This Mcdonald's isn't great. The prices are higher than other Mcd's, and it usually takes a while to get your food because of the high volume of customers. It is small and slender for a Mcdonald's, with never enough seating, even though they have a second floor with seating which I havent seen open in years. Chained off, always. Lots of beggar bums out front, and the seating is arranged weirdly so youre sometimes sitting with strangers or those super high stools that are uncomfortable for most. There is one bathroom stall with a questionable lock, so if someone locked it wrong, could flash the counter area. There is also a table one centimeter from the bathroom. Yum.

It's not really fair to give this restaurant one star, but zero stars wasn't an option. It's always fun to enter a restaurant with broken AC on a 90-degree day, but we had promised the kids, so... The list of what's wrong is standard, but usually you don't get every one of these in a single visit. Apparently, today was my lucky day. That list includes: A lack of tables (The upstairs was closed.), one yucky bathroom with a long line (always the case), rude or indifferent staff, flies having a little convention at the condiment table and, hmm, I dunno, I probably should have written it all down or something. On the plus side, when they couldn't get the coupon on my app to register, they just gave me free fries instead of figuring out what the problem was.

My wife and I went here for 4 breakfasts I think. We each got a $1 yogurt parfait and we split a Diet Coke. It was a nice day opener at about 8 AM every morning, but it would help if the people that worked at the COUNTER SPOKE FREAKIN' ENGLISH! Dear Lord, everyone there didn't understand what we said. There were two homeless guys we saw everyday which was a treat and then the guy that dug the coffee cup out of the garbage and filled it up with soda was another thing that said class. Overall, it was cheap and we got our 100 calories for the morning for the 4 hours of walking we did each day. Wheee!

Worst ever. This location is weird no mcdouble and no all day breakfast . It's like they are from the year 1990.

This is, of course, your standard McDonald's with standard McDonald's food. And goodness knows I love my McDonald's food. However, every time I have been here, the fries have been lukewarm and soggy. As well, I've had trouble finding clean tables to sit at - they don't seem to wipe down the tables too often - and this establishment is frequented by loiterers and the homeless. Finally, the prices here seem slightly higher than at other McDonald's locations in the city.

The only reason this place got 2 Stars is cause the food was good. The first thing I saw when I walked in the front door of this McDonald's was a young lady giving a young man head under the table...I guess they was living up to the McDonald's slogan of "I'm loving it". But other then the food this place is a no go!

Another disgusting and begging-bum infested MD's that should be closed! This is going to be my last MD review in MA because they all seem to suck eggs! Filthy Bums as far as the eye can see unfriendly staff gross food

After a tough workout at SLCA, Leighann and I wanted to check out McD's new lattes since they were advertising sugar free vanilla syrup and skim milk. After a few minutes of saying "This is awesome!" "So cheap!" and "We're coming here ALL THE TIME", we realized we spoke too soon. We both ordered sugar free non fat vanilla lattes. Mine was with an extra shot. Try #1- served ice. Try #2- no explanation, just took it away after I repeated my order to make sure they got it right. Try #3, was "correct" although they looked at us funny when I asked them to assure us they used sugar free vanilla syrup. As for my extra shot of espresso, they served it to me in a separate cup. Um, okayyyyyy. The latte itself was really good! Although 15 minutes repeating my order three times is worth more than the extra $1.50 at Starbucks for comparable product and getting it right the first time. Been here a few other times. Food is same as every other McDonald's.

I actually work here and i would ahve to say about half the staff here isn't very focused or have communication issues with customers, I'm not usually a happy guy at the counter because people just expect way too much from me, I can't take an order and run over to get your shake, and give some random guy who ordered 5 minutes ago napkins where they're at the drink fountain that says "NAPKINS" in bold...It's almost absurd that any sensible customer is whining about this place, but i guess it takes all kinds....

This McDonalds does not meet the standards of the national chain. The bathroom is disgustingly dirty. The vibe is LOUD, angry...and slightly scary. The Deal: I doubt the franchise owner realizes. They need an episode of Undercover Boss!

Ordered a lobster roll today. Watched the staff pull out the claw meat to save for themselves before putting the sandwich in a bag and handing to me. It was busy so I guess they thought I wasn't watching. Needless to say I complained, got my money back and will never return again. Very poor management at this location.

First off, I would like to apologize for eating here. My only justification is that I was hung over, only had five minutes for lunch and had to have my McFlurry. OK. I just lied. I've never had the McFlurry so I wouldn't know. I've been going to McDonalds since I was a fetus. I always get the same thing...nuggets, fries and coke. I used to get crazy and order a shake but that seems to confuse them when you try to deviate from the pictures on the menu, so I stopped. Why even read this review? Everybody knows what McDonalds is like. It's the Golden Arches man! The leader of all things fast food! Yes, it's not very good for you, but GFY for constantly telling me that. I already know and I don't care. I love me some nuggets! Except maybe for the bad one we always got in the 20 piecer back in the day. If you haven't been to McDonalds, then I feel sorry for you. That rock you've been living under must be heavy.

close by to my house. stock mcdonald food. quick service. yes, tons of homeless people hang about around this fine establishment but you're in downtown boston, what did you expect to find about a cheap food joint? for those people complaining about the service here, SUCK IT UP THIS IS NOT A FIVE STAR RESTAURANT, you haven't been to the one in chinatown -- where they make comments about you in cantonese -- hello, i'm an asian in chinatown, there's a 75% chance i know what you're saying. i actually like the service here, most of the time the people are friendly, quick to get your food out and good with keeping the line moving.

Why do the majority of the McDonald's reviews on Yelp include an apology for eating there followed by some justification why they did (i.e. I was hungover, I only had 5 minutes for lunch, I only order the McFlurry, etc.)? I like McDonald's. In fact a whole lot of people like McDonald's considering there are 30,000 of them in the world. When the Berlin wall fell, a McDonald's opened in East Berlin. When the cold war ended, a McDonald's opened in Moscow. People all over the world want to eat at McDonald's. That's impressive. Julia Child said that McDonald's had the best french fries she ever had. That's also impressive. You know what else is impressive? You can order Chickn McNuggets at the one on Tremont Street or the one in Portland, Oregon and they are going to be the same exact thing. McDonald's must be doing something right...

Coffee drinkers, rejoice! McDonald's now serves decent, cheap, ORGANIC coffee. Two things to note: 1. A large iced coffee here is larger than any other iced coffee I've ever ordered. It's huge. Big gulp order of magnitude. The cup is too large for my tiny hands and the caffeine is too bountiful for my tiny brain. 2. The flavored coffees are made with syrups that have a lot of sugar in them. When I inadvertently ordered a flavored coffee at this particular McD's location, and was horrified by how sugary it was, they made me a new one right away and didn't give me a hard time about it at all.

love the fact that they have mango, wildberry, strawberry smoothies and frappes. I realized not all mc.donalds have them.

I'm the first one to write a review of the Boston Common McDonald's? What an honor. This'll actually be a rather narrow review. McDonald's is the enemy of health, quality, and all that's good in the world. You know that. So I won't bore you with anything about their burgers or fries. The last time I ate them, come to think of it, was over two years ago (for a special occasion). The only thing I ever get here--and by "ever" I mean about once a year--is the McFlurry. It's really good. At some McDonald's I've been to, they don't make 'em correctly. I've been given a cup of ice cream with M&Ms on top, which is *not* a McFlurry. But not here. So kudos to the employees, for knowing how to use the automated machine they're hired to operate. Cleanliness is about average for a McDonald's, i.e., it's slightly dirty. It's also dark, because of the way it's oriented in the downtown business building. The seating arrangement makes it feel crowded without too many people actually being in there, and it just doesn't feel pleasant to eat in there. So take your McFlurry (since nothing else here is worth getting...well, maybe the hotcakes) and go eat it on the Common. I give this two stars. That means the McFlurry gets the highest possible rating, and everything else gets nada. I declare that averages out to two stars.

My friends and I ran to this establishment to get food before it closed. We arrived at 11:16, 14 mins before the closing time of 11:30. As we arrived, whom I presumed to be the manager locked us out and wagged his finger at us. as we expressed that it was not yet closing time, he ignored us and did not let us enter. We were forced to go to a competitor down the street. I am disappointed in this service and will not return.
