Where to start....we were there on 8/28/15, Friday. My husband and I were out for a honeymoon do-over in Boston for a couple nights. I have to say I am a picky eater and don't like a lot of things. The food that was brought to us was nothing short of AMAZING. Everything we had was so, delicious..... if you have ever been so full, but you want to continue eating, because the food is so good, then you need to eat here! We started with a couple appetizers and I have to say the portions were a perfect size for two people. The first appetizer was Caprese salad. This was great. I am glad they didn't over power it with basil, we could add it as we wanted because they provided us with one huge leaf. It was very pretty thick pieces of the tomato and the mozzarella with the balsamic glaze and another type of sauce which was also very tasty. The second appetizer was the Carciofo Euno Grilled artichoke stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto (had to check the site for exact description). I have to say I am NOT a fan of artichoke AT ALL or goat cheese or prosciutto. My husband just asked me to try it and OMG it was a totally wonderful mouth experience. All the flavors together were nothing I was expecting. It was a salty and creamy treat. There were two of these, one for each of us. I was sad when I finished mine and there were none left. I was really excited to see what was for dinner. My husband ordered the the Lobster ravioli special. This was pretty much a whole lobster AND lobster ravioli. The presentation of this was absolutely beautiful and I am not a fan of lobster but looked very nice. He loved this dish and said "OMG this is melting in my mouth it is so good". The lobster was so easy to get out of the shells he didn't need the utensils (the lobster kit that they provided). I had the chicken parm which was called Pollo ai Quattro Formaggi Chicken Parmigiano baked with tomato sauce, Fontella, Mozaarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses. This was Wonderful... there was so much cheese on it and a perfect amount of pasta and a huge piece of chicken that was cooked perfectly. It has been YEARS since I had a chicken parm this good, it was truly a pleasant and tasty experience. I was very sad, to not have been able to finish it, but the portion size was to big.... I am very excited about my left overs and hope the hotel doesn't lose them because we do not have a fridge in our room) When it came to dessert, we asked the Chef "Vin" to pick something for us. Everything else was so AMAZING and tasty we had complete faith he would send us something wonderful to try. It was like he knew us completely. When the dessert arrived it was literally ON FIRE!!!! He had prepared Creme Brulee and Tiramisu. This was so great....I don't eat Tiramisu but my husband does and he I love Creme Brulee so we each had our own perfect dessert. OHHH I almost forgot. I am not a big drinker.... I like my fruity strawberry daiquiris. However they only have beer and wine and where I don't drink either.... but it was a special dinner for my husband and me, I didn't want to be rude. I asked for something sweet. Hoping I could sip on it all the way through dinner and only leave a little in my glass. I was pleasantly surprised to say I have finally found a wine I can drink. My husband and I have looked for years and never found one and I am happy to say now he can finally buy me a bottle of wine. It was the Ca' Bianca Moscato d'Asti. I had my first ever 2 glasses of wine with dinner. It was so pleasant to drink and I didn't get a headache or anything after it was very nice. We went on a Friday night I highly recommend getting there about 5 before the crowd hits if you can and if not they do take reservations. Ours were for 6:30 but got there around 5 and they took us in without a problem at all. . This was truly a wonderful relaxing experience and we are looking forward to our next time in Boston. Especially the North End to see Chef "Vin" at Ristorante Euno.

With no direction and countless restaurant options to choose from, we sort of spun a roulette wheel and picked blindly. We are so glad our decision landed us with a seat at Restaurant Euno. Being a Friday evening, we made reservations so that we weren't the ones standing on the sidewalk waiting for a table like everyone else. We were immediately sat upon arrival and had a glass of wine within minutes. The menu is small, but good food doesn't need variety. (Make a few things great, not many things mediocre.) We ordered the Caesar salad and fish cakes to start. We were informed a minute later that the fish cakes were not available, so we just stuck with the Caesar to split. Without asking, the waiter plated the salad on two plates which was a nice touch. We decided on the chicken parmigiana and the pappardelle bolognaise, which I was informed was a house signature dish. Both came out at the perfect temperature and looked delicious. The chicken parmigiana was a gargantuan portion, but was delicious as expected. What I didn't expect was the flavors from the osso bucco bolognaise...incredible! Tender, juicy and the right amount of seasoning without being overly salty. Perfect al dente pappardelle and fresh basil to top it off. Service was beyond incredible. Everyone smiled. Staff was always in sight if something was needed or a question was to be answered. Very professional and on point. I'm sure there are several of these in the North End, but I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hidden gem.

It pains me a bit to write this but my coworker told me it must be done. Let me first say, the waiter tried to be very friendly and showered my group of 4 with free appetizers and desserts, which was very kind of him. However, the reason for this rating is the waiter cut his thumb when opening the wine bottle as I clearly saw it. No big deal, he could have just wiped it and went to the back to get a band aid. Yet he continued to pour the wine and came back with our appetizers without ever stopping the bleeding. The first dish had small blood stain on it - I didn't say anything because I didn't want to ruin everyone else's appetite. The second dish had a stain on it again (calamari) and I called him out, asking him politely "are you bleeding?" and he answers "well I was but not anymore" and I pointed to the stain and he says "that could just be the calamari sauce but ok I'll go get you a new one." After that he eventually did bandage it up, thank God. Overall the food was ok....I can see them trying, but the taste and presentation fall a bit short. Also, the waiter was very friendly throughout the night but when he gave us the check he made a comment about not adding any "20% tip." That's a good way to ensure a less than 20% tip. What should have been a busy night for them (seafood convention in town) had only 3 tables filled. I appreciated the free food but can't get the blood stain out of my mind.

After a day filled with lobster, lobster, and more lobster, I was ready for a change of pace, and with lines out the door for just about everywhere on Salem Street, Ristorante Euno provided me with that Italian refuge. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? It was the beautiful, traditional brick walls that drew me into Euno, and it was the top of the line service that kept me in my seat. Service was lightning fast, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the service and atmosphere as a whole. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? I was a bit worried about prices considering the class of service, the location, and the atmosphere at Euno, but my fears were alleviated when my hearty Pappardelle dish came in at only $21. Have a look: yelp.com/user_local_phot… That's more than fair. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Don't get me wrong, Ristorante Euno had a great menu, and I was thrilled by the appearance and presentation of my Pappardelle with Prosciutto in Parmesan sauce. The pasta? cooked to perfection and clearly recently handmade, but the sauce was over the top with regard to butter and oil. The pasta was literally swimming in it, and I ended up having to use the Prosciutto to offset the overwhelming buttery flavor. Scale back the butter and oil and this would have been a near perfect meal, but I can't quite get over the shortcoming. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Euno has the potential to be brilliant on all counts, and it's possible if not likely that I just had an off dish on an off night, but there are simply too many good Italian dishes in the area to favor Euno over the rest. No Star Granted.

Great food! Very Italian with great seafood. I had a great swordfish special with seafood risotto. Most dishes are around 20 so go ahead and treat yourself.

Went to euno last night for a spontaneous dinner with a friend and was seriously impressed. The mushroom and truffle gnocchi was hands down the best gnocchi I have tasted in the north end. The artichoke starter was fantastic, and the caprese perfectly classic. For dessert, we experienced the flaming creme brûlée, tiramisu and chocolate mousse- for not much of a chocolate dessert person, the mousse blew me away. You must try!! Over all, the service was very attentive, food exceptional, and from our lovely window table, I couldn't imagine what would have been better. Very glad to have gone out last night.

The atmosphere is fantastic! I went on a Friday night. They had a guy singing predictable stuff (Frank Sinatra, traditional Italian songs, etc.). He was very entertaining; even started interacting with the crowd on the street. The food was great. I had linguine with anchovies, capers, olives and tomatoes. I also tried my wife's bolognese, which was quite good. I really liked the fact that the menu had some interesting stuff on it, instead of just the usual dishes you could get at just about any restaurant in the North End. The only downside is the price of wine. We will definitely be back.

I think this is the best restaurant in the North End. Every time I come here the food is fantastic, the wine selection is great, and the service goes above and beyond. One night, after waiting in the cold for a table, the hostess had a free glass of champagne for all 8 members of my party as we were seated. That's the kind of treatment that keeps you coming back time and time again.

I came here with my family a couple days after Thanksgiving to enjoy something other than turkey leftovers for dinner, and I am SO glad that we chose to come to Ristorante Euno! The atmosphere and decorations were gorgeous; we sat upstairs and were treated to a wonderful view of the open kitchen, as well as the amazing vaulted brick ceilings. The service was also wonderful, our waiter was patient, knowledgeable and attentive. I also really appreciated that they had a curtain surrounding the doorway, so that as new customers walked in the icy Boston wind didn't blow through the entire restaurant. I also noticed that guests who had to wait for their tables were given glasses of champagne while they waited! Almost makes you wish you didn't have a reservation :) The food itself was also wonderful. The pasta was homemade, and the dishes we had were incredibly tasty. Between the five of us we sampled pasta, risotto, gnocchi, veal, lamb, seafood, and the caprese salad, and all of it was to die for. I particularly loved their pesto-infused olive oil, which was served decoratively with balsamic vinaigrette on many of the dishes. The wine list was extensive and the two that we tried were also quite wonderful. It is an expensive meal, but not outrageous for the North End and not disproportionate to the quality of the food. This is a great little spot, and I recommend skipping the Salem street lines and heading here!

I have lived in the NE for years and I'm actually surprised at all of the positive reviews for Ristorante Euno. Although I have been to most of the restaurants in the NE, this one is definitely at the bottom of my list. The food was decent but the experience with the waiter was enough to never make me go back. I went last night and the waiter was extremely rude and unwelcoming. We had a total table of 3, ordered two entrees and a bottle of wine, and the waiter was giving me a hard time over my order of a salad with grilled shrimp. One of the individuals at my table wanted extra clam sauce on the side and he said they could not do that. I also asked for my dressing on the side for the salad and he said they could not do that either. Many people ask me for recommendations for restaurants in the NE and after my experience last night, Euno will be at the bottom of the list.

I was walking down Salem St in the North End looking for a place to have dinner. I passed this place and looked at the menu. I recently moved here and while I have tried a few places, I had never heard of Euno. Thought we would give it a try. OMG, was I glad we dined here!!! The ambience is awesome, small place...background music included Italian opera, contemporary sounds and even some Frank Sinatra...the right volume, great cool place on a hot summer night. Not rushed, pleasant wait staff and one feels like they could be in Italy at an off-the-beaten path locale...I haven't even mentioned the cuisine yet. We started with the calamari - if you are into the heavy battered greasy variety, this isn't for you. It was a perfectly battered, more calamari than batter and a nice touch of fresh celery root on top, the meat was super tender....dee-lish. My husband had the grilled salmon - excellent...he said is was the best he's had. I had the lobster special, over the top - whole lobster with clams in a slightly spicy red sauce served over their homemade pasta. The wine list is perfect - I had the Italian white pinot and it was very nice indeed. I think this is at the top of our list for dining experiences in the North End. We WILL be returning soon!!

Great food - great service. A small cozy Italian restaurant in the middle of little Italy.

This was a really great choice after my usual go-to restaurants in the North End were too crowded. The food was really good, and the environment downstairs is very charming. The exposed brick, wine racks, and paintings really give the vibe of an old Italian house without being tacky. The service was good as well, and prices for mains are around $20-25. The wine is good too! Overall, would definitely return.

Fortunate to have stopped in and found such an amazing place. The swordfish was fantastic, as was the salmon and cannot even describe the veal parmigiana! Service was exceptional for a large group and the desserts were amazing, fresh and perfect. They were able to put us in a private room which was perfect. We were probably too casual for main room dining so it worked out great.

I had dinner at this restaurant on Valentine's night. It was a late reservation, 10pm, and the place wasn't packed but it still had that nice romantic environment that a lot of people rave about. I give it three stars for the following: We ordered a bottle of wine dated 2009, we got a 2012 bottle and told the waiter about it, he apologized and said they haven't changed the menu. That's fair and happens. However, a bottle dated 2009 is going to be priced higher than a 2012 and we were expecting a much lower bottle price when we received our check. They actually had another bottle listed on the bill that reflected the price of the 2009 bottle (which we never got) mind you this wasn't the bottle we ordered and they were blatantly overcharging. Since it was Valentines, we opted not to make a scene but to do this to us even when we had called the waiter out on it already seemed crass and out of line. The pasta was good, though a little over salted, but ok for the price. Nothing to complain about the food. The last piece that was a little weird was that even though it was a late reservation and the place wasn't necessarily packed, waiters and owners need to respect the dining experience of customers. By midnight the waiters were talking loudly and several friends of staff and owners were hanging around the back making a ton of noise. A little off-putting. In general, the place is great, ambiance, food, and service, but they can be way better! Its in the details. I note the wine problem because its not the first time a reviewer has mentioned this problem though in our case no free desserts were given. Dinners beware.

The place is cozy, and a great place for dates. The gnocchi was amazing, and the wine suggestion was great. I'd give 5 stars, except, they didn't list the prices of the items in the check. Given that the check looked a bit, errrr, heavy, I was wondering if they charged me for whole bottles. Of course, this being a date place, I didn't get a chance to ask.

A great dining experience in every way! I went with a larger group and they were able to accommodate reservations with no problem. We were sat in the basement. I had absolutely no issue with this as the area is so nicely decorated that you don't even realize you are in a basement. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive and great with making recommendations. The gnocchi was to die for. It was very rich, but delicious. I will definitely be returning to Euno!

One of the best meals I've ever had. The artichoke heart appetizer is pricey, but unlike anything I've ever seen. I had the gnocci in a cream sauce with gorgonzola, mushrooms and truffle oil, and it was easily the hit of the table! Tiramisu was delectable, and the cannoli was easily the best I've tried. Full bar, but drinks were priced high, and had the bite that often accompanies cheaper liquor. Ambiance was excellent, and the cute brick interior had me feeling like I was in Italy. Highly recommended!

God I love this place. I set up my graduation dinner here. So glad I chose this place after debating between here and restaurant fiore. Fiore was unhelpful and unwilling to allow me to a book a certain table 2.5 months in advance. Additionally, I had a friend who chose Fiore and he came out of the experience with a horror story involving a manager cursing off his mother. Anyway, some details about Euno... The servers were extremely accommodating and made some great recommendations. One of the things I love about this place is that the menu is always changing so it is hard to make a good recommendation. However, menu items worth checking out include lobster ravioli, zuppe de pesce (can be made with white or red sauce), and swordfish. I always go for the artichokes stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto. I truly believe that you cant go wrong with with any of their seafood choices. They get their fish delivered fresh daily and at times may even be out of certain items. But whatever they do have on hand, their chef works his magic and the food has never come out anything short of delicious. I recently tried their creme brulee for desert. Honestly, it was better than I have experienced at some very high rated french restaurants. They use a layer of Bacardi 151 to light it on fire right before your eyes. I would definitely get this again. I will continue to dine and recommend this place as my favorite restaurant in the north end.

This place is a true gem in the North End. Small, intimate, and just far enough off Hanover Street to avoid some of the madness. We were able to get a reservation for four on a Saturday morning for that evening. We shared the calamari to start, which had lots of flavor (the leggy pieces, yum!). For dinner we indulged in both a pasta dish and a steak. Everything was delicious! Nice wine list, too.

This was our second time at this restaurant. The greeter was less annoying this time, since we did have a reservation (vs. last time when we wanted a table in a mostly empty restaurant and were held back). We came back because the appetizers the first time were great, so we decided to have the full meal. The house salad was big, more than enough for two. The portions in general were larger than some other North End favorites, but more expensive too. And just average. Next up?

Great place to go with a group as they have larger tables downstairs. Food was ok, goat cheese stuffed artichoke were insanely good!! As others have said, the mains were a bit on the salty side. Not a bad choice, but there are better choices in the north end.

We wanted to try a different place in the North End and chose Ristorante Euno. The food was good, and we would be willing to come back. However, it was not $157 worth of good. Granted, my husband ordered one of the specials which was about $40. I told him that he should have checked the price sooner rather than with the bill....but that's only me. ;-) We've had dinner at several of the other Italian restaurants in the North End and this one had ok food (nothing to absolutely rave about) with prices that, we thought, were WAY too high.

The food here was ok, but I will never dine here again. They substituted an inferior bottle of wine for what we ordered and paid for, and lied to us about its value. The story is this: We ordered a $62 bottle of wine. Our waiter returned with a different bottle and said it was from their private stock (it was not on their menu) and they sell it for $84 but he'd give it to us for the same price as the bottle we ordered. I wasn't clear on why he was upgrading our wine but figured why not? He let us taste it before accepting it. The wine was fine. However, when I returned home that evening and still had their Yelp page open, I glanced through the reviews and saw one reviewer who wrote about a less expensive wine being substituted for what they had ordered and being charged incorrectly. It made me wonder...so I looked up wine prices online and was shocked to see that while the bottle we ordered typically sells at online retail for $25-30 (that's what I would have expected), the bottle we were served sells for $7-10! A member of our party returned to the restaurant the next day to inquire. He was told something about a different markup for that bottle and was promised a $20 credit to his card (which wasn't nearly enough, given the way in which it was switched and misrepresented). For the purposes of this review I will give them the benefit of the doubt that he received the credit, although I don't know for sure. As for the food, I had a Caesar salad which was fine, although it was a few full large pieces of lettuce...I assume for presentation purposes...but when it came to actually eating it, it would have been nice if it was cut up more. The pasta with parmesan cream sauce was all right but a bit too al dente and too salty.

I've been here twice and twice the food & service was great. Love the atmosphere, the Sinatra & Italian music playing, the exposed brick walls, the ambiance. Very romantic feel! Waiter made sure we had a lit candle at the table. The presentation of the food is pretty awesome too. :)

With 2 visits under my belt I feel I can give Euno an accurate review. My first visit was fantastic. We were seated in the more romantic downstairs and enjoyed a quiet meal. The food was delicious and the service very good. I enjoyed my pasta dish very much and my date loved her veal piccata. We started with a Caprese salad and since the tomatos were in season it was a delight. Following dinner we enjoyed tiramisu and creme brulee (one of the best tiramisu's I have ever had). And to top it off, complimentary limoncello! What a great time. The second visit was a busier Saturday night and while the food was still quite delicious (Bruschetta, tiramisu, creme brulee, wild mushroom gnocchi) but service was stiff. We were seated next to the door in the small upstairs room and the draft of every entrance and exit made it less than comfortable. Our waitess seemed new and had a hard time finding our wine and during our meal the chef made quite a ruckuss shouting at at least one employee for some time. Normally, I like kitch enxchanges and find them entertaining and fun but usually that's at a diner or a sub shop or something. I would like a different experience when dinning with a $150 check at the end. Still, food trumps all and here is some good food. If you go, I hope you have good luck with the service! Pass

The plethora of restaurants in the North End sometimes make choosing a location a daunting decision. Yay for Bloomspot/Groupon/LivingSocial/etc.! I purchased a $25 for $50 dollar discount and made plans to go and try it out with my sweetie. Much to my surprise, I was able to make a dinner reservation for two for Sat. night only 12 hours in advance! We got to the restaurant about 20 minutes early, and after dithering on whether to walk around, look for a place to have a pre-dinner drink, or to just stand outside, we just went inside and asked if we could be seated early. The hostess was very accommodating and seated us right away. When our server came, I could tell he wasn't overly thrilled that we flashed the coupon, but hey, they advertised, right? Still, I think we got on his good side when we ordered a bottled of wine, appetizers, and two entrees. We had the grilled goat cheese stuffed artichokes wrapped in prosciutto. Nothing goes wrong when wrapped in prosciutto. My only complaint would be that it was a bit salty--goat cheese is on the saltier side, and with the prosciutto, it was a little overwhelming. But! It was delicious! My bf had the fisherman's stew (zuppo di pesco i think). The red broth was savory and delicious-the variety of seafood in the dish was amazing! My boyfriend's complaint? Too much seafood! (hahaha) He never leaves anything on his plate, and he couldn't finish the dish! I always have to try a restaurant's bolognese dish. Much to my surprise, they had HAND MADE pasta (mmmmmmm) sooooo good. The sauce was delicious as well. My complaint? The texture of the beef was sometimes so finely ground, I wondered to myself whether I was eating beef or tuna! My biggest complaint was when we got our bill. I know that many places complain that coupon users tip on the final amount post-coupon, not on what the actual amount is. But we saw that they had already added 20% tip to the bill! I'm the type of person that doesn't like presumption--don't worry I'll pay! My bf is a generous tipper, and actually wanted to leave more, but since they took it upon themselves to pay themselves with what really is a gratuity, I made him put his money away! Overall, this place was good. The service was good, the food was good, the atmosphere was good. However, it isn't something to write home about. I probably will come back here again, but not until I've tried the other places in the area.

Thank you again, Euno, for making our visiting relatives feel so welcome. Our waiter, Richard, is a remarkable host, with old-world charm and a knowledge of his menu that all North End servers should emulate. The upgrades on wine and the complimentary cordials capped off another memorable Euno visit.

This is my favorite restaurant in the North End. The food is excellent as well as the service. My favorite drink is the grape martini, I get it every special occasion. It's a fun place to go with family if you're willing to drop a few dollars. It's a great North End experience.

Had dinner at Euno for the first time on Monday night (1/13/14). Décor was nice and I was excited to try a new place in the North End. I should preface that I live in the NE and have tried at least 20 of the neighborhood restaurants. Food was 'meh' in my opinion, not bad but not memorable either with the exception of my steak - and that was memorable not for a positive reason! I ordered the New Zealand sirloin at the cost of $35, asked the waiter for it to be cooked med-rare, erring on the side of rare (my exact words). The steak came out cooked medium and when I mentioned it to the waiter (who btw never asked us if the food was ok after serving it) he told me that the steak was in fact medium rare but that it was 'Tuscan style' med-rare....wth is that?? He tried to explain that because they have a 'Tuscan grill' that the meat cooks faster....why that should mean I can't have 'normal' med-rare is beyond me. I said that I was pretty sure standards had been developed for the definition of meat temperature but he said that those were not the 'Tuscan style' definitions. So in the bubble that is Euno, rare=med-rare, med-rare=medium, and so on. Might be nice if they mention this on their menu or at least advise the wait staff to inform customers! Besides being overcooked the meat was extremely tough as well. The waiter made no attempt at all to rectify the situation and acted like it was my problem because I'm just an ignorant American and not familiar with Tuscan style cooking. (while I have not been to Tuscany specifically, I have been to Italy over 10+ times and have never heard of this meat temp thing). The waiter also was dressed like a host or manager with suit & tie and the end of his tie was covered in various food particles from I guess it dipping into peoples food all night....ew! I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone! With so many other fantastic places in the North End nearby you'd be better off passing by Euno.

I think Ristorante Euno offers very good food and sophisticated dishes. Unfortunately, it lacks personality, the service is good but doesn't go beyond standard; the atmosphere is loud and contrasts a bit with the sophistication of the food as well as the price. I think the prices are right but the whole atmosphere could also be sophisticated. The wine list is average. I think overall the food is a bit too salty to my taste.

We happened upon this place during our trip to Boston over a long weekend. We had other places picked out but not having reservations many had a 2-3 hour wait. We were able by chance to get an empty table here and we very happy with it. Our server made great recommendations and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We started with the Carciofo Euno and artichoke app stuffed wtih goat cheese and prosciutto, shared a pasta for the table, I had the Bistecca Uno which was a sirloin with a deliscious crust and my husband had a special of lobster ravioli topped with half a lobster. Delicious and relaxing experience!

I agree with Brandon K's review... why all the 1 and 2 stars? I went here and had a fantastic meal. The food was great, the drinks were strong, the service fast and attentive, and the place was clean and bustling. Finding a table in the North End on a Friday Night can be tricky. Everyone descends on the neighborhood to get their pasta on. There was no wait here and the place was still packed. I just don't understand why people would wait in line for a place for 45+ minutes. Pasta is pasta people! Anyway, my mom and I enjoyed the attentive service as the waiters took our orders, got us our drinks, served us, refilled waters, and cleaned up after we were done. From first greeting until the very end we were cared for and loved it. Service is one thing but you cant have crappy food and be a good restaurant. We started with appetizers and stuffed ourselves to dessert. Here is a quick run down...Grilled artichoke wrapped with prosciutto for an appetizer is damn amazing. The artichoke was tender and the salty prosciutto was a nice addition to its tender flavors. The Penne with Pesto was a hearty portion that was generously coated with a vibrant pesto. And lastly, the creme brule comes to the table aflame! It makes for a great show and a great crunchy top!

Great service and the food was great too. The cannoli wasn't traditional ricotta, but was wonderful - cinnamon and lemon flavors were perfect with a cappucino.

I've lived in the North End for quite a few years and somehow this place has evaded me until recently. We decided to go here for "date night" on a Friday and certainly were not disappointed. Very nice ambiance, great food, and great service. Our scallops in the appetizer were cooked perfectly, the caprese was fresh and yummy, and my entree (special, seabass with risotto) was delicious. For desert we had the creme brulee and it came out on fire! Great presentation on all the food and overall a delightful evening and dinner.

I would give this place a -100 stars if I could. I have been to Euno a few times with my husband and always enjoyed the food. In fact, the food has never been a problem. The problem is I went here last night with a female friend and had a horrible time. We were enjoying our apps when the host came over and said, "The owner has requested you have dinner with him. It would be rude to say no." To my surprise, my friend (who was really buzzed and was supposed to be in the bathroom) was already sitting with him. So I went over. The owner was rude, crude and obnoxious. He obviously thought having dinner with him would be some sort of honor for us, but it wasn't. After 30 minutes of listening to this guy talk about how connected and rich he was, I called my husband to come pick us up and the owner said my husband didn't need to come. He would take us home. I don't think so, old creepy guy. While waiting for my husband outside, the owner was saying that my husband was a loser because he didn't have a high paying job. In fact he said, "I can't believe that there are actually people out there that aren't interested in making money." Then, he said my husband was taking too long and we should just go around the corner to another restaurant and have drinks with him instead. After saying no (for the hundredth time) my husband pulled around the corner and I piled my drunk friend and myself into the car. I will never go near this place again.

They changed everything about this place. It used to be an old favorite of mine, but that was when I respected them for not trying too hard to be like every other restaurant in the North End. I can't really say that's the case anymore.. Our waiter was really terrific but he spent about 10 minutes going over the menu in far too much detail. I love when a server describes a dish to you - when it's a special or the menu is cryptic. But, when what they tell you mirrors word for word what the menu in front of you says, I kinda think "what's the point?" He also spent much too much time explaining to us that the Italians eat their salad after the meal, which is why the salads appeared at the end of the menu. Some people might find this bit of trivia helpful, but I think most people know this already. Especially someone like me who married a man whose name sounds like a character straight out of the Godfather. We should have known we were in for a bit of trouble when the waiter said "We do things exactly like they do in Italy here and we take our time." Translation: 1.5 hours after we arrived, our entrees arrived. We started with a nice Anti Pasto and their delicious artichokes - so we weren't completely starving, but it was truly close to an hour between the first course and our second and final course. The food was delicious though, which is why I'm being generous with the 4-stars. I had the equivalent of a Cioppino, though it was called something different. It was heavy on the mussels & clams and light on the shrimp and scallops but it was a nice sized portion and the broth was spicy and aromatic. Others had homemade pasta ribbons, gnocci and striped bass with Risotto. Everyone raved about their meals. If you go here, just be sure to have some patience and some extra time on your hands and you'll enjoy a nice meal. Note: If you are unfortunate enough to dine with someone like me, who will give you an update every 10 minutes as to how long you've been waiting for your entrees, just give that buzz-kill more wine and tell them to shut up. They have a lovely and quite reasonably priced Sangiovese that ought to do the trick. PS - The online menu is no longer current. I'm warning you now so that you won't view it in advance and get excited about ordering the seared tuna, only to find out they no longer serve it.

One of the many things I love about this places is that is has a great vibe. It just feels good to be there, its laid back and comfortable, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Dino will make sure you're feeling good and that you're having a good time, so don't feel afraid to speak up, after all, you ARE there to have a good time. The food was amazing for us, high quality meats and cheeses for the Antipasto, perfectly cooked papparadelle with a delicate sauce. The Chicken Parmigiana (a gold standard for a good Italian place in the North End) was MASSIVE. Excellent seasoning, though it could have had more salt in the breading for my taste. For dessert we had freshly made Cannolis and amazing cappuccinos. Super service. This will become a new go-to place for me in the North End, in fact its replacing my other go-to spot on the same street.

my family dined at your restaurant on 5/21 as a graduation celebration. We had a group of 14 and sat in the downstairs area of the restaurant. The ambiance was nice and the menu looked very interesting. Unfortunately, our meal was ruined by bad service. They were very slow getting our entrees delivered to the table, and then it took about 20 minutes from the first plate delivered to the last plate. Some of our party had finished their meal before others even got their plate. Some of the entrees were cold and they delivered the wrong entree to one person and didn't discover the error until the meal was half eaten. When I complained, the waiter did not apologize or offer any compensation, he excused the poor service saying that the kitchen got overwhelmed with other orders at the same time. The final insult was that a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill - we had no opportunity to adjust the tip to match the poor level of services. Defintely a place to avoid if you have a large group!

We walked up to this restaurant on a Friday night @ 6pm, we did not have reservations but the hostess was extremely happy to sit us since there were only two other tables. We decided to order only appetizers since we did not know how the food would taste. Our server was very nice, but after greeting us we noticed his cologne was so strong it overwhelmed us, all we could smell was him all night yuck! We ordered: *Pan Seared Scallops - i1221.photobucket.com/al… / way to salty, great presentation *Carciofo Euno "Grilled Artichoke stuffed w/ goat cheese & wrapped with prosciutto" - i1221.photobucket.com/al… / dry tasting and soggy not good at all. *Caprese - i1221.photobucket.com/al… / no wow factor for me, pretty on a plate Our first dinner stop while on vacation, we were hoping for a five star experience.

Fabulous! Bostonians who have moved out of state and returned on New Years Eve. One of the best dining experiences of our lives- Dino is the greatest. Food was extraordinary, drink was delightful and experience was unforgettable. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!!

I was hesitant to eat at Euno because it was pretty much the only restaurant in the North End to accept my reservation for five people at 7pm on a Saturday night, but hey, that's my fault for waiting until two days prior to book it. I needed a reservation because waiting 16 hours for a table at Giacomo's was not an option. I will never trust my instincts again - Euno is top notch. Like a total jabroni, I showed up about 15 minutes late for our reservation, but I found the staff to be more than forgiving and eager to serve us; they even called me around 7:05 just to confirm I was still coming. I always feel the need to apologize to these North End joints because they're so pretentious it's like I'm inconveniencing them by eating there; with Euno's, it was the complete opposite. The waitstaff, atmosphere and elbow room were among the best I've seen in the North End. I couldn't help but laugh at the enormous line across the street at La Famiglia Giorgio's while we were seated immediately. The food was delicious - chicken parm was huge, filet mignon was perfectly done, and the artichoke appetizer was as good as advertised.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews here for Euno. Is it my favorite restaurant in the North End? No. Did I enjoy the food and would I come back again? Definitely! I've eaten here twice - once with my family and once with a friend. I had a great experience both times. When I ate with my family, we sat upstairs, and when I ate with my friend, we sat downstairs. It's definitely quieter and more romantic downstairs, but eating upstairs is great as well. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and I love the exposed brick and the decor. It really feels like an old Italian restaurant. The only con is the very small awkward waiting area near the door...ther'es not much space there! I found the staff to be super friendly. The food was great and no one who ate with me said otherwise. For me, the gnocchi fungi really stands out. Give Euno a chance!

We (a group of 4) arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday evening and there was only one other table occupied. We went here with a groupon, but will not return. The groupon included 4 courses, but it was not clear if we would order off the menu or were given a special menu - and it didn't seem as if the waiter knew, either, or what was available for the groupon customers. Ultimately, we discovered we wouldn't be able to order off the full menu and the choices were limited for each course (the bolognese, which everyone raves about, was not on the list). The service was marginal - the waiter affected and bizarre. Other tables filled through the evening, some with patrons using the groupon, who also appeared quite confused and dissatisfied with the options. A few highlights - the goat cheese stuffed artichoke, the gnocchi and the veal piccata. Both chicken and veal parmesan overcooked and dry, rigatoni cooked to the point of mushiness. A forgettable experience.

We had a lovely dinner here with a friend (we wanted to go to Neptune, originally, but couldn't do a 1.5 hour wait -- Euno found a table for us right away) -- two lamb shanks and a linguini with clams. The lamb shanks were nicely done, and the linguini was cooked to a perfect al dente, clams and sauce were excellent. Service was warm, honest, and attentive, and the interior is rustic and intimate. There are so many great spots in the North End -- tack this one onto the list.

Went to Euno this week with a group of 10. Restaurant did not seem that busy. The single table for 10 would have been a very tight squeeze, and I think we ended up with an extra person, so our party was split into 2 tables. The result of this was that the staff were able to take full advantage of the fact that the tables weren't communicating to sell us many bottles of wine and mineral water. The woman who made the reservation ordered (she thought) a $30-35 bottle and they brought a $58 bottle, and kept bringing them. She was never asked if opening additional bottles was okay, and she thought it was the cheaper wine anyhow. The mineral water they just started serving us was $18 a bottle, which is absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion. Service was 'relaxed', which was fine, until our two tables ended up totally out of synch. Our table ordered an extra course, and it added over an hour to the entire meal (apparently the veal chop takes an insanely long time to prepare). Our friends just sat there and waited, while the staff apparently misplace their leftovers. The food wasn't anything to write home about. The antipasti was pretty good, and the pasta course was pretty good, but my chicken entree was tough and the risotto that accompanied it was flavorless. But mostly I'm upset that it seems that they were deliberately trying to take advantage of our large group status to get us to spend more, and I hate that. This place might be okay for a couple or small party, but don't go there with a group. Wish I had my $130 back.

I took my girlfriend (a vegetarian) to Euno two weeks ago (a Friday), and we were both very pleased with the experience. We had an 8 PM reservation and arrived a few minutes early. They were happy to seat us, and gave us a great table away from the door (it was cold and windy that night). She started with the euno salad, which she loved. She normally orders with dressing on the side, which she neglected to do. Much to her delight the salad came perfectly dressed for her liking so it was a non issue. I had the a sweet sausage/fried polenta cake appetizer (it was a special that night) - holy hell was it amazing. A little truffle oil and melted mozzarella. It was incredible and they should add it to the menu. For entrees, my girlfriend had a pasta dish with sauteed eggplant. I forget the name of it, but she loved it. I had the veal milanese which was perfectly cooked. I'm normally hesitant to order veal, as usually you get 'veal' - aka tough and chewy crap. This dish was the real deal, and there was a ton of it there. In the 10+ years I've lived in Boston I haven't had a veal dish that was this good. Highly recommended. My only complaint was that the restaurant was a little informal for the prices they charged. We were dressed nicely, but some other patrons came in yard work worthy clothes. No big deal, as the food and service were great - it just was a bit of a disconnect for me. That said, I will definitely go back here and am recommending it to everyone I know.

I went here last Friday night with a friend. We had a great time. Being in the North End you expect it to have great food, but ok to bad service. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was awesome. I've never had better service in the North End. The service was actually some of the best service I've had anywhere. We ordered sea bass and the gnocchi, both were to die for. I will be telling all my friends to go here.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here with our family. We were literally treated like royalty for the whole night ( which ended up being about 3 hrs from appetizer to dessert ). The wait staff was EXTREMELY attentive. I was very happy with my sea bass and wild mushroom risotto. Awesome! We had a magical evening and I even think we experienced a little seperation anxiety when we left. Can't wait to visit again!

Disclaimer: my review is based on valentines day night (very busy and fixed menu) Not starting off on the right foot: we made our reservations well ahead of time (over a month in advance) and one week before they called and said the person we spoke to gave us the wrong time...whatever that means. After we convinced them they had to honor our reservation (they said they were booked), they moved our reservation an hour later. When we arrived, we tried to find someone to take our name but they directed us to stand outside (with the 10 other couples out there). Minus 1 point for no waiting area. We discovered that everyone else also had the same time for a reservation. Gee, they didn't think to stagger the times?! We waited for 30 minutes and no one had moved. Eventually they came out and said they had a table for 4 and would anyone be interested. Really?! That's sad. We finally sat and were handed our menus...fixed menus. Unfortunately when we made our reservations they failed to mention this fact. We purposely picked a place without one because we wanted to save some dough. Regardless, we decided to stay because our waiter was nice and seemed frazzled. (We did however see several people leave when they were sat and introduced to the fixed menu...apparently they didn't tell anyone). Food was, as someone else said, leaving something to be desired. The antipaste was ok. The 2nd course of pasta tasted like i made it out of a box at home. The tomato sauce tasted like paste! 3rd course (option of pork, fish or steak) was ok. I had the fish (since i don't eat most meat) and despite the bones it was pretty good. My boyfriend had the steak and loved it. Dessert was decent too (canoli's with ice cream). Our waiter was great...very friendly, timely and energetic. The restaurant is tiny and the kitchen was very loud. I'd go back again to try the regular menu since there are some decent reviews on here. Major Con: the dinner ended up being about $300...precisely why i didn't want the fixed menu!

This is my first review on yelp but I had to come on and compliment Euno after a dinner I enjoyed a while back. The dinner was fantastic! I enjoyed the Salmon and my boyfriend had the puttanesca which he couldn't stop talking about. The service was wonderful. I highly reccomend.

I really don't comprehend where all of these 1 and 2 stars are coming from. I have come to this restaurant for the past 8 years and love it now just as I did back then. The waiters are always polite and very attentive. The food is wonderful as always, and the atmosphere I think is just A+.

We went to Euno as a group of 4. We sat down at a nice table and had great service. The food was excellent. I would definitely go here again on future visits to Boston. We all ordered something different and everyone was very pleased. If you can, sit downstairs, it's really nice and cozy down there!

The service at Euno leaves something to be desired, and the food is average. I did like the rotini with fresh tomato sauce, but found it odd that they would plop a dollop of goat cheese (that tasted like the tubed kind you'd find in your regular grocery store's cheese case) in the middle of the plate. Why no ricotta? The fresh basil atop the dish was a nice touch, though. The antipasto wasn't extraordinary, although good. The wine list is nothing to write home about. Big-time mark ups. But the big problem we had at this restaurant was the service. As we prepared to leave, we had to ask several times for my leftover filet mignon. When I finally saw it sitting on the counter upstairs wrapped in tinfoil, waiting for the amateur waiter to remember to give it to me, I said forget it. Not to be outdone, it took forever for this other guy to find our two black jackets. Why they don't have a ticket system for coat checks is beyond me. We were losing patience as he kept coming up the stairs with other people's jackets, thinking they were ours. So we finally went downstairs to try to help him find our coats so he wouldn't have to keep going up and down the stairs. We were horrified to see all of the customers' coats -- all black -- laying on the floor. It was outrageous. This is supposed to be a classy, North End establishment? Forget it.

This is your typical overpriced tourist-y spot in the North End.. To start - the wine list - there were only three wines by the glass, starting at $9 (for a Chianti). Only one beer - Moretti ($6). No liquor. The food was mediocre and high-priced as well. Watch out for the specials - one came back at $45 for veal. That's right, $45. The service was a little on the creepy side. The waiter was pushy with our orders, essentially wouldn't allow a friend to order an appetizer as an entree, and he just left me with a bad feeling overall of Euno. Find another spot for Italian in the North End.....

I kinda dig you, Euno. Compact space, as the norm in the NE. Went with roomates and were seated (with a reservation) about 5 minutes after we arrived downstairs in the wine grotto. Pretty nice, perfect for a date. Started off with a special bellini (sorry, forget what was in it) and while it was delicious, would have been better paired some eggs and granola at brunch. We had two apps, the calamari and caprese. Caprese was good, came with cherry tomatoes though. I prefer slices of a nice fat, fresh tomato instead of those things. Buff mozz melted in my mouth. Calamari was good- very lightly breaded and fried. Half was also raw and came with toppings that reminded me of pasta salad seasoning. I don't say that as a bad thing, it was really good. First time for raw squid went pretty well. I had the veal osso bucco- very tender, flavorful chianti demi glaze and loved the risotto it came over. Try the bone marrow inside you will not regret it. Roomie1 had the sea bass, and since she loves fish, she liked it very much. Tried the pesto pasta Roomie 2 got which wasn't bad but not the best I've had. The riesling on the wine list was very, very nice (not influenced by my love for riseling at all :) ) End of the meal one of the owners came around greeting us and bought us a round of Frangelico. Thank you sir! Didn't blow my mind but it was pretty good and we had a nice time.

What a romantic and delightful restaurant where the service is good and the food is outstanding. We went on Sunday night with the Pats playing and were the only people in the restaurant. This does not speak to how good the place is because it is so good that I had expected it to be crowded. The meal started with Dino coming over to chat with us and tell us the specials and then delivering fresh bread and a basil olive oil to dip. YUM. Next we ordered the famous artichokes stuffed with goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto. These are something to write home about. I LOVE artichokes and they were delish and a new way to eat them. We got pasta with tomato sauce and a ton of fresh basil and garlic. It was outstanding--perfect really. Alongside this we shared the osso bucco. They're famous for this dish and hot damn, it fell right off the bone. LOVED it. The risotto tasted almost like mac and cheese. When they gave us the check, they also delivered some lemoncello creame. It was literally and figuratively very sweet. Can't wait to go back again. I'll have to save up or wait for another bloomspot deal because it's truly fine dining, but well worth every penny and calorie. Still my favorite place to eat in the north end.

I live in in NY. I make it a point to never eat at the same place twice when i travel. This past weekend i went out to eat in boston. Rarely do I even remember the name of the places I eat. Let me just say, Euno etched its name deep in my memory through amazing service, accommodations and terrific food. We had a group of us. Appetizers were recommended to us. I have to talk about the calamari, which is one of those dishes you never seem to mind when it is mediocre until you get a portion that is done right. Euno did it right. The breading was light and airy and the meat was firm but not rubbery. We actually ordered another plate when the two didn't make it back around for those wanting seconds. Everyone at the table ordered different entrees. My wife ordered papaerdelle ragu. The sause was thick, not runny, so you know it was reduced down and simmered for a long while. Not to mention, full of herbal flavor. I had the sea bass. Thick cut of fish, pan seared buttery, crispy skin outside, but light tender and moist on the inside. My risotto was creamy and rich perfect to compliment the delicate fish. One of my friends had the gnocchi fungi. Home made little pillows of potato pasta. The sause was amazing. Rich and creamy but not too salty. Perfectly balanced. At the finish of the meal we had a spread of desserts. Rum fired creme brulee, tarrimassu and a delicious espresso ice cream with dark chocolate chunks inside all made a lasting impression on our final course. Inventive cocktails, wine, savory food, a welcoming atmosphere and being treated as if you are in your own home, all made for an amazing experience and one I will not soon for get. When i come back to Boston, i may break my own rule and go again for another round at Euno.

No question about it. Euno is a spectacular spot. Goat cheese stuffed artichokes wrapped in prosciutto are a must. All entrees have been Damn solid in our experience. Good wine list. Seems to draw fewer tourists than other North End spots.

Market forces and Darwinism dictate that there can't be an awful restaurant in the North End for very long, right? After a dismaying survey of packed houses and hindsight realization that the North End can be chilly sans reservation, our group settled on Euno. Euno sat us right away which could have been read as a sign of weakness, but we were pleasantly surprised by the meal. We started with wine, antipasto and bruschetta, all very nice. I ordered a special lobster ravioli that must have contained crack rock - it was that good. With my ravioli as bargaining chip, I was able to sample some other dishes at the table including a tasty but unremarkable veal parmigiana, and gnocchi putanesca. The food was good, but nothing was truly memorable save for the Lobster Ravioli. If best laid plans fall through, try Euno.

I always say that I want to try new restaurants in the North End, and then end up going back to my old faithful: Euno. I was introduced to it years ago by friends that own a condo upstairs, and I haven't had dinner anywhere else in the North End since. Girls' Night? Date Night? Out of town visitors? Go to Euno! It's a cozy place with great food, great service, and lovely decor. The last time I went was because a friend of mine said "last time I was in the North End, we found this little hole in the wall place that was so cute and had the best food! All I remember was that they had a bright blue wall" and I knew straight away she was talking about Euno. It might be one of the best kept secrets in the North End. And it really is a hole in the wall - keep your eyes open or you'll walk right by it's subtle signage and entrance. This is one of the only restaurants that I frequent and manage to eat something different every time I'm there, and I've never had a meal I was unhappy with. The wait staff is always friendly and efficient. The desserts are delicious, and you won't for a second regret doing dessert there instead of going to Mike's or Modern.

what a horrible experience. the food is fine-- average for the north end, but DO NOT GO HERE IN A GROUP! The maitre d' is rather pompous and shady, and will try to trick you into overspending for their mediocre food. Total scam.

My concierge recommended Euno as a great place to get Italian food in the North End of Boston. Food was delicious! I had the linguini fini pomodoro, and it was amazing! Great wine selection, and excellent creme brulee. It shows up on fire, and is just perfect!!! The wait staff was very attentive and made great recommendations.

I went here last week and it was wonderful. We had a special chef's tasting menu with a wine pairing and we were treated like rock stars. Every course was great, including a eggplant pasta dish that was out of this world! The puttanesca (sp) was wonderful, the calamari was flavorful and our veal was tender. The desserts weren't as great as the pasta but they had a nice bread pudding. There was a group downstairs having a meal and they all seemed happy and I noticed they had pretty good service. The place is small but very good for a date or special event.

From being greeted upon walking in the door, to our service and thanked upon leaving, it was a great experience. The portions were very generous and the waitstaff had the quality of being there when you needed them, always making sure your glass was full and in no way being obtrusive. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I would go there again in a heartbeat, and as an unexpected surprise, a violonist came around in the dining room to entertain us. I loved that it didn't have the flavor of 'this is the place you should visit in the North End if you are a tourist to have the experience.'

This resturant is great! I come here every year for my birthday and they always let me get the AMAZING chicken marsala even though its not on the menu. The service was almost too fast and the food is the best I have ever had!! I cannot say enough good things about this resturant, all the waiters are attentive and extremely friendly. I have been coming here for 3 years and it is still as special as the first time. Anyone looking for an authentic, italian meal, COME HERE!

WORST. RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE. EVER. We arrived for dinner and were seated by the hostess. Ten minutes later, the Manager Peter asked us to LEAVE to accommodate a larger group of thirteen. He was unapologetic and even reprimanded us -- telling us, "Next time, make a reservation." Minutes later, he chased us down on the street to ask who seated us so he could reprimand his staff. What else can I say? This man deserves to stay in business like someone hawking used gum.

This was my 2nd time in the North End, which is weird since I had at one point lived in the Boston area for a number of years. Things that I noticed: - A lot of people like their Italian on Saturdays apparently (crowded) - Those same people are quite loud (Red Sox fans?) Now couple this with a smaller sized restaurant and suddenly the adjectives "cozy" becomes "tight." I think it was this raucous aura combined with inconsistent service that dampened my dining experience. The calamari was good, and the black truffle risotto was also noteworthy, but the waiter was not attentive at the right times and snotty when he was. Food good, atmosphere not so much good. I'm guessing it's probably better to come here on a weekday.

Fantastic - great experience from the moment we walked in and were greeted by Michael and our waiter (Vino or Gino or Dino...sorry might have been the 2nd bottle of wine...)...but he was awesome as was our delicious dinner and just an overall great experience. The ambiance is spot on I feel as is the menu. Highly recommend. We will be back soon!

I've eatten at Euno thrice times; it's been great, it's been OK, and it's been very bad. Ironically, (or not) it was with the exact same waiter each time... On average I'd say the service was pretty decent. The first time, it was spectacular, but it was a tuesday night and the place was dead. The next time was a busy Saturday night, and the only reason we were back was because we couldnt' get in anywhere else. Not because the first experience was bad, but just becasue there are too many alternatives in the North End to stick with the same place! The food here is flavorful and in good portions, but isn't really all that different than countless other North End restaurants. I mean all the standards, marsala, parm, piccata- the standards. It's good, it's just not anything you can't get next door. The dining room is "cute" and I say that in a manly way- exposed faux brick, lighting is soft (maybe a little dark for a reason?), a little worn- not all that different than many other North End spots. So why Chase no likey? What warrants the 2 star rating??? Oh, I dont' know- HOW ABOUT THE WORM THING IN MY Cacciatore!!! Yeah. Nuff-Ced.

Fantastic atmosphere and really good food. With so many Italian options in the area, rarely do I go to the same place more than once or twice, but I really love Euno. It gives me that warm fuzzy comfort feeling.

I live in the North End and have made a point of trying all the restaurants the neighborhood has to offer. After dining at Euno, I think I am going to have to change my policy. I got the Osso Bucco Bolognese was perhaps the best pasta I have ever had not to mention a truly unique dish. The meat is tender and the flavore is intense. I wish I could have had a second portion. Speaking of portions they were decent size but you won't need a doggy bag. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very quaint. I will certainly be going back in the very near future.

My favorite restaurant in Boston. The food is amazing, great wine selection, and the staff will treat you like royalty. The veal is just about the most tender cut I've ever had. Great date place!

I have been to Euno twice and both times it's been fantastic. The service has been friendly and attentive, and the food has been terrific. I've gotten the carciofo Euno (stuffed/wrapped artichoke done in a very attractive way) and the caprese apps (the caprese wasn't the best I've had, I have to say. The way they serve it, wherein you sort of assemble it yourself, was a little inconvenient compared to the standard presentation in which everything is sliced and layered, but this is not a big deal). The pasta I've had twice now is the gnocchi funghi, which has been consistently excellent. I really recommend it. I've been here on a quiet week night when the place was nearly empty as well as on a Saturday night when it was nearly full. Both times the service has been fine, but judging by some of the other reviews it may make a big difference if you make a reservation.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING WAS SENT TO THE MANAGEMENT, THEY DID NOT RESPOND! Tuesday evening [8/25/2009], myself and my date had dinner at your establishment. The selection of Euno was not based not on prior experience, the recommendation of friends who had already dined there, but solely on reviews he found online. Let me add that he was trying to impress me. Needless to say, we were both disappointed. Why you might ask?: 1. While we appreciate your efforts at authenticity, please work with your staff on pronunciation. If you can't perfect or even provide a reasonable semblance, it's comes across as a cheap imitation. If the food is great, it will speak for itself. 2. We were helped by two servers which is overkill. Understandably, this is not NYC and a 5-Star restaurant, although it always helps to have goals. 3. When asked by the first server, how my meal was I responded, "the fish was less than fresh" to which I got a blank stare... When asked in follow-up by another server -- your maître'd perhaps -- how my meal was, I responded that I had told the servers, that "the fish was less than fresh" to which I got another blank stare. Seems like we are perfecting a technique here! Needless to say, that after sampling the fish, the rest went untouched - that would have been a clue! 4. For dessert we opted to have the crème brulee. It came to table already on fire and the server was not comfortable with the flame; I asked that he put it out, because I was getting blackened as opposed to just glazing the sugar and he blew on it - spittle and all. Need I say more? So, he paid the bill, we departed and stopped at another restaurant for dessert and cappuccino and to them I offer my heartfelt thanks for saving the evening! Would you come back?!

We had dinner here a few nights ago and it was simply amazing. Every course was exceptional. From the calamari to the bruschetta, each appetizer was delicious. Richard made us his famous frozen grape ice wine martinis. Richard was so kind and hospitable. Great service. We all loved our meals. I had the gnocchi with mushrooms and goat cheese - definitely the best I have ever had. If you are looking for a lovely hidden gem in the north end that has great food, service, drinks, music and a personal/hospitable atomosphere, you cannot go wrong with euno!

Did I go to Euno on a picturesque, temperate night when the crowds would be happy and the company would be laid-back? No. I went in a record-setting heat wave, in the middle of the feast of St. Anthony. Sleep-deprived and with a grody head cold. Did I mention that it was the first time I met my boyfriend's parents? Or an additional ten members of his family? Mmm, yeah. Now that I've set the scene, I can get on to the restaurant. It's tucked into the North End, and has the exposed-brick, cozy interior that many places in the area do. Our waitress was fine, but not memorable. The food was so-so. The bread was very tough/dry, which was a minus....but the prices weren't sky-high, which was a plus. The calamari was bad (tough, rubbery), but the artichoke hearts app was decent. I ordered the gnocchi, and they were okay too. I've had better, but they were still decent. The fact that the AC was not on almost killed me. Not kidding. All in all, it's not a place I'd go back to, but it's not a place I actively avoid. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you go, I won't judge you. Stars; 2.5 (rounded up to 3).

Not impressed. My husband and I went here last week with a restaurant.com coupon and when we tried to give it to the waiter at the beginning of the meal - he responded by saying that "everyone here is treated equally, despite us having this coupon".. the way and tone he said it was very awkward... I think the treatment we should receive should go without being said... interesting. I did not find the decor to be inviting - I found the strange cut outs in the brick wall to be odd. I love brink interior, but it just looked like they were trying too hard. The whole dining experience was a bit put off by our awkward host/waiter who was the only waiter for the entire upstairs room. There were quite a few tables in there for a Thursday evening in winter, so I thought, well the food must be great. Not one app caught my eye so we decided to pass. For dinner I got the chicken parm. It was a large serving but was a bit dry and the bread crumbs were really over powering to the chicken and sauce. The sauce had a bit of a bite to it and I did not care for it. For pasta I got 6 Ziti. Ok, I know that the chicken should be the larger portion, but 6!!! They did not even taste homemade... stingy much? I held out that desert would be better, wrong. We shared the pistachio gelato - instead of pistachio whole nuts, they were ground up, which left the gelato with a gritty texture - not my cup of tea. It also tasted it a bit freezer burnt, like no one had ordered it in awhile. When I saw we were charged $9 for subpar gelato I was insulted and decided that we would not be dining or referring others to check this place out. Resturant.com this is the first time you have led me astray :(

I would rate this establishment with a negative 3 stars if possible. What is expected from a restaurant:( NORTH END LOCATION) service quality food quality organization( work flow) ambiance The only one I cannot rate is the food as I sat with my Boyfriend ( yes we had a reservation) for 45 minutes and did not even receive bread or wine. We were told 4 times that our orders would be taken. Where as a party of five standing at a small service bar ( no reservations) were being doted on ( wine bread etc..) by the same waiter who could not take our order. My polite /shy boyfriend ( and adorable if you are reading this) said we should wait as we had tickets for theater in an hr and felt we could not get served in time elsewhere. I said lets go and we did. I am sure from other reviews that the food is decent - but the management is lousy and it is not romantic - the cellar is a cellar and it does not exude warmth in anyway. I guess I was fooled by the Zagats review - I will go on word of mouth for the No. End in future. N.B. went to touristy lower priced Assagio told them our time constraint and had the same dishes we would have ordered in 15 minutes for at least 10 $'s cheaper - decent food at Assagio BUT EUNO stole our romantic date!!!!

Went here one night last minute walking outside on Salem street and the door guy kind of convinced us to come in and eat. It is a tiny little place. Not busy, 3 other tables, took forever to get a glass of water even. Very pricey. Food was whatever, not that great, not that bad. Slow service. My boyfriend and I ordered the creme brulee for dessert, when we got it, it was cold and watery and disgusting! it was the worst creme brulee i've ever had in my entire life.

I am giving this restaurant a poor review due to the rude, rushed treatment my friend and I received on Saturday night. I made a reservation for 7:00pm through Open Table. We were seated right away; however, treatment went downhill from there. I thought it might have been just me feeling rushed with plates being cleared rather quickly before we had made much of a decision as to whether we still wanted what was on them, etc. But, no- it wasn't just me. We were asked about dessert and coffee before we were even finished with dinner and wine. We said that we would probably want a couple coffees. The coffees were brought in 2 minutes, with the check. I decided to finish my wine before I started on my coffee. I was 2 sips into my $3.50 6 oz.coffee when the waiter came over and said, "Um, so, we really need your table..." We were literally KICKED OUT of the restaurant. I was mortified. I don't care what the rationale was behind this (poor planning, people waiting, etc.), I find this treatment inexcusable. We will NOT be returning.

When I went, there was a wailing baby, dropped dishes, a broken chair and barely any lighting - made for an interesting dining experience. The food was good, but not memorable. Considering the number of other great eateries in the North End (Antico Forno, Giacomo's, Pomodoro, Mamma Maria, etc), I say venture elsewhere.

Came a couple more times after my initial great experience and it appears the restaurants been under new ownership for awhile. The recipe for the signature appetizer changed and really isnt that great. This place has become another average experience in the North End.

I had dinner at Euno on May 28th and loved it. I usually go to Giaccomo's, but the line was over 20 people long so we wandered about until we found a place with charm... that didn't have a gigantic wait. We were immediated seated at a center table-- a little squashed between two other tables. After about 10 minutes a better table opened up and we were offered the better seats which we gratefully accepted. I had the Frutti di Mare (pasta with seafood in a red sauce), my bf had the seafood risotto. Bread with a dipping plate of olive oil, pepper and parmesean were offered right away. My pasta was fresh, well cooked and packed with flavor. I don't do dairy, so I didn't try the risotto, but my picky bf said it was great. I used to live in Italy and he is from the Adriatic region so we know good cucina italiana when we taste it. The restaurant is charming, with a vaulted brick ceiling, low lighting, and a large open window in the front of the restaurant. The tables are a little rickety (sp?!). The service was subtle but effecient. In the end I was very happy to stumble upon this quiet little gem!

It's been quite some time since I've felt the indignity of being stung at a restaurant. Of course, as is the case with most stings, it was absolutely our fault. It's obvious that when one enters a wonderful looking place with warm atmosphere and very friendly staff one should not relax and trust that you will be treated fairly. While participating in a conference of non-profit organizations meeting here in Boston, a group of us went out to relax and have a good time. We followed the many wonderful recommendations of the host at Euno. He recommend an assortment of meats and fish dishes that we could all share. It sounded like a good approach. We had done the same family-stye dining in Chinatown the night before and had dinner for 7 for under $100. This time around, when the bill came, we quickly realized that it does not pay to blindly trust that you will be dealt with in a fair way. This meal wound up costing more than $135 per person, despite only having two bottles of wine and a modest amount of food for 9 people. In other word, a complete sham. Not worth taking the chance of getting stung.

Both the food and service at Euno were terrific. The wait staff takes care to explain various items on the menu to you, including any recent changes to the menu. The wine list is extensive and includes a number of good bottles that are within the range of "reasonable" -- like under $35 -- in addition to good quality wines by the glass. I second other commentators on saying that the basement wine cellar tables are particularly worth requesting. It is large enough down there for a party, and intimate enough for a nice date. However, the decor upstairs is equally intimate. We loved the brick arcs in the ceiling and had a nice table-for-two by the wall. UPDATE: We ate here again in 2012 and had terrific food, but a less positive experience with the staff. They were rushing around and didn't listen to what we wanted. As a result, they poured us the wrong wine and also left some things off of our main course dishes.

Muah! Perfecto! Every time I dine at Ristorante Euno I leave extrremely happy. Like all North End restaurants, Euno is on the smaller side, but because of its location on not-so-busy Salem Street the wait is not super long for a weekend night. The upstairs dining room is cozy with an open view of the kitchen. The downstairs runs double duty as the wine cellar - definitely the more romantic of the two dining rooms. Euno's waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are attentive without being pushy as well. As a side note, Euno prides itself on recreating an authentic Italian meal which translates into a lengthy dining experience. This is great for those who wish to enjoy the evening with good conversation and good wine, but if you're looking to chew and screw you best get yourself somewhere else. The chicken parm is the best my fiance has ever had, and he has had his share of chicken parm. Euno definitely takes reservations for larger parties, even on the weekend and holidays. I'm not sure about smaller parties though.

This is a nice, small little north end place with a cozy atmosphere. I had the black truffle risotto which was very good, and my hot date had the bolognese which he said was eh, so so. Downstairs is a pretty good spot for a date with the dim lighting and fireplace and everything. Our server was super friendly. It didn't change my life, but I would go back.

Yes it is the best. I was just surprised how quiet it was given the fact that it's one of the best Italian bistros in the North End. Two other colleagues joined me. Started out with the Fish Cakes as an appetizer. I had the Gnocchi di Fungi which was excellent. My one colleague had the Osso Bucco which he said was fantastic. My other colleague had the Linquine with Clam Sauce. Topped off with some red wine and sparkling water. I will be back again.

The North End provides "Endless" Italian restaurant options. But typically finding a table at one of the more popular places is not the easiest of tasks. But the universe and all the stars were perfectly aligned and we scored a 7:30 reservation at Euno. From the very start, me and four of my work mates were treated to exceptional service and mouth watering Italian cuisine. The setting is casual, yet I can see coming here for an intimate dinner. The wine list is loaded with plenty of excellent bottles and even several tasty options at lower price points. The desserts are not to be missed, so be sure to save a little room. The tiramisu is spot on perfect! In the spirit of the St Patrick's Holiday, wishing you lots of luck and finding a seat at this gem of a restaurant.

I LOVED it. The atmosphere is intimate, and the food is excellent. So is the wine selection! Both by the glass and by bottle- quality listings from Italy and the west coast. I had the pappardelle pasta with creamy Parmesan sauce and a kind of ham (I forget) on top and it was unreal. I loved it! But the appetizer was probably my favorite part- lightly sautéed spinach with roasted garlic, cannelloni beans, and more of that amazing ham on top and sage oil on the side. I will attempt it at home but we'll see if I can pull it off with the same finesse:).

I used Open Table on Wednesday and was able to get a reservation for 12 for Saturday. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The only negative was that we were seated in the downstairs and our table was extremely close to the bathroom.

I came in last week with my family. They gave us a great seat near the window. I wasn't sure what to order because all of the yelp photos looked so good. Our waiter, his name was Mustapha, suggested the goat cheese artichokes and they were so good! They were like nothing you've ever had. Our entrees were exceptional too. I had two different pastas and they put them on the same plate. Everything was really good and Mustapha was such a gentleman. Definitely worth the wait!

While the swordfish was delicious the risotto was more like cooked rice with a sauce. It lacked the traditional creaminess. However the ambience of the cellar is outstanding!!! So eating down there made up for some of the lackluster food.

We came here for my birthday and I was honestly disappointed. I am not a huge seafood fan and all of the specials were seafood and some of the items on the menu online were not available. Our appetizer was delicious, the artichoke stuffed with goat cheese but my pasta was kind of bland. Honestly the reason for the low review was the service. We got there and we were offered either a table in the basement or by the front door. It was chilly but we took the table by the front door. However another couple walked in and got a better table. Finally our waiter ignored us almost the whole meal. We had to ask about the specials after hearing the table next to us offered them. After our meal was served we never heard back until we were done eating. We probably would have gotten dessert but it would have taken forever.

First, the appetizers: Calamari: nicely battered. The meat was tender (a sign of high quality) and matched well with the marinara sauce. Prosciutto-wrapped Artichoke stuffed with goat cheese: goat cheese stuffed with artichoke? Really? It was awesome. If you love goat cheese like I do, get this appetizer. Add the taste of the cooked prosciutto to this combo, and it's a major winner for an appetizer. Mussels cooked in a broth with tomatoes: this wasn't on the menu, but we told the server that we were in the mood for a mussels appetizer. He gladly told us that they could make us one (awesome service). The mussels were larger than what I usually have and tasted fantastic, with a sweet side to the natural flavor of the mussels. Now, the entrees: Veal Porterhouse with Asparagus and pan fried Potatoes on the side: The Veal Porterhouse was served standing vertical, immediately impressing me with the presentation. The mouth watering meat was exactly that, mouth watering, with its tenderness putting joy into my teeth. I enjoyed every bite. Flavor was perfect. The potatoes were crispy on one side of each piece, complementing the veal. White Fish with Risotto: I only had a taste, since this was my wife's dish. The fish was tender and buttery. It was either butter or olive oil. Either way, they cooked it the right way. I will get this entree the next time I eat here. Service was excellent all the way through. Enough said. This restaurant is an excellent place to eat a nice elegant dinner.

My family and I ate at Euno for a graduation dinner. It was our first time here and we were warmly welcomed. The food was great across the board. We tried a couple of the apps and I was able to sample a little of everyone's meal (rigatoni w/eggplant, veal piccata, veal quattro formaggio, and linguine pomodoro), as well as dessert. The quattro formaggio was more like veal parmesan, but was still good. The portions are pretty large and the food is delish. What really struck me about this place is how friendly the staff is. We were treated like famiglia! They have 2 rooms- upstairs and the wine cellar space downstairs. Unlike most restaurants in the North End, this is a good place for large groups.

Another great restaurant in the North End! We entertained a client here a week ago and had a great meal. The restaurant is really quaint and small like many of the other North End restaurants. Our server was very attentive and made the evening a success. The food was delicious too. We shared the caprese salad and I had the fish special for my meal...it was so tasty! We also shared the creme brulee and the chocolate mousse cake...the chocolate mousse cake stole the show - it was incredible!

Came here with my parents before they departed back to California. Let me tell you, my parents are great cooks and they were amazed at this place. FOOD: 5.5 stars. The flavors were outstanding on all three dishes that we had. Absolutely amazing. They truly bring out the flavors from their ingredients. If you want to impress a foody, bring them here. SERVICE: 5 stars. You are greeted at the door by the manager who opens it for you, which was nice. Then on top of that, the waiters and waitresses treat you as if you are the only one in the restaurant. Incredibly kind and will do anything to make your experience memorable. PRICE: The price per plate are between $20-$35. But you get plenty of food and they are not shy to put a ton of seafood into the pasta. Overall, great experience and I will be returning.

If only there were negative ratings on Yelp... Let me start by saying the food was actually pretty good. Great flavor, fresh and amazing olive oil. That being said - it doesn't make up for the terrible service we received last weekend. We had a 6pm reservation for 3 people on a Saturday night. I called about 15 minutes before 6, realizing we were going to be slightly late, and let the host know. He huffed over the phone and said, "ok, well we can't hold your table - we're really busy tonight - get here as soon as you can". OK - red flag...Through the meal - empty tables remained and we watched as the host turned away customers - what gives? One of my friends arrived slightly after 6 and was able to check our party in. She sat down and was not offered a menu or water, instead the host said to her "where are they? and when are they coming?". Rude. When our waiter came over he tried to up-sell us on all this lobster on the menu and gave us some song and dance about how good the lobster is from Maine, or whatever. When we declined but said we wanted to put in an appetizer, he said that he wasn't going to do that until we had our full order ready... um, what? When I ordered my entree, which was with a cream sauce, I asked for a side of red sauce since sometimes the cream sauces can be too heavy and I like to temper it with the red. He tried to talk me out of it saying, "you know it comes with a cream sauce on it?" Yes, yes I know... thanks for the judgement, though! THEN - and this is the kicker - we selected a bottle of Murphy Goode Pinot Noir that was $43 on the menu. The waiter tried another song and dance about a "secret" bottle of "lovely" Mark West Pinot (MARK WEST?!) and how it was only a few dollars more but he would sell it to us at the $43 price. We said no. Later on, I looked up the prices of the two wines - now, I know there is a markup - but the Murphy sells for $11 and the Mark West? $7.97. Really, Euno? Seems like we aren't the first people who have received this wine bait and switch routine here...Also, he never came back to pour more wine - just left it on the table. Great service, buddy. Half way through our meal we asked for more bread and the waiter raised his eyebrows and said, "suuuuuure", real condescending like. He brought us bread but no sauce with it. Whatever. Overall, a real bad experience and we felt un-welcomed. Overpriced and totally not worth it - the chef is good - he should find a new place to work!!! We will never be back. As a professional in the service industry, I was shocked at how pretentious this off-Hanover hole acted and how they treated their customers like they were annoying thorns in their feet.

I go there every week for only one thing. which is their calamari. The best calamari in Boston. I have tried calamari all over the world, but i gotta say, this is one of the best. Other food, not a big fan honestly specially considering the price. I like their usual daily special. I do think they are over priced considering the food quality they have. Two of their server and chef is extremely nice and always remember us and brings us things we like. But there is one server who thinks he is too cool to talk to you and i find him to be very rude. on a busy day you find a lot of loud crown there. So if you want a bit private and quiet , find another place like Aria perhaps. I gave them 3 star because even though i love calamari, overall i am not a big fan.

Finally a place that knows how to cook their pasta! This place was great. I ordered a lovely glass of Italian Pinot Grigio. Then followed it up with the caprese appetizer. Wonderful mozzarella and great olive oil. For dinner I ordered the eggplant pasta. It was incredible. Very flavorful and like I mentioned before, the pasta was cooked perfectly! My boyfriend had pappardelle with the parmesan cream sauce topped with prosciutto. It was great too. Finally, we finished our wonderful meal with a cannoli. As our waiter explained, it is done "old style" with a bit of lemon zest and it is filled when you order. It was incredible. Our waiter was great. Very nice and explained all of the dishes. He even let the people next to us make special orders, although I don't know why you would need too. The ambiance was great and compared to other places we walked by surprisingly did not have a wait.

Ristorante Euno is completely competitive with more expensive North End foodie retreats. OMG, first, the Creme Brûlée is #INSANE, some of the best anywhere, ever. The Cannolis were crisp and Tiramisu lusciousness. Let's start from the start. The Caprese Salad was solid, with a generously thick balsamic reduction and pesto. The Carciofo Euno, Grilled artichoke stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto was stunning. The pasta Bolognese was unique, sort of like elegant shredded brisket in velvet marinara blessed with huge chunks of big boy tomatoes and whole cloves of cooked garlic. The roasted eggplant, plum tomatoes, topped with fresh mozzarella and caramelized garlic stood out...decadent actually. Don't forget to ask the server what wine is available but not on the menu. I had a very nice Barolo, not on the list, at a very reasonable price for the quality. The only knock is that the server was a slight bit crabby when we asked for a spot of salt for one of the dishes and (again) when we asked to take a few minutes extra on a busy night before our server put in the dessert order. Neither of those things mattered ultimately compared the authenticity of this 18 year old North End mainstay. Don't hesitate to eat here.

My dining experience last night at Euno was good though not fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the server was very very good. I would say the service was probably the best part of the experience. But the most important aspect (the food) was maybe an 8 out of 10. I got lobster ravioli topped with 3 cooked shrimp. The meat inside lacked a certain sweetness, and the sauce was a slightly odd yellow color (not Alfredo, and not vodka sauce), though it tasted good. The raviolis were served covered with sliced onions and huge sprigs of parsley which I found a little odd. There were also sliced grape tomatoes which made more sense, and a dash of balsamic. My friend got a mixed seafood dish and she said it was good, but again wasn't raving about it. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect. Light yummy fluffy and flavorful. So I would say this place is definitely worth dining at. It's just not my favorite in the North End, which has many many options for Italian (stiff competition).

I finally found a place in the North End, Boston for the most part that is unique, and consistently serves the best meals I've ever eaten. There are so many restaurants in the area, I often either take clients or attend business dinners, and sometimes have time to dine with friends. There are only two things I would change, but they are also the reason I return. A genuine approach to service. The food is exquisite, but this city has many places that serve food of this caliber. It is the service, the unpretentious presentation of these meals. though I often refer to Yelp to select new places when traveling or entertaining, I never have reviewed a restaurant on here. I dined here three times, and finally thought I had better write this up. Each visit was flawless. The first time I walked in off the street with my wife, Peter, a server approached us as if we were the most important people in a very full dining room. We were seated in the lower level, which was fine, it was a bit chilly upstairs. this authentic wine cellar with warm ambiance and a fireplace made our March visit very romantic. We were suggested the stuffed artichokes, perfectly stuffed with Goat cheese, wrapped in prosciutto, with arugula greens and fennel in a basket of linguini (it was explained). Peter served a Veal Chop that still has me salivating and my wife enjoyed the swordfish, perfectly cooked, honestly the best I'd ever had. I still enjoy my steakhouses, but this veal chop, though not the same quality of Ruth's Chris, was prepared so well and it was considerably less. The service was outstanding. The entire evening, Greyson took the professional touches as Peter checked on us every course then went upstairs. The other waiter, Joseph was so hospitable as well. This was an evening that seemed like a major celebration. This place sets apart, the owner Robert greeted us and introduced himself. A restaurant of this caliber without the uptight and stiff corporate or North End attitude that we once loved is a gem! I booked my office party there in April, as Peter once again was gracious and my co-workers cant stop going on and on about how special that evening was. I entertained a client there on Saturday night, I was recognized. It was the little touches as Peter remembered that I like my dressing light on my Caesar salad, anchovies on the side. Now that's customer service! I actually ate The Linguini with clams and my client was so impressed that she had a Branzino so perfect in every way that she ate the whole exotic dish herself. My wine was poured by another server, very efficient these folks are. He is very nice as well. So to sum it up, if you want the greatest meal in your life, you have to go to Ristorante Euno. It's not the easiest place to find, but it is worth the visit. It is charming, not in a forced way, and the servers talk to you and guide you through to personalize your experience and that's what diners really want. Peter is one of the best restaurant pros in Boston. I can't wait to go back again for my wife's birthday next week.

We went here with friends on a Saturday night. The North End was packed, but we had a reservation so the wait was about 15 minutes. Our waiter was knowledgeable, funny and attentive. For appetizers we had the Caprese Salad and the grilled Artichokes with goat cheese & prosciutto. Both were beautiful and delicious. For entrees we had Fresh Halibut, Salmon, Bolognese and Lobster Fra Diavolo. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The flaming Creme Brûlée and Chianti were perfect as well. Overall perfect. This restaurant is a gem in the North End. Make a reservation.

Food was good but the wait staff was very rude. Had a party of 10 seated at 730 and they told us at 8 that they have another reservation after us at 9. Never experienced having the waitstaff aggressively rushing us.

This is one of the North End Gems! The food was all fresh, delicious, inspiring, and the service was available but not pushy at all. We did have one small issue with the wine being the wrong year (is was a very young Nero D'Avola), but our waiter comped the table a pair of deserts to make up). I hesitate to say this in fear of them raising prices, but the pricing was beyond fair. Pasta dished in the 15 -20 range, meats at 22 ish... Not at all unreasonable for the north end. Wines starting in the mid $30's.... not bad I am putting good for kids in here as we brought our 2 10 / 11 year old boys (with discerning palates), and the waiter worked them perfectly. Granted, these kids are well mannered and respectful, but the waiter did a fine job with them. This is my second time eating here and will certainly go back. Plus - NO TV!

Good ass food. Mad surprised. Wife had seafood soup with tomato sauce or some shit. Delicious. They don't have IPAs on draft. Place is small.

I haven't eaten in the North End too often, but I have been here twice and have had fantastic experiences each time. The first time, I arrived half an hour before my reservation, and I was invited inside and given a free glass of wine. The second time they gave us 5 desserts.... FOR FREE. I honestly don't know why they offered this to us, but I couldn't say no! Their lamb shank was delicious and the salmon was good as well. I remember the grilled artichoke appetizer was amazing! The atmosphere was cozy and the wait staff was very nice. The only worrisome thing is that both times I have eaten here, the restaurant has been close to empty. Maybe I was eating dinner a little too early ~5-6 PM on a Friday night, but if I had a good time, surely other people would know about it too! Granted I wasn't paying the bill, so maybe there are cheaper options out there, and it explains why I was given free things.... But I can't complain!

We showed up around 630 yesterday (Saturday night) with no reservation. As you can imagine North End was a circus. We had a party of 3 and I kindly asked the manager if we can come in to eat. He was very nice and was able to sneak us in, if anyone knows North End they know that this is a miracle for a Saturday night. Anyways, the service was superb and the ambiance is very pleasant. The whole experience was great. We ordered artichoke stuffed with goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, it was awesome. I ordered the Osso Bucco pappardelle bolognese, it was unbelievable. They were very nice and hospitable to us I'm grateful they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. We will be back!

Super cute spot, very attentive waiter, excellent food. Why four stars? I can't put my finger on why they didn't get the fifth. My swordfish was amazing, the dates pasta sampling was to die for (get the alfredo), and the starter of the goat cheese stuffed artichoke was delicious. Very accommodating, very quaint, but I'm just not sure I'd HAVE to go back here. Great time though, hit it up definitely once.

Excellent northern Italian cuisine. Could be the best swordfish I've had in years. Very nice Barolo at reasonable price

The staff were friendly and the food was great! I got the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and it was absolutely delicious! I definitely finished every bite. The tiramisu was also awesomely delicious. The place is small but there is no line unlike other popular Italian restaurants in the area - which is a definite plus in my book. This is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a try.

It had been over 6 years since we last dined at Euno and I was hoping our scheduled visit would live up to the memories of past meals. Our recent visit exceeded the memories of the quality of dishes and had us wishing we could return soon. If at all possible try to sit in the basement of the restaurant because the fireplace, arched brick ceilings and décor add a level of coziness to the dining experience. The service is very attentive and includes a true interest in making your visit as great as possible. Plus the sense of humor is also greatly appreciated. While they have a regular menu, the variety of nightly specials is what caught my taste-buds. We started the meal off with fresh bread and a seasoned olive oil followed the chef's pasta tasting, which consisted of half portions of two pastas. Tonight's tasting included a rigatoni in a red sauce and gnocchi in a white truffle and gorgonzola sauce. While both were good, I am still thinking about the gnocchi, because it was the best I've ever eaten! For a main course I had the double cut bone in pork chop served with a reduction sauce, grilled vegetables and polenta. The chop was huge and cooked perfectly. My wife had the quarto cheese chicken cutlet (Chicken parm), which filled the plate and was delicious. Along with the bottle of vino recommended by our server our experience was wonderful! Forget the lines at the "touristy" places in the North End and eat at Euno, you will not be disappointed.

We came into the restaurant and had the most amazing dinner. The pasta was homemade, with beautiful sauce. They were very attentive with our two boys. Great wine selection and food. Great time!

Had a fantastic dinner here. Richard was our server and he was generous and accommodating. We had the most amazing proscutto wrapped artichoke appies. Also the gnocchi with truffle oil and gorgonzola was the best I've ever had. Dessert was tiramisu and a perfect cinnamon-y canolli. Free limoncello at the end. I would definitely return.

Okay, beware of Euno's. We met various family members there from parts north and south around Boston for an 11 person dinner this fall. Before we could even get menus they said we were too many to order that way and that they would do a group menu. Dishes came swirling at us. We had with us everyone from my mother in law who is 90 to my youngest nephew who is 14. When the bill came they had charged us $150 each!!! Woaaaaah. We felt to hoodwinked. It was good, but not that good. My husband and I are people who frequent restuarants alot for professional reasons and knew that we had been had. We ended up arguing with them and getting it downwards toward $100 per person (which was still WAY to steep for what we had received). We paid and ran from the place! Never again. Beware. We have frequented the Southend frequently when we visit Boston (where we used to live and where we have alot of family), but had never run into anything like this. Big scam!!!!

The food here was AMAZING! I was here last week for a friend of mine's birthday with a group of 10 ladies and by the time the whole group got there, we were an hour late. But the waitress was still really understanding. We were seated upstairs and the decor was okay. If they had more of a partition between the seating area and the kitchen, it would REALLY help. i haven't seen the downstairs so I can't say much. The prices were a tiny bit cheaper than all the other restaurants in the North End. The dishes with meats or fish were the most expensive, but the regular moderately priced pastas were amazing as well. I tried what all of my friends had and I think the only thing I didn't like was the pesto. I think the parmigiana was my favorite and it seemed like the dish with the largest portion too. Oh and my biggest complaint is how scarce the bread was. Otherwise, great food and an overall great experience.

I wish I could give Euno more stars. I planned a large dinner here for a friends birthday, 16 women to be exact. The restaurant has two levels, so luckily we had the whole lower level to ourselves. The decor is very rustic, with terra cotta and exposed brick. There is a lovely fireplace on the lower level. Our waiter, Wilson, was brilliant. It isnt easy to keep 16 women happy, but he did a wonderful job. We always had water and fresh bread--not to mention they serve it with a lima bean and olive oil puree. To die for! Entrees are reasonably priced, and everyone was happy with their choices. They recently changed their menu, and dont just have the typical red sauce entrees, they have game hen, tuna, and many seafood choices. Wine list was extensive. They didnt rush us, they catered to all of our questions, and the food was delish. They even offer $25 vouchers on restaurant.com . Try the artichoke and goat cheese appetizer!!!!!

Ok. I was nervous to go here after reading some reviews, but there was a reason to be nervous. Wine was great, apps were pretty good, but my meal was a mess. I ordered a filet which was 35.00-it was raw in the middle. I ordered it medium rare, but this was raw. I sent it back and it came back raw again. Everyone else was done eating when it came back for a third time. They had cooked in the oven and it was tough and no longer tasted like a filet. I told them just to forget it. I said forget it after I overheard someone that worked there say "what is her problem now." I am not that picky, I just wanted a somewhat cooked steak for the price I was paying for it. No one came over to apologize, and they just acted like nothing ever happened. They didn't offer us a dessert menu to look at, and it seemed like they just wanted us out of there. If you are going to the North End I would recommend going somewhere else. VERY POOR customer service.

i am surprised at the low ratings for euno, im giving 5 stars to bring the average up. i love this place, and i know italian. again, a must for all my visitors to boston. this is authentic, gourmet italian cuisine. super seafood risotto, yummy pear and spinach salad, savory grilled calamari. don't expect any hokey lasagna dishes here. waaaaaaay better than most of the lame-o fake spagetti and meatballs joints on touristy hanover street.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
