Fresh, fresh, fresh!! Ordered veggie egg foo young, veggie fried rice and fried dumplings. Real veggies used! Not frozen like most delivery places try to get away with. Real carrot slices, broccoli, bell peppers and fluffy egg throughout the rice. Dumplings were a bit doughy and heavy but overall fresh and delicious, easy online ordering and friendly service.

Best fried rice I ever tasted! Rich brown color, saucy taste and plain is offered as an option if you don't like meat and veggies in your rice. Pot-stickers were not oily and priced right for an 8 count portion. Sesame noodles look a bit on the messy side, looks like day old pasta. 10.00 min for delivery but 20 bucks can fill you for at least 2 days. Delivery was kind of a botch. He arrived after 30 mins which was great because i was informed a minimum of 45 mins. But... He wouldn't stay in one place when i tried tracking him down to pay him, he was a bit on the crazy side and he made quick delivery an issue. As long as the delivery issue is resolved i can say i will be a long term customer... if they can get the things i like right. It's the small things that mean the most sometimes.

We ordered carry-out tonight and were really impressed. We regularly order Chinese and found the food quality to be outstanding. The person who answered the call understood me well and took the order correctly. Within 20 minutes the order was ready for pickup. It was extremely well packaged for carry-out. All of the items were excellent. We ordered Hunan Chicken, Sesame Noodles and Sesame Chicken. Everything was great. We have never eaten in the restaurant and I must say the decor is limited. It may not be much to see but the food is really good and perhaps one of the best carry-out options in the area.

If you want classic American-style Chinese with extra flair and flavor, this is the place to go! Their meats are high quality, (In my opinion, an issue in most Chinese carry-outs), their veggies are always fresh, and their sauces are applied perfectly- not too much to overwhelm the dish, but just enough to give it a good flavor. And thier saucing is the big deal here- they don't use the standard industrial brown-glop so many carry-outs use; they tend to add black bean sauce to many dishes, adding a nice pungent zing, and you can taste the use of a Kikkoman-like, or Kikkoman itself!, type high-quality soy sauce; it's that right blend of sharp salt, slight smokiness, and slight zip of fermentation. You can eat in- the spot used to be a noodle-house years ago, and the booths still remain. But it is mainly a carry-out; all beverages are in a fridge display behind the counter, strictly canned. However-- as a regular, I have been able to get the cooks to share their green tea with me! It's been served in a plastic soup container, but it was hot tea, real leaf, and free. It was a very nice gesture, and a sign of care for their customers. Please note- the interior is not the cleanest; they clearly use the booths for employee breaks, (lots of Chinese newspapers about)- don't let that put you off- the food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and you CAN eat in- they will bring your food to you, albeit with disposable forks and such.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I've found in the Towson/Anneslie area. What makes it stand out is the food tastes and looks fresh and has terrific flavor. We like to get beef with broccoli and chicken with mixed vegetables--the veggies look fresh cut, is cooked to be crisp, not soggy. The chicken and beef are always tender and taste good. It never tastes like the food has been sitting in a pan all day. Not greasy or too salty. Really, the chef knows how to cook! Portion sizes and prices are good. They offer brown rice for an extra $1. Service is friendly and fast. I strongly recommend!

Up the road from my house and they deliver. Solid "American" Chinese food. Not going to wow you but also not going to disappoint. Open till 11 on weekdays I think so always my choice when I work late.

New to the area and with that in search of a new Chinese restaurant - one that has vegetarian options and peanut safe practices. After some searching we decided to give Mandarin Taste a go, and a quick talk with a manager before ordering set our minds at ease in regards to peanut policy. We ordered the General Tso's Tofu along with our "standard" eggplant with garlic sauce. Decided to go with carry-out and food was ready in about 20 minutes and everything was correct. The eggplant with garlic sauce is slightly different than what we are used to, but in a good way. Instead of being all eggplant, there were a variety of other vegetables in the dish including some fresh carrots and broccoli. The General Tso's Tofu was also amazing, great rich sauce with a hint of heat. The tofu was well cooked, firm on the outside with an almost caramelized crust and nice and soft on the outside - much better than the standard pre-cooked fried tofu tossed in sauce. This dish also came with some fresh broccoli, which seemed to be steamed and then added in. Only change I would make is to the portions, essentially we wound up with way too much rice and not enough sauce. Everything tasted amazing the night of, but the lack of sauce in the dishes resulted in some slightly dry leftovers, but nothing a little vegetable stock couldn't fix!

Lucky me, this is my local Chinese place! Fresh, not too greasy. Really good egg rolls. Lots of beef in the beef and broccoli, and the meat is always tender, not chewy. The interior decor leaves something to be desired, but who is going to eat at the restaurant anyway? A warning: I have had problems with order accuracy. So make sure to check your order when you pick it up. After getting used to their delish food, most other Chinese restaurants' food seems greasy and low quality.

We were visiting friends nearby and promised to arrive with Chinese food and picked this place out based on Yelp review. We don't understand how it got 4 stars..Schezuan tofu was totally bland and tasteless: neither hot or spicy. Szechuan stringbeans came in a brown blah gravy. Other dishes similarly tasteless. Soup passable - sort of low-end mall edible. I would have given this one star except the owner searched me out after I first posted this review and apologized, said they were crazy rushed on Xmas (the day we ordered), usually do much better, wanted me to come back and see what they can do, etc.. She found me based on the dishes I described, and called me on the cell phone number I had left. So they get a second star for being concerned, taking responsibility and trying. I'm not persuaded, but I guess, given the call, I am with Steven S, who posted a review earlier this month - I'd eat here again IF I was really hungry and nearby and wanted Chinese food. I might specify I wanted spicy and crisp too.

I am giving them 3 stars for the fast delivery and good customer service over the phone. I ordered the house special pan fried noodles which has a good taste and I also ordered spring rolls. Again, the food has a good taste. I was slightly disappointed when I opened my food; I saw the meat and veggies and assumed that the box was the fried noodles. To my surprise, it was a box of white rice. I only had a little bit of fried noodles underneath the meat and veggies. It was a good amount of chicken, pork and veggies...I literally had only 2 shrimp. The noodles were very scarce and because I was expecting a good amount of fried noodles and no rice I was disappointed. I did eat it because I was hungry and it had a good taste, but next time I won't order the pan fried noodles. Wish I could've given them more than 3 stars which I feel at this point is more than generous. Maybe next time I will just stick to my normal generals or orange chicken

The inside of the restaurant is very small, which is the only reason why this is not a five star rating. Solely based on the food, this place deserves a five star rating. The food is great, always fresh, the service is quick, the people are friendly, and offer good prices and many options.

I recently moved to Towson and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant ever since. After a couple of bad experiences I got to try Mandarin Taste. I had the fried dumplings, broccoli with garlic sauce, and sesame chicken. Everything was excellent and very fresh; the dumplings especially were the style I prefer and don't have the "mystery meat" taste that has plagued some of the other places I tried. I spent a dollar extra to get the white meat chicken and it was worth it, though I do wish I hadn't had to spend extra. The delivery minimum was $20, which seems a bit steep, but the food was worth it. It took about an hour to an hour and a half for the food to arrive, but considering that they are in Baltimore and they are in Towson it makes sense. I will definitely be ordering from Mandarin again when I have a craving for Chinese food!

I give it 3.5 because I was hungry. The quality of Chinese food had gone so low that average meals get scaled up. The human shrimp was okay. Broccoli under cooked, shrimp were great, sauce was pastry and won ton soup was great. I would eat here again if I was really hungry and nearby but that is it

Not the best Chinese I've ever had, but it's good enough that I would order here again. The portions are very big...big enough for at least two meals. They also offer a white meat option for the chicken entrees.

I placed an order for delivery on eat 24 and had it confirmed for delivery in 45 minutes. It showed up 1 hour and 40 minutes later. I guess they get busy on Friday evenings. The food was bland as if they ran out of sauces or spices and it was not fresh. Maybe it was sitting in the delivery car too long. To make a long story short...delivery took forever and the food was terrible. I will not order from here again.

Had the orange chicken and fried rice and my kids had the general tso's chicken with lo mein. Wish I knew about this place before. Food tasted fresh and it was not greasy. They also deliver pretty quickly. This is my new place for Chinese food.

Not sure how this place has 4 out of 5 stars. Second time ordering and both times were pretty bad. Tasteless and bland food both times...won't be ordering from again.

The food is good. However, the chow mein was very unusual. It was chicken, bean sprout, celery, and cabbage all cooked together in a clear sauce. It came with a package label chow mein noodles(very crispy crackers). This was very unusual. Most chow mein I've had consisted of noodles, protein, and vegetables. The noodles were cooked to the style of yakasoba noodles. If this is the type of chow mein you are used to I'd recommend it. If you are used to chow mein with noodles I would recommend that you went with a different dish.

Hit and miss. I really like their spring rolls. You can tell they are homeade.

My parents live in the area and have been ordering from here since it opened at least 10 years ago. It is definitely the best Chinese food around. I have since moved about 35 minutes away but have yet to find another Chinese place that even comes close to this. I think the previous owners sold it a few years ago so it's a little different but still good. My favorite things are pan fried noodles, cashew chicken, fried wontons, and wonton soup but everything is good.

First time I ordered from here was delicious, fresh and lots of veggies. This last time was pretty gross, three pieces of broccoli total and sauce was like motor oil. Took three bites and threw it out. Sounds like an off day given all the reviews.

I'm always searching for a new Chinese restaurant - one that has food that is fresh and seasoned well. I ordered the General Tso and Orange Chicken. The broccoli was good and not overcooked and I was glad they had brown rice as an option. However, the chicken......where was the chicken? The breading was all I could taste. The chicken was cut so then that the breading was all I could taste. Still searching for my "go-to" Chinese restaurant.

My son's favorite Chinese restaurant by far. We live in Hunt Valley but have to drive all the way down there for his shrimp lo mein. He says it has a smoky flavor and you can tell they actually stir fry it. He also says the kitchen is clean. I love the Hunan shrimp because it has fresh mushrooms and a lighter sauce than most.

I'm not sure why yelp says this place is closed. It most certainly is not. I order from them a few times a month. Love the food, love the people. The only hard part is trying to decide what to get. Every friend that I have introduced to this place agrees that it is the best Chinese. The seafood dishes are always fresh and it is a noticeable difference over other chinese carryout places.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
