To give Bangkok Kitchen less than 5 stars should be a crime! Best Thai food ever! I am only on the Cape during the summer and find myself CRAVING this food when I'm away. Their portions are great, service is excellent and their Thai teas are only $2! That's the cheapest I've ever had them! My boyfriend and I can have out full of an appetizer, meal and a couple Thai teas for less than $30! I've gone with several different groups of friends and have tried several things on the menu: curry, pad see eww, golden triangles, crab rangoons...and everything is DELICIOUS. If you're anywhere on the Cape you should go. It's worth the drive!

Great food, but not many tables to sit. I ordered Basil Fried Rice with chicken and mango. I loved it, though it could be less salty. My husband ordered their Crispy Pad Thai. If i have to rate it will give it a 2 out of 5.

Never thought I would have such delicious and authentic thai on cape cod and I'm from NYC! Two thumbs up- order pad see ew and curry. You will love this place!

Quaint, delicious, affordable, and family owned. The food is very good and great portions. Their soups are tangy and awesome. It's a small place with a few tables, so come early!

Delicious Thai food for a reasonable price. Small cozy place, but not upscale. Only downside is no alcohol beverages served

Love this place, they greet me by name now. Very nice people, the food is consistently delicious. I'll keep coming back for sure!

Well it's our first time in Cape Cod so we relied solely on these Yelp reviews! Thanks so much everyone, this place is a fabulous find. Tom Yum Goong (4/5) - a bit too salty, but it was also really sour which is a great thing. Tom Kha Gai (4/5) - pretty good! The chicken was dry, but it hit the spot. Larb Gai (3.5/5) - alright; I feel like this is a total hit or miss depending on your love for coriander and other herbs. Duck Choo Chee (4.5/5) - totally fantastic! Tasted delicious, was well seasoned, and the duck was super succulent. Whole Basil Fish (5/5) - AMAZING! So, so, so good. Hands down the best dish of the night--crispy outside, tender inside, and that sauce is to die for. Pad Kee Mao (3.5/5) - Pretty good and damn spicy! Wish there were less veg and more noodles, but flavour wise it's spot on. The Fried Banana with Coconut Ice Cream was an awesome way to end the meal. We also had two Thai iced teas but they were nothing special. Service wise, honestly, we did run into a couple problems. We made a reservation for 7:30 and our tables were 15 minutes late, the place is pretty cramped, parking in the back is suboptimal, we had to ask several times for water refills, and there was an issue with the machine when paying. HOWEVER, they were friendly and kind, the small space is actually quite cozy, you can park across the street by the staples, and you can always bring cash for ease of payment! Point is, come here! Great change from all the seafood we've had (gasp!).

Well, my review might be tainted. It was a special evening for us. Really enjoyed the food, everything was absolutely delicious.

Mighty fine cuisine in a mighty small space. Pretty sure the kitchen takes up 65% of this 9 table restaurant but don't let that fool you my friend. The cuisine is as authentic as the quality of the ingredients are farm fresh. I believe it's family run as the same smiling faces are there to greet you, take your order efficiently and ensure you have a wonderful experience. After a lousy experience earlier in my travels this month with fresh rolls, I gave them a shot here and they did not disappoint. Obviously freshly made and when paired with their dark peanut sauce, only good things can come from it. I also enjoyed the Massaman curry which was perfectly portioned and so good that I didn't think twice about eating it with a spoon by itself. Poor thing(s) didn't stand a chance.

A very cute and friendly Thai restaurant in Hyannis that is of equal quality to the Thai restaurants that I have experienced in NYC, and a lengthy menu of typical Thai dishes. The specials, with many duck options, looked enticing, but I chose the lemongrass soup and the cashew chicken stir fry which came in a substantial portion and very tasty. My server / host was extremely helpful and attentive despite the late hour that I arrived.

Honestly the best Thai food I've ever had, and I like to consider myself a guru! Came here on a whim while in town for business and I'm happy I followed my intuition. I had the pad see yoo lunch special with a Thai iced tea. A very healthy portion of both totaled a check of $11.95 and it was honestly the best I've ever had. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavor was spot on. Also, the staff is so friendly and this little place is cute and quant yet authentic. My fellow patrons were ALL regulars, needless to say is a sign of consistent quality. Overall- def a must try. I wish they had one of these in Jersey!! PROS : Basically everything besides... CON: Small inside but who cares for food that good!

Great place if you love Thai food! I ordered Thai iced tea (a must have) and pineapple fried rice with beef + I added a little bit of hot sauce. Service is amazing, food is amazing, and prices are great. Highly recommended!

  • Jared B.

Do NOT drive past this place!! It sure does look divey, but is very welcoming and cute on the inside. What a great little Thai place! I got Tom Kha Gai and chicken wings to-go. Both flavorful and delicious. Super-friendly service, and FAST! Extra parking in the back, if the 2 spots in the front are taken! I will be back!!

  • Danielle V.

I absolutely love this place. It's been here for years and has always and consistently had great Thai food. It may not have a glamorous location or roomy interior, but this small little restaurant is a huge hidden gem. I always feel comfortable and welcomed by the family that runs it. It's a hidden local favorite. Try the thai iced tea for a great refreshing summer treat!

  • Katherine S.

We called in an order of chicken pad thai and chicken pad see you about 20 minutes before closing. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant itself was small but very cute. Both dishes were delicious, but maybe a little dry for my personal taste. We were still very happy and would order again.

Delicious Pad Thai, Hot Basil and Thai Iced Tea! Only gripe is that the seating area is small and we felt a bit rushed out at the end.

  • Kate B.

Fabulous food. Worth a detour, though on the road to the Hyannis ferry to easy to stop by if you are passing through. Not a glam spot, really a hole in the wall, but who cares with food like this! Larb gai 5 stars. They will make you the food of Isaan (northeast Thailand) if you ask - som tam, etc.

  • Prasanna R.

Me and my wife visited this nice little place on a rainy evening. The place is really small, but they had like 8 tables in and about 25 people to sit. When we got in only couple of places were full. We started with hot and sour soup with some spring rolls. They were nice and crisp. My wife got the pineapple fried rice and I got the Pad Thai. The only issue we had was when the regular crowd started pouring in, we sorta felt left out and we had to ask couple of time for water. But otherwise the service was pretty good.

  • Lindsay V.

Amazing! I'm vegan and went with two non-vegans and we were all happy and satisfied to say the least! Tons to choose from, extremely reasonable prices, and the staff are such friendly, attentive, kind people. I could come here every week! The only downfall is that it is an extremely small restaurant and can't seat very many people, so sometimes takeout may be necessary but 100% worth it! Try to go in to sit down for the experience but if not, order to go and you'll still have an experience. Incredibly authentic Thai food that everyone should try!

We arrived late at 9pm after a long day. Chose this place based on reviews. The food was very good, but the service and accommodating attitude was great! It was a slow night and they were probably thinking of closing early. We were the only table. We ordered 2 kinds of curry, pad Thai, Tom yum and spring rolls. The entrees were wonderful, full of flavor and fresh. I asked them to make my seafood curry spicy and they didn't mess around. I broke into a sweat, but it's all good. Bill was around $55.

We love Bangkok Kitchen. We NEVER are in Hyannis and pass it by. The food is delicious and the owners are sweet and hard working. I almost always order the red curry, but also love the ginger mix. And the tom ka kai soup is terrific. Go there for excellent food at incredibly reasonable prices.

  • Michelle Y.

Positives: Super cheap Amazing thai iced coffee BYOB Negatives: Pad Thai smelled like feet My boyfriend and I shared an appetizer sampler which was okay but everything started to taste similar. The Pad Thai was obviously freshly made but just wasn't to my liking. Luckily we were able to wash down our meal with some high quality Milagro Tequila :)

The best Thai food with the best people working there ever!!!! The place is small in stature but big in atmosphere. I have tried Thai food everywhere but this one is the BEST.

  • Matt K.

This is the worst Asian food anywhere and an embarrassment to Thai cooking. We ordered 2 Thai noodle soups, papaya green salad. When we got the food home we found there were NO noodles in either soup and the papaya salad was too hot even to eat! Don't waste your money on this place.

  • Wes Y.

This place is definitely tiny and unexpected but the service was very good and the food was above average. It wasn't the best Thai food I've had, unlike what others posted, but it was very good. I would try other places in town before I would go back, however, I would go there again. I had the drunken noodles (pad kee mao) and my colleague ordered mango curry with scallops for lunch. Both very good. Soup starter was warm and tasted like vegetables broth.

My wife and I ate lunch here today & as usual it's fantastic. It's a very small cozy restaurant - but what it lacks in size it makes up in flavor and authentic delicious Thai food. This was probably my fifth time eating here and every time is superb. Started with a Thai iced tea- fresh spring rolls - cashew chicken with rice & it was all excellent!

Loyal Following. incredible thai food that we cannot find any better in Mass. Gracious and friendly owner who will create vegetarian for you. I am an addict for the shrimp pad thai. Awesome. The place one minute will be quiet then the crowd comes in with their beer and wine. byob allowed. The patrons stretch the economic ladder here, so you have old Toyotas next to the new BMW and Mercedes. in many years of eating here, we never left with a regret. Don't let the façade or size prevent you from eating here. Always fresh, great. great. great!!!!! (note, the "pad thai smelling like feet" comment below by someone has to do with the fish sauce, phuoc nam. Most restaurants won't use as much due to the American bland eating preference. it makes the dish)

  • Jin Y.

This is a small restaurant and gets full quickly. We had the Thai ice tea, tom yum soup, crispy whole fish, and pad thai. The Thai ice tea was strong and creamy. The soup taste like how it's supposed to be. We opted for the fish in curry sauce and it was flavorful. The pad thai only had 2 pieces of chicken but still tasty.

  • J F.

There is like 5 tables. Food was sublime. Best soup I have ever had in my life at Thai restaurant. Food was killer and best part it appears to be just one big family doing it up. Kids serving etc. so cute and they tried so hard. Awesome authentic restaurant that is also BYOB. I think that is a great idea. Next time I am bringing a bottle of Screaming Eagle to have with my curry. Parking in back. Small.

  • Danielle S.

Clean, friendly, delicious! We had the crispy duck in a red curry sauce, and the spicy eggplant dish (and added tofu). Both dishes were great! Though it was my first time there my friend has been a million times. She swears that pretty much everything is as good as what we had. Oh! Also had ginger tea. Very strong! I loved it, but I like a lot of ginger.

Good authentic thai food for the pork basil and red curry that we had. We were hungry for thai food after coming back from Nantucket. We use yelp to find the best thai food in the area.and this one turn out to good as 4.5 stars in yelp. The service was also excellent. Both waitress n owner were very helpful n friendly.

What an awesome little Thai place this is.. I got the pad kee Mao (w/chicken) and it was off the chain good. Nice and spicy, and very tasty. I also got a cup of their tom yum soup, and it was ok, but I've had better. Still awesome meal ! Highly recommend !!

We have nothing but wonderful memories of this place. I found them on Yelp after we learned that our first choice had a 45-min wait. I called them and they said that it will be another 20-mins before we can get seated. We got there within 15-mins and we got seated 5mins. after that - talk about accuracy! The place is really small - smaller than my living room but it was cozy. The service made up for the size. For appetizers, we got the chicken satay (which was deliciously tender and marinated in coconut juice), steamed mussels (the broth was fantastic) and crab rangoon (I must admit I wasn't crazy about this). For our main course, we had Pineapple Fried Rice (the best!), chicken basil (perfectly cooked), spicy crispy bean (fresh seafood with it), pork curry (sauce was so tasty) AND the highlight of the night was the Choo Chee Duck. I never had this before and it was just marvelous. Five stars for food and service. The place was packed but they never failed to check on us. Everything came at the right time and we did not need to follow up on anything. Considering that we ordered a lot and they got it all right was pretty amazing. No wonder everybody was happy. Because the place was so small, our table was positioned right beside another big group. We got to chit-chat and shared some laughs. They left before us and they gave us their leftover wine - really nice people. The place didn't charge for corkage. Aside from giving us their wine, they also paid for our bill - apparently. We only found this out from our waitress when we asked for our check. Apparently, they are regulars at Bangkok Kitchen. We were stunned when we found out that they paid for everything that we ate and we didn't even get a chance to thank them personally. Bangkok Kitchen is just oozing of good karma and apparently, it rubbed off on us. Thank you Paul for the wonderful dinner and thank you Bangkok Kitchen for the wonderful service and delicious food. The next time I'm in Cape Cod, I will definitely come back and have some more Choo Chee Duck!

Our favorite place to have a quick bite when shopping up cape. The restaurant is simple, small and authentic. Every dish is made to order and the service is immediate. If you enjoy Thai food, this is a great choice.

  • Tim N.

The place is small so plan accordingly... I'm not a fan of the crispy pad Thai but the regular pad Thai is good.

    (3)
  • Paul H.

Love it! Not an eat in place (tiny)... But every dish is made with fresh tasty ingredients. On the negative side they have a tendency to over cook the chicken in some dishes... But the Tofu and Veggie Pad Kee Mao requested to be made "Thai spicy" is the best I have ever had. Our go to Thai spot on the Cape!

  • Anne K.

I feel like it's very difficult to find good Asian food in Cape Cod. We were getting pretty tired of seafood (I know - blasphemy!) by the end of our trip and we decided to spice things up with some Thai for dinner. I'd say the food was pretty average, but it's probably the best option in the area if you're having a hankering for some pad thai. My pad kee mao (drunken noodles) wasn't bad - but the chicken was a bit dry. The food is definitely spicy though! It's very small inside and there's not much parking, but we just ended up parking in the lot across the street.

  • Jenn M.

This is such a cute place. We had a nice lunch here with the in-laws. The hostess/waitress was so accommodating to our wheelchair needs. - pad thai with chicken was light and flavorful - crispy duck was most excellent, and they added curry sauce on it with no problem - shrimp and broccoli was yum and they peeled the shrimp to pre-empt issues - parang curry was a little thin but I asked for hot and they hit that right on We had a nice time and will be back if we need to run by the mall in the future. Only about eight tables.

  • Ji Won K.

....it's a small restaurant that one would probably miss if you had not "yelped" it as it not in the main st area of Hyannis- however- I was so pleasantly surprised by the food- it was delicious!!!! The restaurant seems like a small family owned restaurant and the food tasted like your Thai grandmother cooked it in her kitchen. I definitely recommend their noodle soups and the eggplant seafood dish--was really good!!!!

  • Sara B.

This a a tiny little gem. Very limited seating and parking, but worth the wait. Food is always delicious! We have eaten there a dozen times, always had wonderful meals. Service was perfect!

  • DJ M.

Fast friendly service. We asked for our food to be medium spicy ... We like it spicy and it was spicy. We asked for 3 stars. All was terrific: tofu pad thai, hot basil chicken, tom yum soup, Bangkok fried rice, spicy eggplant, chicken panang curry. Very good food and service!! Glad we stopped in. Finished with fried coconut ice cream. Delish!

  • Samir S.

Wow the service was fast hear. I joked with the waiter that was faster then McDonalds. But the food was good it tasted fresh and had a good kick to it. It was nice to have a change of taste in the area as we were trying mostly food cape cod is known for. This was a pleasent surprise and great food.

no complaints...plain ole thai food...the way its done in thailand....no bells and whistles...u get what u ask for.... perfect lunch size portions

  • Brian K.

it was pretty good. i got the ginger stir fry with chicken. it was nice and lean, good quality chicken meat (i.e. sliced breast meat). it was a little bland, however, but that's usually the case when having thai w/o curry or noodles. the spring rolls were good, but the shrimp was a little fishy smelling. portions are pretty good size. overall happy.

  • R R.

Bangkok Kitchen was interesting... a very small restaurant.. I ordered the Pad Thai and the egg rolls. The egg rolls were freshly made and tasted good. the oil they used was clean and didn't have a lot of bad taste to it. I liked the dipping sauce that they came with. Pad Thai was dry and flavorless it was a real shame... I'm not certain if this is a constant problem here or not as it was my first time but I look forward to trying it a second time to give it another shot so look for an updated review once I've been able to do that!

  • Genevieve B.

My love and I just finished one of the most delicious dishes of Asian food I have ever had!! Not only was the dish amazing but the atmosphere is as if you're eating in your own living room with a bunch of strangers! There are only 5 tables. It's a very personal setting. That might sound strange but it was actually kind of charming. The staff are adorable and their deep fried coconut ice-cream is out of this world! I will be craving their food all week for sure! Can't wait to go back.

    (5)
  • Allie S.

Love this place! It is deceiving from the outside, as it looks like it is for takeout only, but they do offer nice tables and friendly service. The pineapple fried rice is really good here, as are the fresh rolls!

Great Thai spot in Hyannis BYOB. Small, but if you can get your foot in door, great food. Call ahead. Very little tables.

I had to write a review for this place. In this little beach town this Thai restaurant is a keepsake. The tom yung soup and pad Thai are delicious as are all the other dishes I've tried over the years. I love it.

  • Bakchun K.

My girlfriend picked this place despite my displeasure for Asian food on a trip because very few places have good Asian food in cities other than those in NY or Toronto, maybe because I'm spoiled. So on our Cape Cod trip, we came upon this place and the food was quite good, I had the crispy fish, Pad Thai and Thai Ice tea. The fish was not fishy at all and tasted fresh, ask the waiter for the price before you order because it is market price. Pad Thai in NY is way better. The prices are reasonable and this is a tiny place, so get there early or you will have to wait. The food is authentic which is rare in places outside my hometown. So for those Asians visiting Cape Cod, this is a must go place.

  • Julie F.

Thai is hit or miss with us, bc we have a place we adore back home. Bangkok kitchen left us pleasantly surprised. I ordered the drunken noodles (pad kee Mao, I believe it was called?) and loved the amount of veggies in it: bell peppers, green beans, onions....yum. Noodles were very wide and there was a ton of chicken. Hubby's pad see ew looked delicious and had mushrooms as well as broccoli. We aren't used to Thai having such a variety of veggies, so this was a nice change. Parking was a little scary. You have to drive in between the two buildings and park in back. (You don't think your car will fit but our ford fusion did.) Tiny TINY dining area. Be prepared to wait outside for a table to become available if you have a party of 4 or more (we watched this happen). Good food and friendly service.

  • Andrew T.

It was A-OK 3-stars but I wasn't wild about it. We shared an appetizer combo for 2 (about $16) that was quite good but not perfect-- I didn't like the spring rolls (odd mushy filling) or the chicken satay (dry)-- but the chicken wings, tofu, and fish cake were delicious, as were the shrimp in a blanket--- overall we were happy with it. A soup was OK, but not great, and seemed small for the price. Thai iced coffee and iced tea was ... OK ($2 each). We ended up paying $30 for the app combo, one soup, iced tea, and iced coffee, tax and tip. We looked at the rest of the menu... main course were $9, $10 and $11; house specials more like $16. Service was good, the place is clean enough, you walk past the kitchen to get to the bathroom, so you really get to see it all.... and it's .... OK.... but the decor is not attractive and the view out the front is worse... staring across the road to Staples plaza. Still, they had a steady stream of regulars so they obviously have their fans.... I would rather try someplace new than go back again though.

My boyfriend and I kept driving by this place, so one night we decided to give it a try. We walked in to only a few tables but there happened to be a table for two just for us. The place was very small, but it was set up nicely and had a great atmosphere. The server came right away and was very friendly. We started with the spring rolls which were delicious, especially when dipped in the sauce, which i think was sweet chilli!! I got the Mango paradise with chicken, which was amazing. It was the perfect portion and had such great flavor. It said it was spicy but i love spicy food and feel like it could have been spicier.. My preference tho. My boyfriend got the yellow curry which also had a coconut flavor and was spicy and yummy. The place seemed like it had a lot of regulars, which is a good sign. The place is family owned. I'm a big fan of supporting small local businesses. Overall, the service was very fast and we were in and out in about 35 minutes! Definitely will be going here again, I hear the desserts are amazing as well. Will be getting that next time for sure! :)

This is the perfect example of how not to judge a book by it's cover! Cute, family owned restaurant where the service is top notch, ingredients are as fresh as they come and the food is served hot! Literally the best meal I had all week during my vacation at the cape this past week. I wasn't a huge Thai food fan, but I am now and I'm afraid that I will never be able to get the same quality and service as my family and I received at this establishment last night. The dining room is SUPER small so if crowded spaces are not your thing, I strongly suggest take out. Oh and it's BYOB!

  • Chris C.

My favorite Asian fare on the Cape. It looks like nothing from the street and is tiny, but the food is outstanding. I generally get takeout but have dined in as well. The staff is always friendly and the fios is served fast. The Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice is the best I've ever had.

  • Andrea K.

This little place is not fancy. It's very small and the front door opens right on the few tables. Very chilly on a cold night. However, if you're doing take-out it would be OK. Or in the summer. I had the crispy duck and it was delicious. By the way, it's BYOB but there's a liquor store close by.

  • Sofia C.

When you're tired of traditional Cape food and get a urge to eat Thai, this is the place. The menu is the usual Thai selection, and everything that we ordered (four entrees, three appetizers, and soups) was done just right. I don't think we'd find better Thai food in Boston. Service is quick and attentive and the prices are reasonable. My only disappointment is that because they are so faithful to the original cuisine, they don't seem to incorporate many local fish into their menu. One thing to note: as other reviewers have mentioned, there aren't a lot of tables, so if you get here during peak hours, you might have to wait (or get your food to go).

    (4)
  • Livia M.

Always a stand out compared to other Thai restaurants! We have tried almost all dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. The Pad Kee Mao (chicken) is amazing!!! As is the Ginger Mixed! Well worth the trip!!!

I think I found my new favorite place in Hyannis. I got takeout with some friends recently and the food was excellent! Some of items we got included: crispy whole fish, mango sticky rice, Hot basil chicken, spring rolls, and dumplings. Everything was great, I LOVED the dumplings, and it's honey soy sauce, tasty! The seating was fairly limited there, maybe 6 tables or so, but takeout is quite easy. Definitely worth a visit if you like Thai or if it's your first try. Enjoy!

Excellent Thai spot on the cape! The place is very small and perhaps debatable from the outside, but the food is delicious. I had the fresh spring roll which were rather small but came with one of the best peanut sauces I've ever had. For an entree I recommend the yellow curry. The curry had more of a medium spice level rather than a light spice but it was tolerable. Make sure not to miss out on this spot!

  • L. M.

Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. Amazing thai food and quick service (seriously, lightning fast). Atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but it's mostly a take-out place! Tips: Show up early! There are only about 6 tables in the restaurants, and they fill up fast! Get take-out if you can't get a seat.

Thanks, Yelp, we never would have found this little gem without you. Yes, it is small, friendly, charming. A little loud! The food is fresh and very tasty . The china is gorgeous. Our crispy duck ($19) was enough for two generous servings. Friendly, hard-working staff. A lovely place!

I have tried several Thai places on the Cape (from Bourne to Eastham). This is by far the best one. I prefer to get take out only because the restaurant is small. The tables are close together so it feels like I am having dinner with strangers. Otherwise, this is a delightful place. The food is consistently superb and the family is very kind and sweet. Highly recommended!

Surprised to find such a highly rated Thai restaurant in the area, I was even more surprised when I saw it in person. It's incredibly small. I walked in and couldn't believe how cramped it was. With the line of people placing orders, picking up, waiters, and packed tables -- there was no personal space. I guess it must be good if it's so busy?? We decided not to eat in but take out bc it was too cramped for us. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. It took about 25 min for our 2 orders of pad Thai, curry fried rice, and chicken with cashews. Generous portions and quite yummy. I liked that my pad Thai was not drenched in greasy sauce but it could have used more sauce. My noodles looked nothing was on them. The curry fried rice and cashew dish were also great choices. Place is crowded and seating limited so keep that in mind - tons of people do takeout. Good food, friendly owners but do I think it's stellar, standout Thai food? Not really, but it's good.

I ate here with my girlfriend after a day at the mall and I can truly say that this is the best Thai that I've ever had. The service was fast & curteous, and the restaurant was clean. We got our entrée within 5 minutes of entering the door, and the food was cooked to order! Amazing little place!

Very intimate restaurant with some really interesting flavors. The thai spaghetti my wife had was outstanding, think pad thai with a hint of light tomato. My sister in law had the yum beef. that was so so, and I had the panang curry, which was really tasty. This is a BYOB joint, so plan accordingly (we didn't).

Love the Pad Ke Mau and Pineapple Fried Rice! The veggies are always fresh ~ Always personable and prompt service. Even though she laughs at me when I'm crying from 5 star. Love this tiny gem! Go to Luke's next door first for some wine or sake-It's BYOB

This food at this place is amazing! First of all, if you're looking for a fancy restaurant with lots of ambiance, you won't enjoy this place. It's a small restaurant where you can see the kitchen from your chair. I love that, so I was excited. This place is BYOB, which I wish I had known before visiting, as I would have brought wine as other customers did. Instead, we got Thai Iced Teas, which were delicious. We got some tofu triangle appetizers which were good. We then got the Cashew Nut entree with tofu and the Pad Kee Mao noodle dish again with tofu. We were blown away with how flavorful both were, especially considering we did tofu. The menu said these were spicy dishes, but we didn't feel so. The prices were fantastic. We will definitely return.

Good food, good service. Looks are deceiving, as we were a little hesitant at first. FYI its a BYOB place. Wish i had known before we sat down to eat. Pad Thai was well above average.

Solid Thai based on the Pad Thai (Chicken). The Pad Thai was everything I wanted it to be. Real noodles, fresh green onions, peanuts, eggs. assorted spices for flavor... The Crab Rangoon was good, but more 3 star than 4. The lady was friendly, quick and when I went in to pick it up, it was fairly busy for after 8pm on a Monday.

Absolutely amazing food. Authentic and well priced. Love this place! Try the green curry or the crispy pad Thai.

A perfect example why you shouldn't "judge a book by its cover". Yes its in an inconvenient location, it is an interesting shade of green, and it seems to be the size of an average backyard shed; however, inside the atmosphere is small and fun, the staff is quick to serve and friendly, and the food is fresh and tasty. Don't be put off by the appearance as I was for the longest time.

When you go to the cape there are some things you expect to find. A great Thai food resturaunt usually isn't one of them, but that's exactly what this place is. I usually just get take out, so I can't really speak the resturaunt service. But the food is great. Getting food from here has actually become one of the things I most look forward to on my yearly vacation in the cape. I usually order the drunken noodles, which are always incredible and they have no problem making the food as spicy as you'd like. Highly recommended.

  • Linda J.

The food was just OK. I got take out of crispy spring rolls and shrimp pad thai. It was very expensive ($21) and nothing special. The pad thai had very dense and dry noodles with very few vegetables; there were about 5 small shrimps. The crispy spring rolls were very dry with no identifiable vegetables in them. I won't go back again. Too many other places in Hyannis to choice from.

  • Austin T.

Pad Thai was delicious, some of the best we've had. Sampler Platter appetizer was cooked perfectly. Definitely agree with the other reviews, decor and size of the restaurant are negatives because it is small, but the quality of food make it more than worth it. Seems to have a lot of local following as we spoke to some other "regulars," who rave about it. A lot of people do take out. Will definitely revisit when we are back in the area.

Yes, this place gets 5 stars. Why? Because the atmosphere is charming the food suburb. A family run place, you are always welcomed graciously and prices are amazingly reasonable. The Red Curry is marvelous but nor overpowering. Eggplant in garlic is ambrosia. Seafood is usually fresh and any dish with shrimp is simply to die for. The Pad Thais are generous--some could be made with ducks' eggs (double check with the friendly owner.) Soups are tasty and light--very subtle good flavor. I recommend this adorable place. It is a culinary delight!

  • Richard K.

The restaurant is located in a small, standalone building on the outskirts of Hyannis. Not much ambiance, but we were pleasantly surprised by a good Thai cuisine that they offered in middle of Cape Cod. We had a sit down dinner there and a takeout on another evening, and were satisfied both times. We sampled their Pad Thai, Tom Yum Koon soup, and Panang Curry: all very good.

  • Lisa S.

We ate here last night. A tiny family-run place. The food was outstanding. We had House Special fried soft-shelled crabs and stir-fried shellfish. The seafood was very fresh, as it should be on the Cape. We've visited Thailand, and this food is one of the few authentic Thai restaurants we've found in Mass.

  • Jon S.

Small place, but excellent food. I had the pad see you, some tom yum koon soup and both were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in town and in the mood for good Thai food!

My husband & I eat here about once a month. The food is good and the portions are large. Parking can be a bit difficult, and during busy times you may not get a seat, so we usually get take out. The service is great and the staff is very friendly BUT I do find that as with most Thai places, they like for you to take your time, so its not an ideal spot for a quick in & out sit down lunch. However, the food is always ready when we order take out & they are very accommodating when you want to customize your order. I'd also like to point out that the town of Barnstable releases the health dept ratings yearly, and Bangkok is always one of the top rated for cleanliness, which is a big deal for me.

  • Amanda R.

It's been a while, but I'm happy to say Bangkok Kitchen is still quite good. All the veggies are fresh and crisp, and everything is flavorful and not greasy at all. The service is very friendly and attentive. The heat and spice were a little duller than I remember, but I don't know if it's my memory that's faulty or if they've toned things down. Super vegetarian friendly, and the tofu is always cooked (fried) perfectly.

I love this Thai restaurant! The food is incredible! Its tied for my favorite thai food ever!!! I've tried the Thai Spaghetti with tofu, Chicken Pad Thai, spring rolls, and Pad Woon Sen, all of which were excellent. I've only ever had take-out, but I believe it is BYOB if you eat in their restaurant. So why only 4 stars? Their restaurants only has like 5 tables. I dont even like going in there in the evening to get take-out because that place makes me feel a little claustrophobic. They would be so much better if they expanded! :)

I love the food, the location, the size and the owners and staff of this small six table Thai restaurant. For over ten years, whenever I make a trip down to Hyannis, I always make time for shopping at Trader Joe's, OSJL and Christmas Tree Shops and I ALWAYS stop in for Bangkok Kitchen's fresh rolls, veggie soup and #44 (the bean noodle dish). As far as I am concerned they are the BEST Thai restaurant on Cape Cod and the flavor and quality of their food is better than other Thai restaurants I have tried in Boston, California, and Texas. It's real comfort food in an unpretentious setting; nothing fancy or over-the-top. I recommend it 100%.

I have been eating here for years. I turned my little brothers onto it and my grandmother as well. They all love it and can't stay away. I always feel comfortable there and enjoy every meal I have had. I sometimes go in by myself for lunch to read a book and eat, and sometimes bring company, and always feel welcome. The family that runs it is very sweet and friendly.

My husband and I stumbled upon this gem while taking a vacation this past long weekend. We read the reviews from yelp and everybody said it was good. Over the past 4 days, we visited this place twice because it was just that amazing. The seating area is small, but we were able to find seating both times. The people are super friendly. The food was super fresh and off the charts. I especially enjoyed the tofu triangles, pad thai and tom yum soup. We will always stop here when we go to cape cod. I have not yet ate at a thai place this good in boston.

I can't say enough about this place. It's one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to, if not THE best. My friend and I went to this little hole-in-the-wall not expecting much. Both of us love spicy food but a lot of Thai is geared to Americans taste, which is to say, bland. We go in and my friend asks for her dish, which is a Basil veggie dish (she's vegan) and gives her standard, masochistic "Make it hot. I mean try to kill me, please." request. The lady gets very excited and takes the rest of our orders. I get tom yum and some tofu triangles. I ask also that to tom yum be hot, as I like my soup with a kick. She rushes off to the kitchen and returns with my piping hot soup. I take one taste, and my eyes water up, my nose starts running, and I'm in mouth-gasm heaven. My friend's order arrives and the lady cautions her, "This very spicy. I'm Thai and even I can't take this." My friend takes one bite and starts crying from the heat. The cook looks on in satisfaction (yes, the kitchen is right there next to the all of four tables in this establishment. It's a small place!). The tofu triangles were also delicious and crunchy, but what we were impressed with was the spice. Did I mention both my friend and I had bad colds at the time and were having trouble tasting anything? This place cleaned us out like nobody's business. All I can say is, if you are in Hyannis or live even an hour away, this place is completely worth the trip. I know I will be returning there this weekend. It's worth the gas.

Driving around looking for a place for dinner, and notice this little place that was pretty full. Turns out it had only 6 tables, and they were all occupied. We got the normal Shrimp Pad Thai, Green Curry Shrimp and a Chicken Fried Rice. They were all excellent, not too greasy like some other places, good size shrimp and very tasty. We also got the Tom Ka Kai soup that was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Too bad we were just traveling through, would really like to try out more of the menu, saw lots of interesting items. Again, this is another good one in a small package.

Amazing. So good! From the Crab Rangoon to Mango Sticky Rice, this place is the bomb. What a treat! And it's so tiny! You'd never guess what high quality food you'd get from this Restaurant, whose exterior does nothing to suggest how wonderful the food is. And the owners and staff (a family?) are really nice. This place is a hidden jewel.

First time at the Bangkok Kitchen. The only empty table, of 6, was next to the windows and door. Because I get cold so easily I was leery to sit there but I settled in and ordered. After a few minutes I realized staying would be a mistake so I converted my order to take-out and moved away from the table to wait. I started with the Bangkok Salad (5.95) which was a decent sized simple salad with hard boiled egg and fried tofu. The fried tofu was different from what I'd had before. It was fried hard, all the way through. Not bad, just different. I tried the spring rolls(4.95) but they were pretty bland. Crispy, even on take-out, but bland. For an entry I had Hot Basil with Tofu (7.95). It was supposed to be spicy but really had little spice taste to it. That might be my fault. My own cooking at home is getting spicier and I think my taste is changing. The flavor was ok but not special. Way too much sauce which really wasn't special in any way. The entree was served with jasmine rice. I have to say, I don't really like to judge a place by it's takeout. It's never the same as eating in situ. I would try again in the spring or summer.

I love this little family restaurant . Seems to me that it is a mom & pop run reastaurant . The food is always right on , always great service & fast . Just had the Red Curry , just enough spice & not over powering the other flavors. Pa Thai very fresh flavors . To be truthful we have never had a bad meal . The place is small , not alot of parking, but worth getting to this place.

The Tom Kha Kai was up to par with the best I've had. I really like that they cook it to order with the spiciness you desire. We had lunch here and I had the ginger mix lunch special with chicken and my girlfriend had the hot basil w/ tofu. We cleaned the plates! It was a great lunch that left us wanting more. Get some.

This is a cute little Thai place close to Cape Cod Mall. And when I say "little," I mean really little! It only has room for four or five tables. The decor is nothing special - Thai knick knacks here and there, and they have a cute little fish tank by the cash register. But the menu provides a nice alternative for people who are on the Cape, but don't want the usual chowder and crackers for dinner. I'm a vegetarian, so I was afraid that being in a place that specializes in seafood, it might be tricky to find a restaurant. But this place had a really, really extensive menuy, and offered veg versions of most of their dishes. My date and I got a couple of entrees. We asked for the Mango Curry "medium spicy," and it was almost too spicy to eat. Really good, though. The mango chunks in it provided a really nice burst of sweetness in the middle of the intolerable spiciness. We also got a clear noodle dish with tofu that was not spicy at all. The texture of the tofu was not that great (it didn't have a nice crispy layer surrounding it, but it did have a skin to indicate frying), but it was edible, and still fairly tasty. Our server was really nice. this wasn't the best Thai food I've ever had, but it was ok, and very cheap!

The size of the place is small but the great food and service makes it feel like you're enjoying a private dinner party. We were with Vegan friends on our way home from the cape and we were looking for a place that had a good selection for all of us. We were pleasantly surprised. We recommned making reservations especially on the weekends.

After quickly browsing through Yelp, I called Bangkok Kitchen and made a reservation for 10 people. Later on, after reading the individual reviews in more detail, I realized this is a tiny place. Close to giving up all together, we decided to see if they could honor on our reservation. True to their word, they had joined 3 tables and given us HALF of the restaurant. The other half was packed and people continued to stream in to get take out. The food was great and the staff very friendly. My daughter wanted Lo Mein and while I was explaining to her that they served Thai and not Chinese food here, the waiter (owner) said, "No problem; you want Lo Mein, I make Lo Mein" and so he did. The only thing that was not as great, was their sticky rice with mango, which appeared more like jasmine rice drenched in coconut milk rather than the real thing. Overall, I'd be happy to go back.

I am the um... masochist friend and yes it was freaking awesome. As much as it is an hour and a half-ish away, it's definitely going to be a day trip at some point. They were very friendly, despite the fact that they stared at me as I ate, presumably waiting for me to spontaneously combust. Seriously, if you find yourself on the cape and are looking for thai, this has to be the best place. It is small though, roughly 6 tables for 4 people each.

After 5 consecutive days (consisting lunch and dinner) of eating fried seafood, we craved for something less fatty and NOT fried. We decided to come here after reading good reviews on Yelp. Their parking lot was extremely hard to find. You have to go through an extremely narrow path on the left side of the restaurant to enter their garage in the back. My bf and I ate here 4 times during our 8 day trip to the cape. Every time, we ordered the fresh rolls (aka summer rolls in Vietnamese cuisine) and their Bangkok garlic with beef. Their menu consists of different types of sauces and styles and you pick the type of meat you want. My bf ordered their Panang curry with chicken. I'm use to thick curry, so I expected it to be thick and creamy. Instead, it was super watery. I thought it was okay, nothing special; the chicken was also very dry and lacked taste. We also tried their Sweet and Sour chicken, which was bleh... Stay away from it. Again, the chicken meat was overcooked and dry. A good dish to try is their Cashew Nut with chicken. The chicken was again dry, but the sauce was really good. I highly suggest their Bangkok Garlic with BEEF! It's AWESOME! If you have room for dessert, try their fried coconut ice-cream (aka tempura ice cream). It was delicious! Some highlights: - It's BYOB - extremely cheap! - there are about 6 tables (very small) - the servers are extremely friendly (run by a family)

Who would have guessed that the best Thai food outside of Thailand (where I have traveled many times) would be in this little hole in the wall restaurant on Cape Cod? Fabulous pad thai (tastes as if it just came from a street cart in Bangkok) and all the other dishes have tasted authentic and incredibly fresh. Service is very solicitous (very Thai!) . Go and enjoy.

  • Todd B.

Great food, but not many tables to sit. I ordered Basil Fried Rice with chicken and mango. I loved it, though it could be less salty. My husband ordered their Crispy Pad Thai. If i have to rate it will give it a 2 out of 5.

We called in an order of chicken pad thai and chicken pad see you about 20 minutes before closing. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant itself was small but very cute. Both dishes were delicious, but maybe a little dry for my personal taste. We were still very happy and would order again.

This is the worst Asian food anywhere and an embarrassment to Thai cooking. We ordered 2 Thai noodle soups, papaya green salad. When we got the food home we found there were NO noodles in either soup and the papaya salad was too hot even to eat! Don't waste your money on this place.

Small.

The place is small so plan accordingly... I'm not a fan of the crispy pad Thai but the regular pad Thai is good.

  • Paul H.

Only about eight tables.

....it's a small restaurant that one would probably miss if you had not "yelped" it as it not in the main st area of Hyannis- however- I was so pleasantly surprised by the food- it was delicious!!!! The restaurant seems like a small family owned restaurant and the food tasted like your Thai grandmother cooked it in her kitchen. I definitely recommend their noodle soups and the eggplant seafood dish--was really good!!!!

This a a tiny little gem. Very limited seating and parking, but worth the wait. Food is always delicious! We have eaten there a dozen times, always had wonderful meals. Service was perfect!

Delish!

Wow the service was fast hear. I joked with the waiter that was faster then McDonalds. But the food was good it tasted fresh and had a good kick to it. It was nice to have a change of taste in the area as we were trying mostly food cape cod is known for. This was a pleasent surprise and great food.

  • Brian K.

it was pretty good. i got the ginger stir fry with chicken. it was nice and lean, good quality chicken meat (i.e. sliced breast meat). it was a little bland, however, but that's usually the case when having thai w/o curry or noodles. the spring rolls were good, but the shrimp was a little fishy smelling. portions are pretty good size. overall happy.

no complaints...plain ole thai food...the way its done in thailand....no bells and whistles...u get what u ask for.... perfect lunch size portions

  • Allie S.

Love this place! It is deceiving from the outside, as it looks like it is for takeout only, but they do offer nice tables and friendly service. The pineapple fried rice is really good here, as are the fresh rolls!

I had to write a review for this place. In this little beach town this Thai restaurant is a keepsake. The tom yung soup and pad Thai are delicious as are all the other dishes I've tried over the years. I love it.

Always a stand out compared to other Thai restaurants! We have tried almost all dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. The Pad Kee Mao (chicken) is amazing!!! As is the Ginger Mixed! Well worth the trip!!!

    (5)
  • Andrea K.

This little place is not fancy. It's very small and the front door opens right on the few tables. Very chilly on a cold night. However, if you're doing take-out it would be OK. Or in the summer. I had the crispy duck and it was delicious. By the way, it's BYOB but there's a liquor store close by.

  • Jenny H.

Food was good and fast service. Small place so if busy time it could fill up quickly.

  • Nancy C.

  • Cindy L.

  • André P.

I ate here with my girlfriend after a day at the mall and I can truly say that this is the best Thai that I've ever had. The service was fast & curteous, and the restaurant was clean. We got our entrée within 5 minutes of entering the door, and the food was cooked to order! Amazing little place!

  • Mike V.

  • Neil K.

  • Jason P.

  • James R.

Don't be put off by the exterior or the size and atmosphere of the restaurant. The food is fantastic and very inexpensive. Will definitely visit again. Hidden jewel.

    (4)

    (5)
  • Jon S.

Small place, but excellent food. I had the pad see you, some tom yum koon soup and both were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in town and in the mood for good Thai food!

  • A A.

    (4)

  • Melissa C.

  • William C.

  • Elliott R.

Cute, small family restaurant, freshly prepared food, fast service and personal attention to each customer. Chicken curry is what I suggest you to try.

My favorite restaurant on the Cape. Love the food, which is always quick and delicious and the family who owns it are always kind and thoughtful.

My partner and I eat here 2-3 times a week. The food is awesome & consistant and the service is excellent. If you are in the mood for Thai, this is IT! Check it out, you'll not be disappointed.
