Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

My staff & I have been ordering from here for years. It's often the first menu we go to...but that's also in part because of the on-line ordering. It's super easy to order on-line! Yummy food, too.

Very good pizza. I'm not from the area and I am getting the feeling that I just dont like the style of pizza in New England. I've had pizza from a few places while visiting and they are always light on cheese. I love cheese, the more the better. Lack of cheese is what warrants the 3 star, but the pizza was very good. Much better than Gino's (down the road).

Delicious!! Everything I've eaten here, hamburgers, calzone, pizza, hot wings and the curly fries, this is that place to HP for that crave, for that game, for anything! Great food, great staff, nice clean place!

Thoroughly displeased with the Greek salad I am currently eating. Wish I had time to go out and get a difference lunch, but leaving a one star review will have to do. The supposedly Greek salad was basically a pile of lettuce with 2 olives and 1 peperoncini. No feta and a small packet of Greek dressing, which is never going to be able to cover the amount of lettuce. Very disappointing.

The worst pizza I ever had. I have never written a Yelp review before now. The pizza that was delivered to my hotel room tonight was a greasy mess. When I picked up a slice all the toppings slide off into a little cheesy pile, leaving a limp, wet triangle of soggy pizza dough in my hand. I had be traveling all day and I was hungry. But I choose to be hungry rather than eat that thing that was delivered in a pizza box tonight. Glen

Don't expect any sort of customer service from this place. The first time I ordered from them, I asked to substitute the duck sauce for ketchup. "Sure," the guy says, as he charges me nearly $2 extra without telling me. Not a big deal, but you don't tell your customers when you charge them extra for substitutions? Anyways, I try to order from them again since I received a coupon in the mail. When I try to use it, I'm told they have no idea what I'm talking about and refused to honor it (hasn't expired, either). Um, you sent out this coupon and won't let customers use it? Awesome - I'll order from Lisa's Family Pizzeria instead. So, yeah, we won't ever order from here again.

This place is amazing. I'm a frequent, so they always say hi and know me. I transferred getting my food from papa ginos down the road to here because I had to try it out. Great pizza, good deals, really nice staff. I always get a medium extra cheese, and there is a difference. The cheese is abundant and always tasty. The inside of the restaurant is quite small, and can problematic during lunch hours, but who cares, you can sit outside in the summer! In the end, really good food, pizza is obviously the best, then their salads and such.

After reading some of these other reviews I guess I'm not alone in my experiences with ridiculous wait times and terrible, rude customer service. Before today, I just kind of held my tongue every time I went to go pick something up, the food is always ready 10-15 minutes later than what they tell you on the phone. Staff was incredibly rude to my girlfriend after she attempted to get a refund. Will never order there again.

Went in tonight and experienced FANTASTIC customer service and GREAT TASTING food. Had the buffalo chicken pizza and it was delicious. Also had the appetizer sampler which included chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, and onion rings. All were great. The young lady at the counter, Hannah, has great customer service skills. When asked what came in the appetizer sampler, she knew the exactly contents and how many of each came in the order. Thanks again to the Pizza Works cooks and Hannah the counter girl for a great meal!

When you have your online ordering system say that the order will be ready in an hour and you call the customer and tell them an hour later that it will not be ready for an additional hour then yell at the customer and tell them that you are doing them a favor and after 2.5 hours the order never shows up and then when you call again you tell the customer that you had told them you would pick it up...you will never get my business again TRUST ME on that one, and I will let everyone know not to order from your establishment!

Nothing much to say other than delivery that takes about an hour or more. Unless you like ordering an hour early and getting cold food I can't give it good feedback.

Very good pizza, crust is soft and crunchy. Sauce is decent. They have a nice little deck with umbrellas and plastic chairs. The buffalo pizza I'ls good too. Good amount of chicken on there. The price is about 12.00 for s large pizza.

Great Greek salad with chicken... It's all I've tried and I can be picky with my Greek salads! Plenty of feta, lots of veggies, and tender chicken.

  • Jules B.

I have for some time been putting off this review. I have now ordered from the restaurant several time and am ready to render my opinion...it sucks. I have tried the pizza, the salads, the sandwiches and each was less than satisfying. The pizza crust was dry and overcooked. Last week I ordered a sandwich and the bread was completely inedible because the bread was stale. Today my grilled chicken salad is topped with dried out chicken and ONE slice of cucumber. I asked for only cucumber on my salad and they sure showed me! Another girl in my office ordered two slices of pizza which arrived with three 20 oz sodas sitting directly on top of them so the pizza was crushed and cold. And the final order was a greek salad for which they did not have greek dressing. Everytime a delivery is made, they have to call to say they can't find our office. ITS THE BIG YELLOW BUILDING WITH THE BUSINESS SIGN ON THE DOOR! The only thing I like about the restaurant is that you can order online to avoid dealing with the less than personable staff.

So my last review ended up being filtered - I'm not sure why. I just got really frustrated every time I signed on to Yelp and all the reviews were really awful. We live in a complex in Burlington and while there is no shortage of chain restaurants we always go back to Pizza Works. Here's why.. 1) Their online ordering is great, super easy and they even have a tracker like Dominos. 2) Their pizza is really good. We've had their cheese pizza and the veggie pizza. During our move I ordered a couple veggie pies and everyone raved over it. There's something really good about their eggplant. 3) The people are friendly, our delivery guy even noticed that we changed apartments after the move. 4) You really can't go wrong with the sandwiches, salads and fries (god I love their fries!). We're moving to Watertown at the end of August and Pizza Works is really one of the few things I'm going to miss about this place. I hope this review doesn't get filtered because they really do deserve some positive feedback!

I have ordered three times here since I moved to burlington a few months ago. Always friendly on the phone when ordering, food was delivered on time, and consistently good. Definitely have found my new local spot.

I ordered twice from here. The first time I got a veggie pizza. It would have been pretty good if it wasnt cold when it arrived. Delivery took an hour and half with an apology from the delivery person. I gave them a second shot becuase it thought the pizza was good when I heated it up in my oven. The second time I ordered the toasted ravioli and a pepperoni pizza. Again delivery took over an hour with an apology from the delivery person. The pizza was only slightly warm. The ravlioli was good. But the sauce is watery and tastes like tomato paste. The pizza was very greasy and had a strange almost sweet taste (probably becuase the sauce tasted like garlicy ketschup). The crust was the only thing I liked about the pizza.

An hour and a half for delivery of one pizza two miles away? I got the "baked ziti" pizza. This is false advertisement. It was cheap cheese pizza with a couple pieces of penne thrown on top. Not worth the wait or money. My whole "trying new places based on yelp reviews" didn't really work out so well.

I see all these complaints, but I find them hard to believe. I just ordered from them, the driver was very polite, and they were here within 45 minutes. Pizza was great.

Just ordered the best Chicken Broccoli Alfredo pizza I have ever had. One slice was a meal but I had to have two slices. In the past we have had their pepperoni and cheese pizza's, and they are also good. I've had the meatball, Italian and roast beef subs, all are delicious. No complaints, CLEAN restaurant and great food.

I LOVE Pizza Works! We just moved to Burlington and it is down the street from us. The pizza is delicious. The sauce is flavorful and I can tell they use high quality cheese. They were so nice when we went in for lunch. My fiance ordered 3 cheese slices and they actually made him a fresh pizza! I had the meatball sub which was so good! You can see the herbs and spices in the meatballs and the sauce was really good. We're so happy we found this place! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. They even have a few tables outside so you can enjoy the weather. We've already been back a few times!
