Stopped in for lunch and was the only one in the place. The burger was good and the beer was cold but boy does this place really need some TLC.

Be advised this restaurant will not honor the yelp deal!!!! Went back tonight only to be disappointed about them not accepting our yelp deal...and our dinner. Don't think we will be back. Note to management: Step up and get the deal removed, or honor it...YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!

Server was very attentive and helpful. We had a better than average caesar salad. And the pub dishes were great. Fish n chips worth returning for. Stay away from the crab dishes. Crab ball apps were very skimpy for $13 and the crab cake was small and over cooked. Nice atmosphere but stick with the pub grub,.

We arrived in Cambridge by sailboat and very much appreciated the linen covered tables on the front sidewalk where we could dine in style complete with a glass of wine, while our dog rested beneath the table. The service is amazing, with a very attentive waitress who shared her knowledge of the menu as well as Cambridge events and history when asked. The menu is a bit of hybrid of a solid selection of classic Irish foods and local seafoods. They feature lighter specials which may not be printed on the menu such as soft shell crab and yellowfin tuna. The food is amazing, with attention to detail and fantastic presentation. They had a few vegetarian entrees which I greatly appreciated. They are also accommodating and will leave seafood/meat out of dishes to make it vegetarian if asked. The prices are lower than what they should be. Crowd is mostly out-of-towners looking for a foodie type of place. LOVED IT. Oh, and there's also a fun beach bar in the back!

Very elegant restaurant inside with linen tablecloths and generous bars. The open kitchen is visible from the restaurant and from the outside tables on the front sidewalk. Food is excellent. Fresh ingredients, amazing favors and great presentation. Our server was wonderful (prompt and knowledgable). The Tuscan salad with pine nuts and vinaigrette is fantastic as is the rockfish stuffed with crab imperial. They kindly brought a bowl of water for our dogs who slept under our table outside while we dined. I would definitely recommend and will most certainly we back. And if you're looking for something casual, they have a pub menu with sandwiches, fish and chips, crab etc. Must order the fried pickle slices. Yum!

We got there at noon for lunch. Our food arrived at 1:45. It was a soup and a sandwich. No bread, crackers, or anything. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The pannini was soggy. The server gave the people behind us a free check because their fish was basically raw. They left without even eating their food. We were too hungry, unfortunately, to do the same. Writing this review is the only enjoyable thing that came from this dining experience. Awful food, even worse service. They said they had a new menu, so maybe that's why they're having a rough time getting their act together. Until they do, hit up Arby's instead.

well, here's what's happening at this place. the food isn't bad. it's not expensive. the drinks are quite reasonably priced. HOWEVER, the service is spotty as heck. we walked in, no one was there to seat us. we walked to the other room (?) and asked if we could sit outside. the confused waitress asked us how many and we replied with "four". she said well I would have to put two tables together. we said "...okay...?" she then struggled to move two two-top tables together and asked us if we knew what we wanted to drink. someone in our party asked for a drink menu and she said "no, but we can make what you want". okay. ordered some beer and two vodka sprites. she came back with beverages in hand and asked us if we knew what we wanted to eat. we weren't starving, so told her we wanted three appetizers. she told us she forgot her pad but she thought she could remember. we ordered the food and she scurried away, not repeating the ordering or even acknowledging the order. just...left. food came, it was fine. good even. the kicker was when we told her we had 20% off (from an offer on Yelp!) she said, I don't think I know this. checked with the manager or owner and that woman came out and said, "someone messed with our computer system and we can't accept this". What? I told them they had another coupon on Yelp and she said, hm. we fired him and he was handy with the computer. And then I proceeded to become pissed off and write this review. it wasn't the money, it was the sketchy service that put me over the edge. I won't go back here. I like to feel welcomed when I enter a restaurant and this was the opposite. order the potato skins, though, if you go. those are tasty.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Beautiful, sexy atmosphere, very well decorated and large, looks like there may even be room for parties, etc in the rear. There is a lovely little piano placed on an elevated deck in the dining area with seating around. I'm wondering if it gets put to use, I went on a weeknight so I'm not sure. Anyway, I was impressed with the atmosphere and the bar, and couldn't wait for my food to arrive. I was totally pleased again! The presentation of the food, the service everything was up to par. Granted I only had the crab soup, and an appetizer of steamed shrimp and scallops however both were flavorful and delicious and filling as well. Oh let's not forget the home baked bread basket with three varieties of bread. YUMMY. My server Eileen was the best, she was pleasant and cordial and professional. She also advised me that this was their 10th year!! I would definitely go here again and again, and if I ever had the opportunity to be in the area of Cambridge on a Saturday night, I would love to have a romantic dinner here with my sweety, it looks like just the place.

We wanted to go to Bistro Poplar for dinner and thought we had a reservation but there was a mix up so we wandered down the street and found Canvasback's. It was either this place or Jimmie and Sook's but we had already been there for lunch and wanted to try something new. At first we thought the place was closed for renovations or something. Their food was mediocre at best (very salty) and the place smelled gross (my guess was whatever they mopped with or cleaned the tables with was not clean). We sat in the pub section and could hear the cook screaming at our waitress. The service was bad and it was really dark. Then their entertainment started - a woman singing and playing piano. Sounded like a drag queen on crack. We were laughing as we left because they had speakers outside the restaurant and all you could hear was the singers voice - you didn't even have the piano to drown out the awfulness!!

Way overpriced. The cheepest entre on the dinner menu is spagetti with bread and salad for $19. Have eaten here twice and won't go back. First time ordered a spinach salad and got just that! Spinach in a bowl with a basalmic vinagrette dressing. No feta, onion, egg, tomato, or even croutons! The sandwich was soggy, to boot. Waitress said they had a big private event the day before and were out of some things. Hey, it's a restaurant. Our most recent dining experience included a 45 minute wait for our appetizer. No bread was served. The food was quite good,, but again, pricey. DAYOR....dine at your own risk.
