I like Chipotle, just not this one. To me, it seems like the people making the food have never had Chipotle food (or Mexican/Tex-Mex/Salvodorean,etc) food. It's tastes like imitation Chipotle without as much flavor. When I have gone later in the day, it seems like they are out of something as well. I would go here a lot more if the quality improves, but will have to travel to other Chipotle locations until then. UPDATE- the store still tends to be out of ingredients towards the end of the night, and even after dinner time. They are stingy with meat and are almost always out of something.

Terrible service here. The food is fine, standard Chipotle fare. The staff doesn't give a rats ass about anything else though. They consistently screw up my order, no matter what I get. They are barely polite. Their mise is always out of something, so I have to wait while they replenish it. Today more than 2/3 of the containers were empty. This particularly bad visit, I ordered a kids' quesadilla for my daughter and they forgot to make it, I asked them three times, they insisted on looking at my receipt to verify I ordered it, but just didn't make it, then I asked again and they sort of nodded and looked away or shrugged like they couldn't help me or didn't know why it wasn't made yet. Assuming that meant they were working on it, I waited. And waited... 10 minutes after I was finished with my meal, they delivered it to my table. It was grossly overcooked. It had been on the press way too long (like it was forgotten) so the tortilla was totally dried out, the cheese had liquified and melted out and burned so there was burnt cheese all around the edges and none left inside. My daughter didn't want any and just shared my lunch. I didn't ask to talk to a manager because I'd had it with them and figured any place run this poorly had a manager who doesn't give a flying f***. If you have no other options (because there aren't many around here) it will do fine because the food is as good as any Chipotle, but double check your order and be prepared to wait.

This location is NOT that bad - I don't know where people are getting the idea that it is. Every time I've come in, the staff has been pleasant, polite and will accommodate requests with no trouble whatsoever. There have been a few times where they've been out of things, but that's not the staff's fault, is it? Always have a backup plan, people. Last time Hubs and I visited, the manager came around and asked us how things were, could they do anything for us, etc. I have a nasty feeling that they've seen these (rather unfair IMHO) reviews. Location is clean, the food is always hot (and generously portioned - no skimpy bowls here), and it's right in front of the Giant - convenient to grab a bite before grocery shopping. As far as I'm concerned, it's all I could want. The only "bad" thing is that the background music bites, but that's been the case at every Chipotle I've ever been to. The low ratings are undeserved.

These poor employees are always subject to me coming in there with orders for my son's chess team and parents during tournaments, and they always handles it flawlessly. The food is standard Chipotle fare, so if you're expecting something fancier or more delicious than the norm, you're an idiot. They have a side prep area that handles large orders, which mine are. The employees are always friendly, whip the orders up super fast (which I insist isn't necessary), ring me up without complications. No one complains, they always offer to help me carry stuff to my car, label each order. I never go anywhere else for large orders.

Should tortilla chips be so chewy you can't bite into or swallow them? I don't think so. The burrito was lukewarm, but I shouldn't be surprised as no one was cooking- everything was pre-made and I don't know how long ago. This location wasn't particularly clean, either.

Make the trip to Towson/Pikesville locations or settle for a whole burrito full of sadness. You're better off ordering in person should you choose to ignore my warning. Order online and get sadness disguised as a chicken burrito, but you won't find out till you get home. :( Sad, sad 41st street Chipotle. You served me an ice cold burrito, how do you manage to do that? Why do you hate me? Eh... There should be a feature in the app that reminds me to make the drive to Towson or Pikesville.

I ate here for lunch and ordered the new sofritas burrito. Sofritas are a type of cooked tofu, and I personally thought it tasted like chicken. If you're a vegetarian, you might enjoy it, but I'll continue ordering meat next time. The burrito was fairly large and filling for a lunch, and it was packed with rice, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa. The servers were friendly, and we were able to refill our soft drinks here. All in all, a pleasant dining experience.

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this location. This Chipotle is really close to my job, so I come here more than I would like to admit, haha. I usually place my order online and come pick it up. My order is always ready when I get there, and they haven't messed it up once *knock on wood*. Even when I go through the line, the staff has been friendly and the service is efficient. In fact, this is the first location I've been to in a while that seems to always hook up my burrito bowls. They are heavy and filled with deliciousness. If you're in the area and the craving hits, don't be scared based on the other reviews and check out this Chipotle.

Seriously...slowest Chipotle ever! And they don't even know what busy is...Chipotle on York Rd. I'm not a usual Yelp user, but this place... Also, out of large cup lids???

If I could give this Chipotle no stars, I would. The corn salsa taste like onion water, the brown rice was super hard and the chicken was flavorless. The staff is what really pissed me off. Everybody in there needs to go back to Chipotle training and learn how to do their job. It should not be 2 people on the register 1 person making the food and everybody else standing around just looking. And one of the ladies that work there need to put a hair net on her chin. Will never come there again!

I go to this Chipotle a few times a week, and I think I'm ready to say that overall, it's okay. During peak business hours, they're well staffed and move relatively smoothly. However during off hours like around 2:30, the staff is short, causing a little more wait time, and it appears some of them don't know how to wrap a burrito. With a relatively small menu, I expect that wrapping a burrito should be one of the first things that all staff members should learn, even if they're not always stationed at the front. That said, this location still provides generally good service and the food is always good. I would just make sure to come a little earlier

I have been to this Chipotle more times than I care to admit. I am a Chipotle Fanatic and was so excited when I heard one was opening up not 2 minutes from my work. I have had very up and down experiences with this location, yet today was the straw that broke the camel's back. It is a shame because the manager is very nice and seems to care, yet the employees are not doing a great job for his reputation. Last week when I visited this location, I was picking up a large order for clients. I arrived a few minutes later than my pick-up time. Yet, when I walked in, they hadn't even begun to make my order. I waited for another 20 minutes, and they finally completed my order. The girl at the cash register was very apologetic and seemed embarrassed that I had waited that long, and that her co-workers seemed so nonchalant. To add insult to injury, they forgot part of an order so I had to drive back and have the rest of the order fulfilled. Today when I went, I had much higher hopes. Yet, I was disappointed again. Like I said before, I am a Chipotle fanatic so I know their prices like the back of my hand. I ordered a Meat and Cheese full size quesedilla, which runs to be about $4.50. Yet the woman at the register rung me up as having a full burrito (About $7). After disputing the issue, I realized I just needed to get my food and leave, so I would pay the price she was asking me too. I also ordered chips and guac. Not only did I get overcharged on the meal, she also handed my my chips, guac, and quesedilla by themselves. I asked for it to be bagged, and she simply handed me a bag, and said "here". So now, I was overcharged and I had to bag my own meal. I am extremely unhappy with the way I was treated today, and I will now only be frequenting the York Rd. Chipotle.

I ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice, mild salsa, cheese, and lettuce from this location to go for lunch. Once I returned to my office and began eating I was sickened by the third bite. I looked down and there were several strands of black wavy hair in my food. I was disgusted by what I saw and probably already ate. I was done!!! The thought of eating someone's hair...I dumped the meal in the office compost. If I hadn't walked several blocks to get lunch I would have taken it back. I don't think I'll be going back here anytime soon.

Employees were friendly and prompt with my order, however I discovered once I was home that the chicken in my burrito was burnt which made for an unpleasant meal. This was very disappointing given Chipotle's usual standards. I probably won't be visiting this location again.

I want this Chipotle to be good because it's so close to my house, but I always leave disappointed. If you go there later than 7pm, there won't be any fajitas. Toward the end of the night (anytime after sundown) they don't refill the empty food containers- it's just scraping the bottom of the barrel. The workers aren't professional, can be rude, and are often distracted and uninterested in helping. I hope that one day I can visit this location after sundown and get some fajitas.

Very upset.. As I go on my lunch break today I think I want chipotle.. So I jump in my car and drive 15 minutes to this location to find that it's not opening till 12, even though there is a full staff.. I understand that there is an inch of snow on the ground but it's not like we r in a blizzard.. I have had a few issues with this chipotle before when ordering online but never complained because things happen however this is unacceptable and seems lazy.

I've been trying to give this place a few shots but it keeps letting me down. the employees are not personable, they play around behind the counter, there rude, and on numerous occasions I've seen them eating the food while serving people. Sticking the the chipotle. If you want good chipotle and good service you my want to look elsewhere

Food is what you might expect from chipotle. Don't bother ordering online as they will definitely not have your order ready at the expected time. I have been stupid enough to do this three times and expect a different result. Not only is my order not ready, it never has even been started by the promised time and the staff acts surprised that I am here to pick up food I already paid for online. It's consistently 20-30 minutes late and a complete waste of time.

They always run out of stuff. I've been here on different occasions where they've been out of corn, fajitas, guacamole, vinaigrette! The customer service is not that good either. The workers are more concerned with chatting rather than helping out customers.

This is hands down the worst chipolte I've been to in the entire eastern seaboard. Employees are rude and incompetent. They are also out of things on a regular basis. This is the only bad Chipolte I've ever been to, go to another one.

Great news, Chipotle is finally here, serving Hampden and Roland Park! Love it. Can't wait til the patio opens!

I arrived at 150 and mistakenly scheduled my online order for 245. They promptly attempted to get it ready but didn't have the fajitas made which is fine since i mistakenly did the wrong time for my order. I was told to wait for 5 mins which unfortunately turned into 10-15 mins which wasn't a big deal since I understand stuff happens. Once the fajitas were ready they gave me a generous portion of meat and was told the order was on them. Five stars for excellent damage control. In addition, every other time I have gone they have been on point.

I had a very nice dining experience at the Hampden Chipotle. I tried the Sofritas Salad; all the ingredients were the proper temperature & tasted really good. The service was friendly & was happily given a small sample of the Sofritas when I requested it. After the cashier finished my order, she had a moment to tidy up & placed napkins on my tray while I was filling my drink cup. A small but thoughtful thing to do. Interior is modern & very clean. There are tables set up on the patio for dining outside when warm weather arrives (not soon enough). If you're a Chipotle fan & in the Hampden neighborhood, it's worth stopping in.

A pretty standard Chipotle, but I've noticed it's a little less crowded than the locations on N Charles and York.

Some nice folks work here, but the prep staff simply doesn't know how to cook. The rice is always hard and crunchy and the chicken is cooked to jerky like toughness. Just need better training.

  • Milly I.

The workers are cool. Management should definitely have extensive training on etiquette. I hate being yelled at or greeted as I walk in, but if we're face to face a little hello wouldn't hurt. Food, it's whatever I can live without it. There always seems to be some kind of shortage, i.e. steak or fajitas. More than likely will return on the nights I'm too lazy to cook.

So I have gone two this Chipotle twice, which is probably two times too many. I like Chipotle, and the food was standard fare but both times the service was questionable. The first time we went there was at night a few weeks ago. I guy comes into the store in a hospital gown, open back, no underwear. Everyone could see EVERTYTHING in the back. He is pacing back and forth, and asks for a water cup. They give him a water cup and he gets water and leaves. The security guard was too busy texting at a table around the corner. The employee went over to him afterward and was like did you even see that? He had no idea what had even transpired. There is no point in having security if they are not going to do anything. That being said, Chipotle if you are hiring someone for security please call me, I would love to get paid to text and make phone calls all night. We were there right before closing and actually saw the security guard get up and himself later to food in the kitchen. Today, I got to Chipotle again. It ends up taking 20 minutes. There is one person in front of me in line. They had questions, because it seemed like they had never been there before. They also were with someone with special needs. As someone who is an educator of children with special needs, I pay close attention to how people treat others. Chipotle employees did not go out of their way to make it easier for them. In fact they only had one person serving all of us. The other employee went back to the kitchen to laugh. They have trouble multitasking at all. I would not come here again, which is sad because I love Chipotle.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
