Ok, unfortunately after 3 trips over a span of a year the first being when they opened I have to say not much has improved. The drinks are still delicious but I didn't pay $13.99 for a well done burger when I asked for medium and soggy bacon. There is no excuse that my order wasn't perfect. We were 1 of 3 tables inside on a Saturday afternoon. The other tables were already served so I'm not sure why the kitchennstaff was so busy that my,house couldn't be pulled off the grill while it was still pink. I gave you three chances, we won't be back.

OK. Really nice hip looking sports bar venue so we were excited about the ambience with the high ceilings and pop art murals of burgers on the walls. But for a place specializing in burgers...the burgers were really terrible. Dry, overcooked in stale buns...everything was so disappointing. Wait staff was friendly enough but pretty slow and not at all knowledgeable. Me: " What salad is good?" Him: " I don't really eat salad, so...(shrug)." And later: Me: " What dessert is good?" Him: " I don't really eat dessert, so..." Sad to say but I would stick to Plan B or Max Tavern across the way if you want burgers. I think even chain restaurants like Red Robin and Five Guys have way tastier burgers....this was more on par with a TGIF on an off night.

I stopped here after going to a nearby competitor and finding it absolutely packed. I was looking for a place where I could eat (preferably a gluten free burger) at the bar on my way to another location. This place was perfect. The bartender was friendly but not overly so, and I felt perfectly comfortable as a woman dining alone. The atmosphere was more relaxed as it wasn't as busy as other places. Building my own burger was really fun! My combo turned out very well. The burger was just slightly over cooked (I wanted medium rare) and the gluten free bun wasn't toasted, which is a bummer since it holds together better when it is. Neither of those things severely impacted the meal. The fries were great and I liked that it was a small portion. I would definitely stop by again and try another burger concoction.

It breaks my heart to give Luxe two stars, but I have to be honest. After high expectations and much anticipation, we stopped here on the way home off the highway for takeout. Ordering ahead of time 2 pretzel chicken burgers, mac n' cheese, and 3 large milkshakes I must say I was disappointed. The milkshakes were for the ride home, and came in small sized cups, but after some research I found that it is served in a much bigger glass if you eat inside, but we still paid the same price. Instead of a juicy chicken breast for the burgers, two breaded chicken fingers came between two buns, no bueno! I ended up taking the bread off and eating the chicken separately, but the sauce was tasty. I saw on some brochures that Luxe participates in local community building and events, which is great, but maybe it's not for me! The mac n' cheese was the best item for the price, but after nearly spending $55 total, I'll be going elsewhere next time.

I used a groupon to go here a few times. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a great layout and decor is awesome. However the food is subpar. the burgers taste frozen and the fries were soggy. The appetizer platter we ordered wasn't great- the wings sucked! The prices were in line with Plan B's but the quality was terrible. Won't be going back. Stick with Plan B for gourmet burgers.

Admittedly I have only been once, but unfortunately wasn't wow'd in the least. I am very willing to give this place another try, and will update my post if necessary. Craft burger joints are obviously the latest rage. They seem to be popping up everywhere, and in some instances just like Starbucks within site of another one. My only wish if that these places (Luxe is not alone) would treat their high quality highly priced, ground meats with the respect they deserve, and serve a burger as ordered. I ordered a medium rare MOAB - a burger topped with black pastrami. It was delicious, but I could not stop to think how much better it would have been if cooked properly. It was well done, and a surprising number of shades different than the pastrami. If I can order bacon cooked crispy at any diner with wild success, why can't a burger joint nail every burger that comes out of their craft burger restaurant kitchen? The beer selection is a combination of mass produced (Bud light, Corona, Heineken), craft imposters (Shock Top, Kona, Magic Hat), and craft (Sixpoint, Illusive Traveler, Foolproof). A blend of them all, trying to please a wide variety of customers. Unfortunately I lean way to the craft side, and oddly I had to settle for choice #3 after 2 stops at the bar by our waiter. Off day perhaps. I do like the creativity of having 5 different Mules on the cocktail menu. That's a must try for my next visit. Wish me better luck ~

Stopped by with spouse for Friday lunch. We both ordered burgers, as this is clearly their specialty. There was no wait, the open atmosphere was great, we had a charming waitress, and our booth was fine. Our burgers came cooked exactly as requested, with fries/cold slaw (me/spouse), and garnishes. They were big, very juicy, and excellent. The only overall negative was the price being on the high side. I'd recommend trying Luxe!

Bought a Groupon for this new restaurant in Springfield. Situated in a building that was formerly the visitor's center. Atmosphere is nice-crisp and clean. We sat at the bar. Tried a few local draft beers that were delicious. You have the option to build your own burger-a check sheet starting with meat, adding all toppings and such. I like the concept- little room for error. The burgers were very good-cooked as ordered. We both felt that the buns were too soft to accommodate the juicy burgers. I chose the potato salad as my side, my son had the fries. Both were good. This restaurant is competing with Max's Burgers and Plan B burgers in the same location. Probably a better value to go to Luxe. The other 2 have slightly better burgers. I have no reason not to go back, but I am not rushing.

I was hyped up to go here, and long behold a road trip had me go to it. Inside is nicely maintained. Build your burger is nice, and other options on the menu are good for the health crazed. I built a burger with a side of potato salad, my mom built a burger without a bun, sister a salad- yeah we had options. Wait staff was friendly which is always a plus.

A fun place to grab a burger! The food was ok. Not amazing, but defiantly not bad. The option to build your own burger is pretty cool and they have a lot of different options to put on your burger. The bacon jam was delicious. I would probably go back again at some point, but if I never did I wouldn't be upset. Staff was very friendly, and our server was very good.

I was very disappointed with my first visit to this restaurant shortly after it opened but decided to give it another try, and I'm so glad that I did. The first time I left without eating the burger that I had ordered (it was overcooked not once but twice), so I felt I should see if the burger experience had improved. I ordered using their custom burger form and was pleasantly surprised when my burger was cooked to perfection. Tasty and juicy with all the right toppings - delicious! Nice selections of wines at the bar and some prompt friendly service for our luncheon. If you've been to this restaurant and were disappointed, give it another try. They seem to have gotten their act together.

Let me first state this is not my first time here but my second in fact. The first time I came here I was not impressed. I left there thinking maybe it was just what I ordered. Today was my second time there, I got their premium burger 11.99. I ordered the burger medium, it came to me well done. Pretty disappointed who the can tell the difference in burger meat if it's over cooked? I'll never come back here again and I advice you to do the same.

I visited Luxe 3 times so far and have had a good experience. The fries are delicious and hand cut. The last time I went I got the wings for an appetizer and they were very good. I usually build my own burger and it tastes good, not great.

I've been here twice now. The first time over the summer and most recently over the weekend. Both times the service was below average, it felt like the help really didn't want to be there and didn't want us there either. Service both times was slow and we had to ask for refills and extra napkins. The restaurant itself is nice and there was quite a crowd at the bar. The food was good enough the first time to give them a second try. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be back. The calamari was terrible. I'm assuming they go for a "light" batter, because there really wasn't a coating on it and it didn't have any crunch. There was plenty of grease, however, saturating the bottom of the serving plate. I couldn't believe the calamari wasn't drained or placed on paper towels before being sent out of the kitchen. If I felt the waitress or staff genuinely cared, I would have sent it back, but with the attitude and paranoia of what might be done to the rest of my order, I accepted it and thought 'are you serious?' and 'never again.'

Not sure why Luxe has such bad reviews. I don't think it's the best burger I've had but it was pretty good for the price. I love the build your own burger concept and I was surprised that it didn't rack up the price of the burger too much. Luxe is very reasonable by including some toppings in the base price and giving you a variety to choose from, some with an extra charge. Loved being able to get the burger on a bed of lettuce instead of a bun too. You can also choose to have a side salad, which was substantial, instead of fries for a minimal extra charge. Negative is that the burger was well done when I asked for medium. Same with my husband's burger. I don't think their burgers are as flavorful and moist as Plan B either. But better price point than Plan B. Good service and love the modern decor.

After my recent visit, I'm willing to give Luxe a two-star upgrade & would go again. There was a political fundraiser in full effect when we arrived for our daughter's 15th (!) birthday dinner. She chose Luxe over other burger spots because, she informed me, Luxe has good cheese fries. Despite the hoopla from the politicos, our service was friendly & attentive. Drinks, apps, dinner all came out timely but also leaving us time to enjoy ourselves. Fried pickles....really good, like I-almost-ate-them-all good. Crunchy, salty, sour with spicy dipping sauce. Good stuff. Mozzarella triangles must have been good. I had zero! One 17 year old ate them all! Then wondered why she couldn't finish her burger. Kids had cokes...can't mess that up. Free refills kept them happy. I had a very nice blueberry mule...well done bartender. Hub had a Boddingtons. Nice selection of beers & drinks. Fries & onion rings are so good. Love the giant Vidalia rings! I like Luxe's build your own burger concept. And they have good burger choices on the menu. But I maintain something is missing. My burger was good...cooked nicely medium but the bun was a soggy disaster right from when it arrived. Yes I had lettuce & tomato but the bun should not have the consistency of partially digested bread! And just a sprinkle of seasoning in/on the burger would really make it sing. I would come back again. I think Luxe has worked out some of its kinks & is improving. Also the prices are reasonable...for dinner for four with 2 apps & 2 alcohol drinks, getting a bill for $80 was nice, especially with two take home boxes for the kids.

I'm a fan. I love their modern interior and love sitting at their big bar with large tv screens. There is something very inviting about it. Was it the best burger I've ever had in my life? No, but it was exactly how I ordered it and the options are many. Burger prices are reasonable. I loved their S'mores Vodka Martini. It's more like a milkshake. Toasted marshmellow vodka with vanilla ice cream, a rim of chocolate syrup and graham cracker crumbs and a toasted marshmellow on top. I thought about it for days afterward! 3/14/15 Visited again and was so disheartened by the service. It took about 15-20 minutes before someone took our drink order and the drink arrived when I was done with my meal. Tried to get hostess attention or anyone walking by but it just became a pass the buck game.

Stopped in for a late lunch today and was eager to try this new burger place. We were greeted and seated right away. We asked for a booth which was extremely tight, and should of asked for a table. The decor is modern with huge windows. The parking lot is kind of dumpy and could be repaved. Our waiter was very prompt, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The BBQ Bison burger was outstanding. The chicken chef salad was very good too. Very cool mixed drinks and some great beers to choose from. I don't understand all the bad bandwagon reviews everyone posted. Most of them are from people with 10 reviews or less. Seems suspicious? Went back a second time and it was very busy. We were given a wait time, and we're seated within five minutes. Everything was very good again. The fried pickles were very good, but the coleslaw was extremely bland. Loved the cheesy tots, and the Mule drinks. Would still go back again.

Service was good...food horrible. My burger was ordered medium and came out well done despite the chef cutting into half bc it was on a wrap. The wrap was covered in oil bc it was placed in the greasy grill to be heated. The fries were good until I got to the bottom to what seems like the scraps from other foods being fried in the same fryer a few hours before my order. Came here because I had a groupon but would never return....will stick to Plan B

I would have thought I'd be giving this place at least a 4 star when I first walked in. For a burger joint and bar, it's pretty nice. The prices were not bad considering the location. The service however was pretty awful. Our server could not stop chomping on his gum either, it was the most annoying thing. I could see him on the other side of the restaurant munching away with a 10 foot jaw opening. The food was ok. I'll say that. But there was not enough to make me ever want to go back. If you're hungry and in the area I suppose it's not a bad idea to stop by and have it once. But not for me.

I'm utterly flabbergasted by the lukewarm to downright terrible reviews this place has received so far. Kinda makes me wonder if there isn't some kind of smear campaign being orchestrated? Personally, I've only eaten at Luxe once, but I can say I'm already a fan. I visited the West Columbus Avenue location recently with a group of friends. We were all impressed by the décor, which, much like that of neighboring burger bar Plan B, is modern and stylish, but friendly and comfortable. The art, which puts a burger-centric spin on famous Pop Art (a burger Lichtenstein, a burger Warhol, etc.), and freaky-deaky light fixtures, both caught the eye of members of my party. But it was the food and service that really impressed. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were incredibly nice and made every effort to leave us satisfied. And satisfied we were after sampling the delights which emerged from the kitchen. We ordered a trio of appetizers; the pretzel-coated chicken fingers, the steak & cheese eggrolls, and the fan favorite fried mozzarella. All three were delicious, and much heartier than we anticipated, leaving us a bit more stuffed than intended. But we also ordered up some burgers (a bison burger with BBQ sauce and onion rings, the ultimate bacon burger, and a BYOB consisting of the wagyu, blue cheese, bacon, chili, chipotle ketchup, secret sauce, and BBQ sauce) and some of the build your own mac & cheese. All three burgers, with their myriad of flavors, were nothing short of incredible, prepared exactly to specifications and bursting with fresh, tasty, toppings and condiments. The hand cut fries that accompanied them were great as well. And the mac & cheese, with bacon and buffalo chicken, was just a decadent dollop of cheesy goodness on top! After all that I also tried the peanut butter Snickers pie, which was rich with chocolaty, peanut buttery awesomeness. And even after eating like hellassdamn kings, plus desert, and a couple of alcoholic beverages, I was surprised that the bill wasn't nearly as high as I'd imagined it was going to be, leaving me plenty of room to generously tip our well deserving server. I left knowing I will absolutely be visiting Luxe again, and wondering what the hell was wrong with everybody else who'd reviewed the place so far? Sorry Yelpers, but you got this one wrong. The Springfield area has another great burger joint to be proud of.

Very nice, comfortable environment, right next door the the Hall of Fame. The "Frickles" (fried pickles) were a nice starter. My companion said her beef burger was excellent, and the veggie burger was the best I've had anywhere. Sweet potato fries and onion rings were perfect. It was a very enjoyable meal.

Was here a few weeks ago for the first time. Food was tasty, and we like the option of building your own burger. This would be 5 stars, however the apps and food came out at the same time. We'll definitely be back again though!

Luxe Burger Bar is a recent addition to the area. Located in the shadow of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Luxe made its way over to Springfield after enjoying a remarkable run in Providence, Rhode Island, where it won Rhode Island Monthly's "Best Burger" award three years in a row. Bright, colorful, and lively with 80s music playing over the speakers, Luxe certainly has a lively vibe. Luxe specializes in (you guessed it) burgers, with a heavy emphasis on customization. Along with menus, customers also receive a burger check-list, where you can create your own burger with just about any topping you can imagine. The build-your-own burger process consists of eight (eight!) steps: after choosing your burger, which could be made out of various types of beef, chicken, turkey, or even Ahi tuna steak, you choose from a variety of cheeses, up to three toppings, and special premium toppings they call "burger bling" to really jazz things up. You then choose if you want your burger on a bun (of which they have several types), in a wrap, atop mixed greens, or - if you're really daring - you can order it "fatty style" which utilizes grilled cheeses as buns (just make sure you've been medically cleared before doing so). Finally, you can choose a regular or premium side, and, if you chose fries for your side, if you would like them "pimped" with a variety of toppings. If you aren't in the mood to come up with your own burger creation, there's no need to worry; Luxe offers a full menu of burgers, chili, chowder, salads, and build-your-own macaroni and cheese. In addition, there is a great cocktail menu and an interesting collection of adult milkshakes including Chocolate Popcorn, Pancakes & Bacon, and Twinkie Caramel, among others. My only knock on Luxe - it gets BRIGHT inside during certain times of day because of all the glass walls. Even while blinded, however, the burgers more than make up for it.

Way better than plan B around the corner! Better atmosphere and food selection. Got the groupon, and will be a continued customer. Good drink selection. Build your own burger menu is great, as are the other menu items. Definitely worth checking out!

I'm surprised that this place doesn't have better reviews. The hubs and I snagged a Groupon for Luxe Burger Bar and quickly went into capitalize on it. I got the fajita steak salad and the H built his own burger. I was blown away by the salad, filled with a nice mix of lettuce and perfectly cooked mid-rare steak. The tortilla strips were a bit excessive, so I would order without those next time but the guacamole more than made up for it and made a super, zesty flavorful dressing. The burger was juicy and had a nice meaty flavor. I would totally go back, and totally order the fajita salad again, and I recommend you do so as well. We also got the fried pickles which were light and crispy and had a great dipping sauce.

I was pretty disappointed of this place. I read some of the reviews, and decided to give it a go. The place was dead, but it still took our server 15 mins to bother to come get our drink orders. The menu didn't tell you what soft drinks that they offered, so when I asked for a Dr. Pepper, she replied, "oh, we don't carry stuff like that. We have root beer though." So we ordered Root Beer. When she brought it to us, it was in bottles, so we asked if there were free refills, and naturally, the answer was no but, "we can give you something else to drink for free after you finish these."......Um. Why didn't you tell us your drink options before??? But on to the food. It was really quite bland. My boyfriend ordered a Build Your Own Burger, and he said that the burger that he ordered from Burger King the previous night was better than what he received tonight. I ordered the Build Your Own Mac and Cheese, and minus the uncooked broccoli, it wasn't terrible. Although I would've chosen Kraft Mac and Cheese over this any day. Our server definitely took her sweet time throughout the night. We were practically begging her to just give us the check so we could leave asap, but it took another 15mins to finally get our card back. And keep in mind, there was one other couple in the restaurant, with 3 other waitresses just standing around. So word of advice...don't waste your money or time here. Way overpriced for the horrible service and bland food. I only give them 2 stars because they had a pretty great playlist on the whole time.

Food and entertainment very good... Service kinda ruined our night. We were enjoying the band and server neglected us for over 20 minutes. (though things started out fine). We would've stayed longer to listen to the band and order another drink or two, but by the time we were waited on, the moment was lost. So, the server lost a bigger tip, the restaurant lost revenue, and we lost our groove. Boo. But, definitely get their chili if you go. The burgers are tasty and cooked to order. The customizable ticket you fill out, ensures that you get everything you like on a burger and nothing you don't. Also, they were offering a Crabby Patty special recently. It was essentially a big crabcake on a bun. Sounded good..I recommend that you NOT get that. The concept is admirable, but it was flavorless, mostly breading, hardly any crab or crab flavor and no seasonings. Stick to the burgers and you'll like it here. :)

Fantastic food! Fantastic customer service! Our waiter(Jeff) was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. When I asked him about the bison, he told me everything I needed to know to make my decision. I did get the bison and it was amazing!! I've never had a better burger. The next time we go back we will definitely ask for Jeff!!

The prices were average and so was the food. I felt like I was in a corporate cafeteria rather than a restaraunt. The waitstaff was great but the food was nothing special. It's an average burger, at best.

My original idea was to give four stars, which would have been the average of 3 star service and 5 star food. However when dessert came out it changed my food rating to 4. The restaurant was fairly busy, I went about 7pm on Saturday. The hostess quoted us a 45-60 minute wait. It ended up being about 25-30 I did find it kind of odd that there were 4 or 5 empty tables the whole time we were waiting. The tables were all over the restaurant so it didn't seem like it was because they had a server call out. When we got seated and the waitress came over the first thing I noticed was that she was chewing gum which as far as I'm concerned is a huge no-no when serving. We ordered a couple of sodas and the calamari appetizer. The calamari was excellent, lightly battered and mixed in were battered banana pepper rings that I love. The calamari was served on melted herbed butter which was delicious. The two burgers were wonderful as well. I ordered the Traskmaster which was a wagyu beef burger with fried pickles, fried jalapeños cheese and bacon. My GF ordered the MOAB. Neither of us tried the build your own burger options. The two burgers were cooked perfectly, mine was medium rare and my GFs was medium well. The sides of potato salad and onions rings were equally delicious. The onion rings had a crispy light and airy batter and the potato salad was was wonderfully seasoned. Dessert was a big disappointment. We opted to share the "Grand Marnier creme brûlée". When I think of creme brûlée I expect a nice crunchy sugary top on a creamy vanilla custard. There was no crunch at all on the top and the parts that were melted tasted horribly burnt. I don't know how Grand Marnier got involved in the name, maybe the dessert chef was chugging a bottle of it when he was making dessert because it sure didn't taste like it was an ingredient. We went there because of a Groupon. I would probably go back again since the burgers were so good, but I'm definitely not overly excited about the overall experience.

We have been here a few times. Great burgers, salads. Good quality meats and great choices. Only thing did not like was the onion rings. Too much dough. Otherwise, great place, and will come again.

This place gives you a cool dining experience. It's a cool building and modern atmosphere, the way to order your burger by using the fill out order form is fun, and gets you ready to eat something great. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. Reading the menu, the prices were reasonable, but marketing text like "our own gold label special beef blend" or something to that effect, raise your expectations when what is presented is a machine compacted, average tasting and not very thick burger patty. Service was good, atmosphere was cool, food was eh. But I think maybe the marketing message just hyped it. I've had worse meals, it's not bad if you know what to expect, I just wasn't blown away like I was hoping.

Great Bloody Mary. They have one of the best steak salads I've ever had. They make their own salad dressing and guacamole. Although, I think they should offer more other then just hamburgers. They should have other options I bet they would be great.

This review is LONG overdue. But all in all, I've had one of the worst food experience here and the only reason I gave it some stars was the wonderful service and the interior. I walked in one day with two of my cousins and my brother and we were all excited to try the "Frankenstein." We were greeted by a cheerful and friendly waitress. But sadly, the food was not up to par. We all ordered med. rare burgers, and ALL have came out overcooked, not even well done. This was not even close to med. rare. I could barely eat all the patties because they were extremely dry and every time I ate it, I was picking at it and I never do that. I was hoping for some pink, but got none. The coleslaw was very watered down, and everything else was mediocre. Maybe I'm being to harsh, but the food was very disappointing. I will not being coming here again, of course. It's been a year, and I have no urge to come by there and eat.

Just had Luxe Burger for the first time and I was very happy. The build your own burger portion of the menu is fun and exciting and I was able to create exactly what I wanted. We started off with the fried pickles as our appetizer and they were great! Our server, Sarah was great! Very pleasant. My only problem with the place was that my burger was over cooked, but that isn't usually a deal breaker for me. I will be going back soon.

Food was good, but not prepared correctly. Our waitress was very unfriendly and not personable at all. She said maybe 9 words the entire time. Service was slow and we got cold food as well. It was good enough to give 3 stars but I'm definitely not going to go out of my way to go there again.

Very good, we were 2 adults and 3 kids. I only have 2 complaints and they are minor. First the kids burger is very small perhaps it could be call a slider and offer 1 or 2. Also the chili on the nachos, while it had great flavor was more spicy than expected, my daugher who loves nachos was not able to eat them. These, are very minor easy fixes, otherwise everything was excellent.

We came here for the first time last night before the falcons game, my husband, 2 friends and myself. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that you can build your own custom burger, which we all did. Mine tasted fantastic but it was slightly over cooked and they forgot my caramel used onions. Other than that no real complaints. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I'll definitely be back and tell others that it was pretty good. (Mint chocolate hard shake was really good)

The atmosphere and menu looked amazing. The food was not. The burger I ordered was simple and cooked properly, it just didn't taste overly special. I'd go elsewhere. Friend's son did this eating contest with burgers and fries and all this food and loved it, maybe I was just the odd one of the ground.

Wow, I'm surprised at the bad review this place got! I was extremely impressed! If you are a burger lover and love 80's music, Luxe's is the place for you! I went to Luxe's with a friend's family after a day at Six Flags. We were expecting a Johnny Rockets type place, but were pleasantly surprised at the upscale look of the place. The staff was friendly and attentive and we were seated right away. A waitress came over quickly to take our drink and appetizer order. She came back about every ten minutes to ask if we needed everything and check up on how we were doing. It took a little while for the main dishes to come out, but we had a party of five and showed up at about ten at night, so it was understandable. We started with nachos were, in my opinion, the best nachos I've had in my life. Everything tasted fresh and homemade and the flavors blended very well together. They were so good that we ate all of them and took home the rest of the toppings to eat with our own chips! For the main course, my friend and I both built-a-burger, two people got a salad, and the final person ordered mac and cheese with broccoli and chicken. Both my friend and my burgers were exactly as we ordered them when they came and her cheddar tater tots were delicious. My fries weren't anything to rave out, they were actually kind of bland, but the awesome burger made up for it. Definitely in my "top ten" for burgers. Just perfect. The salads were very big and very fresh with mouth watering dressings. I usually don't like Caesar salad, but when I took a bite of that one I immediately went back for another. I'm certain that they made the dressing there, I've never tasted anything like it. As for the mac and cheese, well, that was demolished in record time. We were all full, but the shakes on the dessert menu looked so good that we had to try them. We were disappointed by the Toasted Marshmallow, which just tasted like a vanilla shake (but a good vanilla shake) and the cookies and cream was just that, a cookie and cream shake, nothing to bring home about. But I ordered the Salted Pretzel shake and mmmmm, it was delicious. Salty and sweet and all out yumminess. The snicker's pie, which were ordered to share, was very peanut buttery and, not being huge peanut butter fans, we ended up leaving a slice of peanut butter filling on the place as we ate around it to get equal bites of the topping/bottom and peanut butter! All in all, I would definitely go to Luxe's again. It's more of a special occasion-type place, not somewhere you go to every Friday. The menu isn't super diverse if you're a picky eater, but we all had trouble deciding what to get since it all looked so good. The desserts could have been better, but they were acceptable. Don't expect a wide dessert range, there are just a few choices and about 10 shake options (half of which are hard). Luxe's definitely earned five stars. Yum!

Food is mediocre, a higher end burger joint. Like it way better than Plan B. Make your own burgers is a great idea and fruit loop vodka milk shake is a must try!!! Nice environment. Service ok. Just can't grasp spending $15 on a burger even if you do make your own!

So this place has gotten some bad reviews, and I am not sure if it was the initial growing pains of the restaurant, but I didn't see it. I brought a group of 3 people there last night. We ate outside on the patio and but also got a good glimpse of the indoor atmosphere. Inside is nice, pretty modern looking with a good sized bar and a nice airy atmosphere. Music is pretty much alternative which seemed like a good fit for the place. We started by getting the Cadillac Nachos for the table. Chips were crispy with delicious cheese, salsa, hamburger, and jalepenos. I had the Ultimate Bacon Burger, and it was AMAZING. I saw the Bacon Jam and I was a little skeptical, but I must say it was delicious. Everyone's burger was cooked EXACTLY to their rareness request, which is something I read was a problem here (looks like they worked that out). I had it with the sweet potato fries which were good as well. We finished the night with some milkshakes, I had the chocolate pretzel shake for desert, and my buddy had the oreo one. The misses had just the chocolate one with the creme brule. All amazing! All in all, it was a great night with great food. This place needs more support and less hatred from Plan B die hard fans.

Went there for a friends birthday with a party of 9.... They took reservations which is nice. Everyone in the party did the build your own burger concept and used the pads to write down our own orders and gave them to our waitress (who was really nice). 7 out of 9 burgers were wrong... Not just missing one thing, I didn't get Carmelized onions, bacon, cheese or chipotle aoli which I had ordered. We sent back our burgers and when they came back they were still missing a couple ingredients :/ staff was accommodating but really; you're a burger bar and we wrote down our orders on paper!! How can you mess if up?! They did give us 20% off our bill... Might go back...if plan b is closed!

Simply put this place has great burgers, a great staff and a decent beer offering. Being somewhat picky I really liked the build-it-yourself style of the menu. If youre a fan of max buger or plan b try this place for sure, you wont be dissapointed. Oh and try the frickles, they are excellent.

I think this place is great! I have only been once so far but will definitely be back. Build your own burger is nice, the food is delicious and they have an above average selection of drinks (didn't try any since it was noon). Their fried pickles are some of the best we've had. The pop art decor is a nice touch.

Turned up looked very modern but yelp had said kid friendly and casual dress, we had 3 kids, and in very casual gear as on a road trip, walked in and everyone else was dressed similar they loved the kids and had a party of 7 seated in the fastest time I've ever seen. But there was also a trendy crowd of 25-35ish. Excellent find, great price, great food super service

I've reluctantly given this place two tries because my husband loves goat cheese on his burgers and this seems to be the only place around to get it. We live five minutes away so usually get take out due to babies at home. The first time, I got a pretty simple bacon cheeseburger with the works and some chipotle aioli on it. I requested it medium and it came WELL well well done. The side of fries they give you is tiny and the fries themselves are soggy. The next time (tonight), I got the buffalo shrimp appetizer and a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, provolone, lettuce/tomato/onion and garlic aioli. Holy crap. This thing was gross. Half the bun was burnt to black. The chicken was dry, hard, and overcooked beyond belief. They forgot the garlic aioli so there was no moisture or flavor to help this sandwich out. My side of sweet potato fries was again tiny and soggy. My husband's burger was "just okay" and his fries were pathetic as well. I ended up just eating the buffalo shrimp, which were fine but obviously just frozen shrimp tossed in some Frank's. Unfortunately I'm not giving Luxe another chance. Maybe things would be different if we ate in the restaurant, but the quality of the take out food is just SO bad that I can't imagine it would be much better. It just seems that they don't take pride at all in the food they're putting out. We'll be going down the street to Plan B from now on (and I'll keep some goat cheese in the fridge for my husband).

Very under impressed with the overall feel of the place. Staff was not trained with beer selection or to answer basic menu questions. The greeting from the front of house when we arrived was also lacking any sort of spunk as well. I had the Bison burger and my friend had the Veggie Burger both were ok? Fries where not hot warm at best. The high Piont of the whole meal was dessert, we had the cookies baked in an individual pan with Icecream was great. Cool interior design that they could have really done so much more to make a great hangout? Managers seem clueless running around instead of managing. One more weird thing, no music in the background. Such a cool place should have cool music would make sense! Won't be back anytime soon!! Plan B has them hands down for value!!

So glad I came here for the grand opening! The atmosphere is awesome, decor is funky and chic, waitress was attentive and nice and food was delicious! Had mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. Of the four pieces, one was undercooked. Although one was cold, the rest tasted phenomenal. Gooey, cheesy, crisp and the marinara sauce is very flavorful. The Manager was kind enough to comp it. Didn't expect it but appreciated the good customer service. As for main course, I had the Wagyu burger on wheat with garlic aioli and pepper jack cheese. It was cooked the way I wanted (medium) and very juicy. Fries were hot and crisp. My boyfriend got the Wagyu burger on wheat with bacon, pepper jack and chipotle. ketchup. Cooked exactly the way he wanted and delicious. As for drinks, I got a Hurricane and Silly Rabbit. Strong and tasty. I would go back just for drinks they are that good. My boyfriend got Sam Adams Winter and an Almond Joy milkshake. He definitely wants to try the bacon milkshake next time we go back. Night ended with a Kitchen Sink Cookie. Warm, gooey and certain bites were crunchy because of the pretzel. Pretty good considering it had potato chips in it. We would definitely get it again. Overall, I would say a great experience. I love Luxe in Providence so I hope this place succeeds just the same. Plan B has some serious competition as I guessed! Kudos Luxe! :)

Addition Review: I gave Luxe another shot after my initial bad experiences. It had been quite a while so I thought that perhaps things may have changed. Our experience started by being given two very dirty glasses that had clearly not been washed. We were not given a drink menu. The traskmaster burger was bland, and tasted a bit like a whopper. This was surprising considering the fried jalepeno peppers and bacon. My companion had the tuna steak burger, which was bland and dry but still managed to have a soaking wet bun. I ordered the cheddar tater tots as a side. I was charged extra for this, which I normally would be fine with but I was served exactly 8 tater tots. They were also served so boiling hot on the inside that I couldn't eat them until my meal was over, and they were tasteless with a weird and unpleasant aftertaste. There was live music outside, a woman singing and playing guitar. This would have been lovely but they had her miked and the volume was turned up so loud that I couldn't have a conversation with my dinner companion. Just go a block down to Plan B Burger if you are in the mood for this type of food. Original Review: Service was good, food falls short. High prices should equal high quality. Parking is a nightmare, there are dead ends where everyone has to cooperate to drive backwards to get out. We were told upon entering by staff that someone got hit last night in the parking lot. So good luck getting in. There is an entryway, so there are two doorways to get in. Staff opens the second door for you. While this may seem nice, the point of 2 doorways/entryway is to keep the cold air out. It was about 5 degrees outside. Staff would ensure that both doorways were open allowing frigid air to poor in, ensuring that we were cold much of the time. Server was great. Started with eggplant fries: I have had eggplant fries before and they are fantastic when prepared properly. Eggplant fries should be juicy, the eggplant should be clearly present and tasted. These were essentially big piles of breading. I would guess they are frozen. At $7 one would expect properly prepared and fresh. Ultimate Bacon Burger: Burger was cooked to my specifications. Wagyu beef did not have much flavor though, and couldn't taste the horseradish, not much BBQ flavor either. Tempura frying bacon didn't seem to add anything. With the excessive amounts of toppings/condiments on this burger I was surprised at the lack of flavor. Tossed Cobb: As an entree. Chicken was precooked and refrigerated. Cold chicken on a cobb salad can work, but even cold chicken should not be dry. My party stopped eating about halfway through due to the improper cooking of the chicken (very dry). Perhaps a minor point, but cobb salads traditionally have avocado. It did come with an avocado ranch sauce though. We should have sent the improperly cooked chicken back, but did not. Desert: Grand Marnier Creme Brulee: I have never, ever, sent a desert back before. But there is a first time for everything, and after the poor food quality of our meal we just couldn't take it anymore. The creme brulee was not caramelized, I think that perhaps there was no sugar on top. Creme brulee should have a hard brownish layer, hard enough that it needs to be broken with a spoon. This was completely soft, but somehow managed to have black burned spots in the middle. Sent it back. At the end we were left with an insult. The creme brulee was taken off, but it said "disliked" on the bill. I like creme brulee quite a bit; IT WAS NOT PREPARED PROPERLY. Just like the chicken was not prepared properly, and the eggplant fries were not prepared properly. The establishment seems to be unwilling to admit that food is not being prepared properly, and instead is blaming customers for disliking their food.

Went here with 3 other friends a few days after they opened; we won't be back. While the decor is modern/chic, that's about the only nice thing I have to say about this place. It was FREEZING (56-60 degrees) inside the restaurant and the staff could be seen blowing on their hands to try to stay warm. It has a large, open ceiling in the middle of the restaurant up to the roof where all the heat goes to hang out. They'll need to install a fan or figure out another way to heat this place. Waiter was nice enough and service was good. I liked the water on table deal. Fried pickles as a pre-lunch app. were tasty (albeit somewhat stingy for $6). Made my own burger with Hereford beef; asked for 'medium', but instead got medium-well; very overcooked, no pink whatsoever. Not much flavor on the beef at all; bun tasted stale. Fries were better than Plan B but greasier. We all left feeling very underwhelmed; if I'm dropping $12 for a burger, it won't be here again. Stick with Local Burger or any large chain; the burgers are better there.

Tried Luxe on a Sunday afternoon. Outside patio area had several dinners and a few inside. Had the onion rings as an appetizer, they were good- heavy batter was on the spicy side served with a mustard sauce. Liked the build your own burger concept, we all tried the byob. The burgers came as ordered, with the exception they were all over cooked. Despite being over cooked meat was flavorful. Medium rare was more on the med. side, very little to no pink and the medium was well done, no pink at all.The waitstaff and hostess very very nice. Will give it another try.

Yea, this place sucks. Went in on a Monday night, not busy at all, maybe 10 people in the restaurant and sat at the bar. Waited 25 minutes for a medium Bison burger that came out medium rare (so I'm not sure why the wait was so long) and had no flavor to it whatsoever. I get that you can "make your own burger", but shouldn't the meat still have SOME flavor or seasoning? The male bartender spent most of his time flirting with some patrons that he obviously knew while offering them free shots and giving back massages to another waitress. In addition, the place smells stale (like an old Friendly's) and the carpets are squishy as if someone spilled something on the carpet....throughout the entire restaurant. It's really too bad, this restaurant has potential but crappy service, staff and bland food has made it so that I will not return. Geesh, even Red Robin does it better!!

The wait time wasn't bad (15-20 mins) for around 7:30 on a Saturday for 2... We had BYOB... Bison,(MW), Bacon Horseradish, Cole slaw, Dill, Pulled Pork, w/ BBQ sauce on the side and Chipotle Aioli... You get what you pay for so you can't complain about the price! Anyone saying it's high price is cheap! Maybe you should stick eating at McDonalds or Burger King that's where you belong..... The staff was great also!

We had a late lunch today and decided to build our own burger. Burger came out just as I ordered and cooked correctly. Our server was very nice. I love the tempura bacon. It adds a totally different texture. Overall the atmosphere was pleasant and loved the range of music. We will definitely be back!

I was very excited to try the new Luxe Burger that came to the area and thus I had high expectations. There were three of us that called in and placed an order to go. I had the M.O.A.B. (Mother of All Burgers) despite being cooked to a uniform grey (they didn't do medium), the burger was tasty! It has, black pastrami, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, jalapenos, American & cheddar cheeses, pickles, lettuce, tomato with a chipotle mayo on it. The others enjoyed their sandwiches as well. My wife ordered a Crunchie Munchie chicken breast sandwich and my daughter had a custom made burger with Mac n Cheese on it. As for the fries, the Hand Cut Fries were a big letdown for all of us. They were tasteless, limp, greasy and overcooked. We also tried the Cole slaw, it wasn't bad, but it really wasn't great either.

Having been to Max Burger and Plan B, I figured that it was only appropriate that I visit the latest burger joint in Springfield. I've been twice, and I can say the same thing about both visits; excellent service, mediocre food. I had a vegetarian burger the first time that I went, and it was okay. Lacking in flavor a bit, but not horrible. The next time that I went my friend and I both ordered the Mac and Cheese with mushrooms and bacon. It was sub par, and the worst part was that while mine was really creamy, my friends was dry. Same exact dish, but two completely different appearances. I must say, their drinks are delicious. I had their sangria and a hard shake and they were both fantastic. Because of the food, I would have only given this 2 stars if the service had not been so good. Both times I went I had a male waiter, and they went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied customers. They even joked around with my friends and I and really made the experience much more enjoyable. Overall, I would go back, but probably only for their drinks or some fried pickles.

I wanted to love this place and tried it twice. First, where are the new owners? They obviously are hands off and do not care about their overall ratings. Word of mouth is powerful. Wake up people! The overall walk in greeting is insincere n not warm. The Kale Salad tasted like a bottle to salt was poured into it. The burgers we're good. The atmosphere so-so, no music. The frys were good, but small portion. They screwed up our order n forgot a side. That day the place was empty. No excuses. The level of service n quality of food is better at Max's Burger in Longmeadow. That's where we will go in the future n get their Kobe burger.

Came here since new restaurant in area and waited some time after opening to try and hopefully they worked out all the issues that go along with that. Seems like the reviews on here have been pretty harsh so went with an open mind. Went in around 6 and to our surprise really no crowd in either the bar or restaurant area. First, parking is a pain and location not ideal with traffic patterns. Girls that welcomed us really didn't have any energy or excitement in having to show us to our seats. Server on other hand was fantastic and had a great personality. Started with Buffalo Chips... Great choice with nice spices and good portion for the price. For burger I had the Turkmaster and wife had mother of all burgers. First for a burger bar you need to have handmade ground burgers, it should be part of the experience and with premium price =expected. Meat was cooked to right temperature and toppings were great. Wife really loved spice of jalapeños and pastromi tasted well atop burger. She had the onion rings... Great taste but small portion of only 4. I had regular fries which lacked taste and even adding ketchup (which rarely do) did not sit well. OK establishment but in tough restaurant market need to truly create unique experience... Did not have that 'I need to come back here' feeling after leaving.

Not sure whether to give 3 or 4 stars but our waitress named sarah bumped our grade up a bit. My wife and I enjoyed our lunchtime experience. we starting out sharing the buffalo chips with blue cheese dressing. nice hot, looks like home made chips with delicious blue cheese. yummy start! Wife opted for the bison burger and enjoyed it a lot. I pigged out a bit with the BBQ bison burger. very big and very flavorful. bison, pulled pork, cheese, onion rings...quite tasty. Fries were OK as was the cole slaw. Wife enjoyed her Unsweetened iced tea. As I said..our server was very good. dying to please. two "negatives"....music is way too loud. music selection runs from john Denver, bob Dylan to some unrecognizable jazz stuff. also..its too expensive. I know they need to make a profit but with tip this was a $40 lunch! its an attractive place in a retro sort of way. i'll go back again to try some of the enticing sounding cocktails.

I love to see the old buildings in Springfield repurposed; this was the old visitor's center! The wait staff seemed very young, but friendly still. And yes, they do play music now. The burgers were good, all the ingredients seemed fresh, the coleslaw was a bit bland but the regular fries and sweet potato fries alike were delicious. The menu options and BYOB (build your own burger) ensure that everyone in your party will be able to eat, there are vegan-friendly and even gluten free options. Luxe also has a great beer selection and an expansive offering of mixed drinks as well, and you certainly get your money's worth for an $8 cocktail. I would certainly go back again!

Good food. Service was slow. Had to get up 3 times to find my waitress. Never asked how things were or if is like another drink. Not a have a nice day nothing. Waited forever for her to take my order. When I finally did receive my burger it was at least warm and tasty!

My husband I talked about trying this place out so when a Groupon came available we ventured in. We were pleasantly surprised to find the interior much more inviting than expected. There is a big bar with comfy bar chairs and lots of natural light pouring in do too two stories of windows. The bartender was chatty, pleasant and very informative. The menu extensive with a wide variety of choices. The "build your own burger" option very nice allowing one to customize. There are a couple of high end beef choices, chicken breast, turkey burger, and Ahi tuna to name a few. I love fried pickles so ordered those for a appetizer to start. Over battered and fried in old oil they were not very good. I went with the January "burger special" a black bean/quinoa burger opting for a bed of greens rather then a roll. The burger was crispy on the outside, undercooked in the middle and the cheese was a slice of processed american cheese slapped on top. My husband decided on building his own burger starting with the high end Wagyou beef burger, cooked rare on a sesame bun with chipotle ketchup. A side order of deep fried cheese tator tots covered in chili and covered with, what looked like, Velveeta cheese. Again the frying oil was not fresh and the tator tots overcooked and greasy. He said the burger was excellent however. He is willing to go back so I will probably give it another go. The next time we do go I will probably just stick to building my own and choose the beef.

pretty awesome bar, tons of natural sunlight and as good as a view you will get of the springfield skyline (for what thats worth). Its a great place to watch a game or have a few beers, they even had fernet branca. the burger was pretty great and a ton of options on how i wanted. Parking was a bit of a pain but wasn't too bad.

I had the ahi tuna burger with side salad. The tuna was perfectly seared (completely pink int he middle), and good enough quality and taste that I wasn't concerned about the fact that it is mostly raw. Got side salad instead of fries which was fresh and large. The dressing and burger sauces stood out to me - the wasabi cucmber mayo was awesome (and unique!), as was the avocado ranch. Loved it. Best quality fish burger I have ever had in Western Mass. Update: Went back, had the same burger and it wasn't as good. I think they forgot to season it. Disappointing. Downgrading my review.

Twice visited, last time three came home with food poisoning.... Not sure what's going on here, but all the comp from the manager( first visit) will not cover three 19 year old eating machines getting Ill from appetizer. It kinda reflects that most people they get to hire in the Springfield market are unemployable... ... It's not a great town to try and make headway with screwy staff... Not everyone was a rock head, but you could tell they had to reach in to the bottom of the barrel for some . And that was in the front end, god knows what could be going on in back... Feel sorry for them to make a huge investment and have these results

We tried plan b a few weeks ago and had every intention of going back tonight. However, my brother in law suggested we try Luxe. He liked it so much better he said. So we went around 7. No wait and lots of tables open. Lucky for us we were greeted by a couple of girls who looked miserable and acted as if they were doing us such a huge favor for acknowledging our existence. We were seated and within a minute our awesome waiter arrived. We ordered nachos, recommended by our waiter who also suggested we not order the calamari because it's not good and we'd most likely end up sending it back. I love when that happens. Waiters who are honest are the best! So I decided to order the Traskmaster and the fiance did a BYOB of Hereford, American, onions and horseradish mayo. Food came out quickly. Nachos were ok. Jalapenos were missing even though they're listed on the menu. The housemade salsa they put on tasted weird. I wanted to like it but something in it really turned me off. The beef also tasted burnt. Weird. Burgers arrived quickly as well. I had fries with mine, he had potato salad. Fries were good just not sure why there were so few of them. The cheese on my burger wasn't melted. Really? That means it was sitting off the grill for awhile before someone slapped it on there. Sigh. The fried jalapenos and pickles were good but again, would've been nice to have more than 2 of each. Horseradish sauce was pretty good. Burger itself was just ok. It didn't look handmade, too uniform. But it was cooked properly medium rare. I tried his potato salad and it was blah. Bland, tasteless and full of mayo. No thank you. I think I'll stick to Plan B from now on. Better food will always win regardless of how awesome service is (and it was pretty awesome here). Also the parking lot here is absolutely atrocious.

Awesome place, cool design, great food and a great bartender (Griff)). If you like burgers this place has it all , including build your own or choose from the menu. I built my own. Excellent beef, great roll! Try the buffalo chips, a very nice appy. Lots of great beers to choose from. A very cool building, you might thing you,re in NY or Miami. Nothing like this in Springfield

I tried this place out yesterday and have to say that I was mostly pleased with the food. I like how you can build your own burger by checking off the items you want in a booklet at your table. The burger was delicious and cooked just right. The ahi tuna appetizer was delicious and so were the buffalo wings. Unfortunately though, their fries aren't that great. I much prefer plan b`s parmesan fries, yum! The service was excellent and I enjoyed their drink selection but did not like that they didn't offer beer flights/samplers like plan b does. the place felt a little cramped for me and way too hot having the hot air vents right below our table. Another thing I didn't like is the parking. It's super narrow and there are not many spots. The place wasn't that crowded when I went yet the parking lot was making it difficult to find a spot since you have to exit the lot and drive around the corner to get back in. Overall my experience was good but I prefer plan b.

We went to Luxe last night for the first time on a Groupon and probably won't go back. No parking spots available so we had to walk in the frigid night air from the Hall of Fame lot, and had a 20+ wait before we were seated. From there it only got worse. The waitress did an amazing job of advising us they were having problems in the kitchen and were very backed up. That was a huge understatement. We ordered an appetizer (spinich/artichoke dip) which we waited almost 30+ minutes for, it was pretty average but our waitress did take it off the check due to the wait. My husband and I did the "build your own" burger and our two sons ordered burgers off the menu. We got our burgers almost two hours after walking in. The food was at best so/so with our potato and sweet potato fries being not edible as they were cold and soggy. Overall the waitress worked hard with her customers and the kitchen staff to make things go as fast as she could, but it was obvisouly out of her control and overall a dining experience so bad we wouldn't even attempt it there again. If you try Luxe, make sure you don't have high expectations.

Whoever says Plan B is superior to Luxe Burger doesn't know a good burger. The atmosphere, staff decor and most importantly, the quality food is amazing! I've had the Wagyu burger rare along with the tuna burger rare and I've never experienced fresher or higher quality meet. Hats off to Ryan and his service.....Luxe Burger is where it's at, cheers!

Wagyu burger overcooked with cheese not even melted on it, not worth $11.99. Fries are limp, greasy and unappetizing. Waiter was nice though. Don't think I'll be back for the food. Maybe for drinks at the bar.

Went with a friend to try out Luxe Burger Bar recently. We both love Plan B so figured we'd check out the competition down the street. The verdict? Plan B: 1 Luxe Burger 0. There were some positives -- the restaurant itself is comfortable with an inviting decor. And our server was extremely friendly and helpful. We also had a few drinks -- including one of the spiked milkshakes. We loved this idea and thought it was delicious. Now the negatives -- we were not impressed with the food. We started out sharing the pretzel crusted chicken tenders with honey mustard on the side. The honey mustard was good -- but the dipping sauce really shouldn't be the highlight of the dish. The tenders themselves were extremely dry and overcooked. I'm not sure if the pretzel coating is what did them in but they were just too dry to eat and enjoy. Next we split a BYOB. We opted for a turkey burger with baby lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, swiss cheese and garlic aioli on a wheat bun. This was another misstep. The turkey burger was thin, flavorless and almost rubbery. The cheese was cold (not melted onto the burger). The other toppings were fine, but again - it really shouldn't be the toppings on the burger that are the highlight. We happen to love the turkey burger at Plan B so it's a problem when there is a far superior option just down the road. We got the burger with the cheddar tots side -- these resemble a friend mac and cheese. They were good, but we wouldn't come back just for them. On a side note -- a table near us was embarking on an eating challenge that the restaurant offers. They ordered two enormous double burgers that appeared to have hotdogs on them along with a huge order of fries. It was a crazy amount of food and the competitors looked almost sick trying to finish the challenge. It didn't look like much fun -- wont' be back to try that either! Overall, not a terrible place but I wish them luck competing with Plan B down the street.

Concept is great, execution is poor, 4 in our party, 3 paid extra for Wygu, med rare or medium, all got over well done. - waste of good meat.

I just had another great burger, and I can't understand where some of these bad reviews are coming from, has to be from somebody that just wants to write a bad review, or they work at plan (b) because I've been at lux three times now and its been great, if you don't try you'll never no for yourself.

I would have to say I was quite impressed with Luxe Burger Bar! I really did not know what to expect. I have been to all of the burger bar competition in the area and I would probably rank this as #1. First the atmosphere- its hard to judge from the outside, once you get inside it is warm and the really cool industrial design with high open ceiling surrounds you. The service was great. Our waitress gave me and my family plenty of time to ask questions as we checked off the selections for building your own masterpiece burger, service was great. The food came out hot, and everyone really enjoyed their meal. My son had a grilled cheese burger which was a burger in between two grilled cheese sandwiches. I had the Traskmaster listed on the menu as the 2013 burger winner in some competition. We all had a great time and I am sure we will be back again!

Underwhelming to say the least. As a group we tried multiple apps, different drinks, a steak salad, some shakes and 5 different burgers. To be fair they are brand new, working out the kinks and figuring out the staff. That being said here is a small run down. Fried calamari was ok. The onion ring app was the best part of the meal. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls weren't too bad. Nachos were revolting (sent them back)! Steak salad was poor and also sent back. Not one burger out of the five was cooked at the right temp. Definitely NOT 8oz burgers. Presentation was ehh at best. The shakes were yummy. We did not partake in any desserts. Drink selection and beer selection are sub par compared to other local competitors. All in all prob will not return any time soon. Sad to say since its fun to have more places to frequent. Plan B and Max burger are levels above.

A friend and I went to Luxe Burger on a Sunday afternoon around 3:00 - 3:30. We were seated right away because the dining room was almost empty at that hour. Our server was not very friendly, but it was not a problem with us. The problem was the food. I think the presentation and preparation are areas they should be concerned with. Although I feel the beef used in our burger was high quality, they were overcooked and very dry. The toppings were weak, small amount of lettuce, only one slice of tomato and the sauce which we ordered on the side never arrived. We tried the onion rings. Only four rings in a serving and the batter had a taste of mustard seed or other spice which we did not like. The cheddar potato tots were very good. The nachos we split had a type of salsa on them which was not very good. It seemed to have a large amount of garlic in it. The ground beef was very dry and overcooked with more seasoning that I could not recognize. The guacamole that we ordered never made it onto the plate. We attempted to mention some of these things to our server, but he was not to be found and my friend didn't want to complain. I think a shift change was happening between the lunch servers and dinner servers. We were given our bill by a young woman who we had never seen before and upon leaving we found no one at the hostess station to mention anything to. We left deciding that this would be our last visit to Luxe Burger because we two or three other gourmet burger restaurants in the area which we could visit. Best advice to Luxe would be to review kitchen / cooking staff and reenforce proper cooking methods. Stress portion control, but think about increasing burger topping amounts. Final advice would be to have floor managers pay more attention during shift changes.

What were they thinking. Our bartender, Ashley , had no clue on what she was doing. It took ten minutes to get our drinks. We got the Springfield teas. They ripped this off from Plan B. Iced tea vodka and lemonade. Plan Bs John Daily uses fresh squeeze lemonade. Nice try but not even close. We ordered the egg plant app and the bartender didn't know it was an appetizer. My burger was awful. It definitely is not fresh. Manager was clueless. So to wrap it up. Service bad, food bad, decor good, seating bad, and PARKING HORRIBLE. Go to Plan B Burger if you want a great experience.

Okay, so we almost didn't go there as some of the reviews were so poor. However, once a friend of mine who works in one of the restaurants in the Basketball Hall of Fame admitted that employees from other restaurants often visit the other restaurants and negatively review the competition, I decided to give it a go. We were for sure not disappointed. The decor is chic and on the money for a upscale hamburger joint. Our waitress, Idalia, was absolutely awesome. She is sweet, attentive, and very professional. I was very excited to try the Umami burger as I'm a tuna freak. It did not disappoint, although I very specifically asked for rare and received medium rare to medium. Idalia totally apologized and said she would inform the kitchen of the error. I really didn't want to send it back as it was still really delicious. It could have used more Asian slaw and I got a side of the Wasabi Mayo to juice it up a bit, but I was soooooo happy with my choice. The sweet potato fries are also awesome. Crispy and perfectly salty. My friend had a hamburger and, miracle of miracles, they will actually cook it to desired doneness rather than well done like most places in the neighborhood. The hand-cut fries are delicious as are the milkshakes. Building the burger ourselves makes for an amazingly personal and fabulously tasty burger. We spent the entire lunch discussing what options we want on our burgers the next time we go. Oh, and they actually have a good non-alcoholic beer, which is so rare. We didn't get the chance to try the desserts, but we will go back soon and try some of the other items we are looking forward to sampling. Overall, this is a real winner of a restaurant and an excellent addition to Springfield. So glad they opened in our city.

I'm giving Luxe 1 star because of the lack of service. We waited over 20 minutes before we had a server show up and we had to ask the hostess if we were going to get one. Once the server arrived, she was indifferent and unapologetic. She also had no idea what Wagyu beef was. We also were not approached by a manager after making it obvious that we were not being served in a timely manner. If you want a good burger with great service, go to Plan B.

This was an awkward experience. It just opened in Springfield and I visited for lunch. the place was practically empty, but definitely overstaffed. Wait staff were standing around, kinda staring while me and my friends ate. Regarding the food, it was pretty decent. Good beer menu with good prices, but the burger prices are a bit steep. I think this place is still working out the kinks, but I'll definitely be back once they're a little more settled.

WHY LUXE BURGER SUCKS SNAPSHOT (in case you do not want to read my length review below.): Food Sucks, Service Sucks, and they cheat on wine pours. So where do I begin? To start, we were faced with a wait as our table freed up and was prepared - not really a big deal. Out of the four hostesses manning the front gates, not one suggested we head to the bar while we waited, would not offer a estimated time until the table was ready, and just seemed to be in an overall confused state. Nonetheless, we headed over to the bar for a drink while we waited for our seats. My girlfriend ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I a beer. I was shocked when the bar tender brought over the glass of wine, it looked as though it was half a pour. I politely inquired as to the portion that was poured and was assured that it was a full glass. There is no doubt in my mind that the glass was not even close to a full pour; proof was provided was evidenced later in the meal.... I will touch on that later. A little miffed that Luxe apparently skims a little extra profit by pouring small glasses of wine, we made our way to our seats. The server approached our table and proved to be a mediocre waitress at best. Her knowledge relative to the menu was sub par, she could not intelligently differentiate between the different doneness of meats offered on the menu, and was un attentive throughout the entire experience. Considering the recent launch of the restaurant the preceding issues with the service were forgivable but certainly should be noted. Food: I built my own burger: bison medium rare., swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions (you can only pick three standard toppings without a charge??), the extra toppings (for a fee) I chose were bacon, an egg, and onion rings. I chose garlic aioli for my sauce and sweet potato fries for my side. Despite asking for medium rare, the burger was cooked medium (light pink center with grey), appeared to be a pre formed patty (clearly this was not meat that was hand formed... most likely frozen patties purchased from wholesaler), the yolk of my egg was overcooked to the point where it was dry and solid, and the garlic aioli had zero flavor. All in all, the burger was overcooked, flavorless, and, despite the interesting toppings I chose, was just plain "blah." The sweet potato fries that came as a side were not crispy; in fact, they were quite soggy. There are a few other burger bars in the area (Springfield, Longmeadow, Northampton) that make a MUCH better product. Simply put, Luxe burgers suck. Back to the wine - thinking my concerns about the meager pour before our dinner would hold a bearing with out waitress, I decided to order a glass of wine for my girlfriend and I each. I explained to the waitress that we felt the pour was far smaller than it should had been and we wanted to make sure we were served the proper amount this time around. The waitress response was something along the lines of "Yeah, I just had another group make that comment to me. They are full pours, our bartenders pour them in a carafe before pouring them into the wine glass to be sure that they are the correct amount; the bartenders and waitresses usually bring the carafes over so you can see that it's the proper amount of wine." I've seen this done many times before and was agreeable to the Luxe Burger system. I said "Ok" and availed myself to the possibility our bartender fee-poured and mis measured. Some time later the waitress returned with two carafes. The issue became clear as to why my girlfriends first glass of wine, and the two we just ordered, seemed to small. The carafes were filled about 66% of the way up... not even to the neck line of the carafe where the vestibule narrows before opening up again to the mouth!! I objected to the waitress and she argued with me saying "well, that is as much as Luxe Burger fills their carafes" Luxe Burger pours 2/3 glasses of wine - plain and simple. If you don't believe me order a glass and you will see. Luxe Burger lost on all fronts. The food was mediocre at best. They cheat their customers on wine pours in (what i assume) is an effort to maximize profits at the bar, the service sucks. Don't waste your money here. Go elsewhere and enjoy your experience. Luxe Burger will be out of business in 1.5 years tops unless they change the above mentioned items. Disclosure: I do not have an affiliation or financial interest in any restaurant in the surrounding area.

Disappointing. Went there to try it out since it was something new. We have been to Plan B and Max Burger and based on those experiences would not be coming back to luxe burger bar. There are so many better options close by. The service was beyond slow and the ingredients were not extremely fresh - we told the manager who asked and all he said was, 'sorry we think we are better than Plan B.' Definitely not.

...i saw the sign for the new Luxe burger bar in downtown Springfield and wanted to try it...did my research here on Yelp*...and decided to go anyway!!! my son and i arrived and were greeted semi promptly at the front and asked where we wanted to sit...a booth i said so the host/manager(?) took us to a booth where i slid in and immediately noticed how small the booths were. now i know i need to lose a few pounds but my stomach was touching the table and it wasn't very comfortable so i asked to be moved to a table. a minute later a 40ish woman came over and said hello at which time i told her we were waiting for my wife to arrive, she said "OK" and left us with menus. about two minutes later she came back and asked if we still wanted to wait for my wife (why was she in such a hurry?) and i told her yes but ordered a couple of soft drinks...my wife arrived and we ordered off of the "build your own burger" menu...a burger for myself and my son and some chili for my wife. after a short time the food arrived and i winced as i cut through my burger (i was having flashbacks to some of the reviews posted here previously) but to my surprise my burger was medium as ordered... YEA!!! my son loved his burger but he loves everything. my wife's chili was tasty and a little spicy but lacked salt (as did the tri colored tortilla chips they brought her to accompany the chili) . my burger was tasty(but lacked salt) as well and the "bleu Monterrey" cheese was not melted and was also not very appetizing to look at. my hand cut fries had spent toooooo much time in the fryer. they were a DARK brown (looking almost burnt) and some were hotter than others and ALSO lacking salt. they apparently they have a SERIOUS seasoning issue here!!! after our meal our server cleared the table one person at a time instead of clearing everything in one trip and asked us if we wanted anything else. we asked for a desert menu and when she brought them we were informed that they were out of the bread pudding which sounded great (it's only early Monday evening and you're already out of a menu item???) so...we ordered the loaded chocolate chip cookie a la mode which was tasty but needed to be hotter. ...all in all it wasn't horrible but wasn't that great as well...i could get a better burger at Local Burger in Northampton. will i be back...maybe, but i wouldn't go out of my way to do so!

My family decided to come here for a birthday dinner. I was not that impressed. The service was okay. My burger was not that good. It was falling apart, not cooked well done as ordered, and the caramelized onions were really crunchy. My sister ordered the Mac & Cheese and that was pretty good. I ordered the Silly Rabbit and it tasted like flavored water...with little flavor. Gross. The cereal killer milkshake was great. I would go back for the shake, but definitely not the food.

Had dinner there with a friend on a Tuesday night. I like the atmosphere, the place is attractive. Service was very good, food came out a little too fast. the Burger was rather bland even though I picked my own toppings, the meat itself was flavorless. Very small portion of fries. The best thing about this place is the hard milkshakes. I had the Twinkies Carmel one..., I don't remember the actual name of it, but it was excellent. Not sure I would go back as it didn't thrill me.

The fact that they have been open for only a week or so is certainly not an excuse for the poor service and tasteless food we experienced at Luxe. I have been to plenty of restaurant grand openings and have been blown away on more than one occasion. To start, we were sat right away but were not greeted by a server until ten minutes later (which is frustrating considering there were about 12 guests in the entire place at the time), we then ordered drinks (Bacon Bloody Mary and vanilla milkshake) and an appetizer of eggplant fries. The clearly inexperienced server left only to return five minutes later to inform us that they were out of eggplant fries. This would be acceptable for a restaurant with a few years under their belt, but not for one that has been open for a week. The drinks took forever to reach or table and when they did, there was a hair in my vanilla milkshake! The spinach artichoke dip was bland and the tortilla chips with it were stale. Our burgers were ordered with temps of medium and medium well but ended up being well done and even more well done. I had ordered pulled pork on mine but did not realize it wasn't included until a staff member brought it out in a ramekin when I was already half way done. Her remark was "didn't you even notice it wasn't on there?!" I felt sorry for our server and all of the other employees for their obvious lack of training and hope that their futures at Luxe Burger brighten as soon as possible. Western Massachusetts, I strongly advise you stick to the greats in our area: Max Burger and Plan B go above and beyond in quality food and service.
