I love this place! Their deli sandwiches are great, and I absolutely love their french fries, they are thick cut steak fries and they fry them up perfectly. I love cafeteria style places because you can see exactly what you are getting. Honestly, the vegetables are probably canned, but I love this place just the same. It is truly home cooking. They have wonderful Greek dishes as well. The workers there are so friendly and accommodating. They always offer to help you to your table with your food.

This place is okay. Was up in Lynn for business and stopped for breakfast. Got a standard western omelet meal which came with home fries and toast. Omelet was a little drab, nothing special. Also thought the portion was smaller than I am used to. Home fries were good. Also got a side of bacon which was fine. Prices are decent but overall it's just your average breakfast/lunch joint with no special features or creativity. I have a similar place near where I live that puts this place to shame quality wise so I guess I'm thinking of that when I say meh to this place.

Very friendly place to eat. The foods here are very well made. Especially for breakfast. I ordered banana pancakes and they put real bananas onto my pancakes. They also serve big portions for you. I definitely couldn't finish my meal and had to take the rest home. Brother's deli accepts cash only. So have your paper money ready. If you want good breakfast? Try brother's deli.

I feel pretty ashamed of myself. I've lived in Lynn for 3 years and just today finally decided to give them a try. I've been missing out for sure. I got a Reuben to-go which happens to be my favorite sandwich. Reasonable priced at $8 and some change. Came with two pickles on the side. The sandwich was totally stacked with meat. The bread was good, the dressing awesome and the sauerkraut was delicious. I can't in good conscious give it a 5 star based off only one visit, but I will amend once I try more. I certainly will be trying more from this establishment. Thumbs up.

This is an update... read the original for this to make any sense... This place is still great, just the things below have cost it a star. It is with great sadness that I deduct a star from this place. I was originally teetering between giving it four or five, and now the five becomes a four. So, why am I deducting a star? First, the fries now come in smaller portions, there is still a generous helping, and it cuts back on waste, but still, decreasing portion sizes are not a good indicator. Second, I've realized the french toast (as stated in last review) is not the greatest I've ever had. Third, the gyro tends to be inconsistent, (sometimes balance of ingredients is way off) and while I once had it with perfectly cooked lamb and pork, I once had it with beef - which was chunky and chewy (possibly undercooked) Fourth, Bacon is now cooked and stored in a container on the griddle (still fresh, but not hot off the griddle fresh) Finally, while I have never gotten sick, some cooks here cook without gloves. In a clean kitchen (which this is) I have no problems with cooks not wearing gloves. However, giving a handshake and then continuing cooking seems a bad idea (not knowing where the guy's hands have been)

Outstanding for breakfast lunch or dinner. My mouth is watering just writing the review. I've known this place for a long time and have luckily just returned to the area. Read the other top reviews and enjoy!!

Last week, I had a very unfortunate encounter with a Corned Beef Sandwich at Persey's Place in Plymouth, where the menu actually challenged diners to compare their Corned Beef Sandwich with any other in the country.... Well, to make a long story short, after that insult to my taste buds, I couldn't stop thinking about the Corned Beef Sandwiches at Brother's Deli of Lynn, which had initially come to mind when presented with Persey's challenge. Brothers of Lynn is sort of an old fashioned cafeteria style restaurant. You enter the line, picking up a tray and silverware (unless you're getting to go), and move along through the cold and hot stations where attendants will serve whatever items you choose. The first station is the sandwich board, where you specify the details of sandwiches, salads and other short-order items. Besides the excellent Corned Beef, there are several specialty sandwiches (all are $5.75) with names like "Madison" and "Scollay Square" that add various ingredients in classic combinations that result in delicious sandwiches. Today, I chose the "New Yorker", which adds Coleslaw, Swiss Cheese, and Russian Dressing to a hefty portion of lean and tender Corned Beef. Of course, such a perfect sandwich comes with a perfect dill pickle. For an additional $2.75, I added a side of Potato Salad. It's actually a huge bowl of Potato Salad, and very delicious too. Not just dreary chunks of potato with too much mayonnaise, Brothers of Lynn's Potato Salad is a creamy mixture of potato chunks and mashed potatoes, seasoned with a tangy dressing that makes it very yummy. My bottom line comparison of the awful sandwich in Plymoth, was that if Brothers of Lynn's Corned Beef Sandwich rated four stars, that place didn't deserve even one. And today, my taste buds were indeed reassured that corned beef does not have to be dried up and horrible. So there, Persey. If you don't believe me, just try comparing your Corned Beef Sandwich to Brother's of Lynn..... please!

This is an old school style family deli and its awesome. I went hear before doing security for a Peter Framton concert, and I was very impressed. I ordered a Roast Beef sandwich and it was fresh sliced and piled high on a pretty decent roll. I also got some french fries, nothing special their just frozen steak fries. Its a good stop if you are in the area but its not worth a trip because its pretty simple.

I have come to the conclusion that whenever a restaurant is called "Brothers," it is always owned by Greek or Greek-American guys, always is a cafeteria setup, and always, always serves humungous portions of filling, wholesome and tasty -- but not fancy -- food. The Brothers on Market St., Lynn, is no different. I eat there when I'm waiting for my vehicle to get serviced over at Goodyear, or taking a break from other downtown Lynn errands, and I try something different each time. The BBQ chicken is delish, and I wonder whether the leg is really from an ostrich or something, because I didn't think they could grow chickens that big to get a thigh/drumstick that huge. Stuffed peppers were a tad overcooked so the peppers were pale and a little mushy, which is how I always expect them at any Brothers deli/restaurant, in any town, but there are two to a serving, the filling can be cooked forever and will still be tasty (rice/hamburg/a touch of herbs and spices), the size is generous and the sauce is yummy. With a mound of mashed spuds and cooked, sliced carrots, it's a big meal and I took a styrofoam box of it home and got two more meals out of it. The desserts include Greek-style rice pudding that is creamy and not too sweet, and a selection of more humdrum stuff like Jell-o and commercially made cakes and pies. But so what. It's what you get in this sort of place, and it's fine. The coolest thing about the Brothers in Lynn is that it seems to be the lunchtime hub for the local businessmen and the politicians from City Hall nearby. They all work each other's tables, shaking hands or air-kissing, hobnobbing, talking shop. One time I was there, the owner of a local lumber store was meeting with an aide from the governer's committee on low-cost housing, and they were talking about planning a public-service project. Then a couple of local bigwigs stopped by to schmooze, and at another table, a bunch of high-power City-Hallers were laying out their next strategy. It was like Brother's was the Roman Forum...er.. Greek Forum? :)

Food is this Restaurant's specialty forget the waitress as there is none forget waiting for your food as you have to pick it up, It's not luxurious but who cares when the food your eating is luxury in your taste buds. At the break of dawn it opens up and all day are people walking up ordering Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Caution as its very busy during lunch time but don't worry it takes about 3 mins for them to make sometime fresh right in front of you.

I've been eating here since I could remember. The food is great. They have an excellent chicken pot pie, my favorite there. Very roomy inside, and at times the line can seem daunting, but they go quick, because the cooks are fast and consistent. Brothers team of employees are all very welcoming, and the owner is pretty much always there with a smile waiting to greet. Its as if you've arrived home. There is not much else to say, Its a favorite spot!

If you are interested in a quick meal without sacrificing quality this is the place. In addition to a great breakfast menu I will often choose a fresh chicken kabob salad with a generous portion of feta or a stacked Reuben.

This is my last trip here. I don't care how good the food is. The cooks don't wear any gloves. I didn't even notice any type of hand washing. Their hands are everywhere touching everything including your food.

what's not to like -- all day breakfast, made in moments while you wait -- cafeteria style. straight up deli/diner food. Good portions, always several people in here. Reasonably priced. best pickles ever.

This place is great. As I've said in other reviews, it's diner food, so don't come expecting amazing coffee, fancy bread, etc. But if diner food is what you're looking for (as I often am), this is a terrific place. Great selection of food (breakfast all day!), friendly, efficient staff, and a diverse clientele that makes me proud to be a Lynner. It's a classic. Note--cash only, but there's an ATM there.

Very fast, very friendly with your requisite diner food with a Greek twist. Locanico sausage and feta are stars here (yum!). Proud to be open "every day except Christmas" in the heart of downtown Lynn. Check it out next time you're looking for some quick diner eats.

Brothers Deli Is an all around great place to catch a bite to eat. The food is served cafeteria style, get a tray get in line and figure out what you want. They have a wide selection of prepared food when you get there, the choices change daily. They also will prepare just about any kind of sandwich you want. Basically it';s a great place to get some good home cooked comfort food. They also do breakfast and will cook up pretty much anything you could ask for. Personally my favorites are the baked stuffed chicken or a good old turkey club.
