Having read a few of the negative posts I am wondering why. I just had the best pancakes ever. After reviewing the extensive menu I selected their multigrain pancake and my kids got their special chocolate pancakes. The waitress offered to add blueberries to the multigrain pancakes and then I had them topped with fresh banana. They were better than ones I've had at Four Seasons and other haute cuisine (no disparagement of the Four Seasons intended!). Oh yeah: and how about the carafe of delicious coffee and stack of creamers? No waiting in desperation for the waitress to give a refill. I dunno what the others were complaining about. I'm planning on coming back for the free kids meal on next Tuesday! Cheers!

The food was ok. The reason for the one star is because of the service. It was 2pm and a VERYYYY slow day. Barely 10 tables and yet our server gave horrible service. I can understand if she was really busy with a lot of tables but my friends and I felt Yessenia was just lazy. Our food was sitting at the kitchen for the longest time and our waitress was no where to be found. Afterwards, we had finished our drinks and wanted a refill but took her forever to come to the table. She never checked up on us.

One of the few places in the Boston area opened 24 hrs, which is a hot spot for people who have been out on the town drinking. Friday/Saturday this place is packed after midnight to the point where they have to hire a state trooper to watch over the crowd. I'd guess that 90%+ of the people here are drunk on the weekend nights, which bodes well for anyone driving down Soldiers Field Road. I'm not sure why you'd go here if you were sober. Given the lack of options for late night dining, I'm sure I'll be back in the future. Maybe I'll come on some weekend for the sure comedic value, grab a coffee and watch all the characters.

A couple of friends and I decided to try this IHop out last Sunday Morning. We entered a lobby full of children running around. Glancing further into the restaurant, more children.... lots more. Now, I love kids. Just not a giant room full of screaming ones at 8AM on a Sunday morning. We were told it would be a ten minute wait and were handed a card that said "Donald Duck". That's when we walked out the front door.

Let me get this straight. You order 2 eggs sunnyside up, white toast, sausage and bacon, and you get *this?* To be fair, this was not my order; it belonged to someone else at our table. But the entire table was flummoxed when the order-er received a plate with eggs, toast, a single strip of bacon, and a lone, anemic-looking link of shriveled sausage. Ok, look. I've been here before. I was a drunken youth too, stumbling in the door at three in the morning, and you could have probably put Alpo on my plate and I would have thought it was steak au poivre. But even in my most inebriated state, I would still have noticed if half my meal was missing. When the member of our group complained that he was given a *suggestion* of the food he'd ordered, they brought him a couple extra links and strips...and then charged him an additional six dollars. I mean, serially? There's no point at all. If I remember correctly, my own order was unremarkable. But it seemed that in the former case, they were taking advantage. Blah.

It is past 10:30pm, and you want to hang out with your friends for a bit longer? Go to IHOP! Pouring over the menu, we wanted hash browns but weren't actually hungry, so two of us split an order of stuffed french toast. Yeah, I know that doesn't seem to make any sense, but neither the pancakes nor omelets are served with a side of the carb, while the stuffed french toast is, so there you go... Unfortunately, their version of hash browns is of the shredded potato variety, which I seem to keep forgetting. I prefer the cubed sort, with crispy sides. The eggs were as requested. The bacon could have used a bit more color. Now the stuffed french toast... that was interesting. I guess I was subconsciously expecting a thick slice or two of bread, with cream cheese stuffed into a slice cut into the center, dipped in an egg batter, and fried to creamy perfection. Cream cheese, yes. But the bread turned out to be a triangle with rounded corners, sweet with a cinnamon fragrance, and reminiscent of a fried donut. Interesting. And it was served on a small plate with whipped cream and strawberry topping, apart from the rest of breakfast - smart, since it kept the sweet from encroaching upon the savory. But, I think I'll try something else next time. Ultimately though, you don't really go to an IHOP late at night for the food. Service was efficient, so that was fine. And they settled us at our table pretty quickly, and just as quickly resettled us with the addition of a square table to our large round and a few more chairs when several late arrivals joined us. Outside of the large end area where they had seated several other large parties at a mix of round tables and square, the place was actually pretty empty when we got there, but by 12:20am when we left, the tables and booths at our end of the restaurant were pretty much occupied.

IHOP is only good when I'm drunk or hungover. That is all. The servers here ALWAYS get my damn order wrong too. How hard is it to have a sampler with EGG WHITES?

Suprisingly and sadly one of the few places open 24 hours in the Boston area other than CVS. This is the place everyone goes after the bars close, and it's almost impossible to find a seat from 2-4am on weekends. The quality of the food is pretty good but the prices are pretty steep for a diner, a real non-corporate diner would shave 3-5$ off every item on the menu here, but since it's the only place open 24 hours people can't complain. Restrooms aren't too clean unfortunately and they can seem a bit understaffed during their drunken rush hour (2-4am) but again, you know what you're getting into ahead of time.

(review dated 2/09): was never that crazy about pancakes slathered in maple syrup to begin with. people say it's good when it's 3am and you're drunk and hungry. me? not so much. just find the place very packed and noisy w/drunk people, fearing for my life that one of the drunks will start a fight (food or fist) anytime soon. maybe i just wasn't drunk or hungry enough. :)

It's 2:00am. You're either bored, drunk, hungover, or all of the above and are trying to wind down from a long day. The only place that's open? None other, than your International House Of Pancakes. Ah, but here's the thing. I never come here for their pancakes, or even their waffles. I'm the strange one that comes solely for their Crispy Chicken Salad! It comes with garden greens topped with diced crispy-fried chicken, tomatoes, crispy bacon, Jack and Cheddar cheeses and a hard boiled egg altogether tossed with honey mustard dressing and served with garlic bread. So Good! The usual late night servers are there, always trying their best to deal with the cranky (or crazy) customers. Parking is available in their lot, it's open for 24 hours/7 days a week, and although the bathroom isn't something from a 5 star hotel, it's not a complete dump either. You can get breakfast foods at all hours of the day and is definately has been a place that my friends and I will come back to, again and again.

Open 24 hours and great for large groups. I have shown up at 1:00 AM with 10 hungry college students and no problem with seating or service. The food's not great and the syrup isnt syrup but whta'd you expect? This IHOP (and I think all of them?) have a special $7 dollar menu you can ask for. 7 entrees each at 7 dollars. Great value for the cost or if you hungry late name

I went on the day that when you donate 5 dollars you get a stack of pancakes. I never got my pancakes, I donated my money anyways because I am not a jerk. I just dont understand why the service is so terrible here, it always has been.

I NEED to put this as an update to my original review. My boyfriend, a couple of friends, and I went here Saturday morning at about 2am. My boyfriend got some bacon hamburger (where my boyfriend encountered the craziest and most annoying exchange with the waitress), I got the strawberry banana pancakes, and our friends got something else, I don't remember. But the most important part here is that at 5am, my boyfriend woke up puking his guts out and had been ALL day. Clearly it was food poisoning, no one else got sick. I really advise everyone not to eat here. It's such a shit hole, excuse my French, but it really is. And the waitress was useless.

disgustingly dirty. wherever you looked, there was garbage on the floor. if the dining area was dirty, I can't imagine how the kitchen would be. and our food was way undercooked. ugh, I'm all set with IHOP.

Your standard issue IHOP with slightly problematic parking. Full menu, congenial enough staff and the glorious Free Pancake Day yearly. If it's late or you're out of options this pancake house is there for you.

This is where I learned what the word 'drunchies' means. Open 24 hours a day and conveniently located between Boston and the Metrowest towns of Watertown and Waltham, this is where I always seem to find myself after a night out on the town that I don't quite remember. You are not allowed to eat at IHOP and maintain your credibility as a Yelper unless it's between the hours of 1am and 5am and you're trashed. Seriously, I don't think I know what this place looks like in daylight. The wait staff here is horrible, but after a night of Sake Bombs and Mongilian Motherfuckers I suppose I'm not exactly a pleasant customer either, so I consider it a wash. But the more intoxicated you are, the better the food will taste (and the less annoyed you'll be with the bad service). When ordering, avoid anything that's green or needs to be fresh - order something fried and you'll do just fine. Here are some of my memories of this IHOP: "Encouraging" pledges of my fraternity to steal various dining room items. In a box in my basement I have two IHOP coffee pitchers, several menus and a complete set of (full) IHOP pancake syrups (including the tray they come in). Walking through the restaurant in a princess costume, complete with blond wig, makeup and 3" pink heels. And being hit on by a guy too drunk to notice that I was a man (then running from him when he realized I wasn't a chick and wanted to kick my ass for 'turning him fag'). Fishing ice out of water pitchers because the waiter wouldn't bring me an ice pack to nurse a gigantic welt on my leg, compliments of a rubber bullet from the first Red Sox post-game rally/riot. A restaurant-wide food fight with all-you-can-eat popcorn shrimp that had to be stopped by the police. We retreated out the emergency exit and sought refuge behind McDonalds, but remembered to take the remaining shrimp and a bottle of hot sauce with us. Harassing (and probably stiffing) Han, the ever-unsmiling king of the weekend nightshift at IHOP. IHOP, I give you 3 stars for the memories,1 star for the food, and a big middle finger because I'm shitfaced.

IHOP. It's a place I have known intimately since high school. I have been there slightly less than sober, more than slightly hungover, and everywhere in between. Because it's open 24 hours a day, it is perfect for rehashing a crazy night, a random middle-of-the-week dinnertime pancake craving, and even after the wedding where we didn't get fed. It's not fancy by any means, but you walk in knowing you can get exactly what you want there. Pancakes, omelets, meat, and potatoes. You can even get non-breakfast food. I was pleasantly surprised by the yum factor in their chicken fingers. The service ranges from nice people just trying to make a living to the guy who literally clocked out and left before serving us our food. Yes, you may have to deal with disengaged employees once in a while, but for the most part the people are nice. Plus, the prices just can't be beat.

To all the ihop naysayers I have a few questions: How you gonna hate on pancakes? Where else are you going to find 4 types of syrup? Where else are you gonna get service with a smile at 4 in the morning while drunk off your ass? These question will lead you to one conclusioin: IHOP is the sh*t!

  • Michael R.

Not great, but not terrible. The double-blueberry pancakes are pretty good, good enough so there's no need for syrup, and our server was actually very friendly too. Based on the food and service alone, this IHOP gets a solid three stars. However, I had to go to the bathroom when I stopped in for breakfast. (Yes, I'm a twenty-something college student and I was there while COMPLETELY SOBER). The full-length mirror located right next to my crotch was pretty ridiculous. Since I'm not an exhibitionist or a felon, I'd like to keep my junk to myself, thank you. I've heard stories of Russian prostitutes in the ladies room as well. So yeah, IHOP is the anti-definition of classy, but it's still got good food, especially if you're hammered.

Had breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. I was greeted right away. Drinks brought right away. Food came quick and hot. Food was good. Server came by several times to see if we needed anything. Had better service here then at more pricey restaurants.

The food is what you expect. It's a 24-Hour iHop! But I have to stay true to how I rate and rate based on quality of food regardless. 3 stars for decent service, decent food. Came here at 6am with my friends we ordered a double BLT for me, a salad and sandwich for another and a sandwich for the other. The food was decent but not worth the price at all.. $8 for a double BLT and fries. The server looked like he wanted to kill himself but I understand young padawan,.. I understand! 3 STAR!

This place was the first stop for our visit to Boston (part of a tradition we have come up with during our wknd trips - stopping by the local ihop). The food was standard ihop. Two of us got extra pancakes in our order - not sure if by mistake or by graciousness. But, we were thoroughly pleased with the deal. Had coffee for the first time at Ihop at this location - to great disappointment. We ordered regular. But, might have received decaf. None of us ever had decaf before and therefore didn't know how it was. But, the coffee just didn't taste right. I gave this a 2 start for a particular reason - not for the food. During my restroom visit, I noticed a manager using the urinals. I went in, did my thing and went to the sink to wash off. The manager/supervisor, instead of waiting for me to finish up at the sink, walked straight out. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??? I don't know what his employment position is, but I noticed him directing the waitresses at the other end of the dining hall. Hopefully that's all he does and not touch anyone's food. Apparently they need to actually put up a sign directing employees to wash hands before leaving restroom instead of using common sense.

If you are going to stay open for 24 hours, staff IHOP for 24 hours. It's a recession, there are plenty of people looking for jobs. They were severely understaffed at 2AM, on a night when school was out, college students were home for the holidays and general cheer was being spread through out the Commonwealth. Won't even mention the state of the bathroom. It made highway rest stops like sterile.

I have fond memories of IHOP. Most of these fond memories happened when I was between 21-24 and slightly intoxicated to say the least. So my trips to IHOP sober, awake and with taste buds intact are few and far between. In my sober state it is cleaner then I remember and there is plenty of parking. Coming at 6 PM however it is a very different crowd. Most where in their 60's and up. About two weeks ago during that massive thunderstorm we lost power. Our apartment was hotter then hell and with no way to cook. We picked IHOP due to the fact we had a coupon and we wouldn't have to look for street parking. So my standards where not too high to begin with. They have nutrition facts on the menu which is scary but since both our meals showed up prepared very different then how they where promoted I doubt they are accurate. I ordered a shrimp, broccoli and roasted potato meal. It looked delicious on the menu and was one of the healthiest things I could find. My husband got the country fried steak. His country fried steak did not resemble meat and tasted like deep fried salt. It was gross. But he eats absolutely anything. My shrimp meal. Did not come out grilled but deep fried and dripping oil. Over fried and burned. The broccoli was not really cooked and it came with hash browns not roasted potatoes. It was gross. Shame on me for picking this. I really wanted the double chocolate chip pancakes because those are amazing but not being drunk talked myself into this "healthier" dish I barely ate. Learn from my mistakes. Get the pancakes. These people can't really make anything else.

It's cheap and serves breakfast all day. That's pretty much the best way to summarize such an establishment. Aside from that it is spacious and has lots of parking space but it will get saturated on Sunday mornings after people get out of church. You won't stand a chance trying to get a table. It is open late, pretty clean and the staff is alright. They serve quickly and have reliable food. It's greasy, fatty, sugary, and really bad for you. But everyone craves that once in a while. You could always drive an extra few minutes to the "Talk of the Town" for a much better breakfast, but this place is opened during more hours.... 24/7 actually if I recall correctly. That's really rare and that's one of the top reasons as to why this place is great. So yeah if it's late and your not counting your calories, swing by this place and clog your arteries on their pancakes!

  • Maria V.

I was here a 3:30am on a Saturday... Maybe. Scrambled eggs were cold but the pancakes came to our table fast enough. I think. Coffee was drinkable. You know when it's really late and you may or may not have imbibed some Beverages and time passes really really fast? That helps when you come here. I liked the random Statie hanging out in the lobby, kickin' a can and looking so forlorn. 24 hour pancakes. Packed to capacity at 3:30 in the morning on a Saturday. At least when I woke up later that day I definitely wasn't hungry!

I'd like to meet someone who's been to this IHOP for something other than "fourthmeal." If memory serves (and it very well might not), I've only visited this location after 11 PM -- and I know for sure that I've been there very late at night. It's pretty much the only game in town at that hour, so you'll see the place filled and feel like you're in some sort of breakfast Twilight Zone. The food is, well, it's IHOP. Don't expect much, since you're not going to a quality dinner or a Cracker Barrel (I'd love to see Cracker Barrel expand their hours to 24x7 to experience drunk college students rummaging through the general store and reminiscing about a time long gone). The good news is that you can get breakfast or diner all night to satisfy that craving for eggs, pancakes, or a crock of soup you didn't realize you had until the bag of Doritos was depleted. I fondly remember a redheaded waitresses who was seemingly always our server. She did a great job and I'd hope that tips at that hour are generous given the context and the craziness of eating in lieu of being asleep. What's stranger yet is seeing anyone other than college students there at that hour, but you'd be surprised who comes out at the bewitching hour.

My not so guilty pleasure because there's the Simple Fit Menu! I love how the menu tells you exactly what you are eating and the healthier options they have available. The staff is nice and they are FAST, I can go in, order, eat and pay within 20 minutes! I recommend it!

It's IHOP, so if you've been to one, you kinda already know waht you are in for. Stopped in with three other ladies, and we were surprised at how unbelieveably busy it was for 1 pm on a Saturday. Really! The menu is huge and full of pix, and the staff kinda all looks the same, but the portions are pretty filling. I had the Viva la French Toast, and it was yummy. They have a bunch of crepes, which is what others got; as well as several pancake platters. Coffee sucks and the wait staff really needs to wake up. Our server forgot waters after being asked 3 times and he also brought us some random pancakes. I don't know how you can get confused by reading an order YOU wrote down, but this guy certainly did. He was pleasant enough, but everything was , yeah, sure! It took forever for us to get the check, but it is not bad for a breakfast joint. I'd only go back if I was in the area, and wouldn't make a special trip out here.

The good news ... went there on a Sunday morning and got right in. I found the wait staff to be friendly and efficient. The food well I have eaten at iHOP over the years and the food is the same. It's OK nothing great but it won't kill you either. I had the 2x2x2 ... 2 eggs ... 2 sausages ... 2 pancakes. The eggs were cold ... not room temperature ... cold ... not all of the eggs but parts of the eggs ... I am not sure exactly how you do that. Rather than complain I worked my way through them left a nice tip and was on my way. I don't expect anything great from an IHOP ... and I wasn't disappointed. Go back again? Yeah sometime but not in a big hurry. Went back again and it was much better. Waitress was great and food was at the proper temperature.

Visiting IHOP, I'm not expecting fine dining, so my expectations are lowered. When my brunching companion and I were seated near the kitchen area, I was mesmerized by the efficiency of it all. It seemed like hundreds of similarly-dressed waitresses would place their orders, pick up plates, squirt some whipped cream here and there and rush it back to their assigned tables. Our waitress, Mridula, was very kind, patient and efficient. She was the highlight of our meal, which was otherwise acceptable but lackluster. Again, appropriately low expectations, so it was all good. My ham and egg melt was just what I expected and I was very pleased that I could substitute hash browns for the french fries.

Funny thing about this IHOP, the place is cleaner, the food and service now is better than it was 10 years ago... so you can imagine...

It was about 4 am and my friends and I were hungry after going out for most of the night. I've been here multiple times and it's been hit or miss, sometimes we get a really great server and other times not so much. We've never had a problem being seated quickly though and the tables are pretty clean. I usually get the chocolate chip pancakes which are always good. I've also had the nutella crepes which were not that great (the crepe was way too thick). But the best part about this iHop is that it's open 24 hours and considering the lack of dining options at 4 am in Boston, I'd say that this is definitely welcome (regardless of how bad service may be).

I have a number of very fond memories of, breakfast, waffles, pancakes, eggs. I remember waking up early in the morning so that I could not only have pancakes but so I could make them as well. Mixing up the batter and adding all the ingredients. When I was really young we seemed to always make them from scratch. When I got older that didn't happen as much. It seems that every time I remember making them we used this plastic measuring bowl. I think that it used to be clear but it had faded and changed and become somewhere between a milky grey and skin color. The measuring marks had held up well with their contrasting red lettering. I remember my dad teaching me how to flip the pancakes. Waiting till you could tell the hidden side was going brown then, handle up, arm slightly down, lift, and one motion arm up wrist flip eyes on the pancake rise, it hits, then back down. So this IHOP is the where you would take your children if you wanted them to have an unhappy child hood, grow up to be bitter adults that will then try to get a job here so they can ruin the experience for generations to come. It's not clean, the staff have a glazed look in their eyes that screams "Go ahead get angry at me so I can hate you even more then I do now". You know that dirty feeling you get when someone won't stop looking a you with that weird apathetic stare. Yeah, you'll know it. No excuse to go here. None.

Still one of my top spots to get breakfast even though it's a chain. There is just something about their buttermilk pancakes that I'm addicted to, so incredibly good. I usually go with the 2x2x2 meal if I'm keeping it somewhat light and simple. Absolutely love the banana bread french toast meal and lots of others like chicken and waffles. This place is insanely busy on weekends so I prefer to go during the week, but the staff always do their job well Bonus star for being open 24 hours and right in the neighborhood.

Every semester, I make my pilgrimage here with our army of 30+ girls...hungry girls. Props to IHOP for handling all our food requests/orders. Amongst all of us, we've ordered everything on this menu and since I graze off of everyone's plate, let me make the following recommendations: The omelettes are crap. They slap squares of American cheese on half cooked egg...kinda gross but still, edible. The crepe-style pancakes are drowned in a watery "fruit" syrup. Ew. The buckwheat pancakes are poop. Order the real deal - buttermilk pancakes. Those are actually very good. The ice cream/desserts are awesome cause I honestly think they just grab everything that posseses even a remote connection to sweet and sinful and put it on a plate. It doesn't matter if you order a brownie a la mode or an apple cobbler, it's gonna be smothered in ice cream, doused in chocolate, and encrusted in sprinkles. The waiters usually speak minimal English but it's not hard because there are pictures in the menus - just point. We guzzle that maple syrup. It's good stuff.

When I was younger I use to love going here after Sunday mass for Breakfeast. Now being in my twenties I only come here after a late drunken night of partying. The food is microwaved. The service is horid. One star for being open 24/7

Spell IHOP, and add -ness. Ha ha. Anyway, moving on! IHOPness is the worst place you can go for breakfast or late night grub. The food is just disgusting here, and gets no love from me. And recently, they've had the audacity to raise their prices... so now it costs $9 to get pancakes late night! What is the deal??? On another note, the coffee is also absolutely HORRIBLE. It tastes like the same coffee left over from breakfast... from eight days ago. Also, I hate all the drunken rowdy club hoppers that walk in and cause a commotion from the other side of the friggin place. I just wanna toss my dish (with the food that I took one bite of) right at one of their smug faces! I know you can't expect much for late night food, but YES, you actually can in the Boston area! There's New Yorker Diner in Watertown, Felipe's Tacqueria in Harvard Square, T. Anthony's in Brighton, and if you venture into Boston, plenty of spots in the Chinatown/South Station area. And hey, even the 24-hour McDonald's next door is better. They should rename this place to IHOPOS: international house of piles of... you get the idea.

Who the hell actually goes to IHOP for great pancakes? Do you guys also go to Applebee's and expect amazing American cuisine? I feel like I've been taking crazy pills reading these reviews. What in the hell people! This place is the mecca for all drunk assholes, since we don't have any places like Pat's/Geno's like in Philly, or a Weiner's Circle. You come here to shovel your face with greasy ass food after last call, not to savor succulent buttermilk/cream of wheat/asshole pancakes. And there's parking, and lots of seats, unlike South Street Diner. Finally, the food comes out ridiculously fast; clearly not made to order but perfect when you're drunk and just want to eat swine and eggs ASAP. That being said, holy crap, this location feels like it should be in Chinatown, since ALL of the waitstaff are asian, and mostly have ridiculously splendiferous hair.

Now lets be serious, this is IHOP, what kind of expectations should you have. Me and my buddies go here almost 2x a week for a very late night (or early morning depending on how you view it) cup of coffee, and some sort of breakfast. Its very relaxed, we always get awesome service, the manager always visits and asks how we are doing. Sometimes its a bit crazy, and if you go on a weekend night, your bound to see some mind boggling things, but all in all, for the money you pay, where else can you sit back at 3 am drinking coffee, eating strawberry cheesecake pancakes **AMAZING BTW**, and just talk with some friends in a cozy atmosphere.

Hungover in Brighton....those were the days. Now I'm more likely to be found brunching in the South End or JP, but it wasn't long ago when the International House of Pancakes was the home away from home for my grease-starved-hungover tummy. Nothing says class like strolling into the restaurant with a pair of mismatching flip flops, beer soaked jeans, an ashtray scented hoodie, bed head, and of course the Hollywood shades. But at least you know you won't be the worst looking person here--guaranteed--says it on the door. There is not much else to say about this place when it comes to food, staff, decor, etc. It's an IHOP. If you expect anything more than a 3-star or less meal, then you need a reality check. Just know that this place is here to serve you and the rest of the Brighton/Allston drunk clientele. Prepare to wait for a table and watch for people who try to cut you in line at the hostess station--drunk crack whores are sneaky.

Since this is 24 hours, it's really the only place to go after a long night. Prepare to be disappointed because no matter how drunk you are, the food still doesn't taste good. I've been here a few times every year, and each time I go, something is missing from one of our orders--sausage links, bacon, pancakes... It's almost as iHop is trying to take advantage of its customers. On the bright side, though I'm not sure how important this is to the inebriated community that frequents this iHop, there is a Simple Fit Menu!

How can you go wrong pulling into an IHOP. This one is particularly dowdy, dirty, and sticky. Service is from another era. I was too scared that I might catch something to really eat.

*shrugs* It's alright, I had no problems. Then again, maybe I'm low-maintenence. Everything was alright though.

I'll probably vote this higher than most because of the fact that i've been here soooo many times. Everyone who's been here knows the food is average at best, but never try to go there late friday/saturday night or sunday morning cause you'll be fighting for a table. But nearly everytime i've been there my food has been right and the drinks were always filled. That's really all I can expect from the place. If you're expecting something fantastic then look somewhere else. But if you've got the hankering for Pancakes at 3am. This is your place.

This place was as good as IHOP gets as far as I'm concered. I've been to many all over the country. Our waitress was polite. The water was very fresh and actually tasted GOOD. (Frequently I find water at any place that cook eggs tends to have an eggy flavor because of the dishes being washed all at the same time and the eggy plates making the cups smell like eggs. Weird, I know but I notice these details!) I got the two egg quick special (or whatever its called) I requested my bacon "extra crispy" it was crispy enough when it arrived. Everything was warm. The hashbrowns weren't that great but way less greasy than normal so I was set. My eggs were OUTSTANDING! Fresh, fluffy, well cooked (I asked for them to be scrambled extra dry/well and they were actually golden browned and beyond my wildest dreams. I'm envious because even I can't make eggs that dang fluffy and golden brown!) Someone else got exactly what I got, plus pancakes. I hate 1/2 of one and it was light and tasty. The other guest got the sample. I gorged on 1/2 of one of the yummy ham slices. They said their food was great. One kinda unpleasant thing was that I ordered something that would have been $1.50 cheaper if only I exchanged my toast for pancakes (which I'm sure they'd be happy to do since toast costs less) because of a breakfast special. I didn't notice this until way after I'd ordered, but I thought it would have been helpful if the waitress would have pointed out a "better" way to order. I've had waitstaff do that before and I'm always pleased and impressed. I wasn't sure how well the cashier spoke english so I didn't bother bringing it up. I felt like the waitress made up for it by noticing one of our orders of bacon wasn't fresh and offered to bring it back to be cooked. She even got a saucer so as not to waste the bacon (which I really appreciated). At the end of the meal we had all eaten every single bite of food on our plates. We were hungry but I've NEVER finished any of their platters before, so that definitely speaks toward the quality of the meal.

This is one of the grossest IHOPS I've ever been to: Flat, mattress-like pancakes, dirty tables & tons of drunk people yelling to each other at their individual tables. On the other hand, IHOP is perfect if you've gone out late and want quick food fast!

Go to Harvard. My friends and I came here late one night (maybe two am, I recommend ihop as a whole for late night food, just not this location) we waited ten minutes to be seated, though the restaurant was almost empty and there were plenty of waiters. Eventually, we just took the menus ourselves and sat down. Another ten minutes go by, my friend has to get up and ask someone to take our . Waiter takes it, storms off. Slams down wrong drinks on the table. The food he brings is undercooked. I would give him some room to be tired, but not rude. The restaurant didn't close for two more hours, we weren't making him stay late. Ended up not having enough money to tip. Didn't feel bad

  • Kimberly P.

This is a pretty standard IHOP.... nothing much to note except for the fact that this is apparently THE spot for raging drunk college kids....for the life of me I can't understand how the servers can maintain a reasonably pleasant facade when they have to deal with drunken idiots on a regular basis. This being said.... IHOP is IHOP... relatively clean, not the fanciest of fares, reasonably priced....pretty much a go to for breakfast food!

  • Julie A.

this is no gourmet dining experience, but they offer a lot to choose from, it's consistently OK and it's cheaper than cheap! OK, on weekends it a long wait, OK it's filled with kids and a lot of people who don't speak English, but it's always open and willing to take you hungry/drunk/tired/bored ass in and help you out. I used to come here in High school and torture the late night staff. I still feel bad so I feel like I need to add an extra star. And you can even buy Christmas trees here in the winter! C'mon, what's not to like? It's freakin' I HOP dude! bottomless coffee for pennies, they'll never kick you out, and it's open 24/7

  • Sandra C.

I know that this is a big chain, but I had to write it up for Boston. There are so few places open late at night in this Puritan town. Wide selection and they recently added a sweet cheese stuffed french toast to the menu that is pretty good. Tip: Ask for the hash browns to be extra crispy. They always undercook it otherwise.

    (5)
  • Laura H.

The best thing about this place is the following: They are open 24/7, they serve B-fast 24/7 and no one cares how loud you are no matter what time of day it is! I always order on the safe side, a BLT with fries or a simple b-fast dish.

    (2)
  • Matt L.

I have to say, going to this location twice it is the fastest and most dependable service I have seen at any chain restaurant. The plce is always packed (I am talking day here people not late nights) and even with the crowds, I am seated quickly and attended to and even served within 15 minutes. I couldn't believe how quick it was. I would HIGHLY recommend this spot for a quick bite!!

  • Kya F.

I hadn't been to IHOP in like 10 years. It was our after hours hang out when I was in high school (because it was either this place or the Store 24). The two stars it gets are for being open 24 hours a day. If there is ANY place else open, or you are sober, go there instead of IHOP. I went today at lunch time. I didn't even get food, and I was grossed out. I ordered a root beer (which was on the menu) and the waitress said they don't have root beer. Not that they're out. They just don't have it. Huh. The bathrooms... yikes. I won't go on. But I won't go again.

  • Jennifer B.

I couldn't agree with Jess K. More. I usually love IHOP. The IHOP in San Francisco that I used to go to was killer. I've been to other IHOPS and have generally always been satisfied. But this IHOP stinks. Seriously. It smells nasty. The last two times I went there (once around 2 am and once at a more normal noon) there was this godawful smell over by the kitchen. Luckily, the second time we were seated far away. Bottom line: Service sucks, place stinks, food is not very fresh, eggs are undercooked, hash browns are undercooked and have a funny taste, but the Swedish crepes are oh-so-tasty and the only reason I subject myself to the otherwise icky experience.

    (2)
  • Kristine M.

Two stars for being open 24 hours, a rarity in Boston. That's about all I have to say. It's an IHOP for cryin' out loud. Greasy food and bad service.

    (2)
  • Becky M.

So this isn't Sonsie on Newbury Street, but it's cheap and it's pretty good. Breakfast is served all the time obviously and though some things seem a little expensive other stuff is way cheap. They have pretty fast service for the amount of people this place sees, the waitresses are generally nice but don't pay a ton of attention to you because they have 19 other tables I would assume. The egg sandwich was good and so was the breakfast I had that came with 2 pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon. And you could pick a fruit topping for the pancakes. Delicious! If you're going to go on a Sunday after church you're gonna wait. But I'm pretty sure it's one of the only places in Boston that's open 24 hours!

I don't understand why people are hating on IHOP!!! No, it is not fine cuisine, nor should you really be dining @ IHOP if that is what you want at all - but at 3.00 am - ? this is the only place open on my way home to the suburbs that can satiate my late night appetite. Matthew H.'s review is so on point .... I posted a picture under my photos which only begins to describe the good times I have had with my friends at this fine establishment late night style... Eggs Benedict and a short stack.... 3.00 am happiness.

I generally love IHOP. At the IHOP on Long Island that I frequent, I have never been disappointed. Here, I have never been satisfied. The chocolate chip pancakes are dinky, dried out, and nasty. How can you totally mess up a pancake!? How!? Who cares that this place is 24 hours. So is Bova's in the North End, the South Street diner, and a few other places. Come on.

    (1)
  • Hans M.

This IHOP brings back memories. Back in college years, I would come here after I partied in Cambridge with all the schools &/or Wellesley girls. IHOP is a safe bet location that everybody would agree on. Since my other "after party" joint is in Chinatown, if I go with a group of people who I don't know that well, I would suggest IHOP so that nobody would disagree.

    (3)
  • Goudy L.

Yum! I don't know who all these drunk losers are, but this IHOP serves a reasonable meal any time you want. You'd miss out on the experience if you came in drunk or hung over.

    (4)
  • Roni E.

Who says you can't have breakfast whenever you want? Especially when you're drunk and got the drunchies! While it is a bit dingy, you have to expect that from IHOP. You didn't expect 5 star dining at 3 am did you? IHOP has always been there whenever I am hungry in the middle of the night and craving for some breakfast foods. Or even on one Christmas morning long ago. Thank you for feeding me when I needed it most.

  • matthew h.

OPEN 24 HOURS! Do you need to read further? I can't remember the last time I ate in an IHOP during "normal" eating hours so I can't say with great objectivity how good the food is. But you know...it's IHOP. It coats your tummy with a nice layer of grease. It makes you feel all warm inside. It's good eats for the soul. For most it's a bit out of the way being at the very end of Soldier's Field Road (which for all of you down-towners out there, is what Storrow turns into after Kenmore Sq.), but it's not that long a trip by car. Via other transport, well... the trains and most buses don't run that late anyway. Did I mention that it's open 24 hours?

    (4)
  • Mike D.

    I just don't get it.

    (1)
  • Lindsay K.

This place is a shit hole. The pancakes are floppy over cooked cakes, the syrup does not even attempt to be maple flavored. Don't even get me started on the service, which would be handled better by a bunch of seven year old blind kids with ADHD. The one appeal is 24-hours, which isn't very appealing when you see the obligatory puke in the parking lot.

    (1)
  • Liza H.

I like to come here when I am hung over and need to consume my entire body weight in refined starches, grease and caffeine.

  • Jennifer K.

I will never go here again. The food is cold and sits under the heatlamps forever because the service is so slow. I've been several times (because, as Matthew H mentioned, it's open 24 hours (!!)) but have never been even halfway satisfied. I'm not snobby. I just hate cold & rubbery food.

    (1)
  • Rebecca Y.

Do not go on Sunday mornings. You will never get seated! Any other time - enjoy your pancakes and greasy breakfast. You're going to get exactly what you expect.

  • Roger W.

So, I don't go out much, and when I do, I normally stay out late and finish the night off with some greasy food. Since there are few late night options in Boston (I was near Brighton), I decided to go to IHOP. That was mistake # 1. Mistake #2 was ordering food. My friend and I split the breakfast sampler. No joke, the food literally came out in 20 secs. Is that even possible using a microwave? Anyway, the sampler came with 2 pieces of ham (more like 1/2 slice diced into 2 pieces), sausage links, eggs, hash browns (hmm...tasted like KFC chicken?), and pancakes (these would have been ok if they weren't cold). Overall, the food was just of very low quality, and it was clear that it was pre-made. Mistake #3 was sitting at a booth. While the booth itself was fine, the light hanging over it was a buzz kill. I believe the CIA uses the same light in its interrogation rooms. Our waiter was polite, which was probably the highlight of the meal. I guess tonight wasn't a complete waste. It was a reminder of why I stopped going to IHOP in the first place.

    (1)
  • Jamie H.

I'm one of those people who could have breakfast for every meal. So heading to a place that has so many pancake options is enough to almost make my head explode. However this place is a little too touch and go (although I feel like I'm Forrest Gump and giving you the IHOP is like a box of chocolates...). I'm sure they have a problem with staff turnover but the experience is just too inconsistent. It can be great or horrible. And the place is usually pretty dirty.

    (3)
  • Carolina L.

ok so this is a place that i probably will not go if I'm sober.. but i have to say that is really good when you get a out of a bar and you are hungry.. the pancakes are amazing and the chicken fingers too.. this is a good and cheap place to go when you get out of the club and need some beer munchies..

    (3)
  • Greg S.

I'm sorry, maybe it's because I spent my younger drunk days going to Denny's when I was in Connecticut, which don't get me wrong it is just as equally as bad as IHOP, but IHOP is awful. Ok they might have breakfast food all day and be open very late but it's really bad breakfast food. Really, if these were the international standard for pancakes, I'd hate pancakes. Yeah they have various types of syrup to put on them but none of them seem to add enough flavor into the tiny circular sponge that they just put in front of you, to make a difference. Speaking of the syrup, when is the last time they cleaned the containers, I know everyone who has ever been to IHOP has gotten syrup hands by touching these things, and a napkin never helps it just sticks to the syrup on your hand. Anyway, never get an omelet either unless you want something that looks more golden brown than bright and yellow and contains more grease than a fry-o-lator. This place is just awful and not even a night out drinking should be able to give you the beer goggles or the appropriate coating in your stomach to make this slop the least bit digestible.

    (1)
  • Shirley Y.

Our late night go to! Service is usually pretty good especially when our favorite waitress is there. She knows our orders and makes sure we enjoy our meals. Who doesn't love a late night breakfast?

    (4)
  • Bryan M.

The only reason why anybody should ever come here is after a long night of drinking or a last resort when nothing else is open. You'll find all types of people here, high school kids to grandparents. There is always a state trooper on the premises so if that doesn't deter you from going in, be my guest. Food here is below average at best as I try to stick to something simple like eggs over easy, hash browns and some sausage. If you can't cook eggs then maybe being a cook is not for you.

    (2)
  • Em B.

Came back because it was the only place open. Now, the place was packed full of middle schoolers, and extremely loud. I couldn't talk to my friends when the kids were screaming and yelling and clapping. Now I did receive terrible service the first time, but I was very thankful the second time. I got a waitress who was pregnant (don't remember her name, she looked like she was close!) and she gave great service. Overall I give this IHOP a 1 star, but that particular server gets 4 stars. I would head to a different IHOP even if it's out of the way.

  • Nancy H.

Come one come all to the newly renovated IHOP! It's been ages since I've last gotten breakfast here, and gosh, the renovations make it look so much homier! Too bad there's a border down the middle of seats in front of the kitchen. I liked watching the food get served up. Cozy booth seats add that touch, but if you don't want to get too cozy don't worry, there are still chairs and tables. Their hash browns come in squares now! Instead of a conglomerated mess. The breakfast is always consistent. Can't go wrong with that gung ho breakfast! And 1200 calories that come with it. I've always wanted to be that daredevil that orders dinner for breakfast but have yet to try. Any takers or current undertakers? IHOP is just the place to go when everyone says "I don't know" to what they want to eat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner ,dessert, take your pick.

  • Edgar L.

It's IHOP. I guess I should have expected it, but I went in with the optimism of an innocent child. An innocent child with a ravenous appetite that could only be sated by carb-loaded awesomeness. And I left disappointed. I ordered the Supreme Bacon Sausage plate with the stuffed Peaches and Cream French toast. Word to the wise: don't get the stuffed French toast - ever. It is just super creamy and sweet - I don't mind that - but it is entirely overpriced for that kind of dry bread drenched in sugar. And the sausages are not very good either, so don't get those. They have all-day specials (my friend and I ordered the cheapest one of those to supplement the pretty paltry but expensive meal that we ordered). They are only ~$5 and they have 2 eggs, hash browns, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes - more than enough food, and it won't break the bank. The pancakes weren't great - and for a place with "pancake" in its name, I really expected better even though I would be let down. I just drowned my food in boysenberry syrup - that syrup is amazing - I love it. You should try eating your hash browns with boysenberry syrup - it'll change your life (maybe). I also had an iced coffee (limitless refills) - it was not good. I would come here again, but I felt like the food was mediocre. And the service was not great either - they took a long time to clear our table or refill our drinks - and I could see them just hanging around and chatting, so that was unfortunate. Yea. Verdict: expensive/overpriced breakfast food. Boysenberry syrup is magical; this place is not.

Everyone knows you go to IHOP for pancakes. If you venture too far off into Anything Else Land, nothing is guaranteed. From my experience, this particular location seems fairly well run during peak hours. On a Saturday morning at 11am, with a full parking lot and a queue that would take 45 minutes anywhere else, my partner and I waited less than 15 minutes for a table. Their queue system is rather hilarious by design; instead of giving your name to the host station, they give you the name of a fictional character and call guests accordingly. The waiting experience is instantly upgraded as everyone giggles when Brad Pitt's party of two is called to be seated. Service is quick and friendly. Pancakes are standard IHOP pancakes, golden, buttery, delicious. The whole reason you go to IHOP. The line to pay can get a tad bit long, but, pancakes.

Classic american breakfast fast food joint. The portion and prices you get makes it a great deal. The food quality is alright, but its open 24/7 and food made fresh to order. My favorite is the steak and eggs, good for any meal of the day.

    (3)
  • Joanna Y.

This particular ihop is pretty spacious. Staff could be a bit more attentive. Standard American breakfast food. Nothing super special. I'll finish what they serve me. But since when did ihop get so pricey? There is no good reason for their inflated prices. Ex: one waffle is $10. Just a waffle, no additional toppings or anything. Save your $$$ and head over to Tresca's in watertown, just a few miles away. Hands down the best breakfast joint in the area. Breakfast is served all day. Now go read Tresca's yelp page for more info. You won't regret it.

Terrible place for food overall, but great place to come here after a night of partying when you get the drunchies. It is okay food. Their New York cheesecake pancakes are delicious though. It's probably the only thing I get when I come here.

    (1)
  • Mike B.

This place sucks -Always make the food undercooked or not in the specific way I asked for -Rude service, the waiters and waitresses are horrible and not friendly -Place is so prone to crime because its a 24 hours iHOP and all the drunkies come out at night that a State Trooper hangs out by the door -Over priced as hell probably because they are the only thing open that isnt BK or Macdonalds. You really should only eat this place if you have never been there before or if you are desperately starving. Screw this place

    (1)
  • Mat R.

Very good when you're in the mood. Although they have breakfast, lunch AND dinner fare, I can't help but want breakfast when coming here. The food can be somewhat hit or miss sometimes, but it usually good. I've always had good experiences with the wait staff as well. What gets them 4 stars for me is a mixture of the friendly service and the price. The breakfast combos give you a LOT of food, and not a lot of money. Coolness.

  • Bill B.

Much better service from Libby who was terrible during a past lunch, my order was perfect, timely & tasty. I had my favorite chicken fajita omelette with egg whites & salsa, side order of hash browns & my wife had the slim & fit broccoli omelette with egg whites. Sorry to hear they discontinued the red velvet pancakes

  • Chris L.

I frequent this IHOP more than I should. Their service isn't the greatest, but their breakfast food is too darn good to pass up! My roommate and I come here at least once a week, which is a testament to our satisfaction here. We usually come at night, so it's pretty quiet. We have come on two weekend mornings with large groups, and the service is much better (weird, I know). I don't get lunch or dinner foods from here because I'm obsessed with their breakfast. To save yourself some money, get combo meals! Adding on sides gets pricey. If you've come here before and we unsatisfied with their appearance, be sure to return! They recently renovated and it looks great!

  • Von D.

Do you know why they call it the International House of Pancakes, because not one person at this location speaks English. The food was bland and the portions were kind of small. A bacon club sandwich which was really the size of a regular sandwich was $10.49, with a rotten pickle on the plate. The real question is was the hair extra?

It all started Friday, December 24th 2014. My friend and I went to 90s night at Common Ground (another FAB recommendation!) and we were just drunkenly strolling back to my Allston apartment after last call. THEN, right in front of the stoop of my building, we crossed paths with a pair of girls who were walking toward us, also quite drunk. It was immediate friendship. To this day they are my Dominican sistas from anotha mista! My BOOS! Anyway, we were chit chattin for awhile and then before we knew it, we were all upstairs in my living room, pouring more drinks and gettin LOW to some serious rrreggaeton! Around 3:30am, our new friends suddenly shout, "Yo! Let's go to iHop!" That was it. Before we knew it, we were all piled in a taxi being ratchet AF! Once we got to iHop, we were seated and then a new character joined in on our crew: Roza, our waitress. Lemme first just say, Roza was MAAAAD LOYAL. She was REAL. Not just a waitress that brings you your food and end of story. She sat down with us, joined in on our drunken screaming and laughter, and was the best waitress I've ever had! SHOUT OUT 2 ROZA! HOPE YOURE READING THIS BOO! So basically, we all decided to chill after she got off work at 5am, so we gobbled up the most delectable, scrumptious pancakes ever! The perfect touch was the dash of Aunt Jemimah's! Mmm mm MMMH! So we hopped into Roza's Prius and she gave us a lift back to my place where she pulled some goodies from her apron and we chilled 420 style till the sunrise. It was a SPECTACULAR night and experience! Highly recommend iHop! It's a MUST

Whenever I'm in the mood for breakfast food, I come here. Lots of variety, good food, nice staff and a well maintained dining room...a great value! I always get an egg combo or an egg omelet and of course, the PANCAKES!

I enjoy going to IHOPs every now and then because you can always count on an extra greasy and delicious meal. It may be a chain, but it's pretty consistent. This was my first visit at IHOP in Brighton. I like that they give you a character or celebrity's name if there is a wait - really cute touch. My waitress barely spoke English and seemed to care more about getting us in and out than anything else. My food was brick cold and definitely not fresh. There was an eyelash on my plate and a hair on my french toast. I sat facing the windows, which were DEVOURED in hand and finger prints. I will never come back here.

Went to IHOP around 530 am the waiter a Asian guy looked very unhappy and this is not my first time there but every time we get this guy we feel like he hates his job. He does not deserve 15 percent gratuity but I know that this is living, but he will never work in my restaurant he had no name tag but on the check says Bo L this must be his name.

+1 star for being open at 3am for a bunch of drunk, hungry and still growing semi-adults. +1 star for fast service (could be due to the fact that it was at 3am, but meh) +1 star for the two two two special. It's 2 eggs cooked to order, 2 mouthwatering but

Good lord people... It's an IHOP. Let's set the expectation, right where it belongs... We went here for brunch on a Sunday morning. And it was packed! The friendly hostess said it would be a 15 min wait, but it only took 5. Our waiter was a friendly and attentive young man, and we soon got coffee and our food. Despite the controlled chaos, all the staff here were smiling and seemed to enjoy their work. Everything was solid. What more can you really ask for?

    (5)
  • Elizabeth E.

Stop complaining, and enjoy the waffles. This is an IHOP.... open at all hours for all sobriety levels. Despite the loud, impatient custmers, the staff are polite and personable- which is a lot to say for an entry level, minimum wage position. I stick to the "sure thing" menu options..... breakfast. After all, its pretty hard to screw up a pancake! My favorite part: Each table is served an entire carafe of good coffee. Who can say anything bad about being served too much coffee? If you're looking for more, go somehwere better than an IHOP. For what it is, this place is just fine.

Went here for breakfast with a group of 5 people, and had a really bad experience. We had at least 1 error in everyone's order. The waiter was despondent at best, management was nowhere to be seen. One person's entire order was forgotten, and then when they finally did bring it out, they brought out the wrong food. In terms of food quality, if you enjoy bacon that is 99% fat and seemingly cooked for a solid second in the microwave this IHOP is for you. Start to finish this restaurant wasted an hour and a half of our time, and we were in no way satisfied. I wish I could give 0 stars.

IHOP is my sugar candy store. I get so excited about going to an IHOP. This one was great! Sugar, carbs and more! The menu is overwhelming because I want it all! Cheesecake pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. The pancakes didn't taste like cheesecake but I didn't notice since they were just so hot, melt in your mouth yummy. Glutten I also got the Cheese Blitz. It was not what I remembered but still good. The filling use to be cottage cheese like with strawberry sauce. Today they came with a smooth cheesy filling with sour cream and preserve on the side. Mr. G got a spinach and mushroom omelette which also came with 3 pancakes. A half order of pancakes (2 big ones) with blueberry filling and whipped cream for one daughter A half order of Cinna Stick pancakes (but a full order of 4 came). Ok so still not enough food I ordered a side of corn beef hash and some sausage links. I needed the meat (some protein) to wash down all the sweetness. And of course a craft of coffee. All in all I was in heaven. The waitress was very pleasant. She has only been working for about a month and did great. Came when we needed her but not too much. 3 slight mix ups but no biggy. I got hash browns instead of corn beef hash but they changed that right up. We got a full order instead of a half and we got charged for the extra. Again, they took the extra charge off the bill so it all worked out. The place was full with a 5 min wait and on Sunday I was told the wait could be up to an hour. No reservations just first come first serve. Maybe it might be worth calling to see if you can put your name on the list..hmm? Free parking and fairly easy off the Mass Pike The bathrooms were chilly (not heated) and that part of the dining room seemed cool too. There was hot water which was nice to get the stick goo off our fingers. The place was clean for as many people and as busy it can get there. Gonna be back for my next sugar high soon!

My daughter and her two friends went to IHOP this afternoon and I have to say the service was awful! My daughter really likes the kids menu but was told she can only order one item and the waitress couldn't help with a suggestion like we can make the grill cheese sandwich but will charge a little bit more and she told her other friend she couldn't eat anything because she is a vegan, I'm in the hospitality business, and it's not easy but I always try to treat my customers with the same courtesy and respect as if I was dining out and this was way after lunch rush and before dinner rush! I always taught my kids to respect servers and to tip well but she didn't deserve anything! I know it's just IHOP but hey come on, if I was with them they would be treated differently! Please Be helpful and be courteous! You wouldn't want your kids or family be treated rudely!

I don't care what anyone says, I love this place and I'm not afraid to admit it. Back in the day, I used to go here after the bars closed....fond memories of trying to focus enough to read the menu without passing out...watching people fight, hook up and barf (not in that particular order). Nowadays, I go here for lunch to get their yummy hash browns, since its nearly impossible to get them anywhere in New England. Quick two egg is my go-to meal....Over-easy eggs with ham and wonderful golden buttery greasy hash browns with wheat toast...yummy in my tummy. I also love their ham & egg melt....or as Denny's calls it, Moons Over My Hammy. ha! Service is ok, bathrooms can be gross as well as the dining room, but its ihop, whaddaya want? I still give it 4 cause I truly am a fan!

I've recently fell in love with their Big Steak Omelette! Since this place is in walking distance from work, I decides to go here and get my omelette. Experience wasn't great at all. I understand it's busy in house. But arriving after 20 minutes placing the order through the phone, and I still have to wait another 20 minutes? Not only that, but the woman who's working up front actually gave my food to another person who's picking up as well, causing me to have to wait a total of 40 minutes for an omelette?! I don't think I will ever order from this location again.

Service is really bad in this IHOP. IHOP is our go to place from almost 10 years. But this place is the worst. We party of six went to IHOP on Good Friday and we seated right a way. Server is in rush and we ordered food and requested to bring pan cakes little later. Within 5-10 minutes food delivered to our table (we ordered chicken fajita omelet). You must be thinking why this guy is bragging if the service is quick. Chicken is not cooked at all in all 5 plates. Pancakes are delivered immediately with food. We noticed some strange thing on pancake and requested waitress to change and she said oh it must be something from the pan. When we mentioned about our uncooked chicken, waitress informed this to Manager. We are hungry and everyone plate has uncooked chicken. Manager came when we almost finished our dinner and said "Oh this is how chicken is cooked. They know how to cook the chicken and this is not the first time they are cooking. You should not have eaten if it is not cooked". This is the response from a chain Manager. This is not the first time we are eating chicken fajita omelet and this is not the first time we been to IHOP. I would rather go to a fast food chain or a place where you are properly treated. I wont be returning to this place and do not recommend at all. I understand it is a 24 hour chain and its an IHOP but people expect minimum courtesy.

I loved the huge omlette and the hash brown. Pancakes were alright. We actually cook omlettes and pancakes 100% same way at home. Anyway...I wish I could tip the cook instead of the waitress. First off, we were not sitted by the hostess (old waman wearing red shirt). We stood in front of the hostess for good 2 min. We asked if we should proceed and choose our own table. No answer. We picked a table ourselves. Sat there for another 3 min. No service. Finally we were moved to a loud area with college kids by a waitress. She quickly took our order and brought our food without an error. But no smile! Quickly gave us the bill. But did she explain that you have to pay at the exit? No! We sat at the table wasting 15 min. IHOP will not see us anutime soon...they need to hire new friendly staff!!!

Had the Peaches and Cream Brioche. It was dessert for breakfast!!! It was sweet upon sweet. The syrup gave it the right amount of deliciousness. The vanilla cream drizzled on it gave a hit of extra sweetness. The warm peaches were ultra sweet (which was a bit too much sweets for me)! There were walnuts in there so nut allergies beware!!! It was very yummy.

I will give this 3 stars because the food was standard IHOP fare and the service was quite friendly. The bathroom and the floors were really dirty, which I always find disturbing in a restaurant. They also didnt deliver all of our meals or even each of our individual meals at once and we were a party of four. I would go if you really need IHOP and it's late at night, Otherwise checkout Cabots which is fairly closeby, family-owned with a great menu- one of my favorites- and open late in summer (closed on Mondays)

Been going to this place for years. Even though we live near harvard sq and there is one in the square, we preferred to drive here to eat. So frequent that the manager, and a few of the waitresses that been there a long time knows us. Love their berry berry brioche combo. Found that this place has a brioche combo and the one in harvard sq doesn't. Which is odd. Place can be packed on the weekend especially morning time. Love their fruit toppings for the pancakes. Wish they would sale the fruit toppings in the grocery stores.

I have been to many Ihops... This one was horrible.... Bad food bad service..... It was just two of us... Server did not even ask for sides which are offered with entry And she forgot sides at the end anyways... And food was bad....tilapia was very dry and salty..... Chicken felt like it was cooked 5 hours ago and heated in microwave!!! Don't go for this IHOP.... There are many better ones.

This location is an 11 out of 10. The food is what you would expect at an IHOP but the service, however, is remarkable. We have dined here many times, late at night, and WeN has always provided fantastic customer service. Paul, the manager, is focused on making the customer happy and comfortable - something very important in the restaurant industry. Well run location, will be returning soon.
