I was craving some Indian food late Sunday evening and after looking at so many reviews and places that have delivery, I went with Jasa Kabob. I was a bit nervous to order since I have never had their food before but I went with the positive Yelp reviews and took the risk. I ordered via Foodler and noticed that they do not have Paneer Tikka Masala. I called the restaurant and asked them about it, the gentleman I spoke to informed me that they don't have that food online as an option. I was saddened by it since I was really craving it but then he told me that they can accommodate my request by just putting in comment "Change to Paneer". That's customer service right there! My order automatically comes with rice, salad, vegetable, and Naan! You usually have to pay separate for all these if you order somewhere else but it comes standard with them! The naan was huge, I was only able to eat 1/4 of it. The food was delicious! It hit the spot! This is going to be my new go to place instead of the places in Mount Vernon! From the customer service, the amount of food, the price, everything's a winner!

Jasa is an unassuming, hole-in-the-wall gem with great food and friendly people. The menu is simple, the food is solid, and the portions are extremely generous. Two of us shared chicken samosas (order of 2) and a platter of Achar Gosht (spicy lamb curry), which came with (an enormous) naan, rice, salad, green chutney and creamed spinach and potatoes. We even had leftovers! The chicken samosas are probably some of the best that I've had. The outside fried pastry was light, flaky, and not too oily, and the chicken curry filling was savory. The lamb was tender, creamy, spicy, and delicious. The remaining components of the platter were nothing out of the ordinary, but still paired well with our whole meal, which only cost us about $15! Jasa also has daily meat and veggie specials. We went on Saturday, and I'm looking forward to venturing to this spot to try out other daily specials!

I ordered the falafel wrap, ras masal, and lamb kabob (a la carte). The lamb kabob was delicious! I can't get over how tasty it was, but a little dry, but I think that's expected. The falafel wrap was very tightly wrapped and I felt it was very dry. I wish I had some tatziki sauce or something other than the green sauce with it. I'm curious to try their tikka masala or other more Indian dishes.

Very good for take out - quality food, fast, and friendly service. The food is really affordable. I had the chicken gyro which was extremely filling and very juicy. I liked the chickpeas and rice that came with my wrap - so flavorful and yummy! I'm not sure that it's the best middle eastern / Indian food I have ever had, but the price and portions are definitely worth it, and perfect for an early dinner in the square.

2/22/14 Straightforward inexpensive, tasty Indian/pakistani food. Jasa Kabob is little more than a carry out spot submersed in one of the busiest areas of Canton Square. However, their food quality makes it clear you don't need linen table clothes and waiters to satisfy your craving for kabobs, chicken tikka masala or gulab jamun. I ventured in hungry and eager to be wowed. I'd heard a great deal about the awesomeness of the place but I was determined to be the judge of that. Initially, I was taken aback by the sparse carryout feel of the place. However, I quickly warmed up to the long tables which facilitated more of a communal style eating experience (a nice change from the typical "i'm eating here but I'm not going to communicate when anyone around me" atmosphere of most eating establishments. Then there's the food....I used chicken tikka masala as my touchstone for all similar restaurant and it just so happened to be the special of the day. Tasty, but different than what I typically expect from tikka masala. I'm accustomed to the rich heavy creaminess of Akbar's versopm (my first foray into Pakistani food). There's was a great deal less heavy and creamy (not in a bad way, but in a way that made me less regretful for eating it). It also was more orange in color and sweeter. It was tasty but not my fav. The chicken, perfectly tender, juicy in the way Tikka should always be. The sauce was just not my pref. It came with a plethora of other tasty things...Chickpeas and naan where my choice. My partner in crime for the day had the Kabob special which was an expansive endeavor. IT smelled wonderful and she devoured it. After wandering all over the Canton square for the rest of the evening, memories of Jasa called to me when hunger reemerged. So, believe it or not...I ate there 2x in one day. IT IS JUST TO DARN EASY AND TASTY! This time I ordered food for home. I got a falafel wrap (amazing), baba ghanouj (comes with naan, yum), gulab juman (this didn't make it home, i had to have right then), and lamb kabob (amazingly yum, my husband destroyed). I will def continue to enjoy Jasa Kabob for it's easy, quickness although being submersed in Canton square make it a bit of a bother trek across town for. But I know it's there now...and i'm a happy person for that knowledge.

Ordered Jasa (pronounced "yasa") Kabob for pick up for lunch. I love that this place is locally owned because the owner was willing to let me pick up an order before the restaurant actually opened. Props for accommodating customers! Food items: -The chicken kabob wrap was tasty with juicy halal chicken accompanied by lettuce and onions wrapped in an amazing house made naan/pita. As everyone knows, a wrap in a pits is all about the pita...and this was perfection-thin crispy outside with a chewy pillowy center. Loved! -The hummus was creamy goodness and comes with a generous side of naan -Falafel wrap was not that great...pretty average for falafel. Would stick with the chicken wrap. -The babaganoush was really nothing special, but not bad. Probably would not order it again, but don't regret ordering it! Will definitely be returning for the naan and chicken kabob!

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasant experience of having a free dinner at Johns Hopkins medical school. Everything I tried (biryani, chicken kebab, beef kebab, saag paneer, and chicken karhai) was so fresh and tasty, and that is quite commendable, given that food was made for over 100 people. The biryani was on the spicy side, and naan was dryish, but these are minor complaints. After this meal, I felt so calm and happy. I decided to ask the organizers where it was from. They said "Jasa Kebab". At first, I thought they said "just a kebab". Then when they repeated, I understood it as "Jalsa Kebab". Finally, Yelp told me It's Jasa. I still don't know what Jasa even means, but now that I at least have the right name, I'll definitely try to come in.

Delicious and satisfying. A hidden gem in the Canton square that outshines all proximal competitors by its commitment to authentic flavors with outrageously fair prices. The owners and employees are genial and genuinely want you to enjoy their food and they gladly deliver on that promise. Get their daily specials (I'd highly recommend their Achar gosht/lamb) for the best lunch and dinner option. As a lover of middle eastern to Indian cuisine, I can say that this place has truly been a favorite of mine in Baltimore. Great place and arguably a requisite visit for anyone in the area in need of an Indian fix.

I always thought that The Kebab house in Arlington near Ronald Reagan Airport is the best place to get Pakistani Spicy food in DMV area but since I have eaten Goat and Lamb Biryani and Goat Karahi of Jasa kebab I have changed my view n Jasa kebab has gotten no 1 place in. DMV area

This place is right on Canton Square and it's a great place to go for a fast, cheap and good eat. It's basically like a good kabob place. I came here recently again and I had to wait a full 20 minutes for my food. I would definitely call in for an order as everyone else seemed to do that and pick up the food. They give you A LOT of tikka masala although the chicken pieces in the tikka masala can be really dry. The regular chicken, beef, and lamb kabob was just OK. They made fresh naan so that's good. The sides are decent too- spinach and potatoes, chickpeas, lentil and some other stuff.

I love this place. Whether it's delivery or dine in they are always fast and delicious. They have large portions and are reasonably priced. Their hummus is amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great chicken tikka masala and an extensive menu (vegetarian-friendly). The place is a bit small but there's plenty of nice seating outside in the nearby park if the weather is nice.

Got takeout here with a friend last night. I ordered the beef kabob with a side of chickpeas. The beef was a little on the drier side, but full of great flavors and spice! The rice was also seasoned very well and was delicious on its own. Chickpeas were delicious and the sauce went perfectly with the naan (which is ginormous!!!). And so much food--it was definitely enough for 2-3 meals for me.

This is my go to for South Asian food in the area. The food is very good, customer service is top notch, and the value is great. I recommend the daily meat and veggie specials. That is what I get 95% of the time. Some dishes are spicy (I like spicy) but just ask and Jay will accommodate to whatever heat level you want. I only wish the potatoes were cut smaller. Oh yeah, seating is limited, but it is very casual and it is BYOB!! A liquor store is steps away in the square.

  • Kia D.

The beef kabob is very dry and hard, my plastic knife just broke in half trying to cut thru it. The food came out so hot I had to wait almost 20 minutes before it was edible. I would not recommend it on a hot summer day since the "non-spicy" dishes are still spicy

I'm torn between a 3 or 4 star review. It's nice to have this type of place and food within walking distance. And I'd go back for certain. But now that I think back to when we had it carry out, I feel a flat 3 best fits the bill. Neither my partner's rice dish nor my gyro were anything to write home about, and the prices are pretty much average and fair enough. The service was alright, and the food prepared quickly as we waited in the chilly, small seating area-- the very reason we opted for carry out! So, I'd rate it a solid option if in the mood for kaboby food. Just nothing special.

  • Michael M.

Quite pleased with the food. I've ordered delivery from them 3 times and it's always fast and always exactly prepared the way I ask. Customer service is great. The food makes me continue to come back though. I love everything on the menu but their sides are what does it! Lentils in curry are great and I love their naan both garlic and queema naan (lamb filled) it's amazing!! If you're hungry this is the place to come!!!

    (5)
  • Rosa L.

Take out is Awesome, I love their chicken masala it's very tasty. Comes with two sides and naan. Their nan is alright, which is why it's not 5 stars. It seems to be missing flavor.... I don't know I tried both the garlic and regular and they just are doughy and plain.

So impressed with the food here. Best tikki masala. I recommend this carry-out spot to anyone who appreciates great food. Not an impressive atmosphere but who cares when the food so this good. Not me! :-P

I never been to this place before. Really cute place in Caton on O'Donnell St. Really loved the beef kabob. The rice was not my favorite personally. The spinach and potatoes is really good as well. If you are not a fan of spicy food you may not want to come here. I love spicy food so I was in the zone. I would come back here again

According to my Pakastani friend, Jasa Kabob is closer to Pakastani than Indian. And according to him, Pakastani's "specialize in MEAT" rather than the plethora of veggie options found at many indian restaurants. Therefore Jasa Kabob = Pakastani = delicious MEAT. This is my new go to for South Asian (no Indian food). As with most south asian places, the spice is key and Jasa Kabob definitely delivers there. However what sets Jasa apart is the quality of their meats. Kabobs (chicken, lamb and BEEF): these are the most juicy and flavorful I've ever had. I usually avoid this at most indian places because of high likelihood of dryness, but Jasa makes their meets consistently tender and juicy, never fail. Biryani: omg so good. rice cooked perfectly, meats inside (lamb or chicken) absorbs all the flavors and retain its moistness. Comes with good sized serving of yogurt sauce that rich and tangy with various light and refreshing veggies inside. Does a great job at cutting the spiciness of the biryani. OVERALL: i will be back for more. AND forgot to mention, the portions are HUGE. no need buffet here.

I've eaten here well over 50 times. The food is absolutely delicious! The only things I don't care too much for are the felafel and the beef seekh- Neither of which are bad, just not as big of stars as all of their other dishes. I often get a Chicken Tikka wrap with lettuce, tomato, onion... but all of their chicken and lamb entrees are killer- Esp when you get some Aloo Palak (Spinach and potatoes). The owner is a really awesome guy too- If you become a regular you will find yourself chatting with him often.

This my home away from home! I seriously ADORE this place. I'm like seriously worried that I might have to move away one day and not have this place in walking distance from me!!! The people are amazing and the location is great. The food is seriously one of the best in the car and their naan saved my life!

This is always a quick and easy food decision, however I have yet to really have a full fulling experience. I have ordered the Felafel sand which the two times I have visited, each time it has been a solid C. The vegetables were not fresh, and the pita bread used was too thick to actually enjoy the felafel and was not fresh.

Casual little spot with semi open kitchen. Always friendly and always good, Sam is the best! Samosa chaat is awesome although I'm not sure it's listed on the menu. Vegetarian options are great.

We were kinda reluctant at first to try this place, but we did anyway, and we do not regret it at all! The food is truly delicious. I got the chicken lamb combo, the meat was very tender and so was chickpea side. The naan were to die for. Good location, although it would be nice to have a larger sitting area.

Soooo goooood... This review is technically 4.5 stars (it's only slightly less amazing than the best kabob I've ever had and lacked roasted tomatoes) but we're gunna go the "5" route rather than the "4" due to the outstanding service... We popped in based on the Yelpers' approval of this joint and really just wanted to see what it was all about... This is an open-late, super delicious, super clean and comfortable kabob place. Oftentimes your open-late options are a bit seedy or greasy or weird, but this place keeps it classy. On top of good food and atmosphere you have very fair prices... In fact I think they could charge more than they do, but I like the numbers as they are, so please don't pass that on to the owners... :) As for the service, John took our order, was warm and patient (we rattled back and forth between a few options before deciding) and have us a short wait time of 10mins... 10mins later we come back and they surprise us with a FREE small serving of chicken tikka masala (because the chef wanted us to see how we liked it, it's one of his specialities)... Dudes, that tikka was baller and was big enough to be a hearty lunch. They already had me on the food that I'd ordered, but that was just outright good business. Kudos, John, Chef, and the rest of y'all! Awesome first experience, will DEFINITELY be back soon.

This review is on catering** The company ordered catering for lunch today so I got to sample the beef, chicken, rice, spinach and potatoes. I really liked the meats from here, it was flavored just right and the right tenderness. The spinach however was way too salty. The potatoes were okay. Rice was so and so, I'm not a huge fan of indian rice. But overall, I liked the meat dishes the best, they weren't too greasy and it was quite flavorful. The naan was eh, it tasted like pita bread?

  • Cici H.

This place must be good for the meat entrees because my falafel platter was, meh. Honestly, the falafel was probably my least favorite ever in life. The naan was chewy, the hummus had a thin consistancy. The baba ghanoush and pickled cabbage were decent. Mannnnn!!!! I was so craving some good falafel. On a good note, the folks working were friendly. Food....... Dis-a-ppointed. -_-

Solid Indian food. I can only speak for the vegetarian options and my faves are Daal Makhani and Saag Panner. I was not impressed with the Somosas but the Naan was absolutely great. It is definitely a take out place and the prices are reasonable given the location.

This place is just great. The lamb is the first an only lamb that has tasted good to me. The owner should get a second job teaching good manners. He is the most polite person ever. They work hard at creating a great product at a very reasonable price.

Great neighborhood place. Food and service is always excellent. I always get the chicken Tikka masala and my husband gets whatever curry is on special. His favorite is the sunday meatballs. Naan is fresh and delicious and the meat stuffed Naan is very tasty. Highly recommend!

My first 5 star review! This place is AMAZING. You absolutely cannot go wrong. I really wish I could tell you what to try, but I've only ordered two things even though I've been there at least 10 times. The chicken seekh kabob and the falafel... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Just go and see for yourself.

  • Amy S.

HOLY FREAKING HELL. This place looks like a hole in the wall, but their food is phenomenal! I got the tandoori chicken, enough food for two people easily, and for just under $10. The naan was soft and delicious, and the chicken was spiced just right. Even the rice would have been tasty enough to eat by itself.

What an fantastic all-around experience! My boyfriend and I moved less than a block from Jasa Kabob two days ago. When we were moving, my boyfriend kept asking me what that amazing smell was. Turns out it was Jasa Kabob. I read all of reviews and knew I had to try it out. I chose one of the daily specials and baklava. Delicious! Spicy, just the way I like it. Huge portions, I was sad I couldn't finish it all but am excited to eat leftovers tomorrow. Jay, the owner, was very sweet. When I told him this was my first visit and that I just moved down the street, he quickly introduced himself, gave me some insight on their "signature dishes", and told me about upcoming special events. I am already planning a return on Sunday. I think this may become a regular thing. Try it out. You will NOT be disappointed!

Really delicious, fresh and well cooked food. Even with delivery, the meat was tender and hot. We got multiple types of kebabs, chana masala and spinach with potatoes. The lamb was some of the best I've had in kebab form. Chana masala was delicious. This place can do spice, so be careful ordering it too spicy!!! We will be back for more for sure.

The owner is one of the most rude people I have ever met even though he is from my city back home. The arrogance is unbelievable. The first time I called and asked if the food was fresh and he obviously got irritated. That's a legitimate question to ask. Anyways, I tried his Karahi which he assured me rivals that of Kabab n Karahi in silver spring which is my benchmark for authentic and tasty Pakistani food in the DC/MD/VA area. It was horrible- too oily. Dude, I am not a chef and I can make better Karahi than yours. The rest of the menu is too oily and unhealthy. His hubris cannot be justified at all based on his cooking. This is the kind of oily and unhealthy food that puts one in early graves. There are so many decent options for Pakistani food in Baltimore/DC - shaheen in catonsville, kabab n Karahi in silver spring to name a few.

Love Jasa Kabob! This is our go to place for delivery. The delivery here is super fast! You can also order online or using the Eat24 app, which is awesome because I don't like talking on the phone. Plus one for being super easy. The food here is delicious and the portions are enormous! My favorites are the falafel salad, chicken kabob platter, and the chana masala platter. The chickpeas here are so, so good! If you like spicy chana masala, you definitely don't want to skip out on the chickpeas here. The naan is also tasty. It's not quite like other naan I've tried, but it's fresh and chewy. We prefer to order delivery from here, since it's just so convenient! But I've had good experiences with the service and food when eating at the restaurant too.

If I were to have one last takeout meal before I died, this would probably be it. I crave Jasa Kabob whenever I'm at work, hungry, thinking about food. I crave Jasa Kabob when I drive by Canton Square. Their naan bread is so freakin puffy and doughy. Probably my favorite naan in the city. Meat entrees are delicious, especially their lamb chops, or the lamb/beef/chicken kabob combo. Veg options are aplenty, with my favs being their eggplant, chickpeas, and spinach + potatoes. Oh, so you're on the low-carb diet? Well, they have most of their meat things in salad form, too. Biryani is probably enough food for two meals or two people. Or one hungry person. Did I mention they're on my speed dial?

Great Food & Great Service!! Portions are huge :D love the middle eastern options right here in canton :) Delivery is exceptional as well.

I tried this place out a few years ago, and the food was great. Working in Fell's Point, you tend to forget that a place in Canton is only one mile away, so you order from establishments within town. Yesterday, GrubHub.com reminded me this place was still around, and I'm glad it did. The food was great! The prices were reasonable, and delivery was super fast, even in yesterday's torrential downpour.

I love this place!!! I use to travel out of the city to Maiwand Kabob, which is a huge Afghani Kabob chain. Jasa has the best Chicken Kabob and Beef Kofta. I'm a bit uncertain of the nationality of the owners. The food is somewhat similar to Afghan food, but there are certain things on the menu that are Indian, which makes me think they're Pakistani. I am rusty in Arabic, which I am afraid to speak to the owners of this restaurant. If they aren't Arabic, then they speak Urdu. Nonetheless the food is crazy good and at the fraction of cost to Maiwand Kabob. A++++ to the owners.

Discovered Jasa today for lunch & my only criticism is that it's not closer to FedHill! ;) I got the lamb kabob, my friend got the chicken curry, and random people next to us offered to let us try their chicken tikka masala. Everything was tender, flavorful and *really* good! The naan was piping hot and fresh, and the sauce from the Tikka Masala was amazing with it! I also got the Cauliflower & Potato dish, which was delish. Portions are huge - I took at least half of my plate home for dinner. Ok - I lied, I do have another criticism - the eat-in situation is super awkward. With kind of an L-shaped booth setup, if people are sitting on the ends, you have to make them get up so you can scooch past them to sit on the booth side, and again when you want to leave - awwwwkward.

One of my husband's favorite lunch spots. Kind of too spicy for me, but the spicier the better where the husband is concerned. We brought some friends here this week and they loved it, although it was pretty clear they were putting on their 'strong' faces after tasting the spice!

FOOD: I ordered the beef tikka salad, the daal, and the naan. I was very impressed at the perfectly seasoned beef. I hate salty and spicy foods. The meat at Jasa was surprisingly flavorful and tender without being overwhelming. It is also very hard for me to find quality halal meals and so finding this place made me very happy. The meat to salad ratio was notably awesome. Often times you order a salad/protein combo and there is one piece of protein. There was honestly a very good portion of beef, as there should be, considering you are paying as much for a salad as a beef entree. The salad had iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I liked the fact that the salad was well chopped because I hate having to cut down large lettuce leaves. The daal was too spicy for me, but again I am very spice averse and my friend liked hers a lot. The naan was very good in that it was NOT greasy!! SERVICE: I ordered from grubhub.com . The meal came exactly at the time stated, which was about an hour after I placed my order. REORDER: Absolutely. I am excited to try other options on the menu. RECOMMEND: Yes.

My goto delivery food restaurant for Patterson Park area. Portions are large so I make two meals out of a dinner order. I have 5-6 different entrees and enjoyed each dish. Delivery usually takes 30-45 minutes for a couple meals with desserts.

WAY TOO SPICY!!! And kind of pricy for a plate of rice with few pieces of meat. When I made an order, I specifically asked for not a very spicy meal. When the food arrived I couldn't even eat it. My face was burning. The man on the phone wouldn't suggest anything less spicy and when I called about my concern he made it my fault that I am not familiar with Pakistani food. Instead of apologizing to a customer, even if he's not sorry to show good customer service skills, which he obviously is lacking, he decided to BLAME ME, yes! Not ordering from them again!

Another review for Jasa because they are just SO AMAZING. Disclaimer - I did order the same thing again, the Saturday special is spicy lamb... Heads up: If you're ordering in on the weekend, this place partners with Eat24 (which sends you out a discount code every weekend). Easy way to save. I also ordered the Baklava this time and it was delicious!

Exceeded my expectations and then some! Went on a friday night. I was out with friends at a bar and literally was so hungry I had to roam the square to look for food. It was pretty much this or pizza and I thought do something different. I ordered the chicken kabab wrap...OMG it was SO delicious! I was so impressed! And will definitely come back when I'm in the neighborhood! The lamb is EXCELLENT as well. Another lonely eater sat next to me and felt so inclined to share. What a gem!

I ordered food here for the first time, and all I can say is meh. My naan was soggy, they gave me dry tabbouleh salad (no lemon juice or olive oil), and the veggie samosa tasted like one from a package in the freezer section. My food arrived COLD, don't waste your money!

Its a hole in the wall, but the food is really good. A little too spicy for me, but then I have a very low tolerance for pepper. Very large portions too. I had the chicken biryani and a veggie side - really tasty and enough for both me and my wife.

What a surprise on how good this place was! I got the falafel platter, asked them to make it vegan, so they only had to cut out one of the sauces... for 9.50, I was handed two plates of food (one was just a fresh naan) and I tore into it. I really tried to finish it all, but the falafel, baba ghannouj, hummus, tabouli, and whatever the cabbage thing is called... all so much - and I'm a big guy! I can't wait to come back, but I have no idea where it is in the city haha... my friend who drives like a maniac drove me here.

Yum! I was watching the first episode of 'Flight of the Conchords' where Gemaine mentions buying a girl a "kebab" and a kabob craving was aroused in me. Not knowing the Baltimore area too well (since I'm here on business), I did a quick yelp search and this was the first listing. I called in an order for the lamb, beef, and chicken combo with the cauliflower and potatoes (instead of chickpeas) and was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes. I headed over and found street parking right in front of the restaurant. This place is located on the nice stretch of bars/restaurants on O'Donnell Street right across from the park. I asked for a container of hot sauce and they wrapped up my order for me and I brought it back to my hotel. The naan was wrapped in foil and I could feel that it was warm. The first few bites were soft and delicious but once it cooled down, it turned rubbery and chewy in some spots and crunchy and chip-like in others. The rice was seasoned well and I thought it was delicious. The chicken was seasoned tandoori style, full of flavor and tender. The beef and lamb were seasoned similarly but the lamb was so much more tender. The cut of beef that was used was a bit tough and chewy. I loved that you could see the holes in the meat where it had been skewered. The cauliflower and potatoes were really good, lots of flavor and spice, and I loved the mint chutney and the hot sauce gave my meal a nice kick. There was no white sauce on my food (as mentioned in the menu) which was disappointing, but overall, I enjoyed my meal. The portions were pretty generous for the price too - I ate about half for dinner and the rest for lunch the next day.

This place is delicious:)) my favorite is the spicy lamb curry with a side of spinach potatoes! A huge portion for a great price:) tzatiki is delicious! Fresh and homemade!! I was weary when this place first opened on the square, but am so glad it's there now!

always wanted to try this place. got my kabob fix on a rainy day by ordering grubhub from jasa so can't speak about the actual restaurant or ambience. delivery though was relatively prompt. we got 2 orders of their popular chicken kabob. it's a lot of food for $10! the chicken meat was grilled without burning and is tender, so perhaps slightly on the dry side. it comes with this spicy green sauce that is hot hot. I got the veggie of the day which was roasted eggplant. the naan is a lot thicker than what you would expect from typical Indian naan. was a little bummed they forgot(?) to include the salad dressing. all in all, a solid meal for $10 with prompt delivery!

I love Jasa Kabob! My boyfriend and I live 2 blocks away and order there when we want something quick and relatively healthy. I've had the Falafel Wrap, Chicken Kabob Wrap, but my go-to is the Chicken Kabob. The chicken is deliciously seasoned, as is the rice, and my favorite side is the chick peas. The portions are huge -- I usually eat half for dinner and have the leftovers for lunch the next day.

My wife and I visited Jasa Kabob for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. We met Jay the owner and he was friendly and helpful we had the veggie biryani, chicken tika and baba ganoush with naan. Every thing was spiced just right and huge portions. We will be back to try the rest of the menu for sure!

  • Lizzie L.

Get the Sunday special: Chicken Tikka Masala, dirty rice, chick peas, Naan and a little salad $10. Can not beat this! Not my favorite Chicken Tikka Masla, it is a bit more spicy and the sauce is less creamy than my favorites but its still great, esp for the deal!

I ordered my meal for delivery and it arrived within the estimated time. The food was hot and well packed. It smelled great. I tore right in to the Chicken & Beef combo which was delicious. I also had some Lamb. All the meat was cooked and seasoned beautifully. I will definitely order from Jasa again.

Jasa Kabob is great food late night AND during the day, which is rare! The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the food tastes great! Good portion sizes too, I normally have it for two meals. I always get the tandoori chicken. I used to go at least once a week when I lived walking distance, I definitely miss it! P.S. its BYOB

My fiance and I have gotten delivery from Jasa Kabob at least three times now. It's always super fast! Most of the food has been a little different than I've expected, but still really tasty! We usually get the beef seekh kabob platter and the daily meat special with the veggie special for our side. The only thing I've ordered from this place and disliked is the baba ganouj, which was bitter (I think they didn't drain the liquid from the eggplant before pureeing it). The naan isn't anything to write home about, but it's decent. I might take off a star for that, but I'm impressed enough with the service and the rest of the food that

Jasa Kabob is my go-to place in the city when I'm craving Indian food. I've mostly used the delivery service but have done carry-out once before. They usually say the food will be delivered in 45 minutes but more often than not it has arrived between 20-30 mins! I have only ordered 3-4 different items on the menu so I haven't branched out of my comfort zone completely. But the food that I do order is always delicious! My favorite is the boneless chicken curry which is the Monday special. The chicken is so tender and yummy! One night, I called and asked if they could still do the curry even though it wasn't a Monday, and they graciously obliged. So it's worth asking if you are craving a daily special. I also really enjoy the beef samosas, chicken beryani and garlic naan. I hope this place contiunes with their great customer service and delicious food for years to come!

Went here with my cousin last week... Uh oh.. I better start doing my reviews sooner than later because I forgot the name of my dish... it was a lamb wrap, I know that much. The first thing I noticed is no a/c on a 90+ afternoon. -1 star The second thing I noticed is that I ordered a side of naan for my cousin & me, since we were told our wraps would take several minutes and we received one "round" of naan for 1.50... Hmm I've gotten at least twice that amount at more than one other place for the same price, so I felt a little gypped. -1 star Otherwise I liked it and would go back again. The wrap was tasty and filling. Lots of spices and full flavor.

For canton, excellent south Asian food. The salad could be a bit more non ice bergy. Service is great...what you would expect for the price/hole in the wall. I've come here many times on a lazy evening.

Delicious, fresh middle-eastern food. Jasa Kabob provides a great healthy alternative for a quick lunch or delivery for a night in. Anything with lamb is a surefire hit. My favorite is the lamb curry (weekly special?). They marinade and cook the meat perfectly... so tender a plastic knife cuts it with ease. Another favorite is the chicken kabob wrap: substitute okra for the rice for an even healthier option. Their homemade naan dipped in their spicy green house sauce is addictive, and usually included with every entree. Finally, one of the few high calorie items on the menu also happens to be one of the tastiest.... vegetable or meat samosas. The exterior is fried to a crisp and the filling is divinely spiced. It's well worth the extra 20 minutes on the elliptical to crown your order with these dumplings of awesomeness.

Got a falafel wrap and an order of baklava for dessert for just under $10. Wrap is big enough to split into two meals. Baklava was served hot, and was totally sinful. The falafel wrap had good flavor, but was served only lukewarm. For this, they lose one star. The guy at the counter got the job done, but was not friendly. For this, they lose another star. Overall, decent place. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes.

Just got a lunchtime delivery from here. It was delivered much quicker than I expected (5 minutes!- I work just a couple blocks away) and was delicious. Chicken Curry was spicy, beef samosa was delicious, nann is fluffier than i am used to , but taht was not a bad thing. Very Very good, and reasonably priced for the huge portions. G

First off the food is not very good. I was going there because I had a restaurant.com certificate from 8/11 for $25 off. The employee John M. said he could not accept it despite the fact that the restaurant signed up to participate in the program. Not one other customer was in the restaurant. Very bad business practice!

Love Jasa Kabob. Best chicken kabob in Baltimore. You have to get it with spinach potato. So yummy. Friendly staff too. Only negative is its in the canton square which makes it hard to park and carryout but guess what they deliver!!!!

I'm hooked! One of the best - not overly saucy, but genuinely good seasoned Indian/Middle Eastern food. I debated whether or not I should I order from Jasa Kabob for a luncheon for my job, because someone mentioned that they were late for a delivery. However, I love to "Yelp" and I read some Yelp reviews, so I thought - go for it and I'm glad I did. It turned out great. Not only were they on time, so there was no need for me to stress but it was great food for the costs. Food: I ordered the Beef & Chicken Wrap Platter Served with Basmati rice and Veggies (I selected Chana Masala, as my veggie). I was also able to substitute some of my wraps for the vegetarian option and get the veggie Falafel wraps, which I did. I also ordered an individual platter of Chicken Curry with the Veggie of the Day. Everyone loved it! The lunch was a few days ago and people are still singing praises to me for ordering the food from Jasa Kabob. I thought there would be leftovers, but - no chance. It was devoured! The Chicken Curry and veggies was delicious. The veggies were mixed (cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, etc.) and seasoned with curry and other spices - YUMMY! I would definitely order from there again and visit the restaurant. I'm actually thinking about ordering next week's lunch from them, but trying the Chicken Tikka Masala or the Chicken Kabobs. This is a must try spot in Baltimore!

OMG... SO MUCH FOOD! Came here after the gym one day and looking for some take out. It was pretty late for dinner (probably around 8:30 pm) and the place still had pretty steady business so that is a good sign! I ordered chicken kabob and chicken + beef kabob platters. It came with a salad, naan bread, rice, and a vegetable side for about $10. The meat was juicy, rice was flavorful, and salad was fresh. I was dreading the vegetable sides at first because I saw them sitting in the buffet line and it looked like it had been there for a while. I tried the chick peas and spinach + potatoes, both were very flavorful as well. I guess with these kinds of food, having them sit out soaks in the flavor! The only downside is that I was quoted 15 minutes from ordering for my meal to be ready, and ended up actually waiting about 45 minutes. I would definitely come back, but will most likely call ahead due to the wait. Their menu also had other meats (lamb, salmon) and various Indian dishes. Can't wait to try more!

YUMMY FOOD, BEST FOR CARRY-OUT! DECOR: Jasa Kabob is not a suitable place to sit and eat. It's a small place that can fit 8-10 people. The interior and decor is not at all appealing and appears dirty. (But I mean, only the appearance). This could be a bit misleading but the food is very hygienic and freshly made. Jasa Kabob is best for carry-out FOOD: I have had Chicken Kabob, Lamb Karahi, Chicken Biryani (Entree) and Veg Samosa (Appetizer). The entrees are served with spiced rice and a side (do try the Chole Masala). The food is very very yummy and the quantity is very good; each entree is enough for 2 people. The food is made then and there and is served hot and steaming. PRICE: Very reasonable and affordable price (Check the menu). For delivery minimum order is $15. SERVICE: Jasa is owned by two brothers and they both are very humble, nice and polite (except one is friendly and the other is a bit reserved).

Awesome Pakistani food in Canton....Chicken Karahi is one of the best I have had and more than enough for two people. Chicken Biryani was off the charts as well. So glad to finally find a decent Pakistani joint in Baltimore.

We absolutely love this place and it is actually pretty healthy for the most part. You can call ahead to pick it up or have it delivered. Their delivery is usually pretty fast too! Their chicken kabobs are fantastic and they are always willing to accommodate my gluten allergy. The one gentleman always makes Paneer Masala for me and it is absolutely delicious!! They are also reasonably priced and open late!! :)

I live right down the block from this place and I love it. I have never been dissatisfied. I think it's better than Moby Dick's from the DC area. If you go, get the specials. They are fast and good dishes. If you want to get one of the kabobs, I would suggest calling ahead because they cook them fresh and it takes about 15 minutes. Also, make sure to grab a samosa and a Lassi. It's also BYOB for those looking to imbibe. Some of the best food in Canton...because its one of a few places that doesn't serve bar food.

Got the chicken and lamb kabob combo with a side of samosas, awesome. Everything was delicious, in particular I would recommend the lamb and the chickpeas. I'll be back fur shur

  • Emily T.

Jasa is awesome. Friendly Staff, hot food, huge portions, and I love the green sauce that comes with the Kabobs. I can not comment on how fast their delivery is (because I only live a block away) but whenever I call ahead it is ready within about 15 minutes... meaning they actually make the food after you order it. I have seen so many take out places fail in this space... which is amazing because of its location, but I think Jasa is here to stay!

I keep coming back for the Lamb Biryani. It is by far, the best I've tasted in the States. The pakoras/samosas are also excellent. The owner's particularly friendly and affable. Worth a punt for sure.

Had the filet mignon kebab and it was terrific! A bit pricey but worth it The beef was perfectly marinated, cooked and oh so tender. The rice, as always, was excellent. Accommodations area bit harsh and austere in the dining area but the food is wonderful and very authentic. Although Filet Mignon kebab is not something you would find on the menu in most middle eastern countries the flavors were spot on.

Yummy - open super late (way past midnight), great takeout. Love their beef kabob and their biryani. I've been to a lot of kabob places and this one can definitely hold its own.

I've eaten here four times. The food is okay - not the best, not the worst. That said, they have pretty good falafel and veggie specials. My wife and I went in on Easter to order a falafel platter. We stood at the register for literally ten or fifteen minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Someone working in the back noticed us, nodded and proceeded to incessantly bang on some piece of metal over the grill with a BIKE PEDAL while we stood waiting. No "hello", no "someone will be with you.." Seriously? Why is customer service in Canton Square typically so abysmal? Yeah, doubtful we will be going back.

I ordered beef kabobs with okra and a falafel salad. The beef was grizzly, the falafel was dry enough to choke on, and the lettuce in the salad looked like it should have been thrown away yesterday. I can't believe this place has a four star rating average.

I was visiting a friend who lives in Baltimore and he suggested we go to this place to get kabobs after the bar. I wasn't in the mood for kabobs, but I went in anyway. The place is small and when we walked in there was only 3 people sitting down. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (I'm a HUGE fan of butter chicken so this was the next best thing). The Chicken Tikka Masala was amazing! So delicious...and the rice was flavored very well. The meal came with chick peas and a small salad and I ate everything. It's kind of pricey, but for the quality of food, it was reasonable. As soon as my friends and I were finishing up, that's when the hugeeeee wave of people from the bars started coming in. This place seems pretty successful. I definitely recommend trying this place. They are open until 2:30 am on the weekends which is great. I'll be coming back next time I'm in the area.

Jasa Kabob is one of my favorite Baltimore spots! The owner is extremely kind and accommodating, always willing to make substitutions. The food is delicous and affordable and Jasa has become my go-to for takeout. Although the most popular (late night) items are the kabobs and wraps they are not the best things on the menu. The beef samosas, chicken tikka masala, and lamb curry are exceptional. Make sure to ask about the daily specials, they are always a hit.

So, what do you want from a place that is located in Canton, one of the hotter spots for nightlife in Baltimore? Late Hours and Bar Afterhours? - Check Affordable and Well Priced Items? - Check Tasty edible food? - Check Fast and Friendly Service? - Check This one's a winner, people! Now ask me what I normally order when I go to Jasa? Sorry, can't remember since I'm usually very drunk when I get food here BUT I can tell you that is 2 for $10 and that it soaks up all the alcohol, deliciously.

    (4)
  • Christopher Sean M.

The food is "okay" but there is definitely better Indian food in Canton/Fells (Darbar!). I'll admit their samosas are quite tasty as are some of the daily specials, but the in-store seating/atmosphere is meh at best. I would have given two or three stars, but a recent interaction made me reconsider. They LOST the few redeeming qualities of their food by not honoring one of their own coupons. It was a little over a year old but explicitly stated that it had no expiration -- they just decided they weren't going to honor them any longer. The owner/manager made no attempt to offer recompense (the coupon cost $$) which just left us with a very sour taste of that short-sighted underhanded business decision. I'd rather give my business to places with more reputability and real concern for their customers.

Woooo!! That's what I say when I eat the rice at Jasa Kabob. Everything I've had here meets my expectations, lamb curry, okra saag, samosas, but the riced has some heat to it. Yowzer. It's that kind of heat that doesn't go away but lingers for the whole meal. The space is small so if you're eating in be prepared. It's a BYO, however, and there's a liquor store a few doors down so that's a plus. Def hit this place up if you're in the area and want a good Northern Indian/Pakistani meal.

Delicious! The meatball curry special on Sundays is my favorite. The okra side dish is amazing. I got so stuck on my favorites that I didn't get to try all the other delicious-sounding items on the menu... It's a small place so it's better for very small groups or take-out. Their food is well-spiced, just how I love it!

  • Jennifer H.

It 's okay. Chicken kabob is delicious. Rice is pretty good, but naan is chewy. Dal, channa masala, and falafel wrap are just okay. I LOVE mint chutney, but theirs is watered down. The service is very friendly, though, and happy to oblige special requests. That 3rd star is definitely for the service (and they deliver).

I picked this place because of its high reviews, and its mix of Mediterranean and Indian food. Walking in I noticed two things, first, and this is the only fault I could find with the place, my feet stuck to the floor, as if a person had spilled a soft drink, and it hadn't been mopped up. Second, the decor caught my eye. I couldn't stop staring at the rustic/rusty meat cleaver posted above the menu. The minimalistic yet functional seating, complete with a L shaped table, and wall benches complimented the atmosphere nicely, creating a cozy and functional feel. A mango lassi was a must, and hit the spot. After waiting a remarkably short amount of time for my appetizer of nan and hummus, the main dishes quickly followed, each more enticing than the last. The generous portion of lamb curry had been cooked impeccably, and the lamb, which, as I was informed by the manager, was from New Zealand, and more importantly, some of the best lamb I've ever eaten. The lamb beryani was impeccable, seasoned with some freshly chopped cilantro, adding a fresh zest to an already incredibly tasty dish. If I come back to the area, I will most certainly return. PS other notes: The samosas tasted really good. The little salad that came with the curry special was kinda small/a little out of place. The green sauce is delicious, and I should have asked for extra.

I don't even like Indian/Pakistani food! No wait - I hate Indian and Pakistani food, and yet Jasa Kabob is so delicious it made me change my mind! I still wouldn't eat that kind of stuff anywhere else but from the few times I got food in there, I must say it was so much and so tasty that I was very pleasantly surprised. The place itself is not too big or fancy at all but is totally worth it. I believe you can also bring your own beer, I remember drinking a Nati Boh with my chicken meal. I must go there again soon now that I think about it...:)

so I keep walking by this place and the smell is so good it's overwhelming all logical thinking. Plus it's the only "ethnic food" option on canton square anyway. So I finally tried it yesterday and OMG - this food is so freaking good !!!! This place is 5-star kabob takeout, you will not be disappointed. Plus they have a really cool interior and reasonable prices, generous portions. I got the Chicken Kabab Masala, with Naan bread, and vegetable Samosas - all excellent and seasoned with just the right amount of kick and soul-warming savoriness. The Naan was served steaming hot wrapped in tin foil. I am now permanently addicted. Literally I had to tear a couple other take-out menus off my fridge to make room for this menu front and center. Several other businesses have failed in this location, but this food hits just the right note and was sorely needed. The smell alone will hook you. I thought that the spice & complexity of flavor might be too much for my very picky 17month old son, but he wouldn't stop eating it - he's just as addicted as me!

During the Canton Wine Fest we came across Jasa Kabob along O'Donnell Street Square. The aroma of Kabob's being grilled was enough to hypnotize us in. Quite a small restaurant more like a carry out, but there are enough tables and chairs for about 15 people or so people to sit in which was not bad for a quick lunch. Don't judge the size of this place just yet check out the intensive menu with lots of Kabobs everything from beef, chicken, lamb, grilled salmon, falafel, samosas, Tandori Chicken, Vege Masalas, Biryani's , tikkas, and of course what is a kabob place without freshly grilled gyros. While the owner was preparing our meal he offered us to try some of his delish, golden brown, and marinated bone in chicken wings. Oh what finger licking good morsels of chicken wings I may say. Wish Jasa Kabob has a location closer to the Inner Harbor where I work. I can see this place rising on the ranks among my top 10 list to eat lunch if they were closer to the office. There is still hope for my craving Kabob fix. Jasa Kabob does catering and delivery for orders over $15 which is not at expensive. The lamb Kabob was enticingly good and came with some seasoned rice, and salad, served with naan on the side. The chicken was so tender, bursting with that flavorful blends of spices and herbs in every bite. Wish we were not too full, but serving size here is pretty big and all that carbs of delish rice and naan can easily fill you up. If I did have room for dessert I would go for their rice pudding or sweet dough balls of Gulab Jaman. It's good to know that Canton has a place where you can get great Kabobs. A place that serves Indian/Pakistani authentic dishes. Jasa might be a small hole in the wall, family owned restaurant, but the potential expansion is written in the future of this establishment. Great customer service, lots of choices from vegetarian to halal meat, salads and wraps, and now desserts too they got the formula for an up and coming restaurant that is just about to make it big. It's already a landmark at Canton square and the steady stream of locals coming in to pick up their phone or online orders shows a bright future for Jasa Kabobs.

Chicken kabob is their purported specialty; the chicken was decently cooked (slightly dry), but the seasoning was lacking. The naan was decent, though slightly greasy. The bed of rice the chicken was served on was a bit dry and crunchy. It would be nice to have more condiments to help out with the seasoning. The mango lassi -- huge portion, but a bit watered down tasting. I'm going to check out the curry next time and see how they do with the spices on that. At least it's not overpriced and it's a nice change of pace from the rest of the Square. There's a few places to sit down at after you order at the counter, but the chairs/benches are situated awkwardly far from the tables, so it's not the most comfortable place to eat in.

I've gotten carry out several times from this place now (it is located where Py Pizza used to be) and it is a very welcome addition to the carryout choices in the neighborhood. The kabobs and curries are excellent and spiced just right. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is very fast and prices are reasonable. I would have given them 5 stars, but they got my order wrong a couple times. On the other hand, I really can't complain because even though the order was wrong, the food was delicious.

Authentic-tasting Indian food, very reasonable prices, generous portions, and friendly service. Plus, they deliver! I ordered several platters on a rainy evening and the delivery man was extremely friendly and the food was very hot. I've been back since that first, great experience and the food was just as good the second time around. I'll definitely be going back more often.

Tasty, big portions, great flavors and good prices. I'm a huge fan and psyched it's near my house. I wish they'd use real plates/utensils, but that's a personal gripe. I've eaten actual Iraqi/lebanese/turkish in country and this is good stuff.

If you are into Middle Eastern cuisine, this place is so good. It's pretty small to eat inside, so get it to go, and you won't be disappointed. Very reasonable prices, and big portions. I love the Nan bread and the combination kabobs.

I am in love with the lamb chops that are marinated and cooked so that you can cut it with a plastic fork. I think baba ganoush was a little bland, naan was very nice (if you ask for crispy). Had enough food left over to have for lunch the day after.

I have been to Jasa Kabob a handful of times now and I am completely hooked on their food. I usually get chicken and beef kabob combo and it's perfect everytime. The naan bread is always hot and everything seems spiced just right. I hope Jasa sticks around for a long time.

Got delivery from here the other day due to the unfortunate situation of being both lazy and hungry. Ordered through the eat24hours.com site which worked out pretty well. I was really impressed with the speed, if it was a half hour I'd be shocked. The food was really quite good. I had the Chicken Biryani and my buddy had the Chicken Kebab and we got an order of the hummus, too. Everything was very tasty. As some of the other yelpers mentioned, the rice is pretty spicy, unpleasantly so to my palate, though I'm not big on spicy, so that might be fine for others. Would definitely order again, but would be more prepared for the rice.

Mmmm... This was a fantastic meal after a day full of day drinking in Canton for St. Paddy's! I would come here more often day or night if I lived closer! I ordered what my friend in front of me usually gets at this place and I was not let down! The chicken kabob gyro was delish! It was a nice sized portion and totally filled me up. The chick peas were yummy and the rice was flavorful as well. I loved that the wrap for the gyro was naan. Soo good! My bf had the lamb kabob and thought it was very tasty! It got busier as the evening went on.

This is definitely one of our go-to spots for delivery and/or take out. Food is tasty and filling (and even healthy?!), options are plentiful and the daily special is always a hit. Plus they're great on the phone - an added bonus for delivery! My only tiny gripe is the price is a little steep but you definitely get what you pay for: plentiful deliciousness!

Very delicious kabob's!! Finally a decent kabob place in Baltimore. Great portions, reasonable prices. Try the lamb chops and the samosa's are also excellent (the dough is different from the typical samosa but it is really delicious)

Thank god there's finally good and cheap Indian food in Southeast Baltimore! The mattar paneer was excellent, and each daily special comes with a salad, green chutney, and naan. Awesome.

i usually get kabobs from little morocco cafe on eastern ave but decided to try here since i got a coupon. i was disappointed. i got lamb kabob and a beef tikka. the meats were alright seasoned ok cooked fine. but nothing to go crazy for. the rice was good but not much of it. the salad was a slice of tomato (partially green), a bit of iceberg lettuce and some onion. the side of veg was okra that was super greasy and nothing special. the other veg we got, chickpeas were nothing to rave about either. the naan was good. i will definitely be returning my business to little morocco cafe for my kabob fix.
