I was surprised so much for the first time with the varieties of cusine, for their inovative menu I'll give ten stars here, their presentation is the highlight among all. They are very friendly to all guests, everyone must try atleast once. Congrats and my best wishes to the restaurant...:)

took my vegan daughter here today, as a non-vegetarian or vegan, I must say the food not only served fresh, it taste really distinct and very flavorful . now I know where to take my vegetarian friends and family. the service was fast and friendly and ambiance is relaxing and family friendly. it also has a big parking lot so plenty of space. I also like the open kitchen watching the chef in action, very clean and you can smell the various spice and burning oil.

I had high hopes for this place! The service was atrocious. Curt, impolite wait staff with an inability to gauge what will fit on a 2 seater table and what will not. The food itself was adequate. What was inadequate was that it was over 80 degrees inside the restaurant. When your patrons are visibly sweating, perhaps something can be done. Second, the floor was very dirty... to the point that I was uncomfortable putting my bag on it. Our waitress spilled a large amount of water on the floor and on my foot. She never mentioned it, nor did she clean up the puddle on the floor.

I love love love this place. It's been a comfort food stop many times for me. The staff is friendly, and awesome. The food is spot on. I've tried so many things here. I always always always have to have the gohbi manchurian, tho. It's a simple place, but clean and reasonable. Open kitchen, so you can see the chefs as they cook. The staff has been a little erratic at times (one server admitted that it was her first time ever waiting tables.) Prices are decent. A little high,. but you do get a lot for your $. I routinely have leftovers.

I'm so glad Yelp led me to Green Leaf! My co-worker and I decided we needed a healthier dinner after a few meals consisting of burgers, bread and junk food. Green Leaf tasted better than all the other restaurants we visited this week, by far. The food is fresh, cooked properly and presented nicely. There are options for vegetarians, vegans and the gluten free. Check out my photos - each thing we ate was delicious! And for the price you get a ton of food. Bonus: the staff is excellent, friendly and attentive. Go here! Now!

First time here, tried the Gobi Manchurian, delicious! Tasted like boneless chicken wings but it was deep fried califlower. For entrées my wife got granola crusted french toast with banannas and strawberries, very good.I got the beet burger not good not bad indifferent, but the sweet potato fries were delicious.

Don't let the fact that it's a vegetarian restaurant scare you off, this place is the real deal. Really great service - this time Patrick was our server = great job. Smokey pea dip, Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower fried), stuffed mushrooms, sweet potato enchiladas are ALL MUST HAVES!!! The desserts are all vegan and you would never know the difference = excellent!!! Vanilla strawberry pistachio cake is highly recommended.

Was passing through Framingham and this place popped up on the yelp radar, lots of pics of great looking food and good reviews made us want to stop in and check it out. basic business looking building, interesting set up inside with an open kitchen visible from the dining room. clean, modern space. took a few minutes before we were seated (the door buzzer didnt go off or something?) and then it took a while before we could order. apps were all top notch, mains were less exciting. beet burger sounded good but ended up tasting like dried herbs. bbq sandwich was good as well but didnt really wow me. sweet potato fries were sort of on the undercooked sad limp end of fries. i would definitely check it out if you are near by and looking for a veg fix and i will be back for more apps next time we are passing through!

I had a high expectation for this place and I really really want this place to be great since it's hard to find a good vegetarian restaurants. Food came out fast enough. I think the appetizers were okay, but it was something I'd give rave review about. Salad was standard too. Service could use some help. Sweeping the floor right next to the diners are never acceptable. We will give this place one more try. It's possible we went there late and everyone was just tired and waiting to go home.

This is just the coolest place all vegan and vegetarian. All fresh and organic. The staff and chef are just to much fun. They're informative and love to share their passion for all things healthy. This knock your socks off the beaten path will be my dinner spot for the next several nights Who knew I ended up with this in walking distance to my bed and pillow. Now I'm not in North Carolina or, well I could not walk this far at least not on a day. But to eat here is probably walk that far. Yummy.

I've tried food here on three different occasions and I'm always underwhelmed. Tried the Cesar salad that was $9 and it was served with iceburg lettuce & no croutons. How are you going serve a Cesar salad with no croutons? Its some sort of cruel joke. Butter lettuce & buttery cruttons is where it's at. The other things I tried were from brunch while back. I wasn't thrilled by it. Meh.

I'm one of those eaters who is difficult to pigeon hole. I'm not a vegetarian, but I won't eat anything that's as smart as my doggie, or that still has an articulated body structure. I won't touch an onion or a bell pepper, but I'll recklessly devour a Thai curry. I've never met a squash I didn't want to roast and eat. Or a mushroom. If it doesn't come dehydrated in a box, or ground up and mashed back together, I'll probably eat it, and I'll probably like it! In a way, I'm and adventurous eater with a diverse palate... as long as you don't take me to a traditional American joint. So when my work buddy suggested we try Green Leaf, I was all in. We probably ordered seven menu items between the two of us, and we loved everything we tried! She's gluten- and lactose-intolerant for real, and I'm just a bit of a nut job, but we didn't find fault in a single thing we tried. Highlights included tempura battered cauliflower with spicy nacho cheese, and a green sauce I can't seem to forget no matter what I eat. This spot is solid.

I've been here a handful of times in the past few months (mostly takeout) and really love the food. I am not a vegan at ALL, so this tells you how good the food is. I've gotten the tex mex pizza which is DELICIOUS, the gobi manchurian appetizer (highly recommend, it reminds me of general gau chicken, only healthier) eggplant parmesan sandwich, the veggie burrito, sweet potato and kale quesadilla & grilled yucca quesadilla. I like mexican, can you tell? The portions are huge and everything is very fresh. The only weird thing is that they have slightly different menus for lunch/dinner, so I called an order in at 4:30pm and could only order off the lunch menu when one of the items I wanted was on the dinner menu. Not sure why they would only serve specific things for lunch and then not for dinner..maybe I'm just being greedy because options off both menus are delicious. The only negative is that when I ate there once, the water they served was room temperature and they didn't give ice....strange..

We went here for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed! The food was very fresh and amazingly delicious. It's so nice to have a vegetarian restaurant. Just about everything on the menu could be adapted to be vegan or gluten free. The tempeh scramble was so yummy - just spicy enough and very substantial. The huevos rancheros were different but delicious. There is even a kids menu that would satisfy even non-vegetarian kids. They also have a nice compliment of natural sodas and fresh juices. I'm not sure if we were there on an unexpectedly busy morning but the food was really slow to come out. Service was generally slow but okay. Neither of these criticisms are enough to keep us away - we'll definitely be back!!

Excellent food. Had the Veggie Burrito and it was massive amd filling. Could only get through half of it. The hummus is really tasty as well. Just a really great vegan option. Cannot wait to go back.

I really like this place. I like the portobello sandwich but they only have it for lunch. I have also been here for brunch, dinner and gotten take out. Great service, very friendly. All dishes I tried were delicious. Highly recommended.

Great place to eat healthy! I would highly recommend to eat less read meat (animal cruelty is really bad) and more vegetables. It is nice to have a good restaurant where vegan food is delicious as well as professionally well presented. Open kitchen, nice staff, good environment and great food.

Really Really good veggie food. The presentation is not quite there, and the items don't hold up as well as I would like them to, but you have to try this place if you don't eat meat.

If you are looking for great vegan cuisine in a nice atmosphere with terrific service, this is the place. We got a lot of food, so I won't get into each dish. The highlights: The Nachos were piled high and devoured quickly. Great guacamole and a solid vegan sour cream. Porcini Tofu looked as good as it tasted. A bunch of flavors going on here, but everything worked well together. We also got a Macro Plate. Everything was simple and fresh, just like a Macro plate should be. The most important thing I can say is to save room for dessert. We got Banana Creme Pie with Caramel Sauce and for someone who really doesn't like banana desserts, this was awesome! Also got Raw Blueberry Pie and Chocolate Mousse Pie. The kids loved it. I'm terrible with names, but the two servers we had were both very pleasant. What I liked is that they truly seemed to enjoy their work. The Chef is truly a likeable guy, who obviously takes a lot of pride in his business. We will be back for brunch and many more times in the future. This place puts the Boston vegan/veg places to shame.

Food has been tasty - we liked the tex-mex pizza and the fig/banana smoothie. We hadn't been back in a while bc we had a horrid experience with a rude host on phone while trying to place takeout order. We decided to go again- took a half hour for order to be ready but at least we were told that on phone. I paid for the takeout and then the server/host left with the takeout bag, and left inexplicably for ten minutes without a word. Finally, she returned, I took the bag and went home... The entrée for one of my family members wasn't in there. He had to go back and pick it up, because they just left it there on the counter and didn't give it to us. I have never been impressed with the service there, only the food. I noticed today that there's a bunch of kitchen equipment and storage containers just sort of sitting on the floor right near where people are eating. That seems odd.

We have tried 2 times in hopes of a good experience. The waitstaff is very miserable and unwelcoming except for one cheery girl. We ordered a gf vegan pizza and it was served without any cheese. Our waitress neglected us but the cheery one was happy to help by ordering us what we asked for. We were happy with the sweet potato fries and she made sure to offer her recommendation of onion dip in addition to the barbecue sauce dip. Very nice :) The second trip we ordered a beet burger and it was gross! It was chemical tasting and fell apart! I have eaten many vegan burgers but this was disgusting. We told the waitress that we could not even attempt to eat it as it was that bad. She sarcastically told us"that is what you ordered!" Instead of being angry back, I calmly told her that we would just substitute with an order of sweet potato fries which she did provide without a fuss. We did leave a 20% tip since we felt she was young and inexperienced in customer service. Hopefully she will be more concerned about her customers satisfaction as that is where she will make some money on tips :) Don't think we will be back again though. I would rather drive to Cambridge to go to Life Alive!

A vegetarian's treat! Been here several times for dinner and brunch. Food is always savory. I recommend everything! Organic tea and desserts not to be missed. Service can be slow at times. Atmosphere is nothing special.

I've now been to Green Leaf about 7 times. Never had a bad meal, or bad service. Always was WOWED by the food, and took pictures of it and savored every bite. This does not happen at most restaurants. My favorites? Everything on the menu, but especially the millet crumble wrap, lentil soup, macro plate and I will add my wife's favorite, the Protein salad. If you've not eaten here, why not? If you think you cannot live without meat in your food, you can. And your body will feel great afterwards. Enjoy!

Took a chance heading out of Boston for something fresh and healthy for lunch. Terrific selection. Waitress competent and understanding with questions and requests. We were surprised with the portions, the double decker nachos were very generous and delicious. My husband had a portobello panini and he raved about it. The Protein Power smoothy had a nice flavor but I prefer my smoothies ice cold and this was room temperature which some people prefer. We ordered way too much food but now we have lunch tomorrow and it's not like we'll be able to get back any time soon as we live on the opposite side of the state but if we did I would stop cooking multiple times a week!

I have been to Green Leaf 4 times since I've moved here in the past month. As a relocated vegan, it's always important to find healthy AND tasty food. The food here is nothing short of spectacular. I've ordered the cinnamon-walnut- fig waffles, potato leek hash, carrot and ginger juice, and my boyfriend has ordered French toast, a fruit bowl, English muffin, potatoes and juices...everything was amazing. The food wasn't too salty or too oily (always a concern when eating out). It was seasoned and sautéed to perfection. The vegan waffles were perfectly crispy and the mammoth serving of walnuts and figs along with the perfect amount of drizzled syrup was just what my body needed after a nice morning run. It's addictive and absolutely the best restaurant find so far in Framingham! (Even my highly carnivorous boyfriend suggests we continue to come here regularly!)

Not going there again. Gobi manchurian is good. However I ordered a watermelon juice and who can spoil a simple watermelon juice? Then came the chickpea patty wrap, utterly tasteless. It was almost like eating tortilla with lettuce and sauce (that I added for flavor). Nothing great about this place unless you're strictly vegan and have to go cuz you ran out of options. If I were you I'd just take the Gobi manchurian and go home cuz the service is also slow.

I'm being generous with two stars. Greeted by the sullen host and told to take any seat for two. Waited 15 minutes for the spacey waitress to make an appearance. The food was plentiful and full of good ingredients. But utterly devoid of seasoning, spice, sauce, or taste. Very bland. Very weird. All in all, a disappointing meal in pretty much every respect. Promised so much and fell so flat.

My company's corporate office is a hop skip and a jump from here, and when we had a group meeting with folks from all over, I went out on a limb and suggested that we get takeout from here (based on yelp reviews) even though I had never been. We had 6 people with diverse needs/wants... including vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and some lucky folks without any dietary restrictions. Green Leaf did not disappoint. I was going to say that the soups were THE highlight, but then remembered that my boss's GF veggie pizza looked really, really good. I'll have to try that next time. The salads all looked great (I had the beet) and the juices were all delicious and fresh. I had a green lemonade. That in and of itself could have been lunch for me. I an area where there are lots of food options but very few things that I would like to actually eat, this place is a gem. I only wish that this part of Framingham were a little more conducive to walking so that I could combine a lunch run with a brisk walk without worrying about being run down on a two-lane highway.

A friend and I had dinner at Green Leaf this past Tuesday night. We were seated right away. We each ordered a cup of the soup of the day which was acorn squash and carrot and we shared a gluten free potato leek pizza. When the soup was delivered, the amount of soup in one of the cups was noticeably less. I didn't say anything to the waiter, but both cups should have had an equivalent amount of soup in them. The soup was okay but I didn't detect any nutmeg or ginger or any spice that would have given it more flavor. It was too bland for my taste buds. My friend had not yet finished her soup when the pizza was delivered to our table. The waiter had asked the chef to divide the pizza in half so that we each had a half pizza on a individual plate. It's difficult to find a decent gluten free pizza crust but this one was acceptable and was cooked perfectly. I would have liked less leeks and more of the other toppings on the pizza, but that's a personal preference. There was only one waiter working that night. He was extremely personable but he seemed to be a bit overwhelmed even though he only had to wait on four tables while we were there. He never picked up my friend's empty soup cup so I placed it on an vacant table next to us where it sat for awhile until he noticed it and took it away. I don't believe that the menu at Green Leaf has changed since they opened and there were no dinner specials that night. I'd like to see an expanded menu with items like baked eggplant parmesan with GF pasta, a vegetable lasagna made with wide rice noodles or a toasted veggie burger on a GF roll with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. A vegetarian pizza would also be a great menu item. I would love to be able to order a GF pizza with mushrooms, baby spinach and onions. These are all meals that I make at home and it would be nice to be able to find all or some of them on Green Leaf's menu in addition to other new offerings. I will return to Green Leaf because I'd like to try their beet and asparagus salad and I would order the potato leek pizza again, but with fewer leeks. I appreciate the variety of vegetarian, vegan and GF items that they have, but they definitely need to expand their menu.

posted this to my FB page the other day, but thought I'd share here too. . . Silver lining around the dark cloud of Mass Pike last night. . . thanks to holiday traffic, impending snowstorm and an overturned semi, the 3 hour trip home from Boston was looking like 6. So we bailed off the highway to look for food, and sheer luck put us in front of the Green Leaf Vegetarian/Vegan Restaurant in Framingham, MA. I'm no vegan or even vegetarian, but the food was so delicious and well-made that I'm going back again next chance I get. Just had to put that out there for anyone who ends up in the neighborhood. Tex-Mex Pizza. Damn.

Been there twice now and loved the food (so did everyone else in the party). The dishes on the menu are creative, and I always find it difficult to decide on what to order. They use ingredients like seitan and tempeh, which are nutritious and yummy. Service is on the slower side, and the interior decor is more casual than fancy. Still, I highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed lunch. Neither of us are vegetarians and really consider ourselves meat and potato people. Our decision to have lunch here was based on a desire to try something different but affordable and convenient. We tried the grilled yucca quesadilla and the portabello panini wirh sweet potato fries and finished our meal sharing a slice of banana cream pie. Our favorite thing was the panini. We enjoyed everything. The vitality of the use of color and wall art was appreciated. Yes, we'll be going back. The waffles described on a Boston Globe article made a date with us on the way out the door.

Love this place, many different options for both vegetarians and vegans.. Haven't tried everything on the menu yet but eventually I will because everything is so good! Need more waiters to keep the pace going but other than that, everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is great!

The food is fresh, delicious and all of it is made on premises. The chef's specialty is dessert and they are FABULOUS! Our waiter gave us great suggestions and was attentive; his help added to our enjoyment. I am very picky and I cook a lot at home. I love this place and would return with or without vegetarian friends.

  • Paul D G.

I've been here several times and I will return again. I am not vegan but I do try to eat healthy and clean (sometimes). The Gobi Manchurian is amazing as an app or a meal. The juices are all fresh. I got some carrot/ginger juice drink that was a little disturbing (the ginger was very strong), but I knew it was clean and healthy so I gulped it down. ;-) I've had many entrees but I usually default to the Macro Meal for dinner as it is tasty and covers a lot of good foods and nutrients for one sitting. The service is not great. They are nice, lovely people, but it has the feel of a small local restaurant where sometimes you feel like you are interrupting their day when you show up or need something. I admit that I can be overly sensitive to that dynamic when it comes to service in local restaurants. Having said that, I have never felt any ill intent from the staff or servers. I think it is just a business vision/training issue and can be easily rectified with time. I have never been there when it has been busy, but I have had to wait for drinks to come, additional requests to be fulfilled or just to get the attention of the wait staff in general. I've also seen orders come out one at a time with a substantial time difference between meals hitting the table which can make my guests feel uncomfortable. All in all we are a fan of this place. My wife and I will return and my work staff will return. I will bring other work-related associates here. It is really good food and a really good find for Framingham. With a few tweaks here and there this will easily be a 4 or 5 star place.

I came for lunch and ordered the chips and guacamole appetizer and the protein packed salad. My friend ordered the beet burger. The guacamole was pretty tasty, albeit a pretty tiny portion, but the corn chips (not homemade) were kind of stale. The salad was okay as well, but nothing special. There was barely any avocado and the dressing I ordered, the basil vinaigrette, was pretty unexciting. Large portion, but lacking in taste. My friend's beet burger was quite literally swimming in thousand island dressing, which detracted from the overall taste. While not a remarkably delicious meal, it was certainly healthy. Probably won't be back.

So far so good! Had my first experience here yesterday. Co-worker heard about this place and wanted to try it. I placed the phone order and she went to pick up. She said the interior was cute and inviting. She had the Beet Burger and I had the Millet Patty Wrap, we both had the side salad. Yum! Seriously good wrap. I could only eat half because it was way too big for me but everything was fresh, the millet patty was great, I couldn't ask for more. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Finally got a chance to try this place. Started off with the Gobi Manchurian as a appetizer and it was great. It reminded me of chicken wings but it was cauliflower. Then we ordered seitan picatta and creamy cashew polenta. Both were really good but the star main meal was the seitan picatta. The presentation of all the food was beautiful. We will definitely be going back. Here's the not so good part. We got a bad waiter (named Adam). He sat us at a table for two and I asked for a table of 4 and he said he couldn't because it gets really busy. There were several others that were duces at tables of four but whatever, I moved on. Then other duces came in and got sat at tables of 4 by a waitress. Adam gave us NO direction, NO helpful hints, even though he knew this was our first time there. We saw this waitress talking to her tables, giving them advice, filling their water glasses and so on and so fourth. As she walked by our table and filled our water glasses I started asking her questions and recommendations for our dinner order. Our waitrer Adam I had asked for a recommendation for dinner and after about 30 seconds he said (the veggie burrito is really good). It wasn't like I was asking you for your kidney Adam, just a freaking recommendation! It's not rocket science. Anyways, Meg saved the night by her kindness, her attentiveness and we will definitely be back, now maybe for brunch since Meg told us all about that. Green Leaf - great job on your successful restaurant your waitress Meg. Having Adam, you might lose business.

I am not strictly vegetarian or vegan, but I LOVE Green Leaf! The food is wonderful and the small space makes for a cozy atmosphere. You get to watch your food be made and catch every smell wafting from the kitchen. My favorite item is the potato & leak pizza, which is on the dinner menu.

The food and smoothies here are awesome. Huge potions and really great flavors (the vegan chocolate mouse pie is amazing). The service can be a little bit spotty but in the past few months it's gotten better. Definitely a great vegetarian and vegan restaurant!

It's easy to miss this place, on Route 30 just west of where it crosses Speen Street. The flavors are inventive and the food is fresh and delicious. So happy to have healthier options in the Metrowest area than fast food or anonymous chain restaurants. We shared the beet and asparagus salad as an appetizer (it would have easily been a filling entree). It was unusual, because most beet salads tilt toward the sweet side (with goat cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette) but this one has blue cheese and the dressing has a spicy kick to it, which was interesting. We also shared the Cashew Polenta, which was amazing. It had this gorgeous curried gravy on it, with sautéed spinach and arugula pesto. Finally, we shared the black bean and sweet potato enchiladas, which were not served in corn tortillas but wrapped up in zucchini ribbons. It was a really interesting presentation, and they were delicious. We will definitely return to explore more options.

I would recommend this restaurant to all vegans, vegetarians, and those who want to try something different. Seriously though, why is it so hard to find any good vegetarian/vegan places around here? I'm just glad I finally found one that I could come back for more. First of all, their portions are most generous. Out of a lot of vegetarian and vegan restaurants I've been to, their portions are massive and delicious. Oh, and their presentation is lovely. I love it. The Tempeh Chimichurri was great. The Tempeh was very filling and ...meaty? I would order this meal even if I started eating meat again. The only problem I had with this dish was the odd combination of hot food on top of cold couscous. I took the rest back home and heated it up (much better, imo). The (Vegan + $2.00) Vegetarian Burrito is my favorite out of them all. It comes with my favorite sweet potato fries. This burrito is huge! Vegan cheese combo wasn't bad at all. The Beet Burger sounded interesting but I didn't like it since it had a funny aftertaste. I had to drench the burger with their BBQ sauce to mask the taste. That helped a lot. The Mezze platter was alright. I don't recall it being very interesting. I did enjoy the grape seed leaf rolls and I'll probably order those again. The squash soup appetizer was just OK. I would just be careful when you order takeout. Always check your meals to see if you got your orders right. I had a few incidents where they forgot to make my dish vegan and my order of grape seed rolls. It happens I guess. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful... but a little bit unorganized.

First time at the Green Leaf. The Gobi Manchurian app was excellent and big enough for my entrée, especially when coupled with the sweet potato fries. Started the dinner with the green pea dip, also sooooo good. My wife had the cashew polenta and absolutely loved her dish. We were so full, we ordered dessert to go, which was a vegan chocolate, coconut banana cake. Not only did it look like it was from a 5 star restaurant, it was amazingly good. Would have given this review 5 stars, but for a light crowd on a Monday night, service was just a little slow with only one person for the dining room and the sweet potato fries could have been crispier. I'm hoping that as the owners get more time in business and as word spreads about how good the food really is, that this will allow the Green Leaf to take it to the next level of table service with experienced employees and maybe kick up the atmosphere from meh to nice. To the owners I would say, you have a real gem of menu and can't wait to see how far you can take this place. In the interim, will definitely be back when I'm in the neighborhood as I need to try a whole lot more on the menu.

The best Vegan restaurant meal I ever had! We drove out to check this place out and I can't wait to go back. Everything we had was amazing, and I'm looking forward to eat there again soon!!

Have heard good things, decided to finally give it a try and wasn't disappointed. We liked everything we tried, but the Gobi Manchurian was excellent. Will definitely go back, though I think I prefer it as a take out or lunch spot.

On the one hand, the food was (mostly) good. On the other, it took over an hour to get our appetizer... It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was about 60% full. There were two servers, though only one seemed to be making the rounds. We were seated right away, but it took about 30 minutes before our order was taken. Another 20 minutes before our sodas arrived. (We never received the waters we requested.) A woman starts complaining that she's been waiting over an hour (she was there when we arrived) for her take-out order: soup. Around the hour mark, we heard the server shouting to the cooks that it's been a "long time" and asking where our order was. They said it was up and had been sitting there for a while. Oops. (We were seated next to the kitchen, so could see/hear it all.) Our tasty (but a bit cold) gobi Manchurian arrived. Highly recommend (and I bet it's even better hot). We finish the appetizer and notice that others are flagging down the servers, trying to place orders, trying to get seated, trying to get bills... This doesn't bode well. We start wondering if we'll get the rest of our dinner in time to make it to the movie later. Our main course arrives. Mine's good (porcini crusted tofu), my partner's isn't (Mediterranean millet risotto - which isn't a risotto, and is enough millet to feed a starving family of 20). Tables around us haven't been cleared. Folks waiting to get seated are now crowding in, standing around our table (we're near the kitchen, which is also by the entrance). Two hours later, we leave, wishing there was a third server (or, that the second server actually did their job), wishing the busboy actually bussed (we heard too many pleas from the server for specific types of plates, cutlery, etc), and wishing there was another cook in the kitchen.

We stopped by green leaf by accident. I went to have dinner at margaritas with some friends on Tuesday night but of course it was cinco de mayo and everything was crazy there so we decided to go vegetarian for a night. We were seated immediately by our server,a girl called Winny and asked if we had been there before or needed recommendations. We hadn't so she recommended the enchiladas and butternut kale lasagna, and a fried cauliflower for our appetizer. Everything was AMAZING. We didn't have any problems, but our main entree took some time to come out, which was understandable considering the restaurant was almost completely full. We were told their specialty was vegan desserts but were too full for them so we'll definitely be back to try them. Great service and even better food!

Great little veggie/vegan joint. The smoothies are delicious and I cant say I've ever had a meal here I didn't like. Every experience has always been excellent. Nice and laid back, which is a welcome change of pace from the Route 9 chains (that, and no meat in sight!).

The vegan's dilemma. We're used to having few choices at a restaurant. Faced with a menu full of choices, it can be hard to decide what to try first. The waiter and chef were both helpful in selecting a dish that was both vegan and worked around an allergy issue. The result was a slightly-modified version of the portabello mushroom panini, which was fantastic (and so much food I brought half home). The sweet potato fries were tasty, and more baked slices. Perfect. The dessert menu is substantial. The chocolate mousse pie was excellent. We'll be back to try more menu items and sample additional desserts. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the service. The waiter was attentive despite a good number of folks in the restaurant. When I was thinking I'd like more water in my tea mug, he appeared and took care of it without my asking. As noted earlier, both he and the chef were attentive to dietary needs. The chef also stopped by to make sure I was happy with the panini. Green Leaf did an excellent job, start to finish. Highly recommended.

While it was great to find a vegan friendly restaurant right off the the I-90 on a recent trip through Massachusetts, the food itself was for the most part nothing to write home about. Admittedly, I'm spoiled where veg restaurants are concerned, living in Los Angeles. Still, Green Leaf wasn't on par with the food at some of the Indian and Thai restaurants I've frequented in New England in the attempt to find a vegan meal. My husband and I shared the following items: Vegan Caesar Salad with Tempeh -- completely underwhelming and bland. We didn't bother to finish it. Gobi Manchurian -- an appetizer of fried, battered cauliflower in a spicy-sweet tomato sauce. My husband liked this but I wasn't so keen. I kept comparing it to the Buffalo cauliflower I've had at one of my favorite restaurants in LA and well, it wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special either. Black Bean and Sweet Potato Enchiladas -- These were rolled up in zucchini slices instead of tortillas which was innovative, but the enchilada sauce was strongly tomato-flavored. My husband commented that the flavor was somewhere between Mexican food and Italian food. Macro Meal -- Finally a dish I enjoyed. I'm not a fan of sauerkraut but everything else on the plate-- tempeh, kale, broccoli and oyster mushrooms, as well as rice and beans was pretty good. The accompanying tahini maple dressing drowned out the subtle flavors of these foods, however, so I opted not to pour it on. Dessert was the best part of the meal. I think we had the coconut banana cake but I could be misremembering. It was good.

Well I tried this place with a couple friends from work, I got the Yucca Quesadillas as did my friend and our other friends got a smoothie. They were very flavorful but I was put off by the price, for the type of food it is and seeing its not gourmet or anything it was quite expensive I ended up paying 12 or 13 dollars for this thing. (Yucca itself is an extremely cheap veg. I make it every so often) The smoothies were 5 dollars and our friend said it was good, very pure. Also to make matters worse it made me so sick after eating that it turned me off completely from the place. Unfortunately I wont be coming back even though I wanted to give them a second chance, but I cant stomach it.

If you made it this far to the review page just go here, you won't be disappointed. I like to make my own lunches; whenever I go out to eat I usually leave feel unimpressed by the limited "healthy" option or feel guilty because i choose the yummy, but not healthy option. But at Green Leaf the only inner conflict I had was want to order because everything sounded delicious and i knew was made with healthy, whole, simple ingredients. I walked in for take out and I'll admit things were a bit slow. They offer a seated service, and the patrons looked to be enjoying there meals but this isn't exactly a "fast food" option so you might want to call ahead (that said this was my only experience here so far). I ordered a Cleansing Cruiser Juice and a Portobello Panini. The server brought the juice out quickly (as soon as they were able to press it). It kept me busy as I waited for the sandwich. I got to the car and opened up the bag to take a bite. I was happy to see that they used a recyclable container rather than styrofoam (yay earth!). As soon as I cracked it open the delicious smell of the panini berated my senses. The aroma was amazing. The sandwich was delicious. Need more reasons to try them? You are getting a generous, healthy lunch for under $10. I mean, I can barely get out of the salad bar at work for that much. I can't wait to come back.

If I could marry a restaurant, I would be ALL OVER THIS PLACE!!! I was SHOCKED to find a vegetarian restaurant "all the way out here," and now I'm a giant addict. I've been to dozens of veg restaurants all over the US and Europe and this is, without a doubt, in the top tier. Foodwise, it's a perfect 10- I haven't had anything that I didn't want to devour like a wild animal and tear up the kitchen to find more. (Being civilized, however, I refrained from that and simply ordered more to go... then ate half of it in the car.) I've been about a dozen times now, trying almost everything on the menu - including things that I have never tried - and a few that I've always disliked. LOVED EVERYTHING. I've discovered flavors I didn't know existed and rediscovered things I'd written off in the past. If I could eat at Green Leaf every day, I would buy a table just for myself and just let them decide what to make for me that day. You may have noticed the "4-star thing" vs. 5. Why, you might ask? (Seriously, you might!) I decided to hold back one star because the location isn't the greatest, the atmosphere is a bit 'meh' and the people, while nice and certainly attentive, have never really been happy or overly friendly. (Open the door here for the 'unhappy vegetarian tree-hugger' comments...) I'd love to see this place thrive and move somewhere a small step up... that said, I like the fact that the prices are reasonable, so I'm willing to overlook that. Can't wait to get back!!!

If I could grant Green Leaf 100 stars I would. Green Leaf has become my favorite restaurant in Framingham. My girlfriend and I are both vegan and we love the vegan burritos and smoothies! The desserts are very good as well. The quality of the food is unmatched. Everything is fresh and tastes amazing. I am so appreciative of this restaurant. We bring our friends (vegan and non-vegan alike) and they always end up loving it. It is so refreshing to have peace of mind while dining. The bathroom has almond scented hand soap too - I really like that. I love Green Leaf!

I was really excited that this restaurant opened up in Framingham as I am always looking for a vegan restaurant and always have to go to Boston or Cambridge. This one is close to home. The food was delicious; however, not everything in their menu is served throughout the day, even on the weekends which is a huge bummer. I always wanted to try their lunch menu but can never get there during the time it is offered. I have eaten here 3 times and all 3 times their service has been horrible. Note: these 3 instances the restaurant was relatively empty. The first time I took my mom and the waitress did not bring out my hot tea until after the meal was eaten. I asked her several times for a straw to drink my smoothie but she never brought it. I had to get up and ask the cook for a straw as no wait staff were at the front. The 2nd and 3rd time I took my boyfriend and both times we got the same waiter. He failed to bring our food when asked. My boyfriend asked for the appetizer to be brought out before the food, but it was brought after we ate our meal so we had to pack it to-go. It was nachos so I cannot imagine it takes 30 minutes to prep! He also fails to bring us what we order and charges us incorrectly for the meal. After these 2 experiences my boyfriend refuses to go eat here. The only plus: vegan restaurant in Framingham and the food is delicious. They also offer gluten free options. I recommend if you are really patient with wait staff.

Amazing! Everything I've tried has been so fresh and tasty. I love the Protein Power salad and the sweet potato black bean enchiladas. The location is great too, right off the Mass Pike. It's always freezing in there though, so bring a sweatshirt.

The food here is delicious and creative and that's saying alot considering I'm a carnivore. However, the service is just awful. Every time I go, no matter if it's busy or slow, it takes forever to be seated, forever to get a server to your table, and you must order right away because you will never see your server again. Please, for the love of God management, staff more or train more. You're going to lose business if you don't upgrade the service.

Being less than 2 miles from my home, I wanted to love this restaurant. My "Basic Breakfast" was just that - adequate, but without imagination. My wife's "Greek Omelet" was also a bit underwhelming - the ingredients promised more than it ultimately delivered. Maybe it was the fact that I chose to go there for brunch instead of dinner, but the lack of seasoning suggested a lack of passion. Were they catering to sensitive suburban palates? It doesn't have to be spicy to be flavorful, but today our meals were neither.

Green Leaf is 3 stars overall, though perhaps 4 stars for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. My family has eaten at Green Leaf three times, most recently for brunch. I had the Mediterranean omelet -- delicious! But in an earlier visit I had the Fantastic French Toast, which was absolutely buried under a layer of date-pecan compote. The compote was overwhelming; it almost tasted like I was eating pure sugar. I had to scrape it all off, and even then it was far too sweet. The rest of the family has enjoyed the food, although is not head-over-heels with anything in particular. On my first visit, I had a side order of grilled asparagus that was chewy and was presented poorly. This is a minor point, as it bothered me (though not others in my family): the floor is a kind of tiled linoleum that really destroys the décor for me. I just can't stop this feeling of disgust when I look at the flooring. I'm not saying it's dirty. It must remind me of subconsciously about something horrible in my dim and distant past. I wish they'd upgrade it. The reason why I say Green Leaf might be considered 4 stars for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant is that of the four worst meals I've ever had in my life, one was at the "Natural Food Line" at Yale University in 1972, one was at a vegetarian restaurant in Paris in 2000, and one was at Kripalu. So my scale for vegetarian restaurants is now more forgiving. But since Yelp isn't just for vegetarian food, I have to use their scale. I will be going back to Green Leaf. It's good, and I'm hoping to eventually find a few entrees that knock my socks off. Though I'll put them right back on, to avoid touching the floor directly.

We are not from the Framingham area. My wife found this place by accident when she was driving to the Natick mall. We ended up doing takeout and the person who answered the phone was kind enough to bring it out to our car so that my wife did not have to drag 4 little children out of the car in the pouring rain. As far as the food goes, the Gobi was excellent, PIcatta was delicious. Stuffed mushrooms were OK, potato leek pizza was good, desserts (some type of chocolate banana cake and a vanilla pistachio strawberry cake of some sort were excellent). The porcini encrusted tofu was not really what I was expecting, it kind of tasted like a thanksgiving meal. It's not that there is anything necessarily wrong with that, it's just not what I was expecting. In summary, some of the best vegan food I have had in Metro Boston in a long time. While we are not in the area often, I would get food from here in a heartbeat. I can't speak to the service in-house, but the take out service was A+.

We were passing through the area and stopped in for lunch. We both had soup, mine the pinto bean, my husband had the lentil. Both were good, the lentil very good. Then we ordered the gobi manchurian. We've been in India and it was one of our favorite dishes while visiting the country. This was THE best I've had since that trip. It was fantastic. Worth a trip just for that dish. I wish Green Leaf was nearer to us, we live in RI. The menu looks inventive.

Pro: Awesome vegan, gluten free restaurant. Infact one of the very few gluten free ones in the metro west area. We'd gnocchi and zucchini enchiladas, both of which were gluten free. Loved the taste and presentation. Would definitely keep coming back. Con: Since they've just opened, they are still trying train the support staff for speedy service. I'm sure in couple of weeks the order to plate time will improve. I also feel few of their dinner specials are a bit expensive.

First off, I am appreciative that an all vegetarian and somewhat vegan cafe even exists in Framingham. The food I had was ok but disappointing. The side salad was actually quite beautiful but was ruined by being drowned in oily dressing of unknown origins. If for some reasoni were to return (which is unlikely) I would ask for dressing on the side and for a choice. The Sw wrap was ok but also had too much unidentifiable dressing. I just did not particularly care for the "mango avocado salsa". The mango was unripe and there was no sign of avocado. It tasted kind of like pickles and not in a good way. My biggest peeve is the financial penalty for ordering vegan version of many of the menu items. Vegan cheez doesn't Cost more than the dairy counterpart. It just seems like a way to soak people who care enough to eat vegan.

The food is INCREDIBLE. I've ordered take out so many times trying anything and everything. The service is horrible, I mean God awful. It took me over an hour to eat breakfast here one day and there were 6 people in the restaurant. To the owners/management; if the service (and possibly location in Framingham) improve, you would be thriving! Dying to give you 5 stars. I highly recommend take out. You will not be disappointed!!!

I popped in here on Sunday for brunch at about 1pm after driving by daily and wanting to try this place. The restaurant was bigger than I expected with about 20 tables and was very clean and the kitchen was open for everyone to view food prep. The restaurant was about 3/4th full with a handful of tables open and the rest dirty from previous patrons. I will start by saying that if the star rating was based on food alone then they probably would get 4.5-to 5 stars as our meals that my friend and I shared were absolutely delicious but unfortunately service was TERRIBLE! I'm pretty sure the waitstaff were under staffed or weren't planning on it being so busy as it was the worst service I've ever had. After being told we could just sit anywhere we'd like it took 10 minutes for someone to finally come over to our table and greet us. When someone did come over they asked if we were ready to order but we didn't even have menus in front of us. We got menus and after another 5 minutes waitstaff came over and got our orders. Waters, coffee, lemon ginger fizz, chocolate sweet potato pancakes, and the Yukon Gold Frittata. After witnessing other tables that came in after us all receive their drinks, food, and pay and we leave. I was confused as to why we hadn't even received our drinks yet. Multiple tables after us were already paying to leave and we hadn't even received our drinks. I come from 10 years of experience serving tables so its not like I have no first hand experience. This was the worst service I've ever had and I usually give waitstaff the benefit of the doubt. Our food finally came out, delivered by one of the chefs because the waitstaff often disappeared or weren't in the dining room for long periods of time. We still however did not have our drinks which after flagging one of the waitstaff down finally came a few minutes later. The frittata and pancakes were absolutely delicious as my friend and I shared them both. The frittata was very fluffy with delicious creamy potatoes above a layer of eggs and covered in mozzarella cheese. Anything covered in cheese is delicious! The pancakes were delicious and they did not skimp on the chocolate chip and sweet potato filling. This prices for food were on par with other places at about $7-10 per plate but they also have fresh made smoothies and juices that were priced at $5-7, outrageous! They must be made with gold. The portions were perfectly sized. I would be willing to give the waitstaff another chance as the food was really good but if the service persists to be bad I'd have to stick to just takeout.

Can't say enough good things about this place. As a long time vegan I've eaten at my fair share of veg/vegan places, and this is one of the few that goes above and beyond the average. A huge menu with items that balance both health and accessibility. All sorts of good appetizers, salads, dinner/lunch entrees, smoothies/juice and of course desert. I definitely will be coming back for brunch, as the menu for that looks incredible. This is a great place for non-veg people looking to introduce healthier/veg options into their diet. Almost all items can be prepared vegetarian/vegan (cheese/dairy comes on a lot of dishes), which I think helps the food appeal to a broader audience. If you are looking for excellent vegetarian food that especially stands out among the standard chain fare of the suburbs, look no further!

My friend recommended this place. I went with her, for dinner. This was her third meal here, in two days. I'm not a vegan but I do enjoy vegan food. I was excited to see dishes which featured sweet potatoes, it's my favorite veggie. I had the sweet potato kale guesadilla. It wasn't spicy and it was a yummy twist on a guesadilla. Big portions sizes. For desert, you must try the mango creme brûlée. Service was attentive, great for people who do dairy-free, gluten and more. I will be back to try the smoothies and hopefully brunch.

This is the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant I've been too - food wise. You will not be disappointed in the food. I've tried half of the menu items, and loved them all. I love that is is located next to a pizza place and a D'angelos. A couple suggestions for the owners... 1. Growing pains - they have to figure out the service issue. Long waits and disorganized service are to be expected in a new restaurant. Really, how were they supposed to know that a vegetarian restaurant would be so popular in Framingham? 2. The kids menu - my kids wouldn't eat either the grilled cheese (I wouldnt' eat it either - mozarella is not a good cheese for this) and the artisan style bread is too rough for delicate kid mouths. I enjoyed the hummus sandwich, but my kids thought it was weird and wouldn't touch it (many kids don't like the color green for some reason:-). I'll try the pizza for another visit, but if that doesn't work I won't be back with my kids, thus eliminating a healthy family dinner option. A simple mac and cheese/PBnJ/or grilled cheese with american cheese and regular bread would get them back. I'm sure they will figure out the service issue quickly. The kids menu I hope they don't make a stand on as I would come once a week with the kids if they offer food they'll eat.

If you like healthy, nutrituous, and tasty food this is the place to be. Framingham/Natick finally has a place a vegetarian can feel at home in. I love the open kitchen. Quick review since we just popped in for a quick lunch. I was SO excited to see a vegan / vegetarian place in Natick and wanted to support it. When we first went in, there was a sign saying wait to be seated... and we waited for a bit since there was only one waitress for about 8 tables of people. It seems like a "seat yourself" sign during lunch would have been helpful since we were invited to sit wherever we wanted once they did come to seat us. The staff was nice and friendly too. Also, there are to-go menus that we looked at while standing there, but the restaurant actually has 3 different menus it offers to diners depending on the day and time. So the potato leek pizza we got excited to try was not available. Disappointing. But what we did get to try was really good. I also love the fact that they don't rely heavily on soy products or fake meats. The menu seems like it was made to showcase vegetables and natural protein sources. What we ate: Me and my Fiance had the Beet burger with sweet poato fries and the Gobi Manchurian. Gobi Manchurian was PERFECT! So delicious and exactly what we wanted. Crispy fried cauliflower coated in a chickpea batter and tossed with onion in a tomatoish sauce. Get it next time you go. Seriously. Do it. The beet burger was also great, but a little mushy for our liking. It seems like it would have benefited from a little more time on the grill. The seasoning blend was spot on though. The bun was great and home-made. The sweet potato fries were a nice balance. We felt full and happy afterward, and everyone around us seemed to be really enjoying their meals as well. I can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu.

In a nutshell: Food was great, service was horrible! Waited forever for our food. Got our drinks (smoothies) only after asking multiple times, and after we had finished our meal. The place was not even that full. I'm disappointed, because I'm psyched that there is a vegetarian restaurant in town, but PLEASE, hire more waitresses, or train them, or get it together, please!!! I'll give it another try...

Food was great, but took 30 minutes for us to get our soup and the meal came out within 3 minutes of our appetizers. Seemed like our waiter forgot to put in our order and rushed everything out as a result. It was worth the wait though, as the food was excellent. They definitely need a hostess to seat people and cash people out, as our waiter was also performing this duty. Perhaps that was the reason for the delay with our food. One thing I'd mention is that they need to educate their waitstaff on the menu. I overheard a waitress wrongly telling a customer that seitan was soy based. Since it's made from wheat gluten, a mistake like that could send an unsuspecting person with Celiac or an allergy to the hospital.

Love this place! The food was delicious and the menu is fairly large, considering it's all vegetarian. The service was great and the food came out fast (granted, we were one of two parties in the restaurant at the time). I would have liked to give this place five stars, but we went there specifically for vegan fare and were disappointed to find that there was an upcharge for most of the vegan entrees. Most of the appetizers, however, were vegan and very reasonably priced. We will totally be back . Still worth the drive from Worcester.

I can't say how glad I am to have another option for healthy eating in Framingham. I've been here a few times and have not been disappointed. Being gluten and sugar free can make this difficult, since "healthy" for Green Leaf means you get more vegetables, but the chef is very accommodating and there are gluten free options for all their sandwiches. One of my favorite dishes so far is the lentil soup. My dad had the burrito and loved it. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna pizza on gluten free dough and found it to be his favorite gluten free pizza by far. Though the gluten free bread is not my favorite, their portabello mushroom sandwich was a treat -- full of flavor! I've had it twice; once with sweet potato fries and once with a side salad. Isn't it nice to have such healthy options? The location can be a bit tough to get out of since it is right across the way from the entrance to the Mass Turnpike, but this place is definitely worth it!

Brunch for vegan sister-in-law's visit. Excellent French toast--vegan and my husband ate it. Maybe a tad too sweet for some. I expected my sweet potato pancakes to be all orange but they just had chunks. I'd like to try the smoothies and juices next time. We'll be back even without a vegan!

Had the Veggie Burrito. Quite generous in size and nicely seasoned. My only real complaint with the place is that it's pretty noisy, due to hard surfaces on all the walls and the floor.

I've gone three times now with friends who like to share, and have enjoyed especially the smoothies and appetizers. Also vegan desserts are a treat for me. I find the main entrees hit or miss, but can recommend the lunchtime beet burger, and the seitan piccata at dinner.

Very disappointing... I was looking forward to not having to drive all the way to Watertown or Brookline for a good healthy meal but after trying this place, I'll definitely make the trip. I got the millet risotto which promised to be packed with flavor because of the garlic, olives and whatever else they describe on the menu. It was probably one of the more bland meals I've ever had. Granted making vegetarian meals is not easy, but using bold flavors and interesting textures or complex sauces can bring out the very best. I'm not even going to comment on how stuffy the place felt - no ventilation, hot and humid (and it's only may!) and my view from where I was sitting was the women's toilet! Enough said!

We get food from here quite frequently for lunch and dinner. We like the different salad options and also enjoy the smoky green pea dip with chips. It is nice to have a nearby restaurant with extensive gluten free options. The best thing about this place is that you can get airline or hotel points because they participate in the dining rewards program!

Great food and service. Crazy good deserts too! Mango, coconut vegan cheesecake is simply incredible. Hands down one my favorite places to eat. Highly recommend for any diner...vegan/vegetarian or not.

I am certainly no vegan as you can tell from my other reviews. Since I had chicken for breakfast and will have meat again tonight, I wanted something without meat, but not a salad. I got the yucca quesadilla and it was really good. They have a really wide variety of things on the menu that seem more fun than a salad which is why i will come back when looking to keep it meat-free for a meal.

I am an omnivore turning to Vegan. The food here was fresh and good. They have a wide variety of selection. They need to improve the service part. Will come back and recommend.

I've gotten take out about 3 or 4 times now, faves are the potato leek pizza, cauliflower appetizer, Porcini crusted Tofu. Just realized they also have fresh green juices - need to publicize that more, there aren't many places doing that, it's a great find.

Slow service was the only down side! Food was fresh and fabulous! I had the Protein Packed Salad with the shallot vinaigrette! Packed with flavor! I've been advised to try the Gobi Manchurian appetizer next time!!! I will be back

Seem to have fixed the ac issue. Was there again on a 90 degree day and it was comfortable inside. The chimichurri seitan sandwich was divine!

My husband and I are vegans and we recently visited Green Leaf for lunch. When we got there, we were a little surprised to see that they only serve the brunch menu and not the regular lunch menu on the weekends. So, we had limited lunch options which was a bummer. I ordered the squash soup. The soup was okay, but not great. It was more miso than squash soup. I also ordered the beet burger which had a good flavor but was a very soft consistency--like mush. This made it hard to eat the hamburger without it falling apart and falling out of the bun. I think it could have been improved had it been cooked longer. The accompanying sweet potato fries were good, but also undercooked. I prefer my fries to have a more firm fry-like texture. My husband had the bbq seitan wrap which was really good. He also had the corn chips and salsa on the side. It would have been better had they offered a side that prepared at the restaurant as opposed to serving bagged corn chips. Why not serve regular fries for those who dislike sweet potatoes? I think what makes a restaurant great is paying attention to detail. Cook the veggie burger longer, maybe change the squash soup recipe, etc.

Great vegetarian and vegan restaurant! Lots of delicious options. I am newly vegetarian and dragged my mom (who isn't a vegetarian) there. We went for lunch and split the cashew sesame tofu and Mediterranean mezzo platter. We liked them both! Plus our waitress Meg was very friendly and personable!

Lovely decor and lighting, delicious food. Highly recommend the Tex-Mex pizza and the gobi manchurian. Skip the baba ganoush. Food was very fresh and well prepared. Definitely worth the trip and plenty of parking. Excellent service.

This place is great!! If you've ever been to Red Lentil in Watertown, it's almost the same menu. Went for brunch, but cannot wait to return for lunch and dinner. Brunch menu has something for everyone. They offer creative egg dishes that can be made either with eggs or tofu and they have both real and vegan cheese options. Juices an smoothies are great, if a bit pricey. I had the huevos rancheros made with tofu and loved it. Nice portion, good spice level and totally delicious. Two in our party had omelets and loved them, home fries very good. One in our party had Sea vegetable salad which is very good, but you have to be a fan of hijiki. Portions are good, not too big, but definitely not skimpy. I had the organic coffee and so happy they have soy milk. Great coffee! Only negative is that it was a bit cold, so bring a jacket. Service was great, very nice waiter and did not have to wait long for food. We will definitely be going back very soon!!

Great food. Even though the location is not great, the inside of the restaurant was very nice. White table cloths and pleasant interior. Looking at the menu, there were so many delicious looking dishes. I ordered the Black Bean and Sweet Potato Enchilada. Wow - delicious and so healthy. Instead of a tortilla it was wrapped in strips of zucchini. My daughter had the Potato Leek Pizza. And you must try the smoothie with Banana, dates, almond milk and spices. It was amazing.

I will be back for sure when I'm in the Boston area. The food was amazing but I didn't leave room for desert which looked fantastic at the others tables. The servers were nice friendly and helpful. 5 stars in my book.

A haven for vegans west of Boston! Everything is easily vegan-izable, and all is, of course, vegetarian. The gazpacho soup special was perfect - crisp, chunky, nicely flavored. The herbal teas are great mixes - real chunks of ginger, lemongrass, etc in a large tea sack (not just flakes of herbs or something). The entrees are diverse - you can have anything from a burrito to a nicely presented, flavorful entree (seitan varieties, macro plate, etc). The food is tasty and clearly well-thought - sauces, sides, and presentation are all great. If I lived nearby I would eat there regularly!

Went for dinner yesterday and all of us are not vegan/vegetarians and really really loved the food. We have eaten at teh Red Lentil Veg restaurant in Watertown a few times and founf the Green Leaf to be superior in one visit. We can't wait to eat here again! My friend said after the meal that she was looking forward to eating all of it all over again :) We all tried everything that we orderd and the highlights were the Gobi Manchurian (so very yummy) and the sweet potato quesadilla (really fresh and flavorful). I had the porcini crusted tofu which at first bite seemed overseasoned with thyme, but when all the parts of the dish are eaten together is addictively delicious. The Seitan Piccata would be excellent if not for the seitan which I was told they do not make. THe seitan could use better treatment or something, maybe some caramelization, everything else on that plate was delicious but I would not order it myself because of the limp and flavorless seitan. My guy ordered the tex mex pizza which I enjoyed one slice of but would be better with a much crispier crust. It was a bit doughy and had a little too much cheese. We shared their last slice of strawberry pistachio cake which was really tasty except for the vegan whipped cream which wasn't. I now want all my strawberry shortcakes to come with a pistachio crust!

Just a quick update: I had a chance to have another dinner here and really enjoyed the Sumac Tofu. Excellent flavors and very highly recommended. I thought it was a very nice crowd for a Monday evening.

Gobi manchurian was the highlight. Was very good! The rest of the food was good but not amazing. The service really needs improvement. The waitress said she didn't really know the dinner menu so she couldn't recommend much. Food was very slow and generally service left something to be desired. They also don't serve alcohol or have byob which is a down side.
