Felt compelled to write a review after my first experience at Zoe's. I was traveling for work and in the area there are plenty of well rated restaurants to chose from. Looking for something healthier, I went with Zoe's. I called in my order to pick up and the gentleman on the phone could not have been more friendly. When I asked if I was able to swap the rice that came with the chicken kabobs for roasted veggies instead, it wasn't a problem at all. When I arrived to pick up my food the woman taking orders was extremely friendly and very sweet. Now to the food- I got the hummus trio which was very good and came with both pitas and fresh vegetables. The Basil hummus was the best! Also available are wheat pitas which is a nice option. I had the chicken orzo soup, very good. The chicken kabobs came with an excellent Greek salad and the roasted vegetables that I asked for instead of the rice were excellent. The chicken on the kabobs was a tad dry, but I think that could have been due to it being a pick up order and not eaten immediately. All this, including a drink for $23, which I think is reasonable. All in all, I was extremely happy with the quality (and quantity) of the food. The little bit of interaction that I had with the staff was excellent and I can't wait to come back to this place the next time I'm in the area. Kudos to whoever is running this place and thank you to the staff!

Zoe's Kitchen is the bomb.com . I came here this past Sunday with the fam with no real expectations! I know this location has been here for a couple of years but stupid me can sometimes be closed minded and not open to try to new places. Definitely plenty of room to relax and eat. I've been to expensive restaurants that were smaller than this place. The food was Grade A for Mediterranean "fast food". I strongly recommend the Hummus for starter, had a lemon flavor to it. My wife's salad was so big she said she could have shared it with 2 other people. I opted for the Chicken Salad sandwich. It was huge like something I would have got at a Deli Shop. The employees were nice and engaging in conversation throughout our experience. They even bring the food to your table. Prices were typical of the Annapolis area. Also, they sell one of the best chocolate chunk cookies I have ever had. Crap, I should have taken a picture! Quality food + great ambiance+ great customer service= many return trips for Me, Wifey, and Mini-me!

I've been here twice with my family and I've enjoyed it each time. I got the steak roll ups the first time but I wasn't impressed. The second time I got a chicken salad sandwich and it was really good! Zoe's made me like hummus for the first time! I'll definitely go back!!!

Not what we expected, but good. More of a chain restaurant. The cashier was extremely rude and we almost walked out because of it. The food itself was decent...

One Liner: Fresh Mediterranean food served in a fast food-ish environment at Annapolis Town Centre. Zoes Kitchen definitely has some great, fresh Mediterranean food including salads, pita sandwiches and kabobs. Although this is located at the often hectic ATC, its at the Riva Road end of the shopping center and has its own parking lot so you won't need to fight for a garage spot. At Zoes you order att he counter and they bring it out to your table or wrap it to go. For those who prefer to dine in, you have your choice of sitting inside or heading out to the patio. On my recent visit to Zoes I had the Tobouli Salad with chicken and it was excellent. There were a lot of fresh herbs and flavors, like lemon in that salad. It was very refreshing and flavorful. As a Diet Coke enthusiast, I was glad to see they offer Coca-Cola products. The staff here was friendly and the resturant was clean.

In the area during a business trip and decide to stop-in for lunch. I order the chicken roll-up w/ a side of their red pepper house made hummus. Both items were very good. Lots of healthy choices on the menu, great alternative for a road-warrior always on the go and needing a quick lunch. Prices were reasonable for the food that they provide.

Recently, I have taken up small time investing (to get rid of my urge to indulge in small time gambling). So every night, I have been watching Mad Money. I have heard Jim Cramer talk about this fast casual southern organic restaurant as one of the up and comers in the healthy food space but I had never seen one (I figured it was a New York thing). So when driving to Annapolis and seeing this off of U.S. 50, I had to try it. Would I invest in this place as having a bright future with their East Coast expansion? Maybe. The place did seem pretty busy for being in a strip mall with lots of dining choices for sure. But the food, while adequate, did not leave me wanting to be a repeat customer. It was too expensive for what is provided by and large. Their menu is definitely on the healthy side. But it was also pretty meaty. They, like so many other fast casual restaurants, label all of their vegetarian and vegan choices but, unlike so many others of their ilk, this place only has one vegetarian main. My lady and I ended up splitting their three hummus appetizer and each getting a side. I got their mayonnaiseless potato salad, which was still pretty delicious, and she got a tomato bisque. Both were about $3 which felt a bit pricey for a side. They were about the size of a Kentucky Fried Chicken container. As far as the three hummus appetizer went, it was definitely a full meal (and priced like one). The plate of three hummuses, a regular, a pesto, and a spicy, came packed with pita, pita chips, and dipping vegetables. I found the spicy hummus vaguely unpleasant but the other two were delicious. All in all, I found it worth my pocket money but not worth my mad money. If you catch my drift.

Absolutely delicious, the spinach roll ups was so delicious and full filling and it come with a side. Zoe also gives a lot of food so it's just enough...also the hibiscus tea was delicious...staff was friendly and prompt.

Fresh, tasty and flavorful are just a few words to describe Zoe's. I had the turkey stack sandwich and the chicken orzo soup and they were both delicious. It reminds me of Panera, but with a Mediterranean twist. Zoe's has several healthy and fresh options on the menu, from sandwiches, soups, salads, hummus and potato salad, to name a few. It is a bit pricey for my liking, but the fact that it taste so fresh is worth it. I've noticed that the casual dining restaurants around town seem to be priced around the same. So it's pretty equivalent to Panera's pricing and I'm sure if it's a group, it could be a little more pricey. The staff I encountered was very friendly and the restaurant seemed to be really clean and colorful. I tend to eat lighter in the summer, so this seems like this would be the perfect place to come for something light, but fulfilling. You can take-out, dine in and they seem to have café tables on the outside. Seeing as though the temperature was below zero when I came, no one was sitting there. LOL! All and all, it was a pretty cool experience and a change from my normal lunch options. I'll be back soon to try out some more food options available.

Super fresh ingredients that are light yet filling is why I love this place for a quick lunch. I generally get one of Chicken Pitas with fruit. There are two thin chicken breasts stuffed in there that are juicy and well seasoned. The fruit is always good and varies based on the season, so you never get rock hard fruit with no flavor. The customer service is great whether I call or come in to order.

Great food for your money! I got the Gruben, a grilled turkey reuben and a side Greek salad. It wasn't expensive and was so much food. The sandwich was delicious, I highly recommend it. It's a great quick, pretty light bite that won't set you back too much money.

It's so great to have vegan friendly food for lunch! The potato salad and hummus are amazing! Highly recommend.

It's an ok place nothing id rave about and funny thing next door too them is a place (forgot the name) all they do is salads. So honestly I think this place is over priced for what I got which was $8.99 but total was $11.79?! Ok well it's chicken salad w/fruit plate & comes with pita bread slices. Chicken salad needed more salt, I didn't like the oil sauce that came with it, so I had it to go, and used ceaser dressing instead. I was very hungry since we been on the boat all morning, came here for lunch, and I wasn't impressed at all.

I absolutely love this place!!! Highlights: - Friendly, helpful and informative customer service. Veronica is the best!!! - Consistent high quality food. Perfect seasoning, portion size and sides. Both my girlfriend and I are fans of their chicken kabobs. -Just had my first taste of limeade and I'm sold. Only thing better.. Corona, but I have to work soooo yeah

Excellent food choices. We need more of this style of fast food eating. Terrific soup, salad and grilled chicken. Staff a little overwhelmed and cleaning tables was slow.

I work a couple doors down from zoës kitchen & never even batted an eye to eat there , except one day where I wanted to try something new. At first I would stop in frequently just for the chocolate cake so much so that the staff started to know me by face & name haha. But then I began to branch out and tried the egg salad sandwich with potato salad , DELICIOUS :) !!! It was also very interesting to have potato salad where no mayo was used. On my second visit I tried the steak stack !!!! Lord have mercy Jesus that thang was JUMPING!!! I could've had two. It's so weird that we don't have more of these spread around Maryland , because everybody needs to try zoës at least ONCE in life

SECOND HELPING. It took me a few visits and a look at their nutritional information before we became real fans of Zoe's. The tomato soup is awesome and if correct, low calorie too. We love the Gruben and not many places you can find pimento cheese sandwiches. If you are watching the calories avoid the chicken salad sandwich and if you do tuna, get the Mediterranean version. Looks like Beer and Wine might be in the works, hope so it would make it more of a dinner destination.

Had never heard of Zoe's upon entering but was definitely impressed when I left! Will definitely be back. Lots of fresh, healthy choices. Strong Greek/Mediterranean influence. I ordered the spinach roll ups with a side of potato salad. The boyfriend ordered a turkey sandwich with pasta salad. We shared a bowl of chicken orzo soup and I had a hibiscus green tea to drink. The manager took our order, he was very patient with us as we stared doe eyed at the menu options. He asked if it was our first visit and when we said yes, he threw in an order of pita and hummus to try! He was very nice, as was the cashier on duty. The manager made it a point to inform us that everything down to the dressings and the frosting on the brownies were all made on location, in that very store. We were very happy to hear this tidbit of info! There were also some delicious desserts (giant cookie, moist brownies, etc) tempting us at the register but we decided to pass on this trip. Def will try next time! After ordering, we grabbed some drinks and utensils and headed to the outdoor patio which was quiet and quaint. The manager hand delivered our complimentary warm, fresh pita and hummus and minutes later, the cashier followed with the rest of our food. Great teamwork guys! Everything tasted soooo good! Not one item disappointed us. My fave was the spinach roll ups. One bite and I was in heaven...took the bite, made eye contact with the bf and he know then that I just had a great foodgasm. He was def interested in trying some of my awesome rolls ups...I decided to be nice and share. Will def be back for those!! Maybe next time I'll add chicken. My potato salad was great, not the traditional American mayo based kind...more of a very tender, flavorful olive oil based kind. Delish! There were these house made vinaigrettes on all the tables which I'm curious to try next time if I order a salad. So many other items on the menu that I'm looking forward to trying as well. I washed all the food down with some delicious hibiscus green tea, so yummy! We then sat and relaxed on the private spacious patio to digest a bit before we wobbled out of there with our food babies!

Love this place for lunches! I usually get a Greek salad and hummus - both really fresh. And I like that I can get cucumbers with the hummus instead of pita bread. They make their very delicious Greek dressing in house. And the staff is pleasant to interact with. I also really like that I can pre-order online and just swing by to grab my lunch on busy days. I will say that Zoe's should consider a separate line or counter for those that are just picking up takeout like most high volume lunch joints. That's my only beef with this place is standing in line just to grab my takeout...

Always get the spinach roll with chicken. Fresh and good. Oh the hibiscus tea Is so wonderful.

I like Zoe's, there is something about it which draws my attention to it -- maybe it's the nice colorful sign, or the fresh greek inspired menu. Their house salad dressing, which is made daily, has to be some of the best i've had in the area. I tried a chicken kabob, the chicken was perfectly cooked and accompanied by fresh tomato, and a greek salad. No complaints here, spiced well, slightly pricey but that comes with the shopping center. Free wifi, and outdoor seating. Oh, and they do cater. 4 stars!

A noble effort to have quick and healthy food, but the result wasn't good enough to give it another try. The meals (on the same order) were served over a 20 minute span, which is one of my personal pet peeves. We had soup, salad, and sandwiches and none in particular stood out. The oddest thing was their marketing of a burger in the front window that wasn't even on the menu. It turned out they sold the cheese that went on the burger, but didn't actually make burgers. I thought that was a deceptive thing to do, considering that was why we decided to dine here in the first place.

We love this place. Excellent, fresh food for a reasonable price. If you need something quicker than a traditional sit down resturant but don't want a fast food joint, this is perfect. If you're tired of the same old Chipotle/Panera/sub shop than give this place a try. There are so many food options in this area and I still find myself coming back for Zoe's. The employees are great, specifically Veronica. She was so nice, helpful and funny. She put our experience over the top today. Every resturant needs a person like her.

I love Zoe's! My friends and I meet here maybe once a month and we have gotten take out many many times! Lots of really good vegan and vegetarian selections on the menu, which is why it is one of my new go-to places. I've had the veggie kabobs, the hummus, the greek salad and the spinach wraps - all excellent. The inside is casual but nice with a cafe kind of vibe.

Hadn't heard of Zoe's before walking in with my family. It is healthier fare menu that has lots of flavor. Everyone in my group was impressed with the flavor in the Gruben was amazing and the fresh sides they offer were a great compliment. In the end the meal cost the same as a McDonalds meal, tasted better and was healthier for you. Definitely worth a try.

The Zoe's in annapolis serves fresh, delicious food. The pizza sauce on the pita pizza tastes like its home made and the white beans w rosemary is the perfect consistency and perfectly seasoned. Even w so many other choices in this center, I always end up here. A nice bonus is the people who work here, nice as the food is great!

Really really enjoyed this place. Hit it up last Friday night for a quick bite. It's counter style which usually isn't my favorite but I wasn't in the mood to deal with a sit down restaurant. They were VERY friendly and helpful. I ordered the Spinach Roll ups which were great! My friend wasn't too hungry so they had the Pita and Hummus which was tasty as well. They have lots of different options and their fresh "sides" were so good. I tried the Potato salad this time, and love that their salads - pasta, potato, chicken etc. are not made with mayo. I am NOT a mayo fan. THey use their Greek Dressing!! Loved it. Signed up for their Email list and i got a free Travel Cup! NICE :) They will soon offer glasses, bottles of wine and beer! (Their liq license didn't come through yet) which was a let down, but we survived :) WIsh I worked in Annapolis, this would def be my go-to lunch spot!

LOVE ZOES! BUt it was cold in there! They could turn down the A/C a notch. Oh and I give it five stars as a lunch location - I would not go out of my way to eat dinner here, just not ... dinnery. The food was fresh, healthy and there were lots of things this vegetarian could eat from the main menu - it was a nice change to the rest of main stream. I had the 1/2 and 1/2 where i selected a small greek salad and half an egg salad sandwich on 7-grain. It was great. I also ordered a side of white beans with rosemary - it was just awesome. Baby Gus ate the three pieces of pita slices the served with my dish with the white beans. The food was just great and I look forward to going back and trying their hummus platter and maybe the potato salad. YUM!

Love the food options here and the Limade. Its a good alternative to those other fast food choices and restaurant nearby.

    (5)
  • Christy F.

Not great. I got the veggie kabob platter and a limeade. The limeade was delicious, not too sweet, not too tart. But the veggie kabobs were a big disappointment since they were simply the vegetables grilled a bit on a stick -- no seasoning!!! I could not believe it. The rosemary white beans were very tasty but the "greek" salad really had nothing greek about it (like feta or olives). It was simply lettuce with a simple oil & vinegar dressing. I tasted a friend's chicken salad and it tasted like it came from canned chicken (it was shredded, not chunky) and had way to much mayo in it. I had been excited about this place as a healthy alternative quick lunch spot but I don't think I'll be going back.

Gave Zoës Kitchen two tries and doubt I'll give them a third strike. The Mediterranean menu lured us in, but Zoës failed to deliver the flavor that should go with it. Of the four meals my friend and I had there, we found them to be bland, lacking even the basic spices. Great concept and something Annapolis needs, but the food needs a lot of work.

The quinoa salad with shrimp is so good! Everything is fresh and the staff is always friendly!

I came in looking for beef kabobs, so I ordered beef kabobs. Were they what I was expecting? No. For some odd reason I was expecting Afghan type kabobs, boy was I wrong, I should have listened to my gut when I asked what the kabobs came with and the young lady said "potatoes & vegetables" instead of the traditional rice, salad & flat bread.... the food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I can see why vegans would enjoy this place, the food is tasty but it left something to be desired, I walked out still hungry and unsatisfied with my meal which I might add ran $16.00 with a drink. A bit on the expensive end considering what they're giving you. Not bashing the place cause the service was good and the staff was very friendly, just not somewhere ill be coming back unfortunately.

  • J S.

My real estate group works across the street and this easily one of our favorite spots! The staff is friendly, the food is always fresh and consistent. The chicken Kabob is the way to go! Two decent sized skewers with chicken and veggies, rice and a greek salad for nine bucks! Put it on your list!

Love the chicken pita and the service is really good. The people here are very kind. I have come in a real hurry and food was ready within a few minutes. Also nice to eat outside when the weather permits.

Stopped into Zoe's for a quick lunch today with my mom. Menu has a soup, salad, sandwich feel to it with a greek/mediterranean feel to it. Zoe's is the type of place where you order at the counter, sit down, and they bring your food out in a few minutes. I ordered the greek chicken pita and a cup of chicken orzo soup. My mom ordered a Grilled Shrimp Salad. Both were quite tasty and well prepared. The chicken pita was filling and came with baked lays (by choice). The soup came out hot albeit after the sandwich. My mom's salad was very good. The shrimp were cooked well and the zucchini had good flavor too. All in all Zoe's was a good experience for the first time. It is clearly a place to shoot in for a quick lunch or easy dinner and certainly not a destination for a foodie. It does however offer a different take on flavors as opposed to other similar places like Panera Bread.

On my third trip had the STEAK KABOBS w/ROASTED POTATOES and GRILLED VEGGIES. The kabobs had an amazing flavor from the sauce...sweet, charred, tangy. Highly recommended!

This is my go-to spot for a quick and healthy lunch in Annapolis! Everything I've tried from Zoe's has been fresh, delicious, and tastes homemade, My FAVORITE thing about Zoe's?? No MAYO in the pasta salad! They use their own Greek dressing w/ feta cheese instead of mayo and I'm a big fan. My 3 yr old has even liked everything he's tried from Zoe's as well. They have a pretty diverse menu and offer a wide variety of options from a regular entree sized meal to more of a snack sized portion.

Zoe's Kitchen is wonderful! Fresh, delicious whole grain breads, pasta salads, sandwiches and salads in a modern, colorful environment. I have eaten there twice and it has been great. The homemade limeade is a real treat and the egg salad is very fresh! The staff was very polite and responsive. The hibiscus iced tea is a wonderful alternative to plain or sweet iced tea. I recommend Zoe's if you enjoy fresh food with a twist!

I have to say that I do not understand the tepid reviews. This place is great and just what Annapolis needs--fast fresh, high quality from scratch with some nice vegan options. I have to confess to being about as far from a healthy eater as you can get so I was shocked when told that the dipping sauce for my steak wrap was made with yogurt. Wow, anyone who can make a delicious sauce from yogurt has my vote! And the steak was tender, juicy with rare and wonderful carmelized onions. yum. The tomato bisque was delicious while still tasting healthier than the usual heavy cream version (which of course I love despite its artery clogging ingredients--hey I'm a foodie all the way.) However, I suggest leaving off the shreds of cheese on top--they add nothing except unnecessary fat and calories. And the limeade was dee--licious! On my next visit I had chicken kabobs which were really good but would have been even better with a soysauce based dipping sauce. The rice was very nice and the side salad yummy. They keep a jar of dressing on the table so you can add more if you like, which of course I did. Finally, the piece of chocolate sheet cake was a perfect sweet ending and for only a little over two bucks quite a deal. The restaurant is clean and bright with plenty of tables and there is an outside eating patio as well. The staff are super--they stopped by the table a few times to check on us. I am a big fan and will go back often.

Very good choice for nutritional and health conscious patrons. Dining Area isn't very warm and inviting but contemporary and well designed.... "semi- fast food" atmosphere similar to a Noodles, Chipotle . Pricing is very reasonable for a more healthy alternative than sandwiches and burgers . Highly recommend for catering a local luncheon. We used them recently for an in-house conference and everyone enjoyed the cuisine . Well prepared and a great presentation .

Very fresh and fun. The food was prepared to order and the lettace was crisp and fresh. Great hummus (house made). Maybe a tad pricey for what you gte, but still very good.

Fast and friendly service! Food was great! The steak roll-ups are definitely worth trying!!!! It was like a philly cheesesteak wrapped up in a thick tender-crisp flatbread. Also had the spinach feta roll-up with chicken. Very good as well! Hummus was good, but I've had better from other places. The only downside was the limeade. It tasted off, but it wasn't bad. I make limeade at home and the ones here tasted funny. Other than that, I'm definitely coming back to try their other menu items!

Was it bad - NO, was it good - NO - it was OK. First time here for lunch and the menu look good but I was not blown away. It was OK but I don't think I would be in a hurry to go back -

Went here for a quick lunch before shopping. My gf and I split a chicken and slaw pita sandwich with a side of potato salad. It was refreshing to have a sandwich that tasted healthy. It was not greasy or heavy, however it could've used a bit of salt. The limeade was really good, especially for spring and summer. I can see myself hitting Zoes Kitchen up for a midday meal when I'm out and about.

This is a new quick-serve restaurant that opened in the outskirts of the Parole shopping center. The menu seems mostly Greek, with an emphasis on fresh preparation and real foods - a popular concept today. The menu is also peppered with a few southern influenced dishes, like a grilled pimento cheese sandwich, which didn't really make sense to me. The menu encourages, for the most part, fresh and reasonably healthy eating including lean proteins and fresh vegetables. The dining room is clean and colorful - a pleasant quick serve atmosphere. On paper, this restaurant has a lot going for it. Our experiences, however, were mixed - potentially because of how new the restaurant is. I went with a party of 4 and we all enjoyed an entree and we got a grilled pimento cheese sandwich for the table. It was probably the least palatable dish, as the bread was griddled but the cheese wasn't melted. They also left the lettuce in the sandwich, which is awkward for a grilled sandwich. That said, it could have been interesting had it been executed well. It came with a side of pasta salad, which was basically pasta shells with greek salad dressing and feta cheese. Meh. My meal was called a protein plate - consisting of one grilled chicken breast and a portion of cole slaw the size of the dinner plate. The chicken was ok and the cole slaw was fresh, though I personally felt the proportions were a bit off (more chicken, less cole slaw). The other 3 dishes, including kabobs, a greek salad, and chicken roll ups, were all genuinely enjoyed. All of the food was fresh and was brought out quickly. Nothing stood out as being fantastic, but it was a very good alternative to quick serve or fast food. Bottom line, I'd try it again, maybe for the kabobs which looked the best. Now that I've been, I think I know what to pick and chose off that menu. I'd encourage a visit - especially when Parole is packed and you want something different to try.

Food was GREAT had the chicken kabob with a side Greek salad, the salad was the best I have had! Maybe the dressing they make there but I went back two days later to just get the greek salad so when ever I am in the mood for a salad I will be heading there!!!

Zoës has become a favorite of mine since it opened (I think the summer of '11). My favorite - and usual - is their Greek salad. Fresh greens, lots of feta, tomato, etc., with a surprise of tasty redskin potato salad in the basement. Quite a treat. Menu is an odd combination of healthy mediterranean style food. Can't really call it Greek... it's kind of a southern interpretation of Greek. The chain is based in Birmingham, AL.

    (4)
  • Howard R.

The people were nice enough, but the food was bland and overpriced for the portion size. The albacore pocket sandwich sounded appetizing enough but the pita was stuff mostly with lettuce and not very flavorful. The hummus had a nice texture but was lacking in any character from a taste standpoint. For the $16 spent on a sandwich, drink and some hummus, I'd rather go to a restaurant that serves real Greek/Mediterranean food, of which there are already several locally. The idea is cool enough, but once you analyze it, it's just another formulaic restaurant amongst a variety of identical concepts in town.

  • John C.

The future of fast casual? Nice place with a Greek/ Mediterranean vibe (and a few additional curveballs). Menu looked both appetizing and healthy - a too rare combo. One order of the Mediterranean tuna with grilled vegetables was good as were the chicken rollups (Greek/Tex-Mex hybrid). Favorite was the side of braised white beans with rosemary....sitting outside it seemed a bit like the south of France. Also, nice atmosphere. Seemed a little bit rough as they just opened and didn't have their beer & wine license yet (good selection of fresh ice teas though). We'll have to see how it stacks up againt Lebanese taverna Café.
