The food here is okay, but not really what you'd expect from a place that drops "of the North End" in their title. My gnocchi was kind of bland and the wine list was just so-so.

Went for lunch the other day, I got steak tips (i know, not very italian) but they were pretty good, instead of fries, or roasted potatoes I asked if there was a rice option they gave me a risotto which was also pretty good, I also orderd a side of rabe, sauteed with sundreied tomatoes and garlic, it was tasty, a little too soupy though. My friend got chicken parm, and a side of meatballs... The sauce was mediocre, bland even, the meatballs were spongy and lacked flavor also. the price was respectable about $40 with sides and two non-alcoholic drinks. I would try again, but not expecting much more than 2 1/2 - 3 stars

We regularly eat at Felicia's and find the food incredibly delicious. It is traditional Italian, with great specials. The entree portions are generous and every appetizer is sized for at least two people. Meals are not al la carte, all come with salads. Reservations should be made, because Felicia's is always packed. The bar area can be noisy, so request the dining room for a quieter meal. On Saturday nights they have two older musicians singing and playing for a few hours. Great atmosphere! The almond tiramisu is the best tiramisu we have ever had!!!

Food is very good. Service is a bit inconsistant and I think that sometimes the staff is a bit more moody then I've experienced elsewhere. Freddy is an excellent bartender.

I've been to Felicia's about 6 times since moving to the area. Each time I've liked the food, and the ambiance, and the experience overall. Not a top-notch Italian restaurant, but for a place in the suburbs it's pretty good. Went last Sunday and had the worst service I may have ever had at a restaurant. Seriously, the only reason I'm writing this review is that I'm hoping that the owner will read it and pay attention to the service staff. I'm not tough to please - stop by after you bring our food, give us some water, just give us minimal attention and we're good. Our waitress left us alone for almost 30 mins after they brought our food. I had asked for more bread (never got any), and she never bothered to fill our water glasses after we initially sat down. I tried flagging her down THREE times, to no avail. Our order was screwed up, she asked us for our drink order but seemed a little annoyed when we asked to see a drink menu. I don't know.... will I go back? Yes, but I'll have to think about it. I've never given a 10% tip before, but felt the service was so bad I had to send a message. She gave us less than half of expected minimal service, so felt I had no choice. By the time she came by to see "how you doin'?" my wife and daughter already left to go outside and wait for me. Ridiculous. Fix this flaw and I'd give it 4 stars. Right now, 2.5 - 3

i've been here before. good food. horrible service. made reservations for tonight and they told me i had to wait another 2 hours to eat. what's the point of making a reservation if you can't seat me when i come? horrible way to run a restaurant. not professional at all. will NEVER go back!!!!!

I just moved to Stoneham and found Felecia's on Yelp. From the moment we walked in It felt like a fancy Italian restaurant. I was beginning to doubt the $$ rating, but after looking at the menu, the prices were in fact great. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was great. After the meal we took a look at the desert menu. They had a lot of good options. My fiance got the almond tiramisu and she said it was excellent. The service was great. The staff were very nice and talkative.

I love Felicia's of the North End. Family owned for years, and at one time was located in the North End. I love their food! The portions are also great to share. Prices are reasonable, and everything is fresh.

Went there for lunch in a group of 6. Kinda dark, but I guess that's not necessarily bad. There's pictures all over the walls of a lot of crazy people that've been there, I think they were all posing with the famous Felicia? Near our table, we saw pics of Wayne Newton, Dom Delouise, and Barbara Streisand. They have some highback booths in there, like ones you'd see in Vegas. Our group was too big for one of those though. When the hostess sat us, she warned us that our server's softball team won the championship the night before, so she's a little hungover! We thought that was hilarious how honest she was, and in turn we were more forgiving. She never brought us bread, which we didn't even know we were supposed to get till we saw other tables getting it, but it was already too late. I had the Gnocchi Bolognese. It was a pretty large lunch portion for $8ish if I remember right, I had to force myself to at least finish all the gnocchi. I definitely left there stuffed. The sauce was good...meaty and unexpectedly cheesy too, I'd get it again if I was really hungry. A few of my coworkers got the special, chicken stuffed with proscuitto and mozzarella with asparagus on the side. It looked pretty good too. The server was really nice even though she wasn't feeling well. I'd definitely go again.

This place is okay, but I still prefer Gaetanos down the street. My main problem with Felicia's is that they overbook ALL THE TIME. No matter when you have a reservation, you are still going to wait. And thee is no place to wait; you come into the bar and there's no waiting area (forget about a seat at the bar, either!). If you're a twosome, you are frequently squeezed into one of the twotop tables that are on the fringes of the restaurant (like right outside the kitchen!) with absolutely no space. It's always busy in there, with large parties. It's very old world Italian, complete with the tables of gentlemen-only all dining.

This restaurant was extremely mediocre at best. My boyfriend and I ordered the fried calamari, pasta puttanesca , and the eggplant parm. Service: The service overall was poor and extremely slow (restaurant wasn't busy for a Wednesday night). The waitress was inattentive and only came to table after a long periods of time elapsed. I also had to ask to refill my water glass. Food: We started with the salads that came with the main meal. Boy was this salad underwhelming. Who puts mushy canned green beans on a salad? Gross. The fried calamari came next. Over battered and super oily. On a positive note, the calamari wasn't chewy, just prepared incorrectly. Our main meals came next. The pasta puttanesca was tasteless. I mean bland, not spicy, and unexciting. The eggplant parm was gross; it was a deep fried, oily, and greasy slop on a plate with melted cheese. It was very bland and tasted weird against your tongue. The tomato sauce that came with it was tasteless and bland as well. Overall, a return visit will not be happening. The food was so bad that we threw our leftovers out in the trash barrel outside the restaurant. One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to: bad service and worse food!! I say no thank you!

Went there recently with a large party and had to wait over 30 minutes for our reserved table. Owner sent over comped appetizers but im still a bit upset that the hostess kept telling me 'we are setting it up now' and then we would wait 10 more minutes. I would have gladly made the reservation for later if I needed to. It was so crowded in the bar waiting! Food was amazing as always :)

Recently went there for the second time.. This time it was late afternoon and I decided to sit at the bar. Had a cocktail and appetizer. The bartender (Freddy) was great and really made me feel at home. I've tried the lobster ravioli and stuffed chicken. Both fantastic and great portions I will return!

Could have been better, could have been worse. I agree with another reviewer about the service. While our waitress was pleasant and attentive, the lady who sat us (not sure if she was a hostess or a server, but I guess the napkins she was rolling was important) was rude. There were a handful of open tables and she huffed and puffed, walked around for 5 minutes, then sat us. We weren't asked for a drink for a good 10 minutes. The fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp is tasty and creamy, but nothing incredible. Boyfriend had the veal parm, said it was alright. This place is right up the street from me but I'd be willing to drive farther and deal with crappy parking for better food and service!

Absolutely awesome! Such a great meal from start to finish. The dipping sauce and bread that they give you complementary was delicious! Every meal came with a yummy salad. I had the special scallops and they were so tender and delicious (yes, I know I've already used that word). My husband had the lobster ravioli and love d it too. We feel so lucky to have used Yelp and found this gem!!!!! Oh, and the Lemon Drop was awesome too!

I called early today to check on the Daily Specials, but the waitress said "I have no idea, won't find out until later". Then I called back with my office order instead of waiting for the "specials". I placed my order with my co-workers and the waitress said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I asked her how much the order was because we were all paying cash and usually places say sure, here's the amount. Not this waitress, she said "I have no idea, I don't have a computer here. I'll have to call you back" She called me back with the amount in a few minutes, thenI left work and arrived 20 minutes later. When I got there, the waitress (Diane), said it wasn't ready yet. She then disappeared for so long that the owner sitting at the bar with a couple of friends drinking wine, asked if I was being helped yet. I said yes. so I waited for 15 minutes extra, paid and left. When I got to my office, she called to say that she left out the Tiramisu. I had 3 lunch orders, not a huge amount for them to leave something out! I told her that I already spent 1/2 hour of my lunch time waiting for my order. I asked if she could have it delivered as a nice courtesy for their mistake. She said "no dear, we don't have delivery". Now, sadly, I think Diane needs to retire and the owner sitting at the bar, could have delivered my tiramisu. Won't be back. Terrible customer service. Mediocre food.

VERY GOOD SUBURBAN ITALIAN RESTAURANT My 6 friends and I dined here on a Thursday night at 7pm, and we all enjoyed this restaurant. Read below for a more detailed description. ____________________________ ~ The Good Points ~ A. LOCATION - 4 STARS - In Stoneham Center, and easily accessible by car from Rt. 93 and Rt. 128/95. B. PARKING - 4 STARS - Ample amount of free on-street parking, as well as a moderately large parking lot diagonally across the street. NOTE: Don't park in the adjacent Liquor Store parking lot otherwise the Liquor Store Owner will aggressively tow your car. C. DECOR - 4 STARS - Definitely pretty and intimate. D. NOISE & SPACE - 4.5 STARS - Neither too loud nor too cramped. It's easy to have a normal conversation at regular volume, at least on a Thursday night. E. SERVICE - 4 STARS - Attentive, qualified, knowledgeable, and friendly. F. FOOD QUALITY - 4 STARS - All 7 of our entrees were tasty and employed fresh ingredients. G. FOOD QUANTITY - 4 STARS - More than ample quantity. H. PRICES & VALUE - 4 STARS - The combination of reasonable prices, higher quantity, and great service make this restaurant a very good value. ____________________________ ~ The Bad Points ~ I. BREAD & OIL - 3 STARS - As noted by many reviewers, both the Italian Scali bread and the Olive Oil supplied for dipping the bread are sub-standard. J. HOUSE SALAD & BLUE CHEESE DRESSING - 2 STARS - The house salad was fresh, but small. It had an adequate amount of iceberg lettuce, but only 1 small slice of cucumber, 2 very thin slices of red onion, and 2 small grape tomatoes. The dressing was way too thick and insipid. K. OVERALL RATING - 4 STARS - Clearly, the many positives outweigh the couple of negatives. In fact, all 7 of us had a good time and agreed to return.

Older crowd with dated decor. The portions are large, but the quality is average. Also, the service is slow, so be prepared for a two hour meal.

Recently had a party of 6 at Felicia's for a night out. Food was great. Chicken parm is enormous, haddock piccata looked good. There is a veal dish that's stuffed with eggplant mozzarella and asparagus that's baked not fried and served with Madeira wine sauce was out of this world. Calamari was hugeeeeee which is a plus because there is nothing worse than paying for bait and getting 5 rings and 2 tentacles, speaking of which it's the rings only which was disappointing. The service is hit or miss, granted it was a busy weekend night one of the dishes was not put In and someone had to wait 10 minutes for their meal while we ate. Overall not a bad spot for some good italian food.

I've never had an experience here that left me unfulfilled. The food is always great, fresh tasting and has a nice presentation. There have been a few rare occurrences (I patronize this place 1-2 times a month) that there had been something not up to my standards. As long as you notify the wait staff they WILL make it right for you. I always cave and order the tiramisu for dessert. Its the best I've ever had!

If you love heat and serve food, this is the place for you. There is nothing authentic about this "Italian" restaurant where all the cooks are Spanish.. The kitchen is dirty, no one wears gloves or hair nets which probably attributes to the HAIRS I found in my food. The owners are particularly rude especially when I told them how unhappy I was with my visit. I will never go to this over priced Olive Garden again.

I was here on a date and it was a slow night so I thought it was perfect and was expecting great service. That didn't happen. They sat us at a table in a corner next to another couple. Problem was, the other couple had a weird vibe. She was on the phone all night screaming her lungs out, talking business. She had her purse and jacket on the floor blocking the path to my seat. The guy had his legs stretched almost touching my chair. I know the restaurant doesn't control the couple, but they can control where they sit us. The complimentary bread & oil they brought us was just really bad. The bread was dry and the garlicky oil was, actually, garlic juice. And the waitress kept calling me "honey". So annoying. Anyhow, I ordered Pasta Marinara - linguini. Instead, I got angel hair. The sauce, also, was PLAIN GARLIC. My date ordered the Pollo Braciolettine #2 and he said it was great. The waitress spilled the marsala sauce all over my date's lap when she took his plate away. The staff was eating 2 tables away having a great time and got better service than we did. Don't get me wrong , they're certainly entitled to enjoy a great meal, but I think it's inappropriate to do it while customers are there. Don't forget about your paying customers. Remember I said I was on a date? All I could think of was the awful garlic taste in my mouth! Needless to say, we didn't kiss that night. Don't get me wrong, I love garlic, and I cook and eat it almost everyday but, these people serve garlic with a side of pasta. I had garlic breath/taste in my mouth for 4 days, brushing my teeth, mouthwash, flossing, nothing worked! I would be happy to forget this place exists.

I have never had a bad meal at Felicia's. Good food, good prices, good portions. I have had some excellent cheap glasses of wine there that I couldn't tell the difference between hundred dollar bottles of wine. It doesn't hurt that I can stumble to my house after a meal since I live across the street now. I have probably eaten at Felicia's about ten times overall. That in itself is as much of a compliment that I can give a place. The bar area is well laid out and not too small, yet still not big. I wouldn't go there to pick up women as the crowd is more locals and tends to be an older crowd. Overall, I think Felicia's does Italian food well. I think they know the customer well and they are consistent. Take for instance that nothing on the menu is over $10 for appetizers... house salad is 5 bucks, felicia's salad is 6 bucks. They serve excellent sandwiches for 8 bucks (chicken parm is amazing and huge portion). The highest priced entree is $12. There are other Italian restaurants around the area that don't have an app or entree in the single digits and I feel like they over complicate the wine list. I think it is best for a restaurant to focus on using the best possible products at the lowest price point for customers to be happy. Why with all this good praise do I not give them five stars? Well first of all they don't allow you to give 4.5 stars. The marks down are not for the food, but parking can be a bit of a pain... not too bad but still a pain. There is a lot beside the place, but it is supposed to be used for the convenience store and liquor store (although nobody tows and they don't enforce it). The street parking can fill up, so you are left going to the parking lot over by the fire station across the center. The second reason why I marked it down a star is that the decor is a bit dated. I appreciate the old school look to a point, but it is decorated like it was Santarpios where the location has been around for a hundred years. Well the restaurant in the North End called Felicia's that they own has been around for a long time, but this location is still relatively new comparatively speaking. I personally like a lot more light when I eat instead of the dark and I prefer a bar area to bring in a younger crowd. I can't really knock it down for those reasons too much, because the food is excellent and is an excellent value. I just moved directly across the street and would never just head over to the bar to have a drink even with it so convenient.... I would either head to Lily's, U-Me or ideally, out of Stoneham to get a drink since all the bars in town pretty much suck. Overall, I when I think of Felicia's... I think no frills classic Italian at a great price.

First I have been staying up here for work so I been doing a lot of take out. I expect to get napkins and utensils. When i ordered form Felicia's i didnt get either. The other issues was the basic bread, i could have gotten better bread at stop n shop. That being said the veal/eggplant parm was awesome. Good flavor with enough sauce and cheese.

omg. i had the worst experience at felica's today . the service was absolutely horrible.................... this is the one in stoneham, ma and i can't believe how horrible i was treated and how they literally laughed at me. i have gone there for the past 5 years for my birthday and will never step foot in there again. they were rude, inconsiderate and just totally "don't go there" go to gaetano's,,

The reviews on yelp are what got us to try Felicias. The reviews stated a higher rate of food vs service, they were right. The atmosphere has an older feel to it, celebrity pictures on the wall, old carpeting, nice candles though. It could do for a slight modernization. To start, the bread was fresh and soft. The dipping oil was good, different from most places. The only problem with the service was that it was slow. With a small crowd that evening, post 8:00pm rush, there was no obvious reason for it. The sangria we ordered was a 6 out of 10. Strong, but lacking flavor. I had a lasagna bolognese, it was delicious. 4.0 stars out of 5. The portion size of course was huge, two people could easily split it. My girlfriend had shrimp pasta, she also said it was delicious. For dessert, a toasted almond tiramisu complimented the cappuccino. The Bill was reasonable, minus the sangria which charged 10.00 per drink. All in all, I would recommend this place for food, not so much for drinks.

Call this place Feh-licia's. Absolute mediocrity. Service wasn't good either. I was there Sunday night. The restaurant was doing a very light business, less than half full. Though the waitress was personally very nice, her waitressing skills need to improve. Though the area in front of me was clear, when the waitress arrived with the salad she just slide it onto the side of the table. I find it annoying that a restaurant would serve a salad on a small flat plate, when the plate is too small to hold the salad, resulting in the salad spilling over and touching the table. Also such a small plate makes it difficult to cut and mix the salad since the dressing was simply plopped in the middle. I ordered the Veal Parm which supposedly came with a Marinara sauce. This was not what I would consider a Marinara sauce. It was extremely thick and very spicy. The sauce completely overpowered the taste of the veal. When the waitress arrived with the the Veal she asked me if I needed anything else. She didn't take stock of the fact that my drink was very low. I finished the rest of my drink very quickly and was hoping she would come back to ask me how my dinner was. Then I could ask her for a drink refill. After finishing more than half my dinner, I finally decided to get up and find the waitress to get a refill. "Oh I was just about to come by to check on you." Bad timing. She should've checked on me sooner. I should never need to get up to find my waitress. I've been here a couple of times years ago, and it was just "ok+". Now it seems to have dropped several pegs in both dining and service satisfaction. I don't think I'll be back. I'm dismayed that the very town I live in doesn't really have a decent restaurant. I find that I constantly need to go to surrounding communities to find a good restaurant.

We like Felicia's. Crowded and noisy and the service can depend upon which waitress you get, but the food is always top notch and the portions are more than generous. We like the calamari with peppers or the muscles as an appetizer. The soups are always good as well. I really like the the haddock charlie and the veal parm was splendid! I brought my dad here when he visited from CA and we tend to like to go here for special occasions.

This is a place I come once a year (maybe twice) on my annual pilgrimage back east. I've been here about 10 times and I keep coming back. It's rather old school Italian food, which I like. I had the manicotti with the bolognese sauce. It was very, very good. Another in my party had the veal piccata, which was tender and a very nice sized portion. Another had the puttanesca, which he liked. The antipasto was almost a meal in itself and the five of us could not finish it. Only one person did not like their food. They felt the sauce had a burnt taste to it. Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner and I look forward to next year.

Went to Felicia's after seeing a play at the Stoneham Theater, and our reservation had been messed up at a different nearby restaurant. We got a table right away at Felicia's though, and they started us off with really good bread and Italian dipping oil. The pieces of bread were huge! We ordered the Rhode Island calamari for an appetizer and it was supposed to be spicy but the calamari and sauce weren't spicy at all- they were just served with peppers and jalapeños on the plate. The calamari weren't very crispy but they still tasted good. A salad came with my meal and it had chickpeas and green beans in it which was a little different but still good. For an entree I ordered the chicken, broccoli and ziti in Alfredo sauce which came in a huge portion! By the time it was served I was already full and I ended up taking most of it home. The Alfredo sauce was average, not very flavorful. The service was wonderful, our server was very warm, welcoming and friendly. She even gave us limoncello shots on the house! Delicious! Great place to go before or after a show at the Stoneham Theater. Easy to get to, plenty of public parking nearby. Good food and friendly staff and prompt service.

I went to Felicia's for the first time last night. I had been to Angelo's previously and wanted to see how Felicia's compared. The restaurant seems to be consistently busy and the reviews on Yelp are generally positive. What is it they say about common sense? Ironically, it's not common. The same could also be said of good taste. I found Felicia's to be sub-par Italian fare. The red sauce tasted like tomato paste. The oil served with the bread was bland and heavy. The bread was airy and lifeless. My main dish was some chicken concoction in which the main flavor was oil. The pounded chicken pieces were bleach white and flavorless. If you're a fan of North End Italian food, stay away from Felicia's. The name suggests that they're of the North End but the food tells a different story. If you like uninspired suburban Italian food and have a penchant for tacky eighties decor, then you should eat at Felicia's. You certainly won't find me there. I'll be at Angelo's up the road.

Portions are large, quality of food is excellent. Dining area is crowded. Wait staff kept bumping into my chair every time they walked by. They should reconfigure the dining room. Like many others the owner sent lemoncello shots to our table, which was nice. The hostess could use some personality work!

  • Holly G.

Not impressed - we ordered take out for 4 people and no one liked what they got. Maybe people do not know what good Italian food is supposed to taste like? The sauce (marinara) was not great and ruined everything it was on. If you are not picky than I guess this place is fine, but there are better Italian restaurants in stoneham than here.

Used to love it here. Went for my birthday with my family. Got a chicken dish that wasn't very good. Manager came over and asked how everything was, I said I didn't think mine was very good,,,,,didnt do anything to fix situation. ( so why did he ask?)

Felicia's will make you feel like an extra on the set of the Sopranos. Old-school decor that's almost a cliche, coupled with a local vibe, make this feel like the achievement of what the Olive Garden tries to be. This place is packed, so consider calling ahead for a seat. We did, and were seated promptly on our arrival. Portions are enormous, but the quality didn't suffer for it. Our stuffed shrimp appetizer (a daily special) was fabulous, light, and lemony. The side of eggplant parmagiana needed a bit of a salt boost, but was well-cooked and sauced. My lobster ravioli entree was fairly amazing. There were big chunks of lobster to be seen when I cut into each ravioli, and the flavor was outstanding. The only weak point of the meal was the house salads, which were merely fine and boasted a few ingredients from cans. Also, there seems to be some debate on the quality of the bread and olive oil at Felicia's; I think it's probably down to your personal taste, but I enjoyed it. We split a bottle of chianti from the affordable wine list, and later retired to the bar for a gin and tonic. The bartender had a heavy hand with the gin--just the way I like it. At the conclusion of both our meal and our cocktails, we were given a complimentary apertif of creamy limoncello. Suffice it to say, it is easy to get sloppy at Felicia's. The bar feels like it's full of regulars--patrons chat with each other and the bartenders. The accents confirm that this is a local hangout. The fact that Felicia's is not accessible by T and has limited parking will interfere with my becoming a regular there. That said, this would be a great place to go if you live in Stoneham or can find street parking nearby.

A hangout for their regulars, like a high school clique. Lots of attitude if your not a regular. We stopped going but their over use of garlic permeates the neighborhood.

Went for early dinner had Mike as my server. Ordered calamari with hot cherry peppers when a huge plate came out loaded with breaded calamari and hot peppers I was so excited until I started to dig in... every one of the peppers had the stem still on them (see picture) and the calamari was over breaded. Ask for bread for the table, three times! When it finally arrived we asked for some oil to dunk the bread Mike rudely said, "if you really want it" (no, he was not joking!). For dinner I ordered the stuffed chicken with broccoli when the dish came out the broccoli was warm to COLD! The chicken was over cooked and flavorless. The side pasta had a red sauce that tasted like paste. I left and went to Angelo's, which is where I should have started to begin with...

I am a sucker for these old, 70's style, Italian places. Pictures of the Rat Pack, Bobby Darin and Fabian everywhere and tons of old folks getting wasted on wine, laughing their asses off. Come on, that's awesome! The food was really pretty decent and the staff wanted to steal my baby and take her home rather than some places where they glare at you for having a kid. My only advice would be to update the place a bit but....didn't I just say I liked the old Ginzo joints? It's pretty good so check it out.

  • T. P.

I'm giving it 4 stars because although the food/price/service was great, the atmosphere was that it was the type of restaurant you only go to if you are 60+ years old and everyone knows everyone! While waiting for our table, people who knew employees were the ones who were quickly seated or given a drink to wait with. There is NO sitting or waiting area, so we were all legit on top of each other by the door and hostess counter. my boyfriend and I did not want to have a conversation because if we did, everyone would have been a part of it! we were so close to everyone! if you dont mind any of this, and enjoy good food at great prices, then go for it! i will prob. go back sometime, just not on the top of my list.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Came here with my boyfriend, great atmosphere, both our meals were delicious... he got the Fra Diavolo and I got the Fettuccine. Portions were huge so I had a great lunch the next day as well. Would come here again in a heartbeat.

Solid place for a nice meal. We had the veal piccata and mixed grill. Good service and food quality. Nice homemade cannoli and cappuccino.

Great food and service. Their wine pours (at least the house wines) are HEAVY. The food is above average Italian for very reasonable prices. and the portions are next to enormous. Our server was extremely friendly and accurate making for an overall pleasant experience.

The north end in my backyard! Yea! Thank you yelpers for pointing this gem out! We ventured out on a Friday with a reservation for 7:30. Thank you to the boyfriend who, like myself, takes dinner very seriously and made a reservation without me even asking. We were seated very quickly in a dining room that was reminiscent of a North End experience (photos on the walls, mural paintings) but was larger than the typical dining area. This delighted my other half who's detest of rush hour traffic is dwarfed by his hatred of of tight spaces. The bottles of wine are very affordable with many white and red selections starting at the bargain basement price of $16! We ordered a $20 bottle of white wine. Cheers! We were also served a loaf of rather bland bread that luckily redeemed itself when dipped in the oil plate. Our server was efficient, not exactly pleasant, but she got the job done and she warmed up throughout the meal. I ordered the pork chop with vinegar peppers to avoid the carb overload I would surely experience otherwise. I was concerned it wouldn't be as good as the same entree I ordered at Tremonte in Woburn a few weekends prior, but it was just as delicious, if not better with the boneless pork chop. The man got a stuffed chicken breast dish over ziti. The sauce tasted a bit like marsala and it was wonderful. The portions are ridiculously huge and we are bit eaters. We both had leftovers and the bill came in just under $56! My boyfriend was so pleased he left about a 50% tip. Hopefully next time, and there will be a next time, the waitress remembers us and is a bit more friendly! LOVED IT!

STAY AWAY!!!! I love great italian food in a rat pack style place, too bad this place seems to cater to the wrong rat pack Bad food - bad service Chain Italian has better food then what's served here if you get your food. Not one person in my party got a dish they enjoyed. Place is old, everyone is on top of everyone Only good seems to be the booze since everyone there is drinking. Last two mean it's LOUD NEVER GOING BACK

This was my first time at Felicia's, the atmosphere is nice and the service is great!!! I had higher expectations for the food though. I got the eggplant parm, it was dry, so it may just be a personal choice thing. I would go back again and try another dish. As I said, the service was perfect so it's worth trying again.

When I read some of these "reviews", I have to ask myself just who is writing some of them. I've been to Felicia's many times and I have yet to see any of the complaints made to be anywhere near the truth. Never had a bad meal, always have good service, comfortable seating, very friendly bar area and an overall experience to look forward to. There are always people who are looking for something for nothing and people like this will never be satisfied and thus should stay home.

If you're looking for good authentic Italian Food this is not the place to go, basic fare at best..tasteless- you may receive a big portion but a big portion of tasteless food. The owner needs to update his menu and hire new chefs. But if you're looking for good drinks this is the place to go. If at all possible do not sit at the bar on Sunday or Monday-Tuesday and Wednesday nights, these are the times that the owners son tends the bar. This man is loud, unprofessional and obnixious. You will be totally ignored as he talks to his pals at the bar, you will hear him yell at other people sitting at the the bar if they try to interupt him to get his attention to order. Horrible..I've been here many times when he is working and it is the same thing every time, I do not know why his father allows this behavior-why spend your money to be insulted and ignored. I do like Felica's atmosphere for a neighborhood restuarant/bar the regulars are friendly and the other bartenders are good especially the weekend bartenders. I will never go there again when the owners son is working. If he had to make a living doing this somewehre else he would never be employed. I'm surprised no one has bopped him one. Other than him all the other bartenders are great-personable and will alway greet you with a big hello. I stop in on occasion for a big glass or wine or an awesome martini however, I would never spend any money to eat here.

Hostess was rude to start, but the waitress was nice. Food was only OK. Menu options and decor are outdated. Very busy place, most people had reservations, but no one there was under the age of 60. Parking is a challenge since there is no parking lot.

Have been to this restaurant several times in the past; however, I haven't been in almost a year. I have in the past found in to be at least a 3-4 star rating;however,my recent dinner there is lucky to get a 1 star rating. I was in the area and suggested dinner with my wife. Have heard from acquaintances that they were disappointed with Felicia's over the past 6 months. I agree. Quality of food and preparation was terrible. The salad was not freshly made and almost frozen. My wife's pasta with clams was rubbery. The clams were tough and chewy. My Italian pork chops with vinegar peppers and grilled potatoes could best be described as salty pork with limp and tasteless sliced potatoes. Had the feeling food was prepared for the convenience of the cook and made several days ago. The Chianti wine was good. I will not return here ever again. Do not like being treated like this. I really hate to say it, but this place has really fallen from the past in its' deliverance of a fine dining experience.

I've been here a three times and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. I'm pretty sure that the old Italian guys at the bar have fused to the barstools at this point because they're ALWAYS there just tossin' back drinks and talking about playing bocce ball or whatever they talk about. The service is inconsistent, but I'd actually prefer to have time to sit around and drink a glass of wine and converse with my company than have a waiter that hovers over the table like some very high end restaurants have. Oh and you'll need time to drink a glass of wine here because they hook you up with a big honking glass of it. Food is really damn good. Can't really go wrong with anything on the menu, but I usually go with a seafood or chicken and pasta dish. Prices are very reasonable as well.

A friend and I stopped in after work on Wednesday night. The bar area was jammed and yes it is a throwback to the "good ole' days". My family used to eat at the original Felica's in the North End. I was surprised to see that the place was jammed packed and everyone was very well dressed. " A lot of sequins" out that night. We saw so many old friends while waiting to be seated. It hurts to say my Chicken Marsala was just awful. I love the old school menu but how can you screw up Chicken Marsala? I can cook that in my sleep! They forgot to include the Marsala Wine in the dish and the mushrooms were raw. My friend had the Veal Saltimboca which was good ended up eating half of his plate. We definitely had 2 different people prepare our dishes. I tried to send the Marsala back but we never saw our waitress.... Next...

Had take out for a party. The food was really good. Portions are huge. You could split one meal and still have left overs. Dinners come with bread and salad and pasta. Lots of food. We have gone a few more times since having the take out and have been happy each time. When you want Italian, this is the type of place you go to for sure. Prices are not inexpensive, but for how much you get... It's very reasonable.

So I was craving a little pasta and since we had a wonderful experience at Felicia's a few year's back, we headed to Stoneham. They had a good crowd for a Wednesday night so we sat at the bar which we prefer. We were waited on immediately by Danny our bartender. I came in thinking pasta but as soon as I started looking at the menu, I thought : STEAK ! I started with a homemade minestrone soup which was good to the last spoonful. The fresh bread and oil kept us busy until the arrival........(DRUM ROLL PLEASE). What an amazing looking NY Sirloin !! I couldn't wait to taste it and when I did I believe I got weak in the knees. This piece of meat would rival anything Abe & Louie's or the Capital Grille has I sh*t you not. I can't remember what my GF had or don't even care because this was the best steak I have had in a long long time. Even though we are not much on dessert the complimentary lemoncello was a nice touch. Service and Atmosphere were spot on. This may become a weekly stop for me at the very least I will now be a regular at Felicia's. Buona Fortuna my friends !!

Have you ever seen the movie Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle? My first trip to Felicia's began like this movie! Okay, well no Neil Patrick Harris or drugs, but here goes . . . My mom and her bf came up on a surprise trip from NYC for my birthday. They wanted to take me and my then-fiance to a nice celebratory dinner in my 'hood. I suggested Georgie D's since my boss is always raving about it. We pull up and there is a sign on the window. "Closed due to ventilation problems." Hrmmm, that is so random. The one weeknight I decide to try this famous Georgie D's and it's closed. I tell my mom not to worry, that I hear Angelo's down the road serves good pizza and has a formal dining room on one side. We pull up a few minutes later and there is a sign on their door. "Closed for funeral." You have got to be kidding me! Just like H and K were on the hunt for those seemingly elusive burgers, we wanted to find good Italian food that evening and stat. So suddenly, we are driving back towards my house and I remember there is Felicia's of the North End. I don't remember how it stacked up on Yelp, but at this point we are desperate. We park the car and enter . . . the decor is reminiscent of Greg's in Watertown. Color photos with celebrities adorn the wall and I am probably the youngest patron there, even though it was my bday and I had just turned a year older. Dim lighting, loud dining room . . . yeah, nothing fancy. Anyway, long story short, overlook the decor and go there for the food. Fate drew us to this place or we might not have tried it. The food came in generous serving sizes and was worth the drive. I had the shrimp fra diavolo, which was good, but not the best I have had. We all agreed that the star of the night was the entree that my mom's bf ordered. It was the Scallop and Shrimp Grand Marnier over angel hair. Mmm, the perfect mix of savory and sweet. Our waitress was really friendly and checked on us often. I will return here most definitely and hopefully next time under more normal circumstances. :)

Ok, so back again and much better overall. We were part of a big party and were seated right away, service was good, food was very good. I got the veal saltimbocca w/fusilli. big portions. I love mushrooms and there were plenty of them, veal was tender and pasta was cooked how I like it. my bf had steak w/red sauce + pasta...forget the name. he enjoyed it and much better than last time we were there. salads came w/meal, that was good, prices reasonable. Overall a much better dining experience overall. it worked out very well because we were w/a big party that went to an event at the Stoneham Theater afterwards and we got there in plenty of time.

Felicia Dahling, I had been to you a couple years ago and remembered you were much more than two stars to me. Your wait staff was wonderful, but your food bordered on awful. Bread-stale. The lobster ravioli was in a HEAVY tasteless sauce. $20.00 for that? I could have bought 100 cans of Spaghetti O's. Ciao Felicia..foreva

I would say, 2.5 stars. We went here last Wednesday night around 4. The adjacent parking lot, which you would think was for the restaurant, is not. The owner of the lot (liquor store / Mini mart) was having people TOWED as we got there, which made for a big scene. Pain in the butt to find a place to park, is what I'm saying. The restaurant has a bar area right when you walk in, and it was busy. Loud and crowded. This is where all the 60 year old drunks in Stoneham go, apparently. We were seated in the restaurant area towards the back, but near the kitchen so we heard an awful lot of yelling and talking, etc. The place was dead - no idea why we were seated there? The owner/boss/whoever was around talking on his cell off and on. He sat near us too, and his phone would go off now and then throughout our dinner. Annoying. Some other boss showed up, sat with him, they made a big show of the fact that they were "the man" or whatever. Some meek friends of theirs showed up for dinner, and as they were being seated, these owners or whatever told the hostess to "get them a booth", etc, like they were getting a big favor because they know the owner. Please. The service was OK. The food - ugh. I don't know folks... To start - WHY do they serve such crappy bread at these places? It's that flavorless white stuff with pats of butter underneath. Well, the oil they give you with it is kinda nice. We got calamari to start - and it's like what you'd find at Woodman's: very heavily battered and deep fried like crazy. Not too bad but not so good either. The sauce that comes with it is bland. But the portion was HUGE. Enough for 4 easily. Dinner - I got the gnocci, which was decent. Enormous portion again. I had 2 meals left out of it when I was done. She got this seafood dish with a "Grand Mariner" sauce. It was gross. Enormous portion, but wow: Think spaghetti with a lot of shrimp and scallops in it but the whole thing coated in a sugary sauce. It tasted like a desert. She didn't have much of it and threw the rest out when we got home. Weak. Deserts. All pre-made and straight from the freezer. She got the puff pastry thing in chocolate sauce and whipped cream, which wasn't bad. I got the coconut ice cream thing - not too bad either - but again - how long was this sitting in the freezer? The price isn't bad, the portions are huge, but the quality is hit or miss. We saw some people getting pasta with meatballs which were HUGE and made us want to get that next time - assuming there is a next time.....

Oh my god this place is the BEST. I went here with a few friends and our dads for a traditional night out on the town we do with our fathers every other month or so. This place is very old school Italian. Older folks at the bar, regulars seated all around, and comes equipped with an accordion player and a little old man to serenade you. I was in heaven. Portions are huge- but you'll thank them for that. Like a typical Italian family- they don't want you to stop eating. We were seated with great bread, got calamari which was PERFECT. I ordered the chicken al ponte vecchio. It was bring tears to my eyes good! I got it with the homemade whole wheat pasta which I FULLY recommend. It's not healthy, it's not low fat or low cal. I don't even think any options like that exist on the menu. But my god is it good! I ate my leftovers that night- and in the morning the next day- and for lunch. And I WAS STILL SAD when they were gone. I'm going back, I'm bringing friends, I love this place.

Felicia's for this early thirties single attractive type and her girlfriends might be a one shot deal. Food was average and drinks were OK. Crowd was older on a recent Friday night, maybe that was part of the problem. Need to stick to Boston I guess. Is there anywhere outside of Boston for us? If we try it again I'll write an update.

Felicia's is by far one of the best Italian restaurants around. To be honest I prefer it over going into the North End! The food is consistently phenomenal, the portions are huge (and equally as delicious the next day), plus the service is great! My favorite dish to order is the Chicken Parm with a side of Eggplant Parm. There can be a wait during peak times, but they do take reservations. So it is best to make one for Friday or Saturday night. However, if you choose to wait, you will not be disappointed. Treat yourself to a Limoncello martini to compliment your meal. Keep in mind you will most likely be served with a complimentary shot of Limoncello after your meal as well. On Saturday nights they have two musicians that stroll about the restaurant performing traditional Italian songs. There is plenty of parking on the street.

We are visiting the area, and found Felicia's through the Yelp review. Bingo. Great food, good ambiance and wonderful service. The salads were cold and crisp, the entrées were generous and tasty, and the desserts were sinful. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny. We'll go again the next time we're in the area.

Went here last night with my sister and parents for dinner. Parking wasn't a problem, we found a spot in the lot across from u-me and we were seated immediately in a comfy booth out back. The place has a very "neighborhood-y" feel with the bar area crowded by locals and regulars it seemed. The place isn't fancy but comfortable in a familiar way, the waitress remembering some of our names throughout dinner and joking around, it was nice. Food: boring white bread to start but the oil for dipping is delicious. All our meals came with salads, I chose homemade balsamic and was not disappointed. Meal was a special that was absolutely gigantic! It was called chicken anna I believe and it consisted of a layer of breaded chicken, layer of eggplant, spinach, ricotta cheese, mushrooms and red peppers in some sort of sauce and it was great, my only change would be less red pepper and more of a Marsala sauce with the mushrooms. Sister and mom or haddock piccata (de Charlie?) and said it was good but came with weird French fry like roasted potatoes, which I found strange, not pasta? I also got the biggest glass of red wine I've ever seen. It took me all of dinner to drink it! Overall it was a good place with a huge selection of Italian food in a laid back very North End style.

I've always been a fan of Felicia's and never had a bad meal. We went during their lobster special week on a Sunday. Dining area was full so they sat us in the lounge. Service was horrible. Waitress came over after 15-20 mins and took our drink order. We were served bread and dipping oil and sat there so long before she came back to take our order that one of the kids working there brought us over bread and oil again. We got there about 6:30 and she probably took our order around 7:10. I am so disappointed that I don't think I will return. I had to go to the hostess to ask for containers to take food home. Finally the waitress returned... Avoid the bar area. Very cold draft from the door every time someone comes in and out. Food is good but I would rather dine somewhere where the service is good..

We ate here on a Wedneday night with a restaurant.com coupon for $25 off. We walked in without reservations and it was pretty crowded at the bar, but we were seated immediately. Our server was SUPER friendly. We ordered the lobster rav - great portion and good creamy sauce, and the cioppino - again HUGE portion and decent flavor. We both loved the atmosphere compared to other Italian places in the immediate area - it wasn't as dark and crowded. It felt spacious and welcoming. The food was also a great value with that coupon - too bad we only bought one and they don't sell them anymore! We will definitely go back and try other recommended dishes!

I have seen Felicia's being advertised and had not given it any thought until my husband suggested that we try a local italian restaurant we've never tried. I went right to Yelp which lead me to their website/menu. Located right on Main Street in Stoneham, the menu offers traditional italian faire so we decided to give it a try. We arrived on Memorial Day around 5 PM and there were patrons but they weren't "busy". We parked right on Main Street in front of the public library. We were seated right away and our waitress couldn't have been nicer. We both started with an insalata and fresh italian bread...both included in the price of our entree. I ordered the gnocchi marinara with buffalo mozzerella and my husband had the eggplant parmesean with a side of penne marinara. Loved their marinara sauce! The portions were HUGE (enough for a second meal for both of us) and cooked to perfection. Their prices are very reasonable given the quality and portion size. We loved the fact that everything was not a la carte. Felicia's has moved to the top of our list of favorite italian restaurants.

There seems to be some confusion on here as to the level of awesomeness so let me break it down in terms we can all understand. When I go to a more chain style Italian restaurant and want a limoncello martini, it can be made properly but there are no guarantees it's not going to be a hassle. Will they use the creamy version or am I being served a glorified lemon drop? What's the house pour for vodka that I'm getting, are we going below smirnoff in quality or will I actually be served something drinkable. Some places in the North End have only a wine selection so there's not even a guarantee I'll be having one. When I go to Felicias not only will it be made perfectly Ketel One Citroen goes on as the base vodka so you know it's of quality. The same care into the drinks gets put into their food and I'll gladly be back for more. One of the few places I'll trust to serve me seafood in pasta and it's always a delight to see an appertif of limoncello heading to your table when the bill os served...

  • Jay L.

Our server was pleasant, though spoke so loudly that she sounded like she was yelling all the time. It took awhile for our drink order to be taken. Eventually, the pre-dinner cocktails didn't arrive before our entrées, so we didn't get to try the recommended martinis. Our salads were unremarkable and drenched in dressing. The entrees were large. My veal parm had very little taste and the sauce on the side pasta was bland. I found the entrées pricey for the quality. Our server did a nice thing by comping us 2 shots of Limoncello to make up for our disappointment over not getting our martinis.

Since I was a little girl, my family has been coming to Felicia's to celebrate numerous occasions. The people that frequent this restaurant have been going there for years and know the staff well...but this does not deter the hosts/hostesses and other customers from being very friendly! There is a small bar that seats the usual older Italian gentlemen...who, if you are a chic, young woman like myself *cough cough* won't hesitate to smile and wink! The atmosphere is small and cozy, with dim lighting...good for a date! The wait staff is friendly and some are young, but they work hard and are attentive to your needs...*especially if they know your party. The Italian food is delicious and one can find many standards...however, the lamb chops are fabulous and are cooked to perfection...which is very important when dealing with lamb. I also recommend the pork chops, chicken piccata, and stuffed mushrooms..The appetizers are awesome as well...whether it is an antipasto or fried calamari. Although I don't know firsthand, family that I have gone with says they have nice wine as well. Good food, nice little atmosphere!!! Felicia's gets my vote.

Visited Felicia's last night for the first time. Took my wife out on a date there cause she always wanted to try it. Food wasn't anything special. I got the lasagna and my wife got raviolis. Don't let the "north end" name fool you, you'll find better food actually in the North End. Portions were pretty good. Bread was fresh and it came with this delicious oil pepper garlic mix. Pretty good atmosphere and nice layout. Service was OK but not great. No parking unless you want to risk getting towed by parking in somebody else's lot. The reason for only 3 stars is the food quality and taste as well the incorrect prices listed on their menu on the website. I checked out the prices to make sure it wasn't gonna put us into poverty by dinning there but when we arrived the menu prices where a lot higher than displayed on the website. Pretty upset about that but what can you do...? All in all it wasn't a terrible experience but I don't think I'd go back. I'd rather try another place in hopes of finding something better.

Went there with hubbie one night on a whim - it was ok - the red house wine was good but everything else was tasteless - won't be trying them again. the waitress was the saviour of it all - she was attentive and sweet. I have had better italian food other places.

Uninspired, typical suburb italian food. It does have a nice family feel and the kind of place a long of regulars come on a regular basis. Special appetizer was scallops wrapped in bacon. Not very italian... My wife and I typically order a red sauce item and a saute item if we're visiting an Italian restaurant for the first time. You can tell alot by the sauce...It was very old school italian restaurant and had a lot of tomato paste. Not my favorite and prefer the sauce made with more crushed tomatoes. The chicken and eggplant parm was fair. I ordered the linguine with white clam sauce and was more saute with a stock than oil. Not very tasty and definitely had better elsewhere. Desert was the usual stuff bought from a foodservice company. It wasn't horrible and guess it isn't bad and a better choice than the chain restaurants.

Food was excellent - went early on Sunday afternoon. Not crowded at all. The place could use a little sprucing up as it was very dark and dingy on the inside. We both had Chicken Parm and it was fantastic with large amounts of food. Each dish had enough food for two meals. Will go back regularly. Parking can be a challenge.

Stopped in here early June just in time to see the Bruins play. We sat at the bar, ordered wine. Got a great seat to watch the game. I ordered chicken Marsala. It was wonderful. Probably the lightest Marsala sauce I have ever had with wonderful fresh mushrooms and nicely scalloped chicken breast. The meat was very tender, not over cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The portion was huge and I did end up taking most of it home (left overs were just as good!!). The salad had a wonderful little extra of blanched beans. They were GREAT. Dipping oil was nicely seasoned with a little spice and I think olives... not sure but we devoured it. My friend ordered calamari with just olive oil and garlic, not on the menu but she was craving it and the manager said no problem. They made her up a well sized portion. She said it was tender and seasoned just right. We split a cannoli for dessert. They fill them right to order and the cream was so smooth. No gritty taste at all. I am putting the place on my frequent list. Service, food, and drinks were all above par AND you can find parking in Stoneham!! Thanks for a great night! ... oh and the Bruins won to tie the series.... and we all know what happened next.....

Love this place. Love the ambience. It's a riot. The food is a bit heavy and old school for me. But the drinks are top notch and inexpensive. Love all the older local Italian guys who hang out there. Always up for a light conversation and some laughs. Come here if you want to "remember where you came from" and don't take yourself super seriously.

This place was a prime candidate for the show Kitchen Nightmares. I think Felicia's kids must have run it into the ground after she died. The prices seemed more expensive than the average entrée in Boston's North End and quality of food came nowhere close. My grandparents gave me a $50 gift card to this restaurant for Christmas because they thought it would be fun to try a local restaurant in Stoneham, MA since I am new to the area. I am sad to to say it was so disgusting that I don't know if I will be able to get myself to use the remaining $8 I kept to try a sandwich. I ordered the fettuccine rustica. I immediately lost my appetite as I watched the waitress bring out a huge pile of slop with sauce spilling off the plate, down her arm, and eventually into my lap as she placed it on the table. I am no gourmet, but the sausage tasted like leftovers and the texture of the peppers was as if they were either frozen or microwaved...maybe both. The portions were huge, but my girlfriend had to convince me to take home the half plate of food I couldn't eat since she didn't want to see so much food wasted. Unfortunately, it still ended up in the trash. I hope someone reads this and offers to refund the $8 on my card. I could use it to buy pasta and sausage from the grocery store and make a far better meal. I'm happy to report that my girlfriend did not dump me after I took her to such an embarrassing date spot on a Friday night.

North End Italian in the suburbs! My husband and I went this weekend. We frequent the North End but getting a parking spot or a table on the weekend is a hassle so we decided to try Felicia's. It was a Friday night and was busy but we made a reservation and were seated right away. Parking wasn't a problem and was 10x better than the North End. Janet was our server and she was great: pleasant and efficient. We both had a glass of wine to start and it was a great sized pour. You just don't see that at restaurants much anymore. I've seen reviews of people not liking the bread or salad. I can't help but think these reviewers think the Olive Garden is real Italian. The bread and salad were good and very similar to other real Italian eateries. I had the Veal Margherita and he had the Scallopini Marsala. Both were excellent. The veal was lightly battered and the Margherita sauce had the perfect amount of acid (lemon) mixed in with the vinegar from the artichokes. I tasted the Marsala sauce as well and it was perfect. Not too much wine but just enough to compliment the veal and mushrooms. Both of us had a side of linguini, perfectly cooked al dente. And the sauce was amazing. I usually don't like sauce that I don't make myself but this was fantastic. Summary - we will be back!

Felicia's has been one of our favorite restaurants for almost 10 years however I feel things have changed in the last year or so. The last 4 times my wife and I went we found both of our dishes were bland and flat something has definitely changed in the kitchen likely the cooks. The food has just been OK but it used to be incredible. We will be trying the other area Italian spots before we go back again. Although I will miss the goblets of wine they serve which are definitely the largest pour I have had at any restaurant and they make great martinis. Something we will not miss is the cranky hostesses

Don't bother making a reservation. Every time we've made a reservation, they can't honor it within 15 minutes of the specified time, and you're stuck either standing outside in the cold, or standing amidst an overcrowded, tiny, packed bar area. They can't manage the front of the house at all. This has happened to us three times already. We won't keep trying here on weekends, but it is quiet on weeknights. The food is good enough. It's your basic red sauce Italian, monstrous portions which make the prices seem less outlandish (but still expensive.) The servers are usually pretty mediocre. But seriously, Felicia's isn't worth the hassle on a weekend. They ruin every single weekend night we try to spend there by making us late for our movie or not able to eat there at all since they don't honor reservations with any regularity or predictability.

Not sure what people are thinking with this place. Yes it has the cool, old school ambiance, they also have massive portions and good service. That gets them some stars in my book. In terms of their food, the garlic bread is really outstanding. We ate their Chicken Ziti Broccoli and Tagliatelle Bolgnese. Overall we felt the food was extremely bland. I had to pour a good amount of salt onto the food. Just seemed like I could have cooked this better at home.

I am beyond disappointed in the service at Felicia's last night! Went there with one other person without at reservation, so I expected to wait a little bit. It's was fairly busy (not as busy as most restaurants on a Saturday at 6pm!) We waited about 15 minutes to even be acknowledged by a rude hosts, who clearly couldn't handle her job. She complained the whole time we were there. After putting our name in a few minutes later, another party of two strolls up and puts their name in. The rude hosts says "Do you have a reservation?" The couple clearly states "No we did not realize we needed a reservation." Then the hosts seats them before us. We said excuse me to the hosts and reminded her that we were there first. She huffed and puffed and rudely stated "Those people had a reservation!" We heard them say that they didn't so we knew that she was lying. All she had to say was that she made a mistake but instead she was rudely talking down to us. That was no way to treat customers that were very patient. So we walked out of mess they call a restaurant. Long story short, DO NOT GO TO FELICIA'S!! I HIGHLY recommend going to Sabatino's in Wakefield instead. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. They have the best red sauce I have ever tasted in my life and I go to a lot of restaurants! We also had their sangria and it was so delicious!! I do not know how Felicia's runs such a customer service oriented business with such a sour attitude!

I agree with most reviewers the portions were GiNormous! I seldomly fail to finish a pasta dish I enjoy. Yet the Fettuccini Rustica defeated me!. Overall the service was great and my entree was PHENOMENAL. I couldn't quite give it the 5 stars because my bread came out cold and the dip was way to spicy for just an oil based bread dip. Also the side salad with my entree was a bit old looking and they gave me the wrong dressing to boot!. I would recommend the meal I had here to anyone though plam for the sides to be a bit Meh.

Went to this location to dine in twice in the last two months. Both times the food was great but the service was awful!... Because of the food I decided to give another chance to this place but this time I didn't want to deal with the unpleasant dine in experience so I decided to order to go. Well... Not much change there! The lady that answer the phone was super rude, she was rushing to get my order didn't have a good understanding of the menu because she couldn't understand "vitelo a la parmigiana"so she passed the phone to Mrs rude#2 that finalized my order as I was her worse enemy.... Sour Ladies!!! I'm done with this place!! Again .... food is good but not worth the service!!

Went to Felicia's last night with 2 friends. It was crowded and we didn't have a reservation but we only waited about 10 minutes. The waitress, Cathy, was very nice and friendly. She was helpful in choosing what we were going to have offering her opinion on different items. The mussels were excellent. They kept the bread basket full throughout the meal. We all ordered something different but everything was delicious. The bolognese is one of the best I've had! The portion was enough for at least 2 meals but I stretched it to 3. The lemonchello after was a nice surprise. It is a bit hectic and not a quiet dining experience but we all commented on how it was entertaining and made the experience better for us. You don't feel like when your having a conversation the whole place can hear you. Three woman having a few drinks can get a little rowdy but it didn't feel like anybody was paying much attention to us so that was good. If you want a quiet dinner & privacy maybe not the best choice so keep that in mind. I would go back anytime.

Bread was stale, Caesar salad ok and lasagna was overcooked mush. Pretty good crowd for late on a Tuesday but I would not come back.

One of the best REAL Italian meals outside of Venice, or Boston's North End. Everything was great. We get seated, there's immediately ice cold water on the table and before we knew it, our warm, fresh bread, with the delicious dipping oil. Our server, Allene was fantastic, she took our drink order, we both got Sangria, which was fresh, ice cold and perfectly made. After hearing the dinner specials, we both ordered the Lobster Pie, which although small, was overflowing with fresh, juicy lobster claw meat, I'm talking Whole Claw, not little chunks. The salad was fresh and crispy with the perfect about of dressing. We wanted for nothing. Allene made sure we were all taken care of. Thank you Allene and the entire staff of Felicia's. Everything from the moment we walked in until we left was perfect. Allene even took time to take our picture. Best meal in Stoneham

It's one of my favorite restaurants. I love the linguine with red clam sauce and the baked haddock. These are delicious dishes. I also love the lobster specials and other holiday dishes such as corned beef and cabbage. They also have many specials in addition to their regular menu. The food is great and there's plenty of it.

A very unassuming restaurant from the looks of the exterior as the dark reflective mirrored glass panels prevent you from looking in. Once you walk in you are greeted with the sweet sounds of Frankie Sinatra playing in the background. The decor is rustic and dated with old wooden tables and chairs. The walls are adorned with pictures of famous celebrities who have dined here. Once seated we were immediately served water and bread with olive oil. The bread was not the typical variety I was expecting from an Italian restaurant, it was your basic Italian bread you would buy at your local supermarket, so the bread was dry and cold. The single serving butter tubs were firm and not easily spreadable. I also found a used butter tub mixed in with my bread, c'mon guys you need to check more carefully before serving it to the customers. We ordered the Shrimp scampi with Angel hair pasta and I had the Pollo Braciolettine with rigatoni. Our meals were served with a side salad that was fresh, crunchy and delicious. Our meals came out quickly and the flavors were spot on Delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked al-dente. The marinara sauce on the rigatoni was sweet and velvety smooth, it was so good! The Shrimp scampi had a nice chew and was not overly seasoned. The Pollo Braciolettine was one word "AWESOME". It comes with 2 huge chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella smothered in a delicious concoction of white wine lemon infused sauce served with huge broccoli florets. Overall a great place for authentic Italian dining. One word of caution, the restaurant does not have a parking lot. Park by the public library as noted by the front of the restaurant entrance. If you park next to the "DB mart" they will tow your car at least that's what the sign says they will do. You can park on "Main street" for up to 2 hours as posted. As the out of towner "Consigliere" I highly recommend this place!

Great Italian. Antipasto, caprese, bolognese, linguine with clams, shrimp fra diavlo are all great. Feel confident ordering them. Bar is a little slow, but drinks are worth the wait. Check to make sure there isn't a show at the theater before coming and make a reservation.

I have ordered take out from here and also dined in. Both times the hostess was very friendly. For take out I had their healthy dish which had tons if veggies in it and was large enough to split into two meals for lunch the next day. When I dined in, I had the eggplant Parmesan which was also tasty. Aside from driving into the north end, the meals were above standard. The night we ate at the restaurant, there was karaoke in the bar area. It was a little loud and competed with the traditional Italian music playing from the speakers in the dining room. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic Italian dinner, I wouldn't suggest going on karaoke night.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
