I live in the North End and work in Chinatown and I honestly think this is the best Chinese I've had in the city. After eating here you don't feel awful or completely overloaded with grease. I tend to get their mushu chicken and haven't been disappointed yet. I've never had their sushi and am not sure I ever will just as it does seem overpriced. My biggest gripe with this place has to be the price as I don't think an easy dinner of take out should run two people $40+.

I work right next to this restaurant but have actually never eaten there before. My co-worker wanted this as his birthday lunch so that's what we did. We basically placed an order for a variety of things & shared it, which worked out well. As a vegetarian I ended getting something special for me to be able to eat just in case. I was surprised at how greasy the spring rolls were, my co-workers & I were not a fan of that. People enjoyed the veg lo mein, beef & broccoli, shrimp fried rice, chicken fingers & these ravioli/wonton type things. I think the ambiance is pretty cool since they have a sushi bar apart from the dining room so it is a decent size place. Another perk is their windows open so it makes for nice outdoorish dining.

I have been a fan of Billy's for over 15 years. Consistent Chinese and Sushi. Outside of Chinatown, Boston is severely lacking in quality Chinese restaurants. Billy Tse's fills a huge void. The fact that they have been in business so long in a location that is literally steps from 100's of Italian restaurants says something ... I would recommend William Tse's ... Peace and Love

This was our first time here. The food was average nothing special. Would probably try a new place next time around.

very overpriced sushi that taste like the stop&shop ones. the chinese food isn't any better either. it's like paying ferrari price and getting a honda.

I've been many times (usually at the height of lunch service) but went today at 3:30. OMG. There wasn't a sole in site as you cruised through the sushi bar area (ok, understandable). There wasn't a sole at the host desk... Again, I get it, it was a quiet afternoon. I head to the rear bar and oh I found staff.... They were asleep at various tables! One got up to wait on me while another just kept on sleeping. Awkward. As always, the food was fine. Man do I love their egg rolls.

Always loved this place when food was delivered to work over the years. Sorry, the last couple of times seems like the food has gone way downhill. Lo mein tough and tasteless, Peking ravioli under done, even the hot and sour was bland...and the little taste it did have was putrid. What has happened to you Billy?

    (1)
  • Sara S.

Billy, I don't know your story. You're pretty out-of-place in the North End, serving Chinese food and sushi. Arguably a bit overpriced, you may also be worth a convenience fee since you're the only non-Italian cuisine in the NE (basically). Your hot and sour and wonton are some of the best I've had in Boston, and your sushi hits the spot when I'm hankering for a spicy tuna or veggie roll. Billy Tse's is convenient, fun with friends, has a full bar, and will tolerate a degree of nonsense. However, if this is a celebration/date night/something special/want authentic, go elsewhere.

Recently ordered delivery from Bill Tse's during a rain/snow/sleet storm and the food was delivered in an hour and a half... not bad considering the weather. The food is good and comparable price-wise with other Chinese food places in the city. You have to spend a minimum of $20 in order to have food delivered but there is NO extra delivery charge (besides tip, obviously). So, that's a plus too. My only complaint was the food was a tad bit cold once it got to my apartment. Only being a 5 minute walk and just on the other side of the North End, this was a little disappointing. Otherwise, great food!

  • Richard B.

The food is subpar. We had the kungpao chicken which was nothing but a plate of peanuts and loaded with msg. The flavor profiles were not good. The rice was very dry. Would never return.

No. Just...no. It really isn't good. The first time I came here, I made the mistake of ordering sushi. It was below average, but I blamed myself more than the restaurant. I should have known not to go for sushi at a fusion place. For my second experience at this not-so-lovely establishment, so much time had passed that I had forgotten the name of the restaurant and unfortunately agreed to go back. Luckily, I did remember to not order sushi again. But the Chinese food (sesame chicken, to be exact) was such a disappointment, even more so than the sushi. It was a big plate of little bits of fried chicken rolled around in sweet sauce. That is not my idea of a dinner. The seaweed salad that started off my meal was so salty I went through about three glasses of water to balance it out. And at the end of our meal, we sat with our plates in front of us for about a half an hour before anything was cleared. The only plus? There was a little bowl of minty chocolates at the hostess stand on our way out, so at least things ended on a high note.

Went to BT's on Christmas night for some Chinese food. I must say, I loved it! Drinks and food were really tasty. Portions are pretty big as well. Our service was good as well. The only drawback is that it's in the north end and the parking is scarce if you aren't a resident. I'll definitely be back though!

Consistently fantastic Chicken & Broccoli. Their Lo Mein dishes are great, and their liquor selection is surprising - in a good way! When ordering take out they say '10-15 minutes' but it never takes more than 5. Fairly priced for the portions you get. Can't say enough great things about this place! Great chinese food in a city - and in the North End? Win win!

    (5)
  • Bianca T.

Super delicious Chicken and broccoli !!! Maybe the best I have ever had .... The stir fried curry rice was gross (sorry but need to work on that dish) It's a block from my apartment so I can see myself going often ;)

So disappointing!!!!! I have been a loyal customer for 10 years! I order 3-4 times per week! I think the place is sold to a new owner. I have never had this experience there, let alone anywhere!!!! The sashimi was given to me were literally as thin as a slice of cheese (I posted a pick!) . Tuna sashimi was thinner and smaller then my index finger! I am 5'2 and 105 lb! So you can imagine how small my fingers are !!!! Well, the sashimi was smaller! (also posted a pic). When I called to complain, they were omletely useless!!! "oh, I don't know what to do, but I can't do anything!!!". Hello?!!! Let the manager or the owner handle it!!!! Pretty sure the place will go out of business in a few month, unless they come to their sences!!!

This is a hidden gem of Pan-Asain cuisine in the Italian food district. I always get the General Tse Chicken and it is awesome. By the way I love spicy food, so if you don't, don't order General Tse Chicken. Sushi here is pretty good, not the best I've had. The food is always ready quick and everyone is very friendly.

I've tried the sushi and I've tried the Chinese food. The sushi is average. A little on the pricy side, especially considering that there's nothing too outstanding about it. The Chinese food, on the other hand, is pretty rockin'. This Americanized Chinese food so don't go in thinking it's hard core Chinese food. Still, I hate Americanized Chinese food since it's usually so greasy and oily. Even if I do get Americanized Chinese, it's always vegetarian since the meat is usually the worst cuts and full of grizzle. After peeking over and seeing other people's meals, I decided to go for a Chinese dish. I ended up ordering Sesame Chicken, and I have to say it's pretty tasty. Best Sesame Chicken I've had in awhile. The chicken was tasty and didn't taste like leftover parts. I left quite satisfied. While the prices may seem a little high for the Chinese, you should know it's served family style, so portions are massive. If you go with someone else, it's best to just order one dish. If doing takeout, you can surely have it for three meals. The one thing I didn't like is that it felt like the staff, especially the male staff were very in your face. I feel like there should be space consideration and there isn't. It also feels like the staff is always looking for you to get more, so you'd think with them so on top of you that you'd get your water glass refilled often. Not the case. So three stars because the service is iffy. Three and a half stars for the sushi and four and a half stars for the American Chinese food.

Honestly, I didn't like the dish I ordered here. It's my fault, because although they offer both Chinese and Japanese food, I took a chance and ordered a Chinese dish. I just have to face the fact that I don't like Chinese food. However! I did have an overall good experience here, and am looking forward to returning (and trying the sushi or other Japanese dish). Everyone in the restaurant was so efficient and so friendly that I can't help but want to come back and provide more business for them. My partner, who does like Chinese food, was very happy with his dinner, and was also happy that he gets to help himself to my leftovers. Take note: the portions are generous so arrive hungry and don't overdo it on appetizers.

  • Aboud Y.

So Billy Tse is overpriced...no doubt. But it also offers some of the best Americanized Chinese food in the city. Their sushi is pretty good too. Throw in good service and delivery when you need it, and you have a winner. What can I say...I'm a fan.

A little pricy, but this chinese food is legit. Unlike Chinatown, it's very clean and professional and everything there tastes very fresh. I'm a big fan of the Thai Sweet and Sour Duck.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place last night, as a sort of reprieve from all the Italian food in the North End. The setting is nice, it is busy enough that you don't feel awkward, but not so busy that you have to feel like you are sitting on top of the people next to you. The server was very attentive, and always kept our glasses full. We ordered two sushi rolls to start (boston and spicy tuna), and both were good. We also tried the hot and sour soup, and the Rocket Soup. Both were good, although I would have liked for them to be a little bit spicier. For entrees we got the Kung Pao Shrimp and the Thai Noodles with shrimp. The entrees here are definitely made for sharing. I saw some people complain about the prices, but I thought they were very reasonable for the amount that you get- the dishes are served on a giant plate with a big spoon so you can dish out however much you want. You will definitely have leftovers! Both dishes were very tasty- I would like to go back and try more next time I'm craving something other than pasta and pizza in the north end.

If you live in the North End area, you will quickly find that there is a serious shortage of sushi/asian places. While this place is not the best sushi in town, it is a good staple for the North End and can be trusted for consistency. I think they do chinese better but it's always nice to get a little mix of both. A few sushi rolls and a chinese dish.

  • Sam B.

Not the best Chinese food I've had but not the worst. Wouldn't ever go here if there were other decent Chinese food restaurants in the neighborhood.

I was staying at a local hotel in town and the front desk person suggested takeout/delivery from here since I was staying in after a late arrival. They told me 45 minutes and they were exact. I ordered the egg roll, chicken won ton soup and the Chinese noodles shanghai style. I didn't know 2 egg rolls came with the order and I'm glad it did because it was $5.50. The egg rolls were tasty but very greasy. I mean very very greasy. The soup was tasty and the noodles were very good. Plenty of shrimp and pork in the noodles dish. The portions were a good size and I love to eat. It came to 25.50 for everything which included a bottle of water. I would go back.

Been here many times over the years. Never better than mediocre. This last time the worst. My chicken dish consisted of more chicken skin/fat than actual meat. Way over-priced, even for the location. The new bar-stools have no back. Becoming quickly the worst restaurant in the North End. We need someone to open a really good Chinese restaurant in the North End!

  • K E.

I have to admit, I wasn't the biggest fan when I first came here. But slowly over time it has become one of my favorite neighborhood places. Who would think there would be decent sushi in the North End home of Italians? But food isn't the only thing that makes this place great. The bar in the back of the restaurant is actually one of the best in the North End. A couple of well-placed TVs, good service and windows that open way up in the spring/summer make this a really great hang out. Favorite food: Twin Spicy Maki. They are also really prompt in delivery, so it's a great alternative to the hot pasta and pizza that surrounds this area.

My grandparents live in the North End, and though I visit them frequently due to their proximity to hearty Italian food, every now and then I get tired of pasta and pizza and long for some Billy Tse's. Get the crab rangoon here or live to regret it. It is stuffed with cream cheese, but still maintains that perfect dough to filling ratio that most chinese places lack. The entrees here are delicious as well; my sister and I have gone through a bunch of the chicken dishes (orange chicken being our favorite) to continual success. The duck here is crispy and juicy; the lobster with that brown sauce (lobster sauce?) is amazing. Service is pretty good here too. If you are looking for a nice getaway from standard Italian food, come to Billy Tse's...just remember to stop at the bank before you go here, it's freakin' expensive.

Though the likelihood of my continued patronage is dwindling with the advent of sushi at Mercato del Mare, Billy Tse's has served me well for my emergency sushi needs over the last year and a half. You: Sushi in the North End? Me: It's on the water! You: From a Chinese restaurant? Me: It's really more of a 'Merican restaurant -- nothing is authentic! You: So... Me: IT WAS AN EMERGENCY For sure not the best sushi but, in this world of pasta and pizza, decent sushi is better than no sushi at all. I usually opt for delivery but, even when I've dined in, there's not much to be said about the restaurant itself; and I've never seen it crowded -- or even close.

Stumbled upon this place last night. Had some yummy steamed peking ravioli (their fancy name for pork dumplings) and the crazy maki roll was spot on.

This is our second choice for getting Asian takeout (first choice is Pho Basil. Pros: veggies are always high quality and fresh (Shiitake mushroom and snow peas stirfry is especially good). Cons: not authentic (but still ends up tasting pretty good)

  • Lisa R.

I'm so very surprised by all the good reviews for this place. It's making me think we've ordered the wrong items. We had their lunch specials the other day and it was quite mediocre at best. The Lo Mein noodles totally sucked and lacked any flavor nor veggies. The stir-fried sides were tasty, but nothing extraordinary. However, the service was super speedy and friendly. The view and location is great, but it's going to take a lot more than prime location to please me. p.s. I suppose it's just me, but the combo of sushi and chinese food doesn't really work for me. It's like Vietnamese food and Italian coming together. =/

I'm not sure where the trend of having both Chinese and Japanese food in the same restaurant is coming from. They are two different countries with two different cultures! It's especially weird that Billy Tse also serves Korean food. Even while typing this, my face scrunched up, making an expression that clearly says, "huh?" Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of mixing up crab rangoon and raw tuna as much as the next person. It's just confusing to live in the North End and have one spot to fill all of my Asian-food needs. The noodle dishes are amazing. They are also great as leftovers. Some Chinese food doesn't last, or gets oily in the fridge, but these noodles are great cold drunk OR sober. That's saying a lot. One compliant that I do have is that they recently raised the prices. My roommate, brother, and I placed an order for sushi, and not a huge amount because we were sober, and the total was $75! Um, what? I have a menu right here that says it should be way less! In sum, because I live right by there, I will continue to order it. Once in a while, I may crave it. But I wouldn't recommend taking a trip to the North End for it. We have better places around that specialize in one ethnic food.

  • Heather G.

I have just one question: Billy, why are you so darned expensive? You serve the same quality maki rolls as everyone else, but are notoriously $2+ more expensive per roll nearly across the board! Knowing the quality of food received at Billy Tse's (I used to live around the corner and learned this the hard way), I can no longer bring myself to pay for this when I could walk to Chintown and get everything much cheaper, or even pay for delivery and still come out at least broken-even, if not in the black, on the decision. The food is fine - there is nothing wrong with it. But I do not eat here anymore due to the breakdown of my own internal price/value analysis. I work hard for my money...if I want a mediocre maki roll, I will go to one of the many places that will sell me a spicy tuna for $4.50!

OK, so maybe we could've ordered just one lunch special and an order of rangoon and been satisfied but NOoOOooooOo..... Lizzard and I came here today right after our cruise around the 18th floor aka "The Starship Enterprise" , because we apparently had some sort of unconscious yearning for a MSG coma. It's in close proximity to work, but isn't too close and gives us an excuse to actually get some exercise on that 6 block walk...to only be completely devalued by various deep fried items covered in goo. Sweet, sweet goo. We went a little over the top with our order, me with my sesame chicken/lo mein lunch special and lizzy with her lunch special from the japaense menu. We also ordered some shu mai and crab rangoons to boot. Total came to about $30, and we had this GIANT bag of food to lug back to our office. We sprawled out our bounty among two tables in our employee lounge and discovered we had been given about 8 different containers of sauces. I JUST LOVE SAUCES! I'm a big fan of anything that comes with an array of things to dip. Food is pretty typical for chinese takeout, but typical is all I need sometimes and this was very good for typical, if that makes any sense. I'd like to come back for sushi at some point, until then....

Billy Tse's food is decent. It's not authentic chinese food, but it's better than average for American chinese food. We ordered the fried calamari and spare ribs to start...and wow. Their portions were huge! By the the time the four of us got our entrees we were half full. :P The waiter brought us out the malaysian eggplant, pad thai, double thai delight and the sesame chicken. The yummiest of the them all was the sesame chicken. Mmmm..it was fried but not greasy, sweet and tangy. Next time I go, I'm definitely gonna get me some of that chicken. While living in the north end, this is the best chinese places I've found close by.

Amazing and fresh sushi! Rocky maki is one of the best things in the world I have tasted! I have turned many people on to this roll. My bf drinks the man's Mai Thais here which are deliciously dangerous. Get the Thai basil chicken - another dish that I have never known anyone to not like. Bomb coconut shrimp! You'll see billy running around in a jacked up outfit..always makes the night entertaining. Also, saki bombs! Got to love a good saki bomb! Truly a hidden gem in the north end! Hands down best Chinese/Japanese in Boston - yes the best!

  • Calla T.

Everything is delicious. Both the Chinese and Japanese food is great. Make sure to order the crab rangoons and sesame chicken. The sushi is always fresh. Personal favorites include spicy baked scallop maki and alligator maki. The service is always attentive and they really make you feel at home. The owner, Billy, always makes the effort to go around to all the tables to ask how the food is. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.

    (5)
  • Colleen B.

Nothing beats sushi AND crab rangoon! When you find a place that has both it's like the Chinese/Japanses god of all things crunchy, salty, and creamy are smiling down on you. Top it off with some sweet plum wine and I could live there. The sushi was top notch and the Chinese food was well-prepared and everything arrived really fast. The atmosphere with the white table cloths and cozy interior made for a pleasant, non-tacky dining experience. Yes it is odd that there's a Japanese/Chinese/Korean food place in the North End, but just go with it. You'll be happy you did!

    (3)
  • Alvin P.

Its the only chinese / japanese restaurant in the north end. I've been there only for sushi/japanese food. The fish was somewhat fresh, but I do think its a little over priced (North End Inflation). If you're going to get Chinese food here, dont bother. If you want chinese food in the north end go to china house. If not, then make the short trip to chinatown.

Good food. Sushi a little dry but pretty good prices for how much food they give. They don't skimp on anything

Chinese food in the North End? Yep, Great! Take a break for Italian and have some great Chinese food. Love the place!

  • Phillip W.

I only order delivery from here. Pretty expensive given it's chinese food. But it's not really. Ingredients are all very fresh. Well made and highly consistent (have never had a bad dish). Too much peanut oil, but otherwise seasoned very well. This and figs are the only places I order from

    (4)
  • Jessica C.

I've been to this place about five times, and gotten delivery once. They're amazing. The sushi is fresh and delicious and they're super helpful if you're having trouble deciding. It's always easy to get a table, and they take good care of you.

I lived in the North End for a few years and visited this place probably as many times. There's absolutely nothing special about it, I don't remember what I got the two times I went and only remember the third time because it was such a negative experience. Don't get me wrong the food is "okay"- it's just I wouldn't go unless I was starving, drunk and passing by on a random night (there are just tooooo many options to choose from in the N End). So this brings me to the service. A bit long, I'm okay with that, but don't bring out an entree that is supposed to be served hot and comes out lukewarm, that's just pure laziness. And literally, every 45 seconds toward the end of our meal, (it was 10:15pm)- they closed at 11pm, a waiter came by and asked if we were finished. I even gave'm a hint ("Thanks man, I'll let you know...") and yet it still persisted. If you have a craving, feelin' lazy and live in the N end, check it out, otherwise stick to Chinatown as this place is pretty forgetable.

Ate at this restaurant for lunch in early 2009. OMG, beyond terrible. First of all, the mixed drink I ordered tasted like a mouthful of chemicals. Waaaay too much mix. I sent it back and asked for red wine. But the waiter wouldn't give me red wine! He brought me chilled white wine and mumbled something unintelligible. He was a stalker - kept coming to the table to interrupt the conversation with incomprehensible garble. Very frustrating. The food was horrible. The salad was tiny and anything but fresh. The shumai was rubbery. The lunch was edible, but just barely. Oh, and the place was way to dark and completely empty, except for our table. Creepy.

I had an odd experience at Billy Tse's that I haven't had anywhere else. My girlfriend and I ate there and had a decent meal. The food was alright and the portions larger than expected. We both enjoyed ourselves and the environment. However, there were very few customers in the restaurant. You may ask why this matters or why this is a complaint. You'll see. Upon arriving home with our leftovers, I put them in the fridge for the next day. That next evening I went to heat up my dish. It looked strange and I asked my girlfriend if this was hers. She said no. So I heated it up in the microwave and pulled it out. It looked like pure gelatin with chunks of tofu in it. Disgusting. I ordered a beef and rice noodle dish, not tofu. I promptly called Billy Tse's to notify them that they had given me someone else's. How could they mix that up? It wasn't like the restaurant was packed. The women I spoke to had a hard time understanding me and that my Beef Chow Foon that I wanted to reheat and eat, was in reality a Tofu Soup. She was reluctant to help me out, but I was able to negotiate that they deliver me a new lunch sized portion of Beef Chow Foon for free. The customer service, although it took some nudging, did come through in the end. But getting someone else's food is gross, especially when it is tofu in gelatinous soup. I will eat there again, but I will either make an effort to finish my food there, or just have it delivered. Hopefully that will eliminate any doggy bag issues in the future.

Billy Tse's was the first sushi place i tried in Boston. It's not bad. The sushi is decent, however, we've had a few times when the fish was not very fresh. The other non Sushi Japanese dishes are pretty good. I like the ambiance and it's location in the North End is pretty convenient for us. With all that said, we haven't been back to Billy Tse's since we discovered some of the other sushi places in town. There are much better options for a similar price.

  • Alicia G.

What's with all the recent bashing of Billy Tse's? They deserve a thumbs up (or two): 1. For dealing with my fiance and I when we are drunk (which seems to be what happens when we go there or before we get there--so please have a mai tai, it will knock your socks off). 2. For making delicious thai noodles, gyu tataki, spicy tuna rolls and crab rangoons (I am a VERY picky crab rangoon fanatic) 3. For serving up chinese/japanese food in the North End! I shun all those recent naysayers. They must be sushi snobs or something. There is so much other delicious food there if you are like that and have to have fresh from the damn pacific fish. Trust me, It is definitely worth your while. Besides, you might see my man and I there, sitting in the corner, sipping mai tais, ordering too much food. If so, join us, we always have extra.

This place has the best sushi in the Northend, which unfortunately doesn't say much since it's in an Italian neighborhood and basically one of the only good options for Asian food! The sushi is slightly better than Shaw's supermarket and kind of expensive considering it isn't that great. On average the prices are a little high; $5 for edemame, $7.50 for a spicy tuna roll, etc. I have gotten take out before and have had an order messed up, but 90% of the time they get it right. We went in the other night for dinner and the table service was very good. The other food (spicy shrimp, fried rice, etc) is pretty good. Definitely a decent option if you're looking for Asian food in the Northend or Faneul Hall area, but otherwise, check out Chinatown.

  • Lisa M.

One star is much too kind. This was the worst dining experience of my life. It started with drinks after we were sat down. Mai tai, a Chinese restaurant staple, was loaded with chemicals, no juice. When my friend returned the drink and asked for a red wine instead, the waiter returns with white and says that he can't open a bottle of red because it's cold (WTF? Cold red?). Appetizers, gets worse. Vietnamese Veg Fresh rolls -- supposed to be cold-- arrived HOT and stuffed with only rice noodles and with sorry old tiny shards of mint. No vegetables (WTF again). A face cloth would have been more edible. Second app -- calamari -- served undercooked. Entrees: Veggie tempura box was double-fried releasing unpleasant bursts of old frying oil with each bite. The most refreshing item in the bento box was a sorry plop of canned pineapples. The second, expensive salad entree was simply a large bowl of iceberg lettuce with asian dressing.

Billy Tse's is our go to place when we order Chinese take out. Yes it is a little overpriced, but we are never disappointed with our food and we never feel gross after eating. The sesame chicken is my favorite dish, and definitely worth trying! For the first time last week, we finally went in to sit down and eat. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean. We decided to try their sushi and we were pleasantly surprised, it was really good. Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura, and a few scorpion bowls made for a nice Friday night out!

I love Billy Tse. I had people over the other night for a friend's birthday and she really wanted Chinese. Plus, we were getting take-out and Chinese is a good way to serve a lot of people. But, I live in the N. End and they were all laughing and saying "I can't believe we came all the way to the North End for Chinese!" Once they started eating they changed their minds quickly. Everyone raved about the food. Billy Tse is really good Chinese. Their sushi is also good. The price is right too. It was only $90 for 9 people to eat and there was a lot leftover. The food is fresh, not too greasy and the service is fast. We were going to get delivery but it would have been an hour wait. Pick up was only 15 minutes but it was only a 5 minute walk so we picked it up ourselves. Dining in is good too. It's clena and birght and in a great location. It's great to have option ins the N. edn besdies Italian, if you live there. I love Italian but sometimes you want variety.

What a rip off! Don't waist your time or hard earned money. Do not go here. The food is way over priced. Complained about our food and the manager didn't do anything. Just said, "oh is this your first time here?" yes! and it will be our last. I repeat DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

I get take out from here all the time, and I don't even really like it (it's just close to my work)! The chicken and beef tastes like it came from a frozen dinner. Plus, most of the food is pretty bland. I mean, I would get it if you're craving Chinese food, but I wouldn't go out of your way to come here.

Amazing lunch special. $10 something gets you miso soup, a choice of 1 of 3 rolls, salad with that tasty dressing, 2 pieces of sashimi and pineapple. What a good deal. I had the Boston roll (salmon avo & cucumber). Definitely coming back.

Billy Tse's is a great spot for both Sushi and Chinese. There are better sushi places in Boston, but if you are local to the North End and Waterfront, this is a great spot for take out. I like the spicy salmon with avocado hand rolls - they are really good. I also really like the chicken pad thai.

We went here about 1pm in the afternoon and the place was dead. They were doing some maintenance work near the entry and someones tools were strewn all over the place. We got the lunch menu and there was no egg rolls or hot and sour soup so I asked if they had any and they said yes, so they brought it out. The food was below average and very slow service. The cashew chicken and rice had way too much soy sauce. Prices were very high for what you get.

The best, freshest sushi in the city. Howard the owner is SO friendly. So genuine. Everyone here is so friendly and will help you with ordering if you have any questions. I prefer spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, phila roll, and ungnami roll. The Singapore Rocket soup is amazing!!!!! The bar area is great!!! Nice wine selection. Great place to watch the game

Sushi was fine, not stellar. We also had two appetizers: the scallion cake was nice and crisp, the Vietnamese springroll consisted only of noodles and Basil. When we questioned the waiter about the lack of vegetables in the roll he replied there was a strip of lettuce in the middle- we couldn't see it. The peanut sauce was not good. Can't recommend.

So, my standards for good food have gone down markedly since I've been on bedrest for 3 months. This definitely isn't the best Chinese food, it's definitely Americanized and if I wasn't holed up like an old person, I definitely would've walked the mile to Chinatown. But, they deliver and it's quick if you're in the North End. They got my order right, they left the meat out (I'm a vegetarian and I inevitably get a few pieces of pork in most Chinese meals), they didn't charge me an outrageous delivery charge and the food was piping hot when I got it. I probably wouldn't eat there, but if you are hungry and live in the North End, it's worth it if you aren't in the mood for Italian again.

I love it here! The fried calamari, vegetable tempura, shu mai, east maki roll, spicy tuna roll...all are so good! I am lucky I was let in on the secret of this jewel in the North End.

I'm a sucker for a California roll - I really am. I work literally across the street from this place and they have been my saving grace repeatedly - especially the lunch specials. The prices are decent for the food. The service is really quick - especially for take out. I highly recommend the California roll (surprise surprise) and the udon noodle lunch special...or the kung pao chicken special...or the edamame...mmmm....edamame. Damn, now I'm hungry

You know what? I really haven't had a lot of amazing Chinese food here in Boston which is very disappointing. I've had a lot of amazing ASIAN food, but the Chinese food had always left something to be desired. However, thanks to Billy Tse's (which is right near where I work) my belly is consistently full of yummy, fresh, hot, delicious Chinese food. However, they also offer up basic-but-fresh sushi, thai food and other treats. My favorite foods are most definitely the Billy Tse's chicken, Sesame Chicken and the Thai Noodle--though this is a great, cheap after work spot for anyone in the North End on the Waterfront. Great to hang out in the bar, order some PuPu platters and hang out for a few hours chatting up your coworkers. Excellent. I also recommend that if you're in the North End and tired of pasta to come here during lunch. Their 7$ lunch specials will fill your tummy. I love the portions--Entrees come with a side of LoMein or Fried Rice. Also, they're fast, friendly, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable--and there is plenty of seating. Great for groups and a company lunch! :D Hot Tip: Billy Tse's Chicken is not in the "lunch" menu but if you call and ask for it--ask for the lunch anyway and they'll hook you up!

Last night my wife and I were driving home from NH. We jumped off the Charlestown exit and picked up a to go order from Billy Tse. The food was excellent. Honey ribs, asparagus, chicken, and black bean sauce, Peking ravioli, and spring rolls. Just fabulous. Mike M

Amisdst a sea of Italian restaurantts, you will find the only good Chinese restaurant... (There's another one on the corner of Prince and Hanover, but it's takeout and frankly, gross) They have big portions, and all-around awesome food. I've never seen it get particularly crowded, and the tables by the front windows are nice to chill at in the summer. The staff can be a bit quiet and mysterious, but they get the job done!

    (4)
  • TJ M.

In a sea of Itallian resturants Billy Tse's is my only haven for good Japanese/Chinese food in the North End. There is only one other place on Hanover and I'm pretty sure they put two tablespoons of cancer in every dish they serve. Billy's on the other hand offers a solid sushi bar, great General Gao's chicken and an excellent szechuan beef. Two thumbs up.. you can't go wrong.

first things first, this is NOT real authentic chinese food - no fish maw soup, preserved egg or garlic pea pods here. that aside, its some seriously good stuff! no matter what you order, I can gaurantee you will not leave this place disappointed. I have had takeout from here and also have dined in the restaurant. Im almost tempted to give it 5 stars for being the only asian place in the north end, and doing it so well! there are a couple of things that really make it stand out: 1. chinese AND japanese menus! I LOVE a place where I can order general tso's, crab rangoons AND sushi! its a gluttonous indulgence but hey, this is america! and the sushi here is actually very very good. 2. the fried dishes - I have gotten various crispy fried chicken dishes and they are all remarkably light. there is no heavy overwhelming batter or grease. whatever they use to fry their meats is crispy and light as a feather. its almost like tempura, but tastier. I am super picky about meat as well, and I have never had anything that compares in texture and taste to the chicken here - lean, light & crispy! adding to the overall dining experience of Billy Tse's is the clientele - I came for dinner one new years eve. you just cant put a price tag on the entertainment value of heavily accented liquored-up italians loudly discussing... well, just about everything. Very friendly atmosphere and the service was adequate, considering how busy it was. I'm not often in the neighborhood, but I would definitely make the trip to come eat here again.

  • Beth H.

I went here on Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was ok nothing fancy, basically thin white tablecloths and ceramic plates. I ordered General tse's chicken (yeah I'm boring) It tasted good and was kind of over priced considering I get the same thing for under 10 dollars at take out. My boyfriend got the squid dish. He seemed to enjoy it, I personally am freaked out by tentacles. Everything was pretty much average typical Chinese food restaurant. Except our waiter he was very nice and got us a valentine ice cream cake on the house. I would go here for casual dining but for me it wasn't romantic enough for valentines day.

While I am open to try almost any food at any restaurant, I also try to keep a healthy dose of skepticism. And to me, Billy Tse's really got some skepticism before I tried it. A Chinese/Japanese/Pan-Asian place, in the North End? I thought, "oh great, here I go wasting another $40." But I must say, the quality of the food really impressed me. I was with a group, and so we sampled a lot of food, and all of it was cooked (or not-cooked, as the case may be) to perfection. We started out with fried tofu that was absolutely amazing. While the outside retained a solid consistency, the inside melted in your mouth, and was full of flavor. And on top of the dish was a colorful assortment of ginger that complemented the dish perfectly. Following this, we had coconut shrimp. The shrimp came in a delicious sweet glaze sauce, and was dusted with finely shaved coconut. This dish was like a plate of candy, in a good way. Each bite of shrimp exploded with flavor. For my main course, I sampled several types of nigiri-style sushi and a scallop hand roll. The quality of the fish was as good as I have had in Boston (similar in quality to Fugakyu), especially the toro (fatty tuna). My co-diners ordered an assortment of entrees, ranging from grilled eel to fried rice, from shrimp tempura to stir-fried vegetables and tofu. All were delicious. The only complaint I heard was that the portions on the eel dish were a little skimpy, especially given the price. For that dish, you are probably better off going to Chinatown. On the whole, Billy Tse's is a great alternative to pasta in the North End. I don't have a car but it was still worth the trip.

The best Chinese food outside of Chinatown. I love sitting at the bar. They have a great luncheon special. The sushi is always fresh. The mai tai's are always strong. It doesn't get much better.

Definitely a great much-needed break from all the Italian food in the north end. We went there on a Wednesday night, and weren't overly impressed. The service was great and they were very quick to bring out our food - a big plus. We got several different kinds of sushi, all which were good, but definitely not over the top. The sushi selection was ok .. not many specialty rolls to choose from at all.. but the basics were there- a little dry, but good. If you live in the neighborhood it's worth checking out..

Great place to catch up with friends for lunch or dinner - good atmostphere. The other night, my sons and I ordered take out - very traditional. The chicken wonton soup was FANTASTIC; as were the dumplings (peking ravioli) and the scallion pancakes. We loved it. However, pork fried rice was lacking in flavor unfortunately. I will go back; and would recommend it. I've had their sushi too; and its hit or miss. Sometimes the best I've had; and once or twice; I've called to tell them I didn't like it (to which they said I'm sorry and did nothing).

I never thought the North End could be known for Chinese food - but this place is great. Absolutely delicious. Always fresh. My boyfriend and I love this place - the people who work here are very nice and welcome. They make a mean mia-tai too. Worth the trip - great location, plenty of seating.

I ate here for lunch a few days ago. The food was passable Chinese, nothing to write home about honestly. I ordered Kung Pao chicken, which was nicely spicy and the vegetables were good, but the chicken was kind of fatty. I snagged a piece of my co worker's California roll and again I thought it was just OK. It tasted a bit like supermarket sushi, actually. Also, since this is one of those places that you can't see inside before you walk in, I thought it was going to be fancy inside, but it's actually a bit dumpy, like they haven't redecorated in a while. Overall, it was good but not great.

  • Brian G.

It's okay. You have to know what to order. Your standard Chinese appetizers are good. Decent sushi. I was a little rough on them in my previous Yelp. It's much better than the Chinese take out on Hanover Street.

  • Christopher T.

This is where I usually get sushi when I'm craving it. Ok, I admit, I sometimes go for super market sushi too. Anyway, Billy T's has great sushi despite what others may say. The salmon is melt in your mouth, buttery goodness and the spicy tuna rolls are still the best I've found in this city. The rest of the menu is good too but I rarely get anything other than sushi here.

Great chinese food, phenominal sushi, and the best drinks in town... if you're looking to have a night just order a mans mai tai!

  • Sean M.

If i lived in the North End I would probably be a regular. If this place were in my town it would be the best Sushi restaurant in town. Neither of those statements make this a great place. I've been twice, now I've had Sushi and Chinese. Both were just adequate The drinks are strong and the rooms are comfortable. Interesting mix of characters here that's for sure. Brahman, "Townie" North Ender's, Touristas and Hipsters it makes for good people watching. I could not hold this place up as representative "quality" Asian food in Boston though.

Billy Tse is one of my standby dinner spots for Friday nights when I don't feel like cooking. Living in the neighborhood, I was excited to find a sushi place, but Billy's is so much more than sushi! Some of our favorite stuff on the menu are the crab rangood(perhaps the best rangoons I've ever had!), Scallion Pancakes, Thai noodles, and General Tso chicken. It 's great that you can get Thai, Chinese and Japanese all together. The bar is fun to sit in, although it can get rowdy with old drunk guys out for an after work drink. Overall, great place!

  • Michael G.

If you're looking for tasty Chinese food, head to Chinatown instead. It's not that far. On the other hand, if you prefer ambiance and cleanliness, then go here. The food's certainly not bad, but it's certainly not great. I'd say it's so-so. Also, don't be surprised if your "spicy" dish is really quite bland.

I love everything about Billy Tse. Its a great lunch place. I went there with five other people from work. We ordered a little too much food though. The Pu Pu Platter was awesome, so was he sesame chicken and thai lemon basil chicken. I felt comatose for the rest of the afternoon though. The place doesnt disspoint you if you are looking for greasy chinese food. The decor is real funny, southwestern plates, a rooster on display with fishes on the wall and music from dirty dancing...this place is in serious search of an identity. I recommend it. Its fun, low budget...greasy chinese

Been here dozens of times eat-in/delivery/take-out & all are good. The food is excellent & very reasonably priced. It's a little out of the way for us, but whenever we're over by the n.e. & don't want eyetalian, we'll go to BTs... man those scallion pancakes are amazing...

In a word...OK. It's nothing to write home about, but if you're looking for a quick fix, without breaking the bank, this will do the trick. I've only tried the Japanese and apparently that's exactly what you don't want to order here (I hear their Chinese is better than their Japanese offerings) But for some reason I only come to this place when I'm in the middle of having a sushi fit and I run to the nearest place, which for me happens to be Billy Tse's. The sushi has always been decent, but basic, and I find it to be a limited selection. One *little* gripe....what is up with their massive chopsticks?! They're HUGE and super slippery. I have enough issues with chopsticks as it is...

i like the idea of having a sushi spot within walking distance to where i live. but i was def a little weary that they serve both chinese and japanese food. i went anyway, and it was good. the service was good and the food came out fast. i wish they had a sunomono type dish. the fish was fresh and the handrolls were delicious. i just wish it wasn't so expensive. wont be my 'usual', but i'll come back if i need to.

Thank goodness the North End has Billy Tse's to offer some variety against all the Italian restaurants! The bar at Billy's is always a diverse, friendly group and the bartenders are attentive. In the dining room, service is generally courteous and quick. I prefer Billy's for takeout but mainly because I live nearby. Their sushi is consistently good (I order from here weekly), and, though I'm not a big Chinese food eater, I have to admit that I enjoy their beef teriyaki. A good casual Asian restaurant near the waterfront!

  • Michael T.

As the only true Asian restaurant in a sea of Italian trattorias, this fine establishment serves as a metaphor for my life in the North End. Yes, I too am the only good looking Asian guy in the North End (Cambodian to be exact). It can be lonely and you sometimes stick out like a sore thumb, but really, when you're food is impeccable and you're service goes above and beyond, there really is no comparison...I think I'm still talking about the restaurant? Anyways, I've heard about Billy's for a while now, but never thought twice about going in because really, a sushi bar in the North End? Plus, I've been spoiled with Oishii take-out. But (oh it's a big BUT my dear, fellow Yelper), as I was doing my daily run after work (OK, I've done it about 5 times since I've lived there and I really only run about 5 blocks before my asthma kicks in and I end up walking around the outskirts of the neighborhood, trying to find my favorite George Michael song on my iPod, before I jog the remaining two blocks back to my apartment) when I came across Billy's; the sashima and hand rolls looked pretty good on this cute girl's plate, so I decided to come back after I showered, put on my favorite Tufts sweat-pants and splashed on some Stetson (I was pimping, and according to my boys in Three 6 Mafia, "It ain't easy being a pimp"). I pulled into a bar stool and went to town: soft-shell crab maki, unagi maki, salmon skin special maki (yes, I said salmon skin (think delicious fried chicken skin, but on fish) don't hate), Tako, Tabiko and some Torro (what I like to call the triple-T combo). If this was middle-school, I would have compared my dinner that night to my first "Seven-minutes in heaven" closet making-out session at Emily Jenning's birthday party (it was that special)...dude, screw Oishii; too many people know about it now, which fyi, still ticks me off. You can find the good looking Cambodian guy at Billy Tse's eating great sushi in the North End in his Tufts University sweatpants and old, smelly rugby shirt (that's why I wear so much Stetson). I was a hooker in college; scrum on me!

Good Asian food in the North End? Who would have thunk? The food is fresh and well prepared - and I really love their sushi. A good majority of the customers are North Enders who want something other than Italian food, but I think it is good enough to travel to.

I was introduced to this restaurant, which is actually located in the North End (go figure!), as a Sophmore in college and it ruined me for life! It ruined me in the sense that every other sushi restaurant I encounter now never compares to the perfection I experienced (and still continue to experience) at Billy Tse's. The warm smiles that greet you when you arrive to the extensive menu of Chinese and Japanese cuisine (above and beyond sushi), Billy Tse's is one of the most underated restaurants in Boston. I always order sashimi and their chefs create masterpieces that are second to none. If you like it hot, try their Rocket Soup. Their bartender has been there for years so if you get to know him, you will have a friend there for life. And if you get a chance, ask for Howard, he is the Maitre di who will remember your name, occupation and significant others occupation even if you don't see him for a year - he truly is amazing! Sushi in itself is expensive so make sure to come with some extra money, but you can a save a few bucks on parking when you get your ticket validated if you park across the street for dinner. I can never say enough great things about this place! I have introduced all of my friends and family to this place, and now they are hooked too. Definitly my favorite sushi restaurant in Boston... check it out

We went for drinks on a Friday around 5 PM. It seemed like a slow time for them. The waitstaff was all on their cellphones just sitting around. It took us a while for someone to come greet us and give us menus. Once a server was assigned to us, things were great. Our server was friendly. We each got a martini and it was well priced at $10.00 each. The ginger martini was great. The spider roll was also delicious. I'd go here again and try out the food next time.

We had a great time at Billy Tse. The food was good, and the drinks are dangerously tasty. They have the classic Chinese and Japanese foods, and Peking duck, which you need to order in advance at a lot of other places (PS you can get half of one!) Who knew Chinese food in the North End could be so good!

Won't return to Billy Tse's anytime soon after an incident a couple of months ago. I ordered pieces of the tuna and salmon sashimi at the restaurant. The meal felt pleasant and I thought the food was great.... until a few hours later. While walking on Newbury Street I felt a tightness in my stomach. Luckily I had a friend living in the area and used his bathroom for at least a couple of hours. Yikes! I did vomit and a doctor diagnosed me with the flu from the sushi. There's a week I won't get back.

Ordered some Chinese delivery for the office the day after Christmas. I was excited that they delivered to our office in the Financial District. We ordered a ton of food and it came on time. Took about 45 minutes from the time we called to delivery at our office. We ordered the standard sampling of Chinese food. We even ordered a delicious sushi roll which I was surprised they carried. All the food was fine, they provided all the plates and utensils we needed. All in all it hit the spot but was pretty generic, which I was isn't a bad thing when you are looking for a good plate of Chinese. On a side note I preferred the sesame chicken to the General Tse's.

Just great food. More diverse menu than Revere and the prep is a little different but just great Asian food. We arrived with a group of 10 on a Saturday night at 8 and they were really accommodating. Great service.

  • Andrew A.

Barely passable Chinese food, average/below-average for most items. Service was terrible, I was there with my 4yo and 1yo, and was made to wait more than 10 minutes after sitting down before anyone showed up to get our order, and another 10 minutes at the end after asking for the check. The after-work bar scene looked a little more busy, but we were sat in the back of the restaurant area, and it was a painful dining experience.

Looking for a pan-Asian adventure? Look no further. Billy Tse is hands down the best authentic Chinese / Japanese restaurant in all of Boston. The menu is endless, I don't think you could ever get bored with the food here. The specials are constantly changing. The scorpion bowls are good and heavy. The half sweet and sour duck is to die for. You will not be disappointed. Get the scallion pancakes and enjoy the beautiful north end waterfront (right across the street)

They used tortillas for Mu Shi wrappers. Even if you're going for the all encompassing Pan-Asian, that shouldn't include Mexican.

Our work group came here the week before christmas for a team lunch. The restaurant always looked deserted on the outside so I wasn't surprised it was completely empty when we came in. Plenty of waitstaff milled around though--the noisy chinese being yelled back and forth more than made sure we were aware. We were seated at a big table right in the center before a waitress came by and asked if we could finish by 1pm for another party that was coming in. We ended up getting switched over to a flimsy booth that kept buckling because there was no wall behind it. Food came out in random order. I got the salmon, a couple of coworkers got the chef's choice sushi, and others got noodles. My salmon came out overcooked and doused in a sauce that was way too sweet and sticky. there was approximately three string beans beneath the salmon, and it does not come with rice. Friends who got the soup said it was too salty. The sushi ended up being small lackluster cucumber rolls (surprise!). One redeeming quality came for friends who got the noodles. That came as a big portion...although the chicken that was a part of it was small. (I mistook them for pieces of garlic). My review certainly does not reflect the views of my friends. I will not be back here for the overpriced and less the good food.

Mediocre at best. There is way better food to be had in Boston. We came for lunch and the sushi we had was blah. I didn't even finish my roll, unusual for me as a huge sushi fan. The wait staff was attentive but not very friendly and didn't seem happy to be there.

This spot is great if you enjoy Chinese food. It won't knock your socks off but it's on the better end of Chinese. The general tse chicken I had was great. Full chunks of white meat chicken. Also tried the boneless ribs and they were extremely tasty. As usual(in chinese restaurants), service was just average.

So much for what I thought was our usually good meal for Chinese. Just had lunch... Sad! Ordered chicken and broccoli and it came to table in less than 1 minute! I felt the top and it was warm, but inside was cold, jelly-fiyed!!! It tasted like left over microwave food. The waiter disagreed and even was rude. So he brings a woman out which she explains everything is cooked fresh and if I want to go back in the kitchen to show me.....really? Nothing like 2 people disagreeing with you and on top of that( wait now......) they CHARGED me! Don't waste your time.

I never write yelp reviews, but I had such a bad experience, I feel that I need to share: Horrible service - stay away! I went here recently with a few friends. When we walked in, there was no one to greet us and we awkwardly stood at the entrance for a few minutes until we were seated. Then, it just got worse. The waiter filled my friend's beer to the top of her glass and the foam spilled all over the table. I kindly asked for a napkin so we could clean it up and he never brought one. They rushed us the entire meal even though there were PLENTY of tables empty - not a good sign for a Saturday night. The drink menu doesn't have prices so we asked for the price on a few drinks. Once we got the bill, we realized that the waiter had told us a price that was much lower! This was the worst experience that I've had at a Boston restaurant in years! The food was overpriced and the service was awful!!! Will never be back.

The price is a little stiff for what you get, but the food is decent and there is always plenty of outdoor seating. Service is solid as well.

While Douzo and Oishii get all the accolades for best sushi in Boston, Billy Tse's may take the cake in our household. The sushi always tastes very fresh and is incredibly well-made. They have a diverse array of special rolls, and the standard maki are all very, very good as well. We went from being skeptical of ordering sushi from this Italian neighborhood to literally ordering takeout from there at least 2x a month. Our favorite rolls are the red lion and twin spicy, but quite frankly, we've never been steered wrong here. Everything is good. Edamame, miso soup, you name it. I also usually order the Japanese Avocado Seafood Salad for the next day's lunch. It preserves well and the dressing is incredible. Only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because it is a tad pricey. It won't break the bank, and cheap sushi is always a roll of the dice, but I feel like some of the special rolls, while awesome, are a overpriced by a couple dollars.

Living in the North End, i was looking forward to having a non-italian option close by. I picked up takeout sushi for my roommate and I. We ordered a variety of rolls, and we both agreed that everything we got was great. Everything was fresh and even the presentation was awesome. I stopped in a few weeks later for takeout again, this time to try a Chinese entree (I ordered the sesame bean curd.) it was probably the worst Chinese takeout I've ever ordered. The dish was too sweet, greasy, and nearly $12 for a moderate portion, no rice included. It was so bad I threw half of it out. The staff was very polite and I want to support neighborhood businesses, but I will probably stick to sushi orders only in the future,

FRAUD ALERT! Dined at Billy Tse's in mid-November 2013 for a work luncheon. The food was subpar, most notably the lo mein noodles were dry and seemed like they had been put under a heat lamp for hours due their low moisture content/crunchiness. The tab came to over $100 for our large party. No big deal there. We all chipped in with a combination of 20's, 5's, and 1's to cover the bill and tip. Without divulging anyone's identity let's just say my colleagues pay great attention to detail in monetary matters. They counted the total pile of cash 3 times to ensure we had left the correct amount. Our server then picked up the bill/cash and walked about 20 feet to the cash register. Without opening the drawer, she fumbled around (with her back to us) for about 10-15 seconds (POCKETING two $20 bills) and replaced them with one $10 bill. Again, nobody in our party had a $10 bill to begin with. She then returned to our table and said that we were $30 short. The "mysterious $10 was added to our pile of cash with two $20 bills missing....basically the amount we had left for HER tip. With the "revised by Billy Tse" pile of cash she brought back, she claimed we "owed" $30...that we had already paid. As nobody wanted to make a fuss in front of co-workers, we paid the "Billy Tse Gouging Fee" of $30 and walked out. Disgusted. That will be the last time I ever pay them a cent. I advise that you learn from our mistake and move on to one of the (far better) eateries in the area that are forcing these fraudulent folks to stoop so low in their last ditch effort to generate revenue. Their food isn't bringing in cash, so stealing is apparently all they have left. If I had more time, I would contact the MA Attorney General, but I feel that Yelp will be just as effective. FRAUD ALERT!

Not such a Billy Tse fan... never really had a great experience here... either the service was bad or the food was cold...

Tried Billy Tse's for sushi tonight - one sushi boat and one spicy scallop roll to be exact. Maybe I'm not a good judge of lower end sushi or maybe Billy Tse's was having an off night. Either way, I'm putting this in the same category as Zen when it some to sushi - not coming back. Tried a second time. Still bad

I ordered a little maguro, salmon roe, sake, salmon skin roll and unagi hand roll. Good stuff but nothing outstanding. Funny, no clam or oyster here.

Chose BT's Asian and Sushi restaurant in the North End for lunch as alternative to the many fine Italian restaurants in the area when the better restaurants were not yet open. BT serves a tasty meal and overall good value from the luncheon menu available even on a Saturday afternoon. Sushi boat for 1 at $19 (pic uploaded) and vegetable tempura for $10 were very good. Tip: Ask to sit closer to the widow with wide-open street view (pick uploaded) if you prefer to avoid some of the viewless and dark seating areas. One Gripe: No beers on tap. So ordered instead a martini, which was well made at $9. We would return. If you think this review with photos is useful, funny or cool, I'd appreciate ur feedback by clicking below.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
