The most terrible food ever. The eggs were made of rubber, the toast was burnt and the service horrible. DO NOT GO!

Sunday brunch became worrisome nearly right off the bat... Our rule for first visits to a place like this is to have the most classic American breakfast we can - this kind of fare should be like clockwork for such a place, so it's a reliable gauge. we both ordered eggs, homefries, toast and coffee, and, my companion added bacon to his plate (I don't eat pork). -the silverware was wrapped in a napkin at my seat. The napkin was dirty! (How did that even end up at the table? Gross.) -coffee was fine, thankfully. -their homefries come with or without onion. I'm partial to onion on my homefries, so I opted in - the onion was barely cooked, meanwhile, my potatoes were so over done they were crumbly. Dammit! I love homefries, too... ...oh, and, I found some random pieces of ham in my potatoes! I certainly could have mentioned my dietary limitations, but I'm not used to seeing meat in homefries. -my love ordered a glass of water with his meal. the first glass came with something that looked like a dead fruit fly in it. when we requested another one, the waitress basically stuttered an apology and got a new one back to the table in about 5 minutes. considering our proximity to the drink fountain, I'm a little surprised it took that long, but that's the least of my concerns. -worst of all was the staff. generally, they appeared to be miserable and cold. they made contact only when absolutely necessary. In fact, even when we pointed out the ham to our waitress she barely reacted to it. I got no more than a short, flat "oh, sorry about that.". Ah! Whatever happened to sincerity and sound customer service? She even neglected to tell us she had put our check on the table already! Another waitress pointed it out when we inquired about payment, "It's turned over right there - kind of looks like a napkin!" (Ha, thanks...) We waited like 10 minutes before that even happened. This was discouraging. I feel my $15 was totally wasted. I could have gone to JD's on North Washington Street...gah.

Nothing exceptional about this breakfast place, but the breakfast was good and service was good. Just very basic breakfast and very ordinary, but as we all know on Sunday morning sometimes all you want is eggs served quickly and without any fuss or any culinary twists. So I enjoyed my breakfast and will absolutely vist D&D again. I found their coffee to be way above average and the Breakfast potatoes also to be exceptional but be sure to ask for the onions with them. On a side note you have to go to visit the fantastic little country store next door on your way out.

We used to eat here all the time. The food was good and very inexpensive. But over the years, while the waitstaff seems to be the same...the food prices have gone up and the quality has seem to have gone down. I'm not sure what's happened...and I can hope that things have changed for the better. But it's just not as good as it used to be. But, if you go, always take a moment to look at the specials board when you walk in because they have things on there that you won't see on the menu. So you need to take a moment and look. They do have all the coffee you can drink...which is good on a Sat morning after tipping a few back. And they are good with kids as well...so you can take everyone without worring if it's a good idea or not. The place doesn't have a TON of seating...so if you go on a Sat morning, you might have a bit of a wait. But they have always gotten the food cooked and on the table pretty quickly.

You've got to be out of your effin mind to eat this garbage. Truly garbage, as in; rotten food that needs to be hauled away. Ordered an omelet with green peppers. The peppers were rancid and tasted of vinegar. When I informed the waitress she said they don't use vinegar in their omelet...ahhh...ok. Fact: food that has spoiled is being used. I took one bite out of 3 peppers to be certain. Paid my bill in full, left 15% & will be certain never, ever to let anyone I care about eat this garbage. If you're reading this, know that I care about you and advise you to run!

typical american diner ambience. I do not understand the lack of reviews. The food is diner breakfast you except, nothing fancy but nothing bad either. Service was prompt. Good for kids/family. I ordered a meat lovers omelette and wifey ordered cinnamon french toast(humongous bread btw). Food was satisfying for both our appetite and the palette. I say give it a shot.

is there a way to give negative points? it started with the awkward entrance where we were sat with a point of the finger and head nod. the waitress with her Burger King hat on brought us menus and waters and that was about it. we spent about 25 minutes after receiving water waiting for her to take our order. she cleaned tables and seated a few more tables and took their order before even looking at us again. so we set a ten minute time limit once we noticed the waitress blatantly ignoring us and we ended up walking out to go to breakfast down the street. just to paint the picture a little better there were only three other tables filled in the entire restaurant and she continued to walk past us to help others. never ever again! and the place was not clean or welcoming. very disappointing!

Went for breakfast, I have been here quite a few times. This place (over the last couple of trips) has really gone down hill. Food is less than adequate. And the service has followed suit. Wait staff did not seem to know which tables were theirs. Took them ten minutes for someone to stop by and ask if I had been waited on. Then a additional five to bring me a coffee and take my order. Food came out in a relative good time, as said earlier, but really not that good. The waitress never came back to ask about the meal or ask me if I would like more coffee. Meanwhile, the owner was cleaning the tables and resetting. He did so as if he really didn't want to be there. Tables were cleaned haphazardly and set up sloppily. Not sure if I'll return. Too many other places around.

We have been going here for years and have always had a positive expereince. They know what they are doing and provide consistently good food. Nothing fancy, but definitely satisfying. The waitstaff is so friendly and are always pleasant to talk to. The prices are reasonable too.

Food was OK. Had an omelette. Egg was cooked right and not greasy. Cheese wasnt melted enough for my tastes. Most meals like omelettes (about $7) do not come with home fries. I was really surprised to see that since that is the norm at all other breakfast spots I go to. I won't go back just because of this. I didnt feel like I got enough food for the $. Service was nice though.

Breakfast is hard to screw up. D & D's breakfast is your basic breakfast menu. The dining room is dated with mostly regulars. The service was fine. Not bad, just 2 stars. No real desire to go back.
