It's a quick, cheap, and delicious meal. What more can you ask for! This is a pretty quirky and fun Chipotle right by Fenway. It's a great location with a bunch of other stores around. I definitely recommend coming here for a quick bite to eat. It may be difficult with crowds just because it's a cramped space and gets ridiculous when it's busy. The only issue I have with this Chipotle is when it's busy, the line wraps around where people sit on the sides and it gets really crowded. It's really hard to navigate during those times, but when it's not as busy, it's very easy to walk around. Other than that, the energy is ridiculously great and I enjoy coming here. Their music is so loud that you can actually hear the bass from the Supercuts right next door. Sheesh!

Don't get me wrong, "I love chipotle and chipotle is my life." But this particular chain has the worst customer service I have received at a Chipotle. All of the workers literally look like they don't care and talk to you like you are a wall. I have gotten attitude from the workers at this location also. The service here can get really slow and almost feels unpleasant for me to order my food. It is like the workers don't like working together because they literally won't help each other out, thus making the process even that much slower to finish orders. I honestly think this establishment needs to reconsider some of their employees. There is ample bar stools and a couple of tables located inside and outside. It can get crowded during meal peak times. Food: Amazing like all the other chipotle chain establishments! Transportation: There is street meter parking or paid lots around. Closest t stop is Fenway. (Green line D towards Riverside)

Employees are extremely rude. Upon arriving at the counter the employee looked at me and snidely asked "what do you want?" They also are painfully slow leading to there always being an enormous line, which is odd based on the number of employees they always have behind the counter. Avoid this location.

I've never seen an entire staff with RBF until I came here. The service wasn't necessarily bad but that's the first thing that stands out about the place. All the servers were really sloppy with the food, to the point where you could've made a couple burritos by what was on their counter. With being sloppy they over used all their ingredients so the burrito couldn't get rolled and the bowls would instantly spill over when opened. I usually don't complain about too much food but the excess sour cream made my meal feel kinda like a hybrid smoothie burrito. Not the worst but not great. 2 stars!

I have been hearing about a chipotle for a long time. The food is good but it's your's typical run off the mill fast food to some extent. It was nothing special, but it was very tasty and it did fill me up. The shredded beef was quite good, but I would expected from a place like this. If you want a big meal to fill you up with a good ratio of carbohydrates to protein I would come here. Other than that, there are many unique restaurants in Boston that one could visit so don't waste your time on a chain restaurant.

  • Michael A.

I have been eating year in the Fenway for the last 13 years. When I heard chipotle was opening up I thought great another chain restaurant. I went a couple times and got excellent service. And the food was quite delicious too. I must point out the manager Anthony and Mayra were absolutely very helpful and professional. With the service I received, as I walked out today I had to think to myself is this a fast food place or a great restaurant.?

    (5)
  • Nerali P.

I tried this branch out for the first time today. The service was appalling. The server made me feel like he was doing me a HUGE favour by putting together a basic burrito. Also - he was really messy and couldn't care less about slamming food onto a tiny burrito and onto most of the counter top. Give it a miss and go to the Boylston location.

Great for take out!! What's not to love about Chipotle? Portions are generous, all locations are clean, and this one is particularly spacious. I suggest Chipotle for a quick meal

  • Peter E.

The experience I had at this chipotle, unlike any other chipotle I've been to, was terrible. While I was waiting in line, the employees pulled out the warmers/ refrigerators to clean between them in the window. Someone complained because they couldn't see the food they were ordering because it was pulled back about 4 feet from the window. It would have made sense to do this later when they were closing (at 10), but instead were cleaning at 745 when it was busy. The hot sauce, chicken and and corn containers were all close to empty, so my portion was small. Even though the burrito was undersized, the employee still managed to wrap it terribly. Since I barely got any hot sauce, I asked for some tobacco to compensate because the only ones out were the chipotle and green ones. There was none though. Don't go to this chipotle!

Came here before the Red Sox game started and it was completely packed. Didn't matter. Everyone who prepped the food was so fast and efficient, I was still trying to figure out if I wanted a burrito or bowl by the time I was in the front of the line. Fast, inexpensive, and delicious. Oh, and that GUAC :)

    (4)
  • Yeajin L.

Chipotle is a backup. It can never go wrong. But they are getting pricier. Guac for almost $2, really? Is it worth it, eh? I will still get them time to time, but there are definitely better authentic Mexican places you can try.

    (3)
  • Elizabeth P.

I usually don't write reviews for chain restaurants, but this chipotle was very generous with portions as compared with other locations. The place always looks packed but the line moves quickly!

  • Elleen P.

CHipottleelelelLELE!!!!!! I love you, I really do. Wonderfully cooked steak, perfect rice, amazing tortillas (which ironically I didn't have this time I visited, but I do every other time). I hope when I go to heaven, they have Chipotle catering. Service is kind of lacking, but it's a fast food (sort of) establishment so I don't think you should expect much to begin with.

  • David C.

This location needs some help. Came in at lunch time. Line was out the door and 10 people were working behind the counter. They just couldn't handle it. The servers moved ridiculously slow; it felt like all of them were training. No manager or person in charge seemed present to speed things up. Food was hot and fresh though lettuce wasn't adequately washed given the nice little dead green bug that appeared atop my burrito bowl.

  • Tony K.

Been coming here a lot. Good food, exceptionally for guacamole..over all the only Mexican food place to go to

    (4)
  • Kelsey M.

This is by far my favorite Chipotle in the city. The food tastes fresh, they don't just slop things in the bowl and the portions are fair. Another thing I love about this location is that it's close to the theatre and Fenway. Minus one star for the cleanliness being less than acceptable.

    (4)
  • Cas C.

This is a really filthy Chipotle location. The people working here are shady and they won't tell you that they don't have forks and spoons for your 'to stay' meals until after you pay for the food. It is the place to avoid. Try al palone instead, good Maxican food... Clean place. 0.2 mi far from Chipotle.

    (1)
  • Keneil A.

Didn't even get to eat here. By far one of the rudest employees I've ever interacted with. She walked by and said "SCUSE ME!" as if we were in her way. The line to wait, by poor design, blocks the bathroom. Yes it is "fast food" but you can at least be nice to customers even when you may be having a bad day.

    (1)
  • Patricia M.

Whenever I come here I'm never really sure what to order. There's one thing I've gotten so far that I've liked and it's the chicken tacos. I don't really feel as if theres a variety of things to get but I'm happy I've finally found something I could eat there. I've had a burrito there and frankly its way too much to eat in one serving. It literally took me two days to complete it and thats not something that makes me happy being that I hate leftovers. Other than that it seems like a very clean environment, and if you love Mexican food i'd recommend it

    (3)
  • Diane S.

I will forever rate all Chipotles with 5 stars. I love Chipotle and I would eat it 3 times a day, 7 days a week. At this particular location, I went in after watching a movie and found that they had run out of rice. I waited 30 minutes for that rice, and got my burrito. I love Chipotle

    (5)
  • Eliot W.

This used to be a decent place, but now it's just another horrible fast-food joint. The staff don't listen to what you ask for, pile on too much or too little and slap it together sloppily, rush you through the line, and then at the end there is confusion over which order is yours. In the end, I wound up with a cold, soggy burrito that fell apart when I started to eat it. Yeah, it's just gone from bad to worse, and we will never go back. What's the point? I mean, El Pelon is right around the corner and is far superior and authentic as far the food goes.

  • Lea C.

I've been to this location several times - probably close to 20 times? Some Yelpers say that this Chipotle's portions are stingy. Of the 20 times I've been there, I've only experienced that twice. The first time it happened, the girl making my burrito was in training (she really didn't know what she was doing). The second time it happened, the guy making my burrito clearly hated his job. I never saw him after that, though, so I'm led to believe he either left or was fired? While some people say this location is slow, I'd have to disagree. I think they are very fast and efficient. The problem is, people like to come here before Red Sox games and (literally) order 10 burritos for their friends. So even though there are maybe 5 people in front of you, each person is ordering for their friends. Also, many customers simply SUCK at ordering. They become very overwhelmed by the amount of choices and they take forever to figure out what they want. So you can't 100% blame Chipotle for that. I've experienced that at many Chipotles.

    (4)
  • Francis C.

The younger college age staff has changed in last couple months and they do not pay attention to the line, rhey spend more time joking around and telling at eachother which leads to mistaken orders. Love chipotle yet this location needs help.

Great place for a quick healthy meal. In and out in 30 min. Will go again!

Great food-you will never leave here hungry. Service is pretty quick and the restaurant if very clean.

    (4)
  • G U.

The most disappointing Chipotle experience. This location is very stingy with the portions they serve. When asked for more rice or beans, the server responds "we can't do that any more". It gets worse... When I ask for hot sauce on the side, they respond saying have to charge me if I do that... Really Chipotle?!?! The worst part-- I left feeling hungry!! this, till this visit, i never thought was possible! Oh, how you are fallen, dear Chipotle. I've loved chipotle... But my perception of chipotle is rapidly deteriorating. I guess all good things must succumb to profit making schemes over quality and service.

The food gets 5 stars, but the service gets 4. Who doesn't LOVE Chipotle!?!?! The food is insanely delicious & fresh. A little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for.

went here for lunch yesterday. Food is good and staff is friendly. Had outdoor eating...but its fast food. Guacamole is bland and the carnita is also kinda bland. If you're going to eat fast food, this is probably one of your better options.

  • Kris A.

Ate here once. Got food poisoning. Never coming back.

  • Liz W.

I've been coming here for months and had no problems. Fairly quick service and quality burrito construction. But now I'm not sure I can come back. I went yesterday and was greeted by a sign on the door that said opening late due to a broken grill. Went back later and the grill was not fixed and they had no chicken or beef. I left without ordering. Next day, grill was fixed but the soda machine was broken. And the worker decided to have a 10 minute conversation with a customer when there was a line behind him. Sorry chipotle, I tried, but you did not redeem yourself.

  • Laura G.

Went here with my boyfriend for dinner. I was standing in front of him on line and he was helped first. What the hell? Anyway the girl couldn't roll a burrito if her life depended on it. Both of our burritos were not completely wrapped with the tortilla so it was extremely messy. Also the cashier girl didn't ask me if I wanted anything else and just assumed I only wanted a burrito and she had attitude with me.

  • Andrea B.

Chipotle is like a burrito-making machine. They've got a system, and they've got that system down pat. I came to this Chipotle shortly after a Red Sox game ended (what was I thinking?), so naturally the line was pretty long. But the workers form what is essentially a burrito assembly line - one worker adds your choice of rice, beans, and meat; the next worker adds salsa, cheese, guac (costs extra), and sour cream, and then a third worker rings up your order, and bam! You've got a delicious burrito ready for you to gobble up. The menu is extremely limited, but I find it difficult to care much about that when what they do have to offer is so flavorful and delicious. And honestly, I haven't found a better burrito in Boston to date.

  • Angela G.

This was my first time to a Chipotle, and I was pretty impressed. Love the hot sauce options and the carnitas! My burrito was too big to finish, but I really wanted to keep eating it because it tasted amazing. In the end, my stomach won over my mouth.

I visited this Chipotle on 30 Nov 2013 around 615 pm. This was the WORST Chipotle I've been to. All the food on the line looked like it had been sitting there for hours . I saw this and almost walked out but I was craving, Chipotle so I gave it a try. My Burrito Quesadilla (The lady there argued with me calling it a Quesaritto, never heard that term before) had way too much cheese and even with all that melted cheese, the chicken and brown rice were not warm at all. The guacamole was disgusting. Maybe it was cold and they were slow, but that food still needs to be rotated out. The restaurant tables were clean. Finally, why they don't validate parking is beyond me. I will NOT be going to this Chipotle again. I will take my craving elsewhere!

As far as a chain goes its one of the better one but with a far better Mexican option couple of blocks away, really can't recommend this place much more. Good for quick bit, fast, efficient, same taste mostly. Have limited menu (burritos with its variations and tacos). Somehow it's pretty popular among some crowds and friends and I can't seem to figure out why. I mean it's better than Mc or BK but when there are better Mexican food options why go here. They frequently have new serving staff and some of them always have different ways they make the same thing which makes me think how good/bad their training process is. Also some of the staff members dont care fat all or ur experience there & don't bother even if there is an error on the order etc Will I come here again definitely bcz it's a quick bite esp when u have to be someplace (cinema etc nearby). is it my go to place for burritos/Mexican food Nope.

I consider Chipotle to be in the upper echelon of 5-ingredient takeout restaurants. This is a pretty decent store with a good location. They offer brown rice (which I love!) and it's usually pretty clean. I've been a little disappointed with some of the burritos I've received, though. Somehow my burritos end up either grossly over-stuffed or really really tiny. Burritos are designed to be portable, yet filling, so these two extremes are a little annoying. I ordered online twice, and once my order was correct. Once. The other time, they forgot something and used the wrong rice. Bummer. Good location, nice people and decent food. 3-stars.

This is a review for Chipotle in Kendall, I ordered a Veggie Burrito. The only actual veggie in it was green pepper, maybe 15 slices, about a quarter of pepper. In addition, some corn, technically a grass, some under ripe tomatoes, technically a fruit, and onions, a root. For 7 BUCKS+, maybe throw in some broccoli or something, some spinach, I dunno. But to pay more than 7 dollars for a total of 2 dollars in ingredients and the SLOP- move on, SLOP- move on, SLOP, conveyor belt of factory efficiency, then to watch them fold, wrap, bag, and re-bag in about 3 dollars worth of paper, forget about it. Skip lunch.

I really love chipotle, but this location needs some help. Once I went on there, and the chef walked out (quit) with food on the grill. After a few additional visits, I can see why. They never seem to quite have it together. Out of this, need more that, one moment for the cashier, etc. The food is great (I mean it is chipotle) but they could use a process flow improvement.

We stopped here to pick up something for dinner as we made our way down from the direction of Fenway towards the movie theater. The menu is pretty sparse and upon inquiry, I found out the one protein listed that I didn't know was a pulled beef. When it was clear that I didn't know which meat I wanted, I was offered samples in little cups, which was quite nice. That helped me to veer away from the pulled beef (I didn't care for the seasonings) and toward the tender pulled pork (the cubes of steak and chicken were a little dry at the time of my visit). White rice or Brown? Beans? There are two varieties. Salsas - tomato based and corn - yes to both! The only thing that had an extra charge was the guacamole, so I decided against that this time. My burrito guy was a plus in his attitude and manners. My resultant burrito was a fat pillow of a creature - short and fat rather than tall and thin. A little loosely wrapped, but I managed. Very filling to my appetite, but I finished it. More like a 3.5 stars experience.

the only reason why that i'm reviewing chipotle is that they have BROWN RICE HERE. BROWN RICE?! YAY. it's much more expensive here than it is in LA, but i guess it's new england. oh, good ol' chipotle. you always provide me with lots of food that doesn't really hurt my conscience. the servers were also extremely friendly, too. cheers!

Chipotle is a decent choice for a quick lunch in the area. Major points for being all locally sourced, recycling-oriented, environmentally responsible, chemical-rejecting, fresh and 'real', and all that other good stuff I love to see nowadays. I wouldn't call it cheap per say (I can get a filling meal at Boloco for just under $5), but for $6-7 they do give you a large portion and it's cheaper than a lot of places around here so it evens out. Menu is limited but customizable. My main gripe is their chicken is adobo marinated and too spicy for me (found that out the hard way)... I don't eat beef, so that leaves my only choices as either pork or vegetarian. Both are fine, no major complaints, I just can't come here if I'm craving chicken. I do like that you can get both guac and fajita veggies on your veggie burrito or bowl and it's included in the price (their fajita veggies are actually crisp and nicely spiced), which is the route I usually go.

Is this what it's come to? Now that Restaurant Week is over and I've dined at places like Mistral, Sorellina, and No. 9 Park, I'm reduced to reviewing Chipotle? Wait, who am I kidding? I love Chipotle! Seriously, they have the best fast-food burritos around. Fresh vegetables and tender, juicy meats bursting with flavor--what more can you ask for? Maybe a little more variety and diet-conscious options (seriously, no brown rice or whole wheat tortillas??), but that's just quibbling. In the battle of Boston burrito supremacy, Chipotle takes the cake.

Eh. Give me El Pelon or Ana's anyday! Chipotle, to me, is a step above (okay maybe 3 steps) Taco Bell. Skip it.

  • Julia C.

Dear Chipotle, I love you better than Anna's, Qdoba, or Boloco. Or all of them combined, for that matter. Your portions are HUGE, and you never skimp on meat! Speaking of meat, your steak is cooked medium rare and pink in the center. Usually when I get steak at other burrito joints, it's super-well done and dry; never at this location! By the way, fabulous guacamole -- I've definitely thought about just getting a side of guac for lunch from the location across the street from work. My friends tease me mercilessly when I say that you've the best burrito that I've ever had, but I don't care one bit. You're amazing! Thanks for the lovely dinner tonight, and see you again soon. Love, Joolsey. PS: Keep those buy one, get one free coupons coming in the mail!

For a chain, this place really isn't bad. Gone here many a time for lack of a better burrito place within vicinity and keep going back. Given the choice between Chipotle and Anna's, Anna's takes it. Given the choice between Chipotle and Boloco, Chitpotle wins. Given the choice between Chipotle and Purple Cactus, Chipotle wins. Given the choice between Chipotle and the random burrito stand in Back Bay Station, Chipotle wins. Given the choice between Chiptole and Taco Bell, wait, there is no choice there. Point? Chipotle consistently provides a burrito superior to most other burrit-options in Boston proper. While the menu may be quite limited, the ingredients fast-foody and the portions sometimes not-so-generous, Chipotle makes due with what it offers. The staff here are always super friendly, fast moving and have never messed up an order (already FAR more than I could say about Boloco, Purple Cactus and Anna's). Ample seating, clean public restrooms and a prime location in the heart of Fenway all add to the allure of this Chipotle. Maybe I'm just not well-versed in the Boston Burrito, but I can't think of somewhere within a mile of this place that offers up a better one.

  • Carly L.

They forgot to put black beans in my burrito bowl...I was so sad. It ruined my lunch..my legumes..No legumes in my burrito bowl!? Blasphemy!! Other then that, lines are ridiculous during lunch line but they work pretty fast! ( and forgot my beans...)

    (3)
  • Michael P.

    * Whoa, they have brown rice here!!! Chiptole is getting healthier. * Props for having ample bottles of tobasco sauce ready. I'm the type that needs a bottle to myself so I can drench every bite of my burrito with smoked tobasco. At other chipotle locations, I'm always in search of that one and only smoked tobasco bottle being used by someone else somewhere, but here, there were SIX bottles.

This is my favorite of all the Chipotle locations. Though the Harvard Sq. one is closer and more convenient, I always end up coming to this one instead. The food is not much different than any other Chipotle location, but the staff is super friendly. The location is right by a decent movie theater, and a Starbucks, so it's a great date place. There are great big windows, and good people watching on both sides (it's on a corner). The dining area is clean, as are the bathroom. The drink station is clean and always tidy. I see the staff come by every 10 minutes and make sure that it stays that way. It's stocked with 3 kinds of Tabasco, which I really appreciate. All in all, if I'm going to Chipotle, chances are, it'll be this location.

    (4)
  • Mallory S.

I love Chipotle but my last experience was not my favorite. The bad news: Rice/beans don't go on the tacos.. so the tacos were wayyyy too full $1.95 for guacamole?!? That's a little crazy. I asked the cashier if they had any lemonade/Nantucket Nectar lemon-like drinks.. he said no, so I had the Pineapple Orange Nantucket Nectar.. only to find out that they have lemonade at the fountain. This would have been good to know! Good food. Bad/sloppy service. It was quick and filling but 6 soft tacos and two drinks later we racked up a $20 bill!

  • Denise D.

Best burrito I've ever had and I am certainly not a fan of Mexican food but this place is spot on. I love how you watch the make your food right in front of you and just the fact that they offer brown rice is a plus. If the burrito weren't 900 calories I'd definitely go back today for seconds!

This Chipotle restaurant was very busy, by with a very efficient staff. The food was great and level of service was good. For how busy the place was, it seemed clean and organized. I would recommend for quick bite.

  • Kelly S.

The food is great, love the chicken salad. However, this particular Chipotle has several very impolite people working here. They've argued with me about what I ordered which I know I didn't order since I come in here every week and order the same thing and the cashier seems incredibly unmotivated and unhappy perhaps she should be in the back where she doesn't have to interact with people. I will have to think long and hard before I go back here just based on the rude behavior of the people who work here.

    (1)
  • David M.

This is a pretty quick chipotle with everything you've come to love and expect. But a few warnings, they do let the meat dry out from time to time and if you go with vegetarian they will load on the guac. Also, around noon... no, at exactly 12:00 the line for this place gets out of control. until like 12:15.

  • Erin C.

I'm not saying this is a great mexican food, I'm just saying its tasty food. I love their bowls. I love that the guy who works the counter (Tony) remembers me and what I like in my bowl. I also appreciate that everything is quick, hot and tastes pretty dang good. My only complaint? Lets get a "buy X number of burritos/bowls/tacos and get one free" card like every other joint in the area.

I stopped into this Chipotle before watching the Red Sox kick some serious butt the other day. The food was Chipotle standard, pretty fresh and nomlicious but what really impressed me was the super fast service. There were a lot of people on line but that didn't seem to stop the determined crew behind the line. I waited no more than five minutes for my delicious burrito.

  • Anya S.

I am not a fan of Mexican food. I love chipotle. This particular location didnt get the recipe for the rice. It is always hard and undercooked. The place is clean and staff is friendly. And they got my GUAC. The guacamole is amazing.

  • Philip K.

Ok, I know some people go LOCO for Chipotle, but, I have to say I enjoy almost every other independent Mexican place over this chain. Even when the food isn't as good or consistent other places just provide more of that mystery than Chipotle which, because of its chain status, is hugely predictable. That said this branch is fast, fresh, and exactly like every other Chipotle I have been to ever. The one major bummer is the cashier I have had a few times is SUPER unfriendly and not motivated. I mean I know its being a cashier at Chipotle but, be more friendly to the customers. Also, one time they were out of chicken completely which was kind of a bummer. If you want a big, messy, caloric, and freshly prepared burrito head here.

  • Juliana N.

Don't come here. The servers are rude! Some are really great but something changed froM when they first opened. One of the severs was so rude it changed my mind about this location. I'd rather go somewhere else.

  • Chris M.

I don't get all the h8 for this place. I'd always rather support a local restaurant or chain over an international corp - but honestly, their burritos are amazing, and consistent, with decently-sourced ingredients. Compared to Ana's and Boca, their food tastes really fresh and flavorful. I like to order online from my work, take the ten minute walk there, and pick it up with zero wait time. And as an athlete, burritos are a savior for our caloric needs.

Enough debate about Chipotle being authentic mexican....obviously it's not. This review is for this particular location. I'd normally give Chipotle 4.5/5 stars as far as tasty fast food and burritos goes...this one gets 2. I've consistently had one big problem with this location...they have far smaller portions than other comparative Chipotle locations around the nation (yes, I've literally been to dozens). They have filled up my guacamole to only half full...three times now. That shit is expensive and ya don't give much to begin with...fill that cup up damn it! Same with the burritos...tonight the lady literally put a pinch of cheese, a pinch of salsa, and half a scoop of rice. It was about 1/3 the size of the normal burritos you get at Chipotle. No, I don't need a whole burrito normally...but I do appreciate being able to save half for dinner. If you're going to give me 1/3 of a burrito then charge me 1/3 of the price. It's been the same story every time. The staff seem nice, the location is clean, and the quality is up to Chipotle standards, but halving my burrito each time is going to continue to annoy me.

This place is super crowded with students and movie goers but since people come and go, you get a seat fairly quickly. that's the only good thing about this Chipotle. Ok, so they def. skimp on the stuff compare to other locations and I swear the ingredients taste and freshness just isn't up to par compared to 3 other locations I've been to. What's up with that? I've concluded that college students needs places that's cheap and huge portions to fill them up. Taste- well as long as its better than dorm food right?

It's a chain burrito place, I'm not sure what else to say. It's good for lunchtime food when I don't know what else I want to eat.

Gross!!! Why go here when you can go to one of the SEVERAL better Mexican joints in town??? Bolocco, Anna's, etc are all around the same price as Chipotle and are significantly tastier.

not a fan of mexican food, but chipotle has changed that. (can i consider chipotle real mexican food? no right? forget what i said) every burrito from chipotle has been excellent unless i was really unlucky that day. one bowl is enough for me and my boyfriend to share (he could eat a lot), or just me + leftovers. our combo (chicken bowl): white rice, black beans, mild salsa, chicken, corn, sour cream, cheese, lettuce. + tortilla on the side. no need for guac for us. ITS PERFECT! get a cover to shake the bowl and mix it. simply delicious, cheap, fast, convenient... sometimes this place gets crowded though, especially during the red sox games. but they never messed up my orders and the wait was always tolerable. you just might not get a seat.

I'm still angry with myself for wasting a perfectly good meal here. I did it mostly so I could say from experience that "Chipotle sucks" and not have to go on assumptions anymore. The first thing I noticed when walking in here was the large amount of avocados sitting on the counter in an obvious display (see... we make our own guacamole!). That bought them 1 sympathy star. Between the "lime rice" (white rice with lime), the pound of guacamole on my burrito, or the 8.34 price tag I couldn't decide what my least favorite part was. Long story short: this burrito ruined my night. Nice try though.

This is a great Lunch option if you work in the LMA. Only a 10min walk from Longwood Ave. 15 min round trip on my bike. This location seems to be on top of their game, and i think it gets enough around-the-clock traffic that they keep the ingredients fresh. My burrito was good, but the chips were a little soggy. Another bonus: free refills on pop if you dine-in!

Im one of those southern californian mexican food snobs. I do however know that a burrito can be amazing without being authentic Mexican. I honestly think this chipotle is better than most I've been to in California. They are very friendly. They never skimp on the burrito, which may only be a bad thing with guacamole. simple solution: say light guac! If you do it right they wont even charge you for it. I've never been disappointed here except when i waited 45 minutes in the rain to get my free burrito on opening day.

Whoa Whoa Whoa! 3.5 stars for Chipotle? Jeff A must be doing a Spartan cheer right now. That must mean I've been away from California long enough that I've become delusional. Honestly if you have shitty choices for "Mexican" food, I gravitate towards the least shitty option. What makes this place an even less shittier option is their "DRESS LIKE A BURRITO AND WE GIVE YOU FOOD FOR FREE" promotion during Halloween. They required us triflin' (mostly college students) to wrap ourselves in foil. Some folks got real creative and made construction paper fillings (carnitas, rice, beans, lettuce) to look as "authentic" as Chipotle burritos, some just put foil on their heads and around their wrists, some made baseball caps. I wrapped my fingers and my teef. The line was long, but the speedy, courteous, served-us-with-a-smile Chipotle employees made us not act up like ingrates for waiting. Hey, you're an asshole to complain about free burritos if all you need to do is wait in line. Anywayz, this is technically my 2nd trip to Chipotle (EVER IN MY LIFE), so I didn't know what to get. I asked the line cook what meat I should get. I haven't been able to really eat beef since we started the Anatomy block for school, and I realized I can eat chicken or pork so long as they are not barbecued (the preservatives in anatomy lab smells like bbq... which is all kinds of wrong). I asked dude if I can mix up the chicken and carnitas. He happily obliged. He's awesome. What turned out was a fat, phat, hella phizZzat burrito. I appreciated its girth. Girthy burrito. Yes. I sat down with this girthy baby and was mad eager to eat it. I hated the world after a day-long recuperation from getting hungover from post-anatomy-midterm-partying, and Chipotle's burrito promotion was just the answer to my bitterness. I no longer hated the world once I started eating my free meal. I had a hard time putting it away because it was so girthy and huge. I did appreciate that this burrito has FLAVOR compared to competitors' burritos. Once I did, it was around 8:45pm. I remembered the promo lasting until 10pm. The line dwindled down, and I encouraged other triflin' and courageous fellow asians from my group to go for seconds. Line cook dude asked me "you look familiar, have I seen you before?" To which I responded, "no you haven't. I shall have carnitas please." Ahhh free food. I hecka miss California taco trucks. ( | )

After much hype, my sister and I finally decided to see what the fuss was about and we had dinner at Chipotle. The menu is really standard and simple. Not much different from Anna's or Boca Grande or any other burrito chain in Boston. I decided on a Carnitas Burrito Bowl. The prices are good and the portion is worth the money. Everything looked fresh and the service was good and the counter staff seemed like they were having a good day. Like most other fast food burritos, it ended up sitting a bit heavy but I can't complain too much. I think I prefer Anna's to Chipotle, but I would not be opposed to returning.

I have a special place in my heart for Chipotle. I go to this location because it is close to campus for me. The food taste fresh and the portions are huge. I must have been to this Chipotle at least 30 times in the last couple years. My usual - rice bowl with barbacoa, black beans, tomato salsa, corn salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce. Great value for about $7 - especially when I can have two meals from it. **TIP - Ask for extra of (almost) any of the ingredients (rice, beans, veggies, salsa, etc.)! No additional charge! The only things that they charge for is extra meat or guac. This goes for all Chipotles.

Can I just say, I'm idiot because I had posted a review for the Cambridge location thinking it was this one a YEAR ago. =X And now that I'm in the right place.... I've always been a fan of Chipotle and with el pelon is still down (and not coming back anytime soon), I've been here more times than I'd like to admit. My favorite way to order now is still, a burrito BOWL usually chicken with guacamole and a bag of chips. I dip my chips into my burrito bowl like its a hug bowl of dip. My drink of choice: the izze blackberry soda. YUM! The burritos are okay, way too big in my opinion-probably explains the um... ~2000 calories it contains (doesn't matter how you make it). No joke, google that. 3 stars, because the employees are RUDE. I mean, really??? I understand there are people who hate their job, but is a constant frown and throwing of items really necessary?

Figured I'd give this place a try on my lunch break today. While it's not the most comfortable environment & the line can get quite long during the rush, I didn't feel like the service or quality lacked too much. In fact, it was like they pumped out your order like a factory - each person doing their job down the chain. I got the chicken burrito with black beans, sour cream & cheese. I don't think I'll get meat if I order here again - the texture of the chicken was a bit too much for me... & the sour cream is a little watery. Other than that, it was a decent size for the whopping $7 I laid down for it.

I remember reading about the IPO for Chipotle and how it garnered one of the biggest openings ever. That stuck in my head, being the nerd that I am, when I went in to try this place. Naturally I had big expectations and I'm happy to say Chipotle didn't disappoint! Chipotle was my mexican bread and butter through college. I remember doing a little cheer when it opened up right next to my 24/7 hour study hangout and thinking how this will be as I know it, the end of me. Considering the girth of these delicious burritos and the complete lack of hitting the gym, I was about to embark on my own journey towards increasing my own girth. Fast forward to moving to Beantown and not having a Chipotle nearby really hurt me. It also reduced a couple pant sizes, but i had to trade that in with all that burrito goodness I simply craved every few days. And then I found one in Fenway! The chipotle here was twice as large with more workers to keep the line moving and fortunately enough (and unfortunately for all my small jeans now...) really close to a friend's place! I still have a smile on my face from the satisfaction that burrito gave me last week. Such was the anticipation that I didn't even wait for my friends to get to the table - I just dove in. *Sigh* - Chipotle, I missed thee. Glad to have you back in my life.

It's downright comical when people rip places like this for not being "authentic". Open your mind and understand that places can achieve quality by means other than authenticity. Chipotle, as "authentic" as it may or may not be...is freaking delicious. The people are wicked friendly, the portions are huge, and the vibe is fun. They do everything right. I won't go to Mexico on a hunt for an authentic piece of apple pie...don't come to Boston on a quest for authentic carne guisada.

I came to Chipotle on free burrito day and received an amazing barbacoa burrito bowl with everything plus guacamole in addition to a free Izzy drink. It was so huge that my tortilla busted open to the point that they had to give me a bowl. Now two days later, having paid for my burrito I am extremely disappointed. The staff is so CHEAP! They not only give you just one scoop but they are shaking of most of the food from the spoons. Chipotle is known for big portions and for some reason these employees have been trained to be the exact opposite. My suggestion would be to go to Chipotle in Harvard.

Very consistently tasty food, lots of options (as healthful or as decadent as you like), and really nice counter staff. Very good value - ~$6 in 2011 gets you fed well.

Chipotle is better than Taco Bell, better than Qdoba, better than Boloco (if you can even compare the two). They're the best tex-mex fast food chain around, and have options (like barbacoa) that other joints just don't feature. If that's what you're looking for, Chipotle is your place -- and really, you shouldn't be complaining about what they put on your food, because it's all right there in front of you, and if you want, you can direct them to make it to your exact specifications. If you don't want a lot of guacamole, tell them not to put a lot of guacamole on it. Real basic stuff here, guys. (If you want fast Mexican that's a bit more "authentic," though, you'd be better served at Anna's).

Chipotle is our favorite burrito place. We first had one open up in our home town of Winter Park, FL and it was love at first site/bite. The facilities are always clean and the staff are always super friendly. We only get burritos. We have never had anything else on the menu so this review is not very well rounded. For fast burritos you can't get much better than a Chipotle and this particular location is great. It's right across from the movie theater that we always go to. Chipotle is as good as it gets for burritos.

Quick, fresh, made-to-order burritos and burrito bowls. What else could you ask for in your neighborhood? The line moves quickly and the food always tastes great. No complaints here!!

  • Matthew D.

Certainly not life-changing in terms of Mexican food, but Chipotle is consistently good. And it can be tough to find hard-shell tacos, which I do favor. The servers at this location are always beyond gregarious and fun to talk with. I will most certainly be back for more tacos and the like soon.

For this to be a food chain it is delicious. All the ingredients are super fresh. It's quick and they over load your burrito! Love that. The staff working here are actually the BEST fast-food staff in Boston. & it's not just that location. They love their job and i would to if i was around delicious ingredients. This place beats Bolocco and Qdoba. Hands down the best in Boston.

Chipotle is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. However, nothing much than to savor a 5 minute experience. Some pros: -very clean -simple menu -even has definitions on the types of meat so I didn't need to whip out my span-english dictionary -Big burritos -quick and friendly staff some cons: -very expensive to add guacomole ($2) -if you want spicy heat, the hot stuff is hot but not what you can get at other mexican places -my carnitas was dried out, probably been sitting there for a bit Chipotle teeters the line of fast food and out of the ordinary place. I won't be running in here anytime soon but it will be my first choice if I want a burrito fix.

While there is nothing *amazing* about Chipotle, this branch is clean, the line moves quickly, the quality of the food seems consistently good, the food is quite filling, the play decent music, and it's fast. I wouldn't go here on a date, but for a quick lunch option, I'm happy. Like others have said, I don't quite understand how beans/rice/flour tortilla/etc. and a drink are worth $8.50...but it seems comparable to other lunch options in the area.

This Chipotle was fantastic. The cashier was super nice, and my veggie burrito was excellent as it always is. This place is huge which is a plus, I imagine it gets pretty crowded during weekday lunch rush.

  • Mona L.

The mild salsa is the best tasting salsa I have ever had. I always get two scoops of it. It's crazy because I never ever get bored of Chipotle. I could literally go here every single day! Good thing it's kinda far from my apartment... but anyway, it is way way better than any other burrito place I ever been to.

Pretty decent, Burritos are huge, good deal for the money. I think the Carne Asada ("Steak") is waaay to dense to serve by 1/2" cubes in a huge burrito. I stick with chicken when I come here. Veggies are pretty salty. You can get a combination of salsas, but say it together so they put the right amount.

    (3)
  • Yan L.

Definitely better than Qdoba. The food here does feel fresher and less processed (though that might just be the psychological effects of their ad campaigns). Got a burrito with Barbacoa (?) Beef. Tasty and huge! Also got chips with guac. The chips are indeed different, and taste much better than the ones from the supermarket. Good for grabbing a quick and rather cheap bite.

  • Jin D.

If I happen to be quite hungry and would like to grab a quick and inexpensive bite, this is the perfect place to go. They have a simple selection of fresh ingredients to mix-and-match into a great meal in a few minutes. My personal favorite has also been their chicken Fajita with a slab of their guacamole sauce. Mm... mm...yummy :)

  • Nathan P.

Why are your burritos so big? This is not usually a problem with burritos but a big burrito is not a value when you can barely hold it in your hands without it exploding. Service is always really friendly here.

  • David H.

I was actually infuriated after eating here. the food at chipotle's literally insulted my taste buds with their disgusting crap and tasteless excuse for burritos. I mean, I shouldn't have to be dragged all the way to Fenway just to eat disgusting dog food slathered in baby puke wrapped in a wrinkly and cracked torilla. It's just one of those places that I'll never understand why people like so much. My only conclusion to that is that people have never gone to Anna's or Felipe's tacqueria before. Hell, even Taco Bell makes better stuff than this craphole. I want to get a bunch of people together, donate everything we can to buy out Chipotle, and banish the company from existence. who's in?

I don't know why Boston has so many of these fast food types of Mexican restaurants. That being said, Chipotle is still the bomb. My usual go to is the burrito bowl with rice, steak, hot sauce, tomatoes, gaucamole, lettuce, cheese, and onions / peppers. I think my favorite thing about this place is they have those extra bottles of hot sauce on the side. Out of all of these fast food type of Mexican restaurants in Boston, I think Chipotle is my favorite.

  • Michelle D.

The manager seems to know who I am, which is nice. My thoughts on Chipotle in general is that the burrito is good for a nice nutritional boost, especially if you need a quick run, but to have to pay about $10 a pop is too much. If it was truly about $5-$7, I would come here once a week like I end up doing with quiznos, but somehow when it hits the $10 range, it feels like I am being extravegant or something for just lunch. The burritos are quite messy too and never quite something I crave, but every once in a while it does hit the spot. Until el pelon returns.. this will suffice. p.s. - it is very exciting when it is free burrito day, so mad props to them for making that possible. if it could only happen more often, i'd be a happy camper.. !

I love chipotle, but avoid the steak! I kept spitting out my beef while having my burrito and could not figure out why....Until...my last piece. it was red and uncooked. Ughhh.

Really good veggie burritos with a bunch of stuff on them. Down the road from Fenway park and across the street from Landmark Center. I believe the burrito was 6ish dollars and the chips with salsa was about a buck fifty. Way better than Taco Bell but I do like fancier sitdown mexican places more. Well worth the money in my opinion though.

Chipotle is my favorite Mexican restaurant chain, and this one is pretty much spot on with all the others I have been to. The burritos are huge and probably should be eaten in two sittings, but that rarely happens. I suggest the Veggie Burrito and the tomato and corn salsa combo! I have had a few incidents at this location with the burrito being put together poorly, but I think it can be chalked up to new staff who are still learning the ropes. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty!

I used to eat at Chipotle regularly when I lived in NYC. Imagine my immense joy when I realized that a Chipotle was opening three minutes away from my apartment. The boyfriend and I finally headed over there last night. The good: I had the three crunchy tacos, and the tacos themselves were actually delicious -- and I'm talking about the actual cornmeal TACOS, not the filling. I mean really, folks: how often do you bite into a crunchy taco and think, "Wow, this taco tastes amazing!" My boyfriend had the vegetarian burrito, and he snarfed it down and proclaimed it to be delicious. The bad: despite the lack of a line, we were standing around for quite a while because they were "restocking" the rice and tending to other things behind the counter. That's totally cool, but as someone who works retail, I like it when someone apologizes for keeping customers waiting. A simple but genuine "Sorry 'bout the wait," would have been nice. Oh, and the previous posters were right: portions were smaller than what I'm used to. Since I live nearby, I'll be back. Otherwise, I'd recommend visiting their other locations.

I am burrito snob. I admit it. And I also have to admit that I had written off Chipotle as too corporate, not authentic and too pricey. But then, they went ahead and opened one two blocks from my house and I just couldn't resist the pull of my pal Burrito. And it was good. REAL good. Corn salsa in the burrito was an A-plus, the sour cream being included in the price is BRILLIANT and the proportions were very decent. Chipotle, you've redeemed yourself.

not only do i LOVE chipotle, but i love that this one is near my work and pretty much the only one in boston. the reason i don't give this particular one a 5 though, is that they definitely had a light hand on my burrito bowl, to the point where my friend asked me if that was all i was eating. never in a million years did i think i'd have to complain about portion size at chipotle. not too big of a deal though, i still love you!

I don't know why everyone thinks this Chipotle sucks so much. I'm not saying it's the best or anything, but it isn't bad. I've been there three times so far, and every time its been packed. So obviously people like it. Before I get started on their burritos which everyone seems to hate. I've got to say Chipotle has some of the Best Chips and Guac! Really fresh Guac and the chips are fresh with a hint of the lime. Very delicious!! Now for the burrito. It is true that they are not very consistent with their portions. But making a burrito is an art, so if you don't know how to properly put the right ingredients together then of course your going to have a sh*tty burrito. I recommend trying their carnitas. Get it with rice, black beans, salsa, lettuce, and a little bit of sour cream, regular salsa, and corn. Also if you like spicy stuff which I most definitely do. I recommend getting a side of the really red hot sauce/salsa and eating it with the burrito. This burrito with chips and guac, you really can't go wrong.....

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
