Us to the Hampton Inn shuttle driver after the wedding reception: It's only 1000pm, where in Raynham can we find a club/bar? Driver: The Jockey Club down the street from the hotel, I'll drop you off (of course he'll drop us off, we gave him a nice trip since he dropped us off and picked us up from the wedding reception). Us: SOLD! Let's go change and go to the Jockey Club. The Jockey Club? Come on really, "Jockey Club"? Where did you get that name? Granted we were already tipsy from the open bar at the wedding, the night was still young. The Jockey Club was a big outdoor tent with a live band, lots of locals (I think I was the ONLY Asian in there), and loud music. There was an AC/DC cover band called Dirty Deeds playing ($10 cover was a bit steep I thought). The beers weren't overly expensive and Dirty Deeds rocked the tent! Damn they sounded like the real deal. Locals? Lots of Harley Riders, lots of young, lots of old. Good times. Unfortunately they closed shop around 1245am and kicked everyone out with real Taunton or Raynham policeman and not hired private bouncers. I guess the Jockey Club is the go to place on a Saturday night in Raynham! :) OH YEAH...SHORTS and SLIPPERS are OK! I still threw on jeans!

Food here is really good .. And service is as well. Great place to watch a game on the big screens or listen to a band play (tent is great in the summer. Bar inside can get crowded with the small dance floor). Kids love it.

Great drinks tonight, and Good service as well! Decided to splurge and try the prime rib; the mashed potatoes tasted like instant ones... Seriously, instant potatoes with my $18 prime rib? That was disappointing.. Other than that great meal

1st time here. Food was pretty good. They have $9.95 specials. I got the turkey dinner that was well worth the price! Sampled the butternut squash ravioli. ...delicious! The dinner rolls where hot and crusty. ..another plus! 16 & 25 oz. draft beers at decent prices. I'd return!

Unreliably low price for what you get, entrée, salad, 2 sides and great hot buns. The food was excellent. I had the broiled scallops and the wife prime rib.

I would like to start by saying that I will be back again ,and will re-review this place when I do come back. So, it all started like this: My friends and I were looking for a restaurant, so instead of driving around trying to find someplace that we have never been to, we decided instead to use the yelp app and go to the first place that was nearby. Bonus! It had great reviews! The outside had a tent with live music, and an outdoor seating area that they allowed smoking, and there was a restaurant and function hall inside. The environment was very kept up, but I felt the music was a touch too loud for the amount of people that were outside. I think that what happened next was because of that loudness, and this is why I will be back. We waited for our waitress Sara to come give us our menus. That took a while. Then we waited for her to take the orders. That took a while. I had gotten the fried mac and cheese and the nachos no chili. Now, let's talk about the nachos. Whomever thought it was cool to start a trend putting chili on nachos should be shot. Because now nachos have hardly any ingredients on them other than chili and cheese. There's no imagination! But I digress...these nachos had lettuce on them which was a major bonus in my book. I asked for both my nachos and my fried mac and cheese to be brought out at the same time as my friend's entrees. Well needless to say, obviously I am bringing this up because the nachos came before the entrees. Now I am going to eat the nachos, but they literally gave me the smallest sides of sour cream and salsa I have ever seen in my life. So now I have to wait yet again to request that. By now the entrees have come out. I have since finished my mac and cheese and I have yet to receive the sour cream and salsa. I gave up on the nachos, which didn't have much cheese on them to begin with, but now they were really getting gross. The lettuce was tossed in with the nachos, which has long since started to wilt (hot things make lettuce wilt guys!). This whole time the other meals were just fine if not great. FINALLY we get the check, and I see they charged me for a corona and not a coors light. Turns out they over charged me for $.50. Hardly worth mentioning, but after everything else, I feel I must. I would definitely say that this all may be a fluke. I am willing to try it again, and see if this was just an off day. Oh, by the way, very, very limited vegetarian selection!

Good prices but the waitstaff is consistently terrible. Drinks take 5 minutes to come to table and they don't make drinks the right way unless you tell them. Horrid service time and time again...

This was my first time at the Jockey Club and to be honest I walked in with low expectations but I figured it has been around for a long time so it must be doing something right. First impression was it was a bit outdated and dark. We were seated right away and the host was also the waiter so he took out drink order right as we sat. We started looking at the menu and that is when we really noticed how dark it was at our booth, I almost took out my cell phone and used the flash light app to read the menu. We decided to start out with the Lobster Rangoon's 5 for 5.95 not a bad deal and they were tasty. I ordered the steak tips (16oz) house marinade for $15.95 that included dinner rolls and a salad plus potato and vegetable. My wife ordered the Chicken Broccoli and Ziti 10.95 with salad and rolls and my daughter got a kids cheeseburger. The food came out and it was perfect the tips where cooked to medium as requested and were tender and tasty. The Broccoli chicken and Ziti was wonderful (I tried it and it was probably one of the best I have tried) and the kids cheese burger was cooked perfect and big, not a small burger Now for my only complaint besides the lighting. They do not offer free refills on soda and they are not big glasses plus it is top to bottom ice. If I was told that or it was posted in the menu I wouldn't have minded but when the bill came and I was charged $23 for soda (more then steak tips and a kid's burger mind you) I was a little shocked. Other then the Soda issue it was a great meal and I will be back and will recommend it to everyone. 4 stars out of 5 (lost one star over the soda) I just can't let it go hahaha

This is another local place that we hit when we don't want to go too far. It's decent looking from the outside and they have s giant covered patio for the summer. The facade is not facing the road, so I think that hurts them. Very dark inside and a bit outdated. They still have tube TV's hanging from the ceiling. The food is pretty good. My wife always gets the chicken fingers. They have a good crispy coating and they give you plenty to eat and take home. I had the schrod Diane which is baked schrod with spinach, diced tomatoes, and a crab bisque. It comes with 2 sides and a salad. It was very good. Here's why they only get 2 stars. The service is never very good. The waitresses are not too bright and don't handle questions very well. They don't think in the best interest of the business and say no to many requests. On this past occasion, I asked the waitress what they had on draft. Her response was that they have many and I should go to the bar to see what they had. Seriously? I have to go to s crowded bar and look for myself? The waitress should at minimum have a list to read from. The specials menu should also have the beer list. Her lack of effort was disappointing. My wife asked for honey for the chicken and the waitress said she doesn't think they have any. When our food came out(without honey) my wife asked about the honey. You could tell that the waitress forgot, but answered that they don't have honey. What kitchen does not have honey? Unacceptable! When the waitress realized we weren't impressed with her service, she got worse. We asked for a take out container for the chicken. When she came back, we had to ask her for lids for the sauces. I really like the food here. This place has been up and down in past years. I suggest to the owners/management that they work on the service. The waitresses need to learn to not say no and do everything to satisfy the customer. Oh yeah, and create a draft list!

Great place to come for a few drinks and dinner. Food is very good, especially the chicken broccoli and ziti...is my go to meal. $12 will get you an entree that comes with a salad and warm rolls. My only suggestion would to offer free refills on soda. Waitstaff has improved a lot over the last few months and are much more attentive. We have had several functions here.. Rehearsal dinners, birthday parties and baby showers all have been great...

Had some wonderful food here yesterday. Unfortunately, the service (very tall woman at the inside bar last night) made the meal terrible. Good food just doesn't trump pathetic service. It's a shame because in other visits here, the other staff have been amazing.

This was a nice place to have lunch. Food was good, price was as expected. Service was excellent but than again we were the only customers there at noon this Sunday. I liked the place.

This place was pretty cool, I dinged it a star for the weird nachos, but liked the place overall. Nice ambiance, locals coming in for poker night, friendly bartender, clean and on a Sunday afternoon, not too loud. The nacho plate got a thumbs down because they used an Italian seasoned meat sauce on them. It would be more authentic if they used a pinto or black bean base and added taco seasoned ground beef or chicken. We did see some East Coast foods being served that looked amazing and will be back to try those!

Caveat: All I'm reviewing here is the bar, on a weeknight....while the the traveling poker-circus was in town. I stopped in for a glass of wine on my way home. It was a little busy as poker players were filtering in, and I don't know how this all works, but it appears the players must purchase something from the bar in order to play poker. So, the bartenders must contend with this in addition to serving the bar patrons. I sat at the bar and had to wait a bit longer than I would have expected for even a greeting from one of the two bartenders, then they didn't have any wine behind the bar. Once I did get my glass of Cabernet, the bartender I had was pleasant and apologized for the wait. I had a bit of trouble getting the attention of the other bartender when I was ready to cash out. I'm guessing she was chatting up some regulars, which I'm not one. I've been to The Jockey Club many times before, have had great food, good service and an enjoyable time overall. Tonight just didn't do it for me, but I'll go back and give them another try. Just not on Poker Night.

Good lunch specials, cold beer, cute bartender... a perfect combo! My only small complaint is that the bathroom was a little dirty, and the TVs weren't positioned very well. The specials were all around $7 or $8. The steak tips were marinated and cooked to perfection. For a lunch special the serving was bigger than I expected. The beer bottles were ice cold and they had a pretty good selection on tap. The bartender was cute, and had a great personality. I wish I was in this area more often so I could stop by for lunch. They have entertainment on the weekends, and in the summer they have a tent and out door bar.

$3.99 lunch specials during the week. $2 dollar miller lite drafts. This place is a great after work drinking spot. they have the hottest bartenders around. The tvs are a little out of place but i just stare at the bartenders.

Walking into this place you would not expect the food to be nothing but bar room quality. Surprise ! This is the best food in the Raynham/Taunton area. The steaks and seafood are always great. Soups and thin crust pizza excellent and you must try the ziti with chicken and broccoli. We eat here 3 to 4 times a month.
