Based on proximity and awesomeness, Chicken Delicious gets an A in my book. My husband and I only spent $12 for a really delicious meal here. That's cheaper than a pizza! It's a casual, bare-bones, laid-back place, but it looks newly remodeled and nice and clean. The staff was also very nice. It seems to be a popular neighborhood place, with lots of people coming in for pick-up orders. I got the quarter chicken with fried plantains and cole slaw, which in retrospect was probably not the most healthy choice, but they have non-fried and non-mayonnaise-y options like salad and beans and rice as well. The chicken was fantastic. I'm not a Peruvian chicken connoisseur (I've had Delia's in Springfield, VA and I really liked that too), so I don't have a lot to compare to, but the chicken was really tender and seasoned perfectly. I want more! I'll definitely be back, and this time I'm going for the half chicken! P.s. - Careful with the green sauce. It's spiiiicy!

If you want great, tasty, well seasoned and marinated Peruvian chicken check this place out! You won't be disappointed. This is the best i've tasted in the area so far. Pretty good stuff. I liked it much better when it was 'Chicken Delicious' only because you could walk up to the counter place your order and watch them prepare it. There was also a quiet eating area. Now it's called 'La Chaquita', they've put a wall up so you can no longer see them prepare the food, its kitchen style. They have waitresses to greet and seat you, so for carryout it's kind of awkward to be hanging around at the tables while families are eating and waitresses are whizzing by. They also have 2 big flat screens on opposite walls, blaring Telemundo. Not the type of place you want to sit down and enjoy a meal. Unless of course you like Telemundo. Also they no longer take credit/debit, CASH ONLY, which was an inconvenience for me and another customer who had to cancel their order. I'm still on the fence with 'La Chaquita'. Nonetheless the chicken was definitely delicious!!

I used this place to cater a meeting I had for my sales team. I was a little nervous since they had just opened the previous day, and I was ordering 15 chickens and enough sides to feed a small army. Thankfully everything worked out and tasted great. This is a solid choice for chicken if you find yourself in this area. The rice and beans are enough to bring me back, the chicken was just an added bonus. In talking with the owner, he was telling me how he worked at Chicken Out for a number of years and took what they did and made it better. He is not kidding, his food is great.

Chicken Delicious is certainly true to its name. Due to it's proximity to our home it has become a weekly visit for me and my wife. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistently great. Our regular order is the whole chicken meal with fried yucca and plantains as sides.

Finally, a place close to my home (Cheverly) that I can get take-out from! The chicken is juicy and has a great flavor. The rice & beans are the perfect side and I love the fried yucca. They also make some pretty darn good pupusas to order. The staff and owner are super friendly and the place is clean if you choose to eat in.
