My family and I were such avid fans of this place when they had a Pakistani and Chinese buffet option. Dishes were delicious and numerous. There was plenty of room and temperature was well controlled. I enjoyed their traditional decor too. Sometimes I saw huge crowds there and sometimes only a few of the tables were occupied depending on the day and the time of the day. Once I saw a table of Pakistani/Indian folks eating only Chinese food and at the same time a few rows over a table of Chinese folks eating only Pakistani/Indian food. I thought that was cute. I really liked their dessert bar with fruits, banana custard, and rice and carrot puddings. They also had fresh naan bread. I saw a lot of people picking up carry out too. They have closed the Chinese buffet but still serve a Pakistani buffet. Their butter chicken is amazing. Food was a bit too spicy last time I was there about a month ago but I was glad to see the addition of gulab jamun (traditional sweets) to the dessert bar. I think I suggested that to the owner once. He is friendly, talkative and solicits feedback. At first he said it was their bread and butter and an expensive item they could not have in the buffet. So many other places have it though so looks like he changed his mind to attract more customers. The place is in a hidden away shopping plaza but there is plenty of parking. Find it and try it!

This place is amazing. We live in Florida and every year we travel to the northeast. We always make sure to stop and eat at Shahi Grill. The quality and variety of the food is outstanding. We have been to many Indian/Pakistani buffets in Florida, Texas and NY, and Shahi Grill is by far the best. Unlike some places were you only get small pieces of chicken/meat or bone, the quality and quantity of meat and boneless chicken they serve in the buffet is amazing. There are numerous dishes to sample, and they are all reasonably-spiced where you can tell the difference in taste. There are also different vegetarian dishes, salads and soups. The place is very clean, the service is excellent and you can't beat the $10 lunch buffet. I strongly recommend it

I had my event catered from them and the food was okay but they stole all the leftovers and took it with them despite being told not to do so. This has never happened during any events I have been a part of and I was appalled that they would do such a thing. This is preposterous, unethical and then they lied about it. I definitely have had better food elsewhere. It was because their food was Zabiha and having another event here that I had trusted them enough to not steal. Stay away.

I absolutely love the Shahi Grill's buffet offering, only been for the buffet so I can't comment on the dinner service. Considering the price of the buffet and the selection of food you get (which changes from time to time) I think it makes a great introduction to halal cuisine. Service has always been great not one time have I had complain anything. The décor leaves something to be desired but that's about my only complaint. If you're in the area don't hesitate to give them a try.

I guess we had fair warning when we came between 12 and 1 pm and there were no diners in the restaurant. We opted to try the buffet which is available at a flat rate for dining in or 8 dollars or so a pound for carry out. I did look at the full menu which seemed to have plenty of options, but I can't speak to it otherwise. The food offerings were varied, but nothing too special and it would be helpful if things were labeled in some way since even as a foodie, I wasn't entirely sure of all the offerings. Naan is also available for an additional fee. The staff seemed nice enough but the food itself was fairly mediocre, so I'd probably not be in a hurry to return. If I did, I'd probably just order an entrée off the menu.

And the kheer are my favorites. I would suggest you try their kabobs fresh... and the chicken karhai... buffet tends to be well... buffet... n i guess thats y somw ppl dont like this place much.

Compared to other similar places, this place can't be beat. We were going for dinner every week or so for a while. The food is amazing and there are lots of things to choose from. The menu occasionally changes which is nice. We always get to try new things. They bring out fresh, warm, oiled nan to the table when you arrive. We often ask for a whole pitcher of water for the table and the waitresses always bring one right out. We're generally one of the only couples/people in the restaurant which makes the service pretty good. Sometimes the girls get swamped but asking for a pitcher of water solves this problem. I tend to prefer buffets to regular restaurants for this type of food only because buffet food is usually not as spicy as an individual dish tends to be. And it is a great opportunity to try lots of things or eat whatever you're in the mood for. You can come in and make a to-go container of food, also. I think they weigh it and do it that way but am not positive because we never do this. We always sit and eat. I have, however, seen other patrons do this. My only complaint/bit of advice would be to call before hand to make sure they're open, especially on Sundays. We've gone before and the place was closed for an event. And occasionally they just won't have the buffet set up yet. The owners are really nice people and you see them in there regularly, occasionally with their families. I really enjoy this place.

This is a Pakistani restaurant that attempts to make traditional cuisines from South Asian. Unfortunately, the food quality is subpar at best and the service is pretty terrible. I ate the dinner buffet, which was overpriced considering the quality of the food. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants South Asian food.
