I know there are plenty of Prets around NYC, but never tried one until I was up in Boston. The coffee was flavorful and I prefer it to Starbucks (but that's just me). The cream cheese/basil/tomato baguette was a different, but tasty breakfast. Pret seems very committed to organic foods and donates its left over food for the day to those in need.

Most unfriendly staff. Recently moved to the area and this is my local coffee shop. I prefer the Pret A Manger coffee to starbucks which is 50 feet away. Every single time I have been there it is like you are an inconvenience to the staff. Twice they have given me the wrong sized coffee (small instead of large) and when I explain to them that I ordered and paid for a large its like its my fault, They never say hello or thank you. So rude. The manager is as bad. I arrived in one day and he was chatting away to some customers, there was no one on to make coffee so the cashier told him that there was an order. He ignored her calling him three times and then looked up to heaven at me as he had to stop chatting and make a coffee. I'm off to find another coffee shop.

Pret is another chain on a street ruled by chains. What sets it apart is that it costs more and poisons you less than any other place around that sells quick, pre-prepped food. True to its name, the portions are exceptionally small; just a few bites. It exists in this grey area where it's all really good, but due to the cost and portions, it's never truly satisfying. The best part is the seating area; trendy and comfortable. The high prices keep it from being a hangout for homeless folks like the Dunkin across the street, but you'll get all the snob and hipster overflow from Starbucks, so pick your poison. In spite of the welcome addition of some not-so-processed food to the block, I reluctantly reward only 3 stars, because I'm a harsh critic and a bad person. Perfectly fine if you're on a diet, but not on a budget.

Yes, OK, it was Christmas day. But the service was terrible. The young lady behind the counter was not the brightest and rude to boot. I was looking for coffee -regular vs. a regular (which for out of towners means it comes with tons of cream and sugar). All I saw on the menu were versions of espresso. So I asked the counter person for plain coffee. Actually I asked 2X. She replied they only had dark roast and light roast. Um, OK - so where was this? Could I get a small? As I paid, she complained (to a nearby co-worker?) right in front of me that she could not believe it was only 2:00, moaned, and stated that she could not wait to get outta there. Well, at this point ...ditto! As I proceeded to grab my beverage from the self serve area I had missed on the way in, the worker decided at this precise moment to come out from behind the counter to wipe down the coffee area. This just as I was trying to fill the cup I had just paid for. I had to jockey around her. Seriously? I know she was basically just a kid, probably earning minimum wage - but I would suspect that on this day she was earning at least time and a half and probably could have chosen not to work. I hope the management team does some customer service training in the future for their employees. In the long run I did get my coffee despite so many coffee establishments being closed. And the coffee was better than Dunkin's. But on a typical day would I rush back here for a cup of Joe? Nah.

Great food. And service except when the "manager" takes care. This arrogant prick will serve a 12 oz cup half full. This guy has no manners and he is the reason why I do not recommend stoping at this location. There is another one very close and it does not have an a$$h0l3 in charge.

I don't understand what is the hype about this restaurant chain at all. It just another fast food restaurant just like the rest in downtown Boston. All the foods inside this restaurant are pre made. Non of it are freshly made as you order them right there. It is also over price compare to other restaurants around the area. The portion of the food is tiny. Since the restaurant just recently open, the interior are new with many chairs and tables. I pay almost $9.00 for a tiny chicken salad wrap. What a rip off! I will never come back to this place ever again.

This place just opened up on State and Washington. Food is fresh and delicious. It's all pre-made the same day so it's quick and easy to get what you want. The staff is always friendly and its a pretty good price for a meal. I recommend it for anyone with a busy schedule. Try the chicken and bacon sandwich. Great lunch spot.

Like the food but $12.00 for a chicken noodle and two eggs is silly. Never been happy with the volatility of the counter workers and how loud it is.

Good coffee. Good breakfast food. Love the fact that can actually taste all the ingredients in the breakfast burrito. Tasted the red onions; didn't just see them in there.
