So far, so great! Giant, delicious Chicken Parm Sub for lunch was an excellent meal for less than $10. And yes, it was truly GIANT and the bread was warm and fresh. I cannot wait to come back and hear that they have good breakfasts too (despite what the other Yelpers say). We shall see!

Kinda bogus breakfast food. Had a pretty bad omelet that was fairly expensive and uninspired. I can get a much better omelet in the morning at metro down on congress street (albeit more expensive by a dollar or two). I would put this place on pair with Dunkin Donuts.

First and last time in. $6.50 for a greek salad which basically consists of a container of iceberg lettuce (1 cucumber slice, 2 cherry tomatos and a scoop of feta)? No thank you. I could've bought my own head of iceberg for less than a buck.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff very helpful. The breakfast sandwiches are freshly made very tasty. For lunch I highly recommend the chicken Parmesan.

I work in the area and went there with a few co-workers to pickup some lunch. Arrived, ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and an unsweetened iced tea. A couple of minutes later, I was handed a plastic cup that was about 90% ice and 10% iced tea and my wrap and left. That lunch had cost me almost $11. Insanity. I got to the office, took a few bites and found absolutely nothing special about it. It was kind of bland to be honest and I found little satisfaction in eating it. At least it was decently sized but then again, for what I paid, it should have been massive. The ratio of filling to wrap was pretty bad too. The iced tea was okay but it only took about 4 sips to finish it which peeved me. All in all this is a giant nope for me. While it was fast and the service was pretty friendly, the quality to price ratio is way off and they'd be hard pressed to get me to come through those doors again. On the upside it was clean inside and their Italian food looked decent but that would require a second visit for me to find out...

Always had good luck with the specials. Shepards Pie on Thursday is always great. the restaurant itself is clean. staff is friendly, one of my favorite lunch spots when in the area.

I love to eat here, there is space to sit at a table and the staff is always friendly. Portions are generous. Chicken kebab special is the best.

Their hummus wrap was garlicy but tasty. I went in before noon to get lunch, and service was speedy if not all that friendly. Seems quite spacious with more room to eat inside than at Metro or Flour or Bee's Knees. I'll be back.

Solid lunch spot. Friendly staff, seating area, good prices. Enjoyed a buffalo chicken wrap that was big, just a bit spicy, and filling.

The only reason this place is still in business is because it's the one of the only places in the Waterfront/Fort Point area that serves breakfast and lunch. I'm a simple girl with simple needs. Like wheat toast. I want you to toast the bread and then put butter on it. I don't want you to heat up the bread in the microwave and then dip it in a vat of butter (I have gotten bread that is literally dripping, EW) and I don't want you to burn the hell out of it and not put any butter on it. I hope the owner can send his employees back to culinary school or second grade or wherever it is that you learn how to use a toaster.

This place may not be the absolute best in deliciousness, but I love going here because of the employees. I think it's a family-run business -- at least that's how it feels. The same person makes my food every time, and the same woman rings me up at the register. They're all super nice and welcoming. Personally, I think the food is great. Feels like home, not a chain restaurant.

Such nice people, but don't get the pre-made salads- awful. The muffins are decent though.

This place is what you would call a typical independently run 'mom & pop' place. Very sweet old couple, either Greek or Italian. I have had some good items here for lunch as have my co-workers. I really enjoy their sauteed veggie sandwich, they put oregano on the veggies and the pita half was filled with large pieces of veg, very happy. They also have an amazing pasta salad with olives, feta, tomatoes, onions, pepperoncini, possibly some other items I cannot recall but she told me they have it daily and you can get a half order if you want - extremely tasty! My co-worker gets their chicken parm which he says is amazing and I have been happy with their tuna salad wrap before. Definitely not a bad choice and the price is much better for the homecooked food then some of the options at Channel Cafe.

Seeing the reviews here for this place make me thing Yelp should cull reviews. Many of the "five star" reviews are quite dated - as they mention the cost of items which of course have gone up. I also believe the management is different than the "amazing couple that owns this place" from 2008. - With that said, I give this place 2.5 stars, for my first visit. Stopped in for lunch and got a meatball sub and a bottle of soda. $9.20. Expensive - but also sadly typical for this area. If the quality of food was better, I wouldn't worry so much about the price. - It's pretty big inside - and clean. And there are a good number of seats. Sure, the people who took my order were friendly, and even brought it to my seat. But - for nearly 10 bucks I got a sub that was nothing but 4 meatballs that were not fresh and slightly watery, underwhelming sauce. It was messy to eat, and there was nothing special about the flavor of those meatballs or the sauce. It was the most plain meatball sub. Al's is cheaper, bigger, and far tastier. If you don't know Al's, you're not from here! So yeah, the place was nice enough, and it's convenient for lunch, but that sandwich was utterly boring. I do plan to go back, and try a different menu item or two, in order to give this place a fair assessment. For now, 3 stars is adequate, and that may be too generous at that!

This place gets 5 stars automatically for the amazing couple that owns this place. They are some of the friendliest people I've met. They treat total strangers like they have known them for years. They will joke and play around and make sure that you are happy with your order. The woman was telling me a story of how she accidentally over-charged one of her customers, and hopes that she will see them again so she can fix that. I mean, come on, you here about those people that "accidentally" charge extra for something, and think nothing of it. But this woman actually CARES about her customers. I I grabbed a chicken salad sandwich from here, along with a tasty tea drink, all for under $7.00. The sandwich was packed with the perfect amount of chicken salad. Some places (I love you Susan's, but you do it) just jam their sandwiches with the salad mix, and half the stuff ends up down your shirt (Is that just me?), and you have to look like the chicken salad monster for the rest of the day. Anyway, it's a little bit of a walk from my office, but this place is totally worth it. Delicious food plus great owners equals a fantastic experience.

Maybe I went at a time when there were new people working here or something, but I was much less impressed than the other reviewers. One visit, there was no one in the restaurant and we were very pressured to hurry up and order something. Not super friendly. The food looks great. But every time I have decided to get lunch here, I am sorely disappointed. One time I got a chicken pasta dish that I THREW AWAY because it was so awful. I'd rather walk to Viga.

This place is awesome. When our work moved into the area, it was depressing because there didn't seem to be any decent lunch places to eat. Marco Polo has the best staff ever. They are very quick, friendly and will remember your face. You can customize your order without them sighing or taking too long. The food is fresh and very plentiful. Home cooked meals like meatloaf, stuffed shells, mac n cheese are a pleasent surprise to find. You can also get a simple sub or sandwich. Their breakfast takes a bit longer - but is also excellent. Our office can usually smell the food being cooked in the morning and it smells so delicious. You may think it looks a little pricey - but for the quality and portion-size, it is an extremely good deal. They started accepting credit/debit cards in the last two months or so - so even better. This place is open work-type hours. You can either eat inside the restaurant or take it to go.

Great lunch spot for those who work near the Children's Museum. The lunch meals are a bit pricy, but cooked fresh every day. For breakfast, the bagles are AMAZING. You have to get one in the morning, though. They go fast. Within two visits, the woman at the counter will remember you. She is very sweet. Just yesterday, I had an awkard experience with another customer staring me down (that 'is that a guy or a girl' look). The woman at the register noticed, gave me a wink and didn't charge me for my bagle. Made my day! This is a family run place. They are starting to serve some organic iced teas (in the cooler). Plenty of seating, but it gets very busy during the lunch hour. CASH ONLY. Closes at 3pm. Not open on weekends.

Want good Italian take out for lunch? You'll find it here. We typically split a sandwich (usually the meatball sub) and a greek salad. The tuna salad is also good. You can take out or order and sit down.

If you have celiac disease or a gluten intolerance... don't bother. I just went there to grab a simple salad at lunch and asked if there was sauce on the chicken and was told no... 10 minutes later when I was back at the office... found chicken covered in sauce... had to walk back and ask to see the marinade ingrediants and am still not sure I should be eating it. The man I spoke with ws nice, but didn't get the whole food allergy thing and how being honest about whether or not there's a sauce could've avoided the problem. I don't plan on going back there again.
