Went here for a quick lunch stop on the way home to NH. Got the 1/2 lb burger which was cooked medium. Tasted pretty good for a chain restaurant. They make their buns homemade so the entire restaurant smelled like fresh baked bread. We sat in the sunroom off to the side which had a big screen tv. Definitely a plus to find a nice quiet spot if you get there early enough! Boyfriend had the buffalo burger on a wheat roll, he thought it was pretty good but nothing compared to what we can get our hands on at home. In essence it was pretty much what we expected from the burger joint. Glad to see they had more options now which got it an extra star.

if I could give 0 or negative stars I would! So I hate to slam an establishment but after all of their smug promotion and being pushed so hard on the Phantom Gourmet I decided I would review. So the short version: I had a turkey burger here and got food poisoning. It was coming out of everywhere and was horror movie bad. I decided to call and let them know and their response... "Well you ordered a turkey burger!" Are you f*cking kidding me? Ordering a turkey burger means I should be cool with getting food poisoning? How about using good product, cooking things appropriately and if something happens taking responsibility. I only went here because I was with people that wanted to and wasn't driving. This place should be closed. Absolutely horrible

I've been to four locations of Fuddruckers and the food at all of them was excellent. The burgers are the best burgers I"ve had at any restaurant. You can't beat their burgers! Well worth it.

On New Years Day my friend and I were looking for a place to grab lunch, and this location happened to be open so we gave it a try. He had already been there before and went on about how great it was. I was sorely underwhelmed to say the least. We waited in line for what felt like an eternity, which gave me ample time to look around. In this 'looking' I saw an employee in the baked goods area to the left standing over a food prep area with gloves on eating and heckling with another employee. After putting food in her mouth she went back to prepping whatever she was making. Instant gross out factor. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of fries. The order didn't take very long to come up but I was a bit disappointed when I saw the sandwich/fries combo. I had a bit less than a handful of soggy fries, and the chicken piece didn't even fill up half of the bun it was on. There was a large piece of grizzle hanging off one side of it as well. If mediocre food, greasy tables, and a loud atmosphere is your thing, then by all means have at it.

I am not a fan of Fuddruckers on Route 1, but it's more convenient than the Jordan's location (which is cleaner but often crowded). The decor is tired and the tables are often greasy. That said, it's a good burger and the seasoned steak fries are a nice change of pace. I always forget how good their grilled chicken is. The toppings bar is what really makes it for me. Besides lettuce, tomato onion, I love jalapenos and banana peppers on my burgers. The over-sized fresh baked buns really let you load up on toppings. Yum! It was nice to only be out only $40 for a group of 5 (3 of us had water).

I've yet to find a better burger cooked to order than at fudds. The whole process is easy. Order at the counter and pay. Get a beeper to let you know when it's ready. Put your own toppings on and get your own drink of which there is a huge selection of both. They have beer and I think wine too. Kids love this place because of the decor, the tv's and the games. Also, seasoned fries are really good. They have a dessert area which I don't usually do, which includes cookies and ice cream Burgers are the best! That's why I keep going back.

I love this place but you have to know what you are getting into. You order at the counter, pick your seat, pickup your food, and top it yourself. Consistently good food, clean, and very kid friendly. Sports themed interior. The real winning aspect here is the choice of burgers. They offer elk, buffalo, and kobe. Personally, the buffalo is great and the thing to go for. For those who aren't as adventurous their beef burgers are also really good. I would highly recommend this place.

Phantom Gourmet hyped this place up waaaay too much for me. And while it's not terrible, it's not an unforgettable experience. It was surprisingly empty on a sunday afternoon when we came in. A couple of families and some hungover 20somethings. Given the mini-arcade in the back and a giant car-turned-booth, I can see why this is a hotspot for families and young kids. Our order was taken quickly-pleasant and no hassles. 1lb "The Works" burger (medium rare) with fries, 2 large drinks, mac n cheese, large onion rings, and 8 cookies. I saw the kobe burger and really wanted to try it but it's my first time here so manfriend suggested I go for their popular item first. We had $30 in certificates which our cashier politely reminded us that we'd have to use all of since she can't give us credit for leftovers. We spent the last four bucks on cookies (hence the 8 cookies). On any given sunday, I'd give this place 4 stars--they're simply a burger place that does giant burgers with friendly service. However, my burger came out medium, the tables were messy and really sticky, the sides were lackluster (mac n cheese was basically soup, onion rings weren't crispy or fully coated, and fries are bland). Though definitely props to them for keeping the condiments and toppings area stocked and immaculate. Oh! and the cookies were satisfying :)...though chocochip was a bit over done. All in all, I'd come back for the monstrous burger, but I'd never go out of my way.

Came here to eat after a car meet. Food was good. Service was okay. I wanted to sit at the car booth asked the cleaners to clear the table and they completely ignored us for a while. I thought that was rude. Date had to ask then again which was about the 4th time and they finally cleared it out. Not the best cleaning but whatever. I would just come back to take out.

Nice staff and good burgers. I recommend the bison burger (My favorite). Clean area where all of the condiments and toppings are located. They are in the middle of some construction so it was a little out of sorts. They have the new coke machines where you have so many options. Great fries and sweet potato fries.

Fudds is what it is...a burger bar. If you're looking for fine dining, a quiet atmosphere, no kids and a wide menu, don't come here. If you don't mind noise, kids running wild, and long lines, this is your place. First things first, their burgers are very good. Part of that is the actual taste of the burger, the other is that you can truly customize your burger. From the size (1/3-1 pound) to the toppings (there is a large produce stand to select from) you get to choose. Their fresh-baked buns are large and hefty so they hold all of the toppings well. Not to be overlooked are several other options. The chicken sandwich, either fried or grilled, stretches beyond the bun and you're offered the same unlimited toppings. The bison burger is a little more gamey, but juicy , delicious and better for you. I'm not a fan of the cookies, but the brownies and shakes are great. Their fries are seasoned, and you either like them or not. I don't. But the onion rings are good. Their chilli definitely needs some work, as it is really bland with no heat to speak of. Either make it what a chilli should be or take it off the menu. I have found that getting there between 2 and 4 gets you a quieter experience with fewer kids, and other folks in general. There is a small room up a small ramp behind the toppings bar, that also tends to be less hectic. This is a great place for a good burger...it is what it is.

Oh My... Well I took my family to Fuddruckers in Saugus and lets say I'm no rush to go back. -My Buffalo burger was pretty greasy for a medium-well buffalo burger. Hmmm... So much for that... -My 5 year old said the following about the mac & cheese "Daddy, that does not taste real" So I tried and said...Your right hun..It does not taste real don't eat that. I tasted liked someone melted a lego, kept it in liquid form and poured it over cheap pasta. Yuck!!! You know its bad when even your 5 year old does not like it. - Just trying to get to the condiments I was bumped into 4 times from various adults who was anxiously wanting either there globs of sugary ketchup or sitting in front of the soda fountain waiting in line like they were tweaked out on meth. I did not know Jerry Springer still had a show and was taping next door? The girl behind the counter was very nice and the parking situation is easy...BUT that's the best I can say about it.

Full house on a Saturday evening due to a kids soccer fundraiser, but worth the long drive from the south shore. We saved seats as soon as we stepped in. The burger came out perfectly medium and of course we made it a combo with the wedged fries. The Reese's milkshake came out first and was delicious. They always make extra and give you what didn't fit in the glass. The endless amounts of condiments and topping station made it easy to get what we needed for our burger. All in all, it was a great time with tasty foods. Friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

What a cute place! Lots of great stuff for kids. The food wasn't mindblowing, but it's pretty cool that they have buffalo burgers, those are hard to get around here. The car is super cool.

Yet another restaurant is in a very slow downwards spiral. Several years ago I would have awarded them 5 stars, but after all is done (not really said) I give it 4. First, the location geographically, being on Rt. 1 is both good for it, but terrible for me. The exit I must take to get on the right side of Rt. 1 is absolutely horrible! Then again, Rt.1 is kind of prime real estate for both all sorts of businesses, so I can't lay my gripes of Rt. 1 onto Fudds. As for the location in terms of the restaurant, it is very specious, clean, (as far as I've experienced) and has a good selection of places to sit down, as different areas of the restaurant have ever so slightly different scenery, and thus, a different feel. - I will say this, on several occasions my mother has been unhappy with the condition of the ladies room, especially in terms of there not being soap there. I have not been in there, so I don't know, but I have never had a problem with the men's room However, when she brought it to the staff, they took care of it promptly and courteously. Now, the FOOD! While the quality of the food has not gone down, there are a few things worth mentioning. First, the buns and portions of fries have gotten smaller progressively since I started patronizing this place. Bun are always fresh, and were always warm. There is a reason I am using present and past tense respectively. The buns are still fresh, but on my last visit they were no longer warm. Possibly a new trend, or possibly a freak occurrence... Anyways... The fries are steak fries, they are well cooked and well seasoned - they do not require anything added - although ketchup of cheese sauce does not hurt them. The patty itself is not the best piece of burger I have ever eaten, nor is it bad by any means. After sauces, toppings, and other garnishes the meat does what it is supposed to (I cannot explain this any further). As for the toppings themselves... if you want cheese, bacon, or any speciality things on top (namely those that are cooked) you have to pay extra. However, after all the toppings are put on, I feel they are hardly needed (aside from bacon, I mean come on its BACON) Speaking of toppings, just something to keep in mind -- if you like cheese on your burger, don't pay for it, just get the cheese sauce from the toppings bar. The toppings bar has a buffet style array of veggies to put on top. Nothing extravagant, but everything you might want to make your burger a classic. (ie lettuce, tomato, onion, chili peppers, etc.) And there are some classic sauces to put on top too. -- Try Worcestershire sauce, or 57 Sauce, they are both good, and there are many people who haven't had them before. Also, their chicken isn't that bad either! I haven't tried much more, so I can't really vouch for anything else just yet. In conclusion: They may not be "World's Greatest Hamburgers" But they are "up there" burgers.

As far as fast good goes this place is great, I remember eating at Five Guys and saying this would be great with a shake and chili fries, well Fuddruckers beat em to it and great service! Great environment old school arcade games like time crisis and car seated arcade games good for kids and good options for food. Would definitely eat there again, too bad none close to home .

I thought the southwest burger was amazingly delicious and putting my own topping on it was a huge bonus.

Good burgers, great buns. I enjoy the fact that you can put your own toppings on. However every time I eat here I feel like crap afterwards. I've talked to many people who feel the exact same way. So if you want a good burger with a stomach ache this is your place!

Fuddruckers is a decent place to get a decent burger. This one located on RT1 is pretty OK if you go during the week if you want a relatively quiet lunch. If you go on the weekends expect to share the large cavernous room with fleets of families. There are games ringing the dining area so that kids can be entertained. Whatever happened to sit down, shut up and eat? In addition to the games around the room there are several big screen TVs at the end of the room. They are all tuned to the local sports stations. the tables and chairs are pretty beaten up and one of the chairs was sticky when I went to sit down. Eww. The drill works as so: You walk up to the counter, order your burger, pay, then gather your burger when it's finished. Then you walk your fat rear end over to the toppings bar where you can slather that beef patty in any sort of sauce your little heart desires. Add to that you can smother it in cheese sauce, which is awesome on the fries. You can get healthy and add an assortment of tomatoes, lettuce, onion, pickles, jalapenos, or banana peppers to the top o' that burger. The roll is baked there and toasted with loads of butter. The ambiance sucks but the burgers are pretty good. They aren't as good as the grilled tastiness of Scotty Dog's but if you've got to stop somewhere on RT 1 this place will do the trick. They have recently added salads, a veggie burger and a grilled chicken sandwich to the menu, I assume to appease the poor people who get dragged in here by their loving families. Funny, I was surrounded by people my size, a few people who made me look fit and trim and not one person was eating a salad.

Inconsistent is an issue here...it's best not to order take out, you need to see how your product has been cooked. I'm more inclined to not return to the Saugus location.

Good burger at a convenient location and at a reasonable price. It is definitely a good place to go with a big group or a family because it's huge, has a lot of parking and never has a wait. You can get the kids involved in the gimmick of topping their own burger in the topping buffet line they offer. My favorite thing about it is you get to choose specifically what size burger you want (1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or 1 lb), instead of having to add additional patties. An option that I haven't seen anywhere else. I have been coming here since I was a kid and will continue to, mostly for the convenience. But at the end of the day, it's a good burger. Not a great one...

Fantastic place for a meal. Of course it really helps if burgers are what you are looking for. The decor is very much geared for sports. One cool design feature is the custom made old style car booth. The food is always made fresh to order and they have an amazing beverage system in the dining room area that allows for 30+ drink options. My meal was as hot and fresh as if I grilled it myself and the wedge style fries are excellent. I don't get a chance to visit often, but when I do - It's a treat for sure.

3 tries to get a medium rare burger without a roll or seasoning. Gray is what was settled for. Also distasteful is the "Red Sox / Yankees sign" about being a Yankees fan being on drugs in a kid oriented environment. I understand this is Boston but it is not the cuorrect image to give kids as it creates a negative image in the mind of a minor. Games were broken and lacking in variety. Tonight was a trainwreck!

Be sure to join the Fuddruckers e-mail club to receive a coupon for a free 1/3 pound burger during the month of your birthday. That coupon is what brought me to this location for lunch, and I was quite pleased. My husband and I both ordered combo meals with the 1/3 pound burgers with fries and a drink. All orders are cooked to your specifications. Then, you get to load up on toppings at the toppings bar.I added honey mustard sauce, lettuce and tomato to my burger. My husband added cheese and jalapenos to his fries, and ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce, and tomato to his burger. The soda fountain has a wide selection. I was able to get a peach green tea and my husband grabbed a Pepsi. When you're done with your meal, friendly staff clear your table for you. We're glad we stopped by.

So far so good! Love how this place looks! And has video games you could play. Also good music, fun good feeling. Nice place to go hang with a few friends or just to have fun with your lover. They have a awesome nice old style car inside of the place too! It's a table you could sit at. But they only have one car.. I got a burger and fries and it tasted great great great! I'm definitely coming back here!!!

I've been to so many burger restaurants over the years and I hate to say that a "chain" is the best, but this place really is. I absolutely love their tender hamburgers. The rolls are buttered to all hell and are therefore orgasmic. The potato wedges are incredible, but not everyone seems to agree with me. The make-your-own-toppings station is brilliant too. The cheese sauce only makes things more amazing. The only gripe I have with this restaurant is that burgers aren't always cooked the same. i recommend going with "medium-well" because sometimes "medium" comes out rather rare.

I hadn't been to a Fuddruckers since I was kid in Florida, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I visited this location. But I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers are good, they have sweet potato fries (score!) and the prices are reasonable.

Amazing burgers that I ever have! It is fresh, juicy, and absolutely mouth-watering. If you paired it with sweet potato fries, it taste even better! Their steak cesar salad is amazing if you would like to enjoy something else beside their delicious burgers. My families from London and California love this place so much that they are looking into opportunities to open it over there! Highly recommended!

Umm... boyfriend and I went there after a showing of "The Black Knight" (which was... AWESOME) because we were both craving a good hamburger, so we went on to Fuddruckers! I say it's a glorified McDonalds since you go to the counter and order and grab your burgers once it's ready... I love the condiment station where you can load up on lettuce and onions and tomatoes and hot cheese and all that goodness. And we both REALLY enjoyed the burgers. (They were really good!) But about ten minutes after we ate... we both left feeling absolutely NAUSEATED. Yeah... we both got a tiny bout of food poisoning. Not fun. I'm thinking it was probably a case of someone not washing their hands or maybe a case of cross-contamination... but last night of stomach cramps and running to the bathroom was not fun.

i don't exactly know when i first ate at a Fuddrucker's, but it was long enough ago that they still gave out those goofy folded-paper hats. Ask my roommate, Jessica F. about those. At any rate, i want to say it was in Maryland or something like that. Either way, when i finally discovered that there was one as close as Saugus (interesting fact about Saugus: it's not actually very close to Newton), i was pretty stoked. The inside is just on the tasteful side of corny. Back in the day, they had a much more industrial decor, giving you the (probably true) impression that they moved so much food that they had to store the full boxes of ketchup and beer and pickles and stuff in the aisles. i preferred that, but this one does seem to have actual old bleacher seats from Fenway, which is nice. But really, the food is the key. It is simple in the extreme--it's burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes really, but the meat is typically butchered on site (this, too, was frequently in the front window of older Fuddrucker's stores), the rolls are baked right there, and it's all very fresh (this includes the condiment bar--no limp lettuce or sorry-looking onions). Also, if you ask for medium rare or well-done, and you will get it, unlike most places. The burgers are obviously as huge as you think you can handle. i've never considered going for a 2/3 pound, for the record, much less the whole thing. The onion rings are also superb. So it ain't cheap, and maybe it isn't 'the world's greatest' hamburger, but it is most assuredly right up there. And i'm sure if you asked nicely, they'd probably still find a hat for you.

In the past year or so, they have done a remodel and if you walk in at just the right moment, you can snag the Jack Rabbit Slims-esque BelAir booth and feel really cool.

For those that aren't familiar with the drill: pick your oversize burger cooked to order at the counter, then go over to the toppings bar and add as much lettuce (leaves or chopped), tomatoes (sliced or diced), melted cheese, jalepeno peppers and condiments (ketchup, bbq sauce, mustard, etc) you can handle. It's not all supposed to fit in your mouth at once. No weaksauce combos here, fries/rings and drinks cost extra. They try to have "healthier" options on the menu, like grilled chicken and salads, but if you're eating here, my guess is health is not high on your priority list. The desserts are pretty good if you like quantity over quality. This is a very spacious Fuddrucker's, if not a very updated one. There are two partitioned seating areas with tables and booths, and there's a fun round table made up to look like a 50's convertible. They've got all the usual stuff there, the display case of 1/3 to 1 pound patties, the dessert case, etc. They even have a two small arcade areas which my kids love. We often come up here to eat before heading to the big movie theater in Revere. Good if you go once in a while, but my stomach rarely feels good after a visit to the Fuddrucker's. This restaurant is located next to a gas station on the northbound side of Route 1. Watch for it carefully, because if you miss the turn off, you'll have to circle around at the next exit, and that's no fun with all the traffic. Nice big parking lot here so it's hardly ever full. The bathrooms were passable, but not especially clean. They need more stalls for a place like this. Just sayin.

What more is there to say... I LOVE FUDDRUCKER'S!!!! Anytime I have a craving for a burger that I can create my own way I instantly think of fuddrucker's. Every time I go I get the 1/2 lb burger well done with fries (and boy do I love the fries). Great for lunch. Hell I would eat it for breakfast if they were open. I love the warm, soft, buttery bread, the juicy burger, and the cheese sauce that I have to dip my fries in. The milkshakes are to die for too. I always get a mix of coffee, and mocha just in case you were wondering. When you go there I suggest you either sit in the car they turned into a table, or what I like to call "the Fenway Park Corner" Trust me you will not be disappointed!!!! GOOD EATS

Great burgers, and really good fries. The best part about this place is the condiment bar where you can pile on as much crap as you would like. Jalapeños are my condiment of choice. Last night I got a 1/2 pounder with cheddar, bacon, and BBQ sauce, and then added jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, and, um, more BBQ sauce. And they also have caffeine-free Diet Coke, which is a plus (I like to lay off the caffeine usually). The one gripe I have with this place: it's expensive as HELL. $12 for a burger, soda, and fries? REALLY? It's a bit outrageous, especially because I've had better burgers for dirt cheap. This place would be 4 stars if the burgers didn't cost as much as your next rent payment.

This is a great place to take kids. While not the cheapest burger around they offer a great value. The meat on my burger was tender, flavorful and juicy and you get to put the toppings on yourself. While we were there this time we sat in the car booth and the kids thought it was fun.

I was craving a big juicy burger and this place came to mind. I had one once before that the Jordan's location and thought it was delicious. This location was off of crazy Rt. 1. The combo meals were pricier then I remembered. Starting at $10, I decided to go with the smallest one, a 1/3rd lb burger with fries and a drink. My bf decided on the half pounder with bacon and cheese. Yeah..not the healtiest day for us. We opted for onion rings instead of fries. When you ring in your order they get you on the upgrades, want cheese, +60cents, bacon and cheese, + 1.49. The good thing is the all you can add toppings bar. Our food was done very fast. They give you a buzzer and you go pick it up. The toppings bar appeard just refreshed. The annoying part was all the kids who had to touch everything and add everything and cut in front of you to do so. Cross contamination central. This is not a diet conscious place. They even have 2 hot cheese machines at the toppings bar, I watched as chubby children pressed the handle with their life to load their fries with cheese galore. The dining room was like Chucky Cheese, The place is very geared to families. With arcade games on 2 sides, kids were running everywhere. Now there were some well behaved kids but for the most part I was shocked with the kids behaviors. It was an attention competition. I feel like we were the only adults in there without kids. Important part..burgers..My burger was great. Juicy, flavorful, on a buttered toasted roll. I devoured it with love. Onions rings were just ok, they were soft, not crunchy. I would opt for the sweet potato fries next time. Would I come back for a burger again..maybe..but I would seriously consider that the place is a total ADD kid zone.

What's not to love about a Fuddruckers? They cook a burger to order better than other places that aren't chains, and you can sit in an old car (if you beat the families with kids to it. Or you can just not be a dick and let the kid sit there, whatever)

If you like made to order burgers on bakery fresh bread then this place is for you! The burgers are cooked to order and you can top them yourself with as little or as much as you want. A must try if you like a good burger.

Ok, I decided to go back on a wednesday evening as opposed to saturday afternoon. Definitely more laid back. The service still blah, and the burgers still awesome. The wife actually ate her entire burger, so it must be good. The big difference was that the kid qoutient was about half what it is on saturdays. No protection of testicles needed on this trip. I'll be back, just not on the weekend. Oh and for those of you saying that pulling out onto Route 1 was a problem, it is. The entrance has poor sight distance in that it's located on the backside of the hill. The solution, drive along the front of the building through the parking lot and enter Route 1 further north of the Fuddruckers entrance. That will give you a little more room to see as you pull out onto the roadway.

(review dated 7/06): went to try it bc it was constantly on phantom gourmet, praising it to no end. yeah, the serving style is a little different from other burger chains, lot more things to self-serve than usual. yeah, you can say the burger was "fresher" than those from a mcd assembly line (but also more expensive!), but was it well worth the drive? i wouldn't say so. plus it seems that the fewer of staff needed (since we're serving ourselves mostly) were really taking their time, from refilling the condiments and cleaning the counter to wiping the tables after people leave. maybe it was near closing time, but didn't make a good enough impression on me to want to go again. :)

One pound burger, lots of toppings on it, unbuckle belt one notch to the next lower setting. Let the gluttony begin! Go Buttfuc........ermm.....Fuddruckers.

I'm really hesitant to give Fuddruckers a 5 star food joint. This is only because of the noise, which was a little too much for my Mom's Dad. The burgers are unmatched, however. To get the choice of your size of burger, type of cheese and what other meat to have on it is legendary. I recommend the 2/3 pound burger with cheddar cheese and bacon. Wait what? No vegetables or condiments? Well, that's where the vegetable and condiments bar comes in. You see, every Fuddruckers has its own vegi and condiments bar where you can put on just about anything that you want. They have hot peppers, olives, lettuce, pickles... just about anything. They've also got sides of all different types of mustards and steak sauces. The establishment, at least in Saugus, is very accessible right off of Route 1. You will not be disappointed if you go there. I always joke with my granddad about going to Fuddruckers to eat because he hated the noise so much. It takes a certain type of person, but believe me, if you're under the age of 75, you can tolerate it. Cactus Approved.

Grew up with Fuddrucker's, and thought of their bugers always makes my mouth water. There are multiple locations in the greater Boston area... but as of today yelp only has one listed... the other one that I know of is in Reading... in the Jordan's IMAX/ furniture complex. Eventhough I never eat at the like of McDonalds, nor do I generally consume red meat, I highly recommend "the works" (bacon, mushrooms, and cheese). The ostretch burger is a healthy and tasty alternative that is not only good for your heart, but good for the earth (birds tend to need a smaller "footprint" of land and requires less energy per pound to produce). I'm a little disappointed by the fries and the shakes, but the burgers and chicken sandwich well makes up for the lack.

So I'm vegetarian. And yet I love this place. Despite the case full of raw meat and the many people scarfing down one-pound burgers, I can't seem to get enough. Of the veggie burgers, that is. The veggie burger with cheddar is great, but add on top of that the lovely fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and japapenos, plus a couple squirts of ketchup and mustard, and you've got yourself a vegetarian delight! Plus, they have unbelievably good iced tea. It's freshly brewed, unsweetened liquid awesomeness.

id say this jaun is closer to 4.5 in my book, but i cant go 5 stars, sorry mr. rucker. ok, so i dont know if you knew this, but if you change the first and second syllable, it says a bad word, did they know that?? what exactly is a rudd? those silly burgerdudes ok, so they grill it up nice, the option of a half rings, half fries is enough for two people, the fixing station is a nice touch for those who want that on their food and they even have a cheese sauce that you can rig to your fries (cheese fries) and thats not extra. use it or lose it. i will say this for the location, if you are a slow driver, you will die coming out of this parking lot. for some reason, the city planner for saugus decided to have the autobahn right in front on every commercial pulloff. not only that, but 1 is a divided highway so you only need to look left, which is a hill, so you cant judge it quite right and everytime you pull out, close your eyes and count your prayers.. like the guy being chased around the maze by mr pickle and mr egg, its burgertime.

I liked what I had, but would not run here for food. I had a chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was fine, the fries were really great. I don't like that fact that you need to add your own veggies to your sandwich. Remember, this is a family friendly place, so there tends to be children, sports teams, etc...I did not eat inside & would not eat inside. Line is long & slow, but once you order, food comes up pretty fast. Location isn't great for pulling in & out of the parking lot.

i don't know how the burgers taste because i absolutely drown them in toppings. don't expect me to be in a salad bar-type situation and not take a gallon of everything. the milkshakes are made of icy liquid sent down from the heavens. if i were stranded on an island entirely surrounded by fuddruckers milkshakes, i'd only be stranded for a day or two. just don't expect me to move for a week or so after the fact because i'm lactose intolerant and i'd be pregnant with milkshake babies. i like dipping the fries in their honey mustard. they have heinz honey mustard, which i can never find in stores. :(

Oh man, this place is like a slice of heaven on two hamburger buns. Jen doesn't even like ground meat and she loves this place. First, start off with hamburgers going from small to the size of a small child, then mix in a huge "mixing bar" where you can put pretty much whatever and how-ever much you want on your burger, then finish with a nice milkshake that'll fill your stomach completely. Throw in a dash of inexpensive prices and table service and you have the best fast-food hamburger joint ever made. This place is definitly worth the drive to saugus (which isn't that far, just go to route one and it's about 15 minutes from the heart of Boston).

I first went to Fudruckers in Foxwoods casino and LOVED it. When I moved to Malden and saw one on Rt 1, I was super excited. My fiance and I went there for a later dinner one night so I could show him what all the excitement was about. The place was pretty empty and the order taker was less-than-thrilled to be there. She took our order and it was ready fairly quickly. Prices were a bit more than I wanted to pay, but since moving out here, all our meals have been more expensive. The burgers were good and adding cheese sauce to them made them even better. My fiance got a spicy burger (firehouse or something?) and I got the bacon cheeseburger. When we had first come in, I had peeked in the cookie case and saw that there were still quite a few of each variety left. As we ate, I stared longingly at the dessert area. I was more than ready to order a half dozen cookies and brownies to take home with us. When we finally finished and got to the counter, the case had been emptied. There was a plate on top of the case with a few oatmeal cookies left on it. I inquired about all the cookies I had seen earlier and the guy behind the counter giggled, shrugged, and said they were all out. Clearly the staff had eaten them. We were not the last customers in the restaurant, and there was still at least 30 mins until they closed. I've worked a lot of food service jobs, and I understand that sometimes at closing time you can eat the leftovers, but not when you're still open and the customers are still eating! We'll probably be back for a second try, and perhaps we'll go earlier before Debbie Downer the cookie monster show up.

Cannot say enough about this location. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. One manager Victor is always happy to see regular faces and go the extra mile to make sure you have a great meal. Other associates (moslty high school aged kids) are always happy and attentive when taking your order. For the most part the place is very fast and consistant with the food preparation. The fries are always hot and fresh (I usually get extra seasoning on the side) and the sandwiches are made to order, same with any salads etc. To be completely honest, I've never had a burger at this location (or any other Fuddrucker's for that matter). I usually get the chicken sandwiches or Cesar salads. The Ying Yang Chicken Sandwich is by far, the most incredible sandwich I've gotten in the Massachusetts area. The chicken breast (either grilled or crispy) is always very hot and tender. The "Ying Yang" sauce is always a blast of flavor as well. Personally I like the prouduce bar where you can dress your sandwich/salad up with anything from fresh tomatoes and onions, to pickles and pico de gallo. With friendly staff, fresh food and electric atmosphere it's a really great stop no matter how big, small, old or young your party is. Two Thumbs Up!

Pros: - Huge burgers cooked to desired doneness and served on a buttered/toasted bun - Help yourself condiments - Yummy bacon and cheese fries - A glassful of strawberry shake plus a half cup of the "extras" - Beer and/or endless fountain drinks Cons: - Being carried out on a stretcher from over indulgence.

Man, I LOVE Fudd's! The only thing keeping me from giving them five stars is the fact it's noisy has hell in there, and sometimes, the bus staff takes awhile to clear a table if you're waiting for one. Otherwise, I really think Fuddruckers has an AMAZING burger. I always order the 1/3 lb. Works, add grilled onions, and I put A1 Steak Sauce on it. Then I go over to the vast smorgasbord of toppings, wehre you ADD YOUR OWN, which is great...and put on lettuce (whole or shredded?), Tomatoes (sliced or diced?), and extra pickles. (Luv me the xtra pickles!) Mmmmmmm. And of course, an order of chili cheese fries to share out with my husband and two of my kids (my littlest won't eat chili, of course.) And the bread is FRESH...I have major weakness for fresh breads...soft....floofy....buttery.....Oh, my. And Fuddruckers puts all their sandwiches on fresh-out-of-the-oven rolls. And the 'bakery' also bakes up fresh cookies and brownies. Oh, and did I mention the frappes??? The people who work the counter are friendly, efficient, and will repeat your order back to you so you can be sure they didn't miss anything. And they know plenty...ask them ANYTHING about ANYTHING on the menu, and they'll answer the question, dead-on. My whole family of 5 can eat here for $40. That's the best part of it! I must say, tho, I do prefer the Saugus location as compared to the one a bit closer to me in Reading at Jordan's Furniture, mostly because the Reading one is usually much too crowded.

Fudd's is THE BEST burger place. No more Burger King, or McDonald's for me. Wendy's? You will still get some consideration. But I have ordered two different burgers, most recently the Southwest (with guacamole, INCREDIBLE!!), and it was great. Definitely satisfies the burger craving.

My motorcycle group meets here once a month to decide our ride schedule and they don't mind that we take up one of the little rooms. It is good for us because you can get a beer, soda, snack of fries,or a burger for dinner. So everyone is happy. If you want a burger and a shake this is my favorite place to go.

Where's it at?: 7 Right off of Route 1 makes it fairly easy to find with a very large sign out front. Just be careful because it is right after a turn. How's the atmosphere?: 7 This is a very lively place where it seems people are truly enjoying themselves. There are lots of Sports banners and pictures hanging around the walls to make you feel reminiscent of the past. It's a very casual environment. How's the service?: 5 The cashier mumbled a bit and it seemed like he wasn't entirely focused on the customer because we had to repeat our order twice. The food also took a lot longer than expected. It was nice though to have someone come and clean off your table. What's on the menu?: 7 As expected the menu consists of some of your favorite grilled foods. There are hot dogs, grilled chicken, and the whole place is centered on their famous cheese burgers. It's about what you can expect from a place like this. How's the starters?: 8 The french fries were quite tasty and the onion rings were satisfying as well. The fries were seasoned fairly well and were very crispy which is always a positive. The baked beans weren't the greatest but were satisfying with pieces of bacon thrown in to add a twist. How's the main course?: 8 The burgers are what you come here for. You have a choice of 1/3 lb, 1/2 lb, 3/4 lb, and the giant 1 lb burger. There is a topping bar so you personalize your burger however you would like. There is also the hot dog which you could load with chili and cheese for your own pleasure and an assortment of chicken sandwiches. How's the dessert?: 7 There are a good amount of dessert choices. There are cookies and brownies and a few others that are fairly cheap. There are also milkshakes that you can get with your meal and they are actually brought to you. A good choice is the cookies and cream. Should I bring my appetite?: 8 Depending on how big you go with your burger, they are usually very filling after you top it with all your favorites. The roll was a little too thick for my liking, but overall I would suggest bringing your appetite. How deep does my wallet have to be?: 7 There are definitely cheaper alternatives for a cheeseburger, but I think it's worth it in the end. Entrees probably range from $7 to $15 and dessert ranges from $1 to $5. How clean is it?: 7 The place is fairly clean and probably what you would expect from a burger place. The toppings bar can get a little messy but overall it isn't bad. Final Score: 71/100 Approved for the casual, with a fun environment and good burgers. Adjusted Score:3.55/5

I start to sweat as my heart starts to race, I can feel my face becoming flush as I start to feel dizzy. As my arteries harden I can slowly feel my breath slip away.....yet I am completely content with the world." No not a bad scene from ER....this is the feeling you get after eating a Fuddruckers burger. Its delicious and has grease and butter galour! Lets break down the facts, if your going to eat something that's not entirely good for, don't half ass it. Go all the way and get a burger that just might end your life. A toasted bun? Lets use an entire stick of butter. Why settle for a quarter pound when you can have the other three quarters for just a little extra. Its tremendous I highly recommend it, but if you can afford a defibrillator...it cant hurt to bring it.

The best burger I ever had in my life was at a backyard BBQ in Chicago in 1985. The host was explaining to us how he made his burgers as he grilled them. I have to admit I wish I paid better attention because his burgers were out of this world. I always loved a good burger, but until then I had never realized just how great a burger can be. For years I searched for a place that served burgers of that quality. As far as burger chain restaurants, Fuddruckers is the one place that comes the closest to replicating the quality of those amazing burgers. They obviously use a superior quality of ground sirloin and they know how to cook it, preserving all the juices and flavor. Their buns (something most burger joints pay no attention to) are also very good, and I believe they butter them as well. Their salad bar and condiments are also exceptional. Their fries and onion rings are pretty good. I've eaten at several Fuddruckers over the years and I have found them to be consistently outstanding. The price is reasonable for the superior quality. Fuddruckers had suceeded in doing what Wendy's failed to do: be a superior alternative to BK and McD.

I love Fuddruckers. I love the fact that I can put whatever I want on my burger at the toppings bar. I love that they have Dr. Pepper and fresh brewed ice tea. I love there chili cheese fries and there regular fries. Try there regular fries dipped in honey mustard, mmmmmm nom nom. The only drawback would be that this place is VERY kid friendly, the place is usually crawling with them. I recommend going early on a weekday if you can but I will even put up with the deafing noise of all the screaming on weekends just to get me some fries.

DO NOT be that person who goes to Fuddruckers and orders a salad. I was that person and was horribly disappointed. While I was waiting over 20 minutes for my salad to be made, the three other people I was dining with were in ecstasy chowing down on their burgers, which they couldn't stop talking about how wonderful they were. Lesson Learned: Order the burger at Fuddruckers.

i'm pretty sure your arteries will want to punch you in the face if you eat here on even a semi-regular basis, but you do have to go at least once, if only just to revel in the novelty of this place. i only stepped foot in here because my boyfriend NAGGED me every time we passed it, but in retrospect, i'm glad i did it at least once. the condiment bar has just about everything you never knew you needed on your 1/4lb-too many pounds to eat burger. the burgers themselves are pretty good too, and they offer a turkey and veggie burger as well, which i thought was nice. even though we went on a weekend, service was relatively quick and everything was pretty clean. there were a lot of screaming kids, but, such is life outside of the city on any given weekend i guess.

Sweet mother of all that is holy. This place actually makes me squeal with delight. Not only is being in Saugus an excuse to go to Fuddruckers... but Fuddruckers is reason enough to haul ass to Saugus right now. The burgers are GINORMOUS. I don't even want to imagine how huge the pounders are, I'll just stick to the thirds & halfies. :) The burger is pretty much two meals for me, sometimes three. They cook them to your preference (rare, medium, well done) & you basically get a naked burger with just the meat, bun, & your cheese or bacon or whatever. Then comes the fun part: there's a condiment bar thing! Fresh veggies & sauces! You can go extra heavy on mayo & lettuce, or put your pickles on the side, or stick your mayo/mustard/ketchup in little paper cups, or overload your burger with nothing but onions & tomato. Screw Burger King -- this is truly a burger YOUR way. They have a sugary sweet collection of cookies & whatnot for dessert... ohemgeezus, they are so good. There's beer & sodas, & I believe stuff like hot dogs as well. This is just an all-around badass place to eat. They've always been super fast, even when they were busy, & the counter-peoples have always been friendly. The restaurant has a nice vibe, too. It feels really chill. As far as burgers go, this is the closest I've had to the ones my mother makes, & that makes me smile. If your pants are getting a little too big, go have lunch at Fuddruckers. I guarantee you'll pop a button, or I'll personally give you a coupon for 5 dollars off your next visit!* (*coupons are counterfeit & will not be honored.)

Fuddrucker's bribe the Phantom Gourmet Show with money to OBBSESS ABOUT their restaurants. C'mon, it's a mediocre hamburger chain. For the most part, the burgers are good. They are expensive and don't come with anything. The milkshakes are the best part about the place. When I went, everybody in my party ordered milkshakes as well. The bil came to about $63 for 5 for HAMBURGERS with NO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS. It was the most we ever spent in our lives for HAMBURGERS, at the place that doesn't even wait on you. I would go again just for the milkshakes. Johnny Rockets at the Burlington and South Shore Mall is the cheaper, smaller, and better version of Fuddruckers in my book.

i went to pick up a taco salad with chicken for take out, as i have in the past, and was very unpleasantly surprised. the box they use is now 1/3 the size, the taco shell does not fit in it, so the staff is to crush the shell into pieces and then put the salad on top. the manager informed me of this. i was also informed by the manager that the salad is a smaller size but the price remains the same. i was so upset, i would have preferred to have been told when i ordered on the phone the new version. i won't be in any rush to go back

I think this shopping area is where small chains go to die. I am conviced Route 1 in Saugus is the road to Hell. I am a Fuddruckers fan. I have been to many locations and have enjoyed them.....except this one. This Fuddruckers has the (dis)honor of sharing a parking lot with the Midwest Grill, read my review on that one if you want to hear more but the place just plain sucks. First of all the place has a stale odor lingers with you for the rest of the day. Then the eating area is dirty with little kids running around all jacked up on the unlimited sodas, its annoying. The place is Chuck-E-Cheese without the giant rat....I am sure the rats are being served over at the Midwest Grill. The food is okay. I honestly enjoy the sweet potato fries and the burger but its overpriced. I paid 18 bucks for a large burger, fries and soda, I could have went to a kid free sitdown restaurant for that price. I do like the toppings bar and the sauces but honestly you are better going to a different location. I say avoid Route 1 at all costs.

Fudruckers is pretty good especially if you are hungry for some greasy food....and fast! I usually go to the one in Reading at the Jordan's Furniture. Its much better then McDonald's, but at the same time its nothing fancy.

What the heck is all the hype about? I was thoroughly unimpressed. This place is really expensive for a fast food hamburger joint, I'm a big burger fan, but next time I swing through Saugus I'd be just as happy stopping at the McDonald's down the street.

Fuddruckers is my perfect idea of a Friday night out with the girls. It is a place where a little noise and laughing is okay and the food is great. With tasty selections of all sorts (I suggest the straight up burgers) and delectable desserts to follow you cant go wrong here!
