. The Hunan Style Hot Fish and Dan Dan Noodles were the favorite of the night. They were both cooked perfectly and the flavors were a nice complement to eachother. Of course we ended the meal with something sweet - Great Wall of Chocolate Cake and Banana Egg Rolls. Nice drinks. Good Food. Decent Service. Long Wait.

I had avoided PF Changs over the last few years because of the overly salted entrees and the shock at seeing the actual calorie count of their dishes. But on a recent business trip to MD I gave it one more chance. The spring rolls were pretty good, but I thought "It's pretty hard to mess up spring rolls. After all, I've had good spring rolls out of the freezer." Then I started eating the entree, Singapore Noodles with chicken and shrimp. The chicken and shrimp both had a bad texture, but I couldn't taste much anyway because of the overly-sweet overly-salty sauce that the entire dish was drenched in. The vegetables were ok, but the worst part was the noodles. They had the texture of Olive Garden-grade angel hair pasta. And the curry taste was barely recognizable, again because of the overly salty and sweet taste. I finished half of it and left it. The bartender (my server) was helpful but did not ask me how my food was, or why I left so much on the plate. I gave it one star, not two, because of how far below my expectations the main dish was. I experienced zero enjoyment. I only ate what I did because I was so hungry. Stick with the well-reviewed independent asian restaurants. Pass on this one.

I LOVE the chicken lettuce wraps! The only times I go to PF Chang's are to get those and maybe another appetizer. This time I also had the crispy green beans appetizer, and the sauce that accompanies them was absolutely amazing. I put it on the chicken lettuce wraps too, which was soooo good. You definitely need to try that combination! The only downside to this place is the calorie count... not so great for those new year resolutions

Always good food. Drinks kind of take a while to be made. Dynamite shrimp with white rice is my favorite to have as a main dish. And the crab wontons are amazing. Usually get auntie changs frappe with a shot of grey goose

Americanized Chinese food. Palates for the American people. Super sweet, salty, tangy, unhealthy battered and non-battered foods. Surprisingly not very greasy. Service is usually good here. Friend and I was here last week and it was pretty busy. No wait but the place was packed. We got seated and our waiter was very nice and attentive. We ordered the Northern Spare Ribs, and PF Chang Spare Ribs. A different person came by to drop off our appetizers, and we somehow got 2 orders of Northern Spare Ribs and 1 order of the other. ??? When our waiter came by, we told him about it, and he told us we can have it. Sweet! Both kinda of ribs had similar tastes, but they were good. We then ordered our main entree's, Pepper Steak and Sesame Chicken. They came out fairly fast noting it was busy there. Sesame Chicken wasn't great. Some of the pieces were dry. Others barely had any sauce on them. Some barely had meat in it. Bad portion huh? It tasted OK. Pepper Steak. Peppery steak. I love pepper. I love steak. 2 together means great! But this case wasn't. Barely any pepper. The pieces of meat were chewy. Flavor was ok. Our check came and that extra order of Northern Spare Ribs wasn't in there! It would be 2 stars, but the service and free appetizer raised it up to 3. :)

I will give props to those that aren't just rating this place 4 and 5 stars because it looks cool and the fact it's the "McDonalds of Chinese food" but I would think Pei Wei or Panda Express would be the McDonalds where PF Changs would be the TGI Fridays of Chinese food or maybe the Outback of Chinese food?! Either way I am a fan! In a previous life I did a great deal of traveling up and down the highway for work. I used to make the PF Changs in Columbia my unofficial kitchen at least once a week. The food and service was always above my expectations and I went in there at least 4 times a month for over a year. Seared Ahi Tuna or Salt & Pepper Calamari, General Changs Chicken extra spicy of course and a Asian Pear Mojito was my goto but everyone likes something different! I think it gets a bad wrap just because its a chain joint and not something unique. Well I say bah humbug to those who think that! I enjoy PF Changs!!

  • Vida O.

Aye-ya! That sums up my experience at P.F. Changs. LOL While I love the ambiance and service of this chain restaurant, the food is just really, really salty! Not sure if the chef is tasting his food or maybe he thinks this is what Americans want in Chinese food. I do like their kids menu offerings because you can never find kids menu when you go to a regular Chinese place. But the food was really below par for the most part. I had pepper steak in which the beef tasted funny and like I said overly salty. I thought that it was pricey for the amount of food served. The only good thing is probably the desserts, which are American style goodies!! Chocolate cake and apple pie lol.

I worked here about 5 years ago and still frequent whenever I get the chance. I know a lot of people say that they never know what to order and are always disappointed with their meal but if you know what to order you won't be! Having tried every dish on the menu while working here for a couple years. Here are my go-tos. Hot fish - Lightly pan fried chunks of fish in a hot black bean sauce. Excellent! Orange peel shrimp - love this. Spicy chicken and eggplant - This is my favorite dish! It's not on the menu, but they will still make this for you. Chunks of eggplant and ground chicken in a spicy brown sauce. Some other good ones that I'd recommend are the oolong sea bass, double pan fried noodles and dan dan noodles. Don't forget to finish off with the banana spring rolls!

Food was definitely five star quality! Lettuce wraps, pepper steak and shrimp fried rice... Absolutely yummy! Wait staff was friendly but the hostess was a sour puss. No smile, no welcome... Nada. Plus made us wait although we had a reservation. Would come back but maybe to another location.

I've been going here with my grandmother for years and years (maybe 30+ times) and we usually order the exact same thing (like everyone who goes here). I'd avoid weekends without a reservation or calling first, it gets very crowded and lots of families. less crowded just after lunch. the service varies. sometimes slow, sometimes great. But this last time deserves a special note, Sam was an INCREDIBLE server. My grandmother thought she was adorable (she never likes any server). She really went above and beyond. Thank you. Best service we've had in 5+ years. No question. PS: if you don't order the chicken lettuce wraps, you're crazy, ignorant, or both. :)

The BF & I visited this restaurant last weekend and it was great! It was Friday night so the wait was about 20minutes, which wasn't bad at all considering all the people there. I ordered the Orange Chicken with steamed white rice. And He ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, which come as an appetizer. The service was great and I definitely will be requesting to dine there again. :)

I've been to PF Changs twice and I'm not sure how I feel about it. One, the wait is way too long for such a mediocre Chinese place. I wouldn't wait an hour here to get a table for 2 are you crazy? I'd rather go to Cheesecake Factory down the street! Both times, the waiter was inattentive and disappeared one too many times. When you needed the waiter, he was no where to be found. When you didn't need him, he was there. The food isn't that great and I don't think it is authentic. I don't think I'll be visiting anytime soon.

I don't care. it's a chain. it's attached to a mall. but I LOVE IT. I love it so much. I go far too often as my, "I don't feel like cooking; I'm tired; I'm cranky" stop. I always sit at the bar. I get one of four things: side string beans, add chicken (a BARGAIN at 4.99) with brown rice, wonton soup, changs chicken soup, or the tuna appetizer. They are all relatively inexpensive (because you, or rather I, get at least two meals out of each). THey are relatively healthy (i mean in terms of fat and calories) and they are delicious. The bartenders are all SO nice (though there is one guy who has been there for years who is less nice, but he's an exception and seems only to work during the day). the fortune cookies are better than other places. it's just a good, solid, go-to place and I love it. :) Oh and though I do just really like PF Changs, in general, this one is better than other locations. The service is better than other places and the vibe is just nice (yes, I know it's a pf changs but just go with me on this).

Have visited this location many times and it never disappoints! Decent service and a menu with good variety. Prices are a tad on the high side but you get a good amount of food.

I think I'm over this place now. I made online reservations for 5:30, knowing that the Sunday after Christmas was going to be a freaking nightmare at the mall (and it was). We came in at 5:30, the hostess said it would be a few minutes. Then 5-10 minutes more minutes. 40 minutes later we were seated. The wait for walk-in's was an hour and a half (who the hell REALLY waits that long for dinner?!). The last time I was here we had a really nice waiter, this time our waiter was fine but not as good. The chicken lettuce wraps were good and as I remembered them. The crispy honey chicken was a little too bland. The mini desserts (my friend and I got the carrot cake and the s'mores and shared) were really, really good and the perfect size. Basically, the food at Pei Wei is virtually the same, for a much cheaper price and doesn't involve hostesses wiith attitude or an excruciatingly long wait, so unless someone else wants to go to PF Changs, I probably won't be making any trips back here.

As far as the food is concerned you can expect to be served a standard PF Chang's fare. The service is the absolutely slowest of any PF Chang's, or any other restaurant for that matter, that I have dined in. Expect to wait for approximately one hour during busy times just for the food to arrive.

This restaurant is fine, but it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want authentic Chinese food, this isn't it, but if you are looking for some American Chinese food, then you are fine here. I do think it's slightly over-priced but as long as you order the right things, you will be happy. I would recommend the lettuce wraps and calamari for a starter. I have not had that many of their entres, just sampled some of the dishes from my group. I liked their crispy honey chicken, Mongolian beef, and their Oolong marinated sea bass.

This was my first time at this location and it was okay. We were recently here for my mother's birthday so it was a large group. We went in right around the reservation time and were seated quickly. The waitress was nice and made sure we all had silverware and she took our drink orders and came back to get our food orders in a timely manner. Some of us decided beforehand what were going to get by looking on the website to see the menu. I got the Sesame chicken which I was anticipating eating based on the menu online. I was disappointed with the amount of chicken I got for almost $13 and I understood why I was given what appeared to be half a cup of brown rice.(Look at my pix) My brother got the fried rice that was cheaper and was way more quantity than I expected. My mother did not like the Changs Spicy Chicken. My sister did not really like her Chicken Lo Mein and the rest were kinda okay with what they got. If I go back I may get the popular lettuce wraps mentioned in many of your reviews but I can see myself going more to PeiWei which is owned and operated by P.F. Changs but is a much better representation of American Chinese cuisine and is a lot more affordable. It has been a while since I went to a Changs but I did not expect portion sizes to go down. It will take a while for me to go back to PORTION FAIL Chang's.

You know what. As much as I'd hate to admit this, but I'm giving this a four. 1) They are kid friendly. 2) Yes it's Asian food made by non-Asians, but that's okay. 3) Service is around average. Sometimes it takes a while to get a refill, sometimes it's really quick. and 4) I wouldn't hesitate to come here because the food is consistent, and it's kid friendly, and the service isn't too bad. And it's nice inside. So they get a four. The one thing I cant' stand is how they use wipes to clean the table. It makes the tables sticky and not clean. It's kind of lazy.

Not bad... but I think our waitress was in a hurry cuz she kept zooming by and dropping stuff. But she was nice... just fast. The food was good. We got the lettuce wraps for the appetizer. It comes with 4 lettuce, but the waitress offered to give us more if we wanted. Not necessary. Then we got an eggplant with chicken dish, a lamb dish, and a beef dish. All were very tasty, but of course, not completely authentic but what would you expect from a chain? I think my favorite out of all the dishes we got today, I'd pick the eggplant. Not too salty and goes well with white rice. Bottom line: I think with all the other chinese restaurants in Columbia, this one can be skipped... but if you're gonna be at the mall, why not?

I hadn't been here in awhile, & my friend & I met here in July when they had 20% of bottles of wine so we each gluttoned out and got our own bottle. This place has a great happy hour menu!! Who knew!! We ordered their infamous lettuce wraps, which were good as always, and a few random other dishes from their hh menu. Of course if we ordered 2 bottles of wine we were going all the way and getting the banana spring rolls. This is my favorite chain restaurant, non-chocolate dessert!! Fresh fruit, exotic ice cream and banana spring rolls. Yummmmy. I tell myself it's a "healthy" dessert because of all the fruit. HAH. Riiight. We had some serious catching up to do & our server could tell. She was friendly and accomodating and had the perfect balance of leaving us alone but never making us look for her. Great evening!

This review is not on the actual chain restaurant but rather this location. Not as great as others. When we approached the host stand both hostesses had to finish their conversation before they acknowledged us. Our trainee server was better than our actual server who had to finish her conversation before she acknowledged us. Food was okay. Undercooked rice, green onions chopped very thick making it difficult the actual honey chicken dish. Spring rolls were great, however. In a nutshell, wait staff needs customer service training. Cooks need a refresher on proper cooking time for rice, spitting out hard kernels stuck in your teeth an hour after your meal leaves a pretty bad taste in your mouth... literally.

Went in there hungry with my family. Nice setting, it was definitely packed. We got seated promptly (that's a plus). The horror doesn't start until we get seated. The plates that were set up on the table were all dirty, visibly having soot or something like that lined in the middle of the plates. After unraveling the napkins, all the silver ware and the chop sticks had food particles stuck on them. So after we finished our appetizers-lettuce wraps and salt & pepper calamari, they used way too much salt in both of the dishes. We got new plates for our entrees and they were even dirty. Service was okay... our server had a good attitude but she forgot to put our order in to the cooks for our chang's spicy chicken and we had to wait for that. I don't know but that was by far the worst experience ever dining in at a big chain restaurant, i actually expected at least it to be clean.

I've never had to wait here and the food is always good at any pf's. I love the wonton soup, but there is a lack of noodle selection, and I'm not crazy about changs spicy chicken.

We went in for lunch and only had to wait a few minutes for our table. We missed the lunch rush by minutes; lucky for us. The lettuce wraps which were very tasty and the spring rolls were our choice for appetizers. We shared the Kung Pao Chicken which was very good. The big chunks of chicken were juicy with a bit of spice. Why three stars when the food was worth more? The service. This seems to be common with other yelpers. What's the deal? Umm hey waitress, I know you're standing right next to me but for some reason I still CAN'T HEAR YOU! Speak up for crying out loud! She was somewhat lifeless. And yeah, to the lady who delivered our apps but couldn't walk six feet to the bar to give us straws that our server forgot: THANKS!!! Her response to us was, "um you need to ask your server." Okay, sorry. Didn't mean to interrupt your day and all. It's not like you're working in a restaurant or something. Sheesh!

Our waiter was attentive and efficient, even though we visited at the height of dinner rush hour. Two stars for the salt and pepper calimari - small strips. Two stars for chicken with black bean sauce - bland. Two stars for the sweet and sour pork - looks and tastes like Lean Cuisine. Three stars for lemongrass prawns with noodles. Four stars for tuna tartar. Many Chinese take-outs surpass PFC's taste and portion size. PFC markets itself as Asian-fusion but ends up just being really bad Chinese food.

the food is good and the place is nicely decorated. it's a switch from greasy carryout chinese and the decor is nice. going with friends is tons of fun. the lettuce wraps are good and the kung pao too. however, the wait is ridiculous on a wknd which is why PFC wont get more stars from me!

The service was great. The food was not so good. We stopped for a quick meal on a Sunday night after leaving the movies. We ordered the stir fry string beans and lobster fried rice and both were lukewarm. The lobster fried rice was more like fried lobster on a bed of white rice. We sent it back and ordered the chicken tacos which were okay but definitely nothing to order again. The chicken lettuce wraps were tasty as usual, however it seems like they decreased the portion size of the chicken and increased the portion of lettuce on the plate. All in all a disappointing experience.

What a waste. Pierre Francis Chang's is a pretty well known establishment around here. I have heard all mess of opinions on the food, good and bad. Now it's time for me to give it a try, and you know... I'm pretty happy I didn't pay for this. I had never been here before, but always wanted. Just never really fit it in... I suppose is how I could say it. We went for a business lunch. The event was actually really nice, which I think actually helped me to make this determination of the food. I wasn't soured by crap company or staff, and I wasn't getting a staff handy under the table that would make me think it was totally great either. Let me make sure this is known: This review is based entirely on the food. I'd give the staff and atmosphere a much higher review. I have read some bad stuff about the staff and packed-ness of the place, but that's not the experience I had. Both were great. But I'm not there for the staff or atmosphere, I'm there for the food. I only rate on those items if they totally blow Chang. The food was... who cares. That's what the food was like. Professor Frank Change's food was... I mean, really, it was lame city. It was a business thing, so there were lots of appetizers. They were all pretty good and interesting. Starts off on a good note, right? There were these crazy lettuce wraps, which I didn't get to try... but that ain't why I was there, so eff it. I do have to mention that I did want to try it, as it seems to be the first thing any of Perry Fred Chang's fans mention to me when I ask. Otherwise, I had some great dumplings and fried wontons, very yum. The appetizers were good and all, but they weren't special. In fact, I enjoyed the ones from Peking more, and those are less expensive with greater quantities. For the main coarse, I got the Chengdu Spiced Lamb. I have a love of lamb and anything lamb like, so I hopped all over this. This was kinda no good. That's not true, it was pretty good... but it tasted more like some strange place between chicken and beef than it tasted like actual lamb. Maybe I got that feeling because the sauce was so overwhelming, that it was all I freakin' tasted! What the EFF!!! I wanted a lovely tasting lamb dish, I got a friggin' General Tso's Chicken. There was plenty of flavor, it just wasn't lamb that I was tasting. A waste of perfectly good lamb. EFF you, Post Factory Chang's. The brown rice was really good, though. My lamb was $14. It was not as good or as plentiful as the $4 - $8 feast that I would have gotten at Peking, Lucky's, or Hunan. I would have saved money driving to Bowie for that killer place down there. I really hate that. Then came desert. We got the tiny portions, 'cause it was a business thing, and they had already spent $14+ each on everyone's main coarse, along with a small fortune on the mountains of appetizers. At this point, I was wishing I had partaken more in the appetizers. Then I actually got a spoonful of this strawberry cheesecake shooter thing in my mouth. This part makes me sad. This was really good. Super EFFing good. But I could get this anywhere. ANYWHERE!!! I don't need to go to Patricia Fernanda Chang's for this. To be fair, I wouldn't think "man, I gotta have ____ desert from that pan-Asian cuisine restaurant." anyway, but I figured this was the point when it might be saved. No dice. I guess it doesn't matter at this point, because even if it was an incredible and unique desert, the main meal was still boring and lacking the EFFing lamb taste I so desired. *Sigh*, the faux stir fry I make at home is better, and now I want Peking. Paula Francisca Chang, you were alright, but I wouldn't take you on a second date.

I have been to this location several times and have never had a bad experience. I hadn't been here in a while and was craving the crab wontons, so my friend and I visited. Service: Top notch! Our waiter provided the best service. He was very attentive and offered his opinion on several of the menu items. We never had to ask for refills on our drinks...He was kind of like a stealthy drink ninja! Food: We'd been eating out a lot recently, so today's trip was all about the bang for buck. So once we saw the "Chang's for Two" menu, it was like we struck gold! -wonton soup: Was as I expected it to be...however, they had shrimp in it. I've never had it like that before, but it was tasty. Nice surprise. -Crab wontons: As always...these are so good! Crunchy edges and just enough filling! -Crispy honey chicken/crispy honey shrimp: Not too much batter, sweet, crunchy. It wasn't anything to write home about though. -Banana spring rolls with coconut pineapple ice cream and fresh berries: This dessert item isn't on the "Chang's for Two," but it comes at a lower price when ordered with the meal. Like the crab wontons, this particular dessert is another reason why I like this place. The spring rolls are crunchy and warm and drizzled with honey. The ice cream had pieces of toasted coconut and pineapple in it. My friend was loving this so much that he wanted a whole tub to take home! The fresh berries help to tie everything together. All in all, we got what we wanted from PF's that night...satisfying food for a good value. Would definitely come back to this location again.

I've been going to this location for years. As time has gone on the service has gone downhill. It is a large location however if you go any time during a normal meal time expect a wait. The front desk staff are uninviting and is not what you want to see when you first come in to a restaurant. Since it is at the mall parking is very difficult to come by. Servers are hit and miss here. Some are very attentive however most are very difficult to track down. Moving on to speak on the food. I do you love the food here. It is the main reason that I come back time again. My favorite items include the crab rangoon's, the chicken lettuce wraps, the egg drop soup and most of the chicken dishes. They also have pretty good dessert menu. What I really like is that they offer small shot like size desserts.

This is one of the best PF Chang's locations that I have been to. The food has always been consistent and the service has never done anything horrible to me. There can be huge waits here on the evenings and weekends. I love getting the curbside pickup. Good stuff!

Myself, Jordan K and the K family had an interesting experience at PFC ! Upon being seated the waiter immediately mixed in our hot sauce and soy sauce without even asking us. Then when it came time to ordered he bypassed the Mrs K, Jordy, and went straight to Jordan to inquire on his order. So much for ladies first! Drink refills was sparse as another waiter actually asked if I was drinking sprite or water and promptly refilled my beverage. Other than that, the food was good. We shared the Singapore noodles, Szechuan beef, and Sweet Sour Chicken. The Szechuan beef wasn't too spicy but I wasn't expecting it to be since its American Authentic Chinese! In the future, we'll call ahead and make a reservation to ensure prompt seating.

Have to express disappointment with dinner here last night. We enthusiastically agreed to celebrate my daughters college graduation with a delicious meal at PF Changs. It was a late Tuesday afternoon and the resturant was only a 3rd full with patrons. Started out with 10 minute wait for staff to place us at a table for 6. Finally seated and waited another 10 mins for wait staff to present, upon which we ordered beverages, nothing exotic, just coke, ice tea and hot green tea. Waited another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive only to be told they may be salty b/c of problems with the 'fountain water'. Yes, all drinks were salty..waitress brought a fresh round only to determine they were also salty. Had to settle for bottled drinks..told manager running to Costco to buy bottled water. Waitress took order for appetizers..specified vegetarian lettuce wraps and vegetarian spring rolls. After another 10 minute wait (starting to notice others seated nearby being served entrees after arriving well after us) appetizers arrived and the wraps were beef, not the tofu based vegetarian we ordered. Waited another 10 minutes and waitress took order. After another extended wait, entrees began to arrive, albeit only 2/3rd's of the order. After a 5 minute wait a different server arrived with a food tray and several entrees and began placing them on the table only to see shrimp, beef and the like..we are all vegetarian and were shocked to see this and then the waitress came by and told the server that was another tables order..the food had been placed before us and they collected it, but left the rice..after a few moments our complete proper order arrived and the entrees were delicious. The waitress stopped by about 5 mins later to offer refills for my son's soft drink and brought him one only to find the saltiness worsened. The waitress cleared the table and asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu and we accepted because we were celebrating my daughters graduation. After 15 minutes of not seeing the waitress, she arrived with the dessert menu which we refused because of being exasperated by the poor experience and long waits for a half busy resturant. In summary we were VERY disappointed in the experience and have noted a marked decline in service quality and attention to detail. Guess we are spoiled with the nearby competitors, Maggiano's and Seasons 52. I never write reviews, but felt compelled to do so to warn others about this establishment.

Stopped here for lunch on Sunday and decided to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day. I ordered a Mai Tai and the gluten free changs spicy chicken with brown rice and my boyfriend just wanted the kale and quinoa dip appetizer. My order is generally my go-to as it's good and filling. The service was slow, had to ask for gluten free soy sauce when they normally bring out the selection of sauces or bring GF once I order something off that menu. My entree size seemed to be smaller than the other times I've ordered it... maybe it was because someone in the kitchen wasn't paying attention? The Kale & Quinoa dip was really interesting and good. Nice to see them changing up the menu a bit

It had been awhile since visiting PF Chang's and wouldn't you know we chose the first day of their brand new menu for our most recent trip. They weren't very busy for an early Wednesday lunch but our server was very polite, personable and attentive. I could have easily eaten the entire plate of the crabmeat wontons; they were crispy but light and yummy. I was also happy that the calorie content was no where near the usual chain restaurant lunch. My only complaint was that my dish was lacking serverly with the chicken/shrimp to noodle ratio. My husband experienced the same with his dish. I think I found 2 small shrimp in mine. Also, they went way too heavy on the curry. I took my leftovers home and stir fried it with some cabbage and personally found it much better in both texture and flavor. Pretty expensive for a normal weekday lunch, especially for how skimpy some aspects of the dishes are, but definitely something I get a craving for randomly.

The service and food is usually always good every time i come here. The crab wontons are very good , the garlic noodles and hot fish are probably my favorite on the menu and the fried banana with pineapple coconut ice cream is just great! I have had maybe 1-2 encounters with poor service here but for the most part the service is also very good.

What's going on with this place? We used to LOVE it and in my mind, it's declined in the preparations of their food. The only shining star was the wonton soup. Tender wontons, shrimp, silken chicken and a flavorful broth. Purchase the large bowl, get an app and you'll be light on the wallet and feel full as well. A Korean barbequed chicken stir fry, served with a kimchee slaw atop. The flavors indiscernible and the slaw, a disappointment. It was crisp and sweet, though lacked the red pepper spice, associated with kimchee. Sichuan beef was overcooked and chewy, with a heavy hand on the soy. A chicken stir fry lacked the zip that I'm used too, though the meat was tender and abundant. A hefty price tag on a mediocre meal; I will not be back.

I was here yesterday with an out of town colleague. I would prefer not to come as it's just an overpriced glorified Chinese restaurant, in my opinion. We ordered the lettuce wraps for an app. She then had the orange chicken & I ordered the chicken & broccoli. It was decent. No wow factor. Until.... Dessert. I ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Sweet Treat ($2.95). It was amazing. Like orgasmic amazing. I forgot all about the over priced cuisine and all I could focus on was how something so scrumptious with such a low price tag could make me so happy. It was beyond amazing. Imagine: chocolate mousse, a brownie, a kit kat bar & a snickers bar somehow had a baby. That is what it tastes like. It's heaven. If I ever go back, I'd get this. Just this. Nothing else. I forgot to take a pic, so the one I have attached is stolen from urbN spoon.

I've eaten at this location before and the food was good - MUCH better than I had today at lunch. We both had Mongolian Beef and Egg Drop Soup. The portions were smaller than I remember and not as tasty as I've had in the past. Good thing I had a gift card!! Don't think I'll be returning. The only good thing was my vegetable spring roll. Service was good, but we did NOT enjoy the food.

I won't come back to this restaurant again. The hostesses were unfriendly. Our appetizers and main courses came out but we still didn't have our silverwares. I came with my family, 7 people. We ordered about 9 dishes, and only Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps tasted good. The food were totally not tasty. Don't order Pepper Steak and Beef á la Sichuan. These dishes were not Pepper Steak and Beef Sichuan, totally weird.

Where do I start? The Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, lemon chicken. This food was so darn good, fresh and more than enough to share. Omg I'm so happy I finally went. Everyone ordered something different and we all shared. We even had some late arrivals who didn't need to order because we had enough food left over!!!

I usually don't eat at chain restaurants, but when I do, I lower my own expectations. For this PF Changs, I guess I didn't lower them far enough. We were told there was a 10-15 minute wait for a table, but after 15 minutes and seeing other parties of the same size be seated who we knew had arrived after us, we had to make a complaint. Fortunately, they seated us immediately with apologies, but you would think with all their fancy technology and ear pieces they would be able to keep things straight. Our server was less than stellar. When she brought the wrong drink, she came back with the same one, telling us that the name had changed and it was the correct drink. I find it really hard to believe that you can call an IPA a lager and still say that it's the same beer. The orange and ginger edamame was coated in too much salt, and too little orange and ginger - quite disappointing. My Ma Po Tofu tasted fine, but the tofu was not as crispy and firm as I would have liked. Biting into a piece resulted in a creamy liquid filling my mouth, which isn't really the best way to serve tofu. The spicy chicken was perfectly breaded, fried and seasoned with the spicy sauce, but the dish could have used a vegetable or two. The best part of the meal was our side of asparagus, which although quite delicious, was served in a pool of oil which made me regret every bite I put into my mouth. Please stop killing your vegetables by drowning them in oil!

I absolutely love this place!!!!!! The food is always fresh and flavorful!!! I will say that I have gotten some sticky (overcooked) noodles and they gave me a free meal gift card for the value of the food. So...I can't complain there. The service is always great. I am a creature of habit here and tend to get the same thing. One of these days I'm going to expand my palate on their other menu items. All in all this is an awesome place that I frequent very often!!!!! You should too. OH, I almost forgot...I love their Strawberry Cucumber Lemonade...of course they only give you an 8oz glass and by the time they add the ice you only get 4oz....

This location has fallen off a cliff. And clearly can't get up. The wrong meals were delivered. The egg drop soup smelled of fish. Really nothing went well. And the server was either having a bad day or doesn't like being there. It's a shame because this wasn't the first bad experience. It used to be excellent. Not sure what happened.

I upgraded PF Chang one more star for the efforts that the store manager ( I assume) tried to accommodate my request for more curry soup or sauce in the Chiang Mai curry noodle or the recreation of khao soi. He gave me free chicken soup which almost tasted like Tom Yum soup. Just add more lime juice. The new dish, Chiang Mai curry noodle is creamy with the pretty good flavor profile of khao soi. It's like carbonara pasta with curry flavor. The pad Thai tastes almost like pad Thai. It is a bit soggy. The noodle has too much water.

Had to come here for lunch today and I ordered Budda's feast (steamed) with the sauce on the side. Ordering this dish steamed basically means you're getting steamed vegetables. When the dish came out, everything was cold and WAY over cooked. Literally felt like I was eating baby food. In similar situations I would usually order something else, but I don't really like their food. It's just sad that they can't get steamed vegetables correct.

Have not been to this location in years. Overall good atmosphere. Nice decor. Music is soft not too loud. Smooth jazz style. We had lettuce rap and egg rolls. The egg rolls were grease at the bottom. This was surprisingly in an upscale please like this. You would find that at one of the neighborhood take out. Our lunch dishes were prepared to order. No issues. My wife peach mojito was too minty was sent back. She was still not over impressed with the drink. Desert we loved the mini desert they are gone but we still enjoy lt. Bottom line I will return here or another location

Very enjoyable evening for an intimate birthday celebration with my husband. Our waiter Mario was very knowledgeable about the new spring offerings on the menu which helped me steer clear of certain items. My husband and I selected from the Pri Fixe menu, which has quite a few options for $40. We received soup, a starter, entrée and dessert. Don't get to hyped about dessert because you'll be finished in one good bite, but you'll be full when you're done.

It's P.F. CHANGs. What else is there to say? It's good. This location generally has a shorter wait than Cheesecake Factory. If you're trying to make a particular movie time and squeeze dinner in beforehand, check here. If not, the pizzeria next door always has open seating.... Lol

It's a struggle having been recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Trying to maintain a gluten-free diet is quite difficult, especially when it comes to eating out. Luckily, PF Chang's doesn't just have fabulous food but they also have their own Gluten Free Menu! It was helpful to not even have to ask the hostess for the GF Menu, because the GF options are printed on the back of the regular menu. There were at least 20 different options and I even got to eat the yummy yummy chicken lettuce wrap appetizer! I am looking forward to having PF Chang's as a suitable option for date night in the future :)

Dropped in at this location after discovering the Maggiano's had not opened yet on last visit to Columbia. No lunch crowd and was able to get seated immediately, even though the booth was next to a sometimes noisy waitering station, albeit better than sitting middle of dining room with boisterous toddler. Our waitress was great - attentive and just enough conversation and attention without being meddlesome or over the top. The ambiance was fine. Modern and clean. Music was a mix of everything,. Drinks -pink cherry cosmo was just ok, Especially for the price$. LoMein dish smacked of pre-prepared. Egg drop soup was a bit salty. Salad was nothing to write home about - bagged salad with dressing already added. Also, the first choice of dressing - ginger - was "no longer available". Not sure if that meant for the day, or ever again in life. Just never heard of an Asian restaurant where there was no option for a ginger-based dressing. Chicken added to dish was sparse. Shrimp was just enough to keep from getting mad. Kid's honey chicken was sub-par to McD's happy meal. Ok for the experience for lunch.Something different and kids got to practice using chopsticks again. Would have been upset if had paid dinner prices. Will stick to authentic China bistros in future.

First time ever, and the service alone makes you want to stay. I'm not a fan of asian dishes, but the waiter made me feel comfortable with his knowledge of all the dishes and things I may like. Drinks and food were great, but even better was the waiter. Hands down, I had to tell the manager that he should offer a raise to their staff.

Went on a Friday night and it was one of the most delightful experience I ever had. I and my friend wanted to try our usual favorite hot and sour soup but our server suggested trying chicken noodle soup so we tried that and it turned out to be simply amazing. Then from their newly introduced fall season menu we tried, chicken wings (lollipop style) and quinoa fried rice. Both the dishes were delicious and cooked to perfection. I would like to Mention few words about our server, she was simply awesome, she was sweet.. She knew the menu in and out. She gave 10 dollar gift card to be spend for next visit(makes her even more awesome ;-)) . She suggested really good things on the menu. Kudos to her. Also she asked us to order green beans which was really amazing. Will definitely come back!!!

Terrible service and average food. The firecracker chicken was disgusting. Don't try it

Don't waste your money! If you need to eat PF Chang, go to your local grocery store and buy the frozen version! Seriously! To sum it up in one word...GREASY and tasteless!!! One thing that irritated me the most...we ordered Appetizers BEFORE ordering our main dish. Then Courtney, our server brought our main dish out not more then 5 minutes after appetizers were served. The waitress didn't seem to care and said she would be happy to put our meals back under the heat lamp. Are you serious! Also, "the manager" finally showed up and barely acknowledged each table as he walked through the room. I don't know about you but, spending $75 for lunch is a lot and for the service received, and the quality of the food...NOT WORTH IT. As I mentioned before, if you need to eat PF Chang, go get the frozen version at your local grocery store.

Really unauthentic. They were playing disco, Motown, pop, and rock on the radio. Happy hour ends super early (6pm), but I guess it makes sense....not like we're in the city. Food was good. Just found a hair in my take-home box. Not going back.

Had dinner last night at P F Chang. The worse meal ever!!!! Had shrimp lol mien. Looks like a TV dinner served on a plate. The taste was awful. Will not be eating there again. The battered shrimp appetizer was chopped something in a tons of batter. Skip this place.

This PF was great. We had a reservation and we came in at our time and was seated within 5 minutes. We ordered our soup and it came quickly. Then before we knew it our dinner was at the table. The service was great and the food was right on time. They could add a little bit more meat on the sesame chicken and Mongolian beef. Auuuh yes, just a little bit. The portions on those two items seem to be getting smaller by the minute. Great location too.

I love PF Changs and I've been to so many. But this specific location in Columbia seems to be a hit or miss. The food quality is always outstanding, never had any complaints at any location. But the service seems to be lacking here at times when it really shouldn't be. Our waiter disappeared for almost our entire visit. There was over an hour gap between when he took our order and finally came out of hiding to give us our bill. Luckily, I really didn't have anywhere to be that night and we were really relaxing but for a Monday night, when the restaurant was literally dead (we were two of no more than 15 people in the entire place) I find this just unacceptable. We were also not the only table that had this issue - a nearby table that had the same waiter was equally as annoyed. Right when I was finally going to ask someone for the bill, our waiter reappeared. I have been to this location multiple times and generally don't have the problem that I described above. The consistency in food quality is what keeps me coming back. But I really hope the service gets an improvement.

I went with my mom on a Tuesday night and everything was okay. The hostess who sat us was so sweet, and our server was nice and funny too. We got the chicken lettuce wraps to start and those were my favorite part of our meal. We also got egg drop and hot and sour soup. For an entree I got the changs spicy chicken and brown rice. It came out hot which was good, but I was just not a huge fan of the taste. My mom ordered mongolian beef but instead she got some candied shrimp and walnut dish. She liked it and said it was a good mistake. I thought it was really sweet. Service wasn't bad, a little slow for the end of a Tuesday night, but like I said our server was really nice. Overall not a bad experience, I just wasn't a fan of the food!

This PF was so much better than the one back in VB. For starters, my waitress was a real person who not only laughed but encouraged me when I debated getting a drink at Noon on the 4th of July. That's my kind of staff. The 'Long Island Tequila tea' was delicious. We ordered two apps, the crispy green beans (which I'm obsessed with at any chain restaurant) and the red hot dumplings. The green beans were exactly as delicious as I expected them to be, though I failed to see the 'red hot' aspect of the dumpling. They were tasty though. My husband had the Lunch portion of Kung Poa Scallops, they were very good. Came with veggies, rice, and soup. I ordered some Dynamite Shrimp for my 'entree' because - well - it's delicious and I'm an adult so I eat what I want lol Overall, a good lunch.

So let me give you guys an upset on the stolen bag issue at PF Chang's. One of the Senior Managers called me to apologize and sent me a gift card for their restaurant along a gift card for the store I shopped at (in which the stolen items were from). Because of this resolve, I will give them another opportunity to redeem themselves. BUT I will still be watchful when return. It's so sad that such an incident can change your whole outlook on such a great brand.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
