Fast seating for a single on a Monday evening. Service is very good with multiple staff bringing ordered food as it's ready. Steaks are tasty, cooked to order, and fairly priced. Two sides come with each entree - one can be more or less healthy with one's choices! I'm on the slow carb diet so did a salad and mixed veggies. Only drawback - and it's true of every one of these franchise's restaurants - is they are very noisy. There's an open bar, loud music, and loud conversation. It is what it is!

Well, my girlfriend recommended this place for her Birthday. She said they have good steak. When we walked in and was ready to get seated by a hostess I saw on the back of her shirt and it says " I Love My Job", so I asked her if she really loves her job. She stated, no it's all a lie. This makes me question as to why you would make your employees where these shirts, and pretty much forcing them to love there job. And say it. Ok, let's continue. First of all I have to say our waitress "named Allie" is amazing. She is the most caring and funny waitress I have been around. I ordered the 20 oz sirloin with sautéed mushrooms and French fries. My girlfriend ordered the 6 oz sirloin and shrimp combo, with veggies and smashed potatoes. Now time to try the food. I always like my steak cooked "medium well". Oh my god, it was cooked just the way I like it. And my girlfriends was cooked the same as well. Well done to the cooks in the kitchen. At this point, one of the shift managers came over "named Steph" she was sweet as pie and so kind to all her guests. Here are my bullet points for Texas Roadhouse #119 : don't have shirts that say "We love our job" on the back, cause I asked and they said it's a lie. We are forced to wear it. : if you want to have great steak, I do recommend Texas Roadhouse store #119. : For great service, Allie was hands the best waitress I have ever had. : Any questions please call me at 978-609-2807 or email me at rockstar.com@comcast.net

Normally this is one of favorite places. Disappointed today. They skimped on the cheese for the cheese fries; tips were a bit fatty and under cooked. Hoping it's just because it's a holiday weekend.

I ordered a group lunch at 11:30 on the dot and asked that it be ready for pick up at 12:30 so my associates would have their lunch at 1. After standing around for 32 minutes (along with the two hosts who refused to assist or do anything outside of the realm of looking for tables, I finally received my food at 1 on the dot. No wonder the parking lot is always full, it takes them 1.5 hours to cook 2 steaks 2 chicken fried chickens 2burgers and a kabob...extremely unhappy with my experience here.

I've refrained from sharing MANY times in the past because my daughters really enjoy eating here. Unfortunately today's lunch was the deal breaker. The service is frequently terrible but they usually put out a decent plate. The 19 year old server calling us "honey" the entire time was annoying enough but her failure to get any of our orders correct was nonsense. The female supervisor, who came to our table when I received my bacon cheeseburger without bacon has made this trip many times before. She interacts with the customers as a chore not because she cares. Thanks for still charging me for the bacon I never received, by the way.

I always go there and it's usually for its warm bread and cinnamon butter... The place is so welcoming and there's peanuts everywhere you go..

Wasn't super amazing but good and reliable for a national chain. What we love is the military discount of 30%. We just roll that into a better tip for our waitress but it is a very nice discount when many places don't have one or only do 10 percent. Friendly and personable staff. Does get pretty loud there and the parking lot is pretty crappy but I'd go back, and often.

The food is usually awesome. I've had some bad meals here. Give me a ribeye and some ribs and I'm happy... We usually don't go because of the loud music yelling and hollerin. It's just annoying when you're eating or trying to talk.

This place always seems to draw a crowd. Be sure to use their Call Ahead option to try to get a table a bit quicker. Food is about what you expect. Steaks are decent and a fair cut of Sirloin for the price. Enough sides to please just about anyone. Service has always been great. Energetic servers and of course some line dancing! Biggest complaint... Cleanliness. Of course there are peanut shells. That's not the problem. Their bathrooms are atrocious. My last visit was 2 hours after they opened for the day and the bathroom was obviously not cleaned. Yuck!!

Food is always good everytime but the service is what is giving this review 3 stars. I have been here several times and the wait staff seems to be a majority of younger kids who are not very experienced. Good drinks and the food is typical for a restaurant chain.

This is a great place, even for a chain restaurant. I'm not usually particularly fond of chain restaurants. The service here is very friendly. We had a very attentive waiter named, the Chief. I hope he's our waiter next time. The food is delicious. My husband loves their steak and their sides. You can pick out which steak you get while you're waiting. It was cooked perfectly. I had the fish and chips, yum. I also have to say, they have the best tartar sauce.

Tonight was my first time to the Methuen,MA road house, but I have to say it won't be my last. From start to finish my server, Chief, was considerate, professional, and on point. The food was great, but the real driver behind me even bothering to write a review was the excellent service. Keep it up!

I usually have great things to say about Texas Roadhouse. but, this was the worst experience ever. I ordered a to go order of prime rib last Monday. My wife picked it up since I can not drive. They reviewed the order and it looked perfect on the outside. I ordered Medium. when the order got home it was a end cut ugh. So I called and they said when ever it was convenient. they would redo the order at no charge. I though that sounded fare. So tonight she went back and got the redo order. at the Restaurant they reviewed the order and it was discovered they forgot the salad. they added the salad and when the order arrived at home it was too RARE to eat. It looked fine in the restaurant when the reviewed the order. which is a great idea. except it you ordered Medium and the review it so quick. it would be easy to miss whether it was medium or rare. When I drove 20 min to return it. I was greeted by someone who assured me I would be getting a new meal. I explained please do not just recook what I brought back. she said no way.... well when I got home any one who knows how to cook. could tell it was put in the microwave and was the same piece I brought back. one side was Medium but the back was dark brown... ugh. I was so angry with this restaurant. so I tried to cool off and then went back. .The person who greeted me said they try to keep customers happy but with food cost so high.. I guess this is trying to explain why it was put in the microwave.. I received my third prime rib and when I got into my car and reviewed it...IT is the fattiest piece of meat I have every seen... I guess they do not want to keep customers. I have no more patience to go back and argue. The front end works very hard to make it right. but, ONE person can not greet, cook and fix everything. This was not a team. I felt like one person was working extremely hard to fix it. but, when it got to the back to cook it.. they do not care.. This is too bad, Because when my family comes from out of town to visit they always want to go here to eat. but, I will have to find another steak house. they had three chances to make it right. and a Sunday night was not too busy. I did notice I was not the only person complaining about their to go orders.

Pretty good when you want a steak o some steak tips. There bread with cinnamon butter is AMAZING!!!!! The reason we frequent this place is because our 9 yr old son loves and 4 yr old daughter loves to go because she gets to crack open peanuts. We do love this place though!!!

Wow, how do they make such delicious food and sell it at actually reasonable prices?? I couldn't believe it! Two entrees (country fried sirloin, "road kill" 10oz sirloin), an appetizer (the cactus onion), and a sweet iced tea for $30. Fiance loved the horseradish mayo dip that came with the onion and I loved their steak sauce. So much better than A1 (but our server asked if I wanted A1 instead, very polite). Service was great too, our server was friendly and asked all the right questions to make sure we had everything we wanted. If you wanted to, you could go up to the counter and choose which steak you wanted from the ones on display. If we are in town again we are definitely stopping by.

My wife and I stopped in, both craving steak. We've been to this Texas Roadhouse in the past, and we're pleased. They did not disappoint us on this visit either. We were immediately served soft, warm, fresh rolls with a flavored butter which we devoured in record time and were immediately offered more, which we accepted. Nice start. My wife had the 12oz ribeye while I went with the 16oz prime rib. Both were cooked as requested, medium rare. With two sides, she went with the caesar salad and mashed potatoes while I went with the simple garden salad with blue cheese dressing and a baked potato. My wife enjoyed her steak and real mashed potatoes, and came away wishing she ordered the next steak size up. My salad was served chilled, and the blue cheese dressing was very chunky and flavorful. I don't eat potatoes much anymore, and miss them terribly :) So it was important that the baked potato did not disappoint. It didn't. Nice and hot, swimming in butter, cooked perfectly throughout. I was happy. The star of the show, the prime rib, was cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth delicious, and very nicely seasoned. We both really enjoyed our steaks. Our server was terrific, very cordial, and always there when we needed him. I will not say that these were the best steaks we've ever had. But if you were to ask me to pick my favorite of the area steak chains based on taste, value, and over all dining experience, Texas Roadhouse wins.

Knowing the Texas Roadhouse is so packed every time we drive by, we thought we'd give it a try. First of all, let me say, if you're looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the place for you. Even if you don't mind a little noise, this is not the place for you. There's a lot of hootin' and hollerin' and its quite a loud place. As you walk in, you see a huge case full of hand cut meats. I'm thinking, Wow this is really going to be good! We sat down, ordered drinks, and decided what we would get for dinner. I chose the 6 oz Sirloin and the hubby the 16 oz Ribeye. I gathered the concept was similar to Outback's, and I love the Outback's Sirloin, so this would be OK to order. Our meals finally came. My sirloin was very tender...like mushy tender. Then I figured it out real quick. It was marinated. Overly marinated. The hubby said his was very tender too. After he ate a few more bites, he said I think you're right this is marinated, because mine is mushy too. Don't get me wrong, I like tender steak. But I don't want mushy steak. Then I started looking on the internet for the marinade Texas Roadhouse uses on their steaks and it's all over the internet. Question answered... I guess if you don't mind someone telling you they sell top cuts of meat, and then have to marinate them to be edible, than this place is great. If you want a decent cut of meat, with a decent flavored meat, you won't be getting it in the cuts we ordered anyway. Any restaurant that marinates meat is selling low grade meat. Period. Anyone who knows anything about meat will tell you a Ribeye steak doesn't need marinating. The funny thing is that price wise Outback Steakhouse is comparable. Quality wise they are not. Outback has it over this place hands down when you're talking quality of the steaks. I believe Texas Road House calls it Legendary Food.....I call it Mediocre food.

After too many second chances, we will not ever be back. The price and terrible service are not worth the mediocre food. It is a turn and burn kind of mentality here; all they care about is getting you your food, and getting you out the door. I understand this principal to an extent. Sure, the more customers you serve, the more money you'll make (the point of any business, I get it), the place is always packed, and there is always a wait to be seated- but I am a paying customer. And I eat rather quickly. I am not camping out here, folks! To have your salads dropped two minutes after your appetizer, and your meal (incorrectly cooked, usually) to be dropped just minutes after your salad, and the staff trying to remove plates that your still working on isn't just poor planning, its rude. It almost makes you wonder if its not encouraged, since it has happened virtually every time we have been here. I always order my steak medium rare. It is always still bloody gross when I get it. A manager will come back with it 're-fired' and will ask that you cut into it. Standing right there looking at it, seeing that it is now grey, they will ask "is that better"? Of course, I wont say "no, its worse! but since everyone else is done with their meal, I am not sending it back" but that is exactly how I have left feeling. Oh, and the service is usually terrible! other than my steak incidents, the service is enough to keep me from coming back. Id rather the Outback, or to pay an extra few bucks and go to T bones. If your dropping some $ on dining out (on steak) it may as well be worth it. Also, bring your ear plugs. A little loud is ok, not being ale to hold a conversation at your table, not ok.

Great steak chicken and ribs fall off the bone, the bar is great too the only thing is when someone has a birthday or special event it's so loud and it's never just one you like 10 but overall good environment. The staff are nice and fun people ! The salads also are good, not very big on desserts but need more I think great starters fried pickles

If you want a kickass prime rib and probably THE best ceasar salad evah, this is your place. Sweet potatoes, the rolls, steamed veggies, the rolls, rattlesnake bites, the rolls, rack of ribs! THE ROLLS!!

just came home and found my wife kneeled over in my bathroom sick while home with our son. She got a steak salad for takeout and unknowingly had a busted open silica packet in it and consumed it until it became noticeable. She spit it out and took pictures and brought it to the location. Greeted and treated with zero empathy and was asked if she wanted a gift card or her money back. My wife was concerned and trying to provide communication and was so taken back by the presentation of this offer, she decided to take the 13.00 which was handed to her without an apology and the women's back facing her. We've called poison control because it's that bad and she's scared, unfortunately it'll be a rough night but we won't need a hospital visit. We both are in customer service and i grew up in a restaurant family, things happen but what matters is accountability and empathy. It's terrible that this was handled so poorly because we generally enjoy your establishment. We'll be taking the advice of poison control and contacting food safety, but i really hope your staff is coached for the next escalation so that customer is treated properly.

Very good family steak chain restaurant. Kids love the steak bites. I Very rarely have an issue with food or service. Only things that bug me are the very small, chaotic waiting area and the over abundance of birthday sing alongs. Not sure why people enjoy that so much but whatever

  • Raymond I.

I'd like to give this place zero stars but unfortunately I am forced to give them one star. Upon arrival I was asked twice if I had ever been there before. Then we were seated at the rear of the restaurant. A basket of bread and butter and a container of shelled peanuts were on the table. We ate all the bread and butter and quite a bit of the peanuts but no waitress ever appeared. After 20 minutes passed, we left. AVOID.

I've been to Texas Roadhouses in 5 states, and this is the one that started it all! It is packed every time we go, we've even waited outside for them to open and not been the only ones doing that, on a weekday! At some point over the last 10 years they eliminated half the waiting area to put in more seating. The steaks are spot on, always. If I'm in town and someone suggests going here, I'll do it in a heartbeat

Delicious food and pretty great service. Plus how can you go wrong with the atmosphere? I tried the pulled pork sandwich, it was pretty good. Only for $10! The bar you can people watch and enjoy talking with friends. Plus there's a few TVs to keep the shy people entertained.

Texas roadhouse, you have failed us twice in a row. We ordered medium well steaks two weeks in a row and were handed a grey over well done steak both times. you pride yourselves on being a steakhouse, so you've gotta be able to cook a steak, dontcha think!? Also, your employees, a pack of 4 girls, were hogging the bathroom sink area putting on makeup and junk before their shift. I had to actually wait to wash my hands because of them! That is just not good service. Then one of the girls ended up being my waitress. PS your line dancing gimmick is not cool.

It feels a little nuts to be reviewing a popular chain restaurant, but we had a really good time! The service was friendly and prompt; it was our first time and our server brought us an array of the sides so that we could taste and know what we were ordering. The place was busy but service was prompt. The food was flavorful and really plentiful. We weren't in any particular hurry but we did get in, served, eat and out in a reasonable, unhurried but prompt manner. It was a movie date night and it was really perfect. The cost was affordable enough that we can take the kids next time without worrying about breaking the bank. I gotta say, I recommend it. :-)

Stopped in last week with a few friends after spending the day in NH. We all really liked our food and they were nice about letting us try the beers before picking one. The new fried pickles are good. I have never liked the bread at Texas Roadhouse in general, and I love bread. Very greasy and lacking in flavor. Our waiter was nice and efficient. This is one of the few chains I actually like and find them to be pretty consistent

I have been going to this place for years now, and I've got to say I've never had a bad time here. I don't understand why people judge a restaurant on these little issues. They try, they succeed. I'm sick of snooty people judging a good steakhouse on every little thing. You're not food critics, just some people who go to a middle class family restaurant and expect everything to 100% perfect. They service is great, the food is delicious, and it's all well priced.

Went there on July 4, place was packed with about a 15 minute wait. Once seated, we waited for 10 mins for the waitress to come to our table. We ordered soft drinks and coffee, another 10 minute wait for the drinks to arrive. Ordered food and listed to the waitresses complain about how many or how few tables they had, not a conversation to have out in the open where customers can hear you. My sirloin steak was medium rare but it was very dry, not terrible, but I have had better on many occasions. It will be a long time before I go back there to eat. Also, had to ask another waitress for our check.

Prices are decent but the food overall wasn't too memorable. Seasoning was too salty for us and was used on almost everything. Place was a bit loud, better for younger customers.

I have yet to experience an unpleasant dining visit here at the Methuen location. My 12oz. Ft Worth grilled rib-eye was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. What I like about this joint is that the side offerings are vast and salads are served in chilled bowls keeping the ingredients crisp and refreshing, though my Caesar was slightly overdressed for my taste. Our server took everything by memory and didn't miss a beat. Frosty draft in a frosty mug, this place cannot be beat in value for a chain organization.

It had been years since my husband and I visited this restaurant so we decided to give it a shot since we wanted to go somewhere different. The experience was perfection; everything came quickly, the server was super friendly and the food was not only exactly what we ordered, but FANTASTIC! We will be sure to visit much more often now!

Their baked potatoes have bacon fat in them. This is not noted on the menu. Fortunately, waitstaff informed me of this. Who knows what other disgusting surprises are in the food? I will not be coming back.

Good Fun. The atmosphere is great - the music can be loud at times [especially during the 'yankee' line dancing; that's a hoot] and the place is just loud with all the concrete floors and wood walls, but it a fun place to go. My boyfriend always orders his steak Med - and it's perfect, me - maybe it is me...but I order my steak med-rare and it's often over-cooked. So, that's why there aren't 5 Stars. BUT - the appetizers are great - I recommend the Ribs app! And they mix a delicious tasty-adult beverage! PLUS where else do you get to throw peanut shells on the floor? It's a guilty pleasure for sure.

Tasty food, delicious rolls with sweetened butter, large portions ... not the place to stick to a diet. A few drawbacks: Noisy. Crowded. Can be a long wait to be seated (due to its popularity). A tiny bit on the pricey side, maybe. It can be tough to get into (somewhat difficult left turn on busy route 28 takes you into the adjoining plaza's parking lot, then you follow a circuitous ramp to the TR lot). A test of Massachusetts-driver bona fides, for sure. Many reviewers have made most of the salient points before but here are two more: 1. Probably the best experience at a family-fare/steakhouse chain you'll find, in terms of quality and selection. 2. The bar in the Methuen store, anyway, is jamming at all times. That is, it's always crowded and always happening, with fun and attractive bartenders doing things right. Excellent (but, again, tiny bit pricey) margaritas. Tough to have a bad time there, but the closer you sit to the bar, the better it is. Lots of TVs for game-watching, also. I don't believe it opens before 4, at least weekdays, but that might have changed.

This is a great place to have dinner. The dress is very casual and the steaks are very good, Upon entering you are asked if you wish to pick your steak out that you want cooked. When being brought to your table the hostess is bringing sweet rolls and sweet butter, no place else have I ever tasted butter like that. I had the 11 oz. sirloin steak that was cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes, and baked beans. The baked beans had a smoked hickory taste to them. The dessert was apple pie a'la mode. We had a waitress name Amy who could not have been nicer or more attentive. She made a great meal even better. My dining partner had the same meal with different sides which was also very good. The dessert was shared.

Overall meal was good. Had the sirloin tips. They were cooked to my liking. Kids got fries with their meals however, they were so over seasoned that they could not be enjoyed. Sent them back. They were promptly replaced totally void of seasoning. A happy medium would have been better. Restaurant was very busy and the service was good.

I would give this place a 7 out of 10. Good food for the most part. The chicken fritters, or whatever they're called, the chicken finger like things, they're really really greasy and they leave a long lasting after taste. If you get them, share them, as I did just the other night. Their steak is delicious, and the sides, for the most part, are great. I love mashed potatoes, but theirs has way to much sour cream incorporated into it. I ordered it twice before, hoping the first time was a mistake with how much sour cream they used, but that's just how it's served. Other than that, it's a good place. Service can range, but for the most part it's accommodating. This place has a manager who walks around and asks if everything is ok, which is great. The only problem I had was one of the other servers brought our food out and immediately just dropped it on the table before I could mutter a word when I was in need of a refill. Eating a steak, and other salty foods, requires a drink....but our actual server redeemed that situation by bringing up another round about 6 minutes after, which did seem like a while, but to her credit, it was packed. Again, it's a 7 out of 10.

Warm rolls with sweet cinn-a-butter= not that great. Peanut shells on the floor + part of the charm. Cute waiters and mobile birthday saddles=cool The ribs are actually very good. Blue Moon Beer in big frosty glasses. Pulled pork is kind of fatty. Needs more sauce. ITS A CHAIN Restaurant!! PACKED to the Gills on a Tuesday evening in Methuen. WTF?

    (3)
  • Scott B.

Imagine Coyote Ugly... but the girls aren't scantilly clad, and they're eye-to-eye level on a peanut shell covered floor rather than arse-to-eye level on a bar... The Devil Went Down to Georgia playing on the JukeBox, and the waitresses line dance down the aisles in unison. Pretty cool, but a fire hazard I'm sure. Texas Roadhouse, despite the blaring loud country music, has a good (not awesome, not bad... just good) atmosphere... although the 8 foot tall painting of a Native American's face at the front of the restaurant lends itself to feelings of confusion and irony... Texas Roadhouse invokes feelings of "cowboy"... cowboys vs. indians... yet there's this homage to an indian... strange to say the least. The servers were all friendly, and the food was just incredible. I got the country fried chicken, and it was smothered in this delicious creamy white gravy. Completely awesome. I would definately go back... I mean, after all... who doesn't get a kick out of throwing peanut shells all over the floor?

Okay let's get it out first that I do not eat red meat, yet I love this place. How? Well they have a great atmosphere, which at first glance is cramped and a bit homely but when you get into the restaurant and meet the staff they are amazing as is the food. The peanut buckets and warm bread make for enough food and fun to start. Who doesn't like throwing peanut shells on the floor? I mean seriously. And CINNABUTTER! YUMMO! The shrimp dish is amazing, the mashed potatoes are to die for, the loaded fries are a meal in itself, the fried catfish was such a nice surprise---both sweet and salty and cooked just right. Portions? Well the kids' mac and cheese was a giant bowl, everything could easily feed at least two people with no problem. Somehow my husband can polish off a full rack of ribs and still eat a ton of the bread. The drinks? O so good. I recommend the Cowgirl Quencher. And take advantage of the Call Ahead Seating. A lifesaver!

I usually stay away from "chain" restaurants but was starving and came upon Texas Roadhouse in Methuen. I was not expecting to much when I saw peanut shells on the floor and the wait staff line dancing. But the hostess was very pleasant and most importantly had buttery hot rolls in a basket. That got my attention and admiration. I told our waiter Matt that I had some bad luck lately with over cooked steak at area restaurants. He assured me that this steak would be perfect. IT WAS!!!!! SO GOOD!!! to my surprise. My meal was very good and the service was excellent. I will go back. Matt was very patient with me and was quick and efficient. Great all around!!!!

Well, we actually had a pretty crappy time. There was a long wait for a table with folks getting sat before us. Then there was the even longer wait for our food. However management was so on top of the situation, that they eat the check and gave us a gift certificate for another night on them. Did I mention the Brownie sundae? Great recovery!

Finishing up a fine meal not consumed too long ago, I feel its time I review Texas Roadhouse. I've been to this certain restaurant (and quite a few others) over the course of time and this is probably my favorite location. There is call-ahead seating for people wondering (which I recommend using-especially if you have a large party.) And for the people who don't get call ahead seating, well, be prepared for a decent wait (about an hour on fridays) But don't worry, you get unlimited peanuts. The food quality is consistent. I've really never had a bad meal here. If you can get past the well-worthed wait your in for a good time. Tonight I tried the ribs and they were very tasty. I also had two glasses of their iced tea which was also yummy. Some items can be a bit pricey, like the filets and different fishes, but other than that they have a menu for all different price ranges and appetites. Overall, definitely worth a shot if your in the area. S.O.

Meh. They do a lot of things, none of them are really excellent. As soon as you walk in, you are able to pick your cut of meat. It looks good, but the quality does not translate. The meat is below average. The appetizers are all grease/cheese/gravy loaded calorie nightmares. The beers are cold, so it is a nice place to relax with friends. Just dont expect high quality food. A chain is a chain, they do what they do best.....serve a lot of people, a lot of food for cheaper prices and cheaper quality.

i hate to frequent chains of any sort, i am all about the little guy making it in business. that being said, i have to admit that i really, really like the texas roadhouse. everything i have ordered has been good, esp the baby back ribs where the meat falls off the bone..yum! the pre dinner rolls with the cinnamon butter can get you in trouble....try to resist or you may not be able to finish your dinner! it is a noisy place, great for families, maybe not so much for a date night, but the atmosphere is fun. i dig the roadhouse!

Big fan of their ribs....Just comes right off the bone. The best part about going to texas roadhouse is the fresh baked bread and cinnamon butter spread...ummm...good

The food is fantastic and the service is pretty good. The atmosphere is loud, rowdy, and the waitstaff will line-dance whenever an appropriate line-dancing song comes up. The food is priced relatively cheaply for a steakhouse as well. If you bring someone for their birthday, they'll be in for a surprise with the saddle . . . It's peanut country when you first walk in (there's a sign on the door that warns people with peanut allergies to stay away), with barrels of peanuts in the waiting area and peanut buckets on the tables. You can throw your shells on the ground (and that's what the waitstaff does when your peanut bucket gets full of shells). One warning - save room for your meal because those warm rolls with cinnabutter are incredibly filling. I recommend the ribs, 10oz steak (or 32 oz if you're daring), and fried chicken. You usually can get an appetizer with your entree (garden salad with thousand island dressing is SO good) and two sides as well (chili and fries are great). They've got a bar and TVs showing whatever sports game is on, too, for all the sports junkies. Amusing side note - the bathroom is labeled "Outhouse." I agree with Jeffrey H. - yeehaw!

Went here for dinner the other night with my company. It was A-OK, but nothing too special. The steak was quite good, but nothing else really stood out. The sides were mediocre and not particularly tasty, the Blue Moon I had on tap wasn't very fresh, and the atmosphere was loud and noisy. I was surprised that the restaurant was packed on a random Thursday night and the parking lot was full to the brim. It was decent but I don't know that I would come here again unless I was craving a steak. I did like the fact they had a case of fresh cut steak specials to offer some variety from the standard ones they had on the menu so that you could pick out your own steak. Cool idea. Don't come here if you've got a peanut allergy because there are peanuts and peanut shells littering the entire restaurant. I am not joking when I say they are everywhere and there's a good chance that someone with a nut allergy could die before even being seated.. It's a fun idea to offer peanuts but after being there for 5 minutes I started getting shells stuck in my shoes and it became more of an annoyance than anything. Last thought: You might want to skip this place if you hate country music, it's pretty much all they play.

One of my favorite restaurants. The bread tastes like fried dough w/ cinnamon butter. Food is very consistent but as most restaurants these days, they can't cook steak if their lives depended on it. I like medium rare, but I always order medium but it always comes medium rare and sometimes rare. I have found ordering medium here is the only way to get my steak like I want it, at least some of the time, but I find this almost everywhere. The prime rib here is by far the best around, and probably the best I have ever had. Ribs are excellent, but I find it hard to turn down the prime rib to have them again. Everything is a bit salty, and if you ask no salt on anything you miss out on all the other spices (like on the fries). The place is very loud with the music, a lot of people find this annoying, I don't mind so much but don't plan on doing a lot of talking while you are here as it can be hard to understand each other at times. My three year old son loves this place and my 10 year old nephew loves this place. You definitely want to call ahead at this place, a 30 - 60 minute wait is typical. Prices are really good, you get a meal w/ two sides for $8-$15 and end up with a lot of food. Oh and their Italian "house" dressing is amazing.

We will not ever return to this place to eat! Sooo, are last experiance at this place was not a pleasant experiance obviously. We got to the peanut invested floor and were seated to our table. We recieved are salad with a piece of hair in it...the beer had a bug in it....not once but twice!!! As I looked around and glanced in the kitchen it looked like a bunch of teenagers running the joint. It was not a good experiance. The food was not that great, and once I found the hair in my salad my stomach turned. The bug in the beer 2x pushed us over the edge. Maybe it was a bad night for them or they were short on staff, I don't know?? But all I know is that place is to loud and unclean for me! Experiance yourself and be the judge, but be alert as you eat. Good Luck!

just want to start out by saying the food is excellent!! no issues there. Just an issue with the staff and the cleanliness. my girlfriend and i went for dinner saturday night. Sat at the bar for maybe 10 minutes before one of 3 bartenders said hello. After the hello it was another 10 mins before we were asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for a drink menu. The one the that was given to us to share had to be pryed open because it was grossly stuck together. the part of the bar where we sat was disgusting. I had to ask for it to be wiped down. The bartender wiped it but pushed all the excess food over to the side where there was no one sitting. gross! Then we asked for a gluten free menu. First bartender said she would get us one. After 10 minutes of waiting we asked the 2nd bartender and she said there wasnt one. I had to ask the 3rd bartender just to see what her answer would be. She reached around and grabbed a menu in a flash. Hooray, at least someone knows the answer. And i think the regular menu says " if you have a food allergy let your server know. we did and no one seemed to care.Oh one more thing, the regular menus were grossly stuck together also.

The service was slow. The kabob was good, the chicken breast was juicy. The caesar salad was watery.

It's hit or miss. If you're in the mood for loud fun, and messy no nonesense food then this is the place. The steaks are always just so-so, and out of ten visits when Pat is on the grille something always has to be sent back. it's a lot of food, and really heavy stuff. The flavor is good, not great. You come to to Texas Roadhouse for the atmosphere and the attentive staff gives you plenty of it. My favorites are the Smokehouse Burger, Chicken Critters, and the loaded sweet potato. I think that potato is their most unique item.

Place has a feeling like no other compared to the other restaurants around the area. Let you pick out your own steak, sit you down and hand you amazing warm bread with cinnamon butter. Not a huge menu but always can find something you would like. Always have your option of eating peanuts but have found too many may spoil your appetite. Service is okay and never takes too long.

So I had been here before and had a craving for the rolls and the yummy cinnamon butter... so my sister and I made the trip up in anticipation of a fantastic late dinner. First off, we get there and the restaurant is pretty empty... we ask for a booth and without getting asked if we wanted to sit in the bar area (where are a bunch of drunks were standing around shouting and watching the sox game) we were seated in the middle of everyone. Strike 1. Strike 2. The hostess stand was a few feet away from us, and the girl working the door in her blonde pigtails and hat was so obnoxiously loud in my ear that before we even ordered, I was already contemplating getting my meal to go. Ok I get it, it's a Tuesday night and things are sort of slow at 9pm, but that doesn't mean you should be 1) hanging out with your friends around the front of the restaurant 2) screaming and running around and goofing off while people are sitting 2 feet away from you trying to eat. 3) acting unprofessional. Slow or not, you are still at work. Act accordingly please. At one point a gentleman at the bars says "My gosh that is the loudest person I have ever heard" to which my sister and I chimed in unison "I KNOW!" He then says something to her to give her the hint that she is being too loud, and in return she smart mouth's him back and continues running around yelling in everyone's ears. Lady, the music isn't even playing... take it down a notch or six! Strike 3. At one point we watch the kitchen tell our runner that the food is ready and he blatantly ignores them for a good 5 minutes to talk to his friends before acknowledging them. Our waitress was a doll. Absolutely, without a doubt. I left her a great tip and a lovely note explaining why I would never return because of the loud hostess. It made for a very unpleasant dining experience. And also for a pounding headache later. If I wasn't in such a hurry to get out of there to save my mood for the rest of the evening, I would have mentioned it to the manager, but honestly... I couldn't get out the front door and into the quiet comforts of the car fast enough. Terribly disappointed. But on the upside, the grilled bqq chicken and loaded baked potato was delish.

Matthew A and I are going to have to agree to disagree on those rolls. OMG they are SOOOOOOO good. In fact, every one of us had to stop ourselves to save room for the actual meal. It is packed. Always. I like the country music and the line dancing is free entertainment. I can only complain so much. Well, maybe they could turn the volume down A BIT... The BF and I had steak and our friends had burgers. Everyone was overstuffed and seriously content. There is a bar and tvs for game watching. I toss my peanut shells on the floor because I can. It is a chain and everyone working there is half my age now, but the food is damn good, reasonably priced and ohhhhh, the rolls.

Roadhouse always has good food and good service. The only complaint I have is one day they seated us at the front entrance and had to listen to the greeter greet every single person who came in the door with hows your day going today how is your day going today over and over again and over again within a foot of our table. They should probably move that table or not allow people to sit there. Pretty aggravating when you're trying to enjoy time with your family and have to listen to that over and over again for a whole entire hour.

I wish I could write reviews as eloquently as others, but I can't, so I'll give you the breakdown! Saturday night, quoted 1 1/2 hours and it ended up being 50 minutes. No big deal, but don't they wonder how many people they're displacing? Went to bar for a beer...icy cold and friendly service! Went to bathroom....an emplyoee was smoking in the bathroom. Without getting into details, it was bltantly obvious SHE was smoking, but when I commented she told me she was going to report that "someone was smoking in the bathroom. Returned to bar, had a sip left in my beer...not much, but not empty. The bartender threw it away as I was trying to get her attention, but she was talking to another bartender and not paying attention to me. When I pointed it out to her she told me it was empty because she had looked. The humor in this? When I then asked her for another one she gave me a Coors Light. When I told her it was actually a Miller Lite she looked annoyed. Really, she looked at the beer she threw out? Oh well. We sat down and yes, it was as loud as everyone says, but we have been before and get it and think it's fine. Our waitress was sweet but seemed to want to not take ownership of anything. We ordered the onion with extra sauce. Got it, half way through she came back to check on us and when we asked for more sauce she said she didn't ring it in becuase she just wanted to get us our onion quickly and didn't want to bother the kitchen???? Then when one of our beers didn't come she said it was because they thought they were out of BUD!!!!!!! but that they were checking. Maybe she forgot that we had been in the bar for almost an hour and had seen the beers stocked beautifully for that whole time?? Anyway, we eventually got that beer. When we got a 1/3 rack and 1/2 rack of ribs and the 1/2 was smaller than the 1/3 she blamed the kitchen, yet brought more to make up for it. Once we finished eating and she came to remove our plates she asked me if I was the one who caught someone doing something in the bathroom that they shouldn't have. Who asks that? Who admits that they know that an EMPLOYEE was smoking in a 3-stall bathroom!!??? When we got the check a beer I had ordered and never received was on the check...oh, it was because she had asked someone else to bring it and they never had. Then she came with the beer before the check with the beer removed (my husband had already gone out to get the car!!!!) and I told her I didn't want it. She was surprised!!!! When she came with the check she was uncertain if they had removed the beer or not but "it's no longer on the check, so I guess they did". Anyway, we will still go back to the one in Salem, NH because that's where we usually go and are pleased every time, but I was SO disappointed with this location!

Went here last night for dinner. Both our steaks were fatty, quality seemed to have gone downhill quite a bit. Server Forgot my sides, messed up drink order, and we waited a long time to get our food. Tough when you have a young child with you. The only filet mignon option on the menu now is fatty "filet" medallions. We were pleasantly surprised when we didn't have to wait for our table, but maybe more people are also thinking the food isn't so great anymore. It was pretty slow.

Rating = 3.5 stars We went here for the first time recently and given all the so-so reviews on Yelp I ended up pleasantly surprised. They asked us as soon as we walked in if it was our first time and when we said yes, the hostess very enthusiastically explained all about the rolls, cinnabutter, ribs and how we could choose our own steak. Later on, upon hearing that it was our first time the manager came by to welcome us and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit. Overall, we had a very good experience. A lot of times you expect food at a chain restaurant to be average but I thought the food here was pretty good. It was fresh, tasty and well-cooked. Service was great too. Our waitress took time to explain the menu and was very accomodating with our requests. We ordered the fried blossom (a large onion cut up and fried) for an appetizer, Dallas filet (a regular filet mignon) and rib-eye steak with a sidekick (side order) of ribs. They are known for the ribs which I thought were good but not as tender as I expected. For dessert, we had the brownie with vanilla ice cream. The brownie tasted more like a warm chocolate cake but otherwise was fine. Oh, for what it's worth, the rolls were OK - not OMG I'm dying I've got to have more smothered with cinnabutter kind of thing though. I had a few bites with the cinnabutter and that was enough. I could see if you are a carb lover then maybe you'd go nuts. My husband thought the cinnabutter with the rolls was reminiscent of a Cinnabon but I don't agree. There's no ooey, gooey, buttery goodness that comes with a Cinnabon. I thought it was going to be a huge mess with the peanuts all over but our table didn't even have a bucket of peanuts and there were no shelled peanuts on the floor in our vicinity. It was also fairly early (6 pm) when we were there so maybe there wasn't enough traffic yet to create all those peanut shells and dust on the floor. The value for the quality and quantity of food was pretty good. Our dinner including the blossom, filet, rib-eye, half rack of ribs, two kids meals, a margarita and brownie cost $70 including tax. We'll come back if in the area.

Their food? Amazing. Environment? Phenomenal. The employees? They're so happy, their smiles make you forget about your problems. The food? If you wanna know what Heaven is like while still living, go to the Roadhouse. The end.

Pretty good for a chain. Prices are okay, service is usually pretty quick. Nothing that will blow your socks off but a good value for the money. If you're going to go to a chain, might as well make it a successful one - don't try and get in on a busy Friday or Saturday though.

This is a cool place to have dinner near the NH/MA state line. I try to get here before it gets too crazy busy. Before getting seated, you can pick out the steak you want cooked for your dinner (optional). I love the complementary warm sweet rolls and sweet butter. Beware of the peanut dust and shells all over the place and floor. You can shell peanuts (from the silver bucket) and push the peanut shells onto the floor. My favorite dinner is the Country Fried Sirloin with white gravy and my favorite sides are the Texas chili with cheese and onions, mashed potatoes (with brown gravy), and house salad (with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, egg) with bleu cheese dressing. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere here is fun. Every so often, servers will line dance together to various country songs (ie. Cotton Eyed Joe). When someone has a birthday, everyone in the restaurant will be asked to give a big YEE-HAH!!! I've seen the birthday person ride a fake "bull" as well. If I still have room for dessert, I order the Big Ol' Brownie (more like a fresh baked chocolate cake), which is drenched in chocolate and served with vanilla ice cream.

I went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time recently and boy was it interesting. First, it is worth mentioning that I am a healthy eater and when I go out to dinner I usually have grilled fish or something, so I fully understand that this place was not meant for people like me. However, I went with my husband's fam just to be a good sport. I was worried because I had heard rumors that the breadbaskets have over a day's worth of calories and that people throw peanut shells on the floor. When we walked in, the atmosphere was as expected. A typical chain restaurant setup, it is dark in there and doesn't feel entirely that clean. The booths were huge..which I later found out is for a reason. Most of the other people eating there were ENORMOUS. One table, I swear to God they all weighed 300+lbs and there were six of them. Anyway, back to the food. The bread came, and it looked delicious, almost glazed in something, but I didn't try it. Everyone else was going bananas over it though. I munched on some of the peanuts, and happily they provide a bucket for the shells so you don't throw them on the ground. I got the healthiest thing I could possibly find on the menu, which was a chopped salad with grilled chicken and hardboiled egg. I believe it came with bacon and cheese and I asked them to leave that out. The dressing, which I got on the side, was actually quite good and the salad was fresh and tasty. The chicken was nice and warm and seasoned just enough. I couldn't believe how good it was. My nephew got a kids meal with two little burgers and fries and he seemed to enjoy that. The kids menu didn't have many healthy options but for once and a while I think it was fine for kids. My husband and his Mom got ribs, which they thought were very good. It came with two sides, and they got fries and mashed potatoes and veggies, all of which looked pretty good. Nobody got dessert. In sum, if you can keep your food down around some of the biggest people you'll ever see, this place is ok. Almost everything on the menu is unhealthy, but it wasn't impossible to make a decent choice either. The waitstaff was very nice and attentive also. I do not think I would go back here by choice just because there isn't enough for me to eat, but if you like ribs and fried stuff this place is a sure bet.

One of my favorite restaurants, the bread and butter is to die for. The only time I wouldn't come here is with a large group, the booths are not accommodating. Awesome place to take someone for their birthday, make sure to tell the server.

It is hard to resist the honey-cinnamon whipped butter and warm rolls that are served immediately as you are seated. Don't get filled up on them though because you'll want to save room for your entre. Although famous for their steaks and ribs, this chain restaurant offers up a pretty tasty fried catfish. Not greasy and cooked to a perfect crisp, the lightly breaded catfish hit the spot. Served with a choice of two sides, you'll be sure to satisfy your hunger. Side options include house/Caesar salad, cup of chili, mashed/baked potatoes, seasoned rice, steak fries, veggies, and baked beans. The cup of chili had a kick to it which I liked, but it was all beans. (not a bean lover!) The atmosphere is a bit corny and very loud. Peanut shells cover the floor. The wait staff consists of mostly teenagers. Jennifer was friendly and attentive. She checked on us and brought refills. If you're "lucky", you'll catch a dance performance by the waitresses. Also, don't get alarmed if you hear a bunch of Yee-ha's because that signals someone's birthday. Be sure to call ahead or be prepared to wait even on weeknights. This place is always busy.

Okay lets just say that the Ribs here beat all other rib places around, forget Chili's. 99's and any other place around. My wife and I love it here cause out 14 month old twins can make a mess. With all of the peanut sheels on the ground no one even looks.. Also got to love the rolls with the cinnamin butter spread yum... I would stick with purely BBQ here as my wife ordered salmon once and it was not that good... Enjoy... OH yeah call ahead for call ahead seating it will save you 1/2 - 1 hours of waiting... hey at least you can fill up on peanuts if you have to wait.. Bar is a little small considering the huge lines that they get..

Definitely high on our list of good places to eat! The food is reliably good and sometimes great, including the rolls with cinnamon butter, which are gorge-worthy. My 8 year old son is pretty fussy and he's never had a complaint about the food. We've never had anything but good-to-excellent service. That said, it's not a place that allows for much conversation, because the music can be VERY loud depending on where you're seated. Personally, I find the peanut shells on the floor tiresome and gimmicky (in a not-good way) but I know plenty of people like the casual, relaxed atmosphere. But we've found that the quality of the food and service makes it worth it.

Texas Roadhouse and the Outback usually are in competition when my family decides to go out for a steak. I think that their steaks are a bit tastier (seasoning and stuff), but not as tender as the ones at Outback. In general, their food is O.K. and a descent value. I am a peanut-nut, so I love it when the wait is kind-a long and I have to wait by the peanut barrel. The place is a bit loud, but the wait staff is pleasant and makes up for it.

The food is definitely five stars (it's a steakhouse, so get the steak!). Service is good, but they get pretty busy. Be sure not to take anyone here with a peanut allergy, they'll die while crossing the threshold... there are peanuts and shells everywhere and the air is full of peanut dust! It's super noisy, and they for some reason turn the music up louder when it's noisier. My biggest complaint is the country line dancing number they do... could they at least LOOK like they're enjoying it, for the sake of the excited little kids in the restaurant who come running over to watch? Blech... I'd rather sit where I can't see the uncomfortable chain gang dance.

Went for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Had the most amazing steak and a good experience. Their warm rolls that are served at the beginning are AMAZING!! We actually didn't get served any but asked about half way through our meal if we got some and the waitress brought them right over. Make sure you get them if they don't give them to you in the beginning. YUM! The side of "veggies" was just some cold broccoli and carrots, though, so I wasn't too impressed by that. Based on this night, I would definitely give 4 stars. BUT... when I like a place, I wanna keep going back! A week later I went back and ordered the same thing (creature of habit!). The steak this time was absolutely disgusting- I order medium rare and it was most definitely medium well. It seemed to be half the size of the previous steak and tasted like nothing. Also, we were seated in a tiny table- it was 9:30pm so it wasn't busy at all. We requested to move one table over and were given a death stare by the waitress and told that it probably wasn't possible because it wasn't her table. I asked very nicely if she could please find out if it's possible and she rolled her eyes and walked away. 10 minutes later another server came over and said it was OK for us to move. Well... umm thanks?! Didn't realize it would be such an issue. Anyway, it was average! The prices are pretty good though, so that's a plus.

Probably the safest in food quality for all the chain restaurants in Merrimack Valley. Never had a bad meal. Always get the chicken critter salad. My son loves the ribs and burgers are also very good.

This place is UNBELIEVABLE!!! It is a steakhouse- indeed not a Capital or a Ruth's Chris, but the steak is just as damn good!! The setting: think Rodeo/Wild West. There are peanuts everywhere!! (If you are allergic I highly do not suggest going here!!) The rolls are more delicious than ANY PLACE I have EVER been to!! They offer a cinnamon/sugar dip... totally unbelievable ** Suggestions: For a healthier meal, try the Salmon (only 12$), vegetables, and especially the sweet potato! Oh and BTW-- they do an awesome show for Birthdays--- will put you on a horse (fake) and sing to you! YEEEE-HAW!! ((Can you tell how excited I am??))

If you like Chilis and TGIFridays you'll probably love this place, but if you're looking for real barbeque or decent steak, keep looking. Plus they make the waitresses line dance when that Gretchen Wilson song comes on. Way too much flair.
