Pretty good Mexican in the city. Their Al pastor is a clear stand out. Its flavorful and tender. Unfortunately, the chicken and carne asada lack the same rich, smokey flavor. Enchiladas and chile rellenos are very good. Burritos and tacos can end up a little dry unless you're adding a healthy amount of salsa. Verdict: Choose your items wisely and you'll get a delicious meal.

This place has become our delivery food go-to. And though we rarely ever used to get delivery, now we seem to get it a whole lot more since we found this place. I never really get anything besides the mole chicken enchiladas because it's just that awesome. However I've tried the burritos and tacos when my ladyfriend ordered them and they are also really good. This place could stand on it's own just in terms of the food, but the fact that they deliver and the prices are decent makes it that much better. The delivery is also pretty fast.

We visit Tijuana at least once a week. Delicious tacos and burritos. Great Mexican place to eat very close to the park. Service is really quick.

Wow! I'm glad I finally found this place. Totally walkable from home and just off Patterson park on the NE corner. Had the stuffed poblano and it was done just right. Batter was perfect. Red sauce coulda been a bit better but hey. The rice and beans were stacked with flavor. Shrimp tacos were most assuredly of the bangin' kind. Shrimp was big and they didn't skimp on the stuffins. Plenty of limes for the squeezin' and big chunks of avocado on the salad. This is quickly going to be to go-to place for good Mexican in my area. I advise anybody in the Patterson Park or Highlandtown area to check this spot out for some good Mexican eats. Holler at it, hon!

Patterson Park Area, you have a hidden little gem! You'll walk by this place easily thinking its a closed down bar with it's Pepsi logo sign. Service is friendly. However, it was extremely crowded in there so we took our food to go. We ordered Al pasto tacos, chorizo tacos, grilled chicken chimichangas, and a grilled beef burrito. The fact that they have cactus there already makes them a go to place. I'm not sure what it is about east coast mexican food. But, it's hard to find places that have cactus. They, however, ran out of tamales and soupa. this is was extremely heartbreaking. I plan to go in there and reorder that. Plus, they have mexican soda and sangria (non alcoholic) which is always good. The place is decently priced. You get a ton of food. Burrito comes with rice and beans. They included sliced avocados, lettuce and relish with the chimichunga. The tacos received three containers of hot sauce (2 reds and a verde), lettuce, cucumbers, CACTUS!!!, and some various things. Happy.happy.happy.happy with you, TIjuana Tacos 3. Now, please, where is ONE and TWO!?

Definitely one of the relatively unknown gems of east Baltimore. Their tacos are the best I've had in Baltimore. Really enjoy the cactus they grill and the other veggies that come on the side dont forget the rice pudding!!! May also consider trying the location on Fleet St.

Ordered delivery and pretty fast! Nice size portions and tasted really good! The marinated chicken was really spicy, but super good....will definitely order again :)

There's a certain genre of joint that you go to for the food but are completely scared pantsless when getting your food. This is one of those places. Tijuana Tacos 3 is a dive, plain and simple. It quite honestly looks like it has about three billion health code violations, and the overall image is one that should be avoided by every restaurant on the planet. Needless to say, there are bars on the door, and virtually no-one speaks English. The tacos were excellent but, unfortunately, I decided to err on the side of adventurousness and mainly get a fajita platter, which was simply underwhelming. It was under-seasoned and bland in a terrible way - and they forgot to provide tortillas to boot. I ended up more or less choking down bland grilled meat with very little flavor - not a pleasant experience. Still, the tacos here seem to be the main thing to go for, so I'd definitely stick with those.

THIS.IS.SO.LEGIT. Having had just moved to Baltimore from LA, we were skeptical of any "Mexican" restaurants on the east coast and have been disappointed with the last 10 restaurants we visited in the city. Well our spirits have been revived thanks to this place. No words, just praise and full bellies. Had the carne asada tacos and burrito and excited to try everything on the menu. Authentic authentic authentic- coming from two huge taco snobs. Its pricier than we expected ($10 for a burrito and $3.75 for tacos) but so is a plane ticket back to LA for a binge eating weekend.

Found this through yelp, we were a bit skeptical about the location and first impression. But the staff and patrons were very friendly. The place is little small and got crowded pretty quick, we waited about 15minutes before they took our order but I guess they were busy because it was a Saturday night. Another 15-20 minutes after that for food to be ready. Food was yummy and spicy. We had the chicken burrito and chicken/beef tacos to go. Was well priced too for the portion size. We have it on our keep list. Will definitely be back soon.

I love their food. I went to Mexico for a semester long study abroad and fell in love with REAL tacos and Mexican food and now really try to find the most authentic places that serve Mexican. This is that! I would not hesitate trying one of everything on their menu-- but I end up always getting the same thing: their tacos al pastor. Yum! I've also had their chicken flautas, guacamole and tres leches cake. All good.

My heart was a wee bit broken after the Tijuana Tacos on Fleet Street closed down. The food was so scrumptious, so authentic, and so darn close to my house! After hearing the news of their demise, I asked myself, "How can I go on? What is left in a world without Tijuana Tacos?". But behold, a light from the heavens shone down, and a new TT in the form of 3 appeared in my Yelp results! Huzzah!!! I ordered the standard nachos, which were a pile of chips, cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, onions, and tomatoes big enough to feed a small army, followed by the Al Pastor and Spicy Meat tacos. You kids weren't playing when you raved about these Al Pastor tacos. They are phenomenal. Tender, perfectly spiced meat with little bits of grilled pineapple. I'm usually not a savory-sweet kinda girl, but damn these puppies are delicious! The Spicy Meat taco, as always, pleases the palate with crispy and tender pieces: forever a go-to from this place. Reunited and it feeeeeeels so gooooooood.

If only they had margaritas! I came on the recommendation of helper yelpers. My order: guacamole with chips, chile rellenos. I was hoping so, SO hard that - for once - somebody could cook me some rellenos. The answer? Unequivocally, yes. The batter was excellent, cheese tasty, sauce was interesting - and even the peppers themselves tasted great. I am so thrilled! The black beans had an excellent flavor and were cooked well. The texture was exactly right. The rice was seasoned well - mix it with some relleno sauce and eat it all up. Guacamole was limey, which was...good. I prefer a bit of a stronger cilantro flavor in guacamole, but I did like it a lot. The chips are thick and crunchy. They're great for dipping since they're sturdy enough to load up. Service was fast. I got my order to go, it's kind of a squeeze in the divey restaurant. I know I'm coming back. I'm very satisfied for a first visit.

I have been dying to try this place as I've lived in the area for a while and have heard really good things. What I got: 1 chicken burrito, 1 carne asade burrito, pico de galo with chips. Pros: Food was very fresh. Chips were SO good. Thick cut and really crispy! Cons: The salsas that come with the burritos and the pico de gallo, was SO spicy. The seeds are left into the peppers when they cut them, making the salsa extremely spicy. So unless you LOVE really SPICY things, skip this! I don't know that I'll be back, it was just OK.

The people who work here are ridiculously friendly. The food is phenomenal. It's not exactly the most pretty place to sit down and eat, if that's something that matters to you, however it's very authentic. The tacos are delicious. All of them. The burritos are huge, and amazing. Get an agua every time you order. They're like 3 bucks for a liter, made fresh, and made from actual fruit. The cubana is gargantuan, and will change your life. Don't let the look of this place scare you. Every thing is made in house, and its all amazing.

Similar to some other reviewers, I checked out Tijuana Tacos 3 after seeing a number of regular Yelpers had given it solid marks. I wasn't disappointed! Went for lunch today, and ordered three tostadas-- two al pastor (marinated pork) and one carne asada grilled beef), and a side of beans, to go. I agree with the numerous reviews about the food being on the pricey side, as my order was over $13 with tax. When I got home I was surprised to see the container with the beans also included rice. Both were pretty good, but the stars were the tasty tostadas. The hard tortilla and meat were topped with beans, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes with a little sour cream, and they were delicious. I actually enjoyed the beef a little more than the pork, which I didn't anticipate since others have raved about the al pastor. Both the red and the green salsas had a nice but not overwhelming kick (a la some at Taqueria el Sabor del Parque). Have to admit I was stuffed after refusing to not finish the tostadas-- they were that good. Meanwhile, I ate most of the beans and a little of the rice. It was definitely more of a dinner potion than a lunch-sized meal, and if I were going for lunch I'd either cut back by one tostada, or better yet skip the beans and rice. I'll be back, and can't wait to try some other stuff!

Wow! I was shocked at how good the Al Pastor meat is... It is marinated pork and is super tasty. I got it in a burrito and it was huge and delicious. Surprisingly not messy at all, in fact it was one of the nicest put together burrito I have ever had. Burrito came with rice (little under cooked, but edible) and two small salsas, one red, one green. They weren't amazing, kinda wish I got sour cream too/instead. Also got a side of guacamole and chips (because I had to get over the $10 delivery minimum) and holy cow! I'm never going to be able to finish this tub of guac! It's very fresh tasting and has a kick to it. Really good! And you get your money's worth for sure. My only complaint is the chips... They are really, really thick... Too thick. I realize they are homemade but they just are too much. I think it takes away from the taste and texture of the guac. I actually wish I had a bag of tortillas at home because it would be so much better. Overall, I agree with everyone else that it is pricey and can add up quick, but check out the pictures I posted... You get soooooooooooooooooo much food. It's kinda ridiculous and totally worth the money.

I have to admit that although I am not surprised by the 41/2 star rating of this place... I am particularly surprised by how many people have reviewed it. My new roommate and I are Mexican food lovers, so we thought let's Yelp the area and see what we can find. Tijuana Tacos had rave reviews so we decided to take a stroll and get some tacos. Upon arrival, I was surprised to see that it's exterior was a bit rundown and could totally turn people away. But let me tell you.. the food is so totally worth it! The chips and salsa (FRESH SALSA) was delectable. Just the right hint of salty/fresh combination. I ordered a taco salad which was amazingly delicious. It was a huge portion, with a heaping pile of Avocado. If anyone here is an avocado lover, you know that most places are pretty sparse with their avocado servings because it can get expensive to buy. My roommate had the pork burrito, which was soaked and marinated in some sort of juice. The service was super friendly and I rather enjoyed eating that entire taco salad! Don't let the cover of the book fool you, because this place will blow your mind! WAIT... and I just found out.. THEY DELIVER?!

Tacos were delicious. Price was right. A little too spicy but with sour cream it's just right. Their guacamole is great too!

I reallllyyyy wanted to like this place. I had to call twice to put in a delivery order. The first time they put me on hold and just forgot about me. I hung up after waiting for 6 minutes. We were determined to eat Mexican food so we called again. We were finally able to place our order. At that point it would of been nice if they let us know that they were busy and that the kitchen was behind. We waited an hour and 10 minutes before finally calling to check on our food. They said it was on the way. The delivery driver must of been walking or crawling because 20 minutes later he showed up. I don't blame him for the delay though. The Food: The guacamole was watery and a weird texture. It was fresh enough tasting but different than what I wanted. The chips were homemade, but half were crispy and half were stale and soggy. The pico de gallo was fine. We ordered the carnitas and the carne asada tacos. The meat was not dry and pretty flavorful. The green sauce was nice, but the red sauce was gross. The tortillas were fresh. Overall, I wouldn't return here unless I really wanted Mexican food on a Sunday when the other place is closed or if there is a hurricane/tornado/apocalypse and you have to order from here. Otherwise, stick to tortilleria sinola. It's less expensive, fresh, and just as good. Oh and you can be eating in less than an hour and a half which is generally a good thing. Don't offer delivery if you can't keep up with the demand. Just saying...

Ok, dudes. This is the deal. I'm a Texas girl and I miss Mexican food so much! One of the things I miss more than anything is tiny delicious tacos. I moved to B-more a little over a year ago and I haven't been able to find good tacos. But this place - this place here - has taken care of that problem. I ate the carnitas de puerco (you could sort of think of it as pulled pork) and lengua (beef tongue, don't let this deter you because it's AMAZING) tacos. The meat from both was so soft and tender and I left so incredibly full and happy... I'll be back! Also, don't expect linen covered tables or valet parking. This is true to the style of most Mexican taco joints - a modest hole in the wall with one person being the owner/cook/server. Love it!!!

  • Neal V.

Authentic with very good basic tastes. The tacos are well made with extreme care. Balance with fresh and cooked elements, along with bright tastes. The service was also very good. Would recommend their drinks as well Large sized drinks, so make sure you are ready for a lot of liquids (with the licuados). The size of the place is small, but very cozy, with the local population, whom are very relaxed. You will not leave here without feeling satisfied.

I love tortas! I get them in Mexico, but never really tried one here. The torta al pastor I got was excellent! I was sorry I only ordered two! Perfecto! I also got chips with guacamole. Best damn gaucamole I've had in years. Homemade chips too. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. ¡Muy delisioso! !Muy rapido servicio! Yo soy uno gringo felices!! ¡ Mucho Gracias'

The al pastor tacos are fantastic. Just like I remember them in Mexico. Great work. The guys who work here are friendly and accommodating. The food is always top notch Mexican. Definitely the best Mexican joint that I've found in Baltimore.

  • John E.

Delicious authentic Mexican food, prices aren't cheap, but portions are really big. I have had the spicy beef burrito and the steak platter, both were delicious. Would be five stars if the price were cheaper, food quality is definitely five star Mexican as the ingredients are fresh and delicious. For example, my burrito today when I got near the end of it I turned it over and most places a pool of grease would drip out, here not a single drop. Grab a table inside (there are only a couple) and the waiter will bring you chips and fresh green salsa while you wait for your food.

Al Pastor was our favorite taco. We got the carne asada tacos too and they were great. We just got the delivery and it came pretty quick. Delivery only goes within 2 miles though.

Love this place! Its been hard to find GREAT mexican/ hispanic food since i moved to Bmore (from Florida/ I'm spoiled). This place seems like it has high prices but the portions are huge so you get your moneys worth. I have had the tacos and enchiladas, and tostadas, alll great. Staff is friendly. The place is small so not great for groups, i think they have 4 tables. The decor is lacking too but that's not why I go there. The sauces are also not really that hot but they are flavorful. An all around solid spot for anyone looking for laid back dining.

As a Los Angeles authentic Mexican food snob, I give 5 stars for their carne asada tacos and horchata! Their carne asada tacos are the best I've ever tasted here in Maryland. Enough said. I've tried a few of their other dishes, but I'll say I am a religious carne asada taco fan! Definitely try the horchata..it comes in a GINORMOUS plastic container and enough to last for a good while. The only down fall is the price. Not used to paying $10 for 3 tacos, compared to the prices in LA. But, in this town where authentic Mexican food is pretty much non-existent, totally worth it! Don't overlook this small hole-in-the-wall joint, because their tacos will make you mouthgasm.

  • Y. B.

I come from the land of Mexican Food Paradise (San Diego) and for Mexican food this place is as good as Baltimore will get unfortunately... The food was good, but still a far cry from the amazing Mexican food I ate almost daily in SD. The prices are really steep for a hole in the wall Mexican Food place. Maybe the further away you are from Mexico the more expensive food gets??? If I am in the area and really need a Mexican Food fix, then I will get something from here. But I really wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

  • Mike M.

The street tacos here are on point! Everything else has ups and downs, but the tacos are legit. Service times vary, some orders are pretty quick, others took over an hour (delivery). For a Baltimore taco shop, I'd definitely give it a thumbs up!

Yes, it's another adventure of the Yelper and LoML, heh. No reason for going out this time - we do it on a whim, on occasion. We were looking through Yelp for cheap eats, and LoML found this place - he absolutely adores Mexican food. He also adores saving money. So when you put two and two together, you're a math whiz. :p Anyhow, we got there and we weren't even sure the place was open at first - it's a tiny little storefront with the entrance on Potomac Street. The "Open" sign in the window was off and it looked... well, pretty deserted. We looked at one another uneasily, but decided to try anyhow. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I can only say one thing - this place is an absolute dive. And when I say dive, I MEAN "hole in the wall", only I think this might qualify as a crack in the bricks. It's small, tiny, incredibly cramped - and yet, they have plenty of room for tables and chairs, a counter, and a HUGE display case full of Mexican desserts and ingredients. Oh, yeah. This is going to be good, I know it already. The experience got off to a great start with homemade chips and spicy salsa verde. And I do mean SPICY. Steam was coming out of my ears. LoML ordered the sopes de pollo loco (marinated chicken), and I ordered 2 chorizo tacos with Mexican rice (arroz). What came out exceeded our expectations and then some. The tacos were easily the most flavorful, melt-in-my-mouth deliciousness that I've ever had in my obviously sheltered lifetime. And the rice was so...freaking....delicious. Not salty, but not flavorless, either. LoML's sopes, from what little I tried, was also really good. The beans were the right consistency (not mushy at all!) and the chicken was incredible. I'm not at all a fan of Mexican food in general, but these dishes have gone a long way to change my mind. A LONG way. Best part about it? Two full meals (and I do mean full, we were stuffed) with drinks and dessert was all of 22 dollars. From what I hear about the prices at Tortilleria Sinaloa, we couldn't even get close as far as value is concerned. There's no "ambiance" here. There's no polished wood floors and fancy cocktail glasses, no perky little blonde waitresses, no fancy china or hipster music blaring out of carefully placed speakers. What you WILL find here is cheap tables and chairs, three sweaty Mexican guys working behind the counter and on the grill (and they were extremely sweet, by the way - very friendly and personable!), and a laptop tuned to Pandora, with a silent TV in the corner showing Telemundo or futbol games. This place reminds of me old Baltimore - and if you've read my reviews, you know that's exactly what we like and want. I didn't know that there were other locations. But this is the one we're going to come to when we want authentic, real Mexican food.

Oh man, nothing but good things to say here. My favorite tacos in the city hands down. We've tried them all; they were all amazing. You can get Al Pastor tacos at many locations in the city, but none as tasty as these. It's a dive and I wouldn't eat there, but grab your tacos to go and enjoy!

  • Michelle W.

I really do want to like this place, I really do since it's so close to me. But it's still a disappointment. I had the cemitas and it was pretty bland. It was soggy by the end and the avocados seemed like they were overly ripe.

Probably the best taqueria around the highlandtown/Patterson park area! Great flavor with just enough spice. The chorizo tacos were my favorite! But they were out of tamales.... The only bummer. The service was fast and a great convenient location; can't wait to go back!!

Best Mexican in Bmore! No ambiance what-so-ever, but fantastic and authentic Mexican food. Fast, friendly service with excellent food at good prices. Free chips and salsa too.

  • Yimei W.

I'm NOT a mexican food fan; but I've been here twice and it is damn GOOD. The carne asada "fix" mentioned in other reviews is for real. They season it a certain way and grill it perfectly. I've tried the chicken and it is unique with spices cooked in. One sopa/tostada is only $3 something and it is big enough as a meal. I go for the aguas, these exotic flavored drinks that are mildly sweet and so cool and refreshing on a hot day. These are a great deal at only $3 for a very large and wide cup. The owners are so friendly too. We were curious to try a sample of some agua flavors and didn't even know it would require them to make a batch especially for us to try, but the guy went ahead and did it, giving us two 8oz samples of two different flavors! What a treat. I've heard this is a hidden gem down at Patterson Park and I believe it :)

--Grilled chicken (in a burrito) was very tasty, but also VERY salty. --"Tripe had a weird texture. Was, like, oddly creamy. The lengua was not very flavorful." (the SO re: his tacos) Overall, it's hard to impress me because I'm a snooty California native

Amazing tostadas. I order from here weekly for lunch. They even deliver to the hospital I work at downtown! It helps to speak Spanish but not necessary. Also have great beans and rice and variety of meats! Tongue tacos are the best!

I moved to Baltimore from California two years ago for uni and was pretty much resigned to leaving all Mexican food behind. When my friend suggested grabbing tacos here (she is an avid Yelper), I must admit I was a bit skeptical. I came here with low expectations and left with the overall impression -- "Not bad". It's nothing to write home about, but it's probably some of the most decent Mexican food you'll find in Maryland. Rating Breakdown: 1/2 Stars for Taste - I got a lengua burrito and my friends got an assortment of tacos. The lengua was dry for my taste and could pretty much have passed for carne asada. The meats were well-seasoned and flavorful, but the texture was just lackluster. The burrito was pretty forgettable, but I really enjoyed the shredded cheese they use. I don't know what kind of cheese it was (maybe mozzarella?), but it wasn't melted in the burrito and really stood out in the mix of the flavors. Yummy. If you're not that into texture when it comes to food, this place will suffice. I would, however, highly recommend the rice. It was moist and delicious. 1/1 Stars for Value - It was $7.99 for a burrito platter (comes with rice) and about $3 for each taco. Decent prices by Maryland standards. The taco platter comes with some grilled veggies (cactus, beet, whole onion bulbs), as well as green and red salsa. You can also get some Mexican sodas for about $2. 1/1 for Customer Service: The man behind the counter was super chill, insisting that we pay after we'd eaten our meal. Though service was a bit slow, the waiters and waitresses were nice and we didn't mind the wait. Most importantly, no one made me feel guilty or out of place for being Asian/not being able to speak Spanish. This place is a little in the middle of nowhere for me and the food just isn't worth the trip. No bonus star because I probably wouldn't come again.

Thanks to Yelp, we discovered this hole in a wall gem. Six blocks from our house, it was easy to get to, even on a chilly night like last night. I couldn't tell from previous reviews if there was a seating area, so we walked in expecting to take out. Fortunately, there were several tables and chairs, enabling us to eat in! The menu was incredibly affordable ($2.75 for a grilled chicken taco!) and the staff took the time to explain to us what a tostada y sopas was, since neither of us had had one before. We asked for chips and salsa, which was quickly upgraded to guacamole, and it was damn fine guacamole indeed. It was fresh-made and had hints of lemon in it, which was a pleasant surprise. Even better were our meals, which were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. When we asked for more chips and guacamole, they made a fresh batch which was steaming hot and super yummy. All for $11 (including drinks). We will definitely be coming back to Tijuana for more delicious meals.

My friends and I all love this place! Everything I've had there has been great. The Al pastor tacos are obviously delicious but their sope's and tortas are also mouthwateringly good. The staff there are super friendly. Don't let the appearance fool you, this place is a diamond in the rough. The agua de horchatas are also HUGE if you order take-away. I live in the neighborhood and this is my go-to Mexican place.

Ok. Everyone raving about the Al Pastor taco persuaded me to cheat on my usual taquerias and call up Tijuana. AND HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, it was the right choice. I still love you, Tortillaria Sinaola and Taqueria el sabor del parque, but there's stiff competition. Why? Because I can get big fat juicy amazing pork pineapple tacos delivered to my house, now. It's just gorgeous to call somewhere and order food and not have them bitch about making a delivery to the north side of Patterson Park, or flat refuse to. My delivery options are limited to barfy big box pizza or ghetto Chinese (with 2-3 exceptions I've yelped about previously). What showed up was amazingly fresh, well-seasoned, complex, and delicious authentic Mexican food 25 minutes after I called. The driver didn't have change but that's negligible. I also ordered a chorizo burrito and was happy to see cojito cheese and avocado slices inside. It was absolutely delicious. I'm mortified at how often I've eaten at Chipotle over the years when I had this as an option and just never acted on my curiosity. Shame on me.

I had the burrito out of a need for large quantities of food but I had bits from the people I was eating with and everything was delicious. I need to come back to try some of the tacos and their other options. The food is extremely cheap for the price, and it seems like the place to go for people living nearby, which is always a good sign.

Actual rating 3.5 It's obviously no Tortilleria Sinaloa but it does offer a much larger menu. Hole-in-the-wall mexican place that seems authentic where the tacos and burritos are definitely pretty good. Takeout is best and they do deliver within 2 miles [I live 3 miles away!]. The Mango juice is 3$ and will serve a medium-sized village.

Definitely the best tacos I've had in Baltimore. I was a little nervous the first time I went in, as it looks like a total dive, but I've come to find that such places usually have the best food to offer. This was no exception. I've sampled a few of their tacos, but my test for any taqueria is their Al Pastor. On a 1-10 scale, I would give this place a solid 8.5 for theirs. My standard for a perfect 10 is a taqueria in northern Illinois that has recently closed down, and while Tijuana does not best them, it is as close as I have found. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to accommodate my, admittedly, American tastes with cheese and lettuce on the tacos. I'm not sure what kind of cheese it is that they use, but whatever it is, its fantastic! They give you your tacos along with some vegetables and cooked cactus, as well as a couple sauces which are rather tasty. I've sampled my friends tortas, sopes and a number of other items from their menu, and have yet to come across anything less than tasty. Their horchata is HUGE, like about 3/4 of a big gulp. So, yes, in short - this place is where you should order your tacos from. The end.

good food, kinda pricey for a small, not so fancy Mexican restaurant! I never travel to Baltimore so I was pleased to find something so close to the hospital with decent reviews and good food.

Tried 3 tacos (tongue, cesina, al pastor) and the sincrozaida apppetizer with a coca-cola (with real sugar - no corn syrup!). The tongue and al pastor were great - the cesina nothing to brag about. The red salsa there is the perfect topping. Also, the sincrozaida is like a ham and cheese quesadilla topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream. The highlight of the meal. Everything here was great and no one left disappointed. Would have given it 5 stars, but it get's very pricey very quickly.

So I'm writing this while still completely stuffed to the gills. My husband and I have driven past this place every day while parking since we live next door, but hadn't gone to check it out yet. Today I was Yelping for delivery options and noticed this was the place on the corner! With good reviews to boot! Very glad I stopped in, I ordered the chicken fajitas and my husband the chicken enchiladas. Each meal was 9.99 and came with rice and beans. I figured a fair price for a meal but then saw the cook packing them into the take out containers, the portions are huge; beyond 9.99 worth. I'm pregnant and can sure wolf down more than a normal adult male right now, and my husband can eat his fair share, but we both had to surrender 1/2 way through before we popped. The fajitas felt like they were missing just one extra "thing" to round them out, but very good nonetheless. The enchiladas were a huuuge hit, the mister liked them more than most he has tried and I wanted to finish off his dish I liked them that much more (Ill be getting the enchiladas next time for myself, for sure). Hes very much not a fan of mexican rice or beans but decided to try them instead and they changed his mind. We'll be going back, definitely. Friendly people, tasty food and very fair prices. Also the delivery radius is 2 miles, and min $10 order, for anyone wondering.

The Al Pastor tacos here are the best I've had in Baltimore. Since spending some time in Mexico about five years ago I've always been looking for that perfect Al Pastor taco. So that every authentic Mexican restaurant that I go to I always order a Al Pastor taco. Al pastor, for those few who don't know is marinated pork that is grilled and then served with pineapple. Most restaurants serve a dry red colored meat with not much flavor. This is the opposite. The meat is moist and flavorful, well seasoned with a hint of pineapple sweetness. It's so good that I have been back twice this week. The fact that they also deliver is a plus too. The prices are a little bit high as compared to everywhere else in Highlandtown, but it's definitely worth the tacos are enormous.

I give them an average of four stars - five stars for yummy food and friendly staff and three stars for cleanliness and price. Located near the northeast corner of Patterson Park, Tijuana's is a great place to pick up good Mexican food and eat outside in the park. They offer a wide variety of delicious options including tacos, tortas, cemitas, burritos, and tostadas. The also offer unique drinks such as horchata and aguas including: pepino (cucumber), sandia (watermelon) and fresa (strawberry) flavors. Expect to wait a while if you go with a large group or if you're going at a peak time. It's definitely worth the wait if your tummy will stand for it.

This place is great! Its nice to have a place that delivers good quality tacos to my house! I have tried most of the tacos but I think the beef tacos are my favorite- they come with grilled cactus and some fresh veggies and limes. Their salsa verde is awesome and their chips are crispy and delicious. Delivery has always been quick! Only four stars since it can be a small (really Only a small) problem sometimes ordering through a language barrier. But even with that said my order has always been correct and super tasty! Just have to be patient through the ordering process!

The place looks likes a dump, but don't be fooled. Their marinated pork tacos are amazing.

Good salsa...check, great chips...check, really nice people double check. So let me just say that even more than the food, which is good, the employees are really nice. I have some friends that live on that block with 2 kids. The employees know this, and when no spots were available have literally come out, given up there spot so the mom can park. That says a lot and makes we want to eat there more. I can't remember having anything bad. They make all their salsas and sauces on site. The tacos are great and you can get just about any meat combination you like. They also have pretty great fresh squeezed juices, which is odd but wonderful at the same time. Plus, you can get out of there for under $8 with tip. How great is that. I still prefer this location the best out of bunch.

WARNING FOR DELIVERY: It took TWO hours for them to deliver our food. By the end of the transaction, I had three cell phone numbers in my possession from various employees who redirected me when I called to confirm where my food was. Not to mention the 10 minutes on and off hold while they figured out my order. Seriously, it took them 10 minutes to take my order, confirm it, correct it a couple of times, and then discuss the 'difficulty' of my address which is a numbered street and has a directional attached to it. The food was cold, but I could tell it was pretty good quality. But seriously, get it together with the phone orders and delivery!

for some reason my roommate isn't into this place. as i tend to agree with him most of the time, i was hesitant to try tijuana tacos, but as it's basically across the street from me, i had to give it a shot. i definitely wasn't disappointed; apparently my roommate doesn't like things that are delicious. he mumbled something about too much cilantro when i pressed him, but maybe he was asleep at the time. and maybe he hates yumminess. anyway, i've had several items in different formats (for example, chorizo, tongue, carnitas, and carne asada in varying forms like tacos, burritos, and enchiladas). everything is simple, fresh, seasoned perfectly, and a great balance of flavors. my one complaint is regarding my love for mexican food with ALL the fixin's... i'm talking sour cream, guac, rice & beans, cheese, and some sort of sauce (mole, poblano, whatever) on pretty much everything. i realize that's not necessarily 100% authentically mexican, but it's what i in my americanity have become accustomed to. this place doesn't serve sides with everything; you have to make sure you order exactly what you want to come with it. prices are good, service is friendly and quick, food is excellent (except i wish they'd fry the corn tortillas for just a few seconds more for the tacos; they still had that funny bitter/dry/raw taste to them). bonus, i can walk over in my pj's and flip-flops and no one judges me. ole!

Now that's a good taco. The burritos, quesadillas, and platters are tasty as well. Having moved here from Texas this summer, I was afraid I might not find a good street taco. Tijuana satisfies the craving for carne asada deliciousness. Tacos may seem pricey on the menu but each taco is really two tacos.

Very very good Tacos. Much better than you get in Tijuana really. Served with sauted onions and cactus. And cheap too. Why was this review filtered?

Best lunch i've had in a long time! Authentic & awesome. Had the al pastor & carne asada. Loved the homemade chips also. I called to see if they deliver to Canton & they do! The man on the phone explained he spoke very little English but if we texted the address they would deliver. We opted to pick up as this place came highly recommended just because we were curious

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
