A standard Chinese take out place with a few tables if you want to eat-in and don't mind the atmosphere. The ambience is what you'd expect given the neighborhood: a gritty, low-budget, struggling, barely-passing-code sort of vibe. Very urban. Ethnic Chinese staff speak enough English to handle orders and do so with a stoic practical energy. The food is decent. Lunch-special portions were generous and the prices were right. More sensitive folks should stick to delivery, which I plan to try in future.

I did not like to taste or quality of the food at this store. I do not see any reason to go here when there are other Chinese food restaurants close by and offering delivery.

I can't say they are the most yummy, cheapest, or overall best value when ordering your favorite American deep fried wok tossed grease. However what China East has done, is became my go to spot for when I am way too wasted and want food. They are a phone call away and less than a hour away but still your food will always come in around the hour mark. I don't know what makes this happen, often you are told a wait time with a third of that time, then you will begin to sober up, and then your food is here! Amazing. Needless to say my favorite dish here is something impossible to mess up too bad, sweet and sour chicken. With a ratio of 15 to 45% breading and the rest is white breast chicken meat. You will find your self getting, a lot of carbs for your meal, not to mention the box of fried vegetable rice they will give you for free if you order a large enough box of chicken. As for the taste of the chicken it's mushy at best, the MSG sauce is really what makes this dish explode with flavor, however you will need more than the sauce they have to get anything from this meal. Their rice is okay at best, no egg, no vegetable, just fried rice. For the cost and the fact that I only order this when I m unable to drive I am at a loss of words for, China East but I can say it's not that bad.

Super pumped to have found that Chinese place in Baltimore that doesn't taste like mall food that has been sitting on "warm" for a few hours. Their bourbon chicken is delectable. I paid $9 for a large portion and it was LARGE! I ate it for dinner, lunch, then dinner again. The best bourbon chicken I've had. They have the classics, like general tsos, and allow you to specify how spicy you would like each dish. They also have a lot of traditional Chinese food that is not offered at a lot of the "American" Chinese food places. I love that I can order through yelp, which avoids mistakes w/ order on the phone. Delivery charge is only $1 which I find completely reasonable. Have ordered delivery twice and was on time! I will definitely eat here again! The beef teriyaki appetizer was sticky sweet with a salty kick and awesome as well. So relieved to have found great Chinese food in Baltimore...

Food is fine, delivery takes forever. I won't order from here again. Too many other places provide same quality of food without extended wait times. I badly regret pre-tipping the driver.

Hands down the best Chinese in Dundalk/Essex area. And honestly , I live by Camden Yards and have tried every Chinese place around the city, China East knows how to make food with flavor! I highly suggest the fried dumplings and/or beef teriyaki!

Discovered this place on GrubHub and I have only ever had delivery from here. It is standard Americanized-Chinese fare. Delivery is fairly quick, they always get the order right. But most of all, the food is consistently decent. Actually, their wonton soup is quite good, and you can get yourself a large carton of it for less than 3 bucks. A good, cheap takeout/delivery option in my area, and definitely my go-to for Chinese delivery in Baltimore.

Huge problem with the staff ! They claim they lost my order and after 1:30 of waiting I called back to have them hang up on me ! The food is standard Chinese/American food and for that reason I will take my business elsewhere ! You can eat as decent food anywhere else but get better service ! They did give me an extra can of soda !! Yippy to me !?

Ok, a last minute decision to pull over for some Chinese food left me feeling pretty disappointed. Trust me, my standards for take out American Chinese are not high. Price was similar to every other storefront Chinese place. I ordered the chicken with broccoli and requested it to be made spicy. It came out lacking any sort of flavor, and the chicken was really low quality. Best thing was that the egg roll was fried very well. It was not greasy at all. The filling was standard.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
