Really satisfying meal. My boyfriend and I were in town for Preakness and wanted to explore some new spots. Every place we tried for breakfast was slammed. We were walking around and found Felici Cafe. The word was fresh, tasted delicious and "healthy" and the staff was extremely kind and courteous. We are so full and happy! Will definitely come back

Pretty good food and the healthy aspect is great, but the portions are pretty small and it is fairly expensive for a lunch spot.

I really wanted to like Felici Cafe when it opened. They serve healthy food in an area where that is hard to come by (bar food is the gold standard in Fed Hill). They have great recipes and good ingredients. The salads taste good and the staff is friendly. My favorite was the Pollo salad that had the spicy dressing. However, consistency here is about zero. Frankly, you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes they give you the wrong salad. Sometimes they don't take off the item you asked them to leave out. Other times, things are included in the salad that weren't on the menu. Sometimes you don't get bread. Sometimes you get three slices of bread. Sometimes you get dressing mixed in, sometimes you get it on the side, and sometimes you don't get any dressing at all. Going here is like a crap shoot. You just don't know what you'll walk out the door with. Some of this could be to the obviously high staff turnover... I've never seen anyone but the executive chef working there more than once. They are always training someone new. None of them know how to make salads or run the register. There are always other employees cooking in the back, but none of those employees will come to the front and assist when it's busy. Just seems like poor management internally. Couple all this with the fact that service is painfully slow and you get a restaurant with good food but a frustrating experience. That is what has stopped me and the rest of the people at my office from going back to Felici. It's good food but you don't know what you'll get, it will take a long time, and you'll stand around getting frustrated. If they fixed these issues, it would be a great spot.

I was in here for a brief meeting with a friend. The service was friendly, the muffin I ordered (corn/jalepino) was tasty and a bonus star for the blueberry drink they had in the cooler. My friend comes here often and she got a smoothie which she enjoyed.

This is the only whole vegetable juice bar that I know of in the immediate area. I build my own juice with beets, spinach, apple, lemon and ginger. Always go for the large since it's just a buck or two more and quite a difference. I had one of their salads but that was almost a year ago and I remember being unimpressed. I've really only gotten juices and smoothies here which never disappoint.

The only thing that saves this review from being a 1 is that the salads are decent and this is the only salad place in the neighborhood. I so wish they could be good! But after giving them a "second chance" about a dozen times, I have to say last week was their last second chance. As other reviewers have said, they are SUPER slow which is inexplicable given they make salads with pre-chopped ingredients and it's never than busy (usually takes about 20 minutes, one time it took an hour). I've had some bad service, some takeout orders messed up, and I don't think they train the staff who make coffee with any kind of actual barista training - the worst was when I ordered an iced latte and the guy wanted to steam the cold milk and then pour it over ice... Tried e-mailing the management to see if they'd be willing to try and address my issues but got no response. My friend facebooked them and got a super rude response. I've gotta say that most people around my office (which is right down the street) stopped going here because the slow service is not worth it for a salad or a mediocre smoothie. I really wish it could have worked out between us, Felici....

I originally came because I had heard good things about their juices, but ended up getting dinner as well. I ordered the mofungo, which is a Puerto Rican dish. It was ripe plantains mixed with cilantro and garlic topped with curried chicken and a side of curried chickpeas, rice and black beans and also came with a side salad. We were brought our salads first and it was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. I ate every bite! Then the mofungo was brought to our table. Wow! I've never had it before but it was amazing! Everything on the plate was bursting with flavor. And for less than $10 it was a great dinner. I ended up saving half because it was so much food. The other menu items looked great as well -- plenty of sandwiches, salads and pizzas as well as breakfast items. Service was great as well. We came in after they were technically closed but they let us sit and finish our meal. There's some outdoor seating as well as plenty of seating indoors. If you're looking for a healthy spot to grab a casual meal or a juice definitely stop by Felici! And I heard it's BYOB!

Really impressed with this place. Stopped by for lunch on a walk to go pick up my car in Federal Hill. The place it replaced was your standard Italian Deli, complete with a lack of healthy options and various canned / jarred goods lining the walls that I doubt anyone actually bought. This place is NOT that. First of all, it looks a lot better, and second of all, the menu is fresh and healthy. I tried the Genoa flatbread sandwich (the flatbreads they use are almost more of a tortilla-type thickness than a traditional flatbread. Not saying that's particularly good or bad, just saying. The next day, I needed to be in that area again, so I grabbed lunch again. This time I went with the caprese flatbread, which was your usual tomato/mozzarella/balsamic type deal. There was a generous amount of mozzarella and it tasted very fresh. Good stuff. If this place was a little closer walk to my house I'd be there all the time.

I NEVER write reviews but the person working the register was so nice I felt compelled to do so. I've been to Felici a few times and gotten sandwiches/smoothies which were all good. I walked in today and got a hot chocolate which tasted great and wasn't simply Swiss Miss with some water. I came back to the register to get a cookie and the cashier said if I entered my phone number for their loyalty program I could get a free one. Sounds easy enough. Well I got my two cookies which were delicious. I've been here numerous times and haven't been disappointed yet. Quiet spot for studying or working.

Fantastic prices and wonderful food! Everything is very fresh and there are a lot of healthy options. I got the turkey powerhouse with a side of homemade kale chips. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to come here again!

Very small, nice atmosphere. Smoothie was very watered down. Has a pretty nice menu, but I only went in to try a smoothie. Will try the food next time.

TERRIBLE. My 6 friends and I went here at around 10:30am for breakfast sandwiches. There were only 4 other people there, so they were not busy. It took at least 25 minutes for the first sandwich to come out, and one by one they made them and brought them out ONE BY ONE each 5 minutes apart at least. By the time the last person got their sandwich they were the only one eating. We went inside to investigate what was taking so long and they were making every egg separate, every 2 pieces of bacon separate, every bagel toasted separate. They knew that we were all together, even if we were not, why wouldn't you make all the pieces of bacon at a time?! The sandwiches were okay, nothing special. Do not waste your time going here, go to the other 2 breakfast places on the street, it is worth the wait there.

I really want to like this place but that's hard when it takes over 20 minutes for a salad. Every time I come in here whether it's busy or not the food takes forever. I think that's the last stop I make here. I'd have an easier time agreeing it was busy if there were more than 10 people there in front of me.

I am continually impressed with Felici Cafe. I work in the neighborhood and to have a restaurant with quick healthy options is so important for federal hill. Everything I have had seems like it is home cooked. For sandwiches, the Cuban sandwich is my go to with the pickle, ham, mustard, all grilled up making the perfect lunch. I also loved their Monte Cristo as a sweet and savory change up and their veggie sandwich with the mandated portabella is amazing. Finally the southwest chicken pot pie was not your traditional pot pie but was flavorful beyond belief. The always friendly staff and the outside seating during warm days enjoying the neighborhood bustle makes this a must visit for federal hill.

Such a gem Federal Hill cafe. Chef Leah makes sure each salad is homemade with the freshest ingredients. I adored my salad and substituted chicken for avocado along with mango, greens, parmesan cheese tomatoes and a magnificent lemon vinaigrette. The vinaigrette on it's own tasted like lemon meringue pie.

Came here with the kids. Ordered a pizza, mofongo, caprese, and smoothies. Everything was very good, although I wasn't a fan of the plantain in the mofongo. Maybe I just don't like plantains. Service was excellent. Seating is tight but cozy. Only a single 4 people table, but the couple sitting there voluntarily switched to a 2 seat table when they saw us. Nice music in the background. Couple of arm chairs. We left happy.

Incredibly fresh ingredients and awesome juice/coffee. Wish they stayed open a little later since I tend to get home after 7pm occasionally but they still get 5 stars because of the great people who work there and the unbeatable food.

I've been saying fed needed a salad place for a while and felici cafe is a perfect option for healthy sandwiches and salads. The customer service couldn't be better (so, so friendly) and there's lots of great menu options. I tried a sandwich and a juice and they were both delicious. Can't wait to try the coffee! Nice day out? Take it to go and eat on top of the hill!

The food here is good and the place is cute inside. I really like their sandwiches, and the turkey chili is interesting--it's good, but it's more like turkey soup. My only complaint is although very friendly, the service is SO slow. Haven't tried their salads, juices, or smoothies yet, and I want to, but the slow service (even late in the afternoon) keeps me from doing it.

One of the few places in Baltimore to consume food and beverages that isn't blasting the top hits at top volume. I stopped by here hoping to spend some time in a place that wasn't a bar. I had a coffee, enjoyed the friendly staff, and listened to Sinatra and jazz as I read for about an hour. Loved it. The food tastes great, the juice bar is welcome, and it's far less obnoxious as the rest of Fed Hill.

Great little coffee shop with nice ambience, music, and extremely friendly staff. Granted I only ordered a coffee and apple, but their healthy milk/cream alternatives and fresh fruit selections were great. Definitely going back.

A terrific, healthier alternative to the bar food in the neighborhood. Their sandwiches and salads are fresh and made-to-order, using local vendors and ingredients. My favorites are the Asiano salad and Cubano sandwich. The dinner entrees are also a nice treat for a quick, easy dinner that tastes so good! Don't forget to try their fresh squeezed juices, too. Yum!

This cafe is a great addition to the neighborhood. My favorite items are the smoothies (healthy AND delicious!), The Milano sandwich is great as well, and the salads are beautiful. The service is efficient and friendly.

I got the tropical smoothie. It was very tasty but would have liked more ice in my smoothie. Menu looks great. Can't wait to get back and try more. Decor is a little dingy but don't judge a book by it's cover

I stumbled into this place by accident. It's amazing! Ambient, friendly staff, clean restrooms, and smoothies fresh enough to kill for. Do recommend!

Hidden gem. Great juices. Their "Tropicale" is probably the best juice blend I've had anywhere.

Felici's could be great, bad has a few shortcomings that need to be improved. The same menu item varies from day to day, based on who is making it. Often times the smoothies are ice, with just enough fruit and veggies to add color. They also need to cut out the iceberg lettuce. For the quality of the ingredients they use, spinach, or at least a garden mix is expected for the price. If these traits were fixed, the incredible service, and awesome quality would make Felici's the best healthy place for a quick bite in Federal Hill.

Finally a healthy option in Federal Hill. The salads, juices, and flatbreads are delicious. My only issue is I think everything should be $1 less expensive. Prices are more DC than Baltimore.

I'm so happy Federal Hill has a great healthier option. I work in the neighborhood and it's nice to know that we now have a place for salads and smoothies. I had a panini and a Raspberry Whit Chocolate Mocha and both were great. I wanted to try a salad, but it was just too cold outside to think about it. I will be going back to try other items.

Writing this review after having come here 6 times. My main complaint is how slow the service is. The staff just seems confused the entire time. I kept on coming back because there are no other salad options in Fed Hill but I think this was my last time.

Great food and ambience, healthy choices and delicious lattes! Would definitely go back and would recommend to others! Definitely think the lattes are better than Starbucks!

Just what Fed Hill needed---a healthy option with GREAT salads and a good, but not overwhelming, menu. Aside from the food being delicious, the staff was exceptional and the atmosphere inside is warm and calming. Overall, I would definitely recommend to anybody who hasn't tried Felici's out :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
