Every time I come into this Starbucks the staff makes me feel oh so special. The culture is so nice , diversity even within Starbucks ( employee , staff relations , customer experiences ) I love the outdoor seating and the fact that this location is so convenient to my employer. At this Starbucks location everyone is treated with respect and this is a great networking spot as well. Peak times you will have to use your patience ! But other than that I love this location.

Hot chocolate mocha Latte on a Saturday morning is gets my day going. Lines are never long. Staff is always pleasant. Nothing more to say.

I mean, it's Starbucks. Consistency is what they specialize in. When I want a decaf non-fat coffee frappuccino I know each time I'll be given the same delicious, overpriced sugar rush I've come to expect. The staff have never been anything but friendly. Sometimes their enthusiasm overwhelms me when I'm tired and would really just prefer to be sleeping. I can't say for sure but I think there may be more outlets here than in a typical starbucks. They're also big on the communal seating at this location. Oh, and the new pre-made salad things are actually pretty good.

This is a Starbucks. You've probably been to one of these, so there isn't much to say on that front. That being said, the staff here are SUPER friendly - they really seemed to enjoy their job and be quite amenable even with (what appeared to be) more difficult customers, which was awesome. I certainly couldn't maintain that sort of niceness throughout the day, so it's refreshing to see!

Almost every Starbucks I've ever been in has pretty much the same atmosphere, decor and menu. I stop by this one about 4 times a week- which is too many in my opinion because of how expensive everything is- but we are too lazy to make our own coffee at home so that's the price of convenience. This particular location has very friendly staff, but the drinks here can be inconsistent. Sometimes when I get a grande green tea latte- which is $3.95 (that's A LOT for something that can be consumed in 4 sips), the drink is only 3/4 full! I immediately know when I pick up the cup because it feels suspiciously light. I've never said anything because I'm still not sure how to say it without sounding like I'm accusing them of ripping me off... Other times, when I ask for a grande coffee in a venti cup so that my boyfriend can get lots of cream, they are very accommodating and seem to give more than the grande portion of coffee. So maybe this all balances out in the long run? Another indication of the friendly staff is that one time, we were short 9 cents and they let us off the hook even though their register would be short. I thought that was pretty nice of them and I made sure to come back that day to return what we owed. Overall, this Starbucks is very welcoming and has a lot of different coffee options. They prices are pretty steep so I would make sure that your cup is full before leaving!

Typical Starbucks, decent coffee, moderate price, and meh service. The cooffee is fine, but the service always leaves something to be desired. If you want an iced/specialty coffee, this is the place to go. If you want regular brews, I suggest Tribeca Roasters right across the street.

I only come here because it's close to where I live and the only way for me to get work done... the bathroom's always clean and there's never a line. The staff is super friendly and helpful, there's never a long wait for drinks either. I still wish the place was a bit bigger though. Convenient location to other establishments in the area.

(01/31/2014) A Starbucks much like any other. Location is convenient for those working/living downtown, located on a revitalized strip now inhabited by several national chains (Pot Belly, Chipotle). There's still some local places (University Mart, Thai Landing, Chopaan Kabob) to spend your money at, but apparently some people like not being surprised. Service can be harried during peak times. Best to walk here, no good parking.

Let me preface this by saying that I usually avoid Starbucks on principle, especially in a neighborhood with so many excellent, independent joints. But I make an exception here, because of the service. The snacks are familiar and overpriced, the coffee is the same as usual (though they seem to have a rotating specialty blend here), but the people who work at this location are efficient and friendly, and they make you feel at home. I wish every Starbucks was like this one in that regard.

I wish it was open later. It's open until 10pm which is always frustrating when I go to a show and they're already closed! For a location near two colleges and the cultural district you would think they would stay open an hour or two extra. But the coffee is good and the baristas are always friendly. Not sure why other reviewers would remark on the lack of parking... this IS on a street corner in downtown Baltimore!?

Not much is different From one Starbs to another. This one is just fine.

One tall hot tazo passion tea with splenda and one tall cold passion tea with splenda. That's all for today. Keeping my diabetic self on track. TAZO PASSION TEA IS THE BEST.

Of course, this location has all the high-quality beverage choices as any Starbucks. However, this location is very small and I've never been able to find a seat unless I get there right when it opens or go before they close. It's always crowded in there!

The baristas here have always been really friendly and helpful. They were especially so during Artscape when the place was absolutely jam-packed! Drinks are fine here and they've always gotten my order right, so I'm satisfied. It's pretty much like any other SB I've been to. Doesn't seem to be too crowded at the times I go, which is a good thing.

Pleasant, clean, and consistent. In contrast to the majority poorly behaved locations in Washington, D.C.

This Starbucks location is hit or miss to me depending on who the barista is for that day. Sometimes you will get your right drink and somedays, eh. Me personally I only get one beverage that is oretty simple so it is not hard to screw up. I go to this Starbucks only because it is close by my house. The baristas are usually friendly. It is pretty popular with the UB students because of the Wi-fi and the lines move pretty fast when they have both cash registers going . But its a Starbucks if you been to one you have been to them all.

I'm not rating this place based on the taste of the coffee - let's be serious, it's Starbucks and you've probably already developed an impression of the drinks. This location can get a little crowded at times, but it is a very convenient location for many people in the area. The staff are generally very nice and helpful, even when swamped. The majority of my orders here have gone through without a hitch, but every so often something gets mixed up or created poorly. My only other gripe is that as a local area resident I think this location closes a bit too early. Kudos to one Starbucks employee at this location who during an area power outage took it upon herself to help direct traffic at the intersection of Charles and Preston - helping to avoid a traffic mess.

Typical Starbucks. The employees are nice and the store is clean. Not much else to say. Convenient location for those catching a train or bus from Penn Station which is just 2 blocks north on Charles.

Literally worst iced coffee I have ever had. Thought Starbucks of all places would be able to handle making a semi-decent iced coffee, but it tasted like it was the last of the iced coffee from a dirty pitcher that had been made a week ago. Can't imagine how bad any of there other drinks on the menu are, but from now on I'm definitely going to Tribeca coffee shop right across the street. However, the barista helping me was very friendly and they have nice outdoor seating.

This store is like all the other starbucks around. Pretty good service at this Bucks. Since this one is really close to UB and is in Mt. Vernon you get a lot of people walking in. The lines are pretty fast and normally they have 1-2 people in the bar making drinks, and usually if its busy 2 cash registers running. The staff at this store is pretty friendly and fast.

Kinda small... Would function better if set up more like a bar. You can expect a solid rush between 7:30 and 8 am during the week. not much parking.
