I need a Lollicup in DC!!!! Lollicup has the best selection of bubble teas.

I think Lolicup is a great idea... bringing boba tea to the white man! If you have never had a boba tea, then find a Lolicup in your area and order a milk tea with tapioca pearls (regular size). Or if you are less adventurous a strawberry or watermelon shake with boba. Very good. They recently started accepting credit cards... a big plus!

It's true. They make a mean boba tea here. The taro milk tea with mini boba is my favorite and the hubs really likes the Thai tea slush with mega boba. Order some before you go shopping at the Super 88. And don't forget: it's cash only.

  • Jackie C.

The drinks are overpriced for being made out of syrup... Other places make similar drinks with syrup for almost half the price. For quality and price, you can definitely get more at other boba places. Not worth going to if you're going to the 88 food court specifically for bubble tea.

I have had it with the rude, nasty employees here! They are a cash only business and don't have simple change for a $20 bill. When I tried to pay, the girl first rudely asked me why I couldn't pay with a smaller bill. She then attempted to short me $2 and give me all the $1 bills in the drawer. When I said I would get change and come back in a moment she didn't want to give me my $20 bill back and didn't say thank you when I returned with exact change. There is a new tea place up the street named Limoo. I can't wait to try them and not have to deal with rude staff any longer! I've had too many rude, frustrating experiences here. I wish it were possible to give 0 stars!

If you are looking for some boba that's conveniently close to your apartment, this place does the job. It's not as expensive as kungfu tea and it tastes alright. I would say their best drink is its thai tea boba or the thai tea boba slush. Make sure to ask for their point collection card! Once you received enough stamps you'll be able to claim one free drink of any kind!

All I tasted is water in this re bean slush! This is ridiculous!! They added so much water and you can't even taste the sweetness nor any of the red bean in this red bean slush!!! I've already write to the cooperate let them know about what I had from this lollipop at Allston, super 88 market cafeteria! I wasted my money in this worthless drink!!! Will never again!!!!

Love the basic milk tea with pudding. Good and consistent every time I get it (which is more often than I'd like to admit...). Definitely worth a try if you like milk tea. Their other drinks are great as well. Staff is always friendly and non-judgmental when I fumble w my change to pay (*heads up: cash only).

Great drinks, although the papaya drink didn't really taste like papaya... It was frustrating more with the service- they ask for names I guess so that they can call your name out when your drink is ready. But when it came to it, they yelled "Ey" while obviously holding my drink. I didn't say anything in case someone before me ordered the same thing. But after a while, I figured I was the only one who ordered it. So then it was a while before they were unoccupied and I could get their attention to tell them it was my drink. The drink was good enough that I would go back still. But if it is a recurring problem, then maybe not.

I hadn't come here in awhile because I didn't think it was as good as the many other boba places that have popped up in the area... But it was pretty good the last time I came! The boba was nice, chewy, and sweet! The milk tea could have been less sweet... But that's my fault, I forgot to request for the milk tea to be not as sweet! We also had ordered red bean shaved ice.. which I didn't know they had. Very good! Had lots of sweetener and red bean on top. I really enjoyed this. If I'm ever in super 88 and craving boba or shaved ice, I know I don't have to go all the way to Allston to get it now!

I had an unrelenting craving for Boba so I opened my Yelp app to find a tea place near me. I saw that there's one in the Super 88 food court so rushed over to get some milk tea with tapioca. The guy at the register was very nice but unfortunately the drink didn't match the great service. The tea itself was good but the boba was pretty hard which ruined the drink for me and I couldn't even finish it. Other reviewers have had different experiences so I will probably return another time and hope for softer/chewier tapioca.

This place had some of the best bubble teas I have had in a while! I got a classic Milk-tea with mini boba and my friend got a strawberry smoothie with medium sized boba and we both loved it! This was the first time Ive ever ordered mini boba and it was awesome. It wasn't clumpy or inconsistent in texture like some places can be if they don't have a great turnover rate. The tea itself was delicious and perfectly sweet. My friend loved his strawberry smoothie, which was made with freshly cut strawberries, and the medium sized boba was good too. The staff was very friendly to us, and the location within the food court makes this a great spot for dinner and desert! Definitely a fun location for a date night or for eating with a few friends, I hope to be back soon!

Love the smoothie bubble tea here! And the milk tea are really good as well (I prefer less sugar).

I'm a boba tea addict and usually love to explore different boba tea places in Boston. This one is one of my favorite. I think the price is a tiny bit more expensive than places like Kung Fu Tea, but I come here for 2 drinks that other places don't have - Peppermint Green Tea & Bailey Milk Tea. Both are yummy. The service is fast and everyone always are friendly. Will always come back here for those delicious drinks!

  • Muzi M.

Ordered an unsweetened milk tea, I've never had such kind of disgusting drink in my life, it totally tastes like sugar + water.

  • Henry P.

Great place to catch a refreshing drink! The staff and service has always been solid with addition to having awesome cold drinks on a hot Summer's day. Located front and center within the 88 food court, Lollicup sets out and meets expectations every time that I am there. Staff is alert and attentive and always repeats my order back to me to ensure that no mistakes were made. Have been coming here on and off for the last couple of years and they have yet to disappoint me! Be sure to try the Taro Milk tea with boba and a side of their popcorn chicken!

    (5)
  • A S.

Eh, it's alright. Ridiculously expensive for what you get. They use powder for majority of their drinks, even milk tea! Come on, don't be lazy and brew some tea! If you want a real shake and fruit drink, go to Chinatown (it'll be cheaper too)! But if you're around the area and craving for boba then sure, come here and spend more than you should!

    (2)
  • Alice S.

I love how this is inside the food court since that means that I can grab bubble tea along with my meal! I do really like lollicup. I think it's about average and comparable to most bubble tea places, and there's really nothing not to like.

    (4)
  • Elisha T.

I ordered a Boba milk tea and the boba was a medium size and medium chewy soft. Overall I think it's a typical taste you get from a boba place.

Boba milk tea was okay, I ordered no sugar and it was good for me. It could be busy sometimes.

  • Rebecca M.

I've only been here a few times, but I have to say that I love the tapioca milk teas. There are tons of options on the menu from smoothies, to slushes, to basic bubble teas. The menu offers tons of add-ons for your tea such as tapioca, jelly, and pudding. Today, I ordered a bubble milk green tea, which was amazing! I really liked how they asked if I wanted skim, whole, or soy milk -- most places haven't given me this option before in my bubble tea. I've asked other bubble tea shops in Boston what kind of milk they use and I've been told powdered milk. As a person who has been dieting, I would rather know how many calories I will be drinking, especially when it comes to milk. I would definitely give this place a try, if you haven't already. It's delicious and refreshing! Enjoy

I always need a drink after pho! This place is pretty decent and fast. I don't usually get boba, but I really like their lychee green tea with less sugar. It's kind of weird bc I've ordered that drink multiple times, and once they made it with lychee jelly but I didn't want it. They fixed it right away tho and didn't give me any probs. This place always seems busy and is a solid place for some tea. I haven't tried their snacks since I'm usually always getting pho, but some day... Oh, it's cash only so be sure to have that!

  • Amber D.

This place is not too far from my apartment, and apparently I come her so often I don't always have to give my name. :D My favourite flavour is taro and honeydew slush mixed together. Yum!

    (5)
  • Evan H.

3.5 stars Review only for a green tea with honey. I have yet to try any of the bobba/bubble teas. That will be next time. It just felt a little cold to go for one of those. The green tea with honey was stellar, the only dock for stars is that it's a little bit pricey for inside this little super 88 food court. They were super friendly though, and I'll be back. FYI - cash only

  • Natasha M.

Gross. All I tasted was milk in my tea and a synthetic sweet flavor.

    (1)
  • Diva K.

I ordered a Honeydew Soy Milk with bubba to go with my bulgogi meal, and I like it. I had no idea what I wanted to order, but I chose this drink because green is most favorite color, so honeydew it was.

    (5)
  • Ryan S.

This was a good place for bubble tea. The flavor was good and not too sweet. I like the tapioca like beads in the bottom of the tea, they really fill you up though. My mistake was getting a big size tea before dinner. By the time we got to the restaurant a few hours later I was still so full and bloated by those tapioca bubbles that I just had a small appetizer for my dinner. The staff was nice and offered suggestions since I was unsure what to get. Still not sure what I did get, it was some type of green tea with milk but not sure of the specific name.

  • Yue Z.

Not a huge fan of paying full price ($3.50) for milk tea. However, this place is conveniently located in the super 88 center. They make their drinks on the sweet side and give you a bit too much pearls for the amount of liquid. On the plus side, they do offer barley, which is one of my all time favorites. If you happen to be eating or shopping at super 88 and is craving pmt, then this is a sufficient option. Otherwise, I would not make a trip.

Well I haven't had bubble/boba/tapioca ball tea in forever! What a pleasant surprise to find Lollicup (very popular and common in California) here in the same food court as Misono Grill! Just park right outside in the Super 88 Supermarket and walk right in. This is a quick guide as to how to order from their seemingly massive menu and endless number of choices for drinks: 1. Small or large? Um large duh 2. What type of drink are you looking for? A. Milk Tea (comes in multiple flavors) B. Icee/fruity drink (also comes in multiple flavors) C. Ice Coffee D. Smoothie 3. Do you want tapioca/boba/bubbles in your drink? Yes... otherwise why would you come here? 4. Do you want small or large boba? Small is my favorite but people love the large ones... make sure you get the appropriate size straw! What a lot of people who don't grow up with Asian food don't understand is that a lot of Asian food is about flavor AND texture. Boba is all about texture. It doesn't add any flavor to your drink and just gives you an added fun way to drink a tasty beverage. O yah, I forgot: 5. Do you have cash? If you don't, you can't buy a drink here =( - 1 star.

  • Bela S.

I've had boba all over the place, and Lollicup is just as good as any other. I always get the Thai tea and I thought the consistency was fine. I liked that they didn't overload me with ice, something that some places tend to do. Who wants to be sucking up large ice chunks with their boba? I certainly don't! They also have plenty of boba, enough that there was a good bit left when all the liquid was gone. My wife wasn't happy with that, but I enjoyed it. I like chewing some tapioca balls at the end. Personal preference I guess. I'm glad I found this. I didn't know Boston had this chain (Los Angeles transplant). We will be back. :)

I usually order Jasmine milk tea with pearls. I've tried as hot and cold and both taste great. Their chicken is also good! I'm pregnant and don't do well with spicy, which if you order hot, that's exactly what you'll get, but it's sooo good. It's also just as good ordering regular and asking for the spice on the side to dip. I gave this place a 3 star rating because they make me wait to long for my drink as they wait until the chicken is done to give you everything, oh and I live in NH so this is a 30-40 minute drive.

Great taro slushies, this is a great antidote for sweltering summer days in Boston. Their drinks are slightly more expensive but you can't beat convenience, I always get one with my banh mi at the food court.

A fine bubble tea place but nothing special. The mini boba size is TINY, and really odd to me...I definitely don't recommend trying the smaller sized bobas.

Ok update time. Out with the old (BOBA) and in with the new (PUDDING) !!! I found my new love - milk pudding!!!! It's like this white crack. It's so sweet that it hurts my teeth but I don't care because I love it.

  • Tingting L.

Visits: 3+ times, usually around dinner. Drinks: Well, I have them when I forget my water bottle and need something to drink with dinner. I'm used to bubble tea from the DC area, and the tapioca pearls at Lollicup are kind of hard and lumpy in comparison. It's also a bit too sweet for me. The selection is pretty good, though; I've had the honeydew, thai ice tea, milk tea, and green tea flavors, all of which were decent but likely came from powders which can be bought for relatively cheap in Asian stores (which is typical for bubble tea, really - it's more the price expectation issue below). One star off for rather mediocre boba. Atmosphere: It's the Super 88 food court. Dirty, crowded, and loud around dinnertime. Half point off for that, unfortunately. Service: No complaints here - orders filled out promptly enough. Cost/Benefit: Pretty pricey given the location and the offering - I was not expecting to pay as much as I did for a single drink, and was hoping for a higher quality given the price (for instance, fresh ingredients/brews). Oh well. Slakes thirst when you need it.

My favorite place for milk tea with pudding or mini boba or big boba. Lavender milk tea is great hot. I'm a fan of their popcorn chicken but not too spicy please. What's great about Lollicup is that you can purchase raw material to make my own drinks at home just the way you like it on lollicup.com or any Lollicup locations.:)

  • Pratik P.

My coworker and I came here for some bubble tea after dinner. We both got the taro milk tea with tapioca. Meh. Consistency was a litle off for me and the tapioca was a little hard for the both of us. Maybe it was an off day, but I wouldn't make a trek out here. WARNING: Location is tough -- it's in the Super 88 building. The Yelp map may be wrong, but the actual physical address is true. Just beware. Cash only.

  • Lola A.

This is overpriced bubble tea, but they draw me in every time. Boston has so many places to get bubble tea, but Lollicup has the most options. Milk tea, coffee drinks, ice, snow, black tea, green tea- you name it and they've got it. In the summer, I am in love with the watermelon juice. It's chunks, and chunks, and chunks of fresh watermelon blended with ice. In the non-summer months, the mango ice, mango place tea, and passionfruit black tea are my go-to drinks.

    (4)
  • Kelly C.

Fun! I am sad there isn't one closer to me. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but very tasty. Almond snow with mini boba, a little overwhelmed with all the choices on my first visit, but I'd love to try the jellys and creams.

  • Kaicheng L.

I'm incredulous that this place has less than 4 stars. I've had boba tea in all the boba tea capitals of Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore etc.) and Lollicup is right up there with them. The flavors are as authentic as they come, the boba texture is perfect, and the tea is of extremely high quality. I've had boba tea here several times and not once did I get less than exemplary service. Get the pudding milk tea, it is a Taiwan specialty that isn't offered at most other boba tea places in Boston (except at Infusions Cafe in Allston, which isn't as good). This place is the real deal, just ask all the Asian people waiting patiently in line.

This was the place I turned to for bubble tea when I was a student. Although it's not the best bubble tea I had and it is a little overpriced, those disadvantages have never stopped me and my friends from coming here often. I always kept my Lollicup card, and got a stamp every time I got a drink, and after ten orders, I got a free drink of any size. Just getting the ten stamps made me feel like that I accomplished something, since I do not go to this place as often compared to when I was a student. I usually play it safe, and get my favorites that I know that I am going to enjoy and like. My two favorites that I usually get are the Coconut Milk Tea and the Taro Milk Tea. What I enjoyed the most of from both of those drinks is the cool creaminess that flowed through my throat as the refreshing drink quenched my thirst. The boba (tapioca pearls) is not bad. They are nice and chewy, and put some more enjoyment in drinking the bubble tea. I also had the smoothies at this place. During a really hot day, I got a Passion Fruit Snow, and after a few hard sips, I felt an incredible surge of coolness and refreshing feeling flowing through my body. My head felt so cool from that drink that I stopped sweating. Not only did it cool me, it tasted good with a really fruity sweetness. If I ordered boba in it, it would not have tasted good. Overall, the smoothies are a great choice during a really hot day. Although I can definitely find better Bubble Tea places, this is the nearest to my apartment, and I will probably keep coming to this place when I am in the mood for some good bubble tea or smoothies.

I sometimes don't tell my partner when i'm headed here, because I don't want to get in trouble for having delicious boba without her. The prices are a bit high but it doesn't matter--I can't stop myself and you won't be able to either. Location, well, it's in the Super 88 market so it fits right in. I usually have noodles for lunch and Lollicup for dessert! Try the honeydew or watermelon milk boba. Try some slush boba. Try boba period. You won't regret it.

  • Katie W.

One of my favorite bubble tea places in Boston (there aren't many). I only get their Jasmine Green Tea. They use powder to flavor the tea, but it still tastes delicious. Some of their fruit drinks are powder mixes too, but they're starting to use fresh fruit. Love the popcorn chicken too! Definitely get the popcorn chicken/bubble tea combo deal.

  • Jessica D.

I've only been here once / tried 2 bubble tea flavours. I ordered a honeydew snow and my boyfriend ordered a strawberry snow. There are slushes and then there are snows. The slush just might have been more to my liking because the snow was sort of like snow. The snow that sticks. And I felt like if I didn't really move my straw around much, I could drink all of the juice and just have a mound of snow ice left. It's definitely not bad. My boyfriend's strawberry snow has pieces of actual strawberry in it, that was awesome. I'd say, just like my situation, if some place like Eggroll Cafe or Hong Cuc are closed, go here. Although, I'm not opposed to trying more flavours here. There will probably be an updated review in the near future.

***UPDATE*** The manager sent me a message, apologizing, and offered me a free coupon for a boba tea. It wasn't expected, but it was very much appreciated. So Thank You! Rude servers! I just went in there today, and I saw nobody behind the counter. I figured that someone was in the back, so I waited. After a minute of shifting around, I turned to see that half of the food court was drinking bubble tea, so I knew that the place wasn't closed. I looked around more, seeing three Lollicup servers crowded around a table eating, trying to avoid eye contact. I walked out, frustrated. But after spending 20 minutes in traffic, I was getting a damn bubble tea. Five minutes later, I walked back in, and there was a line of three people, and the servers were back, behind the counter. The cashier was overly happy when she was serving me, which I don't know if she was mocking me, or trying to make up for the fact that she didn't serve me while she was stuffing her face with food. Whatever. I ordered the taro milk tea with boba. It was fantastic. But it wasn't worth the rude service (or lack there of) for boba tea that I can get at any other tea place in Boston. I understand that my review is in the minority, and people will continue to go here. That's fine. Just be warned that you might have to wait until the entire staff has finished eating, before you place an order.

I love bubble tea and use to drink it a lot when I lived in upstate New York. When I moved to the area I really began to miss it. Bubble tea was a weekly treat for me. I had a hard time finding good bubble tea in Boston which was a surprise since where I lived was a small town that didn't have anything worth while and Boston is a large city. Most places had mushy over cooked pearls or their tea did not taste good. I couldn't even find any in Chinatown. Lollicup is the closet thing I have found. They have many flavors and different sizes of pearls which is cool. They don't carry tangerine which was my favorite flavor back home but it's damn close. Best I have found in Boston so far.

  • Mary B.

Best milk tea, ever. Only place I would get milk tea. (sometimes with boba, sometimes with milk pudding.) I have tried TONS of other places and their milk tea, but nothing compares to Lollicup 's milk tea. It's DELICIOUS. I would drive 30-45 min just to get their milk tea. And I have done so in the past.

  • Mark M.

I am a huge fan of this place. Great bubble tea. I don't really like the price ($5.00 including tax for a large) but I guess when you compare to Starbucks it is on par. I always get the large Taro milk tea with the big boboa. It's not too sweet, not too watery and the boboa is cooked perfectly. I want to try other favors but you can't go wrong with Taro milk tea.

  • Lisa P.

I prefer Infusions Tea Spa's tea, and they're just a couple of blocks down the road, but this place is so convenient when I'm waiting for my food from the other vendors at Super 88. And to be honest, I'm not too picky with my milk tea- I have yet to encounter a coconut milk tea or an almond milk tea that I don't like. Sweet, caloric goodness, that's all I ask for. Imma gonna bump it up to 4 stars since the young people who work here (I'm making myself sound ancient, aren't I?) are always nice and friendly.

  • Thy L.

My biggest problems are probably the service and the price here. Although, I can get over the $ for a good drink, I don't like how most of these girls that work here look miserable. I sometimes try to talk to them, smile and say thank you, but to no avail. I don't get no smile back :(. On top of that, I find myself repeating my order very often. It goes a little like this... Me: "Can I have a large caramel milk tea with boba?" Lollicup Cashier (LC): "Taro milk tea?" Me: "Caramel Milk Tea" LC: "Do you want boba?" Me: "Uh. Yes, please." (Didn't I say that?) LC: "Regular or Large?" Me: "Uh. Large." (Didn't I already say this too?) Although I feel that I'm pretty clear, sometimes I get drinks with no boba or it's the wrong drink or size. It's not a deal breaker, just a little aggravating since I hate repeating myself. The owner's wicked nice though and a few of the drinks on the menu keeps me coming back since I can't get it anywhere else, at least not as well made anyway. I would come back more often if it didn't seem like such a chore to get my bubble tea fix from these girls though. Drinks I recommend: 1) Royal Milk Tea Slush, 2) Caramel Milk Tea, 3) Mango Slush, 4) Milk Tea with Milk Pudding - most people don't know the wonder of pudding there. Informed by the owner, the syrup and powder they use are 60% naturally concentrated. They do carry fresh watermelon, strawberry, mango, banana, avocado, pineapple, and papaya. DISCLAIMER: I, by no means, am saying that the drinks here are healthy/healthier than elsewhere, especially since I don't know what other bubble tea places use. It also doesn't mean that Lollicup uses 100% fresh ingredients for those particular drinks containing the real fruit they do carry. I'm pretty sure there is some artificial flavoring in all their drinks. Please do not come banging at my door if you start gaining tons of weight because you started a Lollicup bubble tea diet.

Refreshing and brilliant! Mango slush is my ish. Also mango or peach tea with boba! Service has always been efficient and moves swiftly. Damn it now I want one!

  • Allison R.

What's better than grabbing a bubble tea or a mysterious slushy milkshake on your way to work, the super 88, or anywhere, really? Absolutely nothing! One day, I found myself craving bubble tea even though I inherently think it's gross. Enter Lollicup and the coconut green tea with mega boba. Mini's an option too, but let's be serious. I was so intrigued and inspired by the untraditional menu options that, upon my next visit, I opted for the chocolate slush with eggnog pudding. I still don't understand exactly what I consumed, but it sure was gross and good as the chocolate melted. I'm also mystified by the machine that puts the plastic lids on the cups. I think I love this place, but a girl can only drink so much boba before getting sick, so I'll leave this place as a delightful, occasional treat.

  • EricaLynn J.

Just what I needed. An overly priced, way too syrupy, sugar overload bubble invasion in my mouth. Sorry, Lollicup. My mouth doesn't want your little sugared balls.

    (2)
  • Erica P.

I'll admit, Lollicup, at first I was turned off by your big black balls. However, I eventually learned to appreciate them, and even came to (gasp) love them! Boba takes some getting used to. From my experience, however, Lollicup makes the best. I've had bubble tea from other places where the Boba is dry and hard. I know it can't be easy to make, because a friend and I bought a pack once and tried to make it at home, and it came out looking and tasting like (what I imagine would be) dry rabbit turds. Lollicup Boba is always semi-sweet and chewy, just the way I like it! They make a great Thai iced tea. The milk teas are also very good, as is the Honey Green Tea. Give it a try. Don't let the balls intimidate you.

  • Joe K.

I always get the regular milk tea with mini bobas from here but sadly they don't accept credit cards here anymore. So now I just go to other shops that do, but on the off chance that I am carrying cash I do come here if I'm in the area.

    (4)
  • Evelyn L.

Bleh, good enough I guess if you're really craving boba. I'm from LA and these teas just don't compare to the ones back home. Sometimes the boba is one huge ball so you can't really drink it. Sometimes the tea is made well, sometimes it's watered down. It really depends on the day.

long time customer and never had a bad experience. great bubble tea and it seriously tastes better and different from everywhere else ive been. thumbs up only thing stopping it from a 5 star is i dont think they take credit card. which is ridiculous considering their drinks aint cheap! go to drinks are -mango slush -milk tea w boba -milk tea with milk pudding -peach snow

I don't come here for the bubble tea, I come for the Popcorn Chicken. takes me half an hour to walk to this joint from my dorm. It's THAT good. Try it next time you go, you won't regret it.

Slightly pricey for bubble tea. Beyond that, everything is delicious. Milk tea isn't too sweet, boba isn't too hard or too mushy, just right! Their mini boba is great too. I do recall having a coconut boba or a taro boba or something that wasn't a regular milk tea boba a few years ago though, and it was so cloyingly sweet I almost gagged. So beware of that. Although the fact that I can't remember what I got might be cause for doubt.

I wanted a bubble shake so bad. I was a fiend. It's like my crack. I just HAD to have one that Saturday afternoon despite the fact it was pretty darn cold outside. What I got was a sugary shot assaulting my palate that then catapulted the high fructose corn syrup into my veins. Thanks for the sugar buzz and then the nap inducing crash. Don't even get me started on the balls. I happen to love the balls. A lot. But their balls are the equivalent of old wrinkly balls. Do not like! Some of them were weird with white spots and/or were hard. Like half hard. It was weird and gross. I wound up throwing half of it away. Please, take me back to Chinatown where I can get a quality beverage made with actual fruit. I'm pretty sure they use "natural flavor" if they even make it on the premises.

I keep running into my former entrepreneurship students working here... Anyway, this stall at the 88 Food Connection is always insanely busy whenever I'm there, which is typically 9-10 pm at night. The drinks are simplistic syrup mixes, much like a modernized slush puppy, but it's an occasional guilty pleasure. I've never run into a case of getting soggy or not-fully-cooked pearls here. I tend to stick to green apple, Thai iced tea, and passionfruit drinks. For some reason, regular milk tea (in general, not specifically here) gets me sick. I don't like the mango as much, since it tends to be on the overly sweet side. The passionfruit is not as sweet, but still high on the spectrum. The green apple I prefer more since the tartness takes some of that effect away. Pricing is pretty high, being double that of places in Canada and $1-$1.50 more than places in Chinatown, but that is the only drawback. Service is generally fairly brisk considering the concentration of customers.

If it wasn't for such a wide variety, I would have only given this place 2 stars. I like the packaging, but that's only because I get to stab the plastic covering on top... The Thai Ice Tea here is really good though, but for the most part, the drinks you find here can be bought for cheaper and tastier in Chinatown or something. Meh.

  • Alex H.

Before I tried it myself, I was all "gross eww wtf black bubbles in mah drank" My view has changed. Certain beverages are WAAY better than others, if only I could remember all the names they have. Slush/Snow/Sleet, whatever just gimme the passion fruit thing with lots of boba. Drinks are pricey, costing $3ish for a small. Not cool :( Their spicy salt n pepper chicken is also tasty. Just a warning, the spiciest is PRETTTY spicy.

A good go to place when you want bubble tea. There's always a huge line, but if you're smart, you'll order it while you're waiting for your food (or before you order food). I call lollicup the 'mcdonald's' of boba tea, but it's not always true. The franchises are individually owned, some some locations are gawd awful while others are quite good. This particular location is alright. Nothing special, but not horrible either. **CASH ONLY**

I don't like Boba. Then why the hell am I giving Lollicup 5 stars?! A little known ingredient that they have is pudding. Mind you, I also don't like pudding on its own, but Lollicup milk tea with milk pudding = 5 stars! You just suck up the pudding chunks through the same big straw and it practically melts in your mouth. There isn't a Lollicup in DC and I have yet to find a Boba place that serves pudding, so I schlep out to Allston every time I'm in Boston just to get some pudding. I've had the same damn stamp card in my wallet (it's only valid at this location) for 3+ years, but I'm only 2 stamps (2 trips up to Boston?) away from my next free drink!

I love it here! Shhh... I think it is because there was secretly beef in my fried string beans. THEY WERE SO GOOD. I can't comprehend my draw towards them.. I.. so tasty. :3 I ended up paying quite a bit for my food+drink because I made everything big+special. Tehe.. next time, just going for those beanies and a regular drink with boba! :D For my drink, I had a sour plum slush with giant boba. :) It was alright, I think I will try a juice base next time.. and those beans.. round two8)

This place is conveniently located inside Super 88. They accept cards and make a killer Taro Milk Tea. I super dislike their mini boba but am IN LOVE with the mega(?) boba. I really wish their iced milk teas were colder but I guess its not TOO bad. They're really efficient, even when they have a line. And the staff is general cool.

i used to be a huge fan of lollicup...until I tried other boba milk tea to compare it to. From the number of times, I've visited and always ordering taro milk tea, I felt like the flavor of the milk tea itself wasn't consistent. There was one time where I wanted to throw it away after one sip because it tasted like paste. But there were times where it satisfied the boba tea craving. Service is OK. Wished the employees smiled more with a welcoming attitude. Sometimes I feel like they're miserable working there, rushing to get the orders done. Good location since its in 88 food connection. There's a private parking lot and if you want dessert after a meal there, you could go here. Not the best place to get a good, quality boba but it can satisfy those cravings.

  • Julia F.

I have been here a few times now, excited to find out that they have two different sizes of "bubbles" mega, and... Regular? Small? Who knows. Two different size straws, only the large straws are individually wrapped... So, irregardless of the size of my boba, I grab a big straw. The kids who work here are nice, efficient. But leave their own drinks around on the counter. Which seems a bit gross. I give them props for working in this strange setting and overlook the drinks.

  • Luke A.

Lollicup funny name, fun drinks, overpriced. For some milk, flavored powder, and ice blended together and then served in a plastic cup that is vacuum sealed, they charge you 4-5 bucks? without BOBA?! The reason i give this place 3 stars is because they have the best Taro smoothie in Boston. . . that isn't in Chinatown (where at least you know they use some fresh or canned fruit to make the drinks, not powdered flavored sugar crystals that are colored to the fruit it's pretending to be.) I wouldn't waste my money on the iced teas or the snacks they serve. . .that's just a little weird and way too overpriced for what it is the service is friendly enough i guess, assuming they dont get my order wrong or screw up my smoothie! gah! but yeah its a decent place to get a drink, but honestly its cheaper (and better) just to make this stuff at home!

    (3)
  • Lily H.

It's really out of my way but I make excuses to head that way to satisfy my bubble tea craving. It sure beats all the bubble tea places in Chinatown that I've tried. What's awesome is the location; you can have your choice of delicious Vietnamese, Chinese, or Korean food, etc along with your beverage.

Their taro tea is syrupy and slimy. Eewww. Update: I have recently purchased my own bubble tea powders and I realize it is the non-dairy creamer that makes it slimy. They apparently use the 3-in-one powders that not only contain the tea mix, but also WAY too much sugar (or glucose). There is WAY too much sugar in those mixes. I have a friend who bought a huge kit. She figured out how to cut the sugaryness by adding jasmine green tea. Obviously, the people at Lolicup are too lazy (or maybe they like it that way, though I can't imagine why). You are so much better off going to Boston Tea Stop where they use less sugary mixes, or better yet, to Dado Tea where they use the best powder I've ever tasted, and they sweeten themselves with sugar instead of glucose (what a concept) to taste. And instead of hydrogenated oil, they use (gasp) real cream, Yum!

I've definitely come here over a dozen times because it's right on my campus. My favorite drink is the lychee slush, which I've gotten probably the last 5 times! I think the prices here are a bit high however, which is why i'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. As a side not, I've only really gone to 3-4 places around my area for boba tea/slushies.

    (4)
  • Ashley F.

Addicted to the taro milk tea. For me it's a dessert more than a refreshing drink. Recently tried it with the mini boba, and i have to say i much prefer the larger!

Yeah yeah, Bubble Tea is so great -- even white people are catching onto it... I love it as much as the next guy, but dang! 3.50 for a small? F that, man! F that! In the Bay Area (where the price of living is even higher), at Tapioca Express (the ultimate bubble tea chain) the small is 2.75. I would love to start up my own shop and run these people out of town.

    (2)
  • Erika W.

I wish I could give Lollicup more than three stars because really, the quality of their bubble teas deserves more than three stars. They're hands down the best in Boston, especially the taro milk tea. The employees, however... well, if you're a white girl like me, don't expect to get much more than a blank stare when you ask a question about a drink. Provided you know what you want and order without so much as an "um", the service is fast and accurate Save your smiles for somewhere else, though. There isn't much in the way of "friendly" to be seen here.

I had to stop drinking bubble tea daily when I found out that these babies carry 400+ calories in every drink! Definitely should not consider it a 'drink,' it's more like a dessert. I used to love the Thai Iced tea but once I started getting the regular milk tea I realized that the Thai is actually very sweet! Every once in a while I try the other drinks like Snow (soft and smooth!) and Slush (for a hot day!). You can't go wrong with almost any flavor! But really, there's nothing NUTRITIOUS about these drinks. You're best off going to jamba juice =P

    (4)
  • Wang E.

Probably the best milktea slush I've ever had, plus the mini boba. YUMMY! Also love the spicy chicken to go on the side, it's so spicy, it makes you break a sweat, but when that happens, you have the milktea to cool you off. Love the lolli-card, get 10 stamps, get one free. OH yea, so awesome.

Jasmine Milk Tea is sooo good. I don't like a lot of the other drinks because they are powdered but this drink is worth going back to week after week! And of course with boba!

So many choices :D Who doesn't love bubble tea or slushies?!?!?!.. like I said, soooo many choices!!! I used to be addicted to the tapioca pearls but started fall in love with jellies :] Whichever choices you make, it's bound to be delicious!!!

Best bubble tea in Boston, but I like west coast style bubble tea more. This location is clean, not sketchy, and tasty. Most importantly, clean! Cleanliness is a giant factor in this equation.

  • Mina I.

Peppermint snow smoothie for only $3.25! Good deal and a nice beverage choice if you're having lunch at the liitle food court at the attached Super 88. I was happily surprised you still get the sealed lid on your smoothie so no spills! The staff at this location seems indifferent to customers but not really rude - thumbs up, as even though I love visiting the Lollicup in Quincy's Kanman they are pretty rude most the time.

    (3)
  • Sophia L.

i think they have rather good boba here. I've been here multiple times and haven't had to wait long as well as not having the boba be too hard or too soft like certain boba places. I'm really excited that in a month they will be having shaved ice!!

  • Meagan F.

I love bubble tea! I must admit that at first the idea of it really freaked me out, but I got over it and I am a bubble-freak. I've tried a lot of different places, and I think Lollicup, by far, is the best. They give you so many boba! Seriously, and that's the best part. Although Lollicup is a little pricey ($4 for a large w/boba) It's worth it. Try the passion fruit/green tea. It kind of astes like perfume, but I think it's awesome

3.5 stars. A decent place to satisfy your pearl milk tea craving without having to deal with parking and hassle in Chinatown. Inside the 88 food court so you can pick up other grub at the same time and there's parking. Bottom line: Pretty much a chain but it'll do.

    (3)
  • Iska B.

Bubble Tea is fun and tasty. Never had it before I went to Lollicup but it's good! Lots of flavors and while some people are complaining that the taste is artificial and overpriced, I haven't found anything better so far. Nice and sweet and fun and the boba on the bottom make it a totally unique and amusing experience. Nothing like squishy balls at the bottom of your drink! Be careful not to choke though... My favorite part is watching the machine put the plastic lid on the drink...I find this really funny.

  • Jenny N.

I only come here for the classic: black milk tea with bubbles because the powdered artificially colored flavors like taro and honeydew kind of weird me out...I know they probably taste fine (or even good), but I'm just going to stick to my standard for now. But for the rest of you bubble tea lovers who don't mind the powdered mixes, there is a large menu of flavors and additions (besides bubbles, you can also get jellies). Very convenient location within the Super 88 food court.

  • Lnc T.

My bf and I were obsessed with their thai tea shake for awhile. They have pretty good shakes, but we mainly go there for their popcorn chicken. Dont ask them to make the chicken super spicy because it'll start tasting like your eating out of a cayenne pepper bottle. Medium spicy popcorn chicken is the way to go! We used to drive all the way to boston just for this, crazy! Thats how good it is. Popcorn chicken is about $5.00

  • Susan D.

This place is pretty decent, especially due to the logistic convenience (inside the Super 88 mall). I love Taro milk tea (creamy, starchy) or try the passion fruit (more tea-like and slightly pungent in a pleasant way). And I just tried the Thai Ice tea with bubbles and everything was wonderful about it. They are definitely interesting and extremely different tastes on the pallet. Only minus is that for a large drink with boba, it was $4.65. Almost $5 bucks! geez, what asian place actually charges tax? usually it's included in the price... Don't forget your bubble tea punch cards! Buy 10 and get 1 free!

Oh so generic.. this place is not at all impressive. All it is is syrup syruppy syruppy diabetes. Teas taste real synthetic and fruit drinks are concentrate powder or some other crap. I really don't know. If I get a free drink from someone's stamped card then I am satisfied somewhat (sugarwise). Other than that 2 stars.. it's too generic and nothing is even natural. But look on the bright side there is cheap food in the food court this lollicup resides in.

Ok, Boba is awesome. It is like sucking yummy gummy bears through a giant straw. Fun and delicious. I got the mango flavor and it was awesome. Not too sugary, no fake aftertaste. It was great. They have a huge selection of flavors, I have haven't had any issues with lines, and they are CASH ONLY.

  • Michael G.

I personally prefer bubble tea from places like this, i.e., overtly clean, friendly, and part of a chain. There's something that really sketches me out about some of the places in Chinatown, so this is a nice offering. However, I have two complaints: 1) it's too freaking expensive and 2) they oftentimes don't have the salt and pepper chicken. If you've never had the chicken, then run, don't walk! It's something of a staple at these sorts of places (though not in Boston for some reason) and is an awesome Asian rendition of popcorn chicken. I personally love splurging occasionally on the tea and chicken combo, though the downside is they won't punch your card for the combo.

  • Marissa C.

Who doesn't love boba drinks? (Ok, admittedly a lot of people don't but I think they're weird, and they probably think I am too.) Lollicup has one of the biggest selections of bubble tea drinks I've ever seen! Snow, slush, regular old milk teas and a million and one flavors, you could probably spend your whole life and never try them all. The service is very friendly and you can tell they are working as fast as they can, but there is ALWAYS a line. During peak hours this line is very loooong, which is no surprise, everywhere else in Super 88 has a line too! Also, the drinks are rather expensive if you ask me, but that's supply and demand for you. There aren't *many* boba drink places in Boston and everyone wants one, so I guess their prices are a reflection of that. Still, you'd think they could cut the poor college kids a break and lower their price by $.50-$1.00...

  • Jasmine E.

I only tried one of their bubble teas and after having had a VERY bad, utterly atrocious, tongue numbing bubble tea from Tealuxe last week, this place made my day. I had the mango slushee and it was delish, the perfect mixture and taste. I will definitely go back and try the other flavors.

  • Matt W.

Let me say that I love boba (...sorry bubble tea) and wandered the streets of Monterey Park and the rest of LA in search of the cheapest and best spots for it. Coming from LA I always considered Lollicup to be the cheap/generic stuff that's made from powder. Everyone realizes most of these drinks are made from powder right? Anyway, Lollicup equals cheap in my mind which is why I was blown away the first time I went here and saw that a normal boba is over 4 bucks when I could get better quality for $1.50 in LA. Supply and demand I guess, but I have a hard time rating it high at this price, though it does taste as it should.

  • Ben L.

For quite some time my friends have mentioned Lollicup whenever I have mentioned bubble tea. So naturally I thought to myself "there must be something about Lollicup that really takes it up a notch" the problem is that this isn't really true. They have a very good selection of teas an slushes but that does not make them great. This is very true if you consider that you can easily spend $4 for bubble tea here. I had the honey milk tea with pearls and was pleased with both the flavor and the quality of the pearls. I was not a big fan of the lay out of the store. It looks like they could throw all of the key elements of the store into the pack of a car and drive off, and they possibly do. Also in one review there was a mention of clean. That wouldn't be the word that I use to describe taking a dirty towel wiping spilt bubble and the faucet in the ink all in one fell swoop. The straight-good consistent bubble tea What's good-variety of flavors/options. Boba quality. Proper lids. The slap-dirty towel, price.

  • J J.

I give this place a four star for quality of tea and plus 1 extra star for their consistency and the fairer price. The staff can speak English and understand your order perfectly. If something isn't right, they correct it before you walk away. I bought tea from Infusion Tea Spa down the street, and they are so inconsistent. They are also more expensive. Everytime I come to this Lollicup, I always get the same good quality of tea. Price is right. They are also nice. So there, 5 stars because life is not perfect and this is the best tea place for boba milk tea and green tea. Pudding too.

  • Sandra C.

This place is okay for tapioca drinks. They don't compare to the ones in Chinatown (on the 2nd floor of that food court), but they're very convenient right next to Super 88. It's a major hang out for asian college kids so expect a long line. This place does use powder though for its drinks and is pretty expensive. They don't offer mango milk tea, but will make it at additional cost if you ask for it. They also just added spicy chicken to their menu which is really really good!

    (4)
  • Allie L.

I've had the milk tea, Thai iced tea, chocolate milk tea and the taro milk tea. All have been delicious. Both the mini boba and the regular sized (they call it mega) boba are the perfect consistency. I think the prices are great and it's definitely worth going here! Also, unlike most of the places in Super 88, they take visa!

    (4)
  • John W.

located within the Super 88 food court, this is the most mediocre bubble tea spot in town. i can think of nothing positive or negative to say about it.

    (3)
  • So S.

Very commercialized and watered down! There is much better bubble tea in the city, including those that don't use powder like they do here. Can name a dozen of other places to go to that are better than this ie. starting w/ almost anywhere in chinatown! But given that, its still bubble tea and I drink this when I cant get to my other favorite places. I do like that fact that they have mini-boba. Check out Wisteria House (real tea with honey) or Dong Khan (real fruit..great Avocado shake) since the best boba tea place, "juice bar", closed in chinatown.

    (3)
  • Alyssa C.

This location is in the food court of Super 88. Hands down my favorite tapioca/bubble tea/pearl drink place. I could live on their milk tea tapioca. They have two sizes and you can get raindow tapioca. YUM!!

    (5)
  • Andrew L.

Lollicup definitely is one of the best, if not one of the only places to get bubble tea in Boston. It's may seem expensive, but I rather drink a bubble tea than a starbucks drink. I would recommend Thai Iced tea ( Don't be afraid because it's orange), Royal milk tea, Peach slush, and Green Tea Mocha.

    (5)
  • Jane T.

Honey Milk Tea. YUM. This location is in the Super 88 at Packard's Corner but there's also one right on Commonwealth Ave.

I agreed to give it a whirl after so coaxing from friends. And while, I believe them that the drinks are good, if you cant overcome the texture of them like me, it is just not a pleasant experience.

taro and thai ice tea are my fav 2 so far. the price is real high though... a cup of this almost costs more than a cheap meal. send out coupons then this place will get customers besides the rich BU kids.

I love bubble tea and was surprised as to how well received and accepted it is all over North America; people here seem to love this stuff as much as I do! So Lollicup is definitely a nice addition to the "beverage" scene in Boston. I usually stick with the original tapioca milk tea ($3.14) (if it's not broken; don't mess with it, right?) and Lollicup whips up a decent one. I am especially fond of the laminated lids which ensures a "spill-free" experience. And of course, nothing beats those chewy, bouncy bubbles which also presents a choking hazard if you're under 3 or over 65. Sometimes, I'll be in the mood for the taro milk tea tapioca; because I am those rare few who actually enjoy the powdered artificiality of the sweetly fake and fragrant taro flavour. Real taro, by the way, tastes nothing like that. However, I do feel that it's quite pricey to pay $3+ for a drink, and thus perceive a purchase at Lollicup to be somewhat of a treat.

    (3)
  • Christina D.

I think Lolicup is a great idea... bringing boba tea to the white man! If you have never had a boba tea, then find a Lolicup in your area and order a milk tea with tapioca pearls (regular size). Or if you are less adventurous a strawberry or watermelon shake with boba. Very good. They recently started accepting credit cards... a big plus!

    (4)
  • Janice T.

It's true. They make a mean boba tea here. The taro milk tea with mini boba is my favorite and the hubs really likes the Thai tea slush with mega boba. Order some before you go shopping at the Super 88. And don't forget: it's cash only.

Located inside the Super 88 Food court in Arlington. This place has got Beverages from the Gods. Frosty cold drinks to make you happy! Just had the Taro Milk tea for the first time very yummy. I also recommend the Melon Tea And Apple Tea. Indoor seating is abundant. The Food court is also Wheelchair Friendly. I girl at the counter is very cute and helpful.

    (4)

  • Jasmin C.

  • Charles W.

    (4)

Cash only.

There will probably be an updated review in the near future.

located within the Super 88 food court, this is the most mediocre bubble tea spot in town. i can think of nothing positive or negative to say about it.

This location is in the food court of Super 88. Hands down my favorite tapioca/bubble tea/pearl drink place. I could live on their milk tea tapioca. They have two sizes and you can get raindow tapioca. YUM!!

  • Yara F.

Ordered an unsweetened milk tea, I've never had such kind of disgusting drink in my life, it totally tastes like sugar + water.

  • Elisha T.

I ordered a Boba milk tea and the boba was a medium size and medium chewy soft. Overall I think it's a typical taste you get from a boba place.

This place is not too far from my apartment, and apparently I come her so often I don't always have to give my name. :D My favourite flavour is taro and honeydew slush mixed together. Yum!

Gross. All I tasted was milk in my tea and a synthetic sweet flavor.

  • Diva K.

I ordered a Honeydew Soy Milk with bubba to go with my bulgogi meal, and I like it. I had no idea what I wanted to order, but I chose this drink because green is most favorite color, so honeydew it was.

  • Richard T.

  • Ariana Z.

    (5)

    (3)
  • ken t.

long time customer and never had a bad experience. great bubble tea and it seriously tastes better and different from everywhere else ive been. thumbs up only thing stopping it from a 5 star is i dont think they take credit card. which is ridiculous considering their drinks aint cheap! go to drinks are -mango slush -milk tea w boba -milk tea with milk pudding -peach snow

  • Shuang C.

I don't come here for the bubble tea, I come for the Popcorn Chicken. takes me half an hour to walk to this joint from my dorm. It's THAT good. Try it next time you go, you won't regret it.

    (4)
  • August G.

  • Nicole E.

  • Dennis L.

    (3)
  • Jackie C.

The drinks are overpriced for being made out of syrup... Other places make similar drinks with syrup for almost half the price. For quality and price, you can definitely get more at other boba places. Not worth going to if you're going to the 88 food court specifically for bubble tea.

    (2)
  • Julie T.

Meh.

    (3)

  • Cyn C.

    (3)
  • Dian C.

    (5)
  • Susan K.

i used to be a huge fan of lollicup...until I tried other boba milk tea to compare it to.

    (3)

    (3)

  • greta C.

    (1)
  • Mimi W.

Is anything real here? All syrup and no fun. No thanks.

Peppermint snow smoothie for only $3.25! Good deal and a nice beverage choice if you're having lunch at the liitle food court at the attached Super 88. I was happily surprised you still get the sealed lid on your smoothie so no spills! The staff at this location seems indifferent to customers but not really rude - thumbs up, as even though I love visiting the Lollicup in Quincy's Kanman they are pretty rude most the time.

i think they have rather good boba here. I've been here multiple times and haven't had to wait long as well as not having the boba be too hard or too soft like certain boba places. I'm really excited that in a month they will be having shaved ice!!

I only tried one of their bubble teas and after having had a VERY bad, utterly atrocious, tongue numbing bubble tea from Tealuxe last week, this place made my day. I had the mango slushee and it was delish, the perfect mixture and taste. I will definitely go back and try the other flavors.

I need a Lollicup in DC!!!! Lollicup has the best selection of bubble teas.

  • Be B.

    (1)
  • Jenny G.

    (5)

    (2)
  • Kelly C.

Fun! I am sad there isn't one closer to me. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but very tasty. Almond snow with mini boba, a little overwhelmed with all the choices on my first visit, but I'd love to try the jellys and creams.

  • Angie G.

:) It was alright, I think I will try a juice base next time.. and those beans.. round two8)

  • Cris L.

  • Stephanie G.

  • Nicky F.
