I really want to love this place. It's walking distance, which is hard to find in the suburbs, not to mention the food is quite cheap. However, everything here is a hit or miss. As for the hits: Kung Pao Chicken - some of the best I've had honestly. I like to add a touch of Sriracha and soy sauce though. Lo Mein - I've only had the shrimp variety, but it's surprisingly good. Big shrimp. But again, Sriracha and soy sauce. Crabmeat Wonton - had these just last night. Fantastic. Honestly the best thing I've had here, but also fairly expensive compared to the rest of the menu. I've also tried their General Tso chicken and wonton soup multiple times, but wasn't impressed. They need to improve their battering/frying of the chicken.

Food: 2-3 at best Service: adequate Quantity: low-average for the price Kung pao chicken, $7.50 small w/ rice Bowl full of green peppers, minimal chicken. Taste wasnt that good of the little chicken they had Szechuan chicken: $750 small. lacking as well. Low mein: $9 4/5 Nothing fancy but decent. Get hot sauce and make it taste better. Bbq pork: 3/5 fatty and not fresh but the best part about this meal. Mongolian beef: $10 A bowl full of onions and mediocre/subpar beef All in all, if you are stuck and need food, ex lunch break or running late for dinner...not a terrible option. If you have time and want something better... Get it. Wouldn't return unless i was stuck.

Not a very bad place but we ordered the pu pu platter and it came with 2 shrimp toast 2 dried up meatlike strips on a stick one wonton 2 horrible spareribs and ONE eggroll CUT IN HALF!!! They are also very obsessive on the sauces they keep them behind the counter and will give you ONE of each if you ask for some!!! we also tried the orange chicken which was not too bad.We ordered the large size and got a tiny cotainer of rice (they are very skimpy on everything) Usually your supposed to have chinese takeout leftover to sit in the fridge for weeks but we were still hungry afterwards..

We used to order take out every Saturday for co-workers , but the service have gone down the drain. The lady who answers the call is unresonably rude and mean. We ordered there for 10 years and were happy when part-timer / younger lady work there because she was nice, but the older lady came back to work. Lucky the food is good but the lady now wants to not give any chopsticks or spicy sauce. She wants us to pay extra because we order so much and need chopsticks and more sauce. We don't order there any more often as we used to ,but hope she read this and change the way she talks or get someone to answer the phone for her.

I enjoy the food, great service, food taste good. A little pricey but it is well worth it. I can say it takes a long time for delivery.

I called in an order tonight. I was asked right away if I wanted to pick it up or have it delivered. I asked for delivery and then ordered my food. After I completed my order, she asked if that was it and I said yes. She said that there was a minimum amount to be placed on a card and then said good bye. She did not offer me to order something else or to pick it up. I asked if I could do this and she hung up the phone on me. It was really strange. I guess they don't need the business. I have been there a couple times because it is so close to my house. The food is average to low quality. Because I was hung up on, I looked for another place to deliver and found No. 1 Chinese Kitchen. There minimum for using a charge card was less the quality of food was 10X better!

Zero stars...I had the hot and sour soup which tasted like nothing! Thank goodness it was free for me! It was so bland, plain, tasteless, pointless, boring...You get the point yet? The menu claimed that the soup would have white meat chicken in it, which I've never heard of hot and sour soup having any meat in it...So, upon sipping the soup the chicken was hardly noticeable either except by minimal pieces of something with a texture of chicken. If it even was chicken! Then, they had the nerve to put one slice of mushroom in it!! Just once that was pointless to do as well. When I got home I had to flood it with soy sauce to add a little salt and flavor. It worked slightly because without a pound of added salt or soy sauce I would have thrown it away. I ordered with two other people and from their point of views the Egg Foo Young was plain and tasteless except for the egg tasting disgustingly like grease...glad I passed on that one. The other person has their fried chicken wings which when I had a piece of the meat tastes seasoned and maybe I could eat that, but I can't vouch for the skin. Health hazard with the chicken wing lunch special too...you're already getting fried wings then you get French fries and rice...overdose of starch but cool for the price, I guess? And prices are like a dollar more when compared to other chinese take out joints and the flavor of the food is not worth the price though still not expensive. You can sit in and take out...thought it would be good because I see a lot of people carrying out, but maybe soy sauce is their best friend too! I probably wouldn't go here again.

Be careful. The Customer service is horrible. I used to order all the time from this place cause I enjoy their food. I usually have them deliver because I don't drive. I always tip the delivery guy, but this one time I didn't not have it to tip him. My food came up to $22 and I gave him $40. He asked he how much was I tipping him. I told him that I didn't have it for a tip today but I would tip him next time since I always order from there. He was very nasty to me and told me oh well if u can't afford to tip then don't make delivery orders, next time come pick that shit up yourself. I called the restaurant to report to them what happen and they laughed. I thought it was very rude and unprofessional since I'm a loyal customer. It's just bad customer service and I will never order from here again.

This place is by far the best Chinese food I've had in Baltimore. The ingredients they use are so fresh, which makes a huge difference. It is a lil pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend this any to anyone.

Seemed busy when I called in the order. It took about 40-60 minutes for delivery. Food was hot and delicious. Typical Chinese food place. Nothing stood out as magnificent. It was very neatly packed if that counts for anything.

This little hole in the wall restaurant is perfectly acceptable. I've both dined in as well as had food delivered and every time it's been hot, tasty and plentiful. There's not too much about Hunan Wok that makes it stand apart from all the other smaller Chinese restaurants. They seem to make more Americanized Chinese dishes, like their Crab Rangoons and Moo Goo Gai Pan, which are good. But I have made some special requests that have come out quite well too, such as tofu with black beans sauce. As far as convenience goes - decent food, reasonable prices, friendly staff and close by - this place is totally worth trying.

We use this as our go to Chinese delivery restaurant. Typically fast and accurate and food is good. Nothing special or fancy but always receive friendly service!

I've picked up food here twice. Both times because I seriously didn't feel like cooking for dinner. I've got to say that this place does the trick. Your typical chinese food, nothing special. The portions sizes are huge for what you pay for. The eggrolls, fried rice and lo mein are on par. I'd definitely hit this place up again, especially when I don't want to cook.

Worst Chinese food (carry-out) in Baltimore and I have been to many over the past 40 years. First entree was pork with string beans. Literally half the pork was fat. Before eating, I had to cut off the fat from "every" piece of meat. The remaining meet was tough and chewy. It looked like they forgot the sauce but I discovered it at the bottom of the dish. It was a brown water liquid with very little taste. Normally, the brownish sauce slightly sticks to the beans and pork. Our second entree was chicken and broccoli. The chicken was rubbery.. Again, there should have been some sauce sticking to the broccoli and chicken, but it was at the bottom. At the bottom of the dish was some light brown liquid and floating on the liquid was about 1/4" of oil. The chicken was so bad, we could not eat it. On the positive side is the fact that the beans and broccoli appeared fresh, I had to throw out the meals instead of putting them in the garbage disposal because I was afraid that it would clog up the pipes.

By far the best carry-out Chinese food in the area. Bold flavor and fresh ingredients are obvious in every bite. Definitely give this place a try, you won't be sorry!!!

The food here very fresh tasting, and it was delivered quickly. The prices are very reasonable, and they have coupons for bonus spring rolls and appetizers.

If I could give this place no stars I would. The food here tastes like absolutely nothing. Air. Less than air. Perhaps everything has been kept in the fridge for months, who knows. But even the packaged items like the sauces and fortune cookies had zero flavor. Avoid this place like the plague.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
