Came in with my wife while we were visiting from San Diego. Food was good, staff was awesome, overall a very pleasant experience. I would most definitely suggest this place to both tourists and locals alike. I definitely recommend the crab cakes they were delicious!

Had a nice lunch here. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is good and very fresh. My only critical comment would be regarding the coleslaw. It was very underwhelming. It's a minor point but it's something I really enjoy with my lobster roll. It's worth coming here for lunch for sure.

One of the best brunches I have had in a really, really long time. My boyfriend and I ordered the crab cake benedict and the banana granola pancakes and shared everything. It was just fantastic. The crab was so fresh, barely holding itself together on the muffin the way it's supposed to, and the pancakes were unique, huge and delicious. What more could you possibly ask for on a weekend in Cape Cod? Outside of perfect weather, nothing. Oh and the service was great. Will there be a wait? Absolutely, but only good things come to those who wait. And to say this brunch is worth the wait is an understatement. I will be back soon!

Went to breakfast at 11:00,were told to busy. Had a table 12 ,grill closing down for breakfast,ok,stupid new owners you be out business before you know it. You can't relay on tourist, locals support you more, till now.

My boyfriend and I were really excited for this place for Sunday brunch, as we had seen great reviews on yelp and on trip advisor. However, under the circumstances, I have to give this place two stars. We went this past Sunday, and the place was cute and cozy while the staff members were very sweet. The disappointment came when we were told that almost the entire breakfast menu was not available.... And lobster dishes were not available because they ran out of lobster. Since they recently reopened after remodeling, I can understand why this would be the case. But in my opinion, the place shouldn't be open if they are not fully prepared to serve their customers. We witnessed at least three parties leave when they heard the bad news. We would have left too, but unfortunately, we were on a time crunch and weren't familiar with the area. So almost half the menu isn't available, that's fine. We can find non-breakfast and non-lobster dishes we could potentially enjoy. It's just food, not a big deal. Upon recommendation from the waitress, I got the hash. My boyfriend got the fish sandwich with cole slaw. Unfortunately, mostly disappointed. The meat in the hash was decent, but the dish was bland and the potatoes were undercooked. I ended up eating only the meat, because the potatoes didn't taste like they should. The fish sandwich was good; definitely hit the spot. The cole slaw, on the other hand, wasn't even a cole slaw... It was a tasteless mix of cabbage and other veggies. Overall, two stars. I would advise the restaurant to open when they are more prepared. I felt bad for the waitresses because they had to share the bad news; news that they had nothing to do with. It was an inconvenience for people who chose to leave and an unpleasant meal for those who made wrong choices in dishes. I'm not usually picky or criticizing, but this place was somehow able to completely disappoint myself and my boyfriend, which has never happened before at restaurants.

We went here for "sunday brunch." Ordered two fish tacos, and a "Healthy Way" Omelet (made with egg whites, per our request). This meal was good, but not great. The fish tacos were very Tex-Mex-y. Not overly flavorful. The waitress offered some much needed hot sauce - predicting our craving before it even happened! The Omelet was good, but served with only one piece of toast. A bit stingy! We didn't get the lobster roll though, maybe next time! Of note is the fact that there's NO AC, so this might not be the best option for a hot day.

Wanted it to be a lot better than it was. The dining room was like a small cafeteria, which is fine if I'm about to each the best lobster roll I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was quite underwhelming. Service was good.

Pam seared scallops for lunch ! Excellent presentation and extremely flavorful. The scallops are tender and the rice and asparagus are cooked perfectly.

The lazy lobster makes a nice breakfast and it offers a better selection and quality of food than most breakfast places!!

I went here for lunch on a weekday and had a lovely lobstah roll and the carnivore bloody. Big menu with something for everyone. Cheerful interior and outdoor picnic tables. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.

I am not a newbie with the Lazy Lobster, I've enjoyed the LL over the years. To top if off my friend for years was saying the LL was his favorite restaurant in the Chatham area. We had lunch at LL the other day and decided to have the Lobster Roll. The Lobster was roll average and definitely not the sa me in years past. Something changed. Did I mention the Lobster Roll sandwich cost $24 bucks. I was ok but at that cost I should expect someone to feed me and wipe my chops. Nothing about our lunch was overly exciting including the staff. Blah. New owners? Something is up. I really hate being disappointed when you've had such high expectations. Oh yeah and they don't take AMEX or have an ATM on premises. Bummer all around. I will give it a shot one more time...maybe..

Just got back from Chatham from a three day weekend and we had breakfast here each morning. My husband and I found this place last year and enjoyed our breakfast but this year it's even better due to the new ownership. Everything from the short rib hash (my husband and brother got it two days in a row) to the lobster, bacon and asparagus bene was delicious. They now have a liquor license and although I didn't get a chance to try any of the wide variety of Bloody Marys (dying to try the carnivore that comes with a crispy bacon garnish....don't worry vegetarians, they have a herbivore too) but plan on doing so next year. Oh wait, did I forget to mention the staff? They were all wonderful to say the least. Can't wait to see them again next year.

I loved how it wasn't a big place and not commercial. Me and my boyfriend both ordered the $24 lobster roll (yes, you heard me correctly) and he had a bloody mary. The bloody mary had shrimp and lobster on it, so pretty much an appetizer. The lobster rolls were very tasty, fresh, and not a lot of mayo, which made room for even more lobster. I am guessing the price of the lobster roll was so much because of the area we were visiting, but I honestly don't think I would pay that much if I wasn't on vacation. This may be a better place to try one of their fancy drinks and have something else. We found lobster rolls all over Cape Cod for $10-$17 in price.

Came in Friday morning and they were pretty busy, but we were able to sit at the bar and have our breakfast. Had the breakfast sandwich and it was one of the better sandwiches I've ever had. Great place, I'd definitely go back!

Can not believe it was my first time here. Wait staff is super friendly and the deco is out of a Cape Cod magazine. Food is very nice, I had the French toast with fresh fruit, really nothing different being done here but a classic French toast done to perfection. Someone in my party got the breakfast quesadilla and really enjoyed that as well. Great place for breakfast in Chatham.

Was a bit apprehensive to go to the Lazy Lobster after hearing that the previous owners had decided to sell but when we went in over Memorial Day weekend we were nothing but impressed. The building looked fresh and clean, the waitstaff was as friendly and personable as ever, and the few new menu items look unique and exciting (breakfast appetizers, for example). My lobster scramble was delicious, and my husband's hash and eggs was huge and well made. To top it off, I was able to have a mimosa, something hard to find at Cape Cod breakfast spots and I believe new to this restaurant (???) Overall, exciting new upgrades to this already great "off the beaten path" spot. Change can be hard in this town, but we are excited and will be returning and bringing our guests to the lazy lobster this summer.

Was in Chatham for Memorial Day and stopped at the Lazy Lobster for lunch. Big kale salad with lobster meat, amazing fish tacos, huge bloody marys, and very friendly staff. We will be back soon!

Lazy? Hardly. This all star team of servers not only made me feel welcome, but they had me taken care of faster than a Manhattan mobster. The place is small, and parking is a bit of a challenge, but don't let that give you a bad taste. The lobster roll was one of the better ones I've had. The fries are very good, and let's talk cheesesteak for a minute...delicious which is a stretch this far north. All in all, 2 thumbs up.

  • Marco M.

Excellent Lobster rolls with a side of chips/fries/cole slaw per your choice for just around $20 or so. I would've hoped for a bit of a larger portion, but it was still worth it in my opinion. We also gave the fish tacos a shot with some guac, cheese and tomatoes which were also good, but do yourself a favor and get the Lobster roll. Buon Appetito

Great place. Loved the food. Whole family is gluten-free and dairy-free. Staff was great in accommodating us.

  • Steve K.

Went there for breakfast today with the family. Wife had French toast, daughter had the yogurt fruit and granola parfait and I had the Lazy Scramble. Service was a bit slow for a breakfast place, but we are on vacation, so we were in no hurry. We will be back!

  • Jeanne G.

Disappointing--quality off--i.e.blt--lettuce rough outer iceberg leaves that I discard; tomatos hard & bacon full of pepper and not cooked!! Crabcakes unappetizing. Sorry. The transition from the two previous owners was seamless--this has a full bar and is promoting bloody marys so this most likely be the stronger drawing card. Referring to a previous comment about the building looking fresh and clean, the carpet in the bar area certainly is not.

First let me say that the place is SO much nicer this year than in the past, inside and out. Everything was sparkling clean, including the bathroom. I have to warn you: if you like Bloody Marys you need to stay away from the Lazy Lobster (only because you'll never leave!) The food is excellent. I had the best Cobb Salad I've ever had. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. I will definitely go back again and again!

For a place called lazy lobster, I expected a good lobster roll. Little meat and lots of lettuce and bread. Also, the bathroom was pretty disgusting. Super disappointed.

I'm a bit let down by yelpers here. I am not so sure why this place is highly rated. This review is only based on breakfast, so if this place shines for it's lunch/dinner menu and that's why you are reading these reviews, please do not consider my review at all. We came here based on recommendations of some other travelers while waiting for the insane wait at Hangar B. Maybe we were so used to the quality and awesomeness of Hangar B's food that everything else is a let down. Not so sure though. The place was really clean, they sat us quickly and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The coffee was also decent. I ordered an omelette and was psyched when the waitress told me that I could get hash browns. I haven't had hash browns in a while and I was getting pretty excited for my meal to come. The kids got the pancakes which were average to good standard run of the mill pancakes. Nothing remarkable to warrant much more than a checkbox. Got the omelette which was cooked well and decent. Again, nothing to rave about but pretty standard. It wasn't huge and seemed smaller than the 3 egg omelette listed on the menu. It was not bad at all, just not memorable. The let down was the hash browns. They were the exact shape, size and consistency of McDonalds hash browns, or those frozen ones you get at BJ's. That's what they were. Frozen pre-prepared hash browns and nothing near home made which is what is the expectation level at a place like this. To me, to throw some frozen potato thing on my plate ruins the experience and tells me the chef at the lazy lobster is a lazy chef. Really.. Please don't offer this option on the menu, just do the standard home fries and don't give me the option to get my hopes up. This ruined the meal for me as it took what could have been a solid 3.5 down to a 2. Have some pride in your food and don't serve any frozen pre-packaged crap. This shows you value your customers and you are capable of better than average food. We won't be coming back for any meal based on this. I don't care how good your chowder is. If you can't nail breakfast, you don't get a 2nd chance.

This place was so good! My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and absolutely loved it. There was about a 20 minute wait for two when we got there but it was well worth the wait. We both ordered lobster rolls and shared a crab cake. The lobster rolls were perfect - easily one of the best we've ever eaten. The crab cake was also the perfect thickness (I hate when they are super thick because they get mushy in the middle) and cooked beautifully. All the food was fresh and delicious. The staff was also amazingly attentive and our waitress was super sweet. We'll definitely be adding this to our list of "must visits" when we vacation on the cape!!!

Wow. Probably the best fish tacos that I've ever had. Fresh fish, arugula, and avocado. I ordered it with the coleslaw instead since I'm not a fan of back beans. Friendly staff and kid friendly. I will be back before I leave. PS. My wife had the crab cakes and they were excellent too. The aioli was very good.

Excellent food. We had the fish tacos on Saturday then came back on Sunday with the family for lobster rolls! Amazing Bloody Mary mix. Super friendly staff.

Went for Fathers Day brunch and was not disappointed. We brought an out of town guest and she raved over the lobster roll. Beautifully crafted on a large tasty bun with not too much mayo. The lazy scrambled eggs were delicious and the Bloody Mary was too. Definitely a place to go back. The clam chowder is an original, slightly spicy and creamy. Yum!

Great ambiance and even better food! Came in with my family of 3 - all of our meals came out in just the right amount of time and were delicious. I ordered the turkey panini and my husband ordered the waffle batter chicken. I love how they took a typical breakfast/lunch spot and really made it unique and different with a variety of options (new, creative dishes and traditional ones with a spin). Everyone was friendly and professional! I will definitely be back!

This is a really nice cozy spot for breakfast. I went on an August weekday with my wife and our two small kids around 9am and eveyrthing was great. We sat right down and had a very friendly waitress. Everything came quickly, which is what you want with breakfast and with kids at your table. The coffee I think was Green Mountain blend and it was solid. Everyone really liked their meals. I had a two eggs and bacon breakfast and shared it with my little girl and it was all very tasty. My wife's french toast was delicious. The price was reasonable. I haven't been to Hanger B to compare but I couldn't imagine breakfast being prepared much better. It is easy to mess it up and breakfast tends not to be earth shattering, but this place did it spot on and I'd highly recommend it.

This review is based off breakfast, as I have not been lucky enough to grab lunch here. I have had breakfast three times and have not been disappointed. Each time I ordered an egg white omelet with various veggies and ham. Presented neatly. I like the option of black beans on the side instead of home fries. My mom and dad got pancakes when I was with them. They are huge! Delicious and fluffy. The Short stack isn't very short! The third time I went with my friend, he ordered one of their egg scrambles and loved it. All in all, they have great food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I can't wait until I'm in chatham again so I can go back for lunch!

Crab cakes eggs benedict & ultimate home fries. One of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten. 4 out of 5 stars based on the food alone. Would have waited 30 minutes for a table but thankfully they had room at the bar, service could use a little improving.

Sunday Review If you have a party of 8 or more, you might be SOL if you don't call ahead. The restaurant is limited where they can't seat multiple large parties. This place is tiny! They have a small lot for parking, free. If the lot is full, you can either park on the street or in the large lot west of lazy lobster. Sunday is all day breakfast, so feel free to sleep in and come here a bit later than the usual breakfast time. Yay! The menu is standard and the prices were reasonable. The Lobster Egg Benedict was on the special today. They also have your standard eggs, omelet, scrambles, Benedict, burrito, french toast, and pancakes. You can always substitute any of eggs to egg whites only for a small price. If you don't want their regular home fries that comes with all egg meals, get their ultimate home fries (melted cheese, bacon, scallions, and sour cream) or veggies all together. -My take- The scrambles gets you loads of ingredient with a shade of eggs. The Eggs Benedict sauce is a bit cheesier and it's a home run if you like cheese. We also ordered a regular stack of French Toast, which was delicious and almost tasted like cake. Overall, everything here is fresh and yummy! PS. They have fresh jams available upon request. Today's were Raspberry and Orange Marmalade. Till next time, cheers!

A disaster. We waited 40 minutes without food. When we asked how much longer it would be they said another 10 minutes. I don't believe that, I think it would have been another half hour. Breakfast food is supposed to be fast. Nobody will wait 50 minutes or more for breakfast. NOBODY. I kept watching the kitchen door and hardly any food came through the door. Glaciers move quicker than the kitchen that day. They were also out of home fries at 10:30 am. I overheard an apology about someone's eggs, (they were taking them off their bill). There was no sense of urgency by any staff, including the owner. Even only one cook working should be able to push out some meals in a reasonable time. They have new ownership. They have a LONG way to go based on my experience. As the summer approaches and their customer count increases, there may be a lot of frustrated and hungry diners. When we left and went somewhere else for breakfast it took 8 minutes to get our food. Ticket times people, ticket times.

Had a {LOBSTER ROLL} here while traveling for work. Pretty tasty, and the bread that it came on was perfectly toasted. I thought the slaw that it came with was okay - one thing to note is that there is NO AC so consider coming here on a cooler day.

I've spent my entire life failing to comprehend the appeal of the lobster roll, but the Lazy Lobster turned that all around. Theirs is delicious. DELICIOUS. Worth all the fuss and the dramatic parking situation. I'd like to go have another right now!

Found this place last minute on Yelp, we were on our way out of town and decided to give it a try. Looks like a family run place, all the staff was attentive and one young waitress even helped an elderly women to her table! My boyfriend and I split a bowl of their clam chowder, it was delicious...although a little on the thin side for my taste. If you like a thick and hearty chowda this probably wouldn't be for you. I then had the fish and chips and my BF had the fish tacos. Fish and chips were outstanding. Nice and light....fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy...and the tarter sauce...out of this world. The fish tacos were fresh, delicious and came with a side of black beans to round out the meal. This place is definitely somewhere I would visit again!

Advice: Get there early. It gets packed and the wait can be long. Also, don't expect to get a mimosa before 10:00 AM. Service is top notch. The place is so adorable and their lazy lobster logo is very cute. Even their bathroom is clean and nice. Food is very yummy and when my husband changed his order from 2 pancakes to 1 (waaayyyy after the order had been placed) they were nice enough to accommodate him. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Call me lazy but I'll probably head there for breakfast every morning while we're here.

A cute little roadside restaurant. Food is excellent, we had a bowl of clam chowder, which was more liquid than a typical New England clam chowder, but just as good. The lobster roll we had next was also very good, not too much mayonnaise, with tasty, tender lobster meat .... and the fries !! Yum yum !! Service was excellent too ! The waitress was very quick to tend to us, with a big smile, A very nice lunch experience.

Easy to find, easy to park (2PM on Friday). Had the crab cakes which were good. Some kind of lemon flavoured. The plate was nice with french fries and cole slaw. The sauce with the cakes was delicious. The reuben sandwich was tasty. Service was very kind.

This place was decent. My husband and I stopped in on the Friday of labor day around 1pm and we were seated right away. Because it was a our first day on the Cape and my husbands first time on the Cape, we wanted to order just about everything! We split a bowl of the chowder, which was really good. I usually like my chowder really thick, but this wasn't. There was something about it, though, that made it really yummy, maybe the seasoning they used in the broth. We both ordered the lobster rolls, mine with the side of slaw and his with fries. They weren't great, and for $18 we were expecting great. The slaw was actually bad, unwashed red cabbage in mayo, not tasty at all. The fries were pretty good.

  • Matt A.

This is a pretty nice restaurant. Stopped in for lunch with a buddy while exploring the Cape, and was impressed. Waitresses were very nice, and so was the service. Decor was very fitting but not overdone. I ended up getting the clam chowder and fish tacos. The food was great. If I were back in the Cape again, I would be sure to check back in here.

We stopped by this place while driving through town, it's definitely what my wife would qualify as 'cute.' I had the tuna melt and homemade clam chowder, and the wife had the Cobb salad. The sandwich and salad were good, but not spectacular. Their homemade clam chowder was good, but the texture is extremely watery. I'm not a chef, but if they were able to make it a bit thicker, it would probably appeal to more people. The service was fantastic and I'd recommend this place if you're passing through town.

  • Jaimee A.

We enjoyed this restaurant. The service was friendly and very accommodating to my two very cranky and very hungry daughters. I had the scallop salad on a roll - which was yum. The hubby had roast beef melt which was delish. My daughters had PB&J and grilled cheese. They were both very happy with their food. The only negative I have to say is that the roll my scallop salad came on was burnt. Other than that, the food and service was great.

    (4)
  • Jeremy P.

Service was phenomenal. Now on to the food. Kids lived the fish and chips. Very good flavor. They also love the chowder and this is coming from kids who don't usually eat it. I also lived it as well. It wasn't thick but it was tasty. The lobster roll was a big small but still great flavor. Definitely on the keeper list in the future.

Late morning brunchers beware. Lazy Lobster does not serve breakfast after 10:45 am. After a week of tasting clam chowder at various Cape Cod outposts, the briny broth with a hint of cream chowder was my favorite by far. The lobster with the house salad was delicious - not too much mayo. So for those looking for a gluten free alternative both would hit the spot.

Awesome place! My husband & I ate lunch here while vacationing in Brewster - it was an overall excellent experience! The food was amazing - my husband had a lobster roll and I had crab cakes - both delicious and reasonably priced. Service was great, friendly, fast, and the atmosphere was relaxing! We had our 9 month old daughter with us and every server that walked by interacted with her (she was in a waving phase) - everyone was so nice! Definitely stop here if you can!

In the quest for the best lobster roll this summer, the Lazy Lobster takes the prize. They give you a ton of fresh lobster meat, including a great deal of succulent tail meat. The dressing is light and just enough extra flavor, and the bun is tasty. Just the perfect combination. The place is small and the line can be long, so we used their take-out option a couple of times, and LOVED it. We'll definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

Holy fish tacos! The best fish tacos I've ever had, hands down. We sat at the bar and chatted with the guy who runs the place with his brother--great guy, great environment, great establishment. You definitely want to stop here for lunch while in Chatham. Five star experience, no doubt about it. This place was so good I created a Yelp account just to review it.

We had the lobster roll and the fried fish sandwich. Their service, food, and prices were all good. The coleslaw has too much mayo, though. We'll go again to try the breakfast.

We went to the Lazy Lobster based on Yelp reviews of the place and I can say I was not disappointed. We went there on a Sunday so breakfast was served until 1pm. Be careful if you go at other times as breakfast is only served until 10:45am. I had the special which was lobster eggs benedict. OMG! Can I just tell you how good that was? First off, the eggs were done properly. It was the lobster that really made the dish. They used the most tender pieces of lobster that made the meal incredibly yummy. While the hollandaise sauce was a little on the bland side, I did not mind as it allowed the flavor of the lobster to really shine through. The rest of my party were equally satisfied with the quality of their breakfasts. Two got the pancakes which were very fluffy, another got the Meat Lovers Scramble which was a sizable proportion with the ultimate home fries. Incredibly yummy. The only issue we had was that as it is a small place, the wait was upwards of 45 minutes. However, I believe that was definitely worth it. Oh and check out the bathroom. It is rather interesting (in a good way). I can't wait to go there again.

We were in Chatham last week and I had a hankering for a good old lobster roll. After checking out Yelp for nearby locations, we decided to give Lazy Lobster a shot. The reviews speak the truth when it comes to the small parking lot. Luckily, when we arrived around 1 pm on a Tuesday afternoon, there were a couple of spaces available (we did note that the lot was full and there were cars parked roadside when we left about an hour later). I had a cup of chowder and the lobster roll and my wife had the scallop roll. She enjoyed her scallop roll, but I was not super impressed with my lobster roll. The lobster was chopped and not chunky; it looked and had the consistency of the seafood salad you get at the grocery store. And it wasn't exactly a huge lobster roll either, which was disappointing for the $18.95 market price. It was served classically on a split top hot dog bun, which would have been better if it was toasted and buttered. The fries were good though, and the chowder was good as well, full of plenty of clams. We sat at the bar and service was friendly and efficient throughout. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, just not quite what I was looking for. Would we go back? Maybe. But for a lobster roll, I prefer the one I got the next day at the Chatham Pier Fish Market.

Yum Yum Yum! If you're in Chatham or the area make it a point to stop in to the Lazy Lobster. The Lobster Roll is awesome, it is made with delicious large pieces of lobster, definitely no fill. Stop by and you won't be disappointed!

This is where you should go for breakfast. You will love it. You might have to wait a little while to sit. Especially if it's a Saturday. service is crazy friendly--warm and welcoming, although sometimes it can be very slow. But I have made it clear before that I will happily wait for delicious food. And this is delicious. Oh god, I love Lazy Lobster breakfast. I am a sucker for eggs benedict. Step-over-grandmother-for-it sucker. Here's my order: "Hi, can I have eggs benedict, but with spinach instead of ham? No, I don't want eggs florentine. I want benedict, but no meat. Oh, also, is there aaaannnny chance I can get a fruit cup or something instead of hash browns?" Usually places will accommodate the first part (with much difficulty) but no one can substitute the second part. Fine. Lazy lobster has my dream eggs benedict: vegetarian version with spinach and tomato. You can substitute black beans for the potatoes. It COMES with a fresh fruit cup. I am not lying: my eyes are a little teary with memories of Lazy Lobster eggs benedict. And it's only one of multiple benedict options (others are meat and lobster)! Ok, so what? I've already made it clear that I'm basically a whore for eggs benedict. I'd probably eat it from a bucket on the street. So what about the rest of the breakfast menu? Joe's breakfast burrito was stuffed with a variety of vegetables, fluffy eggs, and cheese. (I always ask him for feedback when I write yelp reviews so I can quote him, but all I got here was "It was yummy. It was delicious. It was good." sigh.) We also split an order of hash browns. Potatoes are cooked perfectly, and you can get 'em smothered with cheese, sour cream, and veggies (again, a variety) or bacon. Awesome. Another day we went there, Joe had the granola pancakes. Served with nuts and banana. Oh my god. Almost enough to skip eggs benedict. Imagine fluffy pancakes, but with a sweet granola "crust" on top. Lord a mercy. I swear, I'll try lunch some day. I know they have veggie burgers, a veggie wrap, and quesadillas. But take my word for it: This is where it's at for breakfast! We were on the Cape for a few days. We ate at Lazy Lobster (as we do every year) two days before we were leaving. The next day (one day before we left), Joe asked me what I want to do for my final breakfast in Cape Cod. I could have chosen anywhere on the Cape. I chose the Lazy Lobster again.

It's small, and my party of 7 had to wait about 1/2 hour. But it was worth the wait. Great french toast, lobster Benedict and fantastic home fries. Omelets were a bit overdone. This is the place for breakfast in Chatham.

We timed it perfectly. No wait no problem with parking. Chose this place because of Trip Advisor reviews. It's small - old home turned into a restraunt. Fish n chips..fish sandwich..scallops roll..crab cake. Fish is delicious fried perfectly n full of flavor Clam chowder. Not thick but full of flavor. Crab cake - good flavor needs to be crisper. My sister did not care for it. Scallop - wonderful wonderful. The bun was pan fried/toasted just right. Only thing I didn't care for was the lettuce w/sandwich. Too hard to eat. The owners are the staff. Charming, so charming!!

I thought this place was an awesome breakfast spot in Chatham. The prices were right, the portions were huge, and the food was SO tasty. My only regret is that I didn't discover it sooner. I hope to go back to lunch at some point and see what other offerings they have. If you want to read more about my time at the Lazy Lobster, check out my blog post, youngfoodies.com/labor-w…

Best blueberry pancakes on the Cape! To bad they are not open in the evenings for "breakfast for dinner"

They're not kidding about being the "lazy" lobster. We waited a half hour to sit and an entire hour for our food. With that said, our breakfast was excellent. The orange juice was fresh and my eggs over medium were absolutely perfectly cooked. Boyfriend got the Eggs Benedict and gives it a 4/5 but only because he says they "skimped on the homefries" but the eggs were delicious. Now for the homefries - deeelish. The ultimate homefries are amazing. They have bacon, cheese, scallions an sour cream on them. They sound like they'd be sloppy but they're not at all - all perfectly well done. Overall the wait was annoying but the food made it worth it and we both agree we'd come back.

Very got chowder, crab cakes, fish tacos, cob salad, fish and chips and a burger (2 year old). All were good, the chowder was very good. Fish tacos also excellent (and we live in California where a fish taco is taken to a whole new level). Also had lobster mac and cheese on the menu, but we didn't get any. They have a pretty diverse menu for a seafood place. Good for those who are with non-seafood people.

Awesome! Fresh tasty chowder (pat of butter floating on top) and a delicious meaty lobster roll served on a grilled hot dog bun. Sit at the bar and chat with the owner who is super sweet.

Lobster roll was fantastic! The chowder although thinner than what I normally like, was excellent. Everyones was happy all around. Down side- no kids menu (tiny menu in general) and very seafood heavy for those (like my husband) who dont like seafood. I would definetly return.

Excellent! I sampled the entire family's choices. Great lightly seasoned french fries. Awesome fish tacos. The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and the Fish and chips were great as well. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. I'd definitely recommend it.

LOVE this place!!! Food is excellent and the service is FANTASTIC!!!! I ate here twice this summer while on vacation and sat at the little bar area. The staff here are super friendly and hard workers. Great variety on the menu as well.

I really wish I could go with 3.5 stars. Wasn't blown away by this place - but I've had some really delicious food during this visit so here goes. I went after a morning at the beach and arrived around an hour before close - no lines no wait, but lunch menu (not breakfast). The service was super friendly. Everything was good, by no means was the food bad - but it just wasn't special. I had the fish and chips, my husband had the clam chowder and bbq chicken sandwich. Prices were reasonable, food was quick.

Best place to get breakfast in Chatham ... hands down. Great food, great service! Only downsides are it can get a bit hot inside and a pretty crowded.

This is the best breakfast place ever! You will find the fluffiest, most delicious pancakes and the nicest waitstaff. A must try!!!

Great breakfast joint in North Chatham. Starting with the iced coffee in MASON JARS; yes, everything tastes better in mason jars, just like everything tastes better with cheese and bacon. To the three-egg omelets, greasy scrambles and stack of blueberry pancakes, our hungover, Memorial Day-hazed group got a good mix of sweet and salty. I definitely recommend the corned beef hash as a side to mix in with any egg-based dish. While not the best service, it doesn't matter when you're at the beach and hanging with friends/family.

1st trip to the Lazy Lobster & it DEFINITELY won't be our last! Woo hoo this place is even better than it's reputation! Spending the summer in Chatham & we decided to try every breakfast place in town. Just got to the LL & its definitely our favorite in the area hands down. Reasonably priced considering the HUGE PILE of fresh yummy food you get. I had the Spinach & Tomato Benedict with a side of the veggie home fries. Holy. My husband had an El Guapo Scramble w/ regular home fries. Holy. Enough food to feed an army & it was SO good! Fresh, tasty, really well put together. We lucked out w/ seats at the counter after only a 10 min. wait, but I'd go back again no doubt & endure the wait for a table if I had to. Go. It's great. Oh & the server at the counter (a guy, didn't get his name) was super nice. Even gave stuffed animals to some little girls who were in town visiting (he knew them but said he gives out the toys all the time). So sweet. Homerun Lazy Lobster!

We stopped in for lunch after going on the seal watch. I ordered the fish tacos. Wow, these were great, lots of fresh avocado and tomatoes. The flavor was fresh and vibrant. We had a large group and I can't remember what everyone had, but I always check with everyone to see how their lunch is and here everyone loved it.

Big delicious lobster rolls featuring fresh chunks of lobster including claws. Great homemade Cole slaw. Hard to find (yelp map and google map are wrong!) but worth the trip. Stop by Marions Pie shop on way home!

While the food is great, the people are even better. We ate breakfast there last Sunday and I left my debit card on the table. I noticed the card was missing when I stopped to buy gas just before crossing the Canal on my way home. I quickly called them, they said they had the card, and were OK with mailing it to me. I received the card on Wednesday (considering Monday was a holiday), I thought that was tremendous service. Thanks for being great people! I'll be back again soon.

Just be careful. They stop serving breakfast very early. We went there for breakfast but they said they had stopped serving it.

After checking Yelp for a great place to have breakfast, wife and I walked from the Chatham Bars Inn and had a terrific breakfast at Lazy Lobster. We each ordered Eggs Benedict (traditional for me and the veggie for her). Eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise sauce was tasty and the portion was perfect including home fries. I added a bagel, expecting a small "Lender's" size and instead got a huge bagel. We sat at the bar and saw firsthand how the owners (the only service help in the place due a "sick call") worked well to keep a full restautrant running smoothly. No question about this one, the Lazy Lobster is a GREAT place to eat!

I love this place! The scrambles are phenomenal! If I lived on in Chatham, I'd be here every morning! Great service, wonderful fresh food, generous portions, well prepared and delicious! I'm only sad I didn't have a chance to go back for lunch!

Stopped for lunch while waiting the check into CBI. Had to wait about 25 minutes but not too bad. Stood in the bar area and watch the Olympics while waiting. Services was friendly and prompt. Chowder was good, little thinner than most chowders but still good. Fish tacos had what my wife described as "creamy, cheesy, avocado sauce of deliciousness" which I took as she liked it. I went for the fish and chips. Pretty good. Definitely stop back for the lobster roll next time

This wonderful and friendly little restaurant is known for their amazing Lazy Lobster Rolls. I visited Chatham for the first time over the 4th of July and ate there twice. The service and food was excellent on both occasions. Prices are reasonable and yes the Lazy Lobster Roll was delicious!

Horrible! You feel like you're in someones house... someones not so clean house right from the start. Dark with cheesey overpriced hotel room wall art paintings. The staff is all under 17 (mostly college kids down for the summer who, surprise surprise, don't care). The food was blah, we had to ask for water, napkins, silverwear, our sanity, you name it... Don't even bother!!!!

Anyone who visits Chatham needs to visit the Lazy Lobster. In fact anyone in the vicinity of Chatham needs to visit the LL, as the locals like to call it. Here you'll find a true lobster roll--simply lobster and light mayonnaise on a toasted hot dog roll. The lobster is cracked fresh every day unlike the frozen stuff served at most places. The Lazy isn't a one trick pony, however. The chowder is amazing and I have yet to find a better cup on the Cape (i've sampled many). They also have a great selection of sandwiches and delicious fish tacos. Breakfast is another place the restaurant shines. Try the trail cakes, french toast or an eggs benedict and you certainly won't be disappointed. Good coffee too. Can you tell I've eaten here a lot? Highly recommended!

Wanted to try someplace new for breakfast. This place is not far from where we live, but we'd never been. Cozy place and very busy. We got there early for a Sunday, 8 a.m., and were seated as soon as they set up a table for three. Coffee all around. I got the scramble with sausage, bacon, and ham, hubby had the eggs Benedict, and lad had the brioche french toast. There was a bit of a wait for food because the place was full, but wifi kept me busy. The food was definitely worth the wait, everything was warm, fresh and delicious! The check came to about $34 for the three of us. There was a waiting line when we left just before 9. We only eat breakfast out about once a month, but will definitely keep Lazy Lobster on our list of places to visit.

It's a shame. I used to love The Lazy Lobster and go there almost every week. Since the new ownership, many of the sandwiches (under the same names) have changed dramatically. Not once have I been happy with the food there. Or received what I ordered correctly for that matter, and I have given them a chance on at least five different occasions. Sorry guys. I used to be a huge fan, but now I have no desire to go back there.

Hands down the best place for breakfast on the Cape and for many reasons. From the extremely friendly staff (who it turns out could likely be one of the owners so they truly care!) to the great food from a diverse menu. Corned beef hash is excellent and the omletes are made just right. I've been here a few times now and would hightly recommend to anyone. The location is great right off the main shore road. The old mason jars, the soft music on the speakers and the comfortable cape relaxed feel make this place one of a kind and must see in my opinion!

This tiny place is amazing. I went there for brunch on Sunday and I had an amazing crab eggs benedict. The staff was also friendly and they kept the coffee coming. Also, they let you order half portions, which my preggers wife appreciated.

My friends and I stumbled across the Lazy Lobster on our recent roadtrip through Maine and loved this place. Their clam chowder and fish and chip as my favorite on this trip and that's saying a lot as we ate clam chowder, lobster, and fish everyday. Their service was also very warm and welcoming.

Serendipity brought us to this place; the lobster shack we were looking for at the marina was closed for the season. Loved the lobster roll and clam chowder! Crab cakes, not as much, mainly because they were not lump crab. The fish and chips were good as well, with the fish lightly floured, instead of battered.

Excellent!! Highly recommended!! We got there 15 minutes before closing and the staff took us and seated us promptly and politely. Very nice! Staff stayed after closing to make sure we got our food. Lobster roll was the best I've had in years!!! REAL lobster meat, REAL delicious! Parking was adequate; enough to be expected for a restaurant of it's size along Rt.28. Great wait-staff and savory food. The atmosphere was very nice, muted colors with area artwork on the walls. Very clean restrooms! Over all was extremely pleased with experience at The Lazy Lobster and would recommend it again to anyone. A definite stopping point for anyone headed into Chatham or towards Provincetown on Rt.28.

A great breakfast spot. Nice but casual. We had very good omlettes, burritos, french toast and OK but not great pancakes. The service was fine, not snappy but professional and cheery. The atmosphere is great, not too loud or too quiet. Good for kids, but not a kids place. Ignore the snarky comments about the decor, it's perfectly nice.

Nom nom nom. Lobster roll was HUGE and sheer ambrosia, ditto the scallop roll, and everything else we had was beautifully prepared too. I had some of the best coleslaw ever, so many places serve indifferent slaw and it can be so yummy if made right. I may have to cave next year and rent in Chatham instead of our much-beloved Truro just to be near this place.
