Super fast service, delicious modern Mexican food, & a fabulous price! Gabe (the manager, I think) is super friendly & helpful!! Always a gentleman. Love this place & will come back often! The teriyaki burrito is fantastic!

Food: 3/5 Stars Service: 4/5 Stars Ordered the Thai Burrito after an MFA trip and it came with a ton of onions! That was not listed on the menu / ingredients list. Also the rice inside the burrito was too dry and I thought that the flavor was very bland inside. Guess there's not much to expect from a Boloco but maybe next time.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this isn't the place. However, I do like their concept - "international" burritos with fresh ingredients. I've gotten a make it yourself burrito here and honestly I thought Q'doba was better. I've also had some of their other burritos from catered food: Summer Steak: Only one worth getting. Steak is chewy, burrito is interesting without being too weird. Buffalo Chicken: I'm personally not a fan of buffalo sauce so I disliked this one. Classic Mexican: Boring. Next. Bangkok Thai: Absolutely disgusting. Cucumbers in a burrito should not be a thing. Their one redeeming quality, however, and the thing I get (though it's expensive) if I'm looking for a healthy option at Northeastern, is their New England Harvest Salad. It's fresh and delicious. The ingredients combine together wonderfully; the mushrooms and quinoa really bulk the salad up so that a small bowl is filling enough. They also do have pretty good guac (again, my experience with this is from their catering). You can tell it's made with actual avocado and the cilantro at the top is a nice addition. Again, nothing against Boloco, but I would prefer to spend my money somewhere else if I were to get burritos. Being from Southern California, I'm pretty picky.

Ehh. I really wish I could like this place, but it's just not that great. I've been twice, and both times were pretty unenjoyable. Aside from their extremely small portions, high prices, and rude staff, they have a pretty cool selection of menu items that you can try. However, I tried the buffalo chicken and cheeseburger burritos before and both have not impressed me in the slightest. Staff has been rude both times I've gone -- I asked how big the sizes were and she rolled her eyes at me before flicking her finger up, signaling me to look at the menu. .... I was asking for more of a physical size, but ok. Waiting for your food is less of a pain, but still soooo slow. One thing I would recommend, though, is the kale smoothie. It was expensive as crap but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. Otherwise, I'd recommend going to Qdoba on the other side of the street.

Super fast and great food. Boloco is probably my favorite 'fast food' place. Their specials are always on point as well, I'd wish they'd just add to their menu! Don't think of it as a mexican place. Yeah, they sell burritos. but they're global burritos. All different styles of food wrapped into a tortilla.

Way overpriced. Didn't put much chicken in the burrito and the teriyaki sauce was way too sweet. Couldn't even finish the burrito, feel nauseous

They weren't kidding when a mini sized burrito is really... mini. Considering that we live in America and everything is super sized and everything nowadays is in huge portions, I was super surprised that Boloco offered a mini size burrito. So, as a Boloco virgin, I walked in and ordered a mini burrito. To satisfy my burrito craving, I ordered the Mexican flavored one... which was just ok. I'm from California, the burrito state, so I definitely had better. This is a good substitute for now... but the burrito was SO small. It was almost too cute to eat, haha. When I asked the cashier to go easy on the beans, he put a small splatter and asked it if was ok. It was literally 10 beans or something. I thought he was kidding... but I guess the burrito wasn't supposed to fit that much. In the end, I finished the burrito in 3 minutes or so, trying to savor each bite. I'm definitely interested in trying the Thai flavored one in the near future. Not sure how I feel about the other combination of flavors (ie., teriyaki in a tortilla?)

I usually order the bangkok Thai, teriyaki, or the classic Mexican. The food is alright but always keeps me full. It is a little pricey though for just a burrito. I would say the northeastern location is the best because they always fill the burritos since the customers are usually hungry college students. I always pay with levelup because of the point rewards system they have.

Californians stay away! There is only disappointment for you here. However, after years of being subjected to their glorified wraps, it does start to grow on you. A buffalo chicken burrito? Why not! Cole slaw and masala sauce? Well... Hmm... While customization is nice and all, sometimes what you really need is a real burrito.

This Boloco is really clean and quite expansive compared to my home turf location, but as I strayed away from of my usual Boloco, I also strayed away from my favorite items on the menu and tried something new just for fun. It was terrible. While this sun filled Boloco seemed to be just as kind and gracious as my sweet, elderly in-laws, they share a similar attribute; some of their meals can be really appalling. I decided to try the Tikka Masala in a bowl. (Note that you can get these in a variety of sizes and also in a wrap.) I ordered it with tofu, and also picked up a bottled water. After forking over 9$, I watched while one of the very pleasant servers ladled out a large mound of brown rice, three miniature pieces of raw broccoli that might satisfy a dieting rodent, two pieces of gloppy looking tofu that had clearly been sitting around, and then covered it all with a blob of yellowish sauce. I make rice bowls all the time and know what goes in them. This was one of the most disappointing meals I have had in Boston. The rice was dry and undercooked, the three stray clippings of broccoli were old and brown, and the sauce was totally struggling with issues of boredom and blahness. There really was no flavor at all. I was famished, but just like turkey day at my in-laws, I departed with a cavern in my tummy and a sad feeling of dissatisfaction. I did enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine, and I enjoyed my cold bottled water. The location on Huntington Avenue is a good one. But that meal, the Tikka Masala, was an unfortunate blot on an otherwise perfect day. Send this one to the retirement center, Boloco.

Decent food, but I don't see the point in paying that much money for such a mediocre meal. If you're hungry, it will get the job done; however, don't expect it to be the best food to hit your craving spot.

This place is one of the best as far as burritos. It's so addicting to the point I usually go 3 times a week. The buffalo chicken burrito is great but make sure to hit the coke freestyle machine first.

I have become a loyal customer because the food is great, the employees are always enthusiastic and the prices are reasonable. I have consistently seen positive marketing and love the interaction between company and customer (via twitter and social media). You can tell this is a business that treats its people right and there's nothing better than that. Except when their food is just as good!

  • Phillip M.

The portion sizes have been getting smaller and smaller. Today I order a Big Bowl and it wasn't even half full. It had the same amount of food as an original size burrito, so I really don't know what I paid the extra $2 for. Take a look at the pic... I was shocked!

There might be only one characteristic about a burrito that can truly make or break it in the world of Mexican or AmeriMexican fast food. That simple rule is: NEVER USE WHITE RICE. The fact that Boloco uses white rice as their go-to filler in their burrito pushes this chain down the path of burrito obscurity for me. Boloco is supposedly an acronym standing for "Boston Local Company" or something of that nature. Some may remember when this chain was called "The Wrap". Little more than the name was changed when they made the switch. As a Northeastern graduate I've had my fair share of late nights in the computer lab and with limited late night dining options on campus I've had to turn to my campus Boloco more times than I'd like to admit. Admittedly, their burritos are not bad or offensive but therein lies the problem. They take no risks, they have no flair, and all of their burritos taste as if they literally removed most of the flavor so as not to be too offensive to anyone. The best way to describe Boloco is as a provider of "general interest burritos". The prices are pretty standard. One feature that I really like is that they have priced all their items so that with tax included it comes out to an amount divisible by a quarter (e.g. 6.25, 7.50, 7.75). Another feature that I like is that they provide recycling bins for tinfoil and cups. Yet another feature that I also enjoy is that the cups they use are made from corn and are biodegradable no matter what you do with it. As far as smoothies go they fare much better than their food department. The only smoothie I've had from them is the Jimmy Carter and I actually do enjoy it. I originally gave Boloco 2 stars but as I wrote the review I discovered that there is actually a lot I like about this company... just not the food.

I was in the area recently with my daughter as we had some business in the area to conduct, and found ourselves needing to sit down for a quick lunch. I had one of the bowls with the pork and brown rice in it. On the plus side, this chain is a healthier alternative to other fast food joints. However, the medium bowl was what they called small, and both portion size and taste left a lot to be desired. It was forgettable, but as I stated, a healther alternative to a faster food place.

Sub-par to average at best. Quality is lacking. Flavor is weak. Price is good. Presentation, also weak. Smoothies aren't half bad (hence the two stars instead of one). Authenticity is SERIOUSLY lacking (but what does one expect I suppose). Basically as far as fast food goes -- I say go elsewhere. I've eaten here numerous times because it is too convenient not to sometimes. I've never left satisfied.

This location is poorly managed. In three of the last (and final) four times I have been, they had been out of frozen yogurt so they were unable to make a smoothie. On one occasion, they had a little frozen yogurt but said they'd make it anyways. They were very rude when I refused to pay for their concoction.

I ordered a burrito here today, came back to the office, took a bite and YUCK! It was the wrong burrito. I would've eaten it had it not been yucky Bangkok burrito. So, took it back, the woman was really nice, even gave me a refund when I pleaded with her not to. I took the money and they said a replacement burrito would be coming shortly. And it did, and it was wrong again. I told the guy SMALL CLASSIC WITH CHICKEN. I got LARGE CLASSIC WITH CHICKEN AND BEEF. Large I can take. But chicken AND beef?! Do I look crazy or something?! It's not even that delicious. I don't get it - this place doesn't even try to be authentic and yet everyone hates on Qdoba. Bo-crappo is more like it. ********************UPDATE********************* After having posted this review for, what, a day? --the CEO of Boloco, also a Yelper, contacted me about my experience. He was genuine and nice, probably one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. He sent me coupons in the mail - like, a whole stack - for $1 burritos, hoping I'd change my mind about Boloco. And, I have. Kind of. I can concede that I probably ate here on a bad day - I do remember them being really busy - but their burritos are actually tasty. That's what I've learned. While gleefully using my coupons, the chicken has always been succulent and it did occur to me that the ingredients tasted and looked mighty fresh. Today I even ventured for the Mango smoothie. It was simple, seemingly healthy, and delicious. What I'm resigned to is the fact that Boloco seems to have the means to expand their menu with more varities. The appetizer menu features carnitas and more obvious snacks like chips, but it's printed off to the side where almost no one can notice them. Boloco's slogan is "be inspired" but I have yet to understand their inspiration, unless some unusual ingredients count towards that. If they're going with a new age vibe of inspiration and health that could be played up more. I'm promoting Boloco to 3 stars, no longer referring to it as Bo-crappo, and officially adding it to my list of lunchtime loves.

It was really bizarre when QDoba moved in right across the street and suddenly The Wrap became Boloco seemingly overnight. Boloco went from serving "wraps" to serving "burritos." Yet they were the same. So, long story short, as nearly every other reviewer has said here. If you have to buy one burrito get a Buffalo Chicken. It's out of this world. I suggest the upgrade to a large for 95 cents, but both sizes are filling. If you're willing to dig deep and spend another $4, grab a nutella & peanut butter milkshake. It's ridiculous.

Love the Summer Burrito as a salad with tofu. It's an awesome veggie option. I usually add some lettuce, tomato and onion and I appreciate the chain's willingness to let me create my own concoction. The smoothies are good too, and I love adding some banana to the Mango smoothie. Again, nice to allow for some manipulation of their menu choices. I work across the street from this location and go here once every week or two. I've never had a complaint. The staff is great and fast and the food is decent. One thing... The name Boloco is just SO stupid, it reminds me of some late-90s dot-com name. Wish they had stayed with 'The Wrap'.

  • Amanda L.

I don't understand why people think Boloco is so much better than the wrap.....because it's the exact same thing. They just changed the name to Boloco. Whatev I like Boloco, it's not my favorite, but their stuff is pretty tasty. I'm one of the few that doesn't like rice or beans (unless they're refried) in their burrito, so I usually ask for extra veggies, and they give it to me, which is really cool of them. Their smoothies are pretty tasty and I really like getting them in the summer when I want a snack and something to cool me down.

Boloco is a good place to get a good filling burrito. Of course being Mexican I have to say that I have had some good burritos in my day but for a quick burrito pick up it is not to bad at all! I love when they have their free burrito give-aways. I joined their mailing list and it keeps me well up to date about their many specials. My favorite burrito is the summer burrito. I love pinto beans!

I love boloco! I'm originally from new jersey and I wish we had something as local, creative, and delicious like this back home! As a vegetarian (& struggling vegan) I really appreciate the fact that boloco has tofu as an option for protein. I NEVER liked to eat tofu before coming to boloco, which definitely says something. I love the options, I love that you have total creative reign over your food and always end up with something satisfying and delicious. The staff is always friendly and speedy. Besides the delicious food, Boloco also has a number of smoothies to choose from! I'll never forget the day I walked in when Obama was visiting and tried the smoothie of the day, "Obama-rama" , a nutella milkshake with a chocolate chip cookie...pure heaven! And to top it off, every time I request soymilk they warn me of the nonfat frozen yogurt that goes into the smoothie, just in case I am vegan. Overall I love the Boloco experience, and always go in there expecting to walk out a very happy, full, and satisfied customer :)

Visiting from out of town and jonseing for a burrito. Disappointed in the size for the dollar and really disappointed in the flavor, actually lack there of. I had the Classic with chicken and I could not even eat it. My partner had the Summer with steak and she had to take the steak off. So disappointing. Maybe I am expecting too much. If you did Chipotle, Boloco is not for you. I would not spend my time at Boloco again.

I really can't stand fake mexican food, and this is a winner of that. But saying that, the food isn't horrible. the ingredients are decent, and the variety or wraps is a good selection. they have other things as well which is nice. i like their smoothies, but dont even get their salads. they have the most sorriest excuses for salads here, very disappointing. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if its around its not that bad.

Boloco bought out the Wrap chain and I miss the Wrap, not for it's food, but for it's spirit. The Wrap employed many Latin Americans and they always played cool Latin American music that I always enjoyed. Now with Boloco,it seems like only tired students work there and they play strange, bland music. The atmosphere is lost. The makeover inside has made it feel less personal and more corporate. My personal favorite wrap (ok, burrito, whatever) there is the Buffalo Chicken wrap. I enjoy spicy things but this is well balanced with rice, bleu cheese and celery that it can be consumed without taking much of a break to cool off from the buffalo sauce. ----- Above post was made on 2/18. On 3/7, I received a message on Yelp from Brian P, who claimed to have founded the Wrap (I believe him) and was checking out this site and he read my above review. He assures me: "Hey, thanks for the feedback on Yelp... I was googling Boloco and came across it. Just to ease your fears, The Wrap wasn't bought out... and the food, the people, even the music, are still the same. And as a founder of The Wrap (and now Boloco, of course), I assure you our only intent was to improve what we were doing, not to make it seem like we got bought by a huge corporation (which we are not, as you've by now figured out :)) Do me a favor and send me your Boloco card # and I'll pop some points on there just to get you back on a Boloco kick... and if you feel like calling it The Wrap, we have no problem with that at all. Many seem to!" ------------ Well there you go!

I have literally planned my day around Boloco before...my errands happening to be right around where one was, or perhaps nonchalantly suggesting it for lunch to a fellow shopping partner on Newbury Street...it's such a great deal for the money and you can personalize anything! I do agree with some of the previous reviewers...I hate the name change. I think The Wrap was so much more fitting and boasted more options. Either way, stupid name change, same great food. My picks are the Teriyaki with brown rice and chicken or the Mediterranean but nix the black olives. Great for on the run lunches, dinners, or those sudden cravings.

I give it 4 stars because I come here every saturday morning. The staff is really nice and they now know my buddy by name, though they didn't recognize him without his earphones and hat on the other day... The burrito's are pretty good, I'd go with the buffalo (minus the celery), or the caesar, or yolob it and make your own! The best part is the smoothies though, nothing like pureed fruit and a breakfast burrito to take care of a hangover.

    (4)
  • Matt D.

The Buffalo Chicken wrap here is phenomenal (when made correctly). My biggest complaint is that they use celery in it (which ruins the taste of the burrito, if you ask me). They're usually good about catering to special requests however, so asking to have things omitted is typically not a problem at all. From time to time, the staff is a little careless in the wrap-making process. On two seperate occasions I've ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap only to discover that they did not put any buffalo sauce in it! Nothing more satisfying than a bunch of white rice and chicken swimming in blue cheese (ew). Despite these mishaps, this place has fed me more than most places around Northeastern, so I can't knock it. Reasonably priced for the most part. If you're looking for a cheap, light dinner before heading out for the night, I'd recommend the Chicken & Cheese or the Steak & Cheese Snack Wraps. At $3.00 a piece you can't go wrong.

Convenient location, decent prices and they have options for the size of your burrito other then HUGE (Q'doba...) The burritos are really good and they have all different types, not just Mexican. My favorite is the Summer burrito, the mango salsa is delicious.

I refuse to call this place Boloco. It's still the Wrap. Same owners, same food, horrible new color scheme. Anyway, it doesn't get much better for 6 bucks (or even less if you're not getting a large). You're getting a huge burrito that will pretty much fill you up until the next meal and tastes amazing. I'm very partial to the buffalo chicken wrap with no celery, and also to the barbecue wrap. I haven't had a smoothie here, so I won't comment on those. The setup of this place is great. A good number of tables, as well as a little seated area make this a great place to eat your food if you don't want to take it to go. The couches are comfortable (if you can grab a spot on them), and there is Wi-Fi access. Great for those students who live off campus and are just popping in between classes. There's a pitcher of water, too, so you don't have to buy a bottle if you just need to wash down your food. A number of tables are outside on the patio, which is nice on some nights (during the day it sends to be too loud and busy for me).

Well, I eat here about 3 or 4 times a week, that must say it all! haha...I love the wrap, for it's food, for it's convenience, for the quick service. I love it all. I'm a big fan of the buffalo chicken wrap, the bangkok, and the teriyaki. I also love getting the house salad in a wrap with feta cheese. So good. Yes, you can get any salad in a wrap for an easy on the go meal. I do find myself still calling it the wrap, as many do, but I don't think Boloco minds. I'm sure that will eventually fade out as us loyal "wrappers" graduate. (I was actually thinking today how much I was gonna miss having the wrap in my backyard). Don't forget to get the Boloco card. Many people don't know that they have a new card for the new company. You get a point for every dollar you spend and you get a free wrap once you accumulate 50 points (I think). I use mine all the time and recently my roommate was like "I didn't know they had that"...and she eats there all the time too. So make sure to ask for yours!

Boloco likes to call all of their delicious offerings burritos. And while I don't agree that buffalo chicken in a tortilla counts as a burrito when I'm eating one it tastes so good it doesn't really matter what they call it. Bottom line, boloco is great, so much variety, so delicious, right in the middle of campus. My only problem with boloco is the ridiculous amount of money i spend there.

    (4)
  • Calvin C.

Good burritos but it could be better. I hate how you have to pay before they make it. They should do what Chipotle does which is they make the burrito then pay. That way, I can add in anything I want and if I ask for just a bit a buffalo sauce. They always have some new workers learning how to make burritos but its still pretty good. Also, if you work in the Marino Center and you have the shirt, you get a 15% discount which is a great deal.

    (3)
  • Meagan K.

I really like Boloco, because it is inexpensive and I don't feel bad about myself for eating it. Fresh ingredients, plus the wraps are so substantial, I never need to go for the large no matter how hungry I am. I get the regular classic with chicken and add guacomole, and it is delicious. Also, they prepare the food in like .5 seconds, so if there's not much of a line, you can be in and out in 3 minutes.

    (4)
  • vadit s.

Nothing special. It is like a Chipotle...basically you can get a burrito or the same ingredients in a bowl without the tortilla. The bangkok is good with tofu, the peanut sauce has a lot of flavor. The cajun is alright, but pretty filling with all the rice and beans and meat. Good if you are on the go, since it is wrapped in foil and you can just peel away and eat it.

  • Nick Z.

I try and go here only as a last resort at lunch when I'm in the area. Over the last few years, the quality of Boloco's (a/k/a The Wrap's) food has gone downhill. With the opening of Qdoba across the street, they raised their prices without increasing either the quality of the food, or the portions. Even the very tasty hot salsa they'll throw into a traditional burrito doesn't help down the rest of the food easily. Back when I ate meat, the Buffalo Chicken wrap was my favorite, but now, it's only the Bean, Rice & Cheese option for me! I hope they don't rest on their laurels for too long - it would be nice to see a local company succeed here.

The burritos are unique in idea but not implementation. I ordered the Buffalo Wing Burrito which was nice and tangy on the first bite, but by the third, I was a bit overwhelmed. Matthew got the Thai Peanut Sauce one and said it was too bland, despite the bottle of Tobasco he poured over the wrap. Very corporate feeling, good to get something quick, but otherwise there are plenty of better places to go!

  • Christian S.

This place simply sucks. Very unimpressed after all the raves I've heard over this place. You pay 5 dollars for a tiny burrito. The "Cajun Wrap" has absolutely no spices or taste to it. Not only that, the burrito violently find its way into the toliet a couple hours later. I'm sick as a dog from eating there. Not worth it. Go to Qdoba for good tasty food that doesnt get you sick.

  • Charles V.

So I live in California, supposedly the burrito capital of the US, and I can't get over my jonesing for Boloco... most of their burriots are pretty standard fast food burritos, better then Qdoba but nothing really special. But their buffalo chicken wrap? I dream about that thing. So good, so very very good...

This is tasty. Kind of messy. Kind of fresh tasting. But NOT a burrito. I went to this place when it was The Wrap and was disappointed, but I thought I'd give it another shot under its new identity. It's not the worst thing in the world, but with all the burrito options out there, why would I ever go here again?

Mmm Boloco, the Wrap, whatever, I believe it to be basically the same thing. As Mike A's review stated my favorite too is the Buffalo Chicken. DELICIOUS. Also lots of Vitamin Waters to choose from and I am a fan of those. My favorite part, however, at least for this location is that they have some comfy chairs and a small couch/love seat around a table. I love sitting there, it's like hanging out in my living room.

Quick and easy..... nothing really has changed from the days of The Wrap except the name.... Buffalo Chicken wrap (without celery) is still my favorite ($6 for the large one including tax).

Boloco aka The Wrap has a pretty decent selection of vegetarian wraps/burritos that you can alter in any which way you desire. You can watch them make your meal, pointing out if you want more or less of something. The size of the burrito is pretty big so it's worth the money. They even have a pitcher of free water, and free things are always a good thing.

Where oh where did the Wrap go? Now called Boloco I will forever refer to it as The Wrap. Luckily the menu hasn't changed and it remains a perfect lunch spot. Run in here for a quick smoothie and burrito and you will be recharged and ready to go. Best Buy: Cape Coder Smoothie, teriyaki chicken wrap

I like this place a lot. Granted, I only get two kinds of wraps, so I can't judge the menu entirely, but the Summer and Buffalo are pretty good. The smoothies are all great. They have lots of customizeable options, for no charge, including whole wheat tortillas, brown rice, and organic tofu. Very cheap too.

    (4)
  • Anna S.

I love boloco. It is cheap and really good quality food. If you are looking for something healthy they have it too(Brown rice, whole wheat wraps etc.). Good shakes and smoothies. I especially recomend the teryaki wrap with chicken... mmmm...

  • D W.

MMM... Boloco, formerly The Wrap, offers a variety of different rolled up foods. The best part of the wrap has to be the tortilla shell, it is always warm and soft. I usually get a black bean burrito with hot sauce and it always tastes good. I have to agree with Mike though, now that it's Boloco, it's lost a lot of the flare that I enjoyed. It's still one of my favorite take out places.

What is this sad excuse for a Chipotle wannabe? I feel bad for the East Coast people that haven't tried Chipotle yet. This is definitely the worst meal I had in Boston and perhaps the biggest waste of money for a burrito ever.

I can understand you questioning my 4-star rating of Boloco, but I can't help but be addicted to it's range of wraps, burritos, and smoothies. I've been patroning this particular location for years, and while the staff (mostly students) turns over pretty frequently, there's a consistency to the quality that speaks of good training. My largest gripe: this location, unlike most others, schedules around the Northeastern calendar, and is typically closed during holiday breaks and intersession. While this is more than understandable, it can be frustrating for year-round patrons. Finally, don't be afraid to try the tofu. It's got a nice firm texture and is great in almost all the wraps/burritos (buffalo and teriaki above all others).

Staff is cool. Food is tight. Wait times are sometimes not super awesome. It can get a little bit messier than one might prefer during busier times. The available seating in the restaurant may also be insufficient when it's busy, this is compensated by the seating available inside the Marino center and the outdoor seating which is abundant. Some of the sauces aren't great examples of those particular sauces. Go here I guess. or qdoba if you wanna be a corporate whore

Chipotle over Qdoba over Boloco. I don't know what more to say. I've been there only once , and decided not to go there again. And I haven't seen any individual that likes Boloco, so I guess its not just me that doesn't prefer this place.

Good job on the marketing and play with words. "Boloco....inspired burritos". Than this place did its job. Their burritos hopes to one day inspire to become a good stainable burrito. I really can't say anything good about their food because every time I have it, it really disappoints me. Flavors are wacky and it doesn't taste like a burrito you would get from a Anna's or Boca grande. They really should advertise as inspired wraps....to be honest. It is more than that than anything mexican. Don't waste your $ on chips or guacamole....not good! I would only recommend their shakes/smoothies and go in to suck up their AC and wi-fi. Decent.

This review is solely for the nutella milkshake. I got a small milkshake (made with nutella, skim milk, non-fat frozen yogurt) with whey, and it was full of all kinds of amazing. You can definitely taste the awesomeness known as hazelnut chocolate. My only complaint is that it's pretty pricey for such a small milkshake. :[ Either lowering prices or having more giant portions would make me happier. :O I was pretty curious about all the different burritos (probably better termed as "wraps," since they're definitely not what comes to mind in a traditional burrito), but we were on the way to the museum and not quite hungry yet, so nope! My friend says the breakfast wraps are really good here, and I like that they have so many different options.

I'm a Boloco fan. I have a Boloco card. With that being said, The burritos here aren't authentic Mexican, obviously. It's the chubby American cousin (Think Dudley from Harry Potter, minus the accent). Delicious! I always get the classic mexican burrito (the irony of the whole thing...) with tofu and the cookie monster shake. Nom. If you want a hearty meal that will keep you full for at least 3 hours, go here. It's not Chipotle, but in this case, its a good thing. I usually end up talking to the cashier and everyone seems to be in a decent mood, which is nice to see. The atmosphere is nice here, I've eaten inside a few times and it's never too busy but not dead quiet either. I like it a lot.

I am a huge fan of Boloco - this location in particular is great at moving people through so don't let a long line of students, confused visiting parents or groups of staff members deter you. I went in to try one of the new burritos - The Spicy BLT. It was OK. I think I'm just too in love with the Yucatan Habanero. My one Boloco improvement -- I wish that they would ask (even if just on occasion) if you have a Boloco card, or "Would you like me to swipe your Boloco card?" because I often forget! And they won't give you a receipt unless you ask... so you cannot redeem the points later. Other than that -- I LOVE BOLOCO!

This is a failed attempt at competing with other similar restaurants like Chipotle and Qdoba. Nothing special and the portion sizes just can't compete with its competition. Luckily I don't live near this chain. This could be tasty at 3am when I'm not fully aware of what I'm eating. I liked that they offered smoothies and shakes. However, again, the size of the shake left more to be desired. Overall, Boloco just comes up short.

This is my spot for Saturday/Sundays when booze is still flowing through my veins or even after a long night's rest. Buffalo chicken, classic mexicans, and even my own creations from the goloco selections make this place a great option for a burrito on a weekend morning. They have deals often, so get yourself a boloco card and make sure you swipe on every visit so you can earn yourself some free stuff. And now they have breakfast burritos too which is awesome. They taste average. Eggs are a little watery, but overall it is a cool option to have. The smoothies - Berry Blitz smoothies are a hangover cure and taste great. Jimmy carter makes for a great post Marino workout shake (just add a scoop of whey for $.50) The staff is patient and always willing to adjust your order if you forget something, or generously fix any mistakes they make. Overall, solid place to grab a quick bite around the city of boston. I really hope they expand to more places in the US soon.

Pretty good! I like that they have specialty burritos, even though I tend to not be very adventurous when I crave da 'reets. Their mango salsa is great, though. dat summer burrito... Yum. And I like their shakes and smoothies! They have a cool soda machine, too. They tend to be a bit on the pricey side for burritos (about $1 more than what I'd pay elsewhere), but I don't really mind. I mostly go whenever I have enough points for a free one or if there's an event for freebies, heh heh. Oh, and I like that their cups and stuff are biodegradable, too. I've had a few problems before with their rice, because sometimes it's undercooked and other times, it's overcooked... but this hasn't happened too often.

I loved the food here! Maybe it's because I'm from SoCal and appreciate a good soybean dish, but the Yucatan Habanero burrito and bowl with the grilled tofu was A-MAZING. I ordered it both times I went there because I loved it so much. My friend liked the Memphis BBQ and the Bangkok Thai burritos. Awesome!

I am from Seattle- the land of chipotle and qdoba. I'm now a student at northeastern, and I am here every day (no joke). I always get a goloco with tofu and a soy berry shake if I'm not that hungry. Both are extremely nutritious (LOVE that they have both brown rice and wheat tortillas) and filling. Not to mention- everything I have tried tastes fantastic. The staff is always friendly, and the room is great for lounging/studying, etc. They accept husky dollars (bonus) and their points/rewards system is fantastic. They also have great music playing all the time (from Ed Sheeran to Spanish salsa music). I bring my family here whenever they come visit, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

What are you, Boloco? Are you one of those "pseudo-Mexican" burrito places, or are you one of those "let's wrap hipster ingredients up into a tortilla and call it innovative" wrap places? Frankly, you don't do either one very well. The first time, I had no idea what I was doing... so I ordered the spicy BLT. The bacon was cold, the iceberg lettuce was overwhelmingly abundant. The sauce was great, but it couldn't save the wrap (burrito??) as a whole. I figured that maybe I ordered the wrong thing, and decided to go more "pseudo-Mexican" the second time, ordering a cajun chicken burrito. It had beans! And rice! And salsa! And it fell completely flat! So if the wraps are subpar and the burritos are subpar, what do I order here?? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a secret menu only available to the Boston in-crowd? Because if not, I can get better chain burritos at Chipotle, and better chain wraps at Panera or Au Bon Pain. (Now that I've crapped all over you, Boloco, time to pull the punches a bit and say something nice -- Your milkshakes and cookies are pretty good. Your burrito "sizes" are cool too; better than the "one size fits every fatty who walks in" behemoth that Chipotle gives you.)

OH_MY_GOSH! I'm eating the new Simple Curry Burrito Bowl right now, and it's like Boloco went into my dreams, stole my ideas, and created my dream dinner. They were super busy tonight, and a little chintzy with everything, so I had them pretty much add more random junk at the end. They forgot the cauliflower in my bowl, so the only Indian-y thing in there was the curry sauce. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Get out of my dreams and into my mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Boloco has to be my all-time favorite for on-campus eateries, and it's at the top for quick food joints as well (fast food has a negative connotation.) Two burritos duke it out to claim the title of my favorite, and I struggle every time I go in: the Buffalo and the Bangkok Thai. How are they both so delicious?? I get my blue cheese dressing on the side for the Buffalo since you can control how much goes on your burrito. This is one of the reasons why I love Boloco: accommodating service. I had a great experience on Valentine's Day this year, and although I don't remember the name of the cashier, he was super helpful, friendly, and very upbeat (not to mention the delish and FREE chocolate chip heart cookies...) When friends visit from out of town, Boloco is a necessity for newcomers and frequenters alike. My only suggestion has finally been addressed: ordering online or from a mobile device. I just added the Boloco app to my phone, and I can't wait to use it. Great company, great philosophy, and of course-great food. Cheers to a job well-done!

I've never eaten at Boloco, I've only had it delivered. The burritos are really good - they're very different. Boloco is no Chipotle copycat... it's its own beast. And i like it! You have to give in and get one of their standard burritos, or else you run the risk of getting something boring. Their shakes are also delicious! I like the cookie monster a lot. I just wish the delivery fees weren't so high.

As an avid burrito lover- I was always hesitant of eating at Boloco.. especially with the word inspired in front of the word burrito. In a perfect world- burritos are left just the way they are meant to be. But- with nothing else open and a short break from a stressful meeting- I found myself staring mindlessly up at the menu not knowing where to start. I was tickled to discover the brown rice option as well as the wheat tortillas. I had to tell myself to not think of this as a burrito, but when they wrapped mine in the tinfoil, I knew I couldn't fool myself anymore. I was surprised that it was full of flavor even though the brown rice and wheat flavor posed a threat. It came out extremely quick, hot- and I hate to admit I was beyond satisfied. This will definitely only be desperate burrito visits- but it will always be an option from this point forward!

I've ordered delivery from Boloco several times, and though I was hoping that each time the food would be better, it's not. The burritos are consistently dry and filled almost exclusively with rice. I really like the mango summer salsa, but I'm upset when I can barely taste it. I like the fact that you can order a mini burrito -- they're the perfect size for a late-night snack. And the shakes are amazing. The nutella one, especially, is to die for. I may have to come in person and give this another shot.

Not my favorite Burritos in the world, but everything else makes up for it. Great service and I love the Coke machine that let's you mix and match your favorite flavors (Cherry & Vanilla Diet Coke / Coke Zero!). Only complaints are that there could be a little more kick to cajun style and there cane be waits due to the fact that you're on a college campus.

Oh, Boloco. As a FREQUENT lunch denizen, I don't even want to fathom how much money I have spent at your stores over the years (I probably became somewhat of a "regular" around 2004-05... I'll stop now before I start doing any more math). Of course, that's a good thing, as I keep coming back for a reason! The food, of course, is great. The ingredients are always fresh and high quality - in particular, the tofu is excellent! This makes me very happy, as there are few restaurants that offer it as an option, and even less that get it right. It's flavorful enough to be delicious on its own, but not too overwhelming, either, which enables it to be added to pretty much any burrito, salad or custom creation. Believe me, I've tried a bunch, and they've all worked out quite nicely. These days, I have my "regular" option (a custom "Goloco" bowl) that I usually go with, and it's always consistent and very good. Their online nutrition calculator is also a godsend if you're calorie/nutrient conscious. As for locations, Boloco has quite a bit of them spaced conveniently around the city, which is great because I have occasionally found myself low on energy and in need of an emergency smoothie (Soy Berry Shake is my go-to) - and hey, what do you know, there's a Boloco just a few blocks away! There are a handful of stores that I bounce between often, but I've been digging the Northeastern location recently because of the ample seating. The staff (as with pretty much any Boloco) is excellent and friendly as well. Even after a recent (small) increase across their menu, Boloco's prices have remained reasonable and competitive, considering the high quality of their ingredients AND the fact that they are a local chain. And even better than their great prices? The Boloco card, a MUST if you are a regular visitor to any degree. With the ability to get any menu item for free after just $50 spent, I find myself accumulating free burritos/bowls often, and that makes me very, very happy. It's simply one of the BEST loyalty programs around. They even added Level Up as a payment option recently, which is awesome -although for me, personally, the Boloco card rewards offer a bit better value. You really can't go wrong, though! I feel like I could ramble on and on with praise, but long story short, Boloco is one of my absolute favorite Boston-area establishments, and couldn't receive a higher recommendation from me.

I have been to Boloco Northeastern over a hundred times. According to FourSquare I have checked in 60 times, but I probably went 60 times before I even got FourSquare.. in the summer I probably go at least once a week and in the winter maybe twice a week. I love Boloco burritos. LOVE THEM. If they were a person, I'd probably marry them. I always say that about Boloco burritos and Sam Adams beer. Having expressed my undying love for the food, the location... meh. I also used to love the NU location, not just b/c I am an alum but also b/c it's kind of close to my job, it's a central meeting place for lunch with my best friend. Once, the cashier guy was flat out RUDE to me b/c I wanted to add extra things on my burrito. There's one particular girl, if she's wrapping them, then the quality and the job is amazing but otherwise, my burritos are always wrapped sloppy. ALWAYS. Dude, I don't even get "protein" in my burritos... I usually get a small or a mini w/ "no meat." Even though a Classic SAYS on the menu "cilantro." They almost never put it in, and when I say yell across the glass pane "cilantro.." they give me attitude. ---- This almost always happens. Today, I went in for my "freebie." I got an original classic w/ no meat and some add ons like celery, hot sauce, etc.. It was not a full burrito so I don't understand why the job was so sloppy. It was not busy when I went in, so I don't know why the dude was in a hurry. Unless it's the one particular girl who I mentioned above is wrapping them, I almost always get a "bowl" b/c I am afraid to be disappointed. I really don't wanna stop going, because (as mentioned above) I love boloco burritos and the quality of the food and the ingredients and etc... But, stop breaking my heart! ---- Let's talk about cleanliness... I have been to many fast food joints, where you can tell whether the people actually give a care or not. I have been to a place, which is always always busy but they still have someone come out, and clean the tables, and organize the chairs so that the people waiting in line to order and pick up the food can find a clean place to sit. Today, as always, there were no clean tables to be found. I don't understand how hard is it to fund one employee who can be like a secondary cashier and primary "table cleaner" As in, your first and foremost job is to make sure that the establishment is sittable. Yes I know this location is in the marino center, and there are plenty of tables and chairs OUTSIDE of Boloco where people can sit in the Marino common area... but seriously. Be like hey "so and so" today your job is to make sure the place is clean, even when it's busy, walk around make sure everything is in order. People like being able to order fast, and have their food be ready fast, yes that is true, but people also like a clean place to sit when it's busy.

That Mediterranean salad/burrito is to die for! Miss it almost as much as I miss Boston itself. So good, not so great for you, but soooo good! The smoothies are pretty yummy too. Try Boloco, you won't be disappointed!

I'm a huge fan of this Boloco. The staff are always super friendly, even when I'm totally out of it, and the food usually comes quickly. I love the Yucatan Habernaro and the Simple Curry Burrito is a great idea too. Also, the comfy chairs up in front are a great place to sit and relax with a few friends while you drink a milkshake and munch on a burrito. I guess the only think I'd change is that the shakes can be a little pricey. And I'd personally love it if the Yucatan Habernaro was even hotter, but that's just me. When I'm at Northeastern and I'm looking for a quick dinner, Boloco is who I turn to.

Hands down, best on-the-go option in the city. Unique, satisfying menu items that don't leave you feeling like you need to take a nap as soon you finish eating. Love that they're open until 11PM. I'm a student at Northeastern, and I have a hard time not stopping in every time I walk by - the Buffalo w/ chicken is to DIE for, and I never stray. I did try the new tikka masala burrito, and it was delicious. If I ever open my own business, I'm paralleling Boloco's business model and culture - 100% focused on their customer's satisfaction... I'm routinely receiving emails with unique promotional offerings... Buy 2 Get 2 free on Superbowl Sunday? Free burrito on your birthday? You name it. Boloco, you hit the nail on the head, and I look forward to your continued growth !!

Huge fan of Boloco. The Yucatan Habanero burrito is absolutely Delicious and it has the perfect amount of kick! The smoothies are also very good, particularly the cookies n cream. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. Boloco is also very active in the Boston community and that is always worth an additional star. I will eat at Boloco whenever I get the opportunity.

Boloco makes a quality burrito. It's a rather simple menu, but it has all you really need in a burrito joint. Also, the prices are quite fair. The service at the Northeastern location has been very good during my experiences. When I was there this week the cashier even complimented my jacket. In all fairness -- it was a nice jacket.

This will probably be my shortest review ever: Boloco is garbage. That is all. (Seriously, the "burritos" should immediately be placed in a trash bin upon purchase) EDIT: I should note that I only tried this branch once and got the buffalo chicken and it was virtually tasteless (when celery overpowers buffalo sauce something is wrong). I tried the other branch that used to be on the corner of Mass Ave and Boylston which is where my burrito was actually gross and had to be thrown away, though I couldn't find that one on the list. Sorry to the one at Marino, I guess you'd be a 2 star if it weren't for your counterpart.

Boloco is almost a second home. It was the one thing I missed (aside from cheesesteaks in general) while I was in Prague. Boloco often inspires a sense of person to burrito loyalty. For instance, I will never order anything other than a buffalo chicken burrito. I think it is perfect and have never branched out. As has been mentioned, boloco is green and involved in their community. They do a good job at keeping in touch with customers and staying current.

Yummy and cheap. Def a fan, especially the Yucatan Habanero. August 2012 update: I've been making a concerted effort to eat healthy this summer. You definitely don't have to sacrifice taste for nutrition here. I recommend the small Tikka Masala bowl. It's a perfect size. Skipping the tortilla saves carbs, calories and sodium. Add tomato, lettuce, Habanero salsa if you like things spicy. All under 400 calories.

I'm a pretty picker burrito-eater. I don't think there's one on the boloco menu I wouldn't modify in some way. Even so, I got my first burrito here last week and I have to say, the flavors were pretty...meh. I got brown rice, black beans, carnitas, cheese and sour cream on a whole wheat tortilla. And even though I know I'm boring, I was really hoping the seasoning on the meat would shine through. Now at least I know to kick it up a notch with some hot sauce. Two things I really liked about boloco: 1. They are a well-oiled machine. My burrito was done in about 8.5 seconds. I watched it go down the line. I understand that burritos aren't complicated, but we've all been in fast food situations that weren't so fast. 2. Love love LOVE their website. I love the fact that I can order my complicated burrito online and the level of detail in the ingredients is great. This also goes for the nutrition calculator- what a piece of genius this is. By adding and subtracting ingredients, I came up with the right combo for me. For folks who are watching their caloric intake, this is a godsend. I might go back. I might not. I think I enjoy the burrito bar at Whole Foods Fresh Pond better! And real mexican food, without a doubt. But this place is close to work and I'll know exactly how many calories I'm consuming, so it might win out next time I'm bored with the local selection.

I am from Austin, Texas and I'm visiting Boston for an extended vacation. I went to Boloco for the first time the other day due to my friend's urging. I have pretty high standards when it comes to Mexican food, but Boloco more than satisfied my craving. I had previously visited Qdoba across the street, and did not enjoy it at all thus taking a hiatus from Mexican food in the northeast. Since coming to Boloco and having the Bangkok Thai, I have definitely changed my mind. I can only say I wish we had a store in Austin. :) Keep up the good work!

Quick service, friendly employees, and great burritos. The prices are fair, and the portions are just right, and boloco offers a fully customizable menu along with several pre-determined options. My personal favorites are the yucatan habanero, teriyaki, and memphis bbq flavors, although anything on the menu is pretty tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Yes, I love burritos. No, I'm not a burrito snob. I don't care if it's "authentic" or if it's more of a wrap than an actual burrito. If it tastes good I will eat it and want to go back for another. Boloco is basically a fast-food burrito place - kind of like the Subway of burritos. I went for the first time yesterday (with friend who has a burrito card and has tried and liked all of the burrito options) and yes I would go back. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and my burrito/wrap was super tasty and satisfying. The whole wheat tortilla was a bonus. Plus, there's outdoor seating at this location!

I have been here twice during my time at Northeastern. First time, i got a burrito bowl. The rice was dry and I found a hair in my food. Disgusting. I didn't go back for the rest of the year then my friend told me they had "amazing" Nutella milkshakes. I paid 3.50 for a mini sized milk shake and LITERALLY (i timed it) waited 25 minutes while one guy was scooping ice cream at snail speed and he gave the 6 people behind me in line their milkshakes before I got mine. I came in with a group and I know when we all order milkshakes it will take a while, but this is ridiculous. I was the 2nd person of our 5 person group to order and not only did everyone in my group get their milkshake before me, a person who came in 10 min after us and ordered one got his before me. They went way out of order with the paper slips, the employees didn't care at all, I have places to be and I know i will NEVER waste my time at this place again.

This place is dismal. Three of us got burritos there, and nobody was happy. They're heavy on the rice and beans, and light on the flavor. My wrap could've been salvaged by adding tomatoes to the recipe; instead it was heavy and bland. You'd be loco to eat here when so many yummy and healthy alternatives are nearby.

  • Chrisine C.

Ok so I don't want to bore you with the obvious - (fresh ingredients, huge selection) - but I do want to state that this place has the most awesome staff. I travel all the way from New York for your wraps!! Chipotle has nothing on you - you have 3x the selection!! Bring back the BIG GREEN!!! (minus the salsa, add buffalo sauce). I'll be back soon!!

Boloco never disappoints! I went there last night and it was delicious. The staff members were very polite and friendly as well. I normally stick to the Classic Mexican burrito with chicken and fajita veggies - yum! If you have time in the morning, their breakfast burritos are ridiculous. I love the Truck Stop! The only thing that Boloco is missing is a good queso sauce like the ones at Qdoba or Moe's... but they still have a leg up with those Nutella milkshakes!

I'm a sucker for great service which is why i'm giving this place 5 stars. I went here twice this past weekend with my AAU team which was a group of 10 hungry teenagers after 2 basketball games and their parents. We pretty much took over the place and the staff at boloco moved us along. Even better, an item i ordered was out of stock so i got a free menu item card which i will use soon enough. And their coke machine is the coolest thing i've seen.

For someone who isn't a huge fan of burritos, this place is definitely one of my favorites. I like that they have "Terriyaki" and "Ceasar" burritos too. It's always fast and clean which is a plus, too. And I think they have mini sizes now? Yay!

I never realized how fortunate I was to have 4 great food places right be on campus until after I graduated. I'm referring to Qdoba, Chicken Lou's, Good Eats, and of course Boloco. Boloco used to be called "The Wrap" which is a lot better name (and catchier) for a wrap place, but I think they got sued or something and had to change the name. The wraps (which actually are a lot more like burritos, but whatever) they serve here are big enough for a meal and are nothing short of scrumptious. The buffalo chicken wrap is especially good. All of their meat and ingredients taste fresh. Smoothies are also a big draw here and taste great (I'm a fan of the Jimmy Carter).

This Boloco was one of the best parts of my college years! Thank you Boloco for introducing me to delicious burritos!!! I'm a fan of the classic myself but I do enjoy a buff chick every now and then. I'm also a big fan of the smoothies. Perfect post workout refresher if you ask me and you can even request to add whey protein if you're yanno... tryna get big. (lol) All in all, I love Boloco and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Easy eating. Unwrap the foil wrap away from the edible steamed wrap. Open mouth. You get Japanese, American, Vegan, Bostonian styles. Used to be the Wrap, so those who try to compare these to a burrito definitely shouldn't. Generally good flavors and okay prices. Convenient, fast when you want your veggies, starches, and salts in one bite. And lastly, I didn't necessarily hear this directly from Boloco management, but my trusty friend informed me that Boloco goes loco with local foods and they do their part in recycling their waste (but I think all of the waste I create after unwrapping, unwrapping ... goes into the trash).

UPDATE: I've been back to Boloco a few more times over the past several weeks, and I must say the chip situation seems to be improved. I'm not sure if the recipe or type of chip has changed (maybe the ones I had in my first few visits were stale), but they were much better than before. Upgraded to 4 stars! Boloco is good for a change of pace. Their burritos are nothing like you've ever seen and the ingredients can be pretty exotic, for a burrito anyway. The chips, frankly, aren't very good. They taste like they came out of a bag (which they probably did) and are mostly flavorless. The salsas are quite good, though, and make up for the chips' lacking flavor. I'd give Boloco 4 stars if they could make their own fresh chips with salt and lime!

Wow whats up with all these hatred against boloco? When I come here I expect to try a different kind of burrito, maybe more asian, more american. not mexican. C'mon what kind of authentic mexican restaurant serve teriyaki and buffalo?! NONEYA. Well when I want a quick bite I go here all the time with my boyfriend. We usually get the teriyaki with chicken (no onions), and the buffalo with chicken. We always enjoy the taste and feel satisfied after the bite. You know that greasy regretful feeling after eating at a fast food? Not here, I feel goood! da na na na na na lol Although everything is a bit pricy for their portion, I feel like no other restaurant make their burrito unique like here. Also I like their mini shakes, the one that I've been loving is the nutella. Mm Mm..

Boloco is really a poor excuse for Mexican food, says this itinerant Californian. I had the blue cheese chicken or something to that effect, and I ate nothing worth mentioning. Really bland. Will say that at this branch the service was excellent.

See my review of Qdoba to get an idea about where I come from... ...the tofu style burritos really save the day, but otherwise nothing to rave about. Better than the major chain alternatives.

Food is always great and usually pretty quick line. If I didn't drop $12 every time I ordered I'd be here everyday...so I come every other day.

AWESOME tofu burritos! I like how you can make a custom burrito =) Lots of different things to put inside them.. the basics plus black bean hummus and all this cool stuff. I'm saying between 3 and 4 stars but it's soooo not authentic Mexican food (I'm from California). Good location though =) Can't wait to try the smoothies!!!

Boloco is fantastic. I'm a big fan of the classic burrito but don't be afraid to try others, they are all really tasty. On top of that the smoothies and other frozen drinks are great as well. There are even some healthier options on the menu in regards to smoothies. I would definitely check Boloco out if you are looking for a quick bite or even a place to eat with some friends. It is much more satisfying than their competing neighbor nextdoor.

I also used to avoid Boloco like some other people have mentioned and always went to Au Bon Pain or Qdoba across the street, but I'm soo happy I've decided to finally give it a chance. I love love that they offer brown rice and whole wheat tortillas. The buffalo chicken wrap is really yummy and all the nutritional info is provided on the website and easy to figure out. I only wish it would move to a different location so I don't have to be tempted every time i leave the gym!

They have burritos. They offer wheat tortillas AND brown rice. AND SMOOTHIES. Be still my heart. My Yelp fan base back in New York is well aware that I find smoothies to be the second most perfect food (drink?) in existence under sushi. And this place delivers. The cape codder is orgasmicly tart, I enjoy the whey out protein and the soy smoothie is pretty phenom. And a small is $3.50. I LIKE YOU, BOLOCO. The summer burrito with extra hot sauce makes me almost forget about the fact that not too long ago, I was a huge Qdoba fan. Move over Qdoba, you loser. Don't you know that you can't have me without a blender?

I'm a bit biased when it comes to Mexican food in the States because I have the luxury of living in California when school is out, but Boloco does the job when I'm craving a burrito. I stay away from their "inspired" and just order the classic because really... I'd rather not. If you haven't checked out the new space it looks good! But the City of Boston took away the extra seating they had in the middle because it was a violation - they better get on that!

Not a big fan of the food here, but I absolutely love their "The Milkshake" with Nutella. Nutella is so under-appreciated I am so glad to see this place shows it the love it deserves. If you are a nutella freak like me also check out the "Nutella Frozen Hot Chocolate" smoothie at Paris Crepes in Coolidge Corner (Brookline). Respect to the N-U-T-E-L-L-A.

I used to avoid Boloco. I never once went to "The Wrap," and even shied away for a bit after the change. Then a friend convinced me to go one day, and I got the Teriyaki... and my life hasn't been the same since. I went so often I eventually got a Boloco card, so I could rack up points for every dollar I spend, and get a free burrito for every 50 points. I think I've gotten well over a hundred burritos, but that's just a guess. I'm in there almost every other day, sometimes twice in a day. I walk in, and if Cameron is working, he puts in my order before I even get to the register (and no, we're not friends; I just go there THAT much that I even know his name). Sure, they screw up every so often. But it's okay, because when they do, they're usually nice about it, or at least they fix it pretty quickly and don't try to argue and tell you that you're wrong, you actually ordered the wrong thing and they're just making what you ordered. Sometimes they'll give you a coupon for a $1 burrito if they screw up, too. This is hands-down my favorite Boloco location... and I've been to 4. This one has the friendliest staff (though that might just be because they see me in there all the time) and the best layout. The music usually sucks, but at least you can go and sit out in the Marino Center, or sit outside if the weather's nice enough (none of the other locations I've been to have outside seating). I'm the pickiest eater in the world. I just don't DO burritos. But Boloco is different. They're not spicy, you can omit things or change things (I get the large chicken teriyaki, but with no onions, white rice instead of brown rice, and a flour tortilla instead of a whole wheat one... every time), etc. Boloco is one of my favorite places to eat, and this is definitely my favorite Boloco. And my reviews are too long.

As J Jonah Jameson would say, "crap, crap, supercrap". +1 for their good albeit overpriced smoothies -1 star for changing the name from the wrap to "BOLOCO" what's a boloco? -1 for overcooking and drying out their steak to taste like dehydrated ramen chicken -2 stars for burning their chicken. Every time (dozens) i've had a chicken caesar wrap here, they've burned the chicken so that the outside is hard and cut up the inside of my mouth

Love this place! So much better than the other options around here and they don't just have normal burritos. I'm addicted to the Yucatan now and the Cape Codder smoothie!

The cups are made of corn! Yeahy for recycling and biodegradable plastic products! Also yeahy for healthy options like brown rice and wheat tortillas. I'm a fan of a bunch of the burritos here, especially the Teriyaki with chicken or the Summer. I also like the Cape Codder smoothie and the Jimmy Carter is delicioso too. The smoothies are real good even though most of them aren't too thick. This Boloco takes Husky dollars and has music outside during the summer which is lots of fun and makes it kinda special.

They have above average burritos. What they offer is this: Brown rice and whole wheat tortillas. This menas if I know I will not be eating for 10+ hours (busy day) I can get these options for a healthier meal. Love the Cajun spiced chicken burrito Love the frequent buyers card...I have earned some free burritos. Love that they have the chipotle tabasco sauce...THANK YOU!!! The best thing: They know how to wrap a burrito...it it nice and tight as opposed to some chains that give you a loose messy wrap with burrito fillings.

I'm sorry. Ever since they got rid of their BBQ sauce, none of their burritos are edible to me. And it makes me sad because they do make a very good burrito, I just don't like how they taste without that sauce. Why would they get rid of the most popular type of sauce to be had in combination with food?!? WHY?

I think it's funny that if you search "Boloco" on Yelp, every other location in and around Boston comes up as Mexican but the one on Huntington is considered Fast Food. I mean, this *is* fast food....just sayin'. Now, maybe you don't think Boloco deserves 4 stars. I didn't either. I try to stick it to the man and avoid chains and I seldom eat fast food, but have you TRIED the Bangkok burrito with tofu? Have you? I've been thinking about trying the Buffalo burrito next. If you go to the Boloco website, you can figure out the nutritional info for you food, and I am proud to say my regular-sized burrito fix makes for a pretty decent lunch. There's always a place to sit in this one, plus your snooty friends can go to Au Bon Pain (but, trust me on this one, they'll call it ABP). Oh, don't get a standard burrito at Boloco, they totally suck. Good luck!

Boloco is great, and so is this location, for the most part. They used to be faster at serving, when a guy I think named Gabriel was running the place. Now, the service isn't all that great, but the food is. It's always cold in this one near Marino, no matter the season. Nevertheless, Boloco is a delicious Boston local treat. It deserves 5 stars despite its downsides.

I go here a lot when I am starving and have forgotten to eat all day usually because I am busy within the Boloco neighborhood. Boloco is a reliable bet to me, good, FAST, reasonably priced and fresh. Even though the names have changed of the restaurant over its years of establishment at the Marino Center (previously "The Wrap") I feel like the same people have worked there and the refreshments available in the side coolers are the same (Vitamin waters, diet coke, coke, Sprite...) The smoothies are fantastic if you got the Benjamins (sinfully overpriced).

I've liked this place for a while, but I never really fell in love until they introduced their Yucatan habenero burrito. It is heavenly. Heavenly! The staff is generally nice (which is sometimes rare for a place staffed by college kids), it's super easy to be picky and customize to your heart's content (which I love), and they have some nice big comfy chairs. Good stuff.

I really feel like boloco is a company that "gets it," in more ways than one: -Burritos extend past the standard "rice, beans, cheese, tomatoes, and meat" fare. I know, it's not exactly Mexican, but Yelp lists boloco as fast food instead of Mexican for a reason. It's nice to have a change of pace in a burrito. -Customer service is always really cool here. I don't mean to hate on fast food/counter service places that hire people who can't speak English... but it's nice to have people that are friendly and can also converse with you. -Getting a boloco card has a million benefits. Spend $50 and get a free burrito, and whenever they launch a new burrito or special event, they'll give you another one just for being you. -John Pepper, the CEO, is awesome. He really seems with it- he'll use twitter (I know, I know) to get feedback from customers, and he actually seems to care about making things right when they go wrong (Consumerist has a nice rave about him here: is.gd/5UAd6 ) I could continue to rave about Boloco... but I won't. Try it. You'll like it.

To quote Aretha: BOLOCO puts crack in their rice. I know it. Really? Must Bostonians be inspired to have burritos? Do they even know what real burritos taste like? I had the regular size Summer steak burrito and this little thing came in the bag when I picked it up. That's it? In two bits, I was done. It tasted good, but for what I paid for, I expected so much more. Next!
