Went there for early dinner on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the kids. Ate outside. I was a bit worried because the place was quite empty when Fells Point was quite busy otherwise. We had good service. The food was very good, and unique. The kids (ages 5 & 9) each got pizzas, which were thin crust, flatbread style. They were very tasty. My wife got the steak sandwich (less than $10), which was delicious, and came with a side salad that was also very good and interesting--spring mix essentially, with nuts and fruit. I got the chicken sandwich, which was good. It had pesto topping and fresh mozzarella. It wasn't quite as good as the steak sandwich, but I was not disappointed, especially for $8. It came with a very generous serving of shoestring frenchfries that appeared "fresh cut", and had a little bit of additional seasoning, perhaps pepper, oregano, and/or rosemary--hard to tell exactly. I also got the "chop salad", which was good, but could have had a bit stronger a flavor, but good nonetheless. We would definitely want to go back.

Came here on a Friday, around 2PM. We got a seat outside under a shade...so we are off to a good start. The service was slow, but it wasn't annoying. Maybe because I actually had to chat with my company about business. Ordered Fried Calamari, Shrimp Linguini, and Seared Salmon. The food was good but not great...nothing to go nuts for. And the lady never asked us if we wanted anything to drink or if we wanted to order desert. She probably lost $30 because if she would've asked, we would've ordered. To sum this up, we won't be going back. We'll visit other places before we come here again.

I had a really nice lunch here & would definitely come back. Anastasia looks to be on the newer side and serves relatively inexpensive Italian dishes (pizzas, pastas, salads). The interior has two areas - a dining/bar room that is fairly dark and clubby feeling and a smaller area to the right of the entrance. We were over there and the windows open all the way meaning there's lots of light. They have a great lunch special - you pick 2 things from their list: 1/2 Panini, soup, salad or 1/2 pizza. I went for the pizza & salad combo and chose their mixed greens (spring mix, strawberries, walnuts, blue cheese, balsamic) and a cheese pizza. Both were really good - the pizza was about the size of 2 "regular" slices and the crust was crispy and delicious. My salad was full of good stuff. The person I was with had the same salad & the blackened tuna Panini. The Panini looked really, really good - a 1" thick tuna steak that was cooked medium as requested. For both lunches & a bottle of sparkling water the tab was $23 which is a great deal considering we both enjoyed our lunch. Service was prompt and friendly.

I've been here several more times and I'm still loving their lunch specials. Affordable with fast, friendly service. No complaints

This is just for the downstairs dancing. I've never eaten here so I don't know how the food is. But downstairs gives you more of a DC lounge/club feel, which I think is something that baltimore needs without having to wear heels. I had a lot of fun here. The people both guys and girls were friendly, the guys not as aggressive as new york which was a good thing and I hope it never gets like that! Good music, good times and fun people! really couldn't ask for more and I would definitely go back for more nights out!

Its amazing how much of this place the bar takes up - which makes for an interesting set up, great for having a drink with a friend. The feel of the place is an odd hybrid of new age and classic, at times charming but also clashing... after all, this is a hotel bar in the heart of fells point's hipster/high end area. The beer selection was limited, but what they did offer appeared to be really well selected- so kudos there. The bartender handed me a full menu ($20-$30 for most entrees) but then pointed out the happy hour menu (most items under 10 bucks) and recommended the personal pizza or the grilled calamari -I got both of those. The calamari was very fresh tender and enjoyable - a drizzle of balsamic vinegar was unexpected and pleasant. Next came the personal pizza. It was much larger than I expected - but the crush was under done leaving me feeling like I was scooping up a mound of cheese with a mushy crust. (The bartender did ask me how everything was, and I didn't complain - mostly because I was pretty hungry and pressed for time) There was also some live music going on by a pretty talented couple doing covers. It was a nice touch, but the "stage" area was below the bar, so I couldn't see much. This place does have a lot going for it - location, potential ambiance, friendly staff - but when something as simple as a personal pizza is so off, its hard to give my recommendation outright (thus three stars) - especially when its what the staff recommends. The happy hour is a great deal, so I will be back to try a few more things and hopefully bump up my rating a star (or two - who knows!)

If you only read one sentence from this review, let it be this: DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. In fact, cross the road if you need to walk by it so as to avoid the illogical, rude, and downright immature people who work here. My brother and I were visiting my sister in Baltimore and had walked by earlier in the day to check out their menu. We were excited about the Friday and Saturday happy hour deal (1pm-9pm, should have known then) for half price pitchers and pizzas. As it turns out, you have to order both to receive the deal, but that's the least of the issue here.. Our waiter started out very nice. We ordered our food and a pitcher of Boulevard Tank 7 and were all set to enjoy a nice night in Fell's Point. Then the trouble began. Our waiter (Steve) brought out a pitcher that was approximately half beer and half head. He halfheartedly apologized about the head but seemed incapable of actually doing anything about it. We took a sip and it was horrible. If you know anything about beer, you know that Tank 7 is a delicious saison/farmhouse ale/ What we had tasted so little like Tank 7 that we were curious if it was even the right beer. Steve stopped by a few minutes later and asked "How's the beer?" to which we replied with our concern. He said he was sorry and that he would check on it inside. In the meantime, we enjoyed the food (quite good, actually) and I stopped drinking the beer, it was that bad. Steve returned a bit later, commented on how fast we finished our food, and said nothing about the beer. It was pretty bizarre, but at this point we weren't too worried about it because it was half price, and we were ready to move on with our night. And then he brought the check. The charge (pre-deal) was $35 for the pitcher. Now, in the case that it was a full pitcher with the correct quality beer, $35 would have been completely acceptable. (It's a pricey beer.) However, we flagged him down to explain that it didn't really seem right that we were being charged for essentially 5 full beers at $7 each when in reality we were only able to pour less than 3 full beers given the amount of head. As we explained the situation, Steve became argumentative about the discrepancy. This was totally odd to us since there didn't seem to be anything confusing about our argument. We went on to explain that, based on the amount of beer we received, the full price would have been more along the lines of $12 per beer--a completely absurd price, particularly given the quality. Steve proceeded to give a completely off-the-wall explanation of "how bartenders measure pitchers" using hand measurements and 3/4 of a glass of ice. I personally have never heard of this and have no idea what ice has to do with a pitcher of beer. Although, if he put ice in the beer, that would come closer to explaining the poor quality. I digress. It got to the point that we asked to speak with a manager. Quite a while later, the manager came to our table with Steve in tow. The following exchange was even more ridiculous. The manager (Adam? Alex?) asked us what was going on, we explained, and then Steve jumped in only in order to be completely untruthful about how much beer was originally in the pitcher. The two employees began to talk back and forth about the situation, leaving us to sit there dumbfounded. They walked back inside, presumably to continue their conversation, without resolving the situation. So we waited some more. A few minutes later, Steve returned with the check, placed it on the table, and said "I'm really sorry, but there's nothing we can do for you." WHAT. IN. THE. WORLD. It is now three days later, and I'm still completely baffled about the entire thing. This place has no business being in the service industry until they can get it together. Unbelievable. Would give zero stars if I could.

We haven't been to Baltimore in a while, so we were excited to try out a restaurant for a great meal in Fells Point on a Sunday. A friend with us wanted to try Anastasia, so we stopped in despite the lack of only seeing one other table with people. Heads up, our server wasn't wearing any deodorant, so strong whiffs of B.O. hovered around our table every time she stopped by, even clouding the smell of our meals when they arrived. I'm guessing this is probably normal for Baltimore and the hippie type environment? We have all lived near very liberal colleges, but just a heads up for those who might have more of a gag reflex. We started off by ordering some mixed drinks and a beer which all ended up being great concoctions, the best part of the meal really. The lack of a kid's menu or the inability to make a smaller portion for the kiddos was not a big deal...my daughter alone has developed a great palate for a six year old and prefers sharing adult meals anyway. I ordered the steak sandwich but added marinara sauce so it wouldn't be too dry. My fiancé went with the crab soup and avocado caprese. Our friend ordered the chicken penne which was shared by my daughter and his son ordered the pancakes and fries. First of all, fries were awesome. Perfectly seasoned shoestring fries. The crab soup tasted like Campbell's tomato soup with old bay seasoning. The caprese was around $9 (??) and only included three pieces with dry, old tasting, gummy mozzarella. The steak sandwich came without the marinara, and she forgot to bring it after a reminder until I was about done. Waffles came out instead of pancakes, but she replaced them with pancakes as ordered...took a good amount of time to get the pancakes back though. The pasta wasn't bad. All in all the food wasn't worth the price or the wait. Plus side? The fries and drinks were delish. The menu wasn't anything special...and everything was pretty ordinary. We'll be trying a different restaurant next time...

This place was pretty decent. The server was nice, was training someone at the time and we were a party of six. Everyone enjoyed their food. Just speaking to what I had, the calamari appetizer was perfectly seasoned and the chicken panini was very good. I ordered the chicken penne pasta to-go for my boyfriend and it was the greasiest thing on this side of the country. He couldn't even eat it. I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad. Not sure if i'll return but if you're looking for decent food in Fells Point, you may want to check out this place.

I didn't quite know what to expect from anastasia...and somehow left feeling the same way.... Came by with a group of friends for drinks and dinner. The drink menu is all Italian wines (as expected) with some bubbly in there too, as well as a few select mixed drinks. The Anastasia drink (blood orange based) was sweet and thick, but not too fruity. The service was as expected still working out kinks. The server couldn't have been more apathetic, with no recommendations on food items and the line "I haven't tried any of those" was sadly used more than once. The dinner menu offers 4-5 choices of apps, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. The prices are reasonable ranging between $7-$12 mostly. We had the drunken appetizer which was a mix of grilled calamari and mussels. It was overly fishy (and this comes from someone who is mostly a pescetarian!) and I def wouldn't order it again. The chicken pesto sandwich was tasty but how good can a panini be? The Italian trip sandwich (classically served cold) was as described but nothing special. It could use some Italian herbs and a bit more sauce. The margherita pizza was huge (def the most bang for your buck) and nice and cheesy, more like a flatbread than a true pizza, with a very thin crust. The venue itself is very odd...has a huge bar and lounge area downstairs with a dj, and the upstairs looks like a spread out chaotic maze. I'm not sure what their marketing scheme is but the Italian menu pulls towards "home cooked food" while the venue is trying to be "modern" while it's actually a bit trashy." Overall I wouldn't make the effort to return but if I did, id probably go for the pizza or just drinks.

I WOULD RATE THIS PLACE A ZERO IF I COULD!!! Note to readers. BEWARE, FOOD IS MEDIOCRE AND OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY. SERVICE IS RUDE IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH WHATS PROVIDED. I visited on 8/28/15 and this was the most rude customer service I've ever experience and the food was horrible. I walked in for lunch and it was no one in there beside one guy drinking water. The hostess greeted me, I ordered and left. I opened my salad to find 4 dry, thin and slim slices of chicken and a bunch of over dressed romaine lettuce. I returned to ask for a refund because I couldn't wait due to my lunch time being over. The hostess flipped a switch and immediately became annoyed. She said well you ordered a chicken Cesar salad and that's what you got. She then proceed to tell me what in the salad as if I was too dumb to know. That was insulting. She proceed to say let me heck with Adam the manger first before refunding. I waited for 5 mins and a very sarcastic Adam said well next time if you want more chicken you need to ask. I replied well I'm a customer this is my first time here ... I didn't know you were serving this as your full size salad. He goes well it's only 8.99. I replied, why are you going back and forth with me .... I'm a customer and you being rude continuously cutting me off. He disregards me and decides to talk past me to his employees to say give her money. I said that the waiter can keep the tip and he said don't worry it's nothing. I said well here is your change and he replied we dont need it. MESSAGE TO THE OWNERS: ... If business is suffering you may want to take a long look into your customer service and if its not suffering Im sure it will eventually if things are not changed.. The funny thing is I would have kindly paid more, money is never an issue. However The rudeness of the staff was unbelievable in such a competitive location. You would think considering it was completely empty you would make this a priority. I have emailed my entire corporate office and let them know NOT TO DINE AT ANASTASIA's. You may only loose about 200 prospects but I guess that's nothing to you all. I will also be sure to spread the word as the manager Adam so sarcastically advised me to do so... PS. I went to BOP.

Went for happy hour with a group of 5 girls last night because it's 30% off drinks. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The drinks took forever and our waitress was very nice, but she was MIA. I think she had too many different tables and she was not knowledgeable on the menu. We were the only table in the bar area, and she was running downstairs and outside a lot. Perhaps the bartender should be in charge of the tables in the bar area when it is slow at the bar? Our waitress never asked us if we wanted a second round of drinks and we had to flag her down to get more. Then we watched for over 20 minutes while they sat on the bar. The worst part was that the bartender stood right next to them and drank water, and our hightop table was right next to the bar! There was also loud construction going on in the downstairs part of the restaurant that was grating and made it hard to hear. Lots of clanging and banging. I think they should have closed and then reopened when they were done. In addition, the chairs at the tables are all bar stools with no backs. They were not the most comfortable and there is nowhere to put your purse. No hooks on the bar, and no backs on the chairs. It was dark in there and all of the walls are red and the ceiling is black. Another weird thing was that the 1990s Sublime CD was playing from start to finish. I'm a fan, but that didn't seem to jive with the Italian-themed restaurant. The food was actually OK. I had the caprese panini. It was not terrible, but cold. The menu said "fire roasted tomatoes" and mine just had a raw tomato on it. The side salad it came with was the highlight. It has strawberries, nuts, blue cheese, etc. Overall, this place is very weird and I will never come back. I felt uncomfortable the whole time.

Ahh. I wanted to like this more than I did. The atmosphere is neat - sports car themed. If you appreciate cars you might really like it. It's got a lounge feel to it and a nice specialty cocktail list. I went for their pick two lunch special. I had a salad (Spinach/Egg/bacon aoli) and a panini (Panchetta/Mozz/Basil). They were served on a big ol'plate. I loved the salad, but thought the panini was only...meh. The house pinot grigio was decent, but nothing to shout home about. Service was a bit lackluster - they'd been very busy earlier in the day and were enjoying a bit of (more than likely) well-deserved chill catch-up time. I didn't get an offer to refill wine or water though. All in all it was a decent lunch. I hear the pastas are great. Maybe next time I'll try one of those and boost my rating with an update.

Stopped here for the nightlife here last weekend and it was okay. Pizza here is pretty good and bartenders were very nice to me and my lady friends. It's like a mix of casual, upscale, hipster, new age, and not so high end of people, but it is interesting to see everyone mesh together. It's a good place to socialize with different types of people, overall a nice place to hit on Thames!

This place is terrible. Same as the restaurant in the space before it, Meli- terrible. I would never have gone here if my friends hadn't decided upon it. First, our table was in a sequestered area off to the right, behind a wall and away from what would seem to be the main dining area. Bare white walls, small wobbly tables, flies and mosquitos hovering due to the open windows. Despite them being open, the air conditioning was blasting sub-zero temperatures! Ambiance- shot. Baltimore tap water tastes pretty good as far as tap water goes, but the glasses filled on our table tasted like it had come right out of a garden hose. Ick. Time for a beer to get rid of that taste. I ask our young waitress, Brooke, what imports are available. "Ummmm... we have a lot". Oh, I'll take a look at the menu if it's so extensive. Well, let me peruse this 12 beer list. Seriously? You can't memorize that? Or are you too distracted by the noise of the revelers at the bar, enjoying the World Cup to concentrate on rattling off a few? I ended up getting Moretti- which was cold and refreshing (thank goodness that didn't disappoint!) After waiting over 30 minutes for the food to arrive, I was very hungry and looking forward to the redemption of an Italian BLT (pancetta, lettuce, tomato, avocado). One bite and I discovered what was supposed to be pancetta was in actuality a mound of raw pork. I took it off and took another bite of my lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich.... but wait... avocado? I don't really see it or taste it much. Upon investigation, I notice a smidge of avocado, and it's brown and gray. Gross. For most of the group, they ordered individual pizzas, and didn't have complaints. Someone else got a tuna steak, which was the size of... well, jeez.. it was just an embarrassing piece of fish. Half the size of the bread it was on. As everyone finishes up their meals, only then does Brooke come by to grab our check. She should have come to our table minutes after we had received our food, so that she would know all was not as it should be. I asked her to remove my meal from the tab, which she did. She returned with the check, but did not return for a while. As some of our table was anxious to leave, I took our bill to the front to be taken care of. Any waitress 101 training will tell you the most important timing of a diner's evening is after you drop the bill. Usually, you enjoy time at a restaurant, but when it's over, you want to get out ASAP. I was disappointed in this place, however I kind of expected it. Beer for lunch might not sound bad to some people, but I want it to be a choice to have just a beer. If you are considering, please do not go. The staff seems slow, young and inexperienced. Obviously the kitchen staff is too (plus they need to get educated on Italian cuisine). The price you would pay here will get you a good meal somewhere else! I'm from Baltimore, I should know :)

Slow service, took 10 minutes for server to come to table after we were seated, more than 10 for her to come back with water and to let us know they were still "making our drinks" (two double scotches, 1 neat one rocks). The food was ok (crab cakes weren't what you would expect someplace in downtown Baltimore) but definitely overpriced for the quality. When the check came we were informed "the credit card machine and computers have been down all day, so we can only accept cash". Yes, there was an ATM half a block away, but that should've been brought to our attention before we ordered. I won't be going back, I don't recommend this place.

Terrible. We stopped here for late afternoon drinks and snacks while shopping in Fells Point on Thursday, July 18th. The outdoor area was quaint and welcoming. The drinks were poor. My wine sangria was the shortest pour I've ever encountered. I am not exaggerating that it only had 3 sips in the glass. I said something and nothing was done about it. Someone else in our party ordered a martini and said it was like KoolAid. My hubby got a bottled beer, can't ruin that! The 17 year old ordered a Shirley Temple and couldn't drink it. I thought she was being ridiculous and tasted it myself. It was terrible, very little cherry juice with club soda!?? What? It is suppose to mixed with sprite! We sent it back. They credited us for the Shirley. The waitress was nice, but powerless and openly complained that the bartender was terrible. We decided not to get any food because the whole thing was such a disappointment, and not cheap either! No one offered to make good on the situation. We refused to get negative, paid the bill and left. I took a picture of the sign out front and vowed to write this review once I arrived home. Advice: stay clear!

My friends and I visited on a whim and we were all pretty happy with our choice! Our service was incredible; with several different staff members checking up on us and our waitress was so sweet and always made sure our drinks were full. The food we ordered came really quickly and was pretty appetizing with huge servings. Would definitely revisit!

They seem to want to be classy with the no hat policy but yet let jeans, sneakers and less classy wardrobe to enter the place. Set some consistent standards then maybe I would consider it an attempt to be classy. You want class go see Red Maple in Mount Vernon better service, classy crowd and no one hassling you. With that being said it took forever the last two times I visited to get my drinks the bartender was too busy running back and forth from the bar to a larger party. Solution plan accordingly staff properly. Last thing I have to say is when I saw security hassling a veteran over wearing a hat with an American flag on it, I felt disgusted that they never asked please to remove the hat. Instead ordering to do so or else. Learn how to communicate with people first then try enforcing a standard that is truly legit. Like I said before no hats fine but then no jeans, sneakers and t shirts! Speak to people with respect and you will get respect. Stay classy Baltimore support your troops.

My husband and I took his parents here for dinner on Friday night a few weeks ago. It wasn't very busy when we arrived so we were seated quickly and our server was pretty fast. There was a festival going on down the street so it was very noisy but that had nothing to do with the restaurant. Our food was excellent. We got the Calamari as an appetizer and it was some of the best. I ordered the blackened Tuna dinner and it was delicious as well. It was a tad over cooked but I enjoyed it so I felt no need to complain. My biggest complaint was the Sangria. It was terrible. My husbands parents enjoyed their meals also. We would definitely go back.

The server we had was incredibly friendly and nice, so we were very satisfied with that. However, the food was pretty bad. I am sure just because of the location, this restaurant will still draw customers, but probably won't have a lot of repeat business. At least not from us. We stopped there on a Friday night for dinner and were really hoping to find a restaurant with some great food. Definitely not this one. My husband had part of a pepperoni pizza and said the only thing that made it ok was that it was greasy. He also had the penne with sausage and half of it was actually cold. I had the fettuccine and I am convinced that the "Alfredo sauce" was actually just cream. I had to dump an entire small gravy boat of grated Parmesan cheese onto it to give it enough flavor to keep eating. We won't eat here again. It is a shame, because the service was so good.

Visited this place on a Saturday night. I would have give this place 4 stars if our service was better for how large our group was, but I'm rating this place a 3 because of the service. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect for the price. I made reservations for a dual birthday party and our group was about 18 people. The GM moved us to the lounge area, which was nice, but with a group that big we were not all able to sit near each other or in a restaurant dining style. We ate our apps and dinner off of lounge-style coffee tables and were only given 1 server, who happened to be the bartender, to take care of our group. He was busy making drinks for dinners in the restaurant and hardly noticed when we needed refills or were ready to order our meals. I would go back, but definitely not with a group that big! We were not given a proper dinner dining experience.

I would give this place a 3.5 star rating. I was a fan of Meli, when it first opened, so I was excited about this new business venture from the Kali's Court team. Ambiance: Overall: chic, but the spacing is odd. There are three bars in this one restaurant. One at the main entrance, one in the main dining room, and then one in the lounge area downstairs. The best place to sit, seems to be at the main dining room bar since the tables in the dining room are very small and don't accomodate multiple plates. My partner and I sat at one of the high tops, and found it a bit uncomfortable. There was no where to hang jackets or purses; the seats are backless. I'm not a fan of sitting on my coat. Fortunately, we used an empty chair at another table to place our belongings. Food: We ordered a bunch of small plates. First came the beef tartar and drunken seas. Delicious! Then the bruschetta sampler, which was unfortunately lackluster. The tomatoes did not have much flavor. The pesto was barely discernable on two of the slices. Our last plate was an off-menu item - a small lamp chop plate. The lamp chops were wonderful, perfectly seasoned and cooked! Overall, the majority of the dishes were a success. Service: There were some hiccups, but I attribute this to the newness of the place. The server was personable and tried her best to meet our needs. I would definitley give this place another try in a month or two.

I made reservations here for my birthday for a group of 14. I was really nervous because of the reviews but I booked last minute and could not get reservations anywhere else in fells. The day of, I received a phone call confirming my reservation, then later received another phone call from the manager. I was nervous they were cancelling but she actually asked if she could send me a picture of the setup they were planning to have. The setup was perfect so I agreed and when we got there it was actually better in person. We had a small bar area and our own bartender, so she was fully attentive. Everyone was happy with their drinks, appetizers and food. The pizza was amazing! I had pasta and it was pretty good, it could have used more sauce but that was literally my only complaint all night. After dinner they cut the cake my friends brought, gave us all free champagne and then the manager gave me a birthday card with a promotional gift card. I seriously was impressed with the way they went above and beyond.

If I could, I would rate it 0 stars. Worst experience with my boyfriend. Food was not bad but service was really bad. Not only did the waiter complain TO US that it was a busy/hectic night but he took forever to bring anything to our table starting off with water, alcoholic beverage that we ordered, appetizer, and food. We had the worst night here and never will be coming back. I understand that one waiter had 4-5 tables but that's his fault. If he cannot handle 5 tables at once in one night then don't serve up to 5 tables and complain to your customers about your night. My water was not refilled and I wanted ketchup with my fires but ended up getting none and didn't even get the hot sauce I asked for either. Ended up eating my food plain. Worst service/restaurant. Not recommended.

Went in for a drink with the husband and another couple on friday, and had a wonderful experience. We ended up getting a few apps (bruscetta and fried callimari), both excellent reccomendations. Food did take a while, but the bartenders were super nice, appologized and made up for the food lag in entertainment 5 times over. The boys got some beers on reccomendation and loved them, the girlfriend and i both got something called the berrydropper, which was almost impossible to limit myself to only 2 of! Super happy we took the plunge, broke our routine, and finally went in. Will be frequenting Anastasia for sure!

Disclaimer: We only came in for drinks after 9pm on a Saturday night. With that said, the space is still an odd one. The upstairs bar and surrounding tables are cool, but get packed quickly at times. We arrived early enough to snag a cool kick butt section in the back of the lounge area downstairs, which was like an alcove. It easily seated the 7 of us, and we chitchatted while the music pumped out in the main lounge area where the DJ was. The bar downstairs seemed to get overwhelmed easily, so I found that running upstairs was considerably faster. The place got crowded by 11pm with folks dancing to the DJ's tunes and getting comfortably liquored up. This place wants to be swanky, bringing in the 20-something crowd. Even though we aren't in our 20s, we enjoyed the lounge feel, the ability to sit and chat but still be near the action, and the delicate lighting that made the place feel homey at times. Restrooms were downstairs and confusing as you pass the wash sink station (which is used by the guys and the girls) to go to the gender-based toilet rooms. A couple of hours in, a toilet in the ladies room was overflowing, and both soap and paper towels were absent from the wash station. A minor thing.. but they needed to have someone checking down there on the busier nights. My only beef was that they had one kind of domestic beer and it ran out quickly, so they substituted Amstel Light. And it was SKUNKED. I had to return 3 different bottles of beer and finally begged the bartender to just serve me something other than Amstel as I was convinced that the whole lot of it was bad. She accommodated me and also agreed that not having more domestics was a problem, she was noticing. So taste your beer before you walk away :) The other drinks were just fine... and the lounge would be something we'd love to rent out for a night with friends to get down and have fun. We may return for a bite to eat another day.

I went to this restaurant during the World Cup and had a nice experience. We sat at one of the pub style seating areas and were able to enjoy the game while having a nice meal. Lots of local cuisine and Italian foods. The ravioli is quite delightful. Service was impressive-- our food arrived promptly, waiter was very attentive, and the prices were reasonable. While I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience, I found the low lighting to be a downside when it came to reading the menus. I am also not a huge fan of their seating arrangements. The layout is odd and the seats are uncomfortable. Overall, I am satisfied with this restaurant!

If you're looking for a place to eat and get drinks in Baltimore this is NOT it. It doesn't have that "Baltimore feel", no one seams to care, and the food is pedestrian at best. Not to mention the fruit flys I have to keep swatting while I'm at the bar. I wouldn't ever step foot in this establishment again unless I was in dire need of a restroom.

I'm rating this place on drinks and service alone for we did not order food. After walking around the Privateer Festival, my fiance and I wanted to sit down out of the sun and enjoy some drinks in a non crowded bar. We decided upon Anastasia's mainly because there was hardly anyone in there. The ambiance is very sleek, sophisticated, and modern. It has a different vibe than the other Fell's Point bars which is a nice change of pace, in my opinion. The food menu looked good but we were there to enjoy a few drinks. They have a great Happy Hour special (even on weekends) where it's 20% off all drinks. I think that's a great deal. I ordered a couple of the specialty cocktails and my fiance kept it simple with jack and cokes. My two (or was it three :) ) drinks were delicious. The bartender(s) were helpful, friendly and knew how to make a great drink. I hope this great service is carried through even during their peak hours. I would like to come back for dinner and/or see how it is at night when the downstairs turns into a club. As I mentioned before, this establishment is different from the other bars/restaurants in Fell's. This could either be its curse or its blessing. We shall see.

I really like the feel of this place with its Vespa and Ferrari posters on the walls it has a great bar that takes the center space. The real surprise was the food. It was really good! Sandwiches, pizza and main course fish and salads were all well prepared, very short wait time and well priced. I left relaxed, and feeling good about my dining experience. Friendly staff topped it off. I am adding this restaurant to my list of regularly visited locations!

The food was delicious. Service was excellent. However the restaurant missed being exceptional because of small portions and lack of attention to food detail. We ordered a delicious salad, it did not come with any bread which is not put on tables. Dinner portions were small and not totally filling. Dessert choices limited. Location is great and outdoor eating option is fantastic.

Had the opportunity to visit Anastasia's last night for Karaoke night. I had a fantastic time!!! I was very impressed by my waitress Adela who took her time to make sure I had a drink in my hand and food on my table. She was very attentive and a reflection of the establishment. The flat bread pizza was delish. Ron

If I could give zero stars I would. This establishment is one of the biggest jokes and should be ashamed to call themselves a restaurant. Ordered drinks and appetizers that never came. They gave a party of 8, 1 menu. I have never been so infuriated by a restaurant in my life. We ended up leaving after 40 minutes of not receiving anything we ordered. Never go to this restaurant unless....... There is no reason to ever come here.

My date and I were looking for a place to just have a few drinks. We saw that Anastasia was opened and decided to give it a shot. My date and I proceeded to make our way to the unpacked bar. As we proceeded to sit down at the bar the female bartender on duty says, " Do you guys wanna a grab a table?" Puzzled, my date and I look at each other, because a bartender has never asked neither of us if we would prefer to sit at a table rather than the bar. Isn't that the hostess job? We told the lady who was bartending that night we prefer to sit at the bar instead of the table. That's when she stated that there was a "private party going on, and people reserved our seats at the bar. Confused, because there were about two additional people at the bar, I then repeated to her "there is a private party happening at this particular bar where we are sitting?" She looked confused and completely became annoyed and started to point at the tables away from the bar and said "well I mean you can sit at one of those tables." I asked her if she was the only person bartending that night, because to be honest her behavior was extremely rude and came off completely unwelcoming. I also did not feel comfortable with her serving us our drinks. As she told us that she was the only bartender that night, my date and I started to look at each other because as an occupant you could not tell if there was actually a "party" going to happen or perhaps this bartender was making up a complete lie. I know when I've been to bars in the past lounges are not occupied for "private parties. Bars specifically the bar/lounge area is for the general public unless Anastasia operates differently. Annoyed and frustrated that we were not moving, the bartender then says abruptly "Never mind what can I get you all to drink?" My date and I decided to not put an order in for any drinks or food and left Anastasia to go to another local bar in Fells Point. The bartender that night was rude, and I will never visit Anastasia again. There are several other bars in Fells Point that have more of a welcoming atmosphere. If the bartender did not want to serve us she should have said that instead of making up a lie that there was a "party" going on and that the seats my date and I were sitting in were indeed reserved. I will not be coming back to this bar again. Hopefully in the future they will have a much friendlier non-judgmental staff.

Food mediocre at best. Steak did not have much flavor. Vegetables that accompanied it were bland. Lots of good places to eat in Fells. Better off going elsewhere.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
