My boyfriend and I ate at Alden Park on our anniversary, we were looking to try a new spot. I LOVE the atmosphere - the lighting and the setup is fantastic, and though we sat at a table for dinner, the bar looked like a fabulous place to sit and have a drink, so we may return just for drinks sometime. We asked out waiter for his opinion on a chardonnay, and he made a fantastic recommendation - Emma Pearl was perfect! He was also nice enough to write out a little list of wines that were similar to the taste profile of the bottle we got, as it was a bit pricey. I could have made a meal of the focaccia bread and garlic butter, it is SO yummy. I ordered the Land and Sea Skewers (shrimp and steak tips accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and usually asparagus but I subbed steamed spinach). My food didn't come out super hot, it may have sat a few minutes too long in the pickup window, but it was delicious. I think they steamed the spinach in salt water and it was SO good. My boyfriend ordered the lamb special, which he ordered rare. I don't know anything about lamb, but in his opinion it came out far too rare. I recommended that he ask our waiter to just have them cook it a bit more, but he didn't want to send it back so it's his own fault if he didn't enjoy his meal. Overall I like Alden Park, the food is pricey, so we'll likely just stick to apps and drinks at the bar from here on out. A perk is that they have a function space for larger parties, so the noise and crowd isn't overwhelming the regular dining room and you're not waiting forever for a table because there's a large party camped out.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the bar was full with an older crowd, which was nice to see. I ordered the steak freits and my husband got the roasted mussels. The mussels were very good but should have been served with some crusty bread to soak up the wonderful sauce. The steak was just ok, not the best cut of meat but the fries they came with were delicious. We will definiely try this place again. Check out pictures I attached to give you an idea of what the food looks like.

General Manager did not wash hands after using restroom! When he was confronted was extremely rude and provided terrible customer service. Instead of apologizing for the confusion, called our party liars. Very disappointed. Unfortunately this was our first and last trip here.

We went to Alden Park last night for dinner and just ended up sitting at the bar for drinks and apps. The atmosphere was great and both the bar and dining room were busy for a Wednesday night. The service was great, the food was ok. We ordered a bottle of the Stark Raving Malbec which I would highly recommend. It was only $30 which isn't bad for a restaurant bottle. For food we ordered the sweet potato chips, bruschetta, pulled pork sliders, and tofu lettuce wraps. The sweet potato chips were great. They were served with ranch dressing and a buffalo blue cheese dip. The bruschetta was topped with the normal tomatoes and cheese but it also had capers and a white wine sauce. I love capers, but this bruschetta had so many on it that it was way too salty. I recommend asking for no capers (or light capers) because it seemed like the dish would have been perfect without them. I didn't eat any of the pulled pork sliders but my husband seemed to enjoy them. The tofu lettuce wraps were pretty good although there was too much soy sauce which also created a salt issue. I love salt but it seemed to be a common theme throughout our meal. Anyway, the lettuce wraps weren't exactly what I was expecting... I thought they would be kind of like spring rolls... already wrapped in the lettuce. But they were actually served as a large plate of rice and veggies with tofu and soy sauce and the lettuce is served on the side. I liked this because I was able to bring the rest home (the portion was HUGE) and still keep the lettuce cold as I heated up the filling. We will definitely try it again but probably make some modifications to our order to cut down on some of the salt.

I've only been to Alden Park a few times after work and no matter how many times I go, I'm always surprised by how much the bill is. This place is over priced for no reason. They changed up their cocktail menu from the last time I went and the drink I loved (the Ginger Pear) was no longer available. You can order it if you ask the bartender. Food wise, this place is kinda sub par. For dinner I had the steak tips with garlic mashed and aspergus. I asked that the steak tips be cooked medium but once I cut into them, it was more medium-done. The mashed potatoes could have been creamier and the asperagus were a little over cooked. What a disappointment. My DP had the Mezza Plate and Siracha Wings from the Appetizer menu and it was pretty delicious. The Mezza Plate was consisted of hummus (which was really dry and crusty), babaganoush and some other Middle Eastern dip surrounded by a bed of toasted pita bread. Siracha wings are pretty awesome. It actually tastes like buffalo sauce but it had a little bite to it. I don't come here too often, but when I do, I'll just stick to apps, 1 overpriced cocktail and a beer to finish off the night.

My friends and I used to dine occasionally at Chroma. I liked it. Unfortunately, they didn't make it. Alden Park has opened in their spot. We have been there 3 times. First time my chicken was underdone. Pat & I got free dessert. Second time my steak tips were not steak tips. They were some other cut of meat, tough and slightly fatty. Just cause you cut it into that size & shape doesn't mean it's a steak tip. Third time I ordered the flat iron steak. Jen had enjoyed this entree both times we had been there. As a matter of fact, the second time, she said she wanted to lick the plate. I start eating it and I think "This is kinda tough". Before I could relay this to Bette & Jen, the bartender came over (points for his service on this and the first visit). He asks how everything. Jen tells him its tough and not sliced the same. He looks at me & I nod my agreement. Then she says the polenta is also disappointing and I laugh because I am also disappointed. He looks momentarily distressed. Gives Jen a free beer. That's it. The bill for the three of us was $145 before the tip. That's the last money they get out of me. Jen accused me of getting my bad Alden Park juju on her steak. No one had any sympathy for me. Bette & Jen had wanted to go to our fav - East Bay.

I went to this place with my fiancé during a recent trip to Plymouth, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks are well above average - she started off with the sugar plum martini, me with the orange creamsicle martini. Both drinks were tasty and strong. The food is above average too. We split an app of scallops wrapped in bacon over fried pineapple - delicious. For our entrees, we got the wedge salad and the skirt steak. Both were excellent. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and the risotto that came with it was delicious. I have to say I was skeptical of this place, mostly due to its location. However, it is awesome. I highly recommend.

Went for Mother's Day Brunch, they had three seatings 10, noon and 2, we opted for the noon seating. We had to wait until they were ready for the noon reservations but it was such a gorgeous day this was not an issue. Felt the hostess could have done a better job once seating started. They had a great choice of selections to please the whole family. The five in our party all enjoyed the food, the slicing station was excellent with choices of ham, turkey and prime rib. All were fantastic. Felt they missed the mark on the pork roast which was over done and dry. Excellent choice of cheeses and fruits as well as salads. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would have given four stars however we felt there were a couple of missteps. There was slowness to getting drinks at the table, coffee, water, etc. The setup of the buffet table could have been better managed. It went from bagels and English muffins to deserts to salads to the rest of the fixings. Thought this could have been better managed by separating the bagels, English muffins, toasters and deserts to a separate area as the cheese and fruits had been. The buffet table should have been moved away from the wall so two lines could have formed. Having one line created delays and frustration among guest. Serving tray covers should have been removed as there was nowhere to put them once taken off. Lastly Bacon, keep the Bacon tray full.

I went Friday night of Labor Day weekend and I was surprised that it was very easy to get a reservation for 4 no problem. Plymouth center waterfront was probably a nightmare. I had a ruby red grapefruit martini to start and it was delicious. I followed that up with a cucumber vodka martini which was outstanding. We shared the shrimp bruschetta and calamari which were both quite good. The shrimp were perfectly cooked as was the calamari which also had a wonderful spicy kick. I ordered a seafood cioppino like dish. I can't look up the exact name because their menu is not posted online which should be fixed immediately. Two of us got this dish and although it was supposed to be spicy, it wasn't. We asked for some crushed red pepper but that doesn't make up for a lack of spice while cooking. Also, the dish was luke warm, not steaming hot as expected. The seafood was all cooked perfectly. I think you wouldn't be disappointed ordering seafood here. The others in our party had a filet mignon and I believe surf and turf skewers which were both good. We all ordered the "shots" of desserts. I love restaurants that do this because all you really want is a nibble or two of something sweet to end the meal. I had the chocolate mousse and found it too sweet but my friends didn't. We think that our server was new. She didn't come back for drink orders as often as we would have liked also slow on the water refills. We also had a ridiculous amount of dishes and empty glasses that sat too long. It wasn't horrible service by any means, it just could have been so much better. We sat outside which was lovely, great temperature and breezy night and we sat next to the fire pit. Really cute, outdoor set up. There are tables as well as some couches and chairs. Overall, I would go back, especially for that cucumber cocktail.

My wife and I have been showing up more and more at Alden Park and we have enjoyed it every time. A few weeks ago we brought some very close friends to dinner on a Saturday night. I made a reservation and despite a fairly good crowd that was waiting, we were seated on time. Our server, Tim, was excellent. I tried the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale at his suggestion and have enjoyed it many times since. I should note that they have not had the Ale the last several visits but I understand they do intend to offer it again soon. I have challenges trying to purchase this at several local liquor stores so I suspect it is in short supply. Lettuce wraps are my favorite appetizer...I can't help but think I'm eating something healthy :). I've enjoyed the Roasted Cod, Roast Beef Sandwich (removed from the menu as our visit earlier this week and I hope they bring it back), and the new Crispy Chicken (very tasty but the portion was a bit disappointing). We've sat at the bar during our last several visits and have had excellent service and enjoyable meals. On Thursday nights there are acoustic guitar players who have been very good...nice relaxing atmosphere and the volume is perfect for a nice relaxing dinner. If you try it an enjoy it as much as we have, sign up for the Alden Park Card. We've received a number of $10 credits as a reward for our loyalty. They have a new outdoor seating area upgrade in process and will soon have an outdoor firepit and some nice lighting. Might be a nice spot to enjoy a warm evening. Bottom line, a nice relaxing restaurant with good food and good service. Give it a try!

As much as I want to like this place I just cannot. On two different visits in the last four months service was attrocious. The first visit was a late afternoon lunch on an only moderately busy Saturday. There were plenty of open tables. We ordered our appetizers which came within about 15 minutes. We waited the entire time for the drinks though which was unacceptable. Moving one we figured things would improve as the appetizers were reasonably good. Almost an hour later our main dishes arrived. During that time we were visited by the waitress a total of 2 times. We waited 20 minutes for a second glass of wine during this period. The main dish was tasteless but not to terrible. Absolute zero in terms of service. We went back two weeks ago on a whim while shopping in the area. The place was fairly busy with a short wait for a table out front. We decided to grab a drink at the bar which was busy but with 3-4 people working behind the bar and no more than 2-3 customers in addition to us standing for a drink things seemed okay. 17 minutes later the bartenders had never once looked up. They were putting glasses away, performing cleaning tasks, doing something with the napkins but at no time did they look to see if anyone was waiting for a drink. At the 18 minute mark I told the manager to take our name off the list and we were gone. This place cannot decide what it wants to be. Fancy place or a place where I have to wave dollar bills in the face of patrons at the bar to get a drink? Do we need to yell over the backs of people OR will they train their staff to actually look and see if anyone needs anything? The attitude of the staff we were exposed to both times here left something to be desired. Perhaps they'll improve in time or perhaps this is indicative of the the way Alden Park will always operate. Either way we won't go back as we gave this place a shot and apparently our time has no value to them.

I must say Colony Place is blossoming into a nice "lifestyle mall" like Derby Street in Hingham. The addition of Alden Park is making shopping there even more pleasant. If you have been to Abby Park in Milton and liked it, then you most likely will like Alden Park. Not only because their names are substantially similar but I believe there is a very close affiliation between the two restaurants. The food (try the truffle sacchetti and the seared sea scallops) and service were both very good. The restaurant occupies the former Croma Restaurant & Pizzeria space. The interior is hip and modern but still very casual. There were several diners with young children the night we went so I would not hesitate to bring my young daughter here (early dinner, of course). Bar area is also nice and big so it seems like a decent place to grab a drink before dinner.

I love getting drinks at Alden Park. They have a big drink menu that changes with the seasons. Their food is also very good. It gets really busy at the bar though so you sometimes are waiting a little bit be served, but hey that's to be expected!

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my mother and sister. The decor is awesome, the staff was very friendly. Our waiter Tim was so nice and funny he came around enough but didn't hover which is great. I got the Tina melt which was one of the best I've ever had. And great portions! Would highly recommend. Drove from Weymouth to go shopping at the colony place and the stores were horrible. Alden Park was the best experience of the day.

I went there for drink and edded up getting some apps. The cocktails are not as expensive as the apps but the mussels I had were phenominal and there was plenty of them. The bars in plymouth are out of control and noisey. I don't mind heading over here with friends so I can actually hear them talk for a few extra bucks with tasty food.

We made a reservation on a Saturday night online. Arrived at the designated time and were asked to wait for a short time at the bar. We ordered a drink, and waited about 5- 10 minutes and were seated. The atmosphere is a modern but warm decor. Waiter came over quickly. Service was very good, drinks and food arrived quickly. There were a few glitches with the order. We ordered a caesar salad and Fried Rock shrimp, julienne vegetables with a mango salsa and chili sauce appetizer-$11. The shrimp appetizer was very large. Easily could have been split with 4 for an app. It was very good, only suggestion would be that there was not enough sauce or mango salsa for the large amount of shrimp. My husband ordered the skirt steak with risotto and asparagus-$21. He said it was great! I ordered the sesame crusted tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes-$22. I did not want the tuna to be served rare, and asked for it to be cooked past this stage. The tuna arrived rare, so I sent it right back and it was fixed very quickly. The tuna was delicious. Then I had a chance to taste the potatoes, which were cold. Rather than send my dinner back again I asked the waiter to bring me a side of potatoes, which he quickly did. They were lukewarm. When delivering the check the waiter said that the management had comped a drink for the glitches in our order. We will definitely go back, based on the food and service.

Our server was very nice. The bread she brought over was really good! I had the Cool Breeze drink. (tequila-based) It was very good. The food came out in no time. I had lobster ravioli with shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp weren't very big and didn't have a lot of flavor, but overall the dish was fine. My parents enjoyed their dishes as well. For dessert, I had the house special cherry cheesecake. It was delectable. I'd go back!

Alden Park Bar & Grill - Plymouth, MA - 5/12/2015 White Cheddar Focaccia Bread house-made butter. Served just above room temperature and quite good... I would have preferred the butter a bit more softened but at least it not butter packets... Next up... Grilled romaine hearts with chunks of bacon, roasted cherry tomatoes, shaved parmesan cheese and bleu cheese dressing sprinkled with herb focaccia croutons. Nicely plated and just the right amount of grill "smoky flavour"... At my server's recommendation I had the Rib-eye Filet. When I tell you it was perfectly prepared I do mean perfect! The exact definition of medium with it's glistening pink center oozing out the au jus... Served over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes infused with cheese, bacon, red wine reduction, garlic herbed butter and spiced fried onion rings. Wow!, this was great! FYI... They don't really update their online menu but because the food was so good I didn't really care. I received a complimentary small dessert online for checking in- a chocolate mousse that was Devine and finished it all off with my signature cappuccino... This restaurant is located in an outdoor mall but do not let that dissuade you from coming here. The food and my server Louie was great. I'll be back at some point... So many great restaurants... so little time...

I've had dinner with my wife a few times at Alden Park and it's usually very good. Last night we had dinner at the bar. The bartenders were Karen and Christine. They were really great. Very attentive and made the evening nice for my wife and me. Alden Park has a cool atmosphere. It's a modern, hip place but doesn't take itself TOO seriously. The bar is friendly and its a nice place. The owners even located Alden Park close to our home. Very considerate of them. Drinks- I had the burned Mai Tai -yowsza ! Excellent drink. My wife had the Boston Ice Tea and then the banana nut cake martini. Excellent cocktails ! Food- blue cheese rib eye surprisingly good. A nice sized entree over mashed potatoes. Well prepared and delicious Tuna with vegetables-my wife said that it was excellent Dessert cheesecake - we shared a piece and it was good. Highly recommend Alden Park

We always have a great experience at A P. The wait staff is friendly, courteous and check back regularly. I'm a vodka snob. They carry a potato vodka, so their Black Russians are very good. My wife loves martinis and they have a large selection. Excellent!! Terrific menu and do a fair job of accommodating our allergies. We had a great server last night by the name of Kylie. She was awesome. A classy atmosphere. Casual but not stuffy. T- tops on guys would look out of place, but jeans or shorts are fine. They have a terrific patio with a fireplace.

Shopping with my sister, we stumbled upon Alden Park in between stores, and we were pleased with the choice to have dinner there. (9/5/15) Our waitress was hysterical & awesome, she was personable and gave true recommendations on the food. ALden Park catered a brunch i was at this past weekend and it was anything but good. The french toast was cold and the home fries were like eating a raw potato. I don't know what brunch means to them but it was a plain breakfast with lunch part.....i left very hungry......

After several visits to this restaurant, I think I can say that -- as hard as they try -- they have been unable to match the quality and consistency of the chains that surround this place. We visited Sunday for lunch. The lettuce wrap appetizer was great. But that is where the greatness ended. The waiter made recommendations for mahi tacos and roast beef sandwich. The service was dreadfully slow. The soft tacos were laid flat on the plate in their own juices, and the "toasted coconut" looked like shredded stuff from a $2 bag. The grilled sandwich was stone cold missing the advertised horseradish, which we had to ask for "on the side" once we were able to get the server's attention. This is our third visit, and consistent with earlier experiences. I think it's a local bar trying to be a great restaurant. Doesn't measure up to every other option in the area. Won't repeat.

I'm going to give this place 3 stars because the service and ambiance of the place were great. The food was good but really pricey in my estimation. My husband and I are foodies and have no problem spending good money for good food. However, I don't think we will be coming back any time soon. There are places that serve better food for better prices.

Okay this at sound silly but I love their knives! They are molded to stand on edge and not get the table of plate messy John C. (Smiley) was great very informative and personable but never in the way. The bus boy was never intrusive but always on top of clearing things away (even changed the shell bowl half way thru the appetizer) We decided to to the appetizer special of smokey mussels. In a sauce with Smoked bacon, onions, tomatoes and Rebel IPA (Sam Adams) it was really good They had 2 choices of Resling wine (a Washington state and Germany) the beer selection was good. For dessert we went with the small bites to get a little bit of everything but split and entre w extra sides everything was good. Another solid win. We'll be back

Very solid location. We ate there for Easter brunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The setup was very nice, and laid out very well. Since it was a buffet brunch, the wait staff wasn't extremely attentive. I would expect better service, even with a buffet. Especially considering the required 20% gratuity on all checks. The room wasn't overly loud even with the open floor plan, and the bar right behind our table. Overall a good location, and I plan to return for a regular meal.

This was the best meal I've had in a long time-if not ever. Everything was delicious, so we kept ordering more! Our waitress, Taylor, was extremely friendly and prompt and she made great recommendations for both food and drinks. We will DEFINITELY be coming back and recommending this place to everyone we know!

Found this online. We had the crab cake burger. Nice and fine crab with a great taste. Had the fish and chips as well. Cooked well, taste was on par with other fish and chips. Our waiter was slightly overbearing and fake but attentive enough and nice. He recommended the squash soup and it was fabulously smooth and hot on our throats. We also topped it off with a peanut butter shot as well as a carrot cake shot. Couldn't decide which was better. Solid 4/5. Might go back if I'm out this way again.

My husband and I took a quick day vacation to Plymouth and saw that Alden Park had good reviews so we decided to check it out. We had a very nice dinner and really enjoyed this place! Nick, our server, was super friendly and helpful in helping us decide what to eat (and encouraging us to try new things). The food was great! We got calamari and the corn/crab chowder for appetizers and both were delicious. The calamari was huge for two of us. For entrees, I got the sesame salmon which was pretty good. My husband got a combo with steak, scallops, and lobster tail and it was delicious. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing dinner, great service, great atmosphere and food. If we're in the area again, I would definitely come back.

I've been to this restaurant on several occasions now and the quality of the cuisine is consistently delicious. Last night we decided to to sit outside on the patio for dinner where mosquitos and mohitos were the theme (hey, if you sit outside, there's going to be insects). I ordered the vegetable risotto with scallops. The scallops where large, the vegetables plentiful, and the risotto creamy and delicious. I would definitely order this entrée again. The portion size was a touch on the large size, but perfect if you plan on taking some home to eat later, which I did. My mohito was a bit hard to drink since it had cucumbers, and therefore cucumber seeds in it, which kept getting stuck in my straw. Easily rectified by removal of said beverage apparatus! Otherwise the cocktail was a little uninspired, but I suspect that was more the fault of patron selection than of bar keep skill. My date had a the baked cod. While the consistency and cook of the fish was great, it leaned towards the bland (probably just missing some seasoning during preparation). The accompanying tasty pesto risotto went a long way to make up for the shortcoming of the fish, but based upon the overall dish, she probably wouldn't order it again. There was a blueberry martini invited to the party as well. It was sizeable and delicious, but maybe a bit too sweet for her. A matter of personal taste. Our server Louie was accommodating and pleasant, the ambiance and atmosphere relaxing and well maintained, and we will continue to visit this establishment in the future.

Was here a few weeks ago & had some of the best lobster bisque ever so we drive 25 miles to come back. I've been actually thinking about having the bisque for a few days. So, here we are, 12:30pm, & the waitress comes back to the table after taking our order, "I'm sorry, we are out of bisque". The siracha "wings" were not wings, they were chicken fingers and served luke warm, as was the chowder I tried instead of the bisque, which I returned becaus it tasted like cream of potato soup! WHAT THE... It's 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon! No excuse for this!! Won't be coming back here again!!

Upscale city like atmosphere. Solid beer rotation on draft. $5 app bar menu (sweet and sour boneless chick is the best). Overall, food is great quality and attention to details/flavor. $1.50 per shrimp/oysters everyday 4-6pm.

Went here with my wife for dinner the food was so excellent and the services by Nick S. our waiter. Everything was so excellent that we came back the next day for lunch to see Nick again. All i have to say is best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. My wife wants to have a vow renewal just to have a reception here. Keep up the good work Nick S. You rock.

The cool relaxed vibe of Alden Park made for the perfect backdrop to the splendid array of dishes that was to follow. The vegetable risotto was creamy and rich, and the crispy tofu lettuce wraps were a great vegetarian appetizer option. The food came out timely and hot, and the waitress was very knowledgeable on the wine selections. The only negative was a miscommunication between the waitress and I, that resulted in her bringing out a chicken lettuce wrap appetizer rather than tofu. She came off as a little combative about the whole thing, but the issue was resolved, and the chicken lettuce wraps were taken off the bill. I would recommend Alden Park for people perhaps trying to avoid the crowded restaurants of Plymouth Center and the waterfront. The vibe is good, and the food is superb.

We went in after a crossfit class on Feb 5th about 7pm with 10 women. Our bowling reservation got mixed up so we decided to go out to dinner instead and landed at Alden Park which we have all been to before. None of us can ever complain about food or service. BUT the service this night from Nick was OUTSTANDING. Above and beyond, funny and personable, he made the proper food suggestions and drink suggestions. We had one girl in shorts and he brought out a blanket for her. At the end of dinner he brought us out a Molten Lava cake for the bday girl! We are always nervous walking into a restaurant with that many in a party and not having reservations. Nick was fantastic. OH and FYI- Molten Lava cake was the best I have ever had. The cookie on the bottom was key!

A fantastic time with Nick, a great guy who is a warm and funny server. The combination of a great patio, great prices and service made our gathering memorable. Nick really made things flow with frequent visits, and the kitchen churned out our food orders over a span of 3 hours. This really is a great spot with comfortable seats and a sweet fire to add to the ambiance. Food was fantastic as were the draft beers.

Went in with a party of five during the lunch hours and the restaurant was pretty much empty. After we were seated pleasantly, it took 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. As we were ordering our lunches we were informed that they were out of, Reubens, steak an cheese, pastrami sandwich, and out of baguettes! This eliminated almost half the menu. After settling on our second or third choice, our food took another 20-25 minutes to come out and everyone ordered sandwiches. The Cuban was pretty tasty but came in soggy bread, the turkey club wrap was ok but the Gouda cheese was overwhelming and the burger was the best out of everything. Not a great showing

True to the reviews and yelp info, it is kid friendly. We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday night, and while the place appeared empty, we were seated at a section hidden from the view of the front door, near the kitchen. It was not too busy but we certainly weren't alone. The music was good, but I was starting to find the speed of service at the long end of the spectrum of acceptable waits for a group with young children. Once the food arrived, I forgot about my annoyance because we were amazed. Everything was good, and worth the slightly higher price. The lobster, steak, burgers, chowder and chicken fingers - all delicious.

Oh Alden Park, where do I begin?!?! What a great atmosphere. Whats else........ Cold food, OK drink. I have given you two tries. Lunch and dinner. I went on a Tuesday after having a meeting at Beth Israel. I sat at the bar. No conversation was had with the bar tender and myself beside what I was drinking and eating. A not so cheerful girl brought my food to me. Literally just put it down on the bar and walked away to seat people. I believe she was some type of authority figure by her carriage and demeanor. After realizing it was cold I just asked for my check. I couldn't bear it any longer. I believe you have some work to do.

My local "go to" place. Everything is good to great, very flavorful and different. Lobster Mac and Cheese, burgers and the Rustic Grilled cheese ( it is not your mothers grilled cheese) will cover lunch and I usually go with a dinner special. Very nice bar, your not going to see guys in wife beaters or women in sweat pants here. Not all dressed up either. You have to at least try this place. Drinks are a little pricey $10-15.

This is a great new restaurant. I was lucky enough to get to sample their menu. I loved the decor of restaurant- it is a gorgeous blue palate. We tried the mussels which were amazing. The broth for the mussels was amazingly delicious-buttery. I am not a big fan of seafood and I LOVED these mussels. I also tried the goat cheese and beets salad which I also loved a lot because there were deep fried breaded goat cheese balls, pecans and beets. The tuna tartare was delicious too, it was paired with sliced avocado. I ordered the statler chicken dish with goat cheese whipped potatoes. The chicken was succulent and very tasty. I am a huge goat cheese fan, so I was in love with the mashed potatoes. Pretty much everything that I tried was delicious and writing this review just made me hungry...so I am going to go eat now! peace!

I just tried this restaurant last week for a Friends and Family night. This is surely going to be Plymouth's next best restaurant. The decor is calming and airy. I just wanted to curl up and stay all night in my booth. My favorite part of my meal was the mussels. The mussels were bathed in the tastiest broth I have ever had...I was practically lapping it up after we finished all the mussels. The Truffled Lobster Mac 'N' Cheese and Seafood Fra Diavolo was amazing and the portion size was huge for both. Save room for dessert because their chocolate cake and Banana Bread Pudding is to die for!

Dined here recently during their Tequila and Tapas event. The event was held outside on their patio which is larger than I expected. It has both tables and chairs as well as some outdoor sofas and love seats - all surrounding a beautiful fire pit in the middle of a small pool. Started off with a Don Julio margarita at the bar which was perfectly blended. We were then brought outside to our tables and given a menu which explained the 5-course meal we were about to enjoy - as well as the 5 different Patron drinks that would be served with each course. Both the food and drinks were a total success - everything was delicious, and the service was great. I'm hoping they make this an annual event!

Went for to this restaurant for the first time last night because I had a certificate through restaurant.com . The restaurant was decorated very nicely inside for the holidays. The table they sat us at was very small, we ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer to start. We ordered the lobster dip, it was good (but not amazing). They also brought bread/oil. We barely had enough room on the table with all these items. We had to maneuver things around the table just so we would have enough room to eat. Both myself and my friend ordered the filet mignon, with were priced at $28. When the meal came it looked very nice presentation wise. There was fat on both pieces of our steak. We found that the steak at Longhorn was better than these pieces of filet mignon! The waitress also kept coming by to see if we were done, which left us feeling very rushed. She checked my friend 3 times to see if he was done. We ended the meal with dessert, we got small treats and all of the 4 we got were very good. I would rate this 3 stars. I believe it was overpriced for the quality of food that was served. The tables are definitely too small and I felt very rushed. If I didn't have the restaurant.com certificate I would eat here again as it is too overpriced for the quality of food/service.

With reservations we were still seated at a high-top in the bar - disappointed. Quality and variety of food were good. The timing was an issue as was the tiny table we were seated at. No room on table for the appetizers after being served drinks with bread. The main course came and we were half way through our appetizer. The food deliverer (not our waiter) didn't relish our request to take it back and to box up our appetizer so we could have room on the tablefor the dinner. Did I mention there was no room on the table - they have to do something about the tiny tables - either don't server dinner or get larger tables. This was mentioned to our waiter who didn't seem to care - and didn't spend a lot of time checking up on us either. Overall the food was good, the bar area was LOUD and the service was not so great. There are better restaurants in Plymouth - not sure I would return anytime soon.

Snobby, and over priced, humorless and rude bald bartender. In this economy I'm sure he will be looking for a job soon. Probably wishes he could work at a real classy establishment like 9 Park or Drink. Don't waste your time or money here.

I LOVE this place and will go whenever I'm in the area. Everything I have had as been phenomenal. The outdoor seating is perfect on summer nights, too. The "Grilled Caesar Salad" is a must-have appetizer, and I have never had anything off the menu that I didn't like. There are creative cocktails and the service is quick.

I came to Alden Park with my girlfriend to take her our for her birthday dinner. Our waiter, Nick, was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the menu and different ingredients used in all the dishes. He was spot on with everything we ordered, from our drinks, to out appetizers, main entries, and that wicked delicious dessert. Definitely ask for him when you come here. Not only was his smart on the menu, he was fun to talk to and not overbearing like waiters I've had at similar high-end restaurants!

I came here for Jess' detox2retox yoga class and brunch! First there is yoga on the gorgeous patio and Jess gave everyone a yummy cucumber water to stay hydrated. The class was awesome and any level of yogi could attend and feel great during the practice. Jess was funny and everyone bonded through the practice. We went inside for brunch after and Nick took care of us. He was very personable and quick even with the large group of us. The detox2retox included a yummy cocktail (Bloody Mary, regular or flavored mimosas, bellinis, sangria, etc!) and a breakfast that was so tasty it was hard to tell it was healthy! Definitely a recommend and bring your friends for an ever better morning out!

Just did the yoga brunch. One of the best experiences. Our server Nick was amazing. Went above and beyond 100 times for our group. The bartender, Brian, made the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. I can't believe I didn't know this existed until now! Can't recommend this enough!

I have always wondered about this place. After dropping by Game Stop to pick up a gift, I decided to stop for a drink and some apps. Review for the bar only. Cool decor with a central bar. Enough lighting to see but very soft with lots of earth tones to give a warm feeling. I thought this was going to be a quick visit as the bartender was playing a game of ignore the new customer. This drives me crazy when they walk by, make eye contact and keep going. As I was getting ready to pack up stakes and declare and Epic Fail, she greeted me. Ordered the house cab (had never had it but apparently google reports it as Sonoma based) and the sliders. $5 apps before six is a cool deal. The wine was OK. The sliders were great. They did a nice job cooking them and leaving some moisture while providing a great flavor. The bun was superb and lightly toasted to add a textural crunch. A limited review and felt their $9 glass house wine was a total ripoff.

While in Plymouth on a business trip, my collegues and I decided to stop here after work for dinner. The atmosphere tries too hard to be something from Manhattan, which, given the immediate location as well as genereal vicinity, felt off; it's near a GameStop and Cold Stone Creamery. The decor It seemed like it wants to be upscale, yet modern, yet casual, but can't make up its mind. I would have taken pictures, but I had the pervading sense it'd be frowned upon even though there were a handful of people. We were greeted upon entry and the three of us chose to sit at the "high top" - the area to the right (if you're walking into the building). The bar, which was very well-laid out and inviting sits in the center of the area. There's limited outdoor seating, a more "private" room to the right of the entrance, and seating in the back by the kitchen. The menu is very streamlined and well-laid out. However, the menu is where Alden Park's problem lies. It's more expensive than it ought to be for most selections. I settled in on the "Land N Sea" which is per their menu: "center-cut Angus filet, sauteed spinach, potato & leek cake, garlic butter sauteed shrimp, demi-glace" for $32 (not $30 as the online menu shows) and $4.95 for a Hieneken. The food comes and while the presentation is as impressive as the price, unfortunately that's really about it. Now, maybe it's just me, but when the menu says shrimp is part of the entree, I expected more than two that were average in size. The taste was mediocre at best. The garlic butter taste was barely detectable. The center cut Angus filet was cooked to order and portion size was exactly what I expected. It wasn't hot, but not cold either which makes me think mine was made before my co-workers' order. The meat was tender, seasoned well, no fat or gristle, and it was tasty, so at least that wasn't a wash. Below the shrimp and Angus filet was a rather thick bed of sauteed spinach which was slightly over cooked. The foundation consisted of the potato and leek cake; generous portion given, but it had absolutely no seasoning giving it a dry, boring taste. Service was very attentive by our server who made sure she checked in on us frequently, but not often enough to be a pest nor MIA to the point you have to send out a search team. Overall I think you pay, literally, for the illusion of being in a more upscale establishment as the food is actually average even if it is very palpable. If you want an overpriced experienced in a very nice atmosphere, then Alden Park may be just the ticket you're looking for, but for more cost-to-value conscious consumers, you can do better elsewhere.

Tried this place for the first time the other day with hubs based on other Yelp reviewers and was not disappointed. We also had Nick and he was great. As noted by others, he encouraged us to try new things and we did. Hubs had the swordfish with scallops and i had the Black & Blue steak wrap. Both excellent. And the lobster dip was gone in seconds!! The Raspberry mimosa was the best I've ever had. Definitely check this place out. Can't wait to go back!!!

I loved Alden Park when it first opened, but sadly I think it's gone way down hill. I had to write a review, because after my last experience I will not be returning. I will pay for the pricier dinner if I know I will get good food. I can't complain about the service. Their service is great. The food last time I went was not. My meat was overcooked, my husband's pasta was watery and the lettuce in our salad tasted a bit old. The mashed potatoes, which normally are great tasted way too seasoned and buttery to the point of practically being uneatable. I hate when this happens to restaurants. They start off great and then seem to not care about their food anymore because they are bringing a lot of people in. I just can't justify spending that much on a meal when there is a chance it will be that mediocre/gross, so no more Alden Park for me :(

Mixed bag. Burgers were good, stay away from pulled pork. Waiter was over the top in trying to up-sell at every chance he got and when we only wanted to order a simple Saturday lunch he disappeared and service fell to the floor. Have had good experiences here in the past but will not be hurrying back soon

Not only was my steak and cheese sub the best I've ever had, but the service was incredible. If you go there definitely ask for Nick, he is the best! Super attentive and friendly! Love this place. Very contemporary decor, but in a comfortable way. I've been twice and the service has been excellent. Had awesome crabcakes and a roasted Caesar salad, that was excellent. Pulled pork quesadillas were delicious as well. (we weren't very hungry, so these were just appetizers this night). My husband also had a corn and crab chowder that was good, but a little bland and could have used a bit more crab. Got the Ruby Red Cosmo, too. Yum! The time we went before we had full meals with a larger group and everyone raved about the food. The coolest thing here are the small bites desserts. A little bigger than a shot glass, you can get 1 of 6 different desserts for $2. or a sampler of 4 or 6. Just enough sweet after a big meal.

I had stopped in here on a Tuesday night in October and chose a seat at the bar since I was alone during a business trip. It didn't seem to busy with about 10 others at the bar and just a few tables occupied. I was greeted promptly by the bartender and took my time looking over their more than adequate dinner and cocktail menus. I started with a California Grapevine which was a light drink but not weak- seems like it would be a great beverage for a warm summer night. After a couple sips of my drink I elected to go with the roasted cod on a bed a butternut squash risotto. Although the dish comes with asparagus, I swapped it out with a cup of their corn and crab chowder which was good albeit lacking in the crab department. My main course came out about 30 minutes after I ordered it and I was greeted by a large piece of perfectly breaded and prepared cod. The risotto was pretty good as well and although I wouldn't have thought of pairing it with the cod, they worked well together. As I was finishing my meal the bar completely filled up with some patrons standing around waiting for people to leave the bar even though there was still plenty of tables available. The bartender was visibly overwhelmed and two hosts and/or managers came behind the bar to help her. I had to wait quite a while before getting to order my second drink- a pomegranate appletini which was a hit. After finishing that, I had to wait about 15 minutes before I was able to close my tab. I was surprised to see that my drinks had been comp'ed (presumably because of the extended waits), which was pretty sweet. I really liked the set up of the bar here and the low lighting worked well. And although it became a beehive of activity later, it never got to what I considered to be too loud which was another plus. I would definitely recommend Alden Park for anyone looking for a good meal and drinks in a nice atmosphere and will certainly be back if I should find myself in Plymouth again.

We celebrated a very special occasion last night and the staff at Alden Park could not have done a better job. From the opening discussion with Brian (manager) to our wonderful serving staff to each and every dish, it was a perfect night. We were a large group and wanted the menu option as opposed to the function menu, I can honestly say there were at least 14 different entrees on the table and everyone was very pleased. We came as far as Newton and Norfolk and it was worth the drive.
