This place is a gem, absolutely darling. It is exactly what i always want a B&B to be! Friendly, quiet, quaint and homey. The hosts, Mike and Nick, are great. They remembered all of our names, had great recommendations for places to go and they make a mean breakfast. I mean, really. I went to bed each night wondering what delicious goodies would be waiting in for me in the morning. The grounds of the inn are spectacular. The yard has plenty of chairs to lounge in, a hammock (!) and a coy pond. We even got to feed the fish! Even if this place wasn't a 5 minute walk to the beach and 15 min walk into town - which it is - It is a place and experience not to be missed!!

Attending my first Cape Cod Writers Conference as a faculty member, I shopped carefully before booking the Green Mountain Inn. And what a great choice it was. Some places are charming, others have wonderful grounds, still others a terrific breakfast. Green Mountain has it ALL in spades. There was even a little fridge in the room! Still more impressive is the welcoming presence of Nick and Mike - I can honestly say I have never felt more welcome and taken care of, and I've stayed at B&B's in at least twenty states, and on dozens of occasions. They really seem to enjoy their job - Nick's cheerful greeting first thing in the morning chased away the blues of this night owl (and they serve breakfast until 10, which is fantastic for people like me.) FABULOUS job, guys! I only regret that in 2012 the Conference has booked a resort hotel in Hyannis, so I'll be expected to stay there. But I plan to drop by and say hi - Nick and Mike are the kind of people you just want to see again. You guys ROCK! C.E. Lawrence Thriller Writer

My boyfriend and I visited the Green Mountain Inn this past weekend for the second time, having spent a weekend in Hyannis a few years ago. Our strongest memories of the Inn were the incredibly hospitable owners, Nick and Mike, as well as the delicious breakfast, and we were not disappointed when we went back. The rooms at the Inn are quaint but well-equipped (A/C, fridge, TV, etc) and very well maintained. While we haven't had much of a chance to explore them on either visit, the grounds are lovely as well. More importantly, Nick and Mike are always on site to help answer any questions about the local area and provide advice about ferries, restaurants, beaches, etc. They even went so far as to drive us to the Nantucket ferry, saving us $20 in parking fees. Nick had also noticed that another couple, who were visiting from Europe, had a rental car with a burnt out tail light, so went to great lengths to help the family contact the rental company and exchange the car. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful Nick and Mike are and how comfortable they make you feel throughout your stay at the Inn. The Inn itself is perfectly situated between Main Street in Hyannis and Sea Street Beach, where my boyfriend and I got engaged this past weekend. I couldn't think of a better place to stay during such an amazing weekend!

Everyone!! You must experience Green Mountain Inn. Bucket list requirement. The location is fantastic. You're only 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. The rooms are charming and romantic. The yard, koi pond, and covered porch area give you a sense of relaxation and make you appreciate the environment....Nick and Mike are excellent hosts and great cooks!! They made us feel right at home! Bottom line....Green Mountain Inn will remind you to enjoy the moments.... that life's moments aren't always stressful.

The location was a perfect place for our hub as we toured cape cod. Nick & Mike were true examples of B&B hosts. They cooked a great breakfast and provided details and recommendations on things to do and places to visit. We had an awesome time and will be back. Loved their dogs Duke & Jagger.

Highly recommended! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. The location is ideal, the room was just what we were looking for (we were upstairs, had a private bath and mini-fridge), the price was fair, but most importantly Nick and Mike are tremendously good people. This was our first trip lodging in Bed & Breakfasts, and after meeting other owners it was very clear that these two are special. Breakfast was home cooked, delicious, and different each morning. Nick's potatoes are a staple with each breakfast, and believe me when I say you will not grow tired of these potatoes! Ahh, I can still taste them! I had a plan to steal a few and bring them back home to try and reverse engineer the seasoning - but I ate them instead. It was impossible not to. Being new to the area, Nick happily took us through the map and informed us of not only places of particular interest, but practical information such as where to park, &tc. This is not the kind of service you'll get everywhere. We didn't really chill too much (we like to keep busy) but they have a very well kept yard that is perfect for reading, mid-day cocktails, and afternoon naps (in whatever order you'd like). Enjoy your stay!

My girlfriend and I stayed here earlier this week for a quick mini vaca in Cape Cod. This place has an amazing location...you can walk to the beach and the Main Street part of town is very close too. The BnB was super cute and everything was just as it should be. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had a bathroom to ourselves and our room had a mini-fridge which came in handy for some bottles of water. There was also a TV in the room. There was a little incident with the smoke alarm going off during the day but the hosts were very accommodating and did everything they could to take care of the problem which they did quickly. While it was loud, it really wasn't a big deal and it gave us a reason to go check out the yard which has an awesome koi pond and we relaxed for a bit in the hammock. Another thing worth noting is that even though there is wireless internet included, for some reason we couldn't get a signal strong enough to use it in our room. I am not sure how much control they have over this though and we were able to use the internet downstairs. The hosts were amazing and super friendly...we felt right at home. The breakfast was delicious!!! Seriously...don't miss out, these guys can cook. =) So tasty!! I would high recommend this place to anyone staying in Hyannis and it's certainly where I'll stay whenever I return.

We booked a stay the Green Mountain Inn based on reviews on Yelp (and possibly TripAdvisor). Unfortunately, Hurricane Irene didn't want us coming to the Cape that particular weekend, but Mike (the owner) was super understanding and immediately rebooked us for another weekend. We arrived early Saturday morning to check in (around 8am) before taking the Ferry to the Vineyard. Nick let us check in, but our room wasn't ready yet. We decided to walk to the ferry (he let us leave our car in the parking lot), so Nick gave us a map and drew directions for us. Our ferry ended up getting canceled, so we got back to the B&B a bit earlier than expected. Our room wasn't quite ready yet, so we sat in the back, next to the Koi pond. I read, my husband slept - we both enjoyed the beautiful, sunny day and the relaxing atmosphere of the fountains. By the way, those fish are HUGE!!! Once we got into our room, we were very happy. A DVD player would be nice, but hey - most people aren't in the room that much - they're out exploring the Cape! The breakfast menu was more limited than other B&Bs we've stayed in, but those are larger and tend to have buffets. What we did have (veggie omelettes made-to-order, bacon & sausage, homefries, toast and a side of grapes) was DELICIOUS. Great job, Nick! Nick could not have been friendlier or more accommodating! He gave us some recommendations for restaurants and was always chatty, even when he was busy! We met Mike briefly and he was very friendly and helpful as well. I definitely recommend the Green Mountain Inn B&B!

came here in april for the cape cod 1/2 marathon. Place was great! they have two adorable dogs and are the most pleasant B&B owners you could meet. They gave us a free upgrade to a more private room, which was so nice! Only there for a night and didnt have a chance to try the food (had to get to the race) but place was clean, owners were friendly. and overall A+!

After a last minute change in plans, Tripadvisor and Yelp steered me toward the very reasonably priced (and highly rated) Green Mountain Inn. Thank you very much! My daughter & I both smiled when we pulled into the gravel driveway of a quaint Victorian home with a beautifully landscaped yard. I practically hugged the host when he offered to carry our 100 pound bags up the narrow flight of stairs to our room. Green Mountain Inn was built in 1853, for a local ship captain and is now a restored inn with several cozy rooms (most with private baths). It's ideally located between Hyannis' Main Street, which is lined with boutique stores and restaurants, and the beach. Nick, our savior, is one of the most gracious hosts I have encountered in the past decade of travel. He will serve you up a hearty breakfast and some great recommendations of things to see in Cape Cod.

My husband and I just spent a delightful weekend at Green Mountain Inn. We stayed there a few years back also. It is conveniently located close to beach and to main street, Hyannis. Mike and Nick are such nice guys, they made us feel very welcome. We had breakfast each morning on the deck, it was delicious. These guys run a great B and B. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a chilled, laid back atmosphere. Mike & Frances nyc

We stayed there for our Cape Cod vacation, and it was good. Mike and Nick, who run the place, do a great job of keeping everyone happy, serving full American breakfast, advising on attractions, driving their guests to Nantucket ferry and so on. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed; there is a koi pond and a picnic table in the yard. We also had couple of romantic dinners on the patio. And the best thing was, it's five-minute walk to the nearest beach!

My family and I stayed at Green Mountain Inn last year along with our dogs. They treated us wonderfully so we went back again this year. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Mike and Nick are not only helpful with the best places to go for beaches and dining experiences, they also make delicious breakfasts! The oatmeal pancakes are to die for, and the home fries are awesome!
