This is good place to get a good meal! I had lobster mac and cheese which was good. Nothing over the top! If your looking for gourmet keep driving. Can't complain comfort food with good company. A bit pricey but we come back. Nice bar atmosphere with local folk and a dining area. Service good...place clean. Can play Keno in the bar and listen to all the fun conversations of the customers.

Waited almost an hour for my food when I finally got it the chicken was rubbery and the mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy. The portions were very small for a very high price . Left the place hungry.

Food quality is usually very good. Twin lobsters are always a good bet. App specials always change (Gorgonzola buffalo pizza..yum). Garden salad was small and plain though. A separate bar in the back is usually lively and the drinks are good.

We have been to Barbers frequently over the course of years and have experienced some good meals, as well as some awful meals. One day as I was cleaning up my desk, I found a twenty year old gift certificate. We thought it was cool to find it being so old. We also thought we'd still be able to use it, since restaurant gift cards do not expire. When we showed the waitress the gift card she thought she'd better ask the owner Trish about it. Trish did not honor the gift card even though she was the person that had signed it twenty years ago. Her excuse was that she didn't own the restaurant at the time and that it was a different owner. Wonder if we'll be going back there anytime soon? I doubt it.

There should be negative stars available. After many years of tolerating mediocrity. Tonight the ultimate was reached. After getting another mediocre meal and attempting to eat it sanyways , after telling the waitress it was dull and cold after dumping the remants int he serving dish told the waitress that we were not pqaying for meal. The manager came over with the dish and basicay said we ate too complain. He refused too take it off the bill. Threaten to call the cops if we didn't pay and more. In others words I guess the two ladies with me were trying to steal the lousy food, at least the part they didn't dump in the dish. Save yourself the grief

This place is awful.. Ordered take out Prime Rib..was supposed to be 1 lb.. Most of it was bone and Fat!! It was WAY overcooked.. Also ordered crab cakes.. They were frozen and tasted freezer burned. They forgot cole slaw that we ordered. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! Gross!

We came to Barber's Crossing for Father's day and were all very disappointed. The prices are very high, the portions are very small and the food is just plain bad. The service wasn't terrible though I did feel like every time we had to ask our server for refills we were bothering him? I did however have a serious problem with my meal and would not eat it(this may have been avoided if the menu gave descriptions)and our server was awesome about removing it from our bill. (I'm sorry but this was not quiche however.) The salad was tiny and pretty much only large awkward pieces of iceberg lettuce. One grape tomato, one piece of red cabbage and 6 croutons:$5.99.Really??? There were 6 adults in our party and everyone agreed we should have gone somewhere else and will not go back.

The food quality and portions seem to vary greatly when ordering take-out vs. dining in at Barber's. I've ordered take-out three or four times from Barber's during the past few months (due to my elderly mother's periodic inability to dine in), and each time something was not quite right. You have to check your bag(s)/container(s) when picking the food up, for sure. Portions are much smaller (if they even get them right at all), especially when it comes to sides, and forget desserts all together (especially the strawberry shortcake). As far as dining in is concerned, we've noticed changes as well, as far as quality and prices go. If it wasn't for my mom's fondness for their fish and chips, I would not be going to Barber's at all anymore.

We went there for the first time last night. I had high hopes, as we were led to our table by a friendly hostess. We were greeted by an equally friendly waitress who took our orders promptly. I ordered clam chowder as a starter, and it was pretty darn good. Probably second best I've had. So, I was expecting an amazing dinner. Amazing dinner it was not. I ordered baked, stuffed shrimp. I guess I should have asked what the shrimp was stuffed with, because I was expecting something along the lines of crab or at least onions and herbs along with breading. (There was absolutely no description on the menu, by the way.) What I got was far from what I expected, and actually pretty underwhelming. I got 4 measly shrimp, all overcooked to the point of being rubbery, all "stuffed" with a huge, tasteless lump. The stuffing was made of breading, butter, and that's it. No seasoning, no herbs, not one sign of anything but breading and butter. The plate wasn't even visually appealing either. Those 4 shrimp were served with your choice of 1 side. I chose mashed potatoes. How hard is it to make mashed potatoes? These weren't seasoned one bit. They were served to me in a tiny bowl with 2 pats of butter on top that hadn't even been removed from their wrapper. My husband ordered a rib eye, which again came with 1 choice of sides, he got a small bowl of corn. The steak was a poor cut of meat, very tough, and again, no seasoning. Are the cooks allergic to seasoning?? There wasn't even salt on the french fries that came with my daughter's hot dog. We certainly won't be back. Which is a shame, since we live very close. Yes, the staff was very nice, but my 5 year old can cook a better meal than that at home. I also feel that $15.99 was a bit too much to be paying for 4 rubbery, overcooked shrimp with lumps of breading on them and a small bowl of under seasoned potatoes.

We have been there many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly; without ring too friendly and the food is delicious.

My family and I just went here for like the fifth time. The young waitress was so nice and friendly and had a great attitude, probably the best service I've had in these parts so far. She suggested the Wachusett Blueberry Ale. It was delicious. Then I ordered the grilled tuna and I must say that it was the best tuna steak I've had in a long time. I've been enjoying the left-overs for a couple days. Great job all around. Please keep it up. There are not a lot of good, fun-time adult and kid friendly places in these parts that also have great food. Sam, Spencer.
