Seriously delicious and flavorful! I come here at least once a week and usually get a chicken bowl with all of the salsas, sour cream and cheese. The chips are amazing! The staff is always wicked friendly, fun and funny. LOVE YOU CHIPOTLE!

food tastes good, it's a chain, but it's a good part of the chain.

Perhaps I was a bit too hard on Chipotle. Their burritos are HUGE and a hell of alot more reasonable when you consider that a medium end sandwich is the same price and won't fill you up. To be honest, I yearn for Chipotle now that I'm in western MA and there is no place HALF as good. I'm sorry Chipotle, please forgive me? I feel like we can make this long term...

The fastest way to my heart is through my stomach, and I must say it was love at first bite when my mom told us to swing by Chipotle before they had officially opened for business for a free meal. We couldn't turn that down and I'm glad we didn't. The veggies are fresh and the meat is all humanely raised and free of antibiotics. Everything is very well spiced and they have 4 different salsas to choose from. If you go to their website you can order your food ahead of time, give them your estimated time of arrival and it'll be ready when you get there. I have to say that they completely won me over with their fresh brewed iced tea and my favorite soda from the south, Mr Pibb. Did I mention they have beer too?

Four Stars for good service. One star off for "sometimes" good service. I've came here on may occasions; I'm a Chipotle nut. Sometimes the guys making your burrito are nice and will speak to you and other times it seems like they hate life. Once the guy put too much of a few things in my burrito and it busted apart at the seams. He was going to make another but said the meal would be free if I took that one and he kept apologizing. I of course said really, it was okay and took our free dinner and hit the door with a smile! I always go back... hopefully the service stays happy!

I realize I am bringing down the average and I totally intend to update my review of Chipotle once I am able to actually try it. Until then, let me tell you why I'm giving them one star... After a harrowing trail run in the Middlesex Fells reservation Saturday afternoon my boyfriend suggested "Let's try that burrito place you read about on Yelp that you want to try. Isn't it up here somewhere?" Me, "Yes, it's in Medford but I don't know where exactly. I drove past it once. It might be route 16? I'll call and ask them where they are." After paying far too much money to call Dir. Assistance from a cell phone, I reach Chipotle: Attempt 1: Chipotle worker: "Thank you for calling Chipotle" Me: "Hi, can you please tell me where you are located?" Chipotle worker: "Please hold." Me: Patiently waited on hold for several minutes only to realize they disconnected me. So, now we are now driving down 93 and I know that we're close to the exit where I think it is so I don't want to give up. I call again (after having to be reconnected by the Dir. Assistance operator). Attempt 2: Same Chipotle worker(based on distinctive accent) : "Thank you for calling Chipotle" Me: "Hi, can you please tell me where you are located? We just got disconnected." Chipotle worker: "Please hold." Me: Waited on hold (a little less patiently) for several minutes only to realize they disconnected me again! Okay, now I'm getting pissed! My boyfriend called the next time because I was too mad to deal with it. And now, on principal we had to find the damn place. Attempt 3: Same Chipotle worker (based on distinctive accent): "Thank you for calling Chipotle" My boyfriend: "Hi, I need to know where you are located?" Chipotle worker: "Please hold." My boyfriend: "No, don't put me on hold. I just need to know your address and you have hung up on us twice." Chipotle worker: "Please hold." My boyfriend: "I just need your address." Chipotle worker: Finally, she asks someone in the background for the address and comes on the phone and says "Fellsway" and hangs up. We are now aggravated beyond belief. So, my boyfriend while driving looks to his left and wouldn't you know...there was Chipotle. After all that, we found it on our own anyway. So, we went in and the line was approx. 30 people deep, and I am not exaggerating. It might have moved fast but we didn't wait to find out. We were so put off by the whole phone experience and now this line. So, we walked next door to Boston Market. Believe it or not, I would still like to try Chipotle.

I was excited to try this place out as I have been to them in Chicago. Very simple menu, and not too confusing or overpowering. I tryed a chicken burrito with black beans, cheese, medium hot sauce and corn salsa. $6.25. Add a bottle of H20 for $1.25. Tax to Deval: 0.39. Total: $8.14. Not bad and the burrito had just the right amoutn of heat and flavor. Very fresh. I enjoyed the outdoor seating as it was a nice day. Accessability sucks as it sits right on Wellington Circle next to CVS.

I don't know why and what people are complaining about. Of course they'll ask you what do you want in your burrito, the people working there are NOT mind readers. If you what a ready burrito go find a place on your own and get already ready burrito - they sell them at the gas stations! The Chipotle burritos are big and taste great for the bargain price of $7. It is true that the guacamole is extra $$, but it's no surprise just one avocado in the grocery store cost about $1.50 or $2. I love the convenience of the location, right off I-93. The staff is very nice and pleasant. Nice outdoor sitting area, where you can enjoy the weather, while eating your delicious and giant burrito :) I recommend them to everybody, because I've never eaten such a great burritos. Glad they have a location in Harvard square also. And the order to go is sooooo convenient. I call them 30min ahead before I get there and as soon as I walk in they have my order ready, so I don't have to wait on the line for lunch or dinner. So convenience! Love you guys, and thank you all for the delicious burritos you make for us!!!

CHIPOTLE IS GREAT EVERYWHERE BUT THIS LOCATION, this one is so irritating because they are so stingy it sucks. I'm writing here finally after being irrated 5-6 times myself because tonight a girl behind me in line got so upset about the same thing and said to me "someone should speak, up these *sshole's are such jerks", I agree so I just did

I am a hardcore Chipotle addict. I used to go to NYC all the time & get them because Boston wasn't cool enough to get the chain here. Then they opened one right down the road from my house! I usually get the chicken burrito but also am a fan of the barbacoa. It's definitely not "authentic" Mexican food but not much in this town is. (Boston really doesn't harness their Mexican food community though they are getting better.) Plus, Chipotle is sort of it's own "type" of food, and much better than all the burrito shops that have sprung up in this town. The manager of this particular Chipotle is so friendly and the staff kind of tries a bit TOO much to get you to talk abou the weather. "Just gimme the burrito guy. I don't care about outside." Overall, I definitely definitely recommend checking them out. They certainly make my stomach hungry. Just the chips & guac alone are AMAZING.

Chipotle is what it is. It is NOT Mexican food, or anything even remotely resembling it, but the chain still manages to serve up a fantastic meal and a great bargain. It may not be authentic, but I still prefer Chipotle over Anna's because of the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Everything at Chipotle is fresh and flavorful. The meat is tender and succulent, the beans and rice have a surprising amount of flavor, and the guacamole is easily the best you'll ever find in a nationwide chain restaurant. The salsas are actually spicy, a welcome change from every other Mexican place I've been to in New England. If anything, it can be TOO spicy if you like things mild. I personally have to limit myself to eating either carnitas or vegetarian, as all of the other meats are far too spicy for me. My only other complaint is that the tortillas never seem that fresh, but living a few blocks away from a tortilla factory an hour north of the Mexican border has given me rather high standards. Those of us who are environmentally-conscious can also rest easy. All of Chipotle's pork and chicken is organic and naturally raised, as is the beef in about half its locations (including all of its MA locations). Some (though unfortunately not all) of the other ingredients are also produced organically. It is rare to see a large restaurant business so dedicated to the environment, and is yet another reason to love Chipotle (although I personally ate at Chipotle and loved it before I cared about food sustainability). The Davis Square Chipotle is pretty much just like any other Chipotle. The staff can be slow and unaccommodating at times, but the plentiful outdoor seating and windowside bar seats (great for people watching!) are most welcome.

This is the best location of Chipotle I've been to. The staff is always great and they always have iced tea. A hearty portion of rice in the burrito bol makes me happy.

Chipotle may be my new favorite place for fast-food burritos. I was a huge fan of Baja Fresh in Stoneham, but this place would've probably been my favorite if I'd live closer. Chipotle's steak burrito is very tasty - their marinated beef hits the spot. Their lime rice goes very well with the meat, and their pico de gallo and hot salsa are welcome accompaniments. Their Guacamole is also a special treat when accompanied by their chips. They allow you to specify the ingredients going into your burrito. Their food's also pretty consistently good, and that's a big plus as far as I'm concerned. My ratings summary: Food: Good, consistent steak burritos! Yum! Service: Prompt fast-food service. Friendly servers! Value: Fair. A bit pricey for fast-food. Ambiance: Standard Chipotle setting Plenty of parking - never had a problem. The bottom line: Good, consistent fast-food burritos! Tummy-filling goodness.

only problem with chipotle... is the lines. People very friendly, good value. But at peak times it can be a long wait. Food is very good though, I imagine the Qdoba across the street is feeling some pain because it's nowhere near as good.

Confession time: when I first rented my apartment in Kansas, a deciding factor was that there was a Chipotle three blocks away. Like some people need a laundromat, I needed burritos the size of my head. I know few tastes combinations that are as immediately rewarding as Chipotle's cheese-rice-sour cream holy trinity. It wasn't good for my body, but it sure was good for my soul. Fast-forward: I'm living a different life in a different world. Until two weeks ago, I didn't even know there was a Chipotle here, but once I learned that fact, I had to go. It isn't a nice walk from the T (the SkyWalk is scary, and you have to cross the same two streets 11 times. Bu it is very much worth it. The burritos are thick and flavorful, and the ingredients are fresher than you'd find in most restaurants, let alone fast food. In fact, the guacamole is as fine as any restaurant version I've had, and is a must addition. Only the chips fail to live up to the standards, though this may be more about my personal taste than a flaw in the execution. Everyone's favorite factoid (that Chipotle is owned by McDonald's) is no longer true, so don't let be an excuse not to go.

I'm happy to admit that I prefer my Mex in the style of Tex. Since we're a far cry from the Lone Star State (Guero's & a Shiner Bock anyone?), and a further cry from the Pacific Time Zone where I first sampled Chipotle, I was beside myself with joy when I saw they were opening in Medford. (Why Medford? I got nothing against the Medfordese, but it just seems like an odd location to launch a franchise). After moving back to Boston and having my friends rhapsodize about Anna's, I had resigned myself to the fact that my friends sucked. White American Cheese product? Anyway, I should save this tirade for a review of Annas. We're here to discuss the sublime deliciousness that is Chipotle. Ahh, fresh cheese, all the ingredients in front of me, and, can you believe it? Hot sauce that's actually HOT. I'm a creature of habit, and usually scarf down the fajita burrito. I like not having beans forced upon me, but I do like the black bean option, in case I'm lacking fiber. It's a party in there. All the different tastes coming together, the cool sour cream, the spicy chicken. I hope they open more of them in the area, so I don't have brave that crazy route 16/28/38/I-93 neighborhood anymore. It's a lot of food, but you get what you pay for. If I'm going to shell out 6 bucks for a burrito, I want it to fill me up. All day. Also, they've got three kinds of Tabasco sauce out in the open, waiting there, saying, "go ahead, make it even better!' If you go with a friend be sure to try the guac. My one complaint, is that there are no additional japalenos to stick upon your creation. In a city that lacks good burrito joints, it's totally worth the trip.

I love Mexican food, I love burritos but I don't love Chipotle or their burritos. I wanted to like them - I think I did like them when they first opened - clean restaurant, very friendly serving staff, large portions. Now I have come to realize that $6 + is to much money to pay for a burrito that is not assembled tightly enough (explodes and spills everything out once you remove the tin foil) and robotic servers who don't get the order correctly when you ask for a variation of the standard burrito. My boyfriend has also gotten sick nearly every time we have eaten there to boot. Chipotle, I gave you a chance but you blew it.

Chipotle is amazing. I recently moved back to Boston from Austin, where Chipotle is fairly popular. If this were an Austin area Chipotle, it'd be 5 stars, but this particular one is not quite as good as the ones down in Texas. The service is great and quick, but a few times it's been obvious the ingredients have been sitting out too long. 8/10 times it's great. The value is very comparable too. The burritos are significantly bigger than Anna's, and I find the meat much more flavorful. Worth the extra few bucks. The best burrito you can get here: Barbacoa, rice, black beans, half corn salsa, half hot red salsa, cheese. FWIW, this is "non-standard" (two salsas) but the servers here have never had a problem with it and I come here very frequently.

I HEART BURRITOS I think that will be my next tattoo. However I do not love their burritos. The goods: ~They offer corn, which I love in a burrito. ~The offer 3 kinds of salsa, hot, med & blah ~They offer BEER as a drink ~They have a few different kinds of meat to pick from, (though I chose none) ~ It was set up nicely if you choose to dine in. The Bads: ~ The cheese they add is cold shredded cheese at the end with the quac. etc. Cold cheese?! ~ The black beans were not so good and looked like they were a day old ~The burrito was not made tightly enough so it was nearly impossible to eat, and it had stuff running out the sides. I have had better, and I have had worse. all in all it's a much better meal than the neighboring Subway or Burger King, and cheaper than Kelley's across the street. My veggie big burrito and fancy drink came to $8.50. not too shabby!

Wow, I never expected to give this place five stars. In fact the first time I tried it I was not impressed and thought the rice was dry, but I decided to give them a second chance for two reasons. One, they were on the right side of the road, and secondly they were doing a promotion with the BSC across the street. I've always wanted to like this place more than Qdoba, as I think they have a better set of values. But I had to balance that with the food, and like I said, my first experience was not a good one. So, before a bike ride on Sunday, we needed to grab something to eat. We stopped here and split a burrito with chips and salsa. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside on the patio to eat. After having our burrito we both tried to figure out why we didn't like it in the past, as it was delicious. I was also a big fan of their chips and salsa. The chips had the right texture, with just a little zing of lime. And the green salsa is amazing, got a little kick, but not too much. I would say the perfect balance. One of the main reasons we went was because of the BSC deal, which we then found out was on Mondays (possibly only in May). The deal was a free burrito and soda just for showing your membership card. I'm not going to lie, I'm cheap, and so on Monday we went back for a free dinner. I'm so glad that I gave this place a second chance, as now I have a more guilt free option when I dine out. And a cheap one too since a burrito is so big it can feed two!

Today marked my first trip to Chipotle and maybe my last. Sure, it's better than Anna's (as if that's an accomplishment) but I wasn't exactly wowed. The burritos are way too big, like scary big. Like bigger than my head. Why can't I get a smaller one? Prices are average if a little high but I guess $6 isn't much for a burrito you can eat all day long. Seriously, I'm about to heat that sucker up for the third time. The parking lot sucks, with suburban crazies driving on the wrong side of the lot and paying little attention to their surroundings. There is a weird little outdoor seating patio so you can eat your burrito al fresco.... while watching old folks pick up prescriptions at the CVS drive-through. It's kind of out of the way for city dwellers but the extremely excited manager was going ON AND ON about the many new locations opening this year (Davis and Harvard among them) so the carless folks can get Chipotle soon without risking their lives walking from Wellington Station. They have beer for $3.25... that's kind of awesome. But I'll stick with Taco Loco for my burrito needs.

I'm confused. I was excited to try this place but my chicken burrito tasted exactly the same as the one I had at Qdoba. Watching the server's sloppy construction and resulting double wide burrito inspired a sense of déjà vu. When eating one of those monstrosities one must implement an entirely new game plan to ensure that the mound of rice perched precariously in the center doesn't come tumbling out along with that precious guacamole. The server did give me an entire heaping spoonful of guacamole and not just a spatula swipe but I don't feel it's worth $1.95 extra. The tortilla chips were tasty and unexpectedly plentiful but overall Chipotle is not worth the expense.

I first heard of Chipotle when I was in Chicago. As you may know, Chicago has a lot of little burrito joints. I thought this was one of them and I said to my friend "Let's eat there." He said "Are you kidding? That's a chain owned by McDonald's." I assumed it was bad and we went elsewhere. Fast worward to a few weeks ago. I stopped into CVS and noticed the Chipotle there. (Hard not to notice with the very loud music blasting outside. Why? Don't ask me, but it wasnt' a good omen.) Since good burritos aren't nearly as abundant as they are in Chi-town, I thought I'd give it a try. We went in and the place is very clean. Maybe because it just opened. Then a manager of some sort came in from around back asking us if we'd ever been there before. We said no and he went to tell us all about the food there. He was very overbearing but I guess I was glad he was there because the menu was a bit confusing. Just remember one thing, you can get three tacos and make them all differenly even though the menu might make you think otherwise. And even though things are priced around $5.50-$6.50 for a burrito, fajita, bowl, or three tacos, you can indeed get an individual taco. They're very accomodating. They have the sort of assembly-line of burrito production that Anna's and other local places have has. It wasn't very busy so I decided to take my time picking out what I wanted for my three tacos and they didn't seem to mind. They had a wide variety of options. And the cheese was shredded as opposed to the slice you get at Boca Grande and Anna's. So that's nice. We sat down and started eating. Wow. We were shocked at how good it was. The meat was the best I can imagine from a burrito joint. The steak was very flavorful and spicy (it actually might be too spicy for the more timid). The shredded beef was good too. I wish I tried the chicken as well. The ingredients were fresh. The guac was merely decent, however. But guac is tricky and it seems like different people like it different ways. It definitely tasted fresh, I guess I just wanted more flavor to it. So how could a Tex-Mex place owned by McDonald's be so good. Well, I went to Yelp to see if people had reviewed it. No reviews but I got all the info I needed from the messageboard. (Disclaimer: the following info was provided by fellow Yelpers, so they deserve the credit. Or the blame if this info is wrong. I tried to confirm it by looking up Chipotle on Wikipedia. But because I know approximately zero about business, it was a foreign language to me as to when it was bought or sold or whatever.) Anyway, it was a place started in Denver that branched out. Then McDonald's bought it and part of their agreement was that McD's would keep up the integrity of the original Chipotle. Hence the free-range meat and fresh ingredients. Then they started opening everywhere. I must say when I went to the board, I expected tons of people to be trashing the place and saying "It doesn't compare to Anna's, the best burrito in the world!" It was nice to see that everyone else enjoyed it as well. And I hear one is actually opening in Davis Square just down the street from Anna's. I see a war coming. You know what side I'm on! Two more notes: They serve beer. And as a nice touch they have fresh lemons and limes cut next to the soda fountains.

I ate at the very first Chipotle in Denver and I'm happy to report that the quality of the chain in Denver has been transferred to the first location in Massachusetts. I was ecstatic- no, really jump up and down ecstatic- when I heard Chipotle was opening in Medford. Three years ago in a bout of homesickness I actually wrote Chipotle and said, 'Please come to Boston! I have cravings for your guac. I need it now. I can't stand that Qdoba crap for much longer." They wrote back sayin' "We are working on it. Keep your hopes up!" It took 'em three years, but they came through. Chipotle isn't "real" Mexican food. But, it is damn tasty. Freshest of fresh ingredients. Even though I don't eat meat I appreciate the fact that they use anti-hormone, vegetarian fed, free range chicken, pork and beef. When I left Denver they had just introduced the free range pork and said they'd be working with suppliers to get chicken next and beef after that. They also kept that promise. Their motto is "Food With Integrity" I can get behind that. So when I went into the Chipotle today I felt like I was in Denver. I drove somewhere to eat! I sat outside to eat! And I was eating the best freakin' burrito in the world. Chipotle totally made my day. And, as a side note to Greg's comment on cleanliness- All of the Chipotle's I've ever been in (In Denver, DC, and now here) are always spotless. I don't know how they do it- but it's always spic and span. And yes, there's beer. I saw some Negro Modelo and Corona in the fridge behind the cashier. This location also had a really fabulous staff. The guy who seemed to be in charge was pleasantly helpful and talkative- helping newbie Chipotle eaters figure out the menu (which is fantastically basic and simple- none of the overblown menu from Qdoba). Make the trip to Medford. If you don't love it, you don't know good food. (You'll get past the fact that they were bought out by McDonalds within your first few bites).

The first time I visited Chipotle I was in Austin. i was pleasantly surprised. It was good. But I didn't have as good of an experience at the location in Medford. i had one of their burritos and it was a bit off. Overall, I just think that its a bit too generic for me. But I think its still worth checking out since it's unique to in our area. P.S. No longer owned by McDonald's.

star 1. Good tasty food star 2. Good (& fast) service star 3. Good price star 4. F.W.I. Food with Integrity... = Grrrrrreat Ever stop at the counter, take a breath, and read the signs? I went in a handful of times and finally read their story. Their food is seasonal, family-farmed, sustainable, nutritious, naturally raised, hormone free, and organic. Cool right? That's what I thought and went on my way. These things finally had meaning once I watched Food, Inc. Highly recommended, but for those that aren't just know what you're eating is some high-quality stuff!

I love how people get on here and complain about what they get when they really don't know anything about food or the food industry in general. First off, someone on here complained about cilantro being in the rice and their hatred of cilantro. Well, guess what, cilantro is a very popular Mexican ingredient, so you might as well go somewhere Non-Mexican if you don't want it in your food. Secondly, if you don't like hot food, Mexican tends to not be the best food option for you. I know at Chipotle that the salsa has different degrees of spiciness, but the corn also is considered spicy. I believe it is medium. I thought there was one more ingredient they had, but I'm not sure. If both of these things are a problem for you, then the guac is gonna kill you. It has cilantro and jalepeno in it. Oh my! Thirdly, who was complaining about cold cheese? Really? Would you rather it be nasty, room temperature cheese? By the health department, it has to be either cool or it would have to be like nacho cheese (warmed). Seeing how they use shredded, which tends to be better on food anyway (mostly because it is fresh, unlike the canned stuff), you pretty much would have to use the cool shredded stuff. When you compare Chipotle to Qdoba, it isn't even a fair comparison. Chipotle is a million times better, simply for burrito quality. The ingredients at Qdoba are all wet. Your burrito should not be falling apart because the tortilla is too damp to hold the insides in. They don't seem to drain anything, which results in a very soggy burrito. That is not to be had in any kind of good burrito. This isn't considered Mexican food. It is more considered under the term Tex-Mex. You don't find real Mexican food in most of the country. We Americanize everything just because we don't like to eat the same styles of food. Personally, I don't discriminate on my food. It just has to be good. As a tidbit for you environmental people, Chipotle doesn't even have freezers, so you are not getting any frozen foods there. Also, they prep the food everyday starting at 7 am, at least at the locations I know of. Now my last comment. I have a baby, so where do I get the Stage 4 Chipotle food for her? Get her started early. :)

Oh man, I love this place...when I first moved here from NYC I was surprised that they didn't have Chipotle here. It is fast food, but made with care and just like Subway you pick the fillers that you want as you go down the line. The hot sauce is awesome and they load on the guac (it's extra 1.50 or something like that). Friendly staff and clean. There is plenty of parking and convenient to the wellington circle area. The reviews below give you the run down. PLEASE RUN TO THIS PLACE!! You won't regret it and I want more to open around Boston.

I visited this Chipotle for the first time on a free burrito day. The fact that we got a huge dinner for $5 (only paid for drinks and some chips n' guac) bumps it up to four stars, but the ugh location brings it down again. Not every day can be free burrito day, anyways. Also, when I went to chipotle.com to try to confirm the free burrito promotion before we went, I was unable to find a damn thing on their horrible, cryptic, flash-based shitpile of a website. Seriously, Chipotle, not cool. I do like the kind of industrial corrugated metal feel of the restaurant, and the fact that we found a table even though it was hella crowded. Burritos were huge and pretty tasty (although too heavy on cilantro for my taste), guac was amazing for a "fast food" place. The staff on the burrito assembly line were super friendly and helpful despite being swamped by green-clad freebie seekers. I tipped them a fair bit. Overall I'd say this is a solid option for a fast, cheap meal if you're in the area anyway, but not worth a special trip through the INTERSECTION OF DOOM at Rtes. 28 and 16. When the Davis one opens I might visit from time to time.

This burrito place is not bad but is not my favorite. I really like the fact that they use organic food products and that they are eco-friendly. I loved thier guacamole and chips but I was not feeling the burrito. First off, I simply ordered a pork burrito without any hot sauce and yet my burrito was pretty spicy. I normally wouldn't mind but I was not in the mood to have spicy food. Also, what bothered me the most is that I hate cilantro and thier rice was made with it and therefore my burrito was ruined. On the other hand my sister loved her burrito and really did not have much of a problem. I would recommend trying this place and I would give it a second chance.

I generally like the food at Chipotle for a border/Tex-Mex style of Mexican fast food. I sometimes find their chicken to be a bit wobbly, too many fat pieces. However, they do an excellent job with their carnitas. They overstuff their burritos, so I usually tell them to give me 1/2 the amount of meat that they normally give in a burrito. Their chips aren't all that great, I'd avoid paying for those. Extra points for having Mr. Pibb in the soda fountain.

I love this place. The ingredients are natural. I've never had a bad burrito here! Much better than Qdoba! The staff is friendly and they have unsweetened iced tea and the machine works (unlike at Qdoba half the time).

I love the food at Chipotle to begin with (all you "it's not authentic" haters can suck it; portions are huge, ingredients are natural, prices are reasonable, and it's *delicious*), but regarding this particular site: I've eaten here between 20 and 30 times over the past couple of years, and the experience has never been anything short of fantastic. In all that time, I've yet to encounter a staff member who wasn't happy and friendly, I've never suffered any crunchy rice or stiff beans or dry meat, I don't think I've ever even seen a messy table or a dirty bathroom. They broke my tortilla *once* and that was because I had them overstuff it with all the things I added. It's so rare to find a chain restaurant where the employees don't look and act like they feel like soulless cogs in a machine. I love coming here, even if I always manage to make myself sick by failing to take half my burrito home. I try, but it's too damn good. That's okay, it's worth the pain.

This is one of those West Coast/Mountain Time Area transplants that I would DEFINITELY keep. Awesome food, and nice, big burritos. Everything is organic, and it shows. I will never, EVER go to bulls**t Boloco, or questionable Qdoba for burritos again.

I haven't spent much time in Oaxaca but I would imagine that Chipotle's food is about as authentic as Kevin Costner doing a British accent, however I nonethless enjoy the burritos here. Burritos here are very big and they have many good options, the corn salsa in particular is quite good, and I love that Barbacoa. Weak spots would be the rice, just kind of plain white and a little blah, and the tortillas can be a little rubbery if you catch them on a bad day. And what's up with $1.75 extra for guac? Lame, but a fat guy like me should avoid guac anyway, so maybe that's a good thing. Definitely the best fast food option in this region of Medford, beats the heck out of the BoMa in the same plaza.

I have eaten from Chipotle a few times. The ingredients they use are definitely fresh, although I agree with the black beans being a bit too sweet and somewhat old tasting... The burritos are ginormous and explode at the seems...I have had a chicken and vegetarian one (the chicken was better). Although the ingredients are very fresh, it seems to be lacking the something special of Mexican food..offering mostly generic items. The prices average around $6. This is definitely a place to go if you need something quick and don't feel like eating some other gross, fattening fast-food like BK or McDonald's...this is a healthier option, which is nice to know. The people working the assembly line are generally nice and helpful.

I've loved every other Chipotle I've been to, but this one has something wrong with its black beans. They taste sweet for some reason. I used to eat at Chipotle in California almost every day, so I'm very attuned to how it should taste. Fix the beans. Please. Otherwise, five stars based on quality, consistency, taste, efficiency, and value. (And beer.)

Chipotle is the greatest fast food restaurant of all time. I am so, so happy that after three years of living in Boston, there's finally a Chipotle not too far away. Finally, I can get a delicious burrito with a double serving of Chipotle's hot red sauce, rather than settling for jalapenos and the not-very-hot "hot sauce" at Anna's. It takes nearly an hour to get there on the T from Brookline, but it's absolutely worth it. A little piece of Colorado heaven right in Medford.

  • J B.

A far better vegetarian burrito than Qdoba. Though I am not so fond of the fact that Chipotle is owned by McDonalds (and Qdoba owned by Jack In the Box) and it is nowhere near as good as boca grande or jose's. I would get one if I didn't feel like cooking and was in the area, but can't ever see myself craving one.

I eat out almost every meal. I typically dine fine or upmarket 2 to 3 times a week, so the rest are casual. I avoid fast food and chains, but I love Chipotle. I average 5-6 meals a week here. It's because of the quality of the ingredients, healthy options and control I have, cleanliness and decor, and customer service. I am amazed at the customer service. There are fine dining restaurants that could take lessons from them. I am greeted with a smile and a hello from at least one employee within a few seconds of approaching the counter, usually before I get there. Everyone smiles. They make an effort to remember you. This must be part of their training because new hires start saying "welcome back" within a few days. And to top it all off, the manager and other employees occasionally walk around asking guests if they are enjoying their meal. All this for an $8 meal! (I recently went to one of the top restaurants in Boston twice in one week having a long conversation with the bar manager only to return a few days later to no eye contact or recognition, and they have records of my reservations. The bill was $240 for two.)

I guess I should have known that it was a mistake to order anything other than a burrito here at Chipotle. I've heard talk of lines out the door and around the block for Chipotle burritos. But I was a dummy and ordered a taco salad. And it STUNK! First of all, there was no taco shell. It was a "salad bowl." Second of all, they loaded a very oniony salsa on top without even asking, and though I like fresh salsa, I am not a purple onion fan. The short story is that there was no way to avoid all of those spicy purple onions and their taste overpowered the taste of the rubbery spicy beef. And then there was the dressing. Yucko. It was oily and too-spicy instead of being creamy and mild to cut the spice of the beef. I guess I have my own idea of what a taco salad should be...I'm thinking Border Cafe taco salad. And I was truly disappointed with the Chipotle version. The one redeeming item I ordered -- a large bag of salty, fresh tortilla chips. But a chip's just a chip. I'm done with this place.

I love their burritos. They are nice and fat, but what I love most is the rice they use. I know, usually you don't think much of the rice when you eat a burrito, but they do it right.

Chipolte is awesome - they are a new breed of restaurant and we need more like this. They truly follow their claim of Food with Integrity and it is delicious and reasonably priced as well. No watery iceberg lettuce or industrial meats here. The guacamole is fresh and the salsas all tasty - plus they will give you whatever you like, not limit you to one. Great for vegans and meat-eaters alike. We have always done take out but the dining room is clean and they serve Negro Modelo beer. Worth the trip to Medford!!

It's kind of hard to write this because it's absolutely delicious but the people that work here are terrible. I have 20% hearing loss from when I was a child, it's difficult sometimes when there is background noise ie: people talking and/or music. That being said, I'm going to explain my normal routine. After waiting an extremely long time for the line to finally move, I move up to start my order. "Hey how's it going?" *blank stare* "Umm could I get a bowl please?" *loud establishment/loud music* "What kind of rice?" "Excuse me? Oh, no rice please" "WHAT KIND OF RICE." "NO RICE, PLEASE." "Beans?" "Black beans, please" "BEANS?" "BLACK BEANS, PLEASE." It pretty much goes down like whole line like this. What's worse is that I try to be extremely nice because I know what it's like to work with the public. I'm not expecting a full on conversation with people there but could you at least acknowledge that I'm speaking to you and saying thank you? Apparently that's too difficult. It's like dealing with robots that are programmed to only be rude. There was one woman in particular that really stuck out to me. Short, heavy-set and didn't wear a hat. She rolled my burrito up. After just staring in another direction, waiting for me to tell her what I wanted "Could I please have mild and hot, cheese, guac and sour cream?" She never spoke once or even looked in my general direction. I wish they'd wear name tags so that I could be specific when I write a formal letter of complaint about this place. Management never seems to care either, they're usually in back when I look to see if there is anyone else around to help move the lines that are nearly out the door. The only upside to this whole escapade is leaving. Cashiers seems generally decent, but I'm more happy that that's the last step before I'm out of this place.

This location has run out of cooked chicken twice on me, and I do not go that much. I thought I would give it another chance. Bad idea: This place is exasperating. So I try and get a "quick" burrito bowl at this train wreck of a location only to be greeted by sourpuss the manager at the burrito machine. (I assume he was filling in for someone on break.) It gets worse. So your register stops working and we all stand there for at least 15 minutes while seemingly nothing happens. Finally one of the brainiacs decides the 4 people at that have been waiting longest get a free meal. (That did not include me.) By the time they decided to do something like pull out a manual credit card slip my burrito was cold. I paid for it and ended up throwing it in the trash. Thanks for nothing. No apology for the crap service or inconvenience by anyone. The manager was cowering in his hovel in the back of the store. While waiting I got to stare at the filthy ceiling with dust still hanging off of it as it has been, oh for about two years. I went across the street to Qdoba...no issues. Too bad the food is delicious, but they cannot seem to manage the stores well. The experience left me DONE with Chipotle.

Damn you packed af in here. I mean on a Saturday afternoon it is a full house with the line almost getting out of the door. Glad they have a bunch of people on staff so the line get swiftly moving. Swiftly meaning it gets there whenever it can LOL. I can't believe I'm complaining about how stingy these guys are when they add on their rice. I always ask for extra rice for some reason, as if there wasn't enough carbs. The workers doe are really eh. A couple of them are really friendly at the beginning of the line LOL. Then towards the middle it gets saddening until you reach the register with a friendly person greets you with a smile.

Warning: if you order the quesadilla, make sure to specify you want the kids one on the menu! Or else they give you a "large" quesadilla (which didn't even have that much in it) and charge you double... And nothing comes with it! And it's not even on the menu!

Hands down one of the worst chipotles ever been to. What happened? I always went here for years then the old staff left and these incompetent employees were hired. The food is always old and stale, the attitude is horrible when they make your food, they never listen when you say "light on ___" and just add insane amounts of it anyways. Not to mention, cleanliness; have they heard of showers? There is a larger gentleman that works there that has his pants falling and smells horrid. It's frustrating considering it's the closest chipotle to me; I just want the same quality of food I get at the other locations! Please educate the staff on being better at their jobs or give them raises to maybe provide some incentive. It is a complete waste of money eating here unless you manage to get the two or three ladies who actually know how to make the food.

A friend has been begging me to try as I am a Qdoba ADDICT... So I go already with the "Im already comparing them to Qdoba attitude"... Get in and the menu instantly is MUCH smaller than Qdoba, there arent as many options with the 1/2 and 1/2 - They dont have Queso... WAIT, WHAT??!! They DONT have Queso - The experience might have been ruined there for me. I ordered the Chicken Burrito (Or Just bowl here) The chicken RIGHT AWAY almost tastier than Qdoba, the corn was good too.. The rice not so much, it seemed to taste just like Clumpy white rice with no flavor to me. The Grilled Veggies were DEF better than the Fajita veggies at Q (which I always pay more for and they are always cold)... The Guac and chips was decent, but again, NO QUESO?!?!?! All in all it was a decent bowl - But I would probably not frequent as often as Qdoba... I wish I could take their chicken & Corn Salsa and bring that to Qdoba and then I would be a happy girl... OOOOORRRR IF they got Queso I would learn to love them!

I like Chipotle. I like Chipotle a lot. This branch of the chain convinced me NOT to eat Chipotle. At least here. Every time I go here, I wait at least 20-30minutes. Service is extremely slow. No one really cares about what they're doing and the management of the store is nowhere to be found.

Food got my girl friend and I sick minutes after eating. Just ordered a burrito bowl and a burrito. The guacamole had huge chunks of un-ripe avocado in the burrito bowl but other than that it was ok. However the burrito was the problem. I never have had a problem with being over served but they put so much food on the burrito (without asking for double meat or veggies) that they couldn't close it. After waiting and watching three people attempt to wrap it and fail and make a scene I simply said "could you please just throw it in a bowl I am in a rush), the server replied " let me try a new wrap", after I repeated three times I don't want a new wrap I need to go I am in a rush and that it was fine the way it is he disregarded my request and did it anyways. The burrito still looks terrible and is not wrapped correctly and after he disrespected me he said "well that sucked but whatever just take it" and put in a bag. I had already paid and everyone in line was looking in disbelief, if I wasn't in a rush I would have asked for my money back. I hope others don't get treated this way. I always go to this chipotle but now I will not.

I've been to this location before and there's always a line out the door, they are SUPER SLOW. The food is good but there's nothing special about it. I was there for a half hour tonight waiting, and 10 of it was at the register because they only have ONE and there was a pickup order that was messed up. If you're going to have pick up at least have two registers. I'd rather drive across Medford to Tenoch and get a better meal, this was just convenient today.

Okay, let me start off by saying that Chipotle is one of my favorite quick, easy, tasty, inexpensive places I like to go to when I'm on the run and i'm feeling the grummbly in my tummy.. As soon as I get there I know exactly what my taste buds scream out for and thats the burrito bowel... My mouth is literally watering just thinking about it.. A perfect size for me bowl filled with rice, steak, guacamole, beans, and some other tasty things, all topped off with some cilantro... Its like a party in my mouth every bite and when I finish I am left with an empty bowl I would love to refill but at that point I am way to full to even consider such an act... Anyways the service here is generally nice.. They get you exactly what you want and they get the line moving... Although this place is good it has a reputation that I do admit is true... A couple of hours later I tend to feel pretty sick after my chipotle visits... I end up having stomach pains for a while and I wait it out for them to pass. I rarely go here because of this but when I do i enjoy the food until it comes back to haunt me later... If I were to choose a Mexican restaurant to take my friends to i definitely wouldn't do here because I have been to way better... This is just my yummy quick food spot.. But over all its pretty good and if you're up to it certainly give it a try...

Every time I go into this chipotle it is literally at the very LEAST a 20 minute wait. I've never seen any other chipotle go this slow. Any other chipotle I go to, when there is a long line it typically moves fast. That is not nearly the case for this one. Wayyy too slow.

This place serves great food. I have good experiences there. This one time, I had a guy serve me, not sure what his name was, but he was very friendly and even made a conversation and joke while attending my order. They are very quick to put what I want on my plate or burrito. They definitely satisfy you with the food they serve and everything is organized. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for cheap and good Mexican food. They add a lot and you always leave satisfied.

I go to this Chipotle a lot and I am disappointed to say on Veterans Day I ask the guy at the register if they are doing any discount or anything for military, he replied back "are you police?" How does the police get discount on their meals but on Veterans Day the military, the people who are serving your country so you can be free, do not get anything. I love your food Chipotle, but I am very disappointed out of one day or any day of the year you don't support the military.

I've been to many chipotles. I love chipotle. But I hate this chipotle. The staff is completely incompetent, the service is slow, even when the line is short, and they have NEVER rolled my burrito properly. They always make suck a hack job of it that it's hard to eat.

Idk what's up with the negative reviews. I come here often and have to say this is prob my favorite restaurant in medford. Good food and very friendly staff. I strive to bring anyone who hasn't been here for a lunch or dinner date. Definitely a medford gem. Would recommend.

Its pretty decent burrito joint. I agree with some of the commenters that pricing could be a little cheaper. The bowl is also pretty good and I usually get the steak because they have just the right amount of juiciness and fat on them. Better than Qdoba in my opinion but has no chance against Anna's Tequaria.

Chipotle is absolutely the bomb. The Medford location always keeps it clean, fresh and delicious for their customers. Prices have gone up slightly but I am happy that I am supporting local farms. When you go there make sure to try a half and half in a burrito bowl.

Don't get me wrong..I love chipotle. I always get a veggie burrito bowl to go. The only downfall of this location is that the ingredients are always running low..so they give you less food...and no one likes getting less food! Please give me a scoop of guacamole next time and not just a tablespoon!

    (3)
  • Michael C.

Decent mexican franchise. I always enjoy some good mexican. I won't go into details on their menu as it is pretty standard. i would say Chipotle is on the expensive side, considering you could drive 10 minutes to East Boston and get the same stuff for half the price at a family owned place. This is still probably some of the best chain mexican around though.

  • Kristen D.

I love Chipotle! This location is decent, even when there is a long line, it still moves pretty quickly. Employees are always nice. Just hate that they charge an extra 1.95 for guacamole and you don't even get that much of it. There is a qdoba across the way, but Chipotle wins, hands down.

  • Greg D.

Extremely inconsisant in size of portions here. Expect a line. The staff is very Friendly I had originally started writing a review to this place a few months ago and was going to give it 4 stars. Two visits in a row though, they allowed dogs into their "Restaurant" if you want to call it one. The management here and corporate refuse to have a clean restaurant that follow food safety laws. If you like unclean food, this is the place to go to.

Chipotle has always been my go-to place for a quick delicious meal, and this restaurant does not disappoint. Have been there several times, when it was busy and when things were quiet. The restaurant is well managed, even during the busiest times, the line moves quickly.

DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE! Almost every single Sunday I get a Chipotle burrito bowl. I have been doing this for almost the entire time the store has been open. The last time I was there the cashier ran my card multiple times saying it was not working...guess what, I was charged everytime he ran the card. Then I got the total run around trying to get those charges removed. As of right now they still will not remove the multiple charges and now I am trying to work with my credit card company to get it taken care of. Not a great way to reward loyal customers.

Hands down my favorite burrito place! Big hurray for fresh, high quality ingredients, succulent meat, flavorful variety of salsas, reasonable prices and great customer service!! I love the tender and delicious: No added growth hormones, No antibiotics treated, Vegetarian feed with no animal by-products meat and poultry--Quality counts and Chipotle delivers. The roasted chili corn salsa, tomatillo red & green chili salsas add spice and flavor to every dish. The staff at this location is always friendly and fast. The dining area and burrito assembly line are both super clean & well organized. The burrito bowls w/ beans and fajita toppings are my favorite--big enough for 2 meals. Deliciousness in every bite with plenty of leftovers--worth every penny!!

Yes! I love my regular Carnitas. Chipotle is a great concept. All of your food is presented in front of you. No gimmicks! Have as much as you want for one flat price! Everything is fresh and organically raised! Wonderful taste. If I had it my way, I would make all the Chipotles 24/7, so I could have this for breakfast, brunch, lunch, linner, dinner, and dessert!

You know, coming from California, I thought I was going to dislike this Chipotle as it wasn't truly "authentic." However, I can kick myself off my high horse because my burrito was actually pretty excellent! The guacamole was fantastic and selection of salsas was on point, too! I really don't have anything negative to say about the quality of the food; one star was taken off because the restaurant was a bit dirty (wish they had jumped on that when the lunch time rush came through). The line was a bit long (probably 13 minutes) but I think it was well worth it. Considering its location (Medford) I'd say this is a pretty solid burrito establishment! Well done!

Gimmea free burrita, and I will bite. Along with it seems many other patrons in that evening, I took advantage of recent free burrito offer. I've managed to be a Chipotle virgin up to this point and figured this was the perfect time to reverse that. It takes about 3 Chipotle staff members on the assembly line to make this baby. Naturally raised chicken (+1 point), lime rice, black beans, a couple salsa choices (mild and a splash of hot for me), sour cream, white cheese. All nestled together warmly in a flour tortilla. I took my newborn home and unwrapped the swaddling (foil) and took a bite. Not too bad. Ok, onward... woah, woah, why so much rice?! And where is the flavor? Baby also had a cold cold heart of sour cream and cheese that did not manage to permeate the rest of the ingredients and remained a mass unto itself. It takes time and at least a little bit of care to make a good baby, this was more wham, bam, gracias ma'am, fare. Thank you for the sustenance and your pleasant staff, but I won't be back to pay next time.

I ordered 3 beef tacos, all of them were cooked on the outside, none were cooked in the inside. I squeezed one chunk and blood started to dripped, so I then cut it open and it was RAW! Not medium well done, RAW! I also ordered Chips and they were stale and way over salted! I couldn't even eat them! This place is way overrated! Not even close to authentic Mexican food!

The food is great and if you dont get sour cream or gauc and any of the chips. Just rice veggies and chciken or steak is a clean healthy low fat meal.Good stuff. The only reason why i dont give it five stars is its always busy and I hate to wait. But I always go there at least once per week if not twice.

First of all this location is the best Chipotle ever! They constantly make their food fresh and their employees are amazing! I am always greeted with a smile and have never had a bad experience. I am a regular, they know my order to a T which is always nice. Just don't go to the Quincy location and you'll be fine- never had a good experience there.

Almost every time I go there I struggle just to add as little more rice .. I'm willing to pay for it but they don't allow it coz its not on the menu .. So I ask for extra on the plate .. They make you feel like a homeless guy who is getting free food .. My last visit was the worst .. I asked for 4 burrito bowls .. I asked for the extra rice he added just a little .. Then they pass the bowls to the next person .. Now they want you to hear what both of them are saying and respond at the same time .. I responded to one of them and the other response was the wrong answer coz that wasn't what she asked me .. So she repeated herself again but with a higher voice as if I'm one of the workers .. At the cashier I paid then one of the employees asked the cashier how much is that .. He said 37 .. Then he replied with "wow that's a lot if money" .. Weather I'm right or it was just me .. My visit wasn't pleasant at all .. And I'm not going back here again .. Don't get me wrong .. The staff is ok .. But they just need to pay attention to what they are saying in front of the costumers and please don't rush costumers .. Some of us only can concentrate on one thing at a time .. I'm giving it two stars coz if the amount of rice they put and the way the staff dealt with me in my last visit. At the end I went home and found the order wasn't the way I wanted .. They added Lettuce to two of the bowls which I said they shouldn't .. And it was like three layers .. To cover up the shortage in rice.

How much do they love cilantro? It's in everything rice salsa guacamole. Cilantro is a strong spice and they just use too much of it. Not everyone loves cliantro, please make it an option to add it.

I know it's corporate, and I like to support the community-based burrito shops... especially those that are BYOB... but Chipotle simply has the best burritos. They are biggest and tastiest I've had thus far. This particular Chipotle location, though, was a mildly creepy. I'm sure the atmosphere changes when it is busier, but the staff stood behind the counter and stared at us as we ate. Maybe I had a booger, who knows... the food was still awesome. Oh they serve beer too.

I don't know why exactly, but if I don't eat here at least once a week, I get very cranky, cantankerous, and just downright unpleasant to be around. Some might call my love for chipotle burritos an addiction, but I say I can quit anytime I want! I tend to mix it up between steak and chicken, and I was pleased when I discovered they are somehow both just as delicious. I L-O-V-E their rice (I always ask for extra, even though it usually compromises the integrity of the tortilla when wrapped), their corn salsa is a delightful medly of flavors, and the steak is so tender it's beyond human comprehension. After Chipotle, burritos everywhere else just don't taste as good.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
