Silver Star caters to the MTA bus drivers who have their bus depot across the street. It's a very small diner but it's old, has lots of character, and is locally owned. I had the eggs, potatoes, and steak. It cost $6.50 so my steak was actually Steak'Ums but very well seasoned with garlic salt and herbs. For my griddle fried potatoes, the top was nicely browned and crispy while the seasoning had a refreshing sage aroma. Eggs were scrambled and had american cheese melted in for the win. Blue-collar deliciousness. The menu isn't huge but I'll be back to try the other yummies- crab cakes, fried chicken, pancakes, etc.
