Authentic Pakistani food. Buffet is ok, not that great but the a la cart dishes have better quality. Tried the nihari, paya, haleem, chicken samosa and breads which had the right flavor and taste but they skimped on the meat in the haleem (more lentils than meat). I think they used chicken instead of red meat in haleem which is kinda unusual. The indian desserts like kheer and firni are good too but they don't have them on certain days. Parking is on the street. The decor is modest with a few plastic chairs and food is served in disposable plates. Hope the place maintains its authenticity and not tone down the spices and flavor to suit american taste.

This is a good option for a quick Indo/Pak buffet fix. It's on my way home so I am always tempted. The food tastes homemade and not like the restaurant-style masala food. Taste and quality of the food are good enough for the price. They have kulfi and it's just like the traditional ice cream back home. I have been here a few times and the place definitely looked cleaner during my most recent visit. Service is also adequate.

Ordered delivery and while it did take a long time, the lentil soup was absolutely spectacular (and a great deal portion to price). It also makes me very happy that they have many different goat dish options. mmmm.....goat.

I think this was the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. I got delivery, which was over an hour wait, and was more than disappointed with the food I saw. My friend got chicken tikka masala which ended up tasting like spicy marinara sauce. I got butter chicken and it was mostly just grease/oil and a bit of actual sauce. Both of our chicken had bones in it. The only thing that didn't taste horrible was the naan, which would have been hard to mess up anyway. I will never order from this place again. I recommend no one else does either.

We've ordered Bismillah in twice. Got goat curry, and chicken tikka with nan and samosas the first time. Super yummy chicken, my boyfriend loves the goat, but goat just isn't really my thing. Tonight we got bindi masala (okra) the chicken again, goat biriyani and samosas again and everything was super good. The entrees come with nan or rice and each order we've gotten has come with a small green salad, tamarind chutney and a yogurt sauce (riaita-ish). The nan is giant and decently good, the tamarind is a little too sweet but a nice foil to spicier dishes and I really like the yogurt sauce especially as a dressing on the salad. We tried this place because the guys at Punjab grocery told us it was where there samosas came from and we're super glad we did. When we were at the Crown we walked over and told them how much we liked our food and it did look pretty bleak in there but nothing we couldn't handle.

You know those restaurants which you walk in and wonder if the place is still in business? Like the start to a bizzare Guillermo De Torro film? Yeah, this place would be a great location to shoot a nightmare-on-Charles-Street film. The food is actually pretty good, and generous to boot. However, don't dine in here. This place has a $9.99 all day buffet Monday thru Thursday, and this is the place where they get all their materials for chaat. I ordered the samosa chaat and watched as the guy literally took a plastic plate and picked up some sanosas from the buffet and layered it with chickpea curry and vegetables (also courtesy of the buffet). I must say, the homemade tamarind chutney which came with the chaat was terrific- reminiscent of hawthorn berries. They served this to us without plates, probably as a challenge to see how much of a mess we could make ( I believe we exceeded their expectations on that note, there was curry everywhere). After serving this to us, it took them about half an hour to cook our food. In this time, my boyfriend killed about six fruit flies and three or four other UFIs (unidentified flying insects). The goat curry and chicken jafreezi comes with your choice of side, and I highly recommend getting them with naan. The naan is steaming hot and tastes amazing with the generous dish of curry - although it is a bit oily, but not disgustingly so. We were given complimentary salad with our orders, which also came from the buffet, but was a nice gesture nonetheless since it showed they cared about introducing some sort of plant matter into our diets. Now onto the food. Steaming hot, highly rich sauce, and excellently tender, flavorful meat. It was literally delicious. Is it oily? Well yes, but nothing more so than a burger or beef stew. The goat was amazing, with very generous portions, pure meat, with none of those nasty little vegetables that other places give you to reduce the number of meat cubes you get. Also, if you're like me and like to eat marrow, the goat marrow in this dish is absolutely divine, like tears from a unicorn. Chicken jafreezi was also excellent, and the chicken was very tender and flavorful. As I mentioned, the curry is very rich, and goes great with naan. All in all, the food was excellent, probably 4 stars if not more, but the dissappointing samosa chaat hastily assembled from the buffet knocked off a star. What really disappoints is the service if you're eating in-just don't. The water they give you has a really funny taste, a cross between kitchen degreaser and sprite. The owner is nice and sociable, but the presentation of the place (there's one lone Chinese/Japanese wooden panel hanging on the bare walls) combined with the dreary service makes this place unsuitable for dining in. Oh, and did I mention that their bathroom has no implements installed for drying your hands? Eh, just get takeout here. It's great.

So I've grown up on Pakistani food and this place is just ok. They out a lot of oil in their food and it makes for a very unique experience because sometimes it's just too oily and sometimes it's just right. I wouldn't recommend trying the buffet - ordering fresh is where you will get the best experience. I would come here again only if I'm desperate or are really craving keema which a bunch of other local Indian and Pakistani places just don't have.

This Pakistani guy was very rude, worst Indian food ever had will never go back there. Please avoid this place there is lot better Restraunt in Baltimore.

Worst food I have had in a long time. Everything tastes like it came out of a can. What Indian restaurant can't make naan bread? I got a hard piece of white bread. Terrible. Don't ever eat here.

Delicious and spicy! I had the dinner buffet and couldn't be happier. I really appreciate the authentic AND HALAL food.

This is the most authentic Pakistani cuisine you can find in Baltimore, without being pretentious like many other places. Great value for money if you are in for the food. If you're here in search for "desi" decor, there is none, in fact there is no decor whatsover. A simple buffet bar with styrofoam plates awaits you, and most of the clientele are cabbies. But the chicken tandoori kababs are the best I've had in Baltimore, and the chicken keema is finger-lickin good. This place has potential, despite the poor location.

When I had a hankering for cheap, filling, tasty Indian in shady Wire-like locations, I'd to India Tandoor. So that we what we did today- to find it's CLOSED!!! WAAAHHH!! But- what's this across the street? Well, a place that offers a Halal version of what we were seeking! The curtained, fancily signed exterior hinted of a well-decorated, fancy interior. Well, don't ready a book by its cover! It was very clean, but sparse- a few nice wooden booths in back, a few metal chairs and basic tables in the front, a picture or two on the wall, and a little countertop with a regsiter and scale (for the buffet) , and a big buffett along the wall. Service- seemed friendly, but not attentive. Maybe that we were new? Or they were shy due to sparse English? But when asked, they gave us water, naan, and explained food with a smile and pleasantly, so I can say they were very nice- but you have to approach them to get what you want! Maybe it's how tables are waited in Pakistan? The food-- really good!! Like Indian, but a little unsual. Things like chicken meatballs in a nice curry sauce, Italian spaghetti with tomato sauce (!- but good!), cow feet, chopped-bone in tandoor chicken, and variations of chana masala, dal, aloo with green peas, bone-in curried chicken, basmati rice- all really good!! I was a bit nervous, as there is evident oil in the sauces- but they came out tasting light, and not greasy at all. The kheer was EXCELLENT!! Based on thin noodles, not rice. The naan--- THAT WAS THE NAAN BOMB DIDDLY!! It was light, fluffy, crispy, yeasty, chewy...mmmmmm..... We will be back!! They have a whole section devoted to goat meat!! And other dishes to try- many familiar with Indian cuisine, some unique to Pakistan. And it's not expensive- most things are ten buck or less!! One nice thing about the atmosphere- everyone seemed to know each other. Folks would come and out, say hello, chat in foreign languages...seemed like a happy little community!!

The food is ok...I guess. What stands out about this place is how it is actually a taxi cab driver dispatch headquarters / cafeteria. Which is kind of cool. BUT You will wait forever for food. I ordered takeout. Showed up in 20 minutes like any decent place. Sat and waited for 40 more minutes till my kabab wrap and Indian vegetables were ready. Not really worth the wait.

Delivery took well over an hour to get here despite being a half mile away. It got here cold and missing one of the entrees. Called to get the missing entree taken care of. Called back 45 minutes later and they hadn't even sent it out yet.

Wonderful! Couldn't ask for a better halal buffet two blocks from my place. Hell, wouldn't have thought to ask for one, but there you have it. Do not order delivery; everything is made to order from their sparse staff and actually takes a bit of time to make so it's better to call ahead and pick up, come in to pick up some buffet dishes, or eat in! The staff are shy but friendly and quite receptive to new business. The buffet is only six bucks a pound. I'd never had goat curry before today and was super pleased, plus the aloo gobi was savory and packed an incredible spicy punch. Gorgeous!
