I really enjoyed my time here. I went the night of my brother's graduation from the Naval Academy after getting some drinks at the nearby Federal House. This place is a bit confusing to get around if it's your first time, but once you work your way around it, it's a lot of fun. The DJ was decent, but I did enjoy the free Natty Bohemian right before we went onto the dance floor. I got a reasonably priced whiskey sour and took a swig of the painkiller, which I thought was pretty disgusting and left a bad taste in my mouth. I really liked the view from the dock in the back - there were plenty of people eating and drinking and I had a few cigs. I can't speak to what Pusser's is like during the weekday or in general, but definitely hit this place up if you are going out in Downtown Annapolis!

This is normally the first place I take an out of towner when visiting Annapolis because I love the outdoor seating area on the Annapolis Waterfront! The view is great, the service is good, and the food isn't terrible, though not really amazing either. It's in a good location and parking is a little easier if you're looking for free parking because it's not right smack dab in the middle of the main streets. This is also a great spot to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night in the spring/summer. Grab a refreshing drink and enjoy watching the boats come in and out of the dock!

Such a shame that a restaurant in such a beautiful location is run so poorly. I went for happy hour and was told to go outside to the bar area because we just intended to do drinks and apps. While waiting for a table we grabbed 2 orange crushes, which were 3.80 each. When we grabbed our table we asked about happy hour apps which we were told the happy hour price was only applied inside.... So we looked past that and got 6 more orange crushes. Our waitress came back to tell us these were apparently not happy hour, but she talked to her manager to see if he could do something. 5 minutes later a young man came over and said there was NOTHING he could do and when we told him our previous price he just stood there looking like an idiot... To me that is bullshit and happy hour ended up being not at all reasonably priced. Oh and not to mention we got crab dip and nachos....asked for more bread...$2.50...more chips $3....so they went to waste. Needless to say HIRE NEW MANAGEMENT this guy clearly had no idea what he was doing and did not make sure that the guests in his restaurant were satisfied. If I ever go back and he is still there I will be shocked and disappointed.

First off, it's called Pussers, which made me want to wear a purple fur coat with a top hat so I could be the main pimp in the place. Pussers is indeed their rail rum, so if you like your rum as much as I do, you'll love this place. Second, their signature drink can be ordered with up to three (maybe four!) shots of alcohol in it. Remember, you're right on the water to make sure to wear your swimmies in case you fall in once you can't stand up any longer. Third, I expected the food to be mediocre; it's a restaurant attached to a hotel in a super touristy place. MAN, this place proved me wrong! Everything from the salad to the dessert was fantastic. Protip: If you want to sit outside, get there a little before dinner time and grab outdoor bar seating. You still get the full menu and fast service.

I was torn with the 4 star rating but three stars wasn't enough. We went for dinner on a Saturday night, three of us. The hostess's were a joke, they looked and acted all of 12 years old. They couldn't concentrate on any one incoming client and would answer one of your questions and move on. I understand they were busy but after hearing a 2 hour wait to sit outside we made a beeline for the bar. We found a table no problem and close enough to watch some of the Stanley cup finals. We were promptly waited on by a very smiley waitress. She was a pleasure and ensured we had everything we needed and was quick with our orders. Drinks: Great selection, fun rum drinks (had one last summer), Stewart's sodas (I had Key Lime - yum!) and good variety of beers on tap or bottle. James (my brother) got one from Vermont even! Appetizer: We started with the crab dip which was wonderful. It was not over done with Old bay and it was creamy and had some tomatoes on it. It was also impressively served with a FRESH and warm loaf/baguette. It was perfect. Dinner: Dinner was good, I had the Chimichuri scallops and shrimp (had some fish too), it was light and refreshing and served over penne. They had put plenty of parmesean on top too.. which I love. The seafood was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right to preserve the natural flavors. I highly enjoyed it. Boy #1 got the Salmon tower, and that looked good, it came with a puree of sweet potatoes that was delish. Boy #2 had the blackened fish, and he enjoyed it but said it was a bit cajun/spicy. The meal was good and well presented. Not the best, but good for a tourist attraction. This is a good place to get "local" fare but be prepared to wait. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. Inside is decorated very old fashioned but tastefully. High class looking. The bar is said to be one of the better night spots, and it was a mixed crowd for sure. Enjoy!

The outside bar area has got to be the most happening place in Annapolis. Big crowd of boaters, tourists and locals. Live music. If you are visiting Annapolis you will want to visit this popular drinking hole. Great people watching spot!!! I am amazed at what some people will do in public to get attention. You can watch the boats go up and down Ego Alley. The outside bar is a 5 star rating. I have dined her and just shown up for appetizers. The food is good, not great. It is pushing 3.5 stars. The waitstaff is shakey. Don't have your expectations set to high for service. I had to work really hard to wave down a bartender at the dock bar and I was standing right in front of the bar. They need a drink themselves for some attitude adjustment. I don't know, its possible they just are not staffed properly for the crowds. Be prepared to wait a long time for an outside table. The parking is a mess, so use Valet or the parking garage on Main Street and forget trying to park close on your own.

You go here for the view and the drinks. The view is worth 5 stars. The drinks 3 stars. The food two stars. We ordered a surf and turf to share and were pleasantly surprised that they were offering this item for $10 less that night. The Oysters Rockefeller were good but not the best. Make sure you arrive before it gets too dark.

We came here for lunch. I thought the food was just ok. Nothing spectacular. I had the crab cake which was $11 for one, fish and chips, and tried a chicken wrap that had crab dip. Service was mediocre. The guy really didn't have any good recommendations which always scares me. You should be able to eat and know your own food as a waiter. Probably wouldn't go back.

While I understand the appeal of a place like Pusser's, it doesn't exactly work for me. In fact, there was a strangely similar bar back home just outside of Charlotte called The Rusty Rudder ( yelp.com/biz/the-rusty-r… ) which suffered from many of the same maladies which plague this bar/restaurant. Much like RR, my experience here is limited to the bar portion on a Saturday night, so I can't speak to the quality of the food. I do love the boat-up dock, and the huge outdoor "patio" which is created as a result. On a nice end-of-summer night it was nice to take a break from the madness inside and catch some fresh air outside. The draft options aren't that bad either, and they're only $5 a pint (well just shy of, they use plastic cups). But that's about where the good qualities end in this massive complex of a bar. The crowd is decidedly different than I'm used to in DC. I really respect our servicemen, and the reason I was here in Annapolis was to see a good friend marry a Navy man, but I'm not sure I could handle a bar full of them on a regular basis. It's an overabundance of testosterone fueled drunkenness, and every time someone bumps into you they look back expecting you to want to fight. Normally I would consider taking them up on their offer, but given the odds I had to make a lot of wise life decisions that night. As for the women, well they're just kind of tragic. The mix is between 50 year olds who haven't had a haircut since the 90's, wearing their sloppy boating gear, and seemingly underage girls wearing horribly inappropriate "clubbing" attire for a bar in Annapolis. I actually watched this one girl stumble past Nicole and I with a glazed look on her face and her hand over her mouth, and I knew what was coming. I quickly told Nicole to turn and watch, and just a few feet after she passed us her mouth erupted all over the walkway to the outside dock. It's not the bar's fault this girl puked everywhere, but she was pretty much emblematic of the rest of the crowd, which is a pretty major turn-off for me. Also, I'm not really sure what the point of the 2 Ferraris being parked outside was. I definitely didn't get any sort of vibe that would translate to the class of that brand in this place.

I have tried Pusser's many times while visiting family members. We continue to go back because they have fabulous waterside dining, but we continue to be disappointed in the service. The food can also be hit or miss. If you need help from a hostess - don't bother, they're not much more than a couple pretty faces. There are two separate outside seatimg areas, one for dining and one for the bar. If the bar area is full you cannot sit on the dining side unless you order full meals. Just want appetizers and drinks? Too bad. Apparently they'd rather not have your business although with my experience, appetizers and a few alcoholic beverages can make for a much larger bill than a couple dinner plates. Sorry Pusser's, we won't be back.

The first two times I came here, I sat down and ate. The food was alright (average) but the drinks were amazing. I got the oysters the first time I came here and they were alright. I think I like the oysters better at Fisherman's crab deck or Clydes. I forget what I had here the second time but I'm sure it was alright ? Mojitos were really good but I came back here a few days ago and tried their Pain Killers! There's different types and I don't know which one I ordered but it's a little fruity but there's a lot of alcohol in there. Their drinks were awesome. We stayed in the bar area the whole time and had a blast. They carded everyone not just because of how we look, but because they have a lot of the midshipmen (Naval Academy students) come to Pusser's as well. When we came here this past weekend, we saw lots of people who crashed here after a wedding ceremony/reception. Pusser's is right next to a hotel (I think it was a Marriott, I forget), so this would be an ideal place to spend a weekend at. Annapolis is rich in culture and scenery, I wouldn't mind living by the bay. This is a great place to come with family/friends and sit down for a nice dinner or to get drunk at. They have outdoor seating which is right on the water, which should be really nice if you come on a good day. It does get crowded so make a reservation for a big party. Finally, I gave it 3 stars because the food could be better and the service could be a bit better. They're not rude or anything, they're just busy or understaffed, or something. They don't come by as often as I'd like. the server that helped us on my 2nd time there wasn't very attentive.

Saw a lot of negative reviews but went here for drinks and snacks Friday afternoon and loved it. Great atmosphere at bar on the Annapolis water. Service was good and drinks were excellent. Loved the Iced tea. Crab dip and steamed oysters were yummy. Painkillers are loaded w alcohol n enjoyable.

Every time I go to Pusser's it seem dirty to me, the floor seems sticky from dried beer or greasy food, the food is average, average bar food that they try to dress up as some thing more. The bar out back is great for a drink but is so crowed most evenings it's hard to enjoy. This places needs a renovation that should include the food. I will give it two stars cuz of the bar out back setting by the water can be nice because of the water setting.

  • V. H.

3 1/3 stars, really. This place has a great waterfront dinning and lively scene. The bar is positioned pretty close to the water, so I was hoping to see someone fall in, but it didn't happen - this time. lol Anyway, drinks are good and the food was standard. My only gripe with this place was the crab dip consisted of mostly cheese. I think they need to rename it as "cheese dip, with one or two pieces of crab."

If you want good food, go somewhere else. If you want to sit by the water, have a drink, and watch the boats come in, then be sure to stop by.

I stopped in for a light lunch and sat out on the dock, and had myself a lovely, relaxing time. I opted for a simple Cobb Salad so as not to even deal with disappointment over the food, and occupied myself instead with views from the harbor- which were really great, and totally worth me visiting again. The salad was huge and tasted as good as any Cobb Salad can probably taste, which was just fine with me. The server was decent- he left me to my own devices to enjoy the nice day. I will go here again when in town, but probably for the same exact thing. I don't see myself venturing towards their dinner menu, which looked thoroughly average and unexciting.

A very busy spot during the Annapolis Food and Wine Festival but my friends and I were able to sample all of the things they had to offer even though were not too efficient in handling the crowd. Tried some lamb as well as shrimp and they were both fantastic.

I've been coming to pusser for years. I've been here for Lunch, dinner, happy hour and a night out. The nights out are always fun here. The food is good, I've never had anything bad at pussers. Their pain killers are amazing must try drink. Prices at happy hour are pretty good over wise drinks can be a little costly. The deck is great when the weather is good.

Great location, but service here was terrible and food was average. It seemed like the entire wait staff was hungover and didn't want to be there (we were there on a Sunday around noon). We got the mango and jerk chicken quesadilla as an appetizer. The only thing good about it was the mango-- all of it kind of slid all over the place and it just wasn't that tasty. I had the fish tacos as my meal. I appreciated that the tilapia wasn't fried like at a lot of places, but I wasn't wowed, I suppose. Probably a great place to relax and grab a drink but if you want a good meal I'd recommend heading across the bridge to the Boatyard.

OVERVIEW: This place has a great waterside bar, fun specialty drinks, and is great for big groups of friends. It isn't too expensive or fancy so it is a great place to just hang out. You HAVE to try the Pain Killer mixed drink and the crab dip. Yesterday, I was with some friends having a very late (and mediocre) Sunday brunch and after we finished our food we all decided we weren't done with the afternoon yet. They decided that we should head to Pussers for some painkillers. Now, don't freak out. It is just a mixed drink; Pusser's rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and a sprinkling of nutmeg. It was my first time trying one and it was pretty delicious, though a little too sweet for my personal taste. Because it was one of the first nice days of March, we sat at the outdoor bar, right on the water. It was divine. The bar has space heaters so even the breeze didn't hamper our good time. We ended up moving into the main part of the restaurant once our numbers swelled to over 10. Our waitress was amazing. After a few hours we were starving again and ordered a few rounds of the crab dip for the table. Now THAT was great! It was a great afternoon in a really chill restaurant. I can't wait to go again when it gets warmer out!

After a day on a skipjack in the bay with my class and professor, we decided to have a late lunch at Pusser's. We hauled our arses over and decided to take advantage of the nice weather by sitting outdoors next to the water. Most of us ordered the Maryland crab cake sandwiches, which were a hearty helping of mediocrity at best. Not disgusting, not great, but somewhere on the lower rungs of "okay." The fries were good, but c'mon, they're fries. The highlight of this wasn't the food or the atmosphere, but that a gull crapped on a girl in my group's head and the ensuing drama. Ha. Aside from that, this place is overpriced for the quality you receive. It seems as though more time and effort were put into the theme of the place and the decorations.

From can to plate, the food is sure to disappoint your entire table of 12. But the drinks and service can turn this 2 star experience into a 2.5 or even 3 star experience.

I have never had a meal here that disappointed me. The food is consistently excellent, the service is fine and the outside tables are the best seat in Annapolis.

I've lived and worked in Annapolis for many years and have gone to Pusser's a number of times for lunch or drinks but I have never eaten dinner at Pusser's until recently and I do not recommend it. We took some friends here from out of town mainly for the atmosphere on their outdoor waterview deck (which is awesome) and I thought the food would be good- I honestly wasn't expecting great- but it wasn't even good. The four of us had four different entrees and they were all average at best. I would defintely go to Pusser's for drinks on their outdoor deck but eat somewhere else before or after!

Ok, the ability to eat a meal next to the water in Annapolis Harbor ... enough said! This place has an outside bar. You can order a drink, turn around and take 3 steps to the dock's edge! People pull up in their boats and park (for a fee) next to the tables. Pusser's Caribbean Grille is a restaurant in the Marriott Annapolis Hotel. The outside tables are right across from the tour boat dock. You can sit there eating your meal and watching boats in the harbor. If you people watch, this is your place! I visited on Labor Day and the valet service was only $10 for the first 4 hours. This gave my friends & I plenty of time to eat our meal and walk around downtown Annapolis. The most important part ... there are two drinks on the cocktail menu you must try, "Pusser's Painkiller" and the "Bushwacker"! The Painkiller comes in three alcohol strengths [#2, #3 & #4]. Stay away from #4 unless you want your friends to carry you home. To be fair, one of my friends really liked the drink "Jamaican Me Crazy" but it was not for me. All four of us liked the food and the waiter gave us great service. I highly recommend the Honey Rum Bananas for dessert.

Went here yesterday, there was a wait to be seated in the dining room as people wanted to sit along the water. Not us! We walked right in and sat at the bar. Right away we were greeted by the bartender, Shannon. She was just awesome! She introduced herself, asked us our names, had a great attitude, and took very good care of us. We ordered two pain killers which tasted really good with flavors of pineapple and coconut, and we felt the buzz from the rum right away. We placed our food orders, and it came out in just a few minutes. I'm still not sure how when it was so busy in the restaurant but we were not complaining! The garden salad ($5.95) was cold and crisp, and plentiful. The soft-shelled crab sandwich ($9.95) was breaded and fried, in a brioche bun with all the fixings. The sandwich came out straight from the fryer, and tasted meaty and fresh. French fries were included with the sandwich, and was well-seasoned. Pusser's is very lucky to have Shannon. She is upbeat and very friendly. I also noticed she has a very good work ethic as she kept herself busy when not with customers either straightening up the bar, or preparing drink orders for the food servers. I can't speak about the dining room experience, but when you are in Annapolis, sit at the bar area for great service. It was a nice getaway from all of the long lines and crowded, touristy places just up the street.

Last night my husband and I went to Pusser's anticipating that we would have a good time. We left when over 7 bouncers punched my husband from different angles while I screamed for them to stop so I could take my husband home. They were relentless and told me to step back or I would be handled in the same fashion. We moved to Annapolis one week ago and I am absolutely disgusted by Pusser's.

Well...Having grown up in Annapolis my whole life there are a few things that I never did, eat at all the expensive waterfront places... unless I worked at them. It took until I was an adult for me to venture into the many different places around Ego Alley that I have learned to love and Pusser's hmm... isn't one of them...yet. Don't get me wrong the historic paintings upon entrance are intriguing and I love the decor but to be called a Caribbean grill is well... a fail. If the place was just called Pusser's Landing- minus the Caribbean grill part-then it would get an extra star but to be called a Caribbean grill means you have some Caribbean dishes and a fried soft shell crab sandwich, coconut shrimp or crab cakes ...tasty as they may be...is NOT Caribbean food. Sorry. Its Annapolis food so... just be who you are...an ANNAPOLIS GRILL! Any who, the service was AWESOME.. Karla was our server and she is exceptional, she paid close attention, stayed away when necessary and as a veteran server myself she would get two thumbs up. All in all it was a cool experience aside from the large boat that docked right next to our table and the crew were not skilled at parking and the weird dock man who walks up and down the gate-less edge like clockwork, it would have been exceptional. Had a ball, good company, good food, good view, good weather... but I am a bit partial because I love Annapolis!

Came here towards the end of a night out on the town, SOOOOO I can't really remember much, unfortunately........LOL, oops. What I do remember is it was a great atmosphere!! I loved being out on the water, the drinks were really good, the bartenders were on point, and it was a lot of fun. I'll have to write more once I have sampled the food, I'll definitely be back though!

This place is fun. Can get really crowded though and has a young crowd. I do like how the outdoor bar is basically a dock right on the water. Gives a cool feel to it. Its in a very central location and very nice if you want to enjoy the area. If you are in Annapolis there are alot of other places to check out but if you want to get drinks or food right on the water this is definitely a good spot.

I love, love, love the crab dip!! Cheesy and gooey with lots of crab meat. I regret I didn't order double!! Spiced shrimps were quite tasty but BBQ salmon was passable. The dock bar was awesome. I really enjoyed the fun & relaxing ambiance. The night went by very fast because it's such a good time. My complaint is service could be a bit rough. My waitress, Rachael, was sweet and attentive but some girls were sort of snobbish.

Im sorry every time I go here I feel like I paid way to much and the food was nothing to remember. The place is great for drinks on the water. Maybe even apps but that is all I will ever do again. I ordered the special and pointed it out on the menu it was 19.99. When I looked at the bill she charged me the dinner meal that was 27. I asked her and she was like a deer in headlights. I just paid it and left. Oh and if you want lunch say a sand which make sure you get there way before it ends at 5. We got there at 430ish and after we figured out they had sand which menu it was 10 till and we could not order off of it.

OOOOHHHHH CRAP the boat for 1:30 is full no more passengers. The 4pm -6pm slot is open but that would be cutting it much too close for the 7pm show tonight that I have tickets for, hump what to do!?! Well it's only 11:30 am so there is plenty time and it's started to sprinkle some no rain wear.....so.....let's just hang out here till it stops raining and I'll adjust plans for out Sail Away tour for tomorrow. I'll buy tickets now and we'll have a few early drinks slum about till the rain passes by and why not we are on our mini-moon dammit we are in no rush. So this is Pusser's Landing they have several locations around the Virgin Islands and Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. They have their own label rum and plenty of merchandise for sale too. The Woodwind tours set sail from right here, very convenient. We get a table under the awning safe from the scattered showers falling down. "Hi my name is Gregory and what can I start you with?" We easy enough name to remember that's my brothers name. Okay let's start with the Pusser's Rum Punch for nu-wife nice light fruity for her this early. For me I'll have the Pain Killer #4 blend of Pusser's Rum, cream of coconut, orange & pineapple juices. With the most rum in it 4 parts told him to bump it up a notch to a #6 but they don't go that high really well maybe.... help me loosen up for more touring today now that plans have changed. Even though we ate a late breakfast but that was well over an hour ago so I think we'll try some steamed oysters half dozen to help balance out the drinks and oysters are not filling at all. This is really nice sitting on the water front like this we have beaten the lunch time rush crowd and this is just nice and relaxing. The drinks arrive, WOW now that's a damn good drink. Whew I think he did make me a #6 and it's killing the pain fast. Nuwife's drink was nice and fruity very tasty. Now here come the oyster's "OH No" they are raw! Must of been the "Painkiller #4" drink but I must have forgotten to tell him steamed oysters. Now for those who know me knows that I eat many things. I eat many things raw but oysters is not one of them. Had em' never again raw thank you. So Gregory took them back to steam them. Not long afterwards he came back with the oysters and told me that the chef didn't quite like the way these came out so they were making me another batch at no extra charge they will be ready soon. So I get a full dozen in all. Gregory is on point he is alright in my book extra tip for him. I'm feeling very generous now due to this Delicious drink umm can't get enough of this. So the first ones that he made up we ate and they were a bit over steamed but still very edible not rubbery just chewy and really not bad at all. So in the mean time another round of drinks and we also put in an order of the Steamed Spiced Shrimp appetizer some how all of that walking we did and missing the boat sitting outside there drinking and waiting out the rainfall has gotten me a little hungry. Here comes the new set of oysters and a couple extra at that. Umm much better very buttery soft and flavorful nice juicy umm um good. Another round of drinks pleeze and another n just en time for deh Spiced Shrimp Ooooohh very nice me likes mon me likes. Ehfreeting is iree mon no problem. Boat? what boat oh dat boat yeah mon we git on it toomorrow rite now me tinks tis time for a napp. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

The end of a long day of dining, shopping, and bar hopping landed us at the bar on the dock before heading back to VA. Crowded was not the word for it....body to body, no open tables...just a typical waterfront bar scene in my opinion. Only one bartender had a name tag, MaGuyver, play on the TV hero who can save the day with a paperclip??? Um, me thinks NOT. Our bartender was nice enough, but not all that willing to spend any time chatting with the patrons anyway. A draft beer and a cranberry/Malibu...eh, can get those anywhere. Two chain smoking cougars sidled up beside us, bleh....get me outta here, stat! We were almost ready to leave when this high energy, big smiling 20'something approached the bar trying to remember what he and his buds had ordered, but needed another round. A couple quick questions and we knew he wanted a John Daly....discerned from "tea lemony something with alcohol"...LOL! Paid our tab, winded our way through the restaurant finally making it to the exit and headed back to VA...only to realize I left my damn credit card behind. Phone call to cancel and replace...end of day!

I had lunch here on a Saturday - 2 days ago. Nice central location, and nice to sit right by the water. I was concern about the wait - but we were able to sit right away outside going to the self-seating area. We ordered the crab dip which had more mayo than crab. It wasnt bad, but it definitely wasnt great. Also ordered the fish and chips and the crab cake. Same review for the crab cake - it was just the regular crab cake you get at any bar in MD - more breading than crab. The Fish was good, and the chips were by far the best part of the meal for everybody. Really good fries! Later on that day though... my tongue swole a bit - sign that the food had TONS of MSG.

The weather last weekend was a total buzz kill. I was so hoping for sunshine...beautiful autumn weather with the colorful leaves falling... but instead it was crisp...the East coast wind freezing me to the core with rain non-stop until finally... Sunday -Funday no rain! We were here for the annual yacht boat event, but I couldn't stand being outside, because it was still so cold. I guess I really acclimated to the West coast mild breeze.... i don't like dreary freezing climate unless it's on a ski resort. Fortunately I know that it's definitely who you are with that makes anywhere more enjoyable... Football and alcohol always helps too. So I have to say i love watching a game and rooting for the under-dog.. or in this case the unfavorable team, geographically-speaking... due to where this bar is. Everyone at the bar were wearing purple... But no, i did not cheer when the Ravens had the ball... funny how the other team also wore purple. Seriously was a phenomenal game to watch last Sunday when I cheered for Favre and the rest of the Vikings... classic! So awesome 5-0 wins, really? Back to Pussers (not sure what the name of this place is all about?).... well no I didn't think that food was anything to rave about... bar food. But the "Pain Killers" with 4 different levels... were deadly. My friends loved them. I'm not fond of sweet drinks... nor rum... so I guess that explains why I barely finished one drink, while my friends were pounding them down like candy.

Walking into Pusser's Landing in Annapolis was a trip down memory lane for me and the boy last weekend. If you've ever been to a Pusser's in in the Virgin Islands, it's pretty much exactly the same. The food, the drinks and even the scenery will have you feeling like you walked off the boat in Tortola. Though there are a few Caribbean restaurants sprinkled around the area, this is the only I've been able to find a Painkiller or Bushwacker made just the way they're supposed to be made. And, to top off your island-like experience, this place is right on the water so you can watch all the sail boats float around as you wait for your table or food (and you will wait.) As far as food goes, I'd get the crab dip. There's so much of it you'll need extra bread. I would also recommend the BBQ salmon tower with sweet potatoes, mmm mmm mmm. I also tried the gumbo, which I'd give a B grade to. The roux was nice and thick but there was NO heat. Thank god they have a good offering of hot sauce. If you're ever walking around Annapolis and looking for a place to chill with a good cold drink with a view, I'd definitely recommend this spot.

First of all, I love Annapolis, so I am going to go easy on this one. We strolled in here on a Saturday where there was a special event going on (Sailboats decorated in lights? Oh so Naptown), and there was a $40 fixed menu in the bar, $75 in the main dining area starting @ 4pm... Well, none of us were into that, also, we rolled in @ 3:45, it didn't seem like it should apply. I really just wanted to continue my fried food binge and have my first Maryland Crabcake of this east coast visit... (Hey, I grew up in the crab state, we CRAVE it!) The waitress waited until 4pm to actually bring the menu's... We protested, and she happily got the kitchen to agree to serve us items from the regular menu. You go girl! The crab cake "platter" was good, but typically I believe a "platter" comes with more then one cake? No? I forget what else came with it (I must not have been super impressed with the other items to not remember them), but it was a perfect Maryland Style Crabcake. =) The Crab Dip was creamy goodness. I, of course, was drinking Yuengling... It's a shame you cannot get this cheap and tasty beverage out west. Our waitress was pretty on top of it, and brought all of our drink orders out quickly. All in all, the food was decent, but our server was really good. She even told us the gratuity was included and "not to tip extra". How cute. Indeed, I'd go back for another round.

This is the only restaurant I've worked in that I will happily patronize. The seafood entrees are fresh, and the crab dip is some of the best I've had. Getting a table on the dock bar is worth the wait, if there is one. You can people watch (or boat watch) since the traffic on the water there is always busy. If you go for drinks, the Painkiller comes in different strengths so you can order according to your tolerance for rum drinks. I'd only order the strongest one if you are a dude, or drink like one :-) Don't be turned off by the name of the place - pusser is a variation on the word "purser" who was responsible for handling a ship's money. If you take a day trip to Annapolis, this spot is worth a visit for lunch, dinner or drinks. Please tip your waitress for being forced to wear that ridiculous oversized shirt with the boat drinks all over it.

The ONLY thing that gets this place a couple of stars is that it is the only waterfront bar/restaurant in downtown Annapolis, and they hire decent musical talent on the waterfront for happy hours. We have frequented the restaurant and outdoor bar for every season, and nothing really changes. The food is so-so - always seems & looks like leftovers rather than a fresh meal - lacks presentation and freshness, and takes long to come out of the kitchen - maybe that's the wait staff, but it's slow. The crowd on the outside deck is always in high spirits, and the happy hour entertainment is always good. Don't go to Pusser's for a good meal - you'll be disappointed every time. But the crowd and the music talent - REALLY GOOD!

Didn't know what to expect because the place looked packed so we figured the food had to be good. To our surprise, the food was horrible! I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp with veggies and rice. The only eatable thing on my plate was the shrimp and that's because I like bacon. The veggies were under cooked and the rice had no flavor. If you stay in the Marriott DO NOT eat at this place!

Pusser's..... Love sayin that. I had their signature drink the "Painkiller" with 3 shots. Boy was my face warm after that. It would definitely take the pain away. I also had the chicken quesadilla and there was plenty for 2 people. Very nice place to meet your friends and have a good time. If your lucky you can get a table with a view of the harbor.

This is definitely a tourist trap. We went there on someone's recommendation. The service was horrible. They never check on drinks for a refill and hard to flag someone down even for a glass of water. The prices are extravagant for the quality you get for it. The only redeeming thing about this place is the location.

    (1)
  • Windi L.

Pussers is always hit or miss. Both with the drinks and food as well as the crowd it brings. This place is never consistent which makes it very difficult to give it an overall rating. Accordingly, because it's been more miss than hit and the service has been more crappy than great - it gets 3 stars. The drinks: Wide variety of speciality house drinks but depending on your bartender, it's hard to say if they're any good. Occasionally yes, most of the time no. The food: Think Applebees with a little more "pop" behind it. The location, however, is awesome as it sits right on the water so that will bring an extra dazzle to your night out. And beware... parking is a crisis here.

If you have time to wait on snotty little brats that call themselves hostesses and servers that come around your table whenever they want to, this place isn't so bad. The food is pretty good, but a bit pricey. The atmosphere is nice, especially the outside seating. Plan on a long wait and less than mediocre service.

Dinner here. Nice ambiance, but it's overpriced (presumably because it's on the water), and the food was merely adequate. I'd rather eat merely adequate food elsewhere, then take a walk around the water.

so disappointed with this place. we stopped here because we were starving for breakfast and because it was getting late in the day we were running out if options. and it helped that we had a room at the attached hotel. first impressions was nice, the decor was great and they seated us outside on the water. they were serving brunch too so that was perfect. or not. the brunch was a buffet and the options were dwindling away. one lap looking at the buffet I opted to order from the lunch menu. my wife went ahead with the buffet. bad call on her part. she ended up confused t the egg table and came back with sausage links and fruit. another trip up for toast and more fruit. not worth the $20 they charged! I pressed her to talk to the server and just dump the buffet and order lunch. she didn't care to make a scene and she was feeling full at this point. I went with the turkey club, which didn't come with bacon, I could have had them put it on but I didn't notice until they had served it. again, not going to make a deal out if it--we just knew we wouldn't be going back. the service was poor too. we and the table next to us had to retrieve our own silverware.

Pusser's is a great place if you want to experience some good local fare. They also serve brunch here and let's be honest, who doesn't love brunch? First: The food is fantastic here. I can't say the same about the drinks, but you can never go wrong with beer so... save yourself the trouble and grab a beer. The crab dip is phenomenal. That's really all I wanted to eat. The rest of the menu looked really appetizing, but the crab dip triumphed over everything else. Second: I've been here on a couple of occasions and each time our waiters have been on top of everything. Food delivered in a timely manner... check. Refills of soda without having to ask for them... check. Just being nice and polite because they are actually in a good mood... check. Third: The clientele here is very diverse. On mornings you'll see a slightly older crowd with families galore. During the evening time you'll see the moms and dads as well as twenty-somethings all enjoying a great dinner or drink on the landing or inside around the bar. As Kevin H. commented in his review, yes, you will see a ton of bleached blondes, laxers and mids here. Even so, it's still worth the trip. Fourth: Brunch. All that needs to be said. Oh, and yes. It is good. Fifth: They have a hotel attached to it as well as valet parking. Never been or used either of them.

One of my favorite Annapolis spots for an evening of fun! Love to sit on the water when the weather is nice & enjoy the views & drinks. Food is average, but I usually do not go there to eat. They make amazing cocktails & the service has always been good, and very friendly. Would definitely suggest Pusser's to a friend or anyone traveling though Annapolis.

Great food, great prices, great drinks. And you can eat on the doc right next to the water. Just don't fall in..that would probably ruin your day. Unless it's real hot out, then it may enhance the experience...either way, a new favorite of mine.

I only went to Pusser's once when I lived in Annapolis and I guess that says something. My memories of the place are vague as the night involved a party, several bars, a fuel - leaking yacht, and a civil engineer. Mostly I remember it was extremely hot inside, but the deck was cool and it's neat that boats are docked right outside.

My friends and I went out to celebrate our buddy's homecoming from a deployment. The establishment itself is very nice as far as being a bar/restaurant on the water and being able to dock a boat right along the side of the bar. Little did I know by the end of the night I would be 110% falsely accused of punching a bouncer in the face to the point that three bouncers came out of nowhere and threw me face first on the ground and threatened me with being arrested. Stay away from this place, it's nothing but trouble if the bouncers are bored.

Apparently, this is the place to be in Annapolis for the 4th of July Festivities. We tried to get a table outside and put our name on the 3 hour wait list! yikes! We decided to eat inside after grabbing a few drinks at the bar. Their Mojito's were pretty good, but nothing amazing. I decided on the Pork cutlets (with steamed veggies and sweet potato mash) and a garden salad with salsa instead of dressing. The salad was fresh and healthy. The salsa had a little kick to it and was a great choice. I liked my pork, but mostly it was the sauce that came with it. Overly sweet and yummy. The steamed veggies were great, but looked frozen and then microwaved. The sweet potato mash wasn't too buttery or bland. It had a touch of vanilla or maple and was good. After the fireworks, once everyone cleared out we sat outside for cocktails and dessert. The brownie sundae was uninspired and grocery store quality. The outdoor bar was packed! Lots of drunk people shoving nachoes in their face! We will be back next time we're bar hopping downtown, but probably not the the 4th again. It was a zoo! All of our waitresses and the staff in general were friendly and efficient on such a crazy night.

Fabulous views over the City Dock and out to the Severn, with standard drink selection. The food is variable, in part because they try to be too "creative". No plain grilled seafood - it all has to be coconut or whatever. And I found the one beef dish to be very tough.

A lot of the Annapolis crowd/burnouts from your high school days here. I didn't go to high school here, but some friends did, and it makes me glad I don't live near where I grew up. Nothing like seeing your freshman-year crush-turned-proctologist receptionist getting LIT while being ogled by a dirty old seaman, I imagine. It's one of the only places with an outdoor waterfront bar downtown, so it gets pretty packed, especially with the town's smoking ban. The one time it wasn't crowded was on a Sunday night, after our wedding (we stayed in the Marriott, which isn't bad) and it was a nice place to unwind. But at peak times, I can only stand to be among the bleached blondes, laxers and mids for so long before -- in local parlance -- I have to make a tack out of there.

Horrible name, but damn memorable. The peaceful views of the water are fantastic, but the food is average. Had the eggs benedict: hollandaise was creamy/buttery/yet slightly salty; eggs were perfectly poached (firm but still a little runny when you bite into them). I rarely eat hash browns (sort of anti-potato when they're not yams) but these were decent enough when smothered with ketchup. Service was prompt and friendly.

Great bar during the off-season, a bit pretentious during the summer, but you really can't beat the dock-side seating. Staff is great, never had the food, but the Painkiller's are world famous - ask for a level four, anything else is child's play.

My wife and I decided on Friday to try Pussers for the first time and were glad we did, it was a good dining experience and she loved the "Pain Killer" specialty drink. We thought that this would be a better place for a late night outing with some friends.

Have been to Pusser's many times - usually just to soak in the beautiful views with a few drinks. Went this evening with a group of 9 ladies for a celebration dinner. Was impressed that they had our table ready with waters and plenty of bread when we walked in. Drinks were promptly served - I had a grapefruit crush and was a little disappointed it was served in a rock glass. So tiny for an $8 drink! Several of us ordered the tropical salad with BBQ salmon. Again, a small portion. Salmon was good. Way too much dressing on the salad greens - will remember to ask for it on the side next time. My neighbor had the coconut shrimp - she mentioned it was nothing out of the ordinary. My BIG complaint was our service. Horrible! Our waitress never came by even once to refill waters or take additional drink orders. After our food was served, she never checked in to make sure everyone was happy with their food or needed anything. She walked by our table several times and just glanced at us. I guess she knew by the size of our party, gratuity would automatically be added and she didn't have to work for it. Very disappointing. Probably be sticking to the bar scene there and have dinner elsewhere.

I think the food is good, not the greatest but on a scale I'd put it in the middle of the road. This place beats most when it comes to atmosphere though- if you sit outside you are actually sitting on a dock above the water so you cannot get any closer. The bar side is great on the weekend but can get crowdedat night. Outside dock can be great for a drink and conversation, they usually have an decent live music inside (live being a guy and a guitar). Overall I think this place qualifies as "Annapolis" but sometimes can get out of hand at night.

Not a bad place to eat. Ate here because of it is highly recommended. Had the crab chowder and the crab cake sandwich. Shared the fish and chips. The fish and chips was pretty good. The fish tasted fresh and wasn't fried too heavily. The crab chowder, though small was delicious. The crab cake sandwich was okay. It wasn't the greatest I've had and the price (about $13) for it was a little steep. Great view of the marina. Overall: service: good price: okay (it is annapolis) quality: Okay Go again? Maybe

Food was average and unimaginative, but it's the best spot to hang out and watch the boats, bar none. It's standing room only in the afternoon and evening (at least on weekends), but they don't gouge you too badly for drinks ($5 for good pints).

what a terrible experience..We went and stayed at the hotel that is attached to Pussers for 4th of July weekend. We're DC folks and wanted to do something different so we decided on Annapolis- we took a sailing excursion which was amazing (thanks Schooner Woodwind) and then decided to spend some time at Pussers afterwards. The afternoon bartenders seemed nice enough at the outside bar but come Saturday night- it was a TOTAL disaster. It was getting close to last call and we had closed out our tab and finishing up our drinks when the bartender yelled " DRINK YOUR SHIT AND GET OUT!" and he wasn't kidding. The bouncers weren't any better either- not that they have to be gentle but at the very least- be respectable. We couldn't believe that the bartender was yelling this- AFTER we had spent a fair amount of money ( there were 8 of us) and TIPPED generously (we're in the service industry as well) There was absolutely no reason for him to say that. We came back the next day to retrieve a lost credit card and we asked a MANAGER to see if he could see if it was there. Not only was this manager a jerk about going to look for it, he lied about not seeing it. We left to go eat lunch elsewhere , came back and asked another staff person who actually looked and found the credit card. We thanked him and then left. What a huge disappointment - it's too bad beacuse the place is really cool to just chill and hang out by the water but we will not be going back.

We lunched here, it was fine enough but obviously was popular for its location and as a tourist spot, not for their fine dining. We were seated and were attended to by no less than 4 servers who wanted to help us. The crabcake platter I ordered was 1 medium/small crabcake, some rice and some greens. It was OK but a bit too much breading and void of real crab flavor. But maybe I'm spoiled being used to Dungeness Crab. You must be able to do better than this in Annapolis.

I went here on a Friday night a few months ago for drinks with friends. Everything was fine until closing. I got it, the bar closes at 2 AM and normally lights go on at 1:45 AM. However, at Pusser's the lights went on at 1:30 AM and the doormen began to kick everyone out. To make a long story short, we were told that the bar was closing at 1:35 AM. A bartender agreed that we shouldn't be asked to leave so soon but his concerns were disregarded by a doorman because: "What does he know? He only makes $10 an hour." I ended up in a verbal altercation with one of the many rude doormen. I have been to many a bar and night club but have never seen such rude and unprofessional doormen. One of the drunk girls in our group insulted one of the doormen then a group of doormen began to sling insults at our group. A rule for doormen or "bouncers", if your prefer, is to deescalate situations and remain professional. If a doormen get insulted, they shouldn't insult back and just do their job. These doormen closed the bar when they felt like it and were very unprofessional. It is a cool-looking bar but I won't go there again.

I come to this spot when I go downtown annapolis with friends to get a few drinks. It is nice since it is one of the places that you do not have to pay a cover charge. They have a indoor bar and an outside bar, which is real nice, however, do not have one too many and fall over into the water! The only negative part about the outside is that it isn't that big in terms of room and it gets real crowded. I have ate at the restaurant before and was not real impressed. It is a little pricey for the food you recieve. The crab cakes are tasteless, so do not waste your money on that and the crab dip is definitely not the best I have had. Their mussels are good steamed with garlic, and they have good fish sandwiches. This place has a fun annapolis atmosphere and I am sure you would have a good time if you go.

I've been here a couple of times while family and friends were in town to show them the great view. The drinks are ok, the food is pretty darn good but I must give my biggest shout out to the staff. The two times I have been there my table stayed for well over two hours (I know, I know, if you're a server you HATE that). Our servers were nothing but nice. Continued to bring us our drinks and snacks and what have you. They were always pleasant and helpful! This is why I will go back.....(and yes we tipped very well).

great sunny day atmosphere!!!! love the waterfront bar & seating!!!!! since i didn't get to do any tropical vacation get away this summer, this was the next best thing w/ tropical drinks, reggae music, outdoor bar & seating near the water......... love the vibe, unexpected but glad to have found the perfect spot for our annapolis afternoon. we enjoyed the tuesday afternoon sippin' rum punch & pusser's famous painkiller (strength #2 for me & #3 for my hub). yummeeee appetizers -- crab dip, coconut shrimp & crabcake. service (different from the server who took our orders -- that server didn't really seem like he wanted to be there) was REALLY quick, like we pressed the button & presto it appeared. can't wait to come back next summer.......

A great way to spend a hot summer afternoon! I've only ever been out on the dock, and in my opinion that's the only way to go. The atmosphere is great - if you have a boat, bring it right up to the dock. The rum drinks are fantastic, strong, and very reasonably priced (compared to DC bars, at least). The food is also good. I've only ever tried a few appetizers, but they were all very satisfying. Overall I would say the #1 thing Pusser's has going for it is atmosphere. No better way to enjoy Annapolis waterfront on on sunny weekend.

Pussers is great because it's one of the few bars in Annapolis with a waterfront. Now, Annapolis is beautiful during the summer. Actually, more early spring and fall, before the weather gets too hot and muggy. I'd recommend everyone go visit it, but I hate tourists. So don't. You'll annoy me. I've never sat in the "indoor" part, but it looks like almost every other bar in Annapolis. I'd liken it most to O'Brien's, because it appears to have a dance floor of sorts. But if you're not going to sit outside, there's really no reason to go to Pussers. It's further away from Main Street, and there's not much notable about it. The drinks here aren't that great, but you are almost guaranteed to run into at least 5 kids you went to high school with, and you can pull your boat up to the dock and hang out there and get drinks served to you. I mean, seriously, what more could you want out of life?

If the sun is way up high in the beautiful sky and you're in Annapolis, Pusser's is the place to be. The outside deck is also a dock that sits on Ego Alley. If you don't know what Ego Alley is....I'll tell you it's an inlet that ends at Main St.. Boats travel in and out to "show off". The deck area at Pusser's has both a hostess seated area as well as a seat yourself bar section. I have never had too much a problem commandeering a table in the seat yourself area. A plus to their outdoor seating is they have elevated heaters to help in the early spring and late fall after the sun goes down. The drink menu has some tasty looking tropical drinks. They are okay in my opinion I have never had a drink to write home about here. The Bushwhacker is not one I'd suggest trying while you are spending the day boozing. It's essentially a milkshake. Makes my tummy hurt just thinking about it. The food is good, there are a few random items that I feel are excellent. The seven-layer dip is so good. Also the jerk chicken quesadilla with mango chutney is a symphony of flavors. The valet parking is only during certain months, so I suggest inquiring before banking on that. Parking in Annapolis is limited so I would be somewhat prepared to walk, its not painful at all in this bayside town. This is always the first place I think of when the question arises on a nice day "where should we lunch".

Not impressed. For the price, I expected the little details like butter with the bread basket but it seems you have to request that. You also have to ask for melted butter if you like that with a lobster tail. The filet was very good, but nothing spectacular. It does have a nice atmosphere on the water.

Not someplace I'd visit again. The Coconut Shrimp appetizer was lousy. Shrimp was very tough and did not have much of a Coconut taste. Go to Outback and take a clue. I had the fried fish sandwich. More breading than fish. The wife had a salad with Scallops on it and she really liked the Scallops.

The waterfront out back was very handy as I had to barf quite urgently and I didn't have to worry about being repulsed by my own fumes, as it was merrily washed away. The fried calamari was not great at all. Small and tough and dry. The mussels however were excellent! Plump, juicy and full of flavor. The broth was so tasty, dipping the bread in was like another dish. Packed with Navy guys (if that's your thing) but not too obnoxious.

I am writing this review from the standpoint of enjoying it as a restaurant. I took my grandparents for dinner there so they could see the boats while we ate. The meals we had were below average, and the place was overall unremarkable. If I was going to have drinks with friends I would give it another shot but not for food.

I think this place is sailing (no pun intended) on its dock location and history, because I cannot remember a yuckier-looking meal. I think I was more impressed by the presentation last time I was forced to eat at Cracker Barrel. Maybe I ordered THE wrong thing? Came at THE wrong time? This was my first real visit to Annapolis (I just ran the 10 Miler and wanted to stick around and check it out) and had been hearing about this place for ages. We were there for Sunday brunch/lunch. Most of the people inside seemed to be getting the brunch buffet, but the dock seemed to be all lunch people. We ordered oysters on the half shell, which were OK, as were our bloody marys. But, ugh, my meal. Pusser's is a "Carribbean Grill" so I figured I'd be safe with a Spicy Jerk Yellowfin Steak with a vegetable hash side. So it comes and my first thought was literally "If they were out of tuna they could've just told me." Tiny tiny chunk of tuna (and believe me, I order a lot of seafood, and was not expecting or wanting Outback-size portions), which looked like it had been "thinly sliced" with a dull fork, next to a Lean-Cuisine-lookin' oily vegetable side. It was supposed to have mango relish .. I think I saw, like, one tiny chunk of mango. It was completely depressing to look at. The tuna tasted fine - no better than I could've done at home with some jerk seasoning, sadly. The hash was about as good as it looked. My husband's pastrami sandwich was fine, not great. One star for the dock, one for his fries, maybe a half-star for the service, which was okay. Sorry, Pusser's. Not impressed.

I was surprised... it was pretty good. For some reason I had mixed feelings about Pusser's Landing before I even tried it. Yup, I had put up-ed the non existent wall~~~ but overall they did every well in my book. Location was awesome: located inside the Marriott with outdoor seating on the dock. I was told that it was one of the few restaurants in Annapolis that had outdoor seating on the docks. The decor has a Caribbean feel. Dark cherry woods with bright colors. It was clean, it was elegant, it was nice. The dock reminded me of ... a dock. Nothing fancy but the views of the harbor made up for its lacking. The service was good but not great, much better than most places. I have nothing to complain about... The food was actually pretty good. We ate the mussels, crab dip, chicken quesadillas, calamari. I would recommend the quesadillas out of all the appetizers. For entrees we ordered pretty much everything on the menu that was in red: supposably the best of the menu. Surprisingly, everything turned out delicious and full of flavor. Lived up to the "red" expectation. The only negative was their price points. Entrees all starting at $20 and not much flex around it. In my opinion, Pusser's entree value wasn't worth anymore than $15-$20. Portions however, are large enough to feed two people so i guess if you're trying to stay in a budget, ask to spit the dish. You'll be surprised how big the dishes are- two for the price of one. In that sense, it was well worth the meal, but overall, I did think the prices were a tad too high. Try the deserts. I got a compt birthday surprise (choco cake) and it was absolutely delish! Maybe a little too sweet for my taste buds but it was a very good none the less. Cudos to Pussers. I think I'll be back.

Although we did request outdoor seating in our reservation, we had to sit inside. Definitely try to get outside if you can, this is where all the action is day and night. It sits right on Ego Alley so you can see all of the boats coming in and out. Lunch food was ok (I had the fish tacos) but you just can't be the location. We went on the woodwind sailing trip right after lunch which leaves right outside the door to Pusser's. In fact, you have to walk through Pusser's to load the boat even if you aren't dining there so this made Pusser's VERY convenient as a pre-post meal from the boat. We drove past on water taxi later in the evening on the way to another restaurant and the outdoor deck was absolutely packed. Definitely the place to be on a Saturday night on the waterfront.

Great Location! I had breakfast brunch at Pusser's last Sunday and it was very nice. I will say that the reason to go to Pusser's is not for the food but rather the on water setting and ambiance (you feel like you are in the virgin islands). The food was OK nothing to special but it was just brunch... I will definitely try dinner their sometime soon and give an update.

I have lived in Annapolis my entire life (went to St. Mary's, etc). I have been going to Pussers for years and years. My entire high school has a reunion there once a week, my family goes for dinner a few times a month, we love it there. Friday night, all of that changed. I showed up with a group of about 19 people (my aunts and other family members). We were meeting my dad and uncle there who had tied up to their pier. After about 2 hours, the dock master came over and kicked them out, telling them they had hit their time limit, and untied their boat from the dock. While I realize this was not Pusser's fault, how things were handled after that was absolutely atrocious. I have spent many, many nights at Pusser's until well after last call, sitting on a boat. There were 2 free slips and no one waiting to dock their boat (it was well after 11pm), yet the dock master absolutely refused to let them tie up there so we could all stay and have a good time. To say they were rude is a gross understatement. The dock master came at us with a ridiculous attitude, saying he could have gone home if we would just leave- something I find funny because my dad and uncle had been untied and on another dock for 30 minutes, and there were 3 other boats tied up on the pier. How could he leave with other boats there, or why didn't he leave in the time they were gone? After they gave us about 16 lame excuses as to why they couldn't stay, they rudest man I have ever met, also known as the general manager of Pusser's came over to us. After saying "fuck you" to my dad and attempting to untie his lines and push him into the channel, we (all 15 of us) were kicked out. No one was saying a word other than my father, but they felt the need to make a HUGE scene and walk us all out to the front door, yelling "have them arrested for trespassing if they come back!!!" Had they let us tie up and stay, I know that we would have spent well over 1000 dollars there, but no one was interested in anything other than puffing their chests and not being proved wrong (which they were). I have been a customer of Pusser's for years and have never had a complaint before, but the treatment we received Friday night was so ridiculous, I will NEVER go back. I will also make it my personal goal to make sure as many people know about this as possible (hence my posting on this site).

Took my parents here when they came to visit and thought it was a nice place. We made reservations but found that there wasn't really a need for that when we arrived at the restaurant. We were seated at table overlooking the water (it was late Nov so no outside seating at that point). Our party tried everything from the Cajun blacked fish fillet, the Maryland crab cakes, the seared snapper, fish and chips and even the curried chicken. The food was fresh, hot and very flavorful! Everything was delicious and the service was very prompt and friendly. The only thing I wouldn't recommend was the nachos as an appetizer. Perhaps this was our fault for ordering this in a seafood restaurant ( i admit.....its an odd choice) but it was served promptly...it wasn't anything special and definitely not a repeat item. Other than that.... I would recommend this place for their seafood and even for the one chicken dish our party ordered.

I wrote a more detailed review under Pussers Caribbean Grille, but was so dissatisfied with the evening, that I am also writing it under Pussers Landing, the same place. I had made reservations for a special evening for four people. The service and kitchen management really ruined the evening. We ordered three separate courses and were clear about the timing of the three courses to the waitress. We had to wait to get bread to start with. Then our warm appetizers came out for the table to share. Our salads were brought out and served right afterwards, so our salads just sat there while we ate our appetizers. Shortly there after, a guy brought our dinners out! We weren't even done with our appetizers and had salads just sitting there off to the side. We told the guy we were not even close to being ready for our dinner so he took them back. But the another guy brought them back out shortly there after while we were still trying to eat appetizers, and we were not eating slow. He tried to hand me the plate because there was no space! I asked where he thought it would go, he took our appetizers off the table even though we were not finished!! So then we were left to eat our salads while our dinners got cold. Our waitress was no help. It was gross and very unpleasant. Th dinner was cold and we had sipped ate our apps and salads, so we could eat more than a bite or to of the luke warm dinners. Waitstaff and kitchen management staff know better!! And they didn't seem to care! Very disappointed.

I am not a shy drinker, but the PainkillerSignature drink was no joke. I had heard about it from my brother who goes to the Pusser's in BVI, but we were just looking to kill some time in a cute atmosphere, so found our way to Pusser's in historic Annapolis. We sat at the bar on the dock, which was a nice treat to be On The Water without all the snobbery that usually comes with being on the water. The bar staff was fun and attentive, despite the hefty crowd. We ordered some oysters on the half, which were fine... Nothing outrageous or locale specific... Just fun. Then decided to go for the Oysters Rockefeller. That was hard to give up half of them to my boyfriend.... Really yummy.. The cheese on top was backed in and nutty crispy without being rubbery, that was a great rendition. But definitely get a painkiller. Level 4. And enjoy the water.

The star is for the views. Service is less than commendable. You'll wait forever if you do decide to order and when you do, the order will be wrong. Then you'll wait ten more minutes to have them make it right. Then the rest of your food will be cold. Then you'll be thirsty. Your drinks you order won't arrive, but your server will come back and and ask you if you need anything else. Yes. The drinks you ordered 20 minutes ago. So there you go. That's your afternoon. I just saved you the time, trouble and money! You're welcome!

Great for appetizers and drinks!! Never had a full blown sit down meal so can't say too much about the entree The appetizers are tasty. We mainly come here for the atmosphere and the drinks. Love the painkillers they make!!

While the food was great as always, the hostess station was a disaster. We made a reservation for 6 and when we arrived about 10 minutes early. I went to the hostess station to check in, they had no names for anyone that had reservations. Told me that the inside was being reserved for a large party and would have a 15- 60 minutes wait. 15-60 minute wait is quite a stretch of time and a very large gap to tell a customer. I was handed my little buzzer and told to wait. As I had just sat down in the lobby area, the buzzer went off and our group headed to the hostess stand. The waitress that was seating us only grabbed two menus and when I mentioned that we are a party of 6, everyone looked totally confused. Seems that they did not record the correct number and when I looked at the list, the buzzer number I had next to my name was also listed after two others. We ended up getting placed outside, even though I requested inside seating on my reservation. Which I guess never really was taken when I called earlier in the day. So when I questioned that we wanted to be seated inside, the hostess that was seating us said it would be 15-60 of wait before we could be taken care. Not quite sure what the reason is for them taking reservations, if they are not going to hold to them or outright lose them. We ended up eating outside, since we did not want to wait 15-60 minutes beyond our confirmed reservation. It was cold, windy, smoky and not very enjoyable. We hurried through dinner just to get inside. We actually told the waiter to bring us our bill inside.

This place has got to be the worst place I have had brunch at. First off very little selection if at all and the price that they charge to even eat here is ridiculous! The little smoked salmon that I had, had gone bad, on top of the cold food that they were serving that was supposed to be hot. To anyone who is thinking about eating here, BEWARE!! Lol do yourself a favor and eat some where else. I wish I had read the reviews here before I ate here. Would of saved myself from spending money on bad food.

Very average food, so-so service, and overall a poor impression. We had 6 people in our group and ordered the crab dip and nachos for starters. That was the best part of the food. Both were fine but nothing amazing. For our main course we have the fish and chips 5)3 fish tacos, the burger, and the crab sandwich. Everything was over fried, and over cooked. The burger was dry, the fish and chips looked like it came out of a supermarket frozen foods section, and the tacos were covered in cheese. Nobody finished their food. Overall a pretty poor experience.

Do people actually enjoy the food here? I imagine this is the kind of fare they serve on a low budget cruiseship. Two stars for the #4 painkillers though.

The location is the best part as you can grab a drink and watch the boats. The food is on the average side. I would label it as a good happy hour place. Not sure if I would go for dinner.

I don't know what to start with, my drink was awful, so i decided to stick with something they can't mess up , i got a beer. The mussels stunk , it's not a joke , it was disgusting. I wont recommend this place even to an enemy.

We ate here last summer and it just occurred to me that I should leave a review about the great experience we had (and how you can, too). A friend of ours recommended this after we told them we'd be staying a night in Annapolis before heading to Ocean City, MD. We printed out a coupon they had on their website and headed over with our two small children (2 year old and 5 month old girls). First thing we had to deal with was parking, which was a bit tricky. We ended up paying $10 (I think) for a parking spot next to the hotel they are in - it was probably the best option we had, really. We headed inside the restaurant and visited with the Hostess. It was the summer, and they have an awesome outdoor seating area, so we decided we'd wait a bit so that we could take advantage of that.... great decision, and very well worth it. There is a lot of boat activity right off their deck, so we had a great time just watching all of the boats and people go by, and the 2 year old loved it. We ordered a couple of fruity cocktails since this was the start of our vacation, and they were delicious. I had crab cakes and my wife had a salad, they were both delicious... but we weren't there for the food. What we wanted was a chill environment, and the tropical feel of this place was exactly what we needed. When you go, make sure you sit outside, relax, and drink something fruity.

We haven't been here in ages. It needs a Reno badly, floors are filthy, the women's bathroom was out of soap, when I told the staff they told me they were aware of that but the hand soap wasn't due in until tomorrow. I hope the kitchen staff had some. Food was mediocre, our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

Great outdoor venue for an afternoon beverage. It was a bit hot the day we were there....but we found a few seats at the bar and had drinks. The food is average...but the atmosphere is fun and the drinks are good. If you're looking for a fun place to sit and take in all that Ego Alley has to offer....definitely check it out! It's a great place to enjoy the sites of Annapolis....

This place has a beautiful view and... well actually, that's it! You are sitting right on the Annapolis harbour, overlooking the water. Occasionally ships will come in and you'll have mouth breathers encroaching on your space. But no worries, you can fend them off with your fork which won't even see food until a half hour after you order them. That's not including the fact that your waitress somehow finds a way to make herself unavailable to you, either by playing on Facebook on her phone in the bathroom, or simply standing around wondering if that cute summer dress she saw at the mall was $35 or $355. Then to venture further, the menu claims that bread is all inclusive with the meal, however apparently the customer is supposed to know to ask their waitress for bread. In which case, they give one roll per person, which is fine, if the quality of the roll isn't the consistency of stale brick house. I ordered the barbecued salmon which was slathered on like pigs in mud. It didn't have a flavour, or so it was lost in the sogginess of the salmon. The Garden Burger was the only enjoyable part of the meal, probably because it was frozen and shipped in from a distribution center in Massachusetts. It was piled atop a can of sweet potatoes flavoured with your basic salt and pepper combination. The waitress never asked how I was doing or thought twice to ask if I needed more water in my glass. If you go here, assume to ASK FOR EVERYTHING! If you want a view of the coastline and are unable to find one on Google, then go to this place.

Can someone tell me why it smells absolutely disgusting when you walk through this restaurant? The view from the outside seating and some of the food is worth walking through it to get out there, but I would never eat inside when it smells like diarrhea/diapers/pee

Came by here in a late Sunday evening for a dinner outside by the bar. We got a nice seat near the water and had an amazing server (Jason..I think). He was very responsive and gave us just enough space to enjoy our meals. We both ordered fish and pretty much cleaned our plates. I had the mango ginger snapper which was tasty. The green beans and carrots were a little bland but the snapper was cooked nicely with a nice sweet salsa. I had the Painkiller #3 to drink which was no joke and could definitely mess you up if you had a few of those... Overall nice experience and an ideal spot for people watching on a Sunday evening.

After wandering through the Annapolis Food and Wine Festival for most of the afternoon...we decided that we were hungry and in need of more food. Heh. I love being me. My husband used to live in Annapolis (when he was young and foolish), and remembered that Pusser's Landing had a great water view and good food. I did mention that this impression was from when he was young and foolish, right? OK. I'll give it to him on the view. We got a great table overlooking the water and we had a lovely time watching the boats sail in and out. It made me want to buy a boat. Again. Yes, we once owned a sailboat...which I loved...but hated the maintenance on it. But I digress. My husband ordered the Pusser's Painkiller #4, which sounded like a delightful cocktail. Sadly...it reminded me of the vomity taste in your mouth after a night of drinking Jaggermister and kool-aide (hey, I don't judge your drinking habits...don't judge mine). I'm not sure what it was...our money was on the *liberal* dose of nutmeg in the drink. Or it could be the rum. You can decide. We ordered a few apps to share - oysters on the halfshell, coconut shrimp and the steamed mussels. The oysters were tiny and skimpy, which is unusual because they are generally pretty plump in the fall. Also, the oysters were served without its delicious liquor. I nearly wept with the desecration. The coconut shrimp were OK - but nothing spectacular, and the steamed mussels were - like the oysters - small and skimpy and a little on the mealy side. The broth that it was cooked in (which is one of my favorite parts of steamed mussels) was bland and tasteless. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Oddly enough - when we went over to the party room of Pusser's - which was where their tasting for the Annapolis Food and Wine Festival was...the food there was FANTASTIC! The lambchop "lollipop" was tender, flavorful and delicious! Perhaps we should have just stayed over in the tasting, and just kept on chowing down on those free lambchops!

Service can be spotty. The kitchen is good. Management is very responsive if you get a poor server and will assign someone else. The views are good. The food is good. If you've been to Pusser's in the BVI then Pusser's Annapolis is a bit like going back.

    (3)
  • Katrina W.

If you are looking for a meal near the water the Pusser's is your spot. They have tons of room indoors and near the water. The actual seating outside is a bit limited so if you have a large party I would call ahead. They also have an outdoor bar too! Big fan of the rum drinks, I highly recommend their signature Pain Killer which has three levels 2-3-4. The Caribbean food fare is quite tasty. I enjoyed their nachos and jerk chicken items. Great views during the day of the harbor and sail boats.

I've tried the crab dip, the oysters, and mussels at Pusser's and they're all so good. I'm not sure what the target population of this place is - there's a lot of middle-aged or old people, but there's a lot of 20-ish people, too. Oh, and children, even on Friday nights. It's not a great bar to meet people, but it's nice to hang out with friends and have good food. It does get very crowded and noisy and sometimes the wait lines for the bathrooms are ridiculous. But all in all it's a nice place, and it has cute bartenders :D I guess the unfortunate part is the name of this place.

  • Arturo G.

Should've known better to come here because of the low ratings an reviews... The scene: 2pm in a Sunday; 2-hour 45 wait for a table on the deck. So we choose a table in the bar area. The waitress takes 10 mins to gives us two menus for the three of us, and asks us what we want to drink right away--a if we should know what's available. I tell her I have to look first. 10 mins later she comes back and I ask for a specific beer in the menu only to be told they're out of that one. 15 mins after i choose a random beer on tap, it finally arrives. 5 minutes after taking our food order, I'm told that they don't have oysters or crab meat that day. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? You're in freaking Annapolis, and you're a SEAFOOD restaurant! Out of frustration and feeling stupid for not following my instinct about coming to this place, I order a freaking cheeseburger. At a seafood restaurant. I don't expect it'll be cooked to order either. I was right, I ordered medium rare and got medium well, and without mayo mustard or ketchup. And it wasn't very good either.

Location tastes better than food and way better than service. Service was slow. The food was blah with nothing memorable, but the drinks were awesome. Nice waterfront dining, cannot beat the location.

Meh. I had the fish and chips which was ok, not great. My husband had the mahi mahi which wasn't good at all. The prices are steep, place was packed, service super slow and good mediocre. Definitely wont be going back.

If you go here, you absolutely have to sit outside. The view is gorgeous. My co-workers and I visited Pusser on a Monday night so we were fortunate enough to avoid a wait. The service was amazingly quick but I guess this can be attributed to the fact that it was a Monday night. I had the white peach sangria and crab cakes, both of which were pretty good. My co-workers liked their meals as well. The food wasn't awful but it wasn't something to write home about. The view can't be beat, though. It was a perfect, waterfront setting that was the highlight of our business trip.

This is a good place to go, order a drink and sit by the water. We went around noon on a Sunday and just ordered appetizers and drinks. The drinks were good and not too expensive, the appetizers left a little something to be desired. We had the crab dip (we asked for a second loaf of bread to finish it off), which was a bit sour-creamy and not crabby. Our other friends shared the mussels are were happy with their selection. If you're looking for a waterfront bar that's not outrageously expensive, then Pusser's is a-okay.

we had a large group of 16. they let us be seated prior to the whole party being there which i thought was nice. but we were inside, and they dont have an area where you can just chill outside, which i thought they should since its right on the water. service was great considering how busy they were. i ordered the mango-ginger seared red snapper with pineapple salsa. i was missing the mango and ginger flavor on my snapper, but it was still very yummy and cooked well and i loved the pineapple salsa. the black bean sauce did not seem to jive with the rest of the plate so that was kinda strange, but still tasty overall. it seems like a fun place to go and they have an extensive bar which seemed very full the whole time. overall, good place to get some solid seafood.

The worst thing about Pusser's is the name. Seriously, the first half of the word is something I never, ever want to associate with food or drinks. The second worst thing about Pusser's is getting to it. We saw it from across the water, where everything is happening in Annapolis and where you will likely find yourself if you're not from there. To get to Pusser's, however, one must trek all the way around the water, along the main road, and enter through the Hotel doors. It's worth it for lunch, though - I promise! A party of four, we arrived at 1:30 looking for a drink on the water and some lunch grub. The place wasn't packed, it wasn't loud, and they put us at a shaded table that sat at the edge of the water where we could watch all the boats. Drinks (all specials made with Pusser's Rum) were about $6 and neither weak nor tiny. I'm already sold. Food was decent - about $12 each for our lunches and tasty enough to feel like it was a bargain. I got the soft-shell crab sandwich, my man, the fish and chips - I would recommend both to grease up your gut for one or two of their rummy concoctions. For the price and location, it can't be beat. Service runs slow, but pleasant when there, including a stop-by from the manager to ask how everything was; always a nice touch, in my opinion.

Not the Same in the Winter ***************************** I hate to give Pussers 2 stars. It's a must-do when we have out-of-town guests in warmer weather. But this was a "meh" experience. The ambiance on winter evenings isn't warm or inviting. I'm not expecting a fine dining experience, but the pacing of the meal was a debacle. Two of the six main courses came out while we were still on our salads. Ten minutes later the other four entrees arrived. It wasn't our server, Michael's, fault. He was engaging and personable. Where was the floor manager? The food was better, but for those who ordered the surf & turf, the lobster tails were a bit tough. That said, their signature tropical salads are delish. And, free valet parking! We'll be back in the spring.

The food is decent and their menu specials amount to really great deals. For dinner I ordered from their prix fixe menu and had their combination steak and crab cake meal with two sides, plus dessert. Keep in mind: this is a basic, bar & grill. That being said, the steak was cooked really well and tasty. I didn't care for the crab cake - I prefer a lump grade of crab meat, seasoned well with no filler. Sometimes, if it's not a good quality piece of meat, it can taste like filler. Not sure if it was the poor quality, or filler, but either way it wasn't very good - but it was edible. Their baked potato and side of mixed veggies was good and the accompanying dinner salad with the ginger vinaigrette dressing was tasty. They bring bread for the table (a plus at any restaurant), which is warm and good. The big hit of the night was their signature dessert, which I highly recommend. It's presented in a very simple way, but it is delicious: it comes in a small bowl with a scoop of creamy coconut ice cream layered with yummy, rum-soaked bananas, drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream. Beyond the steak and crab, this little dessert stole the show! My friends indulged in a selection of their various cocktails and agreed that they were also good (I just had water). All in all, I wouldn't make a special trip to Annapolis to dine here, but if you're in the area and like the feel of a bar & grill, then you won't be too disappointed. It's inside the Annapolis Marriott, so expect to see hotel guests and have money to pay for parking, unless you can find a spot on the street. It sits at the dock, so if you get a good seat, you'll be overlooking the beautiful Chesepeake and can enjoy the sail boats and other sights on the water.

Food wad simply terrible. Nachos were gross and my burger was an over cooked frozen patty. My guests thought their fish tacos were OK. The dining space is nice and the drinks were good.

Nice place to gave some before dinner drinks and appetizers. Beware of the 4's which have a synergistic effect. Therefore 2-4's equal more like 10 or so. Great views from the porch. Very good bar food. The calamari was a little tough but the coconut shrimp were excellent. Salads and sandwiches looked great, next time I'll have to stay for dinner. I am sure that before labor day you would need to arrive early to avoid having to wait.

  • Brook B.

The food flat out sucks. For a restaurant at the base of the Marriott, I expected much better. it was bland, and over priced. The service was pretty good. The Bar Scene is OK. Pussers has the BEST layout for a bar in Annapolis, It is huge, partially outdoors, has a dance room if you are so inclined, and draws a great (hot and marginally slutty) crowd. That being said, the bartenders are VERY slow, the drink are reasonably proced, and for the most part the bouncers are Patrick Swayze wannabe assholes. You can order drinks up until around 1:15 or 1:20, but they will also start to kick people out without letting them finish their drinks. If you want to binge drink but don't want to spend all night waiting for drinks, your best bet is to take cash and order from the beer bin.

View view view! This place has a beautiful view. Check this place out for drinks, especially the pain killer, their signature drink. I'm not sure what is in it, but it will knock you off your feet. You can get different "levels" which sounds super intimidating, but the bar staff is nice enough to help you pick. You also get a nice view of the bay and lots of trolling boatsmen showing off their vessels. I also witnessed some pretty intoxicated ladies who were attempting to fish a dropped item out of the water while juggling their drinks and purses. That always makes for a good time... We did eat here, and I had a wrap that had Crab dip in it. Very interesting. I'm going to say it had too much going on. Next time I'll pick one or the other. We also had the peel and eat shrimp, and you just can't go wrong with that. Yum. I'll be back again next time I venture to Annapolis.

I did not care too much for Pusser's, we went there late to go dancing and have a few drinks. The dance floor smelled like vomit and beer and was very small with no ventilation. They had so let so many people in that it got ridiculously hot and the fire alarm went off twice. The DJ wasn't bad but I've had a lot better. The best part about Pusser's was that the drinks weren't expensive.

The only good thing about this place is its location. Bored waitress - stale food including fish tacos that were just awful - the fish was hard and dry - cooked long ago. Seriously wondering how this place managed to get attached to the Marriott name brand. Definite no return - big shame frankly.

Better than I expected! The crab cakes were REALLY GOOD... But I gotta say... the staff needs some work. Not very friendly and attentive... even though the place seems like that kind of laid back friendly kind of restaurant... Food came out fast, but the waiter barely made any rounds to make sure we had enough drinks and whatever else. The location is good and easy to get to with a nice view... and not overwhelmingly crowded.

A friend of mine and I decided to take a day trip to Annapolis, the weather couldn't have been any more perfect for strolling this cute town. After walking around the academy and the town we took a recommendation to stop by Pussers. We were seated outside, with really nice views of the harbor and the boats. The ambiance was fun outside, with a live band so it was a bit loud, but appropriate for us since we were tourists. Food: Crab dip: I did not care for this this dip. It was way too creamy, light on the crab and heavy with the cream cheese. Overall it was very heavy and unappetizing. Mussels: I had a special - which werethe Mussels- the broth was extremely watered down. Normally I want to dip my bread and soak up the broth, but I was content to leave it as was. Too bad as the potential was there but I was not a fan. Crab Cake Annapolitan: It was mediocre. Too much filler and not enough crab in it. I have had much better elsewhere so, meh. I found our waitress attentive but not overbearing and knowledgeable. Great service. Overall this would be a really fun Summer tiem bar to sit outside and hang out with friends, but I would eat somewhere else beforehand.

Liked this place because its on the water. We had the crab cake Caesar salad and it was very nice. They also had a great drink menu. Kids pizza wasn't great but it wasn't awful. Go here for a drink and a salad and you will enjoy the view and the experience.

My husband an I had dinner here on Friday night. It has been years since we have actually eaten and not just drank here. We called ahead for an outside table, which of course was a beautiful sight! I am gluten free and was especially excited they had the items checked that were gf!! Out waitress was very nice, attentive and understood my allergies! The food was great! We got the clams casino to start which were delicious, and I got a chicken stir fry and my husband got fish. The service was really fast and they didn't skip a beat! We will be returning soon :)

Hard to imagine sitting at the bar by yourself and still receiving SLOW service, however that's just what happened. Bartender is too busy playing on the phone and chatting with the servers to tend bar.

We were seated very quickly, our server was wonderful and very conscientious even bringing ice water with lemon with her to the table to greet us, a welcome surprise on a warm day :) My husband got the veggie stir fry and added chicken, I ordered the jerk chicken salad with balsamic on our server's recommendation and it was fabulous! Our 1/2lb of spiced shrimp we had for starters didn't have enough spice on it for our taste, but the shrimp were large. We love Pussers for the beautiful waterfront seating, delicious food and good service we have come to expect over the years. If you're visiting DTA, you should give it a try!

My husband and I were visiting Annapolis for our anniversary weekend. We had heard that Pusser's was a must-see in terms of places to eat on the Annapolis waterfront. We ordered an oysters appetizer and sweet potato fries. For dinner my husband has the grilled red snapper and I had the grilled corvina special. The food was very tasty, and the portions were large. Our server was very attentive even though she seemed to be slammed with tables. On the con's side....The wait for a table was 1.5 hours for indoor seating, and 2 hours for outdoor. I have never heard of such a long wait in my life, even in the City of Philadelphia where we reside. Thanks goodness we had made a reservation on Open Table and were seated very quickly. I had also signed up for the restaurent's newsletter, and was emailed a coupon for a FREE appetizer. We showed the coupon to our server on our smartphone, and were told that the coupon must be printed in order for them to honor it?? How many travelers have access to a printer on their vacation? I think the least the restaurant could have done was honor the coupon, especially after our $65 plus dinner, and $100 plus drink bill we ran up while sitting at the outside bar. I would say that Pusser's in definitely a place you want to visit for drinks while in Annapolis, but there are much better places to eat for sure!

The ambiance of eating on the dock is worth the trip. It can't get more Annapolis than eating across from some sailboats. That said, the food is alright. My crab cake sandwich was nothing to write home about. At night, it becomes a different place. They have a dance floor and no cover. Also, it's the last stop of the night for midshipmen heading back to the Academy. It's fun and lively, even if it is dominated by midshipmen. And one last thing - they have Shiner on draft. Kudos for that.

The food was horrible, couldn't the hostess, and wait staff was friendly enough. The atmosphere by the water was about the best thing there! Even with the nice water view I most likely would not be coming back here again.

Zero stars possible or negative? A horrible experience to say the least, I strongly recommend not coming here. This review is for the rooftop Caribbean Grille Restaurant. I was at the boat show yesterday and I got hungry so I ventured up to this place to grab a bite. BIG MISTAKE!!! I went up here and they had a buffet line, I saw burgers and fries so I thought great, how can you screw up burgers and fries. Well I guess I was wrong, the people that work here knew how to do it. I got a 1/3 Cheeseburger and Fries. The american cheese slice on my burger was not melted and looked like it had just been tossed on there. The burger was ice cold and the bun was rock solid. It gets better. The fries were actually warm, but they were overseasoned to the max and I couldn't eat half of them. Well done Pussers, don't go comparing yourself to McDonalds because that would be like comparing Sizzler to Mortons. The best thing about my meal was my over priced beer.... Never again......

This is one of those venerable Annapolis institutions I had somehow never heard of in a lifetime of enjoying the city. In the end, though, I don't think I was missing much! We met some friends for drinks here on the season's first sunny afternoon. Our table drank a LOT and the server was really fun, teasing us casually about the number of drinks we ordered and how hard she had to work to keep up with us. When her shift ended she warned the next server that we were high-maintenance. But it was all (honestly!) in good fun and we appreciated her laid-back attitude. Drinks were pretty good: I enjoyed the Painkiller, which is their signature drink made with rum and fruit juices. It's not too sweet if you order two shots and sip it slowly so the ice has time to melt. My friends were drinking the Dark & Stormy, which wasn't on the menu but they made it well (ginger ale and dark rum; I think it was Gosling's.) The food was terrible. I ate one oyster and almost spit it into the harbor -- it tasted strongly metallic. I've never had one like that before and wouldn't try a second. The mussels were served in a watery broth with limp, flavorless vegetables, and they were pretty small and rubbery. The fish tacos came with iceberg lettuce and jarred salsa. The view is lovely, and I have to assume that's why most people go here: lapping waves, picturesque boats, sun sparkling on the water. Stick to liquid refreshment and you just might enjoy yourself, too!

Less then one star... Similar to the other reviewers. Dined here about three times to give them a chance, and just had the finial straw... Management is subpar at the least. Online reservation was not honored after 3hrs for deck seating. Justin manager was confused and did nothing to help out situation, so we ended up leaving & sat outside across the water immediately @ Carroll Cafe. If you're looking for a place to drink & hang this is the place. Do not recommend this place for dining with family or groups, and would avoid this place with all the other fine restaurants in Annapolis!

Worst service I've had in years. If you order a lobster, I usually get a bib and a side plate to put the shells. I asked for a bib and the waiter giggled liked I was crazy. I asked for a side plate and the guy brings a small plate. It was as if he thought "why does this guy need a second plate" Lobster was good, but that's tough to screw up.

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. I cannot begin to describe the atrocious experience my boyfriend and I had at Pusser's. From the Frat Boy giggles name to the ambiance (or lack thereof), this place would make even the most hardened college bar-hopper look around and second-guess their choices. About a month ago, boyfriend and I head down to Annapolis, one of our favorite MD towns, on one of the first warm/nice days after a particularly awful winter. We both agree that sitting on the water would be a nice change of pace from being cooped up indoors. I hit up Yelp on my phone to check out some places that featured dining by the water, and DESPITE the mixed reviews already posted about Pusser's, we decided to give it a try. Big mistake. Upon heading into the shabby foyer, we noticed that it was unbearably crowded, but figured this was par for the course on one of the first nice Spring days in the area. Speak to the host (manager?) and state our desire to be seated on the deck, ask for the wait time. His response: "Oh, we don't take reservations for the deck. You basically go out there and wait for a table to free up." OK, fair enough. Beau and I head for the outside seating area and scope out just how long this might take to decide whether or not we'll stay. See a couple that looks like they're on the tail end of their meal, decide to hang back by the entryway and wait for their table. While we wait, we attempt to ignore the uproarious commotion ten feet to our left (on the "Caribbean Grill" deck - basically a place to get loud and smashed for the 21+ set that is also technically Pusser's), we notice that a worker with a walkie-talkie is running around, glancing at tables and darting back into the restaurant. She plainly sees and passes us about five times, yet says nothing. We don't really know what her deal is, but decide that, since no one has approached us, we'd continue to hang out and wait. About 15 minutes passes when I excuse myself to the restroom. Another mistake. Ladies, if you're anything like me, you know that clean facilities should be a given when you go to first-world restaurants. I've been at outdoor concert venues, football stadiums, and even outhouses in national parks that had more class and cleanliness than this hovel. Line snaking out the door, one stall out of order, sinks looking like someone took a sledgehammer to the porcelain, out of soap, toilet paper/paper towels, and god knows what else strewn all about the floor... it looked like last call at the nastiest dive bar you can imagine - at 6:30 PM. What on EARTH would possess a restaurant to leave their restrooms looking like this, you ask? I suppose one that just doesn't give a crap about how people perceive their establishment. That, and you know what they say about how "the bathroom mirrors the kitchen" in any restaurant? That's not an exaggeration, and I shudder to think of what things looked like behind closed doors. Grossed out, I head back to boyfriend, who is still waiting by the deck, now hungry and starting to get understandably impatient. However, there's a silver lining, as we now see the couple we've been waiting on paying their check. They leave, and we quickly head over to the freshly emptied table, not worried that it wasn't bussed yet - just trying to snag the seats, when, all of a sudden, Walkie-Talkie Wonder Woman swoops over to us and snaps: "You guys can't sit here, this table is reserved." Pause for two seconds of sheer and utter shock. Then the fun starts. Boyfriend (voice low, in his awesome attorney/former cop monotone he gets when he's really, really angry) states, "I'm sorry? The manager up front told us that seating was 'up for grabs' when we first got here twenty minutes ago. What do you mean, this table is reserved?" "I mean," she quips,"that seating is up for grabs at the CARIBBEAN GRILL (she points to frat party at adjacent deck), not Pusser's Landing. You can't sit here." So, after standing and waiting for a table at the "wrong deck" for twenty minutes, wherein this woman couldn't tell us "Hey guys, sorry, but these tables are all reserved" immediately... awesome, Pusser's. Just awesome. We get up and walk out, but not before I (absolutely furious) decide to have a word with the manager. I ask him where he gets off telling people to stand and wait and "grab the first table on the deck" when there are obviously restrictions to that statement. Jowls aquiver, he blusters over how I must have "misunderstood" him initially. Here's the thing - I didn't. And in lieu of an apology for the mistake, you put it back on your customers? Ha. Pusser's, you are a true first. My first negative review on Yelp (and the internet in general), and my first (and last) visit to your horrendous excuse for a restaurant. I've never been so disgusted, and can only hope that others learn preemptively from our mistake. Don't waste your time or money here.

Posting here and on their restaurant Yelp page because it applies to the same kitchen: Very disappointed in this place. I took my family here to celebrate my little sister's high school graduation and wish we would have gone somewhere else. Our server Tes was sweet, and this review is for the overall restaurant and not so much her. My sister's girlfriend has celiac disease and despite the 'gluten free' check mark on the menu and specifically pointing out the allergy while ordering, she was doubled over in the bathroom within a few bites of her meal. She ordered the chicken curry lunch entree and whether it's cross-contamination in the kitchen or a poor understanding of what gluten is, it's absolutely not gluten-free or safe for people who suffer with celiac disease. Not eating gluten is not a fad for these people - it causes permanent and irreparable damage to their digestive tract. Not to mention how upsetting it is to vomit in public and not enjoy time celebrating with family. And who knows what happened with my meal - I order the Spicy Island Snapper and that's definitely NOT what was on my plate. My dad ordered the same thing and he got red snapper... and I got a very overcooked piece of unidentifiable white fish with zero seasoning. In dealing with our guest with an allergic reaction, I just ate the food. My mom said something to the manager on our way out. She said it looked like it went in one teenage ear, and out the other. I'm sure that message will not get passed along, so I'm making it clear here. IF YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE, DO NOT TRUST THEIR MENU ITEMS MARKED 'GLUTEN-FREE'. It's either a poor understanding of gluten or a kitchen with cross-contamination.

What's there to really do in Annapolis on a weekend night? Simple, Pusser's. Club Pus. at times is fun and easily packed after 11p during the summer nights. The deejay isn't really that amazing, pop mix, with Journey, and wait did I really just hear that?! Yeah -- it's sweet home Alabama... Really? In 2012? Lost points in my book... I am sure it was played so people would go buy drinks but still... There is a outdoor bar with boat docking. The out door bar occasionally has live music, which isn't too bad and is often covers of well known songs. 3 stars, not a food review but a late night review.

THIS PLACE WAS TERRIBLE. I would never go there. My friend got ID and was told her ID was fake yet when she came to NYC and jersey to visit it did not get questionned. I would never go to this place again. The BOUNCER (white male) was very RUDE. When i tried speaking to the MANAGER he just brushed me off and didnt think I was worth his time! I HOPE NO ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH THIS LIKE I DID BECAUSE IT RUINED OUR NIGHT. I am from jersey and NYC area and I have never been treated so poorly before and questionned about a MD ID in the same state and accused of being fake just because the signature changed and was not update! WHO IS WILLING TO PAY FOR A NEW ONE JUST FOR A SIGNATURE!!! BOUNCER AND MANAGER PLEASE GET SOME MANNERS AND LEARN HOW TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! FEDERAL HOUSE IS WHERE TO BE!

Must have - Cornflake Crusted French Toast with bananas and strawberries! Excellent 450 calories - the absolute best. 2 of my fellow diners said the pancakes were awful - tough and tasteless. 4th diner had eggs and bacon - eggs were just right and he enjoyed his meal. The waitress wasn't what I would call cheerful or friendly, even after attempts to charm her , but she was very efficient and responsive. In short she was all business but I will take that any day when the the service is good. We were seated at a window which was nice but the area outside was under construction and there was quite a mess. Guests understand that an area is under construction, but screen it or tidy things up. I think with a little work on those pancakes this would be a winner. To be fair this is a Sunday Brunch and we ordered off of the menu so perhaps they should just limit menu to brunch buffet?

We drove up to Annapolis specifically to get some seafood for dinner and stopped by Pussers for the seating on the water. If that's all you are looking for this is the place to go. But if you're interested in good food and service, pass right by.

On our first visit to Annapolis, we saw this happening bar from a distance and decided we ought to visit it the next time we're in Annapolis. And we did and we're so glad we did! We had a lovely time! And the weather was unusual... A beautiful sunset turned into a thunderous evening, but the mood of the bar was not hampered... We listened to some great live music... Watched happily drunk people dancing in the rain!! It was a beautiful experience.... Coming to food and drinks... We had the much talked about Pusser's painkiller... And that drink did not sit well with us... Probably coz we're not too fond of overtly sweet alcoholic beverages and our waitress did not ask the bartender to minus the nutmeg though we requested! Anywho... We also ordered the margarita and it was amazing!! :-) Food... We were happy with the calamari which was done well and crisp.. The marinara sauce was slightly boring though! I've had better in smaller restaurants! We then had the crab dip and were super impressed with it! We were however disappointed with the french fries which were pathetic!! French fries is not something restaurants should go wrong with!!!! Well... We had a good time overall!! So unless we find some other happening place in Annapolis, we'll still hang out here!

I was in Annapolis with a coworker and we were driving around trying to find a place to get crab cakes. He stopped in at a gas station and that guy recommended Pussers. The bread was OK, but service was horrible. My drink was always empty and I rarely saw someone to flag down for a refill. The crab cakes were ok, but I've had better for a better price. They brought the check immediately after bringing out entrees without even asking about dessert. It really seemed like they wanted us gone.

So my date brought me here this past weekend because I said I liked to dance. Upon walking up to Pusser's and seeing that this "hopping" bar on good ol' Main Street was attached to a hotel - I was a bit weary. But once inside, the buzz of the crowd, the dope beats and the drinks were off the hook. Friday and Saturday nights are packed, with many Midshipmen from the Naval Academy out and about. So ladies if you are looking for a good time and some "daddy's", this is the place to be! Try the "painkiller" (it's Pusser's speciality drink) - may possibly knock you on your butt or off the back bar dock! Either way Pussers will offer solid drinks, music and people. Not to mention you may spot a celebrity or two.. like Cowboy Troy who was there last weekend after playing for the Midshipmen at the Naval Academy. Go Navy!

Location got them one star. That is all this place has to offer. Thankfully there are many other choices in Annapolis with great views, on the water. Food was nasty and not even good enough to pass as decent 'drinking food'. Even the kids cheese pizza was worse than what we have had from the grocery stores frozen section. The shredded b-b-que sandwich was warm, at best, with an old, cold bun. It came with a side of fat they failed to discard. The fish tacos were ho hum and topped with nasty, processed cheese. The margarita we ordered was tequila and light syrup. We sent it back. Wait staff was just ok. Front staff was less than friendly. Bathrooms were dirty. Overall, I am very disappointed in this place and won't be returning.

Meh... I wanted to like this more than I did. Kind of disappointed! Yes, it has great "ambiance" if you want to use that word... it's right on the water, and it's got that boat from Wedding Crashers... I have to agree with my girl MacRae on the crab dib. It was overly creamy and I wanted more crab! And speaking of crab, the $30 crab cakes were SO AVERAGE!!! Or even below average. (sad face) The drinks are worth it here. I sampled the painkiller but didn't get one because I am not one for fruity drinks. I know that's like their signature drink and has the certain possibility of getting you drunk. I may return just because I know my friends love it, but I probably wouldn't order seafood... which is dumb because it's a seafood restaurant. I just didn't love anything I tried, and it is all overpriced!!

Went on a sunny Sunday, great view, sat on the patio. I can't comment on the food, since there were out of mussels, coconut shrimp, and oysters. We did have a few painkillers, pretty good, but only the 2 shot version was on special and the waiter didn't tell us until the 3rd round. They were also out of Corona, Corona Light, Bluemoon, and several other bottle and draft beers, and each time the waiter had to go check, while we waited, and then came back with, you are "gonna kill me we are out of that also". We talked to the manager, who did not apologize or offer any solutions, he just said we didn't order enough, I guess its his first time running a restaurant when they had 2 days of nice weather. If the waiter or hostess would have just set our expectation up front, by explaining what food/drink they did not have, we would not have been so upset and disappointed. The view was awesome, but the service, staff and mgmt was some of the worst in the Annapolis downtown area.

The food here is wonderful along with the service. Since Pusser's is a busy place most times, the service can be slow. I ordered a macho nacho which is absolutely amazing! The breakfast here is good as well. Especially, the omelets.

My crab cakes were great! However, the service received was very poor. The waitress was very inattentive & seemed as if she was scared to come to our table. My friend had to go find the waitress just to receive condiments. Worst lunch ever!!!

If you are looking for an Annapolis seafood experience-- do not bother. We should of known what the crab cake sandwich would be like by the looks of our crab dip; a ton of mayo and little crab. The crab cake sandwich was over breaded, way too much mayo and very little crab. Our waiter noticed I was picking at my sandwich and adjusted it off my bill. Also, this is not the place for a bloody mary. I requested the bloody mary with kettle one, as the traditional comes with Smirnoff, a real shame since they could use absolute pepper or even a local old bay vodka. For someone who likes a lot of spice, the drink had way too much mix and old bay. I would not return to Pusser's for dining. I would not recommend this to a friend.

Look, you're not coming here for a gourmet meal. You're coming here for edible food on the water. The drinks are a little sugary and I'd avoid the crab cakes (fishy), but you can't beat the view and there is a decent beer selection for the location. The hamburger wrapped in a grilled cheese sandwich was fantastic! The fries are good too. Our service was just okay on the first visit and was excellent on the second, both days very crowded. Arrive at 11AM if you want to get a table for a big group on the weekend. We were able to seat 12 in one spot.

Pusser's Landing. I would come here just to say the name. However, Pusser's is a GREAT place to have some libations and grub on the Annapolis waterfront. It is a lot of fun watching boats big and small alike try to navigate and park in the crowded narrow waterway. This place gets incredibly packed on the weekends so I would err on the side of caution and come EARLY for lunch if you want to guarantee the primo outdoor seating. We were seated at 11:45 for lunch and had the absolute LAST table available outside. The food is pretty good here, but you have to order the Pusser's Crab dip to start with. It is absolutely incredible. The dip is real crab and cheese served with a roll to dip. Seriously awesome stuff. Their signature cocktails are great too, the Ego Alley Iced Tea was the big hit at our table. Pusser's is a must stop for any day-trippers to Annapolis.

During the summer this place fills up quick and the wait lines are long, so plan accordingly! Make reservations or come in on off hours. Or, the bar on the dock is open seating, so if you're lucky, you can try to grab one. Just walk through to the back then take a left. You'll see the bar with an open seating sign

Husband and I spent a good deal of our time here debating how to pronounce the name. Either way, it's totally unappetizing. Kind of like Pusser's in general. I really struggled with this star rating, because the location and views of Annapolis and the Bay are fabulous -- and the sole reason we chose to eat here. But really, the location is completely squandered by this place. They may pretend to be classier than Fat Tuesday, but I was just *waiting* for a wet t-shirt contest to break out. I don't even have the motivation to go into any detail about our time at Pusser's. We waited 45 minutes for a table and ate mediocre food (overly creamy crab dip and extra poop-chute-y steamed shrimp). I had a couple requisite fruity cocktails in plastic cups. The service was spotty. Bottom line: the views aren't worth the sacrifice you'll make if you actually like food.

Food was nothing special. I got the fried oyster po' boy and it came with fries. The bread was stale and the fries cold. However, the service was fantastic. The waitress was attentive, super fast, and efficient with splitting checks for a large group. If you're staying at the hotel, venture out somewhere else for great food.

Pusser's is a solid location for having a few drinks on the Annapolis Harbor. And right outside the restaurant is Water Taxi service, so if need be, you can get around quickly. Their cocktails are to be expected. You pay anywhere between six and eight dollars for one drink. The drinks were good. And the best appetizer just may be the jerk chicken and pineapple quesadillas. The service was fine for a relaxed, "beach-like" atmosphere. We never received plates for our appetizers but other than that it's worth visiting if you'd like to enjoy the harbor views and relax.

Pusser's is that kind of place where you like the drinks, like the atmosphere, love the views and being on the water but you wish the food just matched up with the rest of it. Came here on 4th of July for an early dinner and it was about a 30-45min wait to sit outside, understandable, especially for July 4th. The boyfriend and I sat at the bar and had a few of their speciality drinks, of course the painkillers! They were good, not a 5 but I'll give them a 4. The bartender was very nice and the hostess even came right up to us at the bar when our table was ready. We sat outside right on the water and it was perfect. Our waitress, Carla was very attentive and nice. As an appetizer we ordered the crab dip which was actually really good and creamy but I don't remember too much crab meat in it. I feel like they didn't have much options on the menu but for our entrees I got the jerk chicken wrap and the boyfriend got the fish tacos. He really liked the tacos and said the fish was really fresh and flavorful but not the best he's ever had. I wanted more from the jerk chicken wrap it was kind of bland and the chicken had a weird texture maybe? In the sandwich is tasted dry and then when I tasted it by itself it was tender and juicy... weird. Maybe I am a picky eater? The french fries were really crunchy just like I like them! Nice place to eat on the water and I'm sure even more fun at night with live music.

I have been going to Pussers off and on over the last 15 years because I LOVE Annapolis Waterfront and go there every chance that I can. Unfortunately there are not too many good places to eat there and even a few good ones have come and gone. Pussers has survived because of the hotel business and fantastic location with tables available right there on the waterfront. The ambiance cannot be beat. However, the food and service have done a dove tail over the years and I am getting to the point of not going back. I went back there for dinner last night with a friend largely because there were no other acceptable choices. I had the salmon tower and my friend had the curried chicken. My salmon came almost raw and had to be sent back. When returned it was cooked but the entire meal was unappetizing drowned in sweet sauce with no other seasonings. My friend liked her meal OK but both were $20 meals and absolutely not worth the money. Our service was however wonderful. The server was attentive, available, and generally served with excellence. So no complaints there. The view was unequalled. So no complaints there. It is sad and short sighted of the management to not capitalize on their VERY good "thing" and hire a reputable head chef that would turn out good food. There would be no" want" of customers at this restaurant especially considering the lack of competition. Also a great opportunity for a good restaurant to open their doors in Annapolis waterfront and give Pussers a "run for their money" I'm just saying..........

If I visit a restaurant and the service is poor but the food excellent, I'll probably come back. If the food is poor but the service is excellent, I probably won't. But when both are bad, it's time to retire the place from my list of where-to-take-guests-when-they-visit-from-Europe...like I (unfortunately) did on this evening. I used to come here fairly often, but that was over seven years ago. Just before visiting the other night, I checked the Yelp reviews and was surprised at all of the negative ones. Surely they must be mistaken! This is Pusser's Landing. No. They were not. I made a reservation and arrived on time but our group of five wound up waiting for a table anyway. Upon being seated the server arrived, handed us menu, and couldn't get away fast enough. It took a long time for him to come back, and throughout the evening he seemed completely indifferent to us and our experience as a whole. I'd find out later why... I ordered the Jerk Chicken Pineapple Quesadillas to start and followed up with the Coconut Crunchy Shrimp. The quesadillas were okay. The shrimp not so much (if you want the ultimate coconut crunchy shrimp experience, fly out to Denver and visit Elways. I reviewed that as well if you want more detail on coc shrimp done right!). One unique annoyance during this entire evening was a couple two tables over from us. They had a huge tripod set up with a camera and big mounted flash bulb stands. They were photographing various dishes on their table. I don't know if they were pros taking photos for a magazine or just extremely psychotic about their Facebook pictures. But I kid you not, this went on for over 90 minutes. Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash! Flash! I was seeing spots for the rest of the night. Oh and remember the waiter who seemed indifferent? The check explained it all. They add an automatic 20% gratuity to your bill. And then they take audacity to a new level by adding a little line on the bill that says "Additional Tip _______." NIce try. Ummmmm lemme think....no. Why would I tip you more for already taking 20% without permission? I'm a very good tipper, too. So you really just shorted yourself. So I was giving this guy a good tip not matter what he did. And he knew it. And showed it. Isn't that a little like being generous with someone else's money? Imagine, you walk into a restaurant, finish your meal, and the manager comes out, puts his hand in your pocket, and pulls out your wallet. Then upon opening it he says "Why thank you very much, I'll just take this extra $40 and hand it to my server for taking care of you this evening. If you'd like to leave a little extra, please do so. I promise not to reach into your wallet again." Okay. My rant is complete. And I do feel a little better. With large groups, I get it. I used to be a waiter and it was always the big groups that stiffed me. But come on, guys! We're a party of five. That's not even a real "party." So maybe my rant wasn't complete. But it is now. I promise. So I guess you know I don't recommend this place at all anymore. Except maybe if you're looking for a job. You can work decent hours, be by the water, hear some hip music, ignore your customers completely, and still get tipped at least 20% per table.

Average food, so-so service and overall service left me with a bad taste in my mouth. In fact I found a hair in my pasta. Went to Pusser's at the suggestion a co-worker. The Sunday Buffet was recommended. When first entering the restaurant, my girlfriend and I were greeted by the hostesses. We inquired about the Sunday Buffet, which they were unsure if a buffet even existed. About a few minutes, the hostesses figured out that a buffet did exist. The rest of my visit was very lackluster. The buffet offerings were your standard buffet food. With Pusser's being on the water one would have thought that some seafood offerings would have existed. At the end of the service, we explain to the waitress of the hair findings in my pasta. She seemed uninterested in the hair I found. Upon leaving the restaurant, did not receive a greeting as we left. A simple "Have a Good Day" or something along those lines would have gone a long way.

Visited on Sun, Jun 1, 2014. We did not wait to sit on the outdoor deck, but chose to sit inside to have dinner sooner. I enjoyed my Salmon Stack, my husband had the Fish and Chips. Staff was polite, helpful (recommended the Salmon Stack among other choices), and efficient. We might have enjoyed our meal more if we sat on the deck on watched ships and boats pass by. Fairly spendy for indoor service. We did appreciate the historical photos displayed on the walls.

I was a little nervous about the mixed reviews. Glad I took a chance! Fantastic Mother's Day brunch... Our very picky party of 10 was pleased . Gorgeous views of the water and the staff was awesome. My only gripe was that some of the food was cold, but the fantastic bloody marys made up for it.

A friend who lived in Annapolis for a few years recommended Pusser's and it couldn't have been a better recommendation. Even when we told the trolley operator where we wanted to get off, someone on the trolley said that we'd love it and that the crab cakes there are delicious. Well, Pusser's did not disappoint! They had a wonderful drink list and I got the crab cake platter. I was going back and forth between the crab cake sandwich and the crab cake platter, and I got the platter thinking it would come with more than one crab cake considering it was the platter, but it just comes with one. So next time, I'd probably get the crab cake sandwich because it'd be more filling. Our waitress Allison was incredibly friendly and when she saw us looking at our tourist map at the end of the meal, offered recommendations on ice cream places to check out when we told her what we were looking for a good place for dessert. Pusser's has a great view right on the Annapolis waterfront. I can't wait to go back in the warmer weather!

I was pretty disappointed with the food at Pusser's. The steamed lobster was fine, and it was cleaned properly. But it came with overcooked corn on the cob and undercooked red potatoes that left much to be desired. The clams casino had too much cheese, making them greasy. My date's fish was so thoroughly covered in Bearnaise sauce there could have been anything under there, you wouldn't have known. The drinks were yummy, and the view outside on the dock is to die for. The service is slow and not that helpful. The menu has gluten-free items marked clearly, which is good because I have no confidence that the waitstaff had the capacity to remember that kind of information.

Woof! This place is gross. Smells like rotting seafood and crowded with obnoxious rednecks. The only reason to go here is because it is the only bar/restaurant on the water in downtown Annapolis.

Literally nothing special about this establishment. I've eaten here twice once and neither time was I impressed. The first time I ate here I had the rum glazed ribs and the crab dip. Both menu items were lacking any flavor at all. I'm not the type of person to put salt and pepper on there food, but for Pussers food I'll make an exception. The second time I went I got the crab cakes. If you're gonna make crab cakes in Maryland learn to make crab cakes c'mon now you can't rely on tarter sauce to give your food flavor. The positive thing I have to say about the place is that if you are lucky enough to get a seat on the water the view is spectacular. Also the staff is very nice and attentive both waiters that we had did a great job. Personally I'd skip over this place the next time I'm in downtown Annapolis.

Awesome location, the food not so good. We started with the coconut shrimp, it was decent. My husband ordered the surf and turf, he was not impressed. My crab cake was fried mayonnaise with hints of crab. The drinks were weak. With this restaurant, you are paying for the ambiance not much else.

I had the salad with salmon and it was one of the worst food I have ever had. Got sick the next day. We sat outside next to the water but from table you could actually the garage, the cars, and the staff sitting area. They couldn't bother to close the door to the garage. Despite the outrageous prices and the lousy food, they give you plastic silverwear and plastic cups for wine. The wine cup blew away and spilled all over my friend. The bear that we had of course in a cup was warm. The service was just as bad as the food. Save yourselves a lot of money and go somewhere else.

Something has changed at Pusser's. I have taken my son there for his birthday lunch for the past 3 years. This year, it was not a good experience in any way. I made reservations and arrived on time. We were told that there were no tables available on the deck, but we could either have a table inside (no, the whole point of this lunch is to be dockside) or in the outdoor bar area. We were told it was "just about the same" with the same menu. Yep, same menu -- and same prices -- but for plastic flatware, plastic cups, paper napkins, uncomfortable chairs, loud music, poor service, and a definite "bar" atmosphere even at noon on a weekday. I was disappointed right off the bat and told our server. His reaction was to stand and offer a shrinking apology. He reminded me of a child being reprimanded rather than a professional interested in my feedback and eager to find a solution. We proceeded to order our drinks. I ordered a virgin pina colada for my son -- another birthday tradition. My shrinking server shrunk some more as he told me that there would be no frozen drinks today. I had to ask why to receive a reason. First, I was told their "machine" for the outdoor bar was broken. I asked him to get it from the inside bar. He told me that the manager said that was not allowed. I asked him if I could go inside and buy the darned drink and bring it out to my table. "Uh, I suppose, but then every other customer would want to do the same thing, so I would rather you didn't." I, again, felt as if I was in a school classroom. The server came back a few minutes later telling me that the supplier for their frozen drinks (?? mixes??) had not delivered and, therefore, no frozen drinks from the inside bar either. He did not suggest any alternatives and left us with water in plastic cups. We ordered our food -- 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. We were not 2 bites into the appetizer when the entrees came. My son had to choose which of his food to enjoy while it was hot and which to let get cold -- the calamari or the crab cakes. Poor service again. My fruit salad was marginal at best, with sloppy cuts of fruit (looked like the oddments and leftovers), unripe melon (adding insult to injury when my plastic fork could not penetrate it), and half of it not being dressed. Our meal was over and the check was delivered exactly 32 minutes after we sat down. Our server did not one thing to make our meal more enjoyable and offered an after-thought, "Oh, and happy birthday" as he left us for the final time. This was quite a change from our experience last year and the year before. We will find a new place for our annual birthday lunch next year. I was completely let down and turned off by Pusser's and will not be back.

The worst food I ever had, I ordered a Pussers tropical salad with Crab which cause me to be sick the following day. The whole thing was a bit like a fast food restaurant, it was terrible!!! The service was very poor...McDonald would have been a better choice!

    1. They recommend the Painkiller for a reason. It IS the best drink in the house. 2. If you have reservations, you can't reserve the outdoors, it's first come first serve. 3. Watching the boats go down Ego Alley is quite fun, especially with fun people and a Painkiller or two. 4. Decent selection of non-seafood for anti-seafood people like me and my fiance. 5. Get the banana dessert. 4 1/2 stars.

Pusser's is far better in the summer than in the winter, but still good no matter when you go. It can be a little hard to find for those who aren't familiar with Annapolis, and if you don't know where to park you could be hoofing it for a while, but once you're there you'll be just fine. Get the jerk chicken & pineapple quesadilla........just do it. It's on the appetizer menu, but it's big enough to be a meal all by itself. And if it's warm outside, sit out on the deck and listen to some reggae. If it's cold, just stay at the bar and have a painkiller......it'll fix all your winter blues.

We went for my favorite ladies birthday dinner. We got there about 2 hours before our reservation to enjoy the back deck with their live music and people bringing their boats to the docks. The drinks were good....they have YUENGLING which made my night because it's my favorite beer and normally u don't find it down here....I'm from Atlantic City....the food was great.....apple pie dessert was awesome...servicewas great. ....to top the night off a drunk guy tried getting on to his boat and fell off into the water....luckily he was okay but it was soooo fuckin funny!!!

Don't go here. DJ Veritas was terrible. Oil and vinegar mix better than he does. Inside Dance scene was 19 year olds with bad fake ids. Outside on the water front was nice except for 20 something girls smoking everywhere. Go anywhere else.

The best thing about Pussers is the Pain Killer. No doubt, my favorite Caribbean drink. I've been to the Pussers in the BVI's and I am sure I only drank there....The only food item we ordered was wings and they were ok - nothing special. I go to Pussers for the fun and rowdy. The best experience? BVI's for sure.

Underwhelming is an understatement. Food was really so so. We wanted to have a late lunch by the water. They refused to seat is in the deck area. We were 5. They said it would be unsafe. Bathroom stunk. Not exactly all that clean, and the food was barely meh. It's more a 1.5 star. Just feeling generous and rounding it up to a 2. My husband ordered red meat, it was overcooked. They didn't even ask how he wanted it cooked.

We met here before our Woodwind sunset sail. The beer and the views are awesome! It's a fun an lively place to hang out. The food is ok -bar food good. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp. I had so many good meals during my vacation that this one was lacking comparably. Come here for a beer and burger and I bet you will have a good experience. but the views on sitting on the water is the main reason to come here.

Along with a group of colleagues, I was treated to a wonderful dinner here while on a business trip. The place had me at first impression: big, beautiful windows, overlooking the water and what was obviously a session of a nearby sailing school. Though the wind was cold, I stepped out onto the deck for a few minutes to appreciate the view and the water. I enjoyed the twisted bread loaf -- a dark rye mixed with a traditional white bread roll, which is awesome. I'd never heard of crab cakes until my first trip to Maryland in the late 1980s, and no other crab cake I've had since has lived up to that standard. Pusser's did. They were light, pleasantly flaky, and flavorful. The portion came with two cakes, along with steamed vegetables and black beans and rice. The vegetables were delicious, not just a filler. Actually wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked green beans, carrots, and broccoli. The black beans and rice had a spicy flavor, and I'd have eaten more of them if I hadn't filled up on crab cakes and veggies.

I went to Annapolis boat show today. This restaurant was close by so six of decided to go to this restaurant for the lunch. Big mistake. Foods just weren't that good. We ordered pasta, Caribbean cob salad, hamburger, crab cake, taco, etc.. Remarkably, none of the foods were really good. Never again.

I stopped by this place for some mid day cocktails and dessert so I can't say much for the actual food on the menu. The drinks were pretty good even though the wait staff got out drinks mixed up and I ended up drinking the drink that my friend ordered and she ended up with mine.. Luckily we liked each others drinks more than our own! The waitress seemed a little frazzled but it was a beautiful day that I didn't even notice that it took her 20 minutes to bring us napkins.. Overall it was a decent time, the drinks were good, the view was nice and the day was beautiful! The services.. I've had better

  • Christopher P.

The best thing about it seems to be the location right on the water. Great view, but being right on the water can only image how many people end up in the water on a typical Friday or Saturday night. We asked around to the natives, but everyone denied it happens on a regular basis. I am skeptical of that. We didn't try the food, just did some day drinking when it got a little warmer. The service was a little slow but if you just want to enjoy a few drinks on the water, this is a good place to try.

This place has been somewhere I have gone the last few years instead of the old traditional Irish pubs for food. Their waterfront seating on a nice day and choices of fish and seafood is wonderful. Snapper is one of my favorite dishes ther blackened with mango salsa. Carribbean food flavorings are an absolute delight. I even bought the Pusser's Rum. For those who do not understand their name "Pussers" its English lol. Prices are excellent for the food, drinks, service and view. Lot cheaper than D.C. prices and get a lot more. Make a reservation or put your name on their list because wait times tend to be more than 2 hours during weekends.

I had a ball. Yummy distinctively Maryland food with plenty of Caribbean drink options in a beautiful spot. Took the hubby here for a taste of my home town and we had crab cakes and more crab cakes. Yum yum. The Maryland soup had big lumps of crab meat and the drinks were just the right amount of strong. The mashed sweet potatoes were my favorite, though.

Another Mother's Day with horrible bathrooms! Disgusting floors oh and the bathrooms, did I mention this? Hot interior, young tough guy managers more worried about sitting outside in the wrong seat than all the food on the floor between settings! Young teenage waitstaff who are clueless. last time with no parking for our party of 12 to deal with this BS! Nice new deck unopened for a huge day, kudos to this lack luster management staff! Hire some more teens and don't train them in customer service! Yuppie Dump!

For food, Pusser's is less than one star. We had two types of fish, previously frozen and dreadful. Even the french fries were bad. For drinks, nice that you are on the water, service is a little slow. Mainly because it is packed. If you go, drink hard otherwise how crowded it is and how drunk everyone is will annoy you.

Pretty cool place! We visited this place on a busy night. We grabbed seats at the bar and had a painkiller. That drink was awesome! We people watched and watched boats go by. It was a fun time. We didn't try the food or anything. I took one star off because nobody fell into the water while I was there.

Super suck. I was already tipsy, but even a good buzz couldn't help me have a good time here. Took absolutely forever for us to get some attention from the bartender to get a quick drink order in. We all got the drink they are famous for, the World Famous Pusser's Painkiller, and it was...not good. After later looking at the drink ingredients I'd bet $50 the bartender didn't even give us the right drink. Also, we had some fun getting bitched out by some drunk dude for standing within fifteen feet of his boat, although the thing looked like it was about to start sinking in 3...2...1... Def got the the vibe that it was all about the locals. Fine by me. I was staying at the Marriott and took my two weeks of business elsewhere.

  • Chuck S.

This is a place to drink not a place to eat. It's pretty awful food-wise. I'm sure that an average Burger King has more flavor than any food from that kitchen. I would come here to party, as there is no cover and the drink prices aren't awful. But beware, a lot of midshipmen frequent this place. Be prepared for a decent amount of amateur hour.

  • Mary M.

When we decided to eat here, I was skeptical -- it's in the Marriott and generally I'm against hotel food, however, I was pleasantly surprised -- we ordered light fare -- the crab dip (delicious!), crab soup (pretty good but spicy) and French fries (very good!). My friends ordered the un and it looked awesome -- tons of meat and very fresh! The only thing that didn't seem great was the salmon tacos, the guac was brown and seemed like the nasty packaged kind and the fish just didn't look appealing. The pricing was reasonable as well -- I was very pleasantly surprised!

This review is for food only! This is a great spot to have drinks and watch the boats! We waited for a table and finally got sat. We watched a bus boy clean the table behind us and dumped the water and lemon from the table right into the bay...kinda gross. Then we get our calamari app, which was so disgusting and rubbery, we sent it back. Something my husband hates to do but there was no way we were eating or paying for something that tasted like it was from the frozen food department. Coconut shrimp app was okay though. Tl:dr: go for drinks at the bar...and watch out for lemons in the bay courtesy of the pussers bus boys..

We dined here before heading across the street to see a show at the ASGT. I made reservations on Open Table just a day prior. When we arrived in Annapolis, we had to search for a while to find a parking spot. When we finally checked in with the hostess at Pusser's, it was 20 minutes after our scheduled reservation. The hostess was delightful and honored the reservation and we were seated right away. We both started off with a Caesar salad which was nothing amazing, but good. It was also served very quickly. I had the shrimp and grits. It was delicious. It had a coconut curry sauce and tons of fresh veggies throughout the dish. My friend had the crabcake dinner, and substitutes fries for the rice. She was very pleased and said it was exactly what she'd expect of a Maryland crabcake. The peach sangria was great, and overall the service was nice. It was very loud inside but also packed, so that's to be expected. My only wish is that we had been able to sit outside. I'd definitely go back again!

Went to the dock bar portion of the restaurant for a friend's 21st birthday party - the location is cool, and that's about it. Maybe I'm used to going to bars with a more laid back and less touristy ambiance, but this place was just....dreadful. There's very little space to accommodate the large crowd it attracts, so if it's busy you'll end up basically sitting on someone's table while they eat. The service was awful, too - as a particularly baby-faced 22 year old (with a very valid Maryland ID) I have never received so much trouble - and borderline harassment - from a bouncer questioning the validity of my license. It made me incredibly uncomfortable, having someone yell questions about me in reference to EVERY DETAIL on my license. ALSO this place is way overpriced! $7 for a draft blue moon in a PLASTIC CUP? No thanks. You can go to any chain restaurant during happy hour (when I was there) and get the same beer in a nice, clean glass for $3-4. I didn't have anything to eat here, so I can't speak for the food- only the horrible tourist trap that is their dock bar. I'll go to Ram's Head next time.

Ate here today for the second time. This restaurant is in a hotel and is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There is a parking lot with meters (they take coins and credit cards) right next to the restaurant that both times has had plenty of parking. The restaurant looks out at the bay, and you see the water taxis. Last time they had covered seating outside on the water, but today the waterside seating was under renovation, but no matter it was 37 degrees and drizzling. It was a group of five of us. Between the five of us we ordered: a bacon cheeseburger, a jerk chicken wrap, Jamaican wings, calamari, a Cobb salad, and lobster bisque. Everyone really liked what they ordered and everyone loved the french fries! It is pretty cheap too. I think $9 for wings, $10 for bacon cheeseburger and fries, etc.

Painkiller #4 for breakfas Pussers in Annapolis is not Road Town Tortolla,BVI. But it is still Pussers. I happen to love Pusser's Painkillers and this place looked like a good waypoint before flying out of Baltimore for home. They make a great Painkiller here. The atmosphere is very Pussers. Art on the wall reminds you of Road Town. There is a great gift shop (managed by Kimberly) for Pussers junkies. The sad part about Pusser's is the food is just OK. I had the crabcake and the Fish and Chips. I was very unimpressed with both. HOWEVER, I will be back in that area in a week or so for another Painkillker (or 2). This would be 5 stars from me if the food was better.

Nice place to sit, relax, take some sun, and drink a cold beverage. However, the food was not what I expected. Not bad but I expected better. It could have been a 4 or higher but because of the food it gets a solid 3.

My family and a guest went to Pusser's for a Sunday dinner, arriving about 6:15. Very few customers were in dining area (less than 20%), and 4-5 were sitting at the bar. Food quality was uneven. Three members of our party ordered the same dish which was excellent. My son and I both ordered the Prime Rib special, medium rare. In all the establishments where I have ordered prime rib, this was undoubtedly the most unappetizing. The cut was 1/2" thick so it was overdone, no marbling, so it ended up very tough and dry. Service was only so-so, and we had to flag down the waitress twice to bring our check because she was chatting with others (we had previously told her we were under a time crunch, and would need the check quickly). Overall, not really the experience we were expecting from a name hotel in a prime location on the water in DTA.

Woof. I cant believe how poor the food here was. From the looks of the place, you would expect it to be really good food. The type of place that you get excited about. What a bummer. What a let down. Quite possibly the worst food Ive ever had.

I love this place!! Great cocktails, great food. My only concern was with the size of the crowd on the outdoor 'landing' area. For this reason I would give 4.5 stars if that were an option. At 3 pm on a Saturday there was a 45 minutes wait for a table outside. We were told we could go to the outdoor bar area, which was self-seating, but it was so crowded that after 10 minutes of waiting to get through the crowd just to reach the bar and place an order, we resigned and grabbed a table at the inside bar. It wasn't crowded inside, we got a server, and food and drinks came out incredibly quickly. The Rum Punch was good, but the Hard Lemonade/Tea was even better!! I had the crab cake with rice and veggies - delicious! For $15 I felt there was a really good amount of crab, very little 'filler'. The SO had the fish tacos - which were also excellent. Waiter was pleasant, and brought everything in good time. Would have been even nicer if we could have snagged a table outside!!

Okay, so this place is fun if you're looking for FUN. This is not the kind of place you go to have a nice dinner with the family. This is a place you go to get drunk, if you're in a bachelorette party, or if you've had a very, very bad day and are looking to get drunk on a dock and dream about the boats you can't afford. Been here a few times and each time I think, "wow, I really AM an adult", and "did I look/act like that when I was in college?" The crowd is either 1. young, 2. just coming from a Navy game, 3. older folks who have a lot of money and are showing off their boats to the young people coming from a Navy game. The rum is great, the food is pretty decent. It's kind of hard to find if you've never been there and it's attached to a hotel. They do parties--saw a wedding reception and a high school reunion there.

I am 26 years old, and was denied service for a rum punch at 7 pm due to an out of state ID that they suspected was fraudulent. Before being escorted off the premises by security, the waiter said that it wasn't his decision, and upon returning I would be compensated with the drink I ordered. Pusser's manager "Josh" seized my drivers license and it was up to me to contact Annapolis PD to get it back. After 20 minutes of waiting outside and confirming that the ID I presented was officially issued, the manager took me back to the same table and the initial waiter ignored my party. I requested a manager to honor the offer of the first waiter and Josh told me that he still had doubts about the legitimacy of my drivers license, again seized my drivers license, and told me to call the police a second time in order to recover it. Of course I was escorted outside again by both Josh and a 250+ pound security guard for intimidation purposes. Obviously, I did contact the police a second time, and Josh returned it to me and told me to "try it somewhere else". (Aren't restaurants required to seize IDs they suspect are fraudulent?) While waiting outside for the police, Josh returned to the restaurant and told me to "not come back inside". The same officer, irritated to be called a second time, returned and told me that his department had received several complaints of patrons of age being denied service this summer. He then suggested I take my business to another place in Annapolis. Again: 26 years old, drivers license legitimacy denied by Pusser's then confirmed by a police officer, denied service a second time because Josh thought he knew better than a police database of drivers licenses. Stay away if you have an out of state ID.

I was hesitant on writing this... but changed my mind just now with the voicemail I received. We were up in Annapolis for my husband's birthday a couple weeks ago and decided to make a quick stop into Pusser's. We were with a large group and only went in for a drink and decided to head on to the next bar. I inadvertently did not close out my tab at the patio bar, and so my debit card was still with them. I did not realize until the next morning, but knew that was where I left it. I called Pusser's and spoke with a hostess who told me the manager onsite would need to check and call me back after leaving my name, and a description of the card. Manager calls me back, and tells me THEY HAVE MY CARD. Hubby and I drive up from VA to Annapolis later that day to retrieve card. After about 30 minutes of the manager looking for my card, he tells me (rudely) that they do not have my card. I explain to him over and over that I was told it was there, so it had to be somewhere in their establishment. He continues to tell me it is not, and that I am the rude one and to leave. I call back the next morning to speak to the manager who told me over the phone it was there... and he goes on to say he never spoke with me. UNREAL. I would have just cancelled the card to begin with instead of going through all this hassle, but was traveling out of the country that Monday, and needed my card. Flash forward to today, and I have a voicemail from a hostess at Pusser's saying "This is Pusser's, we have your card, not sure if you knew that". ARE YOU SERIOUS??!!! After two managers belittled me and made me feel like I was the rude person who didn't know where my card was, it was there after all- just like I was told in the beginning. Sketchy business, and rude, incompetent management. We made it a point to stop in Pusser's anytime we went to Annapolis. We will not be back again. Unreal.

I ate here yesterday and the view was nice. The customer service was nice. However the food was absolutely horrible. I ordered the flounder fish sandwich and it was cold, burnt, and had absolutely no flavor at all. They also need to take the "Caribbean" out of the title. I was with a friend who is actually from the Caribbean and the restaurant didn't have anything he wanted. That was my first and last time.

Got a table on the water and could not have been more comfortable. The service was fast and great for the most part. Gotta get here early enough before it turns into a club. Good food, great view and service. Give it a shot.

I used to love this bar until last night when the bouncers took two Naval Officers in a choke hold and dragged them out of a bar for NO REASON. Will never return again and the word as spread to other naval officers and midshipmen. Shame on you.

This place is not easy to find at all! We had to call to ask for the location and for parking. My grandmother was with us so we needed handicap parking and they told us there was parking next door. They didn't tell us that parking was a $20 flat fee and that the hotel had valet parking for only $15. All they needed to say when we called is "we are located in the Marriott, you can valet here!" How difficult is that? Instead they told us to park on side streets or pay to park...bad advice especially for a woman with special needs. Once we arrived, the hostess asked us if we wanted to do the buffet brunch...when we asked if there were any other options she said, no. So if you know there were no other options so why ask? This place and very highly recommended but I have to say that within the first five minutes of being exposed to Pusser's we are not impressed. The view may be nice but they seriously need to reconsider their ADA accessibility and their customer service. We over heard them tell a table that the brunch buffet was only $8.95 but then had to come back and correct the price to $18.95 because it had the pasta bar and everything. Now let's talk about customer service, aside from the hostesses not being knowledgeable about parking nor being hospitable it took us over 10 minutes to get ice water and menus. We also made reservations for 10:30 and since we didn't get water until 10:48 it was too late for us to order breakfast since the kitchen was switching over for lunch but we insisted since we waited so long for service. Luckily Kate made up for all of the craziness with her happy disposition and her willingness to assist us with our orders! And their drink menu was something that we could live with - try the Caribbean screwdriver which includes citric peach, orange juice, pineapple, and creme of coconut! Doesn't that sound refreshing?? The other good thing, if you are looking for deals is that mimosas and bloody Mary's are $3 during brunch. We also lucked out with fact food service!!! It came out so quickly! The up side!

This review only pertains to the night life. My cousin and I rolled in here on a Friday night. I had no idea where he was taking me. When I later learned the bar was attached to a Marriott, I was pleasantly surprised, both by the crowd and the fact that this bar hadn't already been shut down as a result of hotel guest complaints. Between the band in one room, the DJ in another and the noise coming off the water from all the people crowded by the long outdoor bar, I don't know how anyone staying here gets any sleep. Then again, all the guests may just be at the bar and have nothing to complain about except a hangover the next day. I also can't believe nobody fell into the bay given how narrow the boardwalk space is between the bar and the ledge with the only thing preventing a slip overboard is a rope about as thin as dental floss.

We came here for dinner and a view. The outdoor seating had an hour wait so we opted out for a patio seat. We ordered a crab dip, crab cake salad, and fish and chips. The food was mediocre and overpriced in my opinion. The fish and chips were way too oily. Crab cake salad was pretty good with chunky crab pieces and an interesting mix of greens. I would try another restaurant next time I go to Annapolis.

Location is great, right on the water .They have an awesome huge outside bar and patio overlooking the water, and a pretty large bar and dance area inside as well. It was pretty empty around 10-1030 but started to fill up around 11. Crowd was ok, a little dude-heavy. Make sure to try a Painkiller. They sprinkle nutmeg in it, and it's really tasty. Service from the bartenders was really good. Service from the servers was really bad, I think something might be wrong with their procedure for greeting/seating guests, or how they handle a new guest sitting down. Also, I guess cause I'm used to DC prices, it seemed really really cheap. Most of the mixed drinks and shots were like 5-6 bucks. Combine that with the really cool location, I think a drink on the patio at Pusser's is a smart move if you're visiting Annapolis.

Caribbean??? Not at all, they should just call this a place on the water that has great ambiance with horrible food. I would say come here for the drink but even they are not that great. I've been here a few times and I can honestly say I cam here for the view. The food, to me, tasted like it's all frozen and reheated food. Let's just say I wasn't impressed. This place has lots of potential, they just need to bring it out. I'm giving it two stars only bc it has a nice view but if it was based on the food, I would only give them one.

Fun place but the wait staff was less than friendly as we spent over $1,000. We had to chase the staff down for more food and drinks and food was delivered with no napkins and silverware. Fortunately being dockside kept is distracted. This place needs to step up their game a bit.

This is a party bar. Not great for food. I would need two Martinis under my belt and maybe I would not notice the poorly prepared dishes. Great for some serious drinking. They make great cocktails. GF had a Manhattan she really liked. I stuck to water!! Be prepared for rowdy crowd. Tables by water are all broken and wobbly. Hate that. Also place is really dirty. My head was next to a broken wall sign full of dirt at eye level inches from my face. Staff was friendly. This place thrives on location.

Got outdoor seating along the water. Yeah! Had lunch with a friend. Used the free appetizer coupon. Had calamari -- done perfectly well. I had a cheeseburger with yummy fries. She had a fish entrée, and was very happy with taste. I have to have unsweet iced tea with lemon. They had it, done well. And gave refills. Brandon was our server and was great.

I was there this past weekend for a long weekend and went to Pussar's each night for more the nightlife than the food. It is right on the Annapolis Harbor so the scenery is amazing. I am a big boat fan so I loved that all of the boats road by. There is also a dock to pull a boat up to. The food is good but nothing special. We went for brunch and hoped to sit outside but they told us that brunch was only served inside. We were pretty disappointed at this but overall had a good time at Pussar's. I recommend more for the nightlife, atmosphere and view than the food itself.

We went for breakfast on the deck. After some initial confusion because we did not want the buffet the experience was good. The breakfast was very good. 3 had egg Benedict, one with the crab added and I had the All American. All eggs cooked to perfection. The best part was the boat watching. It was a sunny warm Sunday morning with plenty of traffic This restaurant is inside the Marriot with valet parking (which they did not tell us about) or a very expensive lot near by. Recommend it.

Went here to meet some friends over the weekend and I wasn't impressed. Parking is a nightmare. If you're lucky, you can find a metered spot, but there aren't many. The parking lot closest to the restaurant is a RIDICULOUS $20 flat rate but after driving in circles for 20 minutes, I bit the bullet. The atmosphere at the restaurant is nice and the weather was perfect for outdoor seating, but that was the best part of the night. The food and drinks were so overpriced and it was just average bar food. The coconut shrimp was $10 and we only got three shrimp. The drinks were small and the cups were so full of ice that you were done in three sips and we only saw our waiter when he took our orders and brought the check. I'd steer clear of this place. There are way better bars in Annapolis with a view.

Great views. Try to get a table out by the water and enjoy crab cake sandwiches, cold beer, and nice boats going by.

Their painkillers and the view are the only things that make their bar worth going to. Usually a pretty generic dj plays typical top 40s and 90's/early 00's throwbacks while the staff waits on a sloppy crowd with less than notable service. Basically, if you're looking for a fun night this is a nice place to start, but there are better places to end your night and spend your money.

Was in town on business and some family in the area took me to Pusser's Caribbean Grille. Funny name- Serious food!! It was right on the water, which definitely contributed to the charm. As we walked through the dining room, I was noticing some serious looking seafood dishes. I realized pretty quickly, we were about to get down in here! For a starter, they told me the local hype was the Maryland crab dip. So, I had to try it. And I'm glad I did - It was awesome! It came with a baguette that we ripped off and all took turns dunking into this incredible crab dip. So flavorful with big hunks of crab meat! For my entre, I ordered a special, which was the grilled Mahi Mahi with skewers of bacon wrapped shrimp on top. Came with saffron rice and asparagus. Amazing! Fish was cooked perfectly. Flaky and light. Bacon wrapped shrimp were decadent. Seating right on the water! They also had a DJ and this place was hoppin' late into the night! Great place- Lots of fun and great food. Appetizer, Drinks, and food for me and My wife came to 107.00. We might have had a few drinks though....it was Saturday night in the summer time and we were with Italian family....

This review is for Pusser's as a "dock bar"... It does have pierside seating, typically a live acoustic soloist on the weekends, you can arrive by boat, and their signature "Painkiller" rum drinks are worth a try. So technically it qualifies as a dock bar, but... The downside that anyone who's a local Annapolitan will tell you, Pusser's is the biggest tourist trap in downtown Annapolis, so it's always jam packed outside. It's also a chain restaurant, which is another strike in my book. The pier side dining is crammed into a little strip of decking that's only about 10 feet wide. And while it is overlooking the water, the strip of water between you and the other side of Annapolis harbor is only about 40 yards wide. The few people that tie up to Pussers tend to be in smaller boats. If you show up in anything beyond about 25 feet, you'll be blocking out the sun for anyone sitting near where you tie up. The food is ok at Pussers, but nothing nearly as spectacular as the prices would suggest. If you arrive by boat, my suggestion would be to tie up near the guy playing guitar, have a painkiller or two, and then move on. There are a lot of other dock bars in the area with less tourists and more of a party atmosphere.

Man,I always forget to review places I go to when I am out of town!! Here is an oldie but a goodie PUSSER'S. Sounds.. well it sounds gross. BUT, I must say, it is a really cool local spot. I'm from MD and used to hang here on the reg. (As we say) DO get the softshell crabsammy DON'T be an a**hat and stay after last call.

It's got a good view if you sit outside that's about it. Contrary to other people's suggestions I would personally tell you to stay away from the painkiller drink. Or if you get one get the low level one or two; because the less you can taste their rum the better. Mine was so incredibly strong I couldn't even enjoy it, I took one sip of it and told our waitress about how awfully strong and gross it was in the nicest way possible. I apologized many times and she took it back and asked what I would like instead. In the end I still got charged for it. Our waitress also said like one word to us. I enjoyed the view that's all I can say about this place unfortunately.. Esp seeing as we waited two hours to sit outside.............oh and my boyfriend got sick from the food

  • Ashley B.

I've gone to this place a couple of times and I really don't enjoy it. I'm not drinking any alcohol, so I'm really just evaluating the food and atmosphere. The location and overall festive feel are the only elements propping up these 2 stars. The food has been pretty awful. I've had the jerk chicken quesadilla, the coconut rum shrimp, the seasoned french fries and the pepperoni pizza over the course of my visits. It's all super generic and a general waste of time and calories to consume. I'm sure I'll be back, since it's a popular place among friends, but I won't be looking forward to it!

HAPPY HOUR was not so happy when check came for drinks. Top shelf prices charged for 3 drinks when we specifically stated 'bar whiskey". Questioned bartender about cost and he said he would need to check with manager. Who wants to make a scene at the bar at HAPPY HOUR! Watch your bar bill when going to HAPPY HOUR!

Service was good nice seats by the water. Gave it a 3 because the food was just ok except for the crab dip that was really good. I had the crab-cakes and was not impressed with it. Ive had better crab-cakes in Virginia. The steamed mixed vegetable side lacked flavor and was still hard for my liking. Just a ok restaurant.

STOP murdering the damn oysters! If you can't shuck the thing and make it look good (presentation 101), than stop shucking! Sloppy sloppy... After a dozen or so visits I give up! As for the Bloody Mary's... Add some damn blood!

Prime location on the Annapolis Waterfront but the food is horrible. One day, I hope management updates the staff uniforms from those dreadful, dowdy printed shirts that make them look like orphans from 1910.

My parents wanted to bring the family here for our Christmas Eve dinner. The ratings & reviews made me a little nervous, but I held my tongue and tried to be optimistic. After all, they liked it, right? Plus, I didn't want to be the grinch that pissed all over Christmas. ***CURRIED CHICKEN SAUTÉ - Boneless chicken thighs, jerk rubbed, seared and sliced, then tossed with pineapple, peppers, onions, and garlic. Finished with our West Indian coconut curry sauce and topped with rice This was kinda mediocre I guess, but just too syrupy to be enjoyable, like they accidentally dropped in a box of corn starch or something. Little curry flavor, extremely light. It was also painfully sweet--no contrast, no subtlety, just rot-your-teeth, thanks-for-the-cavities sweet. The meat chunks were simple and uninteresting, the pineapple was (guess what) too sweet for this curry, and the bell peppers were meh. They're rarely anything else. *** SEAFOOD TORTELLINI - Cream sauce with shrimp, scallops, crab, & bell pepper This wasn't on the menu--it was a special. Or should I say it was especially bad. There were pretty big, potentially yummy chunks of seafood in there, but they were poisoned by the odd alfredo wannabe with bell peppers (this chef's got a major hard-on for bell peppers). Discount grocery tortellini with grocery store plastic container of pre-shredded parmesan for slothful chefs who don't mind infecting their dishes with plasticky stale parmesan. If I had known how the food would taste and how large the portions would be (and that I would be paying for my portion), I would've ordered only one dish--whatever the cheapest one was. Godbless.

  • Christine A.

The location is great - waterfront seating, outdoor space, tie your boat and hop right on up to the outdoor bar! Excellent for viewing fireworks on the 4th of July, if you can elbow yourself in and find a seat. That's where the buck stops though. The food is awful; probably one of the worst bar food in this area. The alcoholic beverages are more expensive than most of the neighboring bars. I believe Buds were $5 or $6, and cheap imports like Corona were $7. Rip-off! I you want decent bar food, good music, and a good time, go to Federal House or Dock Street instead. A very touristy and low standard establishment. Don't say I never warned ya!

    (2)
  • Viv G.

I think it's safe to say people only come here for the waterfront view. The food (at least the bar food) is nothing special. The drinks are overpriced. (The famous Pain Killers are strong, but enough to give you a stomachache afterwards.) The service was decent, but the clientele is kind of douchey. (The bro population is heavy) No happy hour outside, only in the isolated bar section, which has no view whatsoever.

    (2)
  • Laura M.

5 stars for the view, 3 stars for the food = 4 stars overall. The food is typical Caribbean style, nothing special. But, it certainly wasn't bad either. You go there for the view! I'd definitely recommend sitting outside and watching the boat traffic in Annapolis! Definitely a great time. Also, the white peach sangria is great for summer :)

We went on a weekend. Big mistake! Annapolis was crowded. No available street parking, so we parked at the hotel which houses the restaurant. There is no self-parking, only valet, and it's not cheap at $14. The valets changed every setting in the vehicle--really ridiculous just to drive the car up a ramp! We wanted to eat outside but the wait was lengthy, so we opted for an indoor table with a window view. The food was underwhelming. I had the jerk chicken wrap which I do not recommend. The chicken tasted like the pre-packaged variety one finds at the local grocery store salad bar. The accompanying fries were smothered with some gross seasoning. Everything was way too salty. The only thing worthwhile here is the view.

    (3)
  • Alina V.

If you are coming here to eat, don't do it. The service is NOT so great. We were seated for about 30 minutes before someone finally came over to take our order. The food is nothing special either. The 3 stars is given solely to the outside bar and the view. If you are coming here for drinks on a hot summer day, then I say do it. The outside ambiance is great and the view is really nice (just don't fall in the water) and the bartenders are very fast with drinks. The inside, not so much. Just a bunch of servers and kids running around like headless chickens.

Come here for drinks and people watching. If you are a native you'll see at least 20 people from highschool, if you are just visiting you will get to watch these people go bananas at seeing each other. The kitchen staff thrives on mediocrity, no awards to be won here... Gordon Ramsey or Bar Rescue, your assistance is requested. The value of the meal did not match the cost. The salmon tower was much too sweet for any fish dish. Our friend had the steak diane, it was essentially a roast beef cut with canned gravy and mashed potatoes. I had the shrimp and grits, which was again much too sweet for any seafood dish. In annapolis land of Old Bay, these folks were lacking. I am a firm believer of not using any accessories when eating a meal(salt, pepper, a1 etc), the only way these dishes were palatable was with a heaping dose of both salt and pepper. In fact the best part of the meal was the grilled pineapple slice the shrimp skewer appetizer was plugged into.
