I've only been twice hence the 4 stars, but each time I've been reallllly happy with my order, Hawaiian pizza and a Greek salad. So good. The 4 stars is also because I think it's a bit pricy for pizza, but hey I'm from NYC, home of the $1 slice....

I don't consider myself a picky pizza person, but I just got delivery from Emilio's for the first time figuring I'd try some place new and it was honestly the worst pie I think I've ever had. I can't believe I just paid $18 for something that tasted worse than a Mama Celeste frozen pizza! I will say the delivery came quick (although I live 2 blocks from the place) but from the second the guy handed the box over, I could feel the grease seeping through the bottom of the cardboard. The pizza itself was incredibly greasy, soggy, and the cheese didn't even stay on the pizza while trying to eat it! Cross this one of the list for pizza in this neighborhood for sure!

This will be a short review because I think one should say the following about Emilio's: Cheesy goodness, sizeable salad, mouth watering, deliciously meaty sandwich having son of a gun! Woooo I would say the only challenge is the guys can be overwhelmed at times (I could have walked out with the slices of pepperoni & sausage pizzas (the ones I tried to purchase from Rome Pizza) but that's not mi style).

Ordered pizza for take out Sat. nite. BF wanted somethng with a good crust. After checking reviews, this place came up. We tried it. The crust is fantastic! it is soo good. Its the prefect texture, soft but crunchy, yum yum ( i like to dip mine in ranch dressing! The garlic bread with cheese was ok, nothing too fancy. I personally didn't really enjoy it. I would def order from here again, prices pretty good as well.

I've had nothing but fantastic, friendly service and consistently decent food from Emilio's. The pizza is still in the ever present Greek style with a thick, doughy crust, marinara for sauce and plenty of cheese. Unlike other places, the pizza by the slice never seems to have been sitting for hours and is rarely under or over cooked. The salads are fresh and generous. The subs are precisely what you'd expect and chicken fingers surprisingly addictive, but then, they are chicken fingers. I've been in both before and after nights out as well as after (a lot of) day drinking. I've been in by myself, with girl friends, the boyfriend, and a gaggle of gays. (This place gets crowwwwDed! after the Pride Parade Block Party outside Fritz. And while the staff is nice, the lady your friend was just dancing on top of a speaker with might call you hobos while you sit on the curb and enjoy your slice since all the other seats are taken.) I've never once had anything but friendly service. They've even thrown an extra slice my way from time to time.

I live right around the corner from Emilios so I am there at least 3 times a week..This place has gone downhill so much. when I order take out I get home and the sub are not what I ordered and sometimes burned and dont realize it until I get home. I do call on occasion for them to deliver the correct item..There are a new guys there that sometimes seem very confused..I am going to go elsewhere for a while,, However there are guys there that have been there for years and are cool they know what they are doing

Drunk in the South End? Need a pizza? Here's your place. I can't speak for much besides the pies, which feature delicious gooey cheese. But, I can tell you that the pizzas are damn good (the crust a bit dry is a fair complaint, but really, not that bad). The staff is friendly, speedy and eager to please. In fact, if you sit and wait for your pie, they are pretty entertaining. (I do hear the ladies room in the basement is a bit sketchy, so avoid those if you can ladies)

  • Steve S.

Kind of torn about this review...was drinking at Tremont647 and perhaps had too much to consume. I was hungry yet in my diminished mental capacity remembered the pizza as being not good Kind of reminded me of the microwave slices at Store 24

    (2)
  • Gary G.

Dependable, convenient, inexpensive. No pretense. Just good pizza, italian subs and dinners, tips, seafood dinners. Where else can you also get cannoli, rice pudding, gyros, and beef stew also? No place for a nice dinner. This is pretty eclectic mix of customers, and is absolutely off the radar for the upscale and weight conscious folks in the southend. But if your'e going to the theatre and are hungry and dont want adjacent upscale dining, this is it.

  • Dave L.

I order from here so much, I figured I ought to post a review. I love their Anchovy Pizza (well done). And their salads are very fresh. I usually stick to pizza and salads from here. I have it delivered about twice a week or more... They are consistently prompt.

    (4)
  • Melissa C.

This pizza is not good. The crust tastes and feels like rubber. The sauce is bland. It's not even like good greasy, floppy drunk pizza. I'd probably go 1 or 2 stars on this joint, BUT... *Fresh ingredients. *CHEAP *Only an $8 minimum *Delivers until 1 AM every day (will go up to the Beacon Hill area, might get a little lost, but they'll get there).

    (3)
  • Mon R.

One of the best italian subs around. Quick, quality service.

    (3)
  • Dan G.

We get Emilio's at work sometimes and it has been pretty good. I mean it tastes like typical pizza, but I havent had a problem with it. I have never been inside so this is only a delivery review.

    (3)
  • Will N.

For late night, last minute grub, this place is one of the better choices around. However, the pizza is horrible. Stick to the sandwiches and you'd be better off. Since it is in the South End, don't expect parking.

    (3)
  • John T.

I always felt this place was consistent with timing and delivery more so than the quality of the food. The pizza is pretty decent and I don't think its that expensive for what you get. If you're hungry and want something fast then this place works just fine.

  • Deepa C.

My friend and I stopped in when we needed to get out of the heat but didn't want to spend a ton on table service and a whole meal. We ended up splitting a slice here and it hit the spot. I did like that you can get a slice with whatever topppings you wanted, but didn't like that they obvioulsy underbaked a whole pizza, added some toppings and cheese to a slice and then threw it back in to heat up. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. The pizza was ok, nothing special. It has a Pizza Hut -esque crust rather than the think cripsy crust towards which I usually gravitate, but I like that you can still get a cheap slice in the South End and not have to pay $7. The service here was superb, very friendly and outgoing.

    (3)
  • Dan H.

I've got their number in my cell phone, what better compliment can I give? Perfectly cooked pizza and good selection of toppings, plus their large calzones could feed 4 people! The hot subs are always popular but I stick with what I know. Also a surprisingly good select of cold drinks, for a pizza place.

    (5)
  • Li S.

I just felt like Yelping because I love the crust in Emilio's pizza... It's sweet, soft, a little underdone and just... reminiscent of a more savory pastry bread. It makes for great re-heating at home. They don't do overkill on the cheese or sauce, but both have good flavor. The slices are sort of small, too. I've also had their turkey subs, which were made fresh and quickly. They put everything I asked for and in good quantity (and I'm from Philly, where we do NOT mess around with hoagies/sandwiches/subs. You skimp me on fixin's and our families fued for the next two centuries.) They have a good juice selection so it's just one of those quick places to pop in where everybody can get fed wih little complaint. And yeah, the guy working the register did wink and flirt. I think he's just trying to be nice because that day it was raining and snowing and I looked like a wet dog... so in that context, it was sort of... sweet.

Is it just me.. or did the Emilio's delivery guy never want to get out of his car? When I was in the South End I lived in a building with a security guard.. so maybe that turned him off of trying to get in or something.. but seriously. They would never get out of the car and they would basically call you when they were still 5 minutes away. I'd always have to get dressed up and wait outside my building for them.. which normally would be fine.. but isn't delivery part of being lazy? Let me be lazy Emilio's delivery guy! So on to the food.. calzones.. chicken parm.. pizza.. all pretty good. You get what you pay for. It's not the best in the world, but after a couple beers at JJ Foley's, the food gently coats your stomach as you go off to beddy bye land for those trippy dreams that often accompany beer and "fast" food. I think I woke up once calling out Emilio's.. Adrian-Rocky-style.

    (3)
  • Beth E.

If you're ever looking for me around lunchtime the day after an elite event, try Emilio's. It's not the place to eat everyday, but on those days when you were out the night before, and you're looking for something warm and gooey and hearty, subs from Emilio's hit the spot.

    (3)
  • Lauren B.

Good if you are desperate for greasy food late at night. The food is s typical diner-style Greek-- usually bad, but sufficiently oily so that the average Bostonian wouldn't notice.

    (2)
  • Kirs P.

This is okay pizza. The price is generally good and the delivery service is pretty dependable. I just can't get excited about this place. I ordered pizza from here this week just to change it up (I usually go with crazy doughs or pizza pie-er) and was kinda disappointed. The pizza was wicked salty- I didn't even want my usual morning after breakfast slice. I think the leftovers are still in my fridge. But, for okay pizza for okay prices you can't really go wrong.

    (3)
  • Arestia R.

Emilio's hits the spot. Good salads, good pizza, good selection. It's all good! The guys that work here are super friendly, too and that makes all the difference. I can joke with them and they'll dish it right back and it makes me happy. Neighborhood places should feel like it! Thanks Emilio's for making you my go-to South End pizza place when I want to pick up a pie.

    (3)
  • Sarah A.

Emilio's is so quality. The pizza is great. The french fries are great. You can even get fried dough here now! Yum. Their salads are delicious as well, but are a bit pricey. A chef salad is almost $8 (!!!). However, it is a big salad and you get a delicious piece of warmed pita bread with it. I would give them 5 stars but I am subtracting a star for the prices of their salads. The pizza is priced very reasonably, however. If anyone remembers Rossini's (RIP) on Washington Avenue, Emilio's salads are about the same size, but much more expensive. I like the new outdoor seating they've put in place at Emilio's too. Nice for an outdoor lunch.

    (4)
  • Linh V.

Another pizza joint, nothing special. The pizza taste bland and the seafood platter tasted noting like seafood. The subs are decent though. Overall, if you're looking for a quick bite, this is the place to go. Otherwise, I would invest my money somewhere else

    (1)
  • Sean P.

Had the pizza delivered to my hotel room at 11pm on a Friday night. Delivery was about a thirty minute wait. Pizza was just ok, but it worked in a pinch. Crust is slightly doughy, so ask for well done. Cheese is good with a hint of garlic.

    (2)
  • Liz C.

Yummy, greasy, cheesy, cheap, open late and quick. What more can you want? If you're doing a night out in the South End skip the crazy expensive pretentious dinner and eat here. Then continue your night of drinks and music at any one of the many great bars in the area. You'll have more money for the fun stuff and honestly the meal will be just as good.

    (4)
  • Aaron B.

Very good chocolate cake and carrot cake but this is seriously the worst italian take out food I have ever eaten! I ordered chic parmesean dinner and they sent me two circular chic patties like the ones from high school, smothered in cheese and set over a load of fried onion rings! No pasta, no red sauce! Is that a joke?!

    (1)
  • Seth T.

Not everything here is equally good, but the steak tip calzone is excellent and so are the gyros. The steak tips are decidedly better quality than your average pizza/sub place.

    (4)
  • Jess K.

The food here is solid but definitely not of the highest quality. It is delicious when you are starving/drunk/in the mood for greasiness. I still feel a little queasy when I think about eating an entire large order of mozzarella sticks from here. Oh my. This reminds me of typical college food, which is sometimes exactly what you are craving!

    (3)
  • Bryanne R.

Pretty decent subs and salads. Inexpensive too! The guys are super friendly - we got free onion rings! And I also got an offer from one of the guys - "I'll put a ring on your finger" Yea. Not sure how I feel about that one...

    (4)
  • Doug T.

I used to live right around the corner, so my roommates and I would be in there at least twice a week. Everything is good. No complaints. They make a great wing ding. The pizza is just okay...definitely not their specialty. I usually went with chicken parm or chicken cutlet. Their salads are pretty fresh.

    (3)
  • Robert G.

You can literally order from this place at anytime of the night and have it delivered to your house within 10 minutes. It is amazing! The food is typical fast-food pizza and calzones - not bad, just a little greasy. Really big portions (especially on the calzones) and really nice employees. This is an awesome place to stop by on your way home from a night out - they are open late and serve just the type of food you want after a night of drinking.

    (4)
  • J B.

I'm not a "greek style" pizza lover, so I'm not a huge fan of Emilo's. I'd rather go across the street to Picco and buy a pie for twice the price, 'cause I like their dough better. But Emilio's is a convenient spot to get a quick bite, and yes, they deliver!

    (2)
  • Katia M.

I really like Emilio's for those hung over days when I don't feel like making food. The pasta marinara is good, but make sure you ask for extra sauce. I don't think they charge you, and trust me, you'll need it. Also, specify if you want melted mozzarella on the pasta. I don't, so I make sure to say so. Comes with garlic bread that's pretty damn good ... although I try to resist its gooey, tangy charms. The counter is sort of confusing. Do I pay? When? How do they know I took a drink? Etc. But the guys at the counter are always really nice, and I always leave happy. Also, whenever they tell me "10 minutes" I invariably end up waiting in the store, but the TV's on, so pull up a chair and zone out. Or just come a little later than you think you need to. Either way.

    (4)
  • Captain H.

I still love Emilio's, no matter how many times I almost get run over by the Emilio's Van. I don't think the food is anything to write home about, but it's a great alternative to all the other places in the South End. The food is cheap, tasty, and they'll have your food in 5 minutes. I think the Gyros are delicious, except when they add too many raw onions and then I have to pick them all out. But they have pizza slices and tables outside. What more could you want?

    (4)
  • Michael G.

I ordered in person in the store, and they were super fast with preparing my order. However, my gripes are: the pastrami in my sub was overcooked and far too difficult to bite into and the pickles they added were chopped into little pieces (I hate that). However, my sub was decent overall, and I would definitely go back to this place to eat. Plus, the price really wasn't too bad, considering the size of the sandwich. In fact, I may return tomorrow, since I'll be in the area again.

    (4)
  • Lacey P.

This is good pizza, and they deliver. Just a pizza shop, but in the increasing she-she ness of the South End, this place is still around, and good for a cheap slice. Regular people and regular food, which is refreshing in these parts.

    (4)
  • Jeffrey W.

I think they have the best dough in Boston. It's inexpensive (two cheese pizzas for $13) and they're fast. You could go across the street and get a "gourmet" pizza for twice as much that's half as good, or you could grab a drink out of the fridge at Emilio's and enjoy the best crust in town.

    (4)
  • Kelly C.

I had a grilled chicken salad, with feta and greek dressing. It was good. Nothing amazing, but solid.

    (3)
  • D S.

Wow. Keep trying this place. Stupid me. Was a really great place 12 yrs ago. Each year gets worse and worse. It's starts with ordering - rude. Food - lucky if they get the order right. When you do actually get the right order...it's so so. Not the best place to order from. Might be passable if it was half the price with better service.

    (1)
  • Alissa D.

I ordered takeout on a Tuesday evening while working late and was very pleased with the experience. They delivered to the lobby of my office, called me when they arrived, and were very prompt. I ordered a Caesar salad and a Greek salad and was impressed with what they delivered. Both salads were generously portioned and were fresh. My only complaint is that they do not offer Greek dressing for their Greek salad (seems odd).

    (4)
  • Andrew T.

Seems pretty dirty in there, staff isn't at all friendly, food is usually gross.

    (1)
  • Liri K.

There is a major problem in the South End: no food delivery! Back when I lived in Brookline I had a drawer full of delivery menus... Here, when I want to order in, it ends up being Pizza. Emilio's Pizza has an OK pizza, not more. I once picked up pasta from there and it was an absolute disaster, so don't be adventurous... Stick to pizza (though others say subs are good). One last thing, delivery guy won't bother finding parking and coming up, you'll have to go downstairs to get your pie.

    (2)
  • Matthew A.

I am not a fan of Emilo's. Overrated, this S. End eatery has much to be desired in terms of good food, atmosphere, and service. The staff are not friendly. Almost curt, and rushing the customer. Sorry, doughboy, I am not in a hurry! The pizza and calzones are just okay, however I can tell they just threw it together with no care. This is downtown Boston. There are so many better pizza joints SO CLOSE and within walking distance. Go there! (Yelp can help you !)

    (2)
  • Jason M.

If your last call at The Eagle didn't pay off in dividends, you can at least end you night with a decent slice of pizza. Three stars for being decent food. Bonus star for being so damn close to the Eagle. It makes me think of Jack's melodious voice (that and the nice outdoor seating).

    (4)
  • Meredith M.

Delicious. A great place to grab a cheap but YUMMY greasy bite before a show at the BCA. We just got a delicious chicken and olive pizza and 3 beverages for 20$. And it was like there were 4 orders of CHICKEN PAHM on top of the pizza. So yummmmmmy. Go there.

    (4)
  • Jack L.

The front of this pizza place looks enticing, but the 2 times I have ordered pizza there it has been terrible.!! I want to like this place but the service was not there and the dough was terrible.....I will try something another time there other than pizza and see how it is..

    (2)
  • G L.

Hey Emilio, guess what? Macaroni Salad is not one cup of cooked macaroni to one cubic liter of off-brand mayonnaise. Typically one would add celery, peppers, onions...even Tuna Fish. To my dismay you decided to add apathy to your $3 side. 2 slices of cheese pizza were boiling hot and serviceable to the pallete, but the 10 or so forkfulls of egg-white, salt and fat sloshing around in my guts kept me from finishing. 2 stars for having nice outdoor seating.

    (2)
  • Stephanie O.

Hands down the best cheese pizza I've had. Seriously. Living far away from this place, I dream about their pizza. They have pizzas, bagged chips, and drinks, but aside from that, they had other items added to the menu, written on pieces of paper and taped to the wall, such as cannoli, curry, and Thai soups. Nice place for a late-night pizza, only a short (5 minute) walk from the 40 Berkeley hostel. The locals seemed to have this figured out, since I saw groups of drunken youngsters rolling in and out of the place for a quick bite between hopping the bars in the neighborhood.

    (5)
  • Aimée I.

HORRIBLE! Absolutely no respect for the customer. I ordered from this place and made a special note (which came with the receipt) saying that I couldn't eat fried food. Since the menu didn't specify how the fish was fixed I asked for it to be anything but fried. They delivered without napkins and basic utensils, the delivery guy was lost and THE FISH FRIED. I asked for a refund since my health doesn't allow me to eat it. They were super rude and hang up on the Grubhub's representative. I am thankful that the Grubhub team refunded me partially. Thanks for ruining you customer's night! Be honest the next time and return the money when you do something wrong.

    (1)
  • Samita S.

Get Emilio's Strictly for their cheese pizza - it's BOMB and very affordable! They're onion rings are suprisnfly amazing as well.

    (4)
  • Steven R.

Id say 3 stars sums it up pretty nicely. It's not amazing, and it's definitely not bad. You get some pizza and it doesn't cost you a ton. Not sure if I'd go back though based on how long it took to come out with a small pizza. If ur in the neighborhood though and hungry, you could do a lot worse than here.

    (3)
  • K. Brooke Z.

I've got to say - Emilio's has the best slice of cheese pizza in Boston. It's just sturdy enough you wont have the slice flop on your hand or shirt while eating. The crust doesn't take up half the slice either! Just the edge buts like it should. You can add any toppings to it to before they re-fire the slice up in the oven. While the price by slice is great, the other prices are there to remind you you're in the South End. The basic salads will cost you over 8 or 9. Subs around that range as well.

  • David G.

So I was visiting and asked for delivery to my hotel room. An hour later the driver asked me to come downstairs and I told him I couldn't. He proceeded to swear at me and told me if I want my food to meet him outside. He was rude and I will NEVER order from here again and making sure all people I know also don't!

    (1)
  • Kessia P.

Had the onion rings from there it was too overcooked and the chicken tenders were not well done but so far they okay.

    (3)
  • Ngan T.

I would never order takeout from here judging from the three arguments I heard just sitting here and waiting for my own order. They can't seem to agree on any detail. +one star for leaving animal planet on because it amuses my drunken sense of humor. The chicken fingers came out fast. Yummy and crispy. Cheesecake had the texture of american cheese with slight cheesecake flavoring. Tables are messy. Was not wiped down the entire time I was there. Good for drunk hunger pangs

    (3)
  • Clark G.

didn't need anymore food today as I had already consumed blueberry pancakes, coffee, burrito, water, couple whiskeys, a beer, bowl of chili, cornbread and a hot dog. walked by, walked in saw they had chicken cutlet and glutony continues the other half is still sittin on the table as I'm stuffed watchin king of queens on youtube ready to fall out sub was ok as the chicken was in pieces rather than a pounded down breast which was still ok I guess I don't know I can't breathe

    (3)
  • Lindsey M.

Awesome slice of cheese pizza after a night out! Still very open at 12:30pm. Friendly staff and lots of seating!

    (5)
  • Heather F.

Great food - cheese pizza and eggplant parm!! There was a miscommunication when ordering and after I called they came back and fixed it! Great service, polite delivery guy.....definitely a great find!!

    (5)
  • Stella D.

This will not become our go-to spot for pizza. The cheese was thick and rubbery on a very chewy crust. The pepperoni and sausage were thrown on a cheese slice and somewhat reheated.

    (1)
  • Mimi T.

Emilio's made my night! My boyfriend and I had just checked into our hotel, late because the train was delayed and there were some unforeseen check-in problems. It was too late to go out to eat, so we got delivery from Emilio's. I got a small Hawaiian pizza and Pat got a large chicken parmesan calzone. Large is a bit of a under statement, it was HUGE! And everything was delicious. Just what we needed after our crazy trip. We already decided we want a calzone for our train ride back to NYC on saturday. Fast delivery, good portions, tasty food? That works for me :)

    (5)
  • Scott T.

Very disappointed got a steak tips sub the tips were less than an inch wide dog kibble more like it didn't taste much better in every third piece was grizzled fat. The floor was a mess the tables were covered with debris and this is at 7 o'clock at night not lunch hour rush. Will not be going back.

    (2)
  • Beantown T.

Southend's finest. I like to mop up the oil a bit with a napkin then dig in. Yummy

    (4)
  • Suji R.

I got a slice of cheese pizza here. It was very cheap and tasty! It can be a bit crowed in there. Overall, great pizza!

    (4)
  • Fay F.

Great food. The pizza is phenomenal. Delivery is very fast. They are also inexpensive. Definitely will order from here a lot more!! So glad I saw the advertisement on their delivery van one day and decided to order from them.

    (5)
  • Bret S.

What a dump. The service was extremely rude and the food was awful. Avoid this place

    (1)
  • Annie B.

I don't know why they only have three stars. I've lived here for years and been coming here for years. Great pizza joint! Maybe it's because people around here are expecting gourmet since it's in a fancy trendy neighborhood. It's a corner pizza shop! Yummy fresh pizza. Get that and you'll be pleased.

    (5)
  • Lulu A.

Place has bad reviews but I certainly do love it. My fave is the chicken finger sub - perfect chicken patties & I add hot sauce to make it buffalo style. Delivery time is pretty quick and when I order while there they whip it up quickly as well. Bravo Emilio's you are this Buffalo girls fave for chicken finger subs.

    (5)
  • Gregory G.

Order takeout from here often and the food is always good. Enjoy the pizza, calzone, and fries. Always seems busy but never have to wait more than a few minutes to get my food. Not a lot of room to sit and eat but they do have a few tables and a couple tables outside during the warmer months. Highly recommend especially for some late night food.

    (4)
  • Vic M.

Expensive but nice salad, however next time when they charge extra for cheese they should actually put it on the salad. Check your takeout before you leave the store friends, or better yet go elsewhere.

    (1)
  • Steven E.

Tonight I ordered delivery from Emilio's and it came 25 min later - amazingly fast! I love their pizza and the staff are always really nice.

    (5)
  • Benjamin L.

The pizza is typical greasy and thick crust, good if you like it that way and I do sometimes. The cheese fry's are pretty minimal for 4 bucks, but paying with credit card is super easy. One of the better cheap places that delivers in the back bay.

    (3)
  • Diane B.

Great neighborhood pizza spot. Good food, a pleasant casual feel, and BiG servings. Personally, I like the Calzone with Italian sausage, mushrooms & grilled eggplant, with a cannoli as a finisher. Crisp crust; good flavor; nice sauce to dip it in; just the right amount if garlic. Mmmmmm! In the summertime I sit out on the sidewalk tables. Winters, I phone the order in and take it home.

    (4)
  • Eric F.

Not bad at all. Emilio's offers a handful of special offers and my friends and I got a great deal for two large pizzas at $17.50 total. There's good balance between the crust and cheese - not overly greasy and fresh overall. The sausage we added onto one of the pies wasn't the usual Italian variety as the pieces basically resembled brown pepperoni without the same salty, cured flavor.

    (3)
  • Bob J.

I read the reviews before I stopped by for lunch. Thinking 4 stars was pretty good I decided to give it a shot. I walked in and was asked in a YELLING voice what I wanted. After looking over the menu I decided to order the chicken parm sandwich. A previous reviewer wrote the chicken was like a bad piece of rubber. I don't know why I didn't take this more serious because THE CHICKEN WAS AWFUL! It tasted like a frozen piece of chicken from the frozen food section at your local 24 hour convenience store. I would rather order an Italian Sandwich at Burger King than eat another chicken park sandwich here. The place was busy so maybe I ordered the wrong item on the menu, but I'm not willing to give it another try. I won't believe the hype behind the 4 stars.

The food is not very satisfying, fake rubber chicken and the don't even try to put the together properly, just pile things on don't hey all fall off/out. They rush through everything and the quality shows it. The service isn't bad, but I've been a few times and never left content.

I actually like this place a lot. Don't expect some glamorous, gourmet meal, but the food is usually pretty good. The guys behind the counter are sometimes a little gruff, but generally they're pleasant enough. I'll keep coming here.

Had a small pizza delivered to my hotel a few blocks away. Took about 20-25 minutes to arrive. Driver was very friendly. Pizza was salty, greasy, and cold. Price point was decent, but I probably won't be ordering from here again.

I have only eaten their subs, but they are DELICIOUS! You get a huge sub sandwich for $7 and add as many toppings as you want. My personal favorite is the roast beef, i have never been disappointed, i order from them very often. Super fast delivery under 30 minutes and they are always nice. I can get a sandwich and a drink with delivery for under $10. Best sandwich spot in town.

Hole in the wall... not too clean, and the food is ok. Inexpensive eats in southie, in particular if you are in a hurry. Not a place I'm coming back for food, but they were nice and my slice was prompt and ok pizza.

Obsessed. All the salads are ginormous, fresh and delicious. The meatballs subs if I'm feeling naughty are a delicious indulgence. Everyone behind the counter is friendly, funny, professional and polite. The delivery is insanely fast, usually a half hour or less. The South End is lucky to have such a yummy "go to".

I've been to Emilio's twice - both times were after a Girls' Night Out event across the street at the Cyclorama (Boston Center for the Arts). So granted, I've been tipsy (ok, slightly drunk) both times and that could result in the pizza being awesome, but I'll take it! When we went last night, I said I remembered it being REALLY good. Considering the last time I ate there was about 4 years ago, that's saying something. Last night we opted for slices - I got 2 slices with green pepper & onions (I think it came out to about $6.50??). When I got the 2 slices (each on their own paper plate - somewhat of a waste...), I immediately said "this looks so good!" And it did. The cheese was perfectly cooked and the crust (and cheese) had a nice brown to it. The veggies were definitely added on top after the pizza was baked and were all clumped in the middle, but there were a lot of them. I wish I'd "degreased" before I put on the garlic powder & crushed red pepper, because there was a good amount of grease. On first bite, the taste lived up to the view. This pizza is tasty!! Have I had better? Yes. But I've definitely had worse - much worse. And for $2 a slice? This is fantastic!! If I lived closer, I'd probably order from them. But chances are, I'll only be back after future Girls' Nights. Which is a shame, as their pizza is delicious and their subs look good!

I'm paleo, so I can't really say much about their consistency over time since I've eaten here exactly once. The pie I had was cooked well, filled with yummy toppings, and was absolutely worth the hit to my nutrition. As soon as I have another slice, I'll be going back here.

This place has become more disappointing. I used to recommend Emilios to coworkers and friends for their steak bombs and fries. But no longer. I swung by a couple days ago with a friend and ordered a couple subs. I had a steak bomb he had a steak and egg. We ordered fries as well. My sub was gross. Half the meat that my friends sub had and five times the amount of grease. The fries are no longer shoe string.... they were fairly standard. The place was filthy. The big tv was on but playing distorted images. If you want a bomb go to Billy's. Even Rome up the street does a better job these days.

I walk past this place every day to and from work. At night when it is closed, there is no orderliness. The chairs are pulled away from the tables and there are crumbs on the tables. So I told myself I would never go. Then, today happened. I was in the mood for pizza or pasta and wanted something fast so I thought why not. The two stars I gave above are for the low price - which clearly shows you get what you pay for. I ordered the baked ziti with marinara and veggies. I waited about 15 minutes for my order. I noticed they were baking it in the oven which was great and I figured would be worth the wait. I got back to the office after a 5 min walk and my bag was dripping with tomato water and had totally saturated the cardboard they put under it. Inside was a half-assed versions of garlic bread and my ziti. The "marinara sauce" is effectively canned tomatoes which explains the watery spill. Basically, I am eating pasta in water with chunks of tomato. The cheese is good, It is ok to just be the place with greasy pizza and nothing more, and they should take note. My gut was right. If you have prime real estate retail windows on Tremont and you don't straighten up at closing, you probably don't put the most thought in your food either.

Between and after performing at the BCA, I love to hit up this place. Their delicious pizza makes my performer self happy, and is always a cheap and quick choice. Perhaps not the healthiest, since they're menu is packed with delicious calorie-filled options. But screw it! It's so damn tasty! I recommend the steak and cheese sub. Mmmm, this place is finger lickin good!

After ordering more than half the menu, I can honestly say Emilios is totally solid. The wraps are delicious and the pizzas are good sober or drunk. Great tzatziki, good Greek wraps, good pasta dishes... so much goodness. And the service is awesome, I'm always greeted with a smile and sometimes they even throw a few extra things in the bag on the house. Emilios makes me happy.

I can only speak to the quality of the pizza, which wasn't spectacular. The pizza was very thin and the crust was almost non-existent. No wonder it's so cheap! That's really the only saving grace of this place is the price. It's also open late, so if you stumble out of the bars across the street, and you are hungry, then stop here at Emilio's. It's not the best, but it gets the job done.
