Desperately needed a cold one and a snack after dropping a freshman at Bentley. Saw the reviews and pictures and this looked like the place. Thursday afternoon around 3 so just a few in there but the place looked nice and bring. Location was a little tricky to find (tucked in behind an auto repair shop) but after passing by once we found it on the second try. Bartender was very friendly and hospitable and the draft beer was excellent. Now I know draft beer sounds simple, but I am amazed at how few places get it right. It's simple, the right cooler/kegarator temperature, the right PSI and clean lines translate to an excellent draft beer. I can taste the difference in an instant and I knew whoever maintains the lines/system here is meticulous about it (the way I am with my home system). Thank you! My wife and I just split the city nachos with buffalo chicken and a burger. The nachos were awesome - a ton of flavor and a huge helping. That alone probably would have done the trick. Nice burger cooked properly and some very flavorful sweet potato fries with it. A very quick stop but just what we needed after an emotional day! Thanks yelpers for helping us find it! p.s. - there was a sign inside that said moving to a new location Fall 2015. I saw it on the way out or I would have asked about it but just something to be aware of.

I have only been here three times, and, I am sad to say, but, my last two trips here have been less than mediocre. I'm starting to wonder if my first review was based off first timers luck? Let's start with my second visit about a month ago. We sat at a pub table in the bar, we were served fairly quickly. Dinner was good, but, then we wanted a desert menu. We were told they offered two deserts and were out of both. We then asked if they had plain vanilla ice cream which, we were again told they were out of? Who runs out of desert? (You will notice my first review also mentioned a desert fiasco).. My third (and most recent) visit was this past Thursday. A friend and I sat at a pub table in the bar, my friend was there about 15 minutes before me, she had a drink. It was about another 15 minutes before we could even get a waitress to say "Hi" to, as, there were about 4 members of wait staff concerned about the screw up of a veggie burger at the table next to us. (not to mention one of the wait staff sitting with his girl friend at the bar). It was about 6pm and it was not busy. We finally got a waitress and things started to pick up. My friend ordered a BBQ chicken flatbread. Well, when it arrived she noticed there was no BBQ sauce. When the waitress came back, we told her and she said "Oh, yes, we ran out of BBQ sauce and I didn't think of it." But, we ordered a BBQ chicken flat bread, how did that slip? She took it off the bill, but, my friend didn't get to eat dinner. Either this place has a horrible inventory manager OR the bar area doesn't want to bother with serving food and doesn't want to deal with anything except their bar customers? Whatever the case, I have no interest in ever going back. It's too bad because the food is pretty decent. I gave two stars because this might be a place where take out may be the better route?

My family and I stopped in for a bite after a local competition, fairly later on the evening, completely depending on Yelp for a recommendation. We were not disappointed. We walked in to a vibrant atmosphere and were greeted almost immediately as we took in the restaurant/ bar. There was a function going on in the side room so it was a little loud but nothing to complain about as I felt it added something to the atmosphere overall. We ordered sirloin tips, a hamburger and a quesadilla as our main entrees and the food was brought out quickly after ordering. Their speed did not in any way effect the quality of food as we enjoyed every bite of our meals! The waitress was kind and courteous, helping us make some decisions and never pushy but always there to answer a question or check in on our small group throughout dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a bite to eat and is not from the area!

City Streets is a fun place with burgers and beer -- of course, right next to a fitness center. So, when you finish with a game of tennis, you can make sure to put back on the calories you lost. (Just joking.) The food here is way above average. Excellent burgers and nice salads. Plenty of pub food.

City Street is a place that you would drive by if you didn't know it was there. I've been here twice, both time my meals and drinks were great. The first time I came here, I HAD to get the Mac n Cheese burger. To my surprise, it was excellent! Definitely a meal where your pants will not fit the next day, but you should try it. My second meal was the California Cobb salad, and again it was amazing. Tons of vegetables and very fresh! The bar is very nice, but our second time we went there was an event going on, so the bar area was packed. The drink menu is great with specialty martinis, cocktails and beer. They also have a limited selection of wine. The wait staff and front hosts have always been super friendly and quick with service. I really enjoy this bar but have to keep reminding myself that is is near me! The parking lot for this restaurant can be very packed, so be warned! This has to do with all of the businesses and gym in the area.

I've passed this place so many times since movin' on up to the other side of the 'Tham, but even at this distance from Moody the thought of going to a strip mall bar wedged between a body shop and a gym is a bit of a surrender to suburbia. Then comes trivia, and my reason for visiting. I'm not going to rate them down negatively for it, since it's contracted to Geeks who Drink, but the ambience got dragged down when we were treated to an entire "guess the song" round with Chubaka overlaid song lyrics. You can't make this up. Not even a tequila shot could numb the pain. Wings were decent, although the "city sauce" was pretty mediocre, go for buffalo. Prices here are near equal to most pubs in Waltham, but honestly, I'd forgo Thursday nights if Yoda is on song duty next week.

This place really isn't that great. Reminds me of a 99 kind of chain restaurant. Wings came out cold. Pulled pork was smothered in sauce and clearly had been microwaved (pork was all hard). My sangria had zero alcohol in it. The one good thing is the place had good service. Really nice waitress. But, needless to say we won't be coming back.

My colleagues and I came here for drinks and appetizers. First, I loved that they had a huge parking lot, although it was almost filled, which is a good sign, but the restaurant had room for more people. I liked the booths. Service was a little slow. We couldn't get our waitress, although the manager helped and was very accomodating. Their draft beers and appetizers were very good. Can't wait to go back and try their burgers, which look great on the photos!

Service was attentive but EVERYTHING was overcooked!!!!! I asked for a medium rare burger it came out medium well. My wife got the chicken finger sandwich which was "ok" and her steak fries were so over done that my daughter was making drum sounds on the table. We had nachos to start. They were decent but again old stale nachos and burnt cheese. We live in Waltham and wanted this to work but it was a HUGE disappointment. We won't be back.

Hidden gem here. Awesome beer selection, tons of menu choices, much more than your typical pub/bar menu, very affordable, fast, and friendly service. 5 stars is something I rarely, if ever, give. I will come back again the next time I'm in west Boston.

I've been coming here off and on, but I recently fell in love with the French onion soup and house salad with the house dressing, Walnut something. The Bomb!

My boyfriend and I were hankering for a good burger without having to break the bank as you often have to do in New England if you want cheese or any other GOOD stuff on your burger (seriously $9-10 for a hamburger plus $1 per topping?). City Streets has the typical $9 base as well BUT they also have STUFFED BURGERS - which is absolutely necessary for me to capitalize because they were that good. These burgers are $10-12 max and they come with all the good stuff if not on the burger then inside it. I got a Cajun Stuffed Burger - i like a kick and was craving the spice - and my boyfriend got the Mac n Cheese Stuffed Burger (that's the one most people reviewed or rave about). The Arancini appetizer, which is a risotto ball stuffed with cheese and served with pomodoro sauce, was amaze-balls as well. Another plus was that they have a pretty extensive drink/cocktail menu. I introduced Will to his first ever Mudslide and it was not only delicious but also affordable! The place shares a lot with the Waltham Athletic Center and other places so I think it goes by unnoticed but it is definitely worth a visit!

Went to City Streets because it was close to where I was staying and because of the great reviews on Yelp. Thank you all for the advice. The house specialty is the Mac and cheese burger. Such a different combo I had to try it. Great burger! The fried risotto balls were a new experience for me as well. Superb! They have Painting and Wine night every other Wednesday. Very cool place.

Glad I found this place. It's easy to miss as it''s nestled in a little plaza. Server very friendly, food came out quickly. Actually went during wing night. 10 bucks for all you can eat on Mondays. My buddies got steak tips and a chicken prosciutto sautee. Outstanding. Will definitely be back.

City Streets Restaurant was recommend to me by the hotel I was staying at so I stopped by for dinner one night. They served up a really good bacon cheeseburger with a freshly made bun, generous amounts of bacon, and fresh toppings. It hit the spot! My burger was a little expensive though, coming in at over $13 with toppings. The base burger was $9 and my toppings (bacon, cheddar cheese, and grilled onions) bumped up the cost. But it was worth it. Don't let the name fool you, City Streets Restaurant also has a fully stocked bar with beers on tap and a full liquor menu. It feels like a local hangout and a good place to spend some time with friends or watch a game.

Wow, some of my Yelp friends REALLY like this place. I picked it based on Yelp reviews x distance from my office for my birthday lunch. When we got to the nondescript building I realized that I drive by there every single day on my way to work and had never noticed it was a restaurant. The best part is the menu. A couple of different healthy choices and a ton of stuffed burgers, making it a great spot for me to take my man, the hamburglar. I had the Tomato, Cucumber & Mozzarella salad with chicken. It was pretty good. The decor is comfortable but not particularly fancy or modern. I do like the old fire station pictures a lot. The service was fairly good. The waiter initially wouldn't make my friend some burger special without the bacon and cheese, but when we explained that just meant leaving the bacon and cheese off, he agreed. There was a short delay between bringing out half our table's food and the other half, but otherwise, it was fine. They did well with our group of seven. Based on the lack of many good restaurants near my office, I'm guessing we'll be back.

When I originally went to City Street about two years ago for a friend's birthday, I questioned the location and had to look it up. I had never heard of it and had no idea where in Waltham in was. I had few expectations but quickly realized that the place was actually pretty awesome. So much so that my wife and I even decided to have our wedding rehearsal dinner there. We are big fans of the place and try to patronize it often, especially since we live fairly close to it now. City Streets is located just north of downtown Waltham, right on Lexington Street. It's fairly easy to spot and they have a large, private lot with plenty of parking that they share with the Waltham Athletic Club, a salon and an auto maintenance shop. The place itself is pretty spacious and features 3 rooms. The first and main one has a long bar and a few high top tables where ones can eat some of the food. Then there's two side rooms which serve as overflow for the main room and the rooms can also be rented out for private events. This is what we did for our rehearsal dinner, and it was perfect and easily accommodated all 26 guests. As far as the dining goes there, everything I've had there has been great. Much better than your average bar food and not much more expensive either. I've had nearly all of their appetizers from the fried pickles ($8.95), their spinach and artichoke dip ($8.95), their arancini ($8.95) and their jumbo wings ($9.95). Each has been fantastic and they have numerous others including their crab rangoon dip, potato skins, crab cakes, nachos and a few others. None are above $10.50 excluding the platter which is $13.95 and which enables you to select three different ones to share with some friends. As far as the entrees go, I've a huge fan of their honey chicken & almond salad ($12.95) which is a heaping serving of mixed greens and romaine with some honey mustard dressing tossed alongside some carrots, tomatoes, wonton strips and some angel hair pasta. It's massive, and it's tasty. Other entrees of theirs are great as well including their California Cobb salad ($12.95) and their French onion soup. They also have seafood dishes, stuffed burgers ( ! ) and various other grill items as well like sirloin tips ($15.95) and even mac and cheese ($11.95). Did I also mention that they frequently run seasonal specials? They do. Right now they offer lobster mac and cheese, ribs, crab cake sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches and even a watermelon & kiwi salad - each a part of their summer special menu. Awesome stuff. The service is always very friendly there, and my only real gripe with the place is that their craft beer selection while decent, is also quite limited. That aside the place is fantastic and I cannot recommend it highly enough. They were also very helpful in helping us design and pick the menu for our rehearsal dinner and the manager even swung by a few times to check on us. I'm very happy to have such a place within a short drive of my place and look forward to more visits in the future whether it be for a beer or some food. Or both.

Conversation at 2:30PM on a Sunday afternoon: Bf: I want a burger. Me: Me too - let's try someplace new but close. Bf: Ok - you pick. Me: How about City Streets? So we drive to the restaurant, heading down Lexington St towards Main St in Waltham. And what happens? We miss the turn. At least it's easy to get back to once you figure out where it's located. The one downside of this place is indeed the location - one would never suspect that it was situated next to an auto shop. It's hard to discern the signage and realize that City Streets is right in front of you. Now for the upside: - Super friendly staff: Despite the place being dead in between mealtimes, the bartender greeted us cordially and was extremely friendly as he took our meal orders. One of the owners also stopped at our table and chatted us up, asking for our opinion of the decor. - Really good burgers: I ordered the City Burger with American cheese and bacon, and the bf ordered the American stuffed burger with a side of mac and cheese. My burger came with a side of steak fries. We devoured the burgers in about 5 minutes, and the rest of our food not long after. - Decent prices: Our meal came to around $30 (with tip). What I expected for "decorative" burgers. Perhaps this place won't be as dead the next time I come back.

I have been here several times over the last year, but tonight was exemplary. A friend from Texas is working in the area and staying in Waltham. I suggested we go to City Streets because of the excellent meals I've had here in the past. We arrived at 5:15 or so, and seated ourselves at a 4 top near the window. Our server arrived promptly and took our drink orders. I ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer. OMG...so good! My friend and I chatted for a bit then ordered dinner. She had the Crab Cake sandwich with fries and I had the Chicken and Prosciutto with Rigatoni. Delicious dish with just enough garlic butter and parsley. I couldn't finish my meal, and neither could my companion. I was looking forward to taking the rest of my meal home for later on, as was she. Here's the kicker. I excused myself to use the rest room, and our server came by to clear the table. He misunderstood my friend when he asked if we wanted to "box up" or leftovers. He thought she said no...um...yeah. I asked for our checks, and our "to-go" boxes and this look of absolute horror comes across his face. He threw away our meals. Tossed. Disposed of. He apologized and said he could go to the kitchen and replace our meals. I said it wasn't necessary, that mistakes happen. He thanked us for being so cooperative. We received our checks, and both meals were "comped." I was stunned. We didn't ask for our meals to be comped, nor did we expect it. It was an amazing example of customer service. I will tell everyone to go to City Streets. The food is GREAT and the service is better. It's too bad I don't live here in Waltham.

My first encounter with City Streets was a call in pick up order and I'm definitely not one to judge a restaurant unless I'm sitting in it so I'll hold off on the Stuffed Mac and Cheese Burger that I had. I decided one night after work that I would attend $5 Wing Night my friends in the area bailed on me and my gf was out of town for work. So I decided I'll just be a loner by myself, eating a ton of wings like a caveman and do my thing. They have a ton of space by the bar and in separate rooms, this would make a great place to have a party or some type of gathering if you needed to rent a place out. Parking can be kind of a disaster as you have an auto body shop, and also a gym right next to City Streets, it also comes up on you fast if you aren't from the area so make sure you look for the signs. Now to the $5 Dollar Wing Night, it only occurs on Sunday and Monday from 5 pm I think until about 10 pm maybe later but you'll have to call to confirm that. You also have to purchase a drink in order to get the wings deal, more than fine by me. I grabbed myself a Guinness and then went to town. You get about a plate of 9-10 wings of your selected flavor, and it's all you can eat. I got through 2 plates of Golden BBQ, 2 Plates of Salt and Pepper (which actually surprisingly were my favorite), 1 Plate of Honey BBQ, 1 Plate of Cajun Dusted and 1 Plate of the Signature City sauce. THAT'S A WHOLE LOTTA WINGS! But surprisingly they were all very very good. I'll definitely be going back soon and exploring more food. But if you like WINGS then this is your spot, especially in the fall with NFL Sunday and Monday Night Football. So far so good City Streets!

I have gone here twice, well kinda once but I'll explain that. The first time was for a veryyy late lunch to catch a game, the parking lot was packed so we thought we wouldn't even get a seat but we walked in and there was a ton of seating still available, didn't seem packed at all, so that was great. Unfortunately the 2 side areas (which have TVs) do not actually have volume and we couldn't hear it from the main bar area, that sucked and seems to be a completely unnecessary issue. So we order our food and after 50 minutes of waiting, the game was over and we had no food. We had to wait another 10 minutes and asked for them to box it up. We have jobs and couldn't take that long of a break. As I mentioned earlier not really that full in there so why did it take an hour to get our food? So we left and I only work 5 minutes away so I was into my food quite quickly. The stuffed burger was mediocre, I don't understand the claims of huge praise their burgers receive, and the fries were limp, soggy, and undercooked... so you took an hour on my food and it was greatly undercooked??? Anyways I decided to go back to catch another game, except when I got there they were closed due to some construction going on. Mind you I looked at their website 3 times that day to check the calendar to see if they list the games they are showing, they don't, but they also didn't list that they would be completely CLOSED for a few days. Shouldn't you put that on your website under "going-ons", calendar, or ANYWHERE?! Welp after those experiences I don't even care to try again. I don't care how many people on Yelp actually enjoy this place.

We've driven by this place countless times, but have always been skeptical about trying it because it looks like it's either part of the auto repair place or gym that it's next to. We finally looked at the menu and confirmed they can accommodate a gluten allergy and we gave it a shot. The space is bigger than you expect, but they had a private party so all the normal diners were relegated to the small dining room off to the left. There were still tv's, but it felt a bit crowded and there were kids everywhere. It would've been nice to sit by the bar at a high top table. While they can accommodate gluten allergies, they don't have a specific menu or a dedicated fryer so Celiacs are stuck with sandwiches/burgers with no bun or salads. I had the honey and chicken almond salad, which was very tasty and a good amount of food for $12. My sister had the burger and she was impressed with how well it was cooked and how good it tasted. The breadless turkey club was also good, but not particularly memorable. Weak beer selection - not much interesting beyond the usual subjects on tap.

My boyfriend and I decided to try City Streets after seeing it on Phantom Gourmet. We love bar food so we were totally in after seeing the show. Ironically, this place shares a parking lot with a gym. We managed to find a spot, but we were lucky, I could see the parking lot being difficult to navigate on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and the waitress was very friendly. They have a decent tap selection and even a good selection of wines and cocktails (I like a place that actually has a specialty drink menu). I had the Watermelon Soda and it was very refreshing. My bf and I shared the fried pickles, he got a burger and I had the steak and potato salad (sounds weird, but it was so good). Everything was delicious and the service was very good, I appreciate it when a waitress comes to check on you even when it's busy. The only hard part of the meal was trying to decide what to order, it all sounded so good. We will definitely be going back!

I love this restaurant. Been there a dozen or so times and will continue to go. Found it randomly when trying to pick a location that was a good half way point for my friend and me. I have never had a bad meal there, and I feel that the entrees and appetizer options are unique (like the must-try crab rangoon dip!). The servers are all wonderful, too. We always look forward to coming back. Only issue is parking can be a nightmare, especially when there is a Paint Nite or something going on at the next door gym. Other than that, City Streets is the best!

Great little hidden bar/resturaunt Ive been here for food and drinks and really like it... ive ordered their Mac & Cheese, burgers, skins and wings throughout my trips there.... all very good.. The staff is great.... just an all around good spot for a night out or just for dinner.

Honestly speechless, just went here for wing night which is a great deal and usually is a solid dinner. Got five orders between me and my gf and there were feathers still on some of the wings. Really should have said something to the waitress but was definitely taken off guard. I have always been a fan of this place but feathers still on food is far from acceptable.

great food, shitty service. there were three parties seated at tables in the dining room, six people total, so not too busy for our waiter, but he had friends at the bar. we wanted to get a second round of drinks, but he never came over to us. we waited about 10 minutes after we finished eating and he came back to the dining room. one of the other tables had a complaint about their wine, so he went to talk to them and went to get them new wine. he waited while they tasted it, but then left the dining room again. another 5 minutes passed and he came back, we asked for the check, which he brought right away. we waited another 10 minutes for him to pick up the check, and then i went to the bar to pay it. the bartender asked the hostess, "who is in the dining room?" the hostess gestured to the waiter who was sitting at the bar, hugging and talking to his friends. i said, "we've been waiting awhile, can you ring us up?" the hostess said yes, she'd right back with our change. we sat down again, waited another 5 minutes, then put on our coats. we waited a bit longer, then went back to the bar. i asked for my change, the hostess said the waiter was ringing it up. he had difficulty, and a different man said he had to ring it up at a different register. i asked the man if he was the manager, and he said he was. i told him that the food was great, but the service was terrible, that the waiter left us waiting for 20 minutes after we finished eating, and that we would have had another drink, but he never came back. the manager didn't offer to comp us anything, or take anything off of our tab. he said, "he's been working here since we opened, he's never done that before". while i was having this conversation with the manager, the waiter was still talking to the woman at the bar, she was scratching his back. finally the waiter came back with our change. ther is no reason to have such poor service, it was a very slow night (maybe it always is? this was our first time there). i hope the manager discusses this with the waiter. maybe if the service matched the food (which was excellent), they'd have more than 6 people in the dining room on a friday night? given the other 1, 2 and three star reviews on here, the service is an ongoing problem!

A mixed experience. I had dinner here with friends the other night. To drink, I ordered a White Sangria which hardly could be called Sangria. It tasted only of pineapple juice, and if there was any wine in there I certainly couldn't taste it. To eat, I ordered the Grilled Salmon. The salmon itself was perfectly prepared--moist and very tasty. The oven-roasted green beans that came with it were also well prepared and tasty. The jasmine rice these were served with was downright nasty. It was strewn across the plate in clumpy clots and tasted as if it had been mixed with spoiled cheese. My friend who ordered the same dish asked if my rice tasted funny because hers tasted "weird", so it wasn't just me that thought so. I can't recommend the place for dinner or drinks. There are better options for both food and drink nearby.

I have visited this local joint a few times in the past couple of weeks, purely based on its rating on Yelp. Initially, I visited on a date and had a delicious steak tip salad. It was so good I told my friends about the food. The salad was like no other I had seen at other local bars and I completely cleared the plate. Then I visited with a colleague and had a club sandwich which was very good, hard to get wrong but still very tasty. Finally I went with some guys from work for the $5 all you can eat wings. I was surprised by the variety offered as well as the quality, the three flavours I tried were delicious and a steal at just $5! Great place for all occasions, well worth a visit.

I have been here twice now, and have not had a good experience either time. My family went two years ago. We ordered our drinks and ordered food when they were brought back to us. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and asked for sauteed onions which I was told was no problem. After a normal wait, the waitress brought the food to our table, except for my burger. She told me they were cooking the onions and it would be a couple of minutes. Well, close to 20 minutes passed before my burger came out. It was obvious she lied to me and never put the order in for my burger. By the time my food came out, my family was done eating. I only ate about half of my dinner because I did not want to make my family wait any longer. I emailed the restaurant to let them know what happened and they took steps to make it right. Last night we went back for the first time since then. There was couple sitting at the bar and we were the only other people there. Same routine as before. We ordered out drinks and then our food. After we ordered our food, two other groups came in and they ordered their food. While we are waiting for our food, one of the other groups that came in after us gets their food! The hostess then comes over to us and tells us that the computers went down when our order was entered! Really?? I'm not sure I'm buying the fact the computers went down for the 10-15 seconds it took to put the order in. The second group that came in after us received their food and 30 minutes after we ordered, our food finally came out. I ordered the stuffed bacon cheddar burger and found the bacon to be disgusting. It was a big piece of floppy fat. They did take care of us and did not charge us for our meals (kid eat free the night we went) and only charged us for our drinks. Needless to say, we will not be going back here again.

Finally! A family friendly restaurant in Waltham with some healthy options. Tonight we enjoyed the honey chicken almond salad and the sirloin tips. We substituted sweet potato fries for the mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and the service was fast. We also ordered the macaroni and cheese from the kids menu and it was yummy! The location is not ideal, but there's plenty of parking and it is easy to find right on Lexington Street.

The service is particularly good here, the staff is always friendly and attentive. The burgers are excellent as well. Great neighborhood spot.

Very very good...nice atmosphere...great service....good selection of beers.....clean, busy, and vibey. Went with a great friend to catch....shared some wings...9/10, and the crab rangoons inside outside dip....4/10. Jalepeno stuffed burgers and ribs to follow...Both with steak fries. ....solid solid food....definitely a repeat

Great restaurant tucked away in Waltham. I loved the atmosphere and clientele, would be a good spot to watch a game. I had the burger which was delicious and have had their salads - also great. A friend of mine got the mac 'n cheese burger and said it was delicious. Awesome place, I'll be back.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty dead. We had the side dining room to ourselves. We split a frozen raspberry ($7) and I ordered a mac and cheese stuffed burger ($10.50). The burger wasn't too good but I got it because it was recommended. The cheese was pretty flavorless and I hated the texture of the macaraoni. The burger was generally pretty bland and I didn't enjoy eating it. The fries it came with were pretty good though. Decor was a slightly more upscale than a typical sports bar. Probably would've given the place two stars if the service hadn't been so good (ie friendly and responsive).

Came again tonight, love the French onion soup. I tried to chicken pot pie! while the hubby had a stuffed burger with cheese and bacon. Both delish! This place is our current date night spot :)

Burgers-cold and dry. Crab Cakes-sewage. Food-overpriced. Atmosphere-loud. I really wanted to call this place a hidden gem. But getting sick after giving the place a chance more than 3 times is just my fault. They have my favorite--steak fries, too. But still, can't give a good review.

Standard American fare, sort of known for their stuffed burgers. I had the burger stuffed with cheese, fried egg, and bacon. The burger came with fries. I didn't really taste the bacon, but the egg and cheese were there. The portion size was huge though and I was very full and satisfied.

It's so hard to grade this place. We've gotten gift certificates and eaten there a few times. First of all I don't like to sit there while college age kids are standing around socializing. I can't believe anyone would consider it a 'family' restaurant. We really like the burgers when they're cooked like we ask, but unfortunately it's not that often. It's a nice idea but I don't feel I've ever gotten a 'stuffed' burger because there's barely any stuffing. I find myself really wishing this place was better because you can clearly see they work so hard, are so nice and the place is very clean.

I really enjoy this place and have been here numerous of times with my friends. The stuffed burgers are amazing! And the summer menu is great as well (crab cake salad is delicious!) It's a great place to go for lunch, dinner or late night and they have drinks named after streets in Boston which are all yummy. On game nights (especially for Bruins) it gets pretty packed, but I don't remember having to wait more than 15 minutes to get a table. The staff is really friendly and the menu has a large selection. I say it's a good spot for a date night as well! They have a room over to the side that I find more quiet and relaxing if you don't want to be apart of the whole crowd. Even though this is not a Mexican place, they make a darn good sirloin quesadilla. Highly recommend it! Side note - Phantom Gourmet has reviewed them as a "(Phantastic Meal Deal" and they also host Paint Nite

Great food and service. I was really impressed with the Cajun burger. One bite and I knew that it didn't stand a chance. Again, the service was efficient and friendly. I also know that the owner does a lot of work with local charities, which is a plus in my book. I will be back and would recommend it to those thinking of trying some great food at reasonable prices!

City Streets is a pretty awesome bar, although you would never know about it unless someone brought you there; the bar is hidden between an auto-repair shop and a fitness gym. The staff is friendly and personable. All you can eat wings for $5 dollars on Sundays and Mondays, which is my go-to spot for Monday night Bruins playoff games. Good burgers, great stuffed burgers, amazing pot pie, fantastic pastas. New menu with like 10 new items on it as of last week sometime. My only beef with these guys is they: 1) have no clue how to make their wings spicier. Every time I order buffalo wings, I say SPICIER and they just give me the same buffalo sauce. Its not hard to make something spicier, just toss some crushed red pepper or cayanne in there. Literally, 5 weeks in a row, I say make it spicier. I want to go back to the kitchen and slap the cook on duty. SPICIER DUDE, SPICIER. 2) They dont have carrots. At all. I dont know about you, but when I get buffalo wings I want them SPICIER and I want carrots and celery. They just give you 3 pieces of celery. Wheres my carrots guys?! Seriously. Add carrots to your grocery list you numb-brains. Its not that hard. I literally was told to bring my own. So now I know, and I bring my own carrots on wing night. Too Long, Didnt Read.... Food is amazing, wings need to be spicier, they need to buy carrots, and they need to LISTEN to their customers when they ask for SPICIER and CARROTS.

Love this place. I go all the time. You wouldn't know it from the outside that the food is well above average for new england pub/american dining/bar cuisine. Staff is really friendly and you get a real i've been here 100 times before feeling even if you've only been there a couple times. Took off 1 star only because i think if you haven't been there before it's a weird location and nobody's perfect expcept for my last review of Ashland Auto Service on Alden st. But thanks for all the great service, drinks, and food city streets!

Just down the street from me. I love this place. All you can eat wings are great and they seem to be building up a steady costumer base. Salads aren't very good. Also, city streets, if you're listening: PUT CHEESE ON YOUR POTATO SKINS.

This is another case where I wish yelp had half stars. I'd give 3.5, but I'll give city streets the benefit of the doubt and do 4. First the good. My turkey burger was delicious. Moist, flavorful, great bun, really good sweet potato fries. My wife got the crab cakes. Also good. 2 good sized cakes full of lump crab. Only thing I'd change is the mountain of shoe string potatoes they sat on. Seemed odd, but maybe that's just me. I side of rice pilaf or something seems more appropriate. The negatives. Atmosphere is pretty bland. Not their fault. If this place was on moody street it'd be packed. Beers were a little pricey at 6 bucks. I feel like 5 is kind of Waltham standard. And my only food complaint, the crab Rangoon dip had "krab". Still tasted pretty good but I think i was expecting real crab so it threw me off. We'd go back.

I went here last week with my boyfriend for dinner. The food was amazing! We had the zucchini strips appetizer and I had the Cobb salad for dinner. Both were delicious. My boyfriend had steak and he said it was really good as well. The only thing in really saw as a negative was the outside appear and signage on the street. It doesn't seem as if there is a restaurant in the plaza and the outside of the building itself is not inviting. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area!

Flat beer, bad service, too expensive. Should have known better based on location. Don't waste your money or time. If you want a Mac and cheese burger - go to the Cheesecake Factory.

This place is okay, sort of random location wise, but my boy told me about the stuffed burgers so i said "why not? we always go to the same spots, lets switch things up." I didnt get the burger, but I got the boneless wings..they were really good. Spicy yet sweet. The fries are fat and tasty and Id occasionally rub them on the left over sauce on the plate. Good price, I was overall satisfied.

  • Consuelo V.

The food is ok. The chicken entrees are not impressive. The French dip is good. Nachos are good without fail, but be explicit about the toppings you want. Stay away from chicken, though. Really. Nothing special. Eating at the place is best before late night, when it becomes sort of a townie meat market.

I love City Streets. It has become our go-to easy date night. (No need to dress up; it's super easy, affordable, and no need for reservations.) I wouldn't come here for a fancy romantic night or anything, but it's pretty great for when we feel like not cooking. Bartender (Ron?) is actually a master, so go ahead and order something complicated. He'll make it well. They have a gluten-free menu. I mean, what local bar & grill joint in Waltham, Freaking Massachusetts can pull that out for you? The chefs obviously spent time working on good entrees even though most people just get wings and beer and come in to watch football. Good spot for whatever you're looking for.

This is the place formerly known as Legends Sports Pub. It's under new management now and has had some good upgrades. The food menu has enough choices to satisfy almost anyone. The food is fresh and tastes fine. They should have Keno up and running shortly too.

I went there after work the other day with a few friends to decompress and have a few drinks/appetizers. The staff was very nice. There were enough televisions in the bar section to satisfy any sports fan. We pretty much ordered the standard bar food: wings, nachos and arancini. None of which was anything special. The table had several beers and a mix drink. The cost was a bit above average for the area/service. Our waiter was a little flustered initially. We ordered a beer and got charged for it without ever getting it. Though after that initial faux pas things got better,

Stopped by on the way to Boston, as a friend of mine is from Waltham. Its a little hard to find, tucked into a corner. The Cajun burger and crab Rangoon dip were amazing. My friend had the wings and had great things to say as well. Pretty good selection of beers on tap. Played some pub trivia and I was pleased I crushed the competition. Really cute bartender, and was helpful with beer selection too. I would definitely return again.

I love this spot. I've been there many times since they opened, but wanted to wait until they were in the swing of things before writing the stellar review that City Streets has earned. I love this place for the following reasons... 1. Food: Menu items are fresh and healthy. You can tell that things are made to order, and not just frozen and microwaved like you get at other chain restaurants in the area like the 99, Unos etc. I love the Candied Walnut Salad with juicy grilled shrimp, Turkey Sandwich with a tangy cranberry mayo, Salmon and could literally drink a glass of the caesar dressing...its light, sweet and unlike any I've ever had. 2. TVs: I'm so over heading into Boston to watch a game. Way too much effort and way too expensive. City Streets has a million TVs (yes, a million). Hi Def. Not a bad seat in the house. Go Bruins and Sox! 3. Staff: You can tell that the employees are here because they want to be. I've worked in a restaurant, and I've seen plenty of miserable waitresses and they can really ruin an experience. The Bar Staff and waiters are fun, personable, and in it to win it. The managers also pitch in which as an ex restaurant worker is SO nice to see! 4. Dainty Dips: I've hit up this place late night just for one of these bite size desserts. They are like a cake mixture covered in a hard shell of chocolate. The strawberry shortcake ones are the bomb dot com.

Great place. If you're thinking of giving it a shot - do it. Both of the owners are great guys. Rob is there all the time. If there's anything wrong, just ask for him and he'll take care of you. They even gave me a ride home one night! The appetizers are great. The stuffed mac & cheese burger is to die for, and the waitstaff is incredibly friendly. They expereinced a couple of growing pains the first couple of weeks, but it seems all of the kinks have been worked out. Definitely give this place a go. You'll love it here. PS It looks real nice, but there's no dress code. Go as you are to enjoy a game or bring a business client to discuss whatever. All-purpose spot.

Was in town for a business trip and decided to try the local restaurants. The first thing to notice is the location is kind of hard to see from the road, they are tucked away in a corner. If you weren't specifically looking for the place the odds are if you just drove down the street you would miss it. The atmosphere is split the dining area was quiet which was nice, and the bar had some action but not a lot. The service we received throughout the night was the best I've had in a long time, the waitress was very friendly, explained the specials, checked on us throughout the experience, the manager checked on us, as did other waitresses. We tried what most people recommended which was the crab Rangoon dip which was delicious, and we also had the fried zucchini which was just as good. For dinner I had the cajon burger and my fiance had fish n chips. My burger was seasoned well but I wish it was stuffed more. My fiance liked her fish and both dishes came with steak fries that were great. Overall I really enjoyed the dining experience here, the food was great and the staff was super friendly which made my visit that much nicer.

Went here over the weekend with a girl friend. We had a few beers; they had a pretty wide selection of beer on tap. The owner came over to us and said hello and made a few recommendations. He was very friendly and excited about the newly-opened place. We ordered the crab rangoon dip, which was all right. I think it could have used some more flavor somehow. It's a good idea, though. We both ordered stuffed burgers, I got the Mediterranean burger and my friend got the Sicilian burger. My burger was very tasty and I liked the olives inside. My friend thought her burger was just ok and that the mozzarella inside was actually probably cream cheese. Fail. The sides were good, mac and cheese and fries. Our waiter was fine. He kind of abandoned us after we got our burgers and then was around only when it was time to pay the check. He was friendly though. The bar area was PACKED. I was surprised since City Streets had just opened but it's definitely a hang out. There are a number of flat screen tvs for people to enjoy. I am going to come back here. The menu had a lot of variety and I want to check out some other items.

City Streets is okay. I was really impressed with the wings, which were free, because they're doing a grand opening promotional thingee. They even gave us 2 coupons to come back and get MORE free wings. Which I like. It wasn't quite a buffalo sauce, it was spicy but also kinda sweet. Really good. The beer on tap was one step above boring...not a plethora of options, but better options than just the usual miller, bud, etc. I got an Allagash White which I am a fan of but there weren't any others I was interested in. I got the sirloin grinder, and Boyfriend got a burger -- not a stuffed one, just regular with cheese. It was fine, a typical run-of-the-mill bar burger. The steak sandwich was good, the meat was pretty tender, and the sauce was ok. The fries were pretty good. I'd probably go here again for the wings (especially if they're free!) and I'm still curious about the stuffed burgers. But all in all the food wasn't any better than any other bar in town, and I can think of several spots with better burgers.

A hidden gem, and one of the best casual but nice American restaurants in the area. Great appetizers, a small but strong menu, and a very friendly staff make this one of my wife's and my favorites.

The food here is unreal. I saw this place on the Phantom Gourmet and had to go and check it out. Luckily I found it as the location is a little tucked in but it makes it even more quaint when you get inside. The food was unreal from beginning to end and the beer list was better than the normal Sam Adams, harpoon ipa, coors light/bud light that you find in most of the joints around town. While sitting at the bar I was approached by a nice gentleman who introduced himself as the owner and asked how everything was? Food this good in a mom and pop atmosphere? Do these places even still exist? Obviously they do, right in the middle of Waltham tucked into a parking next to a sports club. Great place, great food, and great person.

Went for the first time today to try out the Mac and cheese stuffed burger. I am a big time burger guy. The concept of the burger seems like heaven between two buns. I was not overly impressed. It was not bad but not great either. Lack of Mac and cheese. And over cooked. But still slightly tasty. Not worth the 10.50. I will prob not return.

The place was kind of hard to find, for a person out of town anyway. The burger was very good and unique, but not a good as I was led to believe. The staff was friendly and the service was very good. I would definitely come back if i was back in this area again.

UPDATE: Went back today and the board says the $5 unlimited wings deal is every Sunday and Monday night (yay for not ending with football season). Tried the Golden BBQ wings - awesome. Was sober this time and can confirm that the PBRs are in fact $2.

Absolutely LOVE this place. It's my favorite for a good salad (I opt for the grilled chicken instead of the colder chicken) and the city street wings are to die for. I love how the owner(s) are always in and making their ways around to greet customers, it gives the experience a little something - and they always listen to feedback (I can't believe it's only been a year since they opened!). Also - try the 'Dainty Dips'...they are small enough not to overwhelm and just enough to satisfy & they taste amazing! Tip: check out the feature on Phantom Gourmet.

We LOVE this place! My husband and I have been in for lunch, dinner, lazy Sunday just wanting a beer and a snack, and have never been dissapointed. They have a really interesting menu, not your typical pub fare, and the specials we've tried have all been really tasty and well prepared. The salads are fresh and huge. Hummus plate is one of the best. The wings are excellent, and $5.00 for all you can eat on Sunday and Monday night! The owner and the staff are all friendly, knowledgable and engaging. We have brought friends here who have all loved this place, and definitely recommend it.

The crab rangoon dip was the most amazing appetizer that I have ever had and something I have never seen anywhere else. The macaroni and cheese stuffed burger was to die for and again it was such a unique menu item. Amazing food, drinks, atmosphere, bartenders and staff!!! A unique dining experience and great place to grab drinks! A+++ in my book! I can't wait to go back!

We went here because we saw this place on tv (Phantom Gourmet). We ordered nachos, which were suppose to be amazing and stuffed burgers. The nachos were burnt and not good at all. Burgers were ok, but not really 'stuffed', more like some filling. The experience was disappointing. I had talked this place up with my friends and felt silly. Not sure if I would go back.

My brother and ordered stuffed burgers i got the mac and cheese and he got the scilian all i can say is WOW!. tasty and juicey and theyre steak fries were soooo good. My wife and I were in the area visiting our inlaws and we decided too stop in on a Sunday night after seeing this restaurant on Yelp. It's kind of hard to see from the street so we almost drove by. Once inside though, the place is very clean and welcoming with a nice looking bar and two dining rooms. There are also many flat screens in the main pub area so a good place to watch the game. We both ordered salads, my wife the Asian chicken and me a mixed greens salad with buffalo chicken on top. We live in Manhattan and it's safe to say these salads were as good as or better than what you get in NY - and the prices were good at about $13 each. We didn't have anything to drink this time, but there was a good draft selection at the bar. We will definitely be back as teh menu looked good and the salads were A+.

I had the pleasure of dining at City Streets this evening with my family. They had given it rave reviews so my expecations were pretty high going into the restaurant. We arrived on the early side of dinner (5pm) and sat in the bar area at a hightop table. The service was very prompt and friendly and our drinks came right after we ordered. We ordered two appetizers while still deciding on our meals: The chicken wings with the City Streets Sauce and the Hummus Platter. Both were wonderful! The sauce on the chicken wings was absolutely delicious and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The Hummus Platter was also really nice. Various veggies, grilled bread drizzled with balsamic vinegarette and thick, creamy hummus. The most difficult part of my dining experience was trying to decide what to order for dinner. Everything on the menu looks fantastic. I finally decided on the Sicilian Stuffed Burger, which came with Steak Fries. The burger was everything that I expected and more. It was stuffed with procuitto ham and mozzerella cheese and topped with fresh tomato, onions and lettuce. It was served on a lovely ciabatta bun, which was a nice change of pace from your usual, run of the mill sesame seed hamburger buns served at most places. The steak fries were also enjoyable. Very hot, and not greasy. I should also mention that I had a caesar salad prior to the burger and it too was great! The salad had just enough dressing on it, and it was very light. Definitely a good choice! For dessert we had a plate of small cakes covered in chocolate. Unfortunately, as I've given up desserts in the name of Lent, I didn't have the pleasure of trying these but based on the reactions of my siblings, it may have been worth my while to convert to another religion on the spot. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the owner of the restaurant was circulating through the restaurant, greeting guests and asking how the food was. The waitstaff was also very attentive and knowlegable about the menu when we had questions. I will definitely be returning there soon! I think that my next dinner will probably be the grilled scallops with the risotto of the day. It looked and sounded fabulous! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a delcious, inspired meal at a great price served in a friendly atmosphere!

This place was ALL right. We went right after the opened- maybe a week or so in. We ordered the hummus and veggie platter to start, but instead of pita it came with cut up sourdough bread. I had the steak tips and my fiance had the medditerean stuffed burger. The idea sounded cool, but the burger itself was ok. The decor in the dining room is bland. The pictures of the city streets are fun, but they are sparse and there is a lot of white space. For the amount of money we spent we could have a better meal elsewhere.

This place is alright. For the prices, I expect more. I've been a few times, but have yet to find something on the menu that's worth going back for. The stuffed burgers are just okay, the mac & cheese burger was a little flavorless and had no texture. We did enjoy the mini desserts and the beer list is pretty good too.

I have been looking for a coffee shop thats open past 9pm in Boston then Cambridge now Waltham and they are few and far between.. especially with decent parking and free wifi.. After looking for a very very long time I thought ok I give up.. but why not just yelp a bar thats open late with free wifi and BINGO City Streets came up.. thank you Yelp..It is tucked away but a really really cool place updated modern..really nice ambiance and the bartenders are really cute and cool too.. OK no coffee or tea but no worries cuz its free wifi and open late.. now I will have to come back and try it on a Friday and Sat nite with friends since its such a cute place.. and btw a great place to watch any games since they have 6 TVs just from where I am sitting.. such a cool place..
