Let me start with: pretty good food. Ingredients are fresh tasting and the menu offerings are modern. The salads I found to be a little spendy for the quality but not lacking in flavor. The problem is the service. The server was dismissive and the person preparing my food say nothing while handing me a take out order. But hey, let's face it, they sell themselves as "healthy fast food" and the service seems to have taken nods to that model.

The burger is good, and made with good-quality meat but the salad is seriously overpriced. I mean, $11 (chicken added) for a half-empty bowl? I showed my coworker when I got back to the office (I work a couple of minutes away) and he couldn't believe it either.

I've been to this new location twice since it opened. I had never been to a bgood before so this was my first experience. I'm a huge sweet potato fry lover and i was so disappointed with their fries. They are either cut too thick, or they don't cook them long enough. I've gotten them twice and both times they've come out soggy and undercooked. I live around the corner, so I actually baked them in my own oven for an about 10 minutes once i got home and they still weren't much better. I've only tried the turkey burgers, which were mediocre at best, a little hard and not very juicy. I like that its a healthy alternative for fast food, but after two failed meals, not sure I'd go back.

bgood is pretty darn good. not the best burgers i've ever had, but it seems to be a matter of mission. the burgers are intended to be healthy, and end up less juicy and greasy than i'd prefer. its not too dry, though. the burgers are still delicious and the toppings really bring it home. i'm not a fan of their baked "fries". they end up not always being very crispy. i appreciate the healthy approach, but it does sometimes cause the food to lack the qualities i look for in burgers and fries. if i want a burger, though, i would certainly choose bgood over mcdonalds, bk, wendys, etc. without a doubt.

I highly respect the fact that they only use locally grown food. The burgers actually taste like beef... Maybe because they use farmers who feed their bovine with grass and not corn? Either way I like it and respect it. The fries are good. The milkshakes are fantastic. I'm a fan.

Really love the veggie burgers here. I liked the food so much, went again the next day to the Newbury Street location. I personally think this one is much better. Regardless, I like the clean taste of all their food.

I absolutely love their turkey burgers. It's awful, I'm hooked. Sorry, U-Burger, I changed my mind, though you're also pretty great as well. My favorite is the West Side: the avocado, the homemade salsa, the cilantro...OH EM GEE. I'd also had their seasonal special though it's since changed and I cannot remember what was on it, just that I also loved it. I've had their normal fries as well as the sweet potato and I gotta say, I was very disappointed with the sweet potato fries. I generally love them, but nearly every single fry was al dente on side and burnt on the other. Very strange and sad. I'm willing to give them another try just because I love the rest of the food so much.

The food was decent, but a bit pricey. My simple chicken sandwich and fries was over $11. I wish I had time to try their new kale & quinoa salads, but alas I did not. Overall, it was an okay experience, maybe I'd go back if I lived in the area.

I must've just had a particularly bad experience at the b.good location in downtown Boston, because I've been to this location near Newbury Street twice now, and it ain't half bad! They have delicious, creamy milkshakes, made from Toscanini's ice cream in Central Square. Their burgers are local and all-natural. Try the "Adopted Luke" - a burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions, gouda cheese, and BBQ sauce. That's like, a whole bunch of my favorite foods all in one. And if you're really hungry, get some of their hand-cut sweet potato fries. Yum. Still only three stars though, because the burgers aren't the best I've had. They're a bit under-seasoned. Service at this location isn't all that friendly, either. All in all, b.good is a middle-of-the-road option if you're looking for a quick burger or shake. Especially the shakes, which are definitely the star of the show here.

It's like a Five-Guys but not as good. Still makes a better burger than most other fast food places, but if your going to shell out a little of the extra cash that should be expected. I had the seasonal goomba burger (sauteed mushrooms and smoked Cheddar) and it was quite good. Not as juicy as I would like, but had some nice flavor. The mushrooms in particular were delicious. The fries however were very poor. Flaccid and flavorless. Ate about 5 of them then just tossed them in the trash. A decent place, but I'm not going to become a regular.

Delicious burgers and a delicious veggie burger. Hand cut fries. Creamy milk shakes. I was gonna knock off a star because the price ($10 for a combo meal - burger, fries, coke) but I don't see how they can offer it any cheaper. The food is good quality. The burgers are thick and delish and they have gluten-free buns.

I had the El Guapo chicken sandwich and it was great! It took some time to be prepared but that actually made me feel good since I knew this wasn't a pre-cooked pattice just being warmed up! I ordered the fries drink combo and the home-style fries were tasty too. But the best thing was the fresh lemonade I had there. Absolutely refreshing and I'm definitely gonna stop by again just for their lemonade sometime.

With a little extra salt, those sweet potato fries are addicting. Like Sweet Potato Lovers Anonymous addicting. Even without those deliciously starchy sides, b.good is a solid alternative to traditional fast food, as all of their menu options are lower-cal than most McDonald's signboard items, while still allowing you to satisfy your fast food fix. My favorites so far are the West-Side and the El Guapo (the chicken and burger varieties are both tasty), and the homemade raspberry lemonade is good as well. The eco-friendly vibe that b.good puts out is also pretty cool while you're dining in. Which you should definitely do, because b.good...is good.

I love bgood- the food is excellent. But specifically regarding this branch. The service is effing horrendous. Ive been in here when there are only two other customers, and my salad order still took 20 minutes (with 4 people working). Terrible.

  • Matt S.

The milkshakes are absolutely fantastic here. My girlfriend was upset with me and I got her a B Good chocolate milkshake and BOOM I was out of the dog house. However I hate the fries. I hate their ketchup. I don't like their burgers that much. Not the mention the explosive diarhea I get from eating here.

  • Angela Z.

Delicious! I would highly recommend B. Good if you're in the mood for burgers, they are very juicy. And the sweet potato fries are also really good to compliment them. I only wish the portions were larger for the price.

  • Alexandra M.

I'm vegetarian and their veggie burger is really good! You can actually see vegetables and beans in it, which is nice when compared to some other places. This time I got it made as a West Side which was kind of bland, and needed more avocado than just a smear on top like it was mustard (I thought I was going to get slices). I've gotten the Cousin Oliver before and LOVE it, especially the homemade pickles. Fries could be crispier for my tastes. This one is laid out really nice as you can see the whole kitchen and get a lot of light from the huge windows.

We've been a burger kick (can you tell?) Got the turkey burger here and it was good, but the sweet potato fries were terrible. This particular location was meh, seemed a little greasy . But I LOVE their model, source locally where possible -- LOVE IT. I will def try another location.

Great location, wonderful food, but only Gumby could comfortably navigate the ordering line / waiting area! b.good probably has the best sweet potato fries in the area. They're baked, not fried, and covered with just the right amount of flake salt for a perfect balance of sweet potato goodness and saltiness. Their regular fries are also very good, but after you've had the sweet potato fries, you'll probably not want to go back. Everyone makes a big deal of the burgers. However, I think the chicken sandwiches are equally good, if not better. The chicken is grilled, not fried, and the combination of the healthier bun, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes is wonderful. It's a great piece of lunch happiness. The problem that I have with this b.good location is that it's still a little disorganized up front in the area where you order and then wait for your food. It's the same problem that the old Boloco in this location had. The register is on the far side away from the front door, and it can be challenging to navigate by the people who are waiting for the food that they've already ordered. Be ready to strike up a conversation to determine who's doing what (waiting in line versus waiting for their food). I'm happy that b.good opened up another location. I think that some stanchions or other type of guiding mechanism might make the crowds flow better through this place, thereby creating a better experience for all.

Came here for a quick 9PM dinner to follow up a disappointing (and unfilling) meal. Ordered a turkey burger (West Side style). I give this place credit for working from a local ingredients standpoint, because I definitely could taste it. No complaints here. Just a few notes to consider: -It's still fast food. Even if local ingredients are used this is in no way "diet tier". -Burger was kinda small, to the point where I am unsure price point justifies the local ingredients factor. But whatever. I enjoyed my food.

Best burgers without paying big bucks!! I like that you can choose burgers with a combo. The fries weren't that great. Too soggy and limp. The lemonade was the bomb!!

  • Dana F.

I love the food at B good and this one is close to my office. I won't stop going but the service here is really unacceptable. By far the slowest in the city. I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to show up to the register to take my order. And without I doubt I know I'll be waiting at least 15-20 minutes to get my food. I arrived 20 minutes ago and they are still not done making my food. And it's not very busy! This is ridiculous

Good Veggie Burger. Excellent Strawberry Lemonade and all around good "fast" food! I got the veggie burger Cousin Oliver style. It's always a crapshoot ordering the veggie place, but with a place like this I was confident it wasn't going to be weird. It was actually really delicious. I loved that I could order veggies as a side and they were pretty much just like I would make at home. The strawberry lemonade was really great, too. It did take a while to get our food but I think this is because we were the only ones there and of course, they make it fresh. This place is a winner in my book!

Seems pretty nifty so far. Went here with my free birthday coupon! I received sweet potato fries, but I thought I was going to get a burger.. a LITTLE bit of a disappointment, but the fries were good (and cheap from what I remember). ^_^ This seems like a good stop for a quicker, cheaper and [KINDA] healthier option than your average fast food joiiiiint.

Great Gluten Free options! They have gluten free buns and gluten free fries. I'm very sensitive and have never had a problem there. The food is fresh and quite healthy. My husband is not gluten free but vegetarian and likes the veggie burgers. The shakes, made with premium ice cream, are the only not so healthy option on the menu. We go there at least once a week! Love it!

I've always liked B. Good. I started to love it when I got the keychain. The way they care about their customers and the passion they have for fresh and organic meals is quite exciting. I love their seasonal menu and every single smoothie is delicious and healthy. This is the perfect place to detox from fast junk food and taste life again. I recommend anything with avocado on it and the veggie burgers are a must! And please try the upstairs seating for a divvy feeling. My only complaint is that I'd love if their personnel was a bit friendlier. That's all folks!

Major downgrade for today's experience as well as another experience a few weeks ago. I'd also like to add that I emailed them to let them know they have problems prior to posting this and never heard back. Points you need to know: 1. The prices of the kale salads are not worth your money. If you add a protein you're looking at $14. For $8 you could go around the corner to Boloco and make a burrito bowl with essentially the same items; and it won't take obscene amounts of time to get it done, and you'll get WAY MORE FOOD. My tofu that I paid an additional 3 dollars for, was 2 thinly-sliced 2x3 inch pieces of tofu.... PITIFUL. 2. How on earth is this place so slow? Whenever I am here, I am one of 2 customers. Today there were three, yes three, people at the 1 cash register (no one behind me). 1 guy on the grill, 1 guy on the maketable. I repeated my modified order 3 times and got blank stares. The maketable made it wrong and I had to babysit the production of my food. 3. God, the employees at this location are really piss poor. They really couldn't care less. There were three people at the 1 register trying to take my order... and none of them were friendly or even halfway engaged in working there. One didn't have an employee shirt, so maybe she was a friend just having fun? There was some signage on the back of the register that said something to the effect of "Join our family, ask me how!" So, while my order is painstakingly being entered into the register, I ask all 3 of the people facilitating my order into the computer, "What is the family? How do I join?" One blankly stared at me and replied, "We just email you coupons.........." and then went back to trying to figure out how to enter an order. No offer to help me get those aforementioned coupons. These three employees must have missed Easy Direct Marketing Opportunities 101. 4. Value - there is none. It's "fast food" that's not fast, it's just slow. And it's not value-priced, so how is that fast-food? For $14 I could go to Cheesecake factory and get faster and friendlier service and a salad 4 times the size and better quality, and a nice waitress to bring it to my table for me. 5.. Cleanliness - The three times I have been here I have had to settle on either eating at a dirty table, or waiting at a dirty table for my food. 6. Accuracy - Every time I have come here, something has been made wrong. Today I had to babysit the production of my salad. I kept having to yell, "NO NO NO I SAID NO CHIPOTLE", or "NO NO NO I SAID NO GRAINS OR QUINOA". Jesus, I have anxiety from having to supervise the making of a stupid salad that I repeated 3 times to the 3 people taking my order. This place has very serious problems with management. Who is running this circus? I think whoever is in HQ needs to really read some of these reviews and wake up. I'm certainly writing this place off unless this store is operated under new management. It has nothing going for it, except decent-tasting food, but to me, it doesn't blow away all the other problems with this B.Good. I'll never come here again.

I always used to go here to grab a burger and fries. But I'm afraid this location has gone downhill. Went there at 11 AM with a friend and the burgers took about 15 minutes, despite the fact that there were only a few people there... although I guess they were making gluten-free buns from scratch, so I understand if that's the case. The burger tasted good as always, but the fries (both the "real" and the sweet potato ones) had almost no seasoning and tasted incredibly bland and mushy. I used to always wish I had more fries after finishing a whole bag, but I couldn't even finish this bag. Earlier this summer, I went to the new Newton Highlands location and didn't have this problem. Better luck next time?

I stopped by to redeem my free side of regular fries (for joining the eclub) and sweet potato fries (for liking on FB). Wasn't too busy around 3PM on a Sunday. The server who assisted me was helpful and I had no issue redeeming my freebies. The wait time was about 5-10 minutes, which seemed like a bit of a long time just for fries, but it might be because they're fresher or something...? The sweet potato fries seemed to lack some kind of seasoning and were rather bland. I wouldn't come back for them. The regular fries were even less appealing to me--while somewhat more seasoned, they tasted like a straight-up baked potato. Not necessarily bad, but not what I'm looking for in fries. Although I didn't love the food, the service was decent and the atmosphere is nice. I might come back to try one of the chicken sandwiches.

  • Gina M.

For fast food this is a great place. Took about 10 min for my food. Had the acai berry smoothie which was kinda bland, the spicy avocado lime salad which was great, and tried the corn on the cob which was spicy! Overall liked this place, I don't feel guilty at all eating here. Bonus- people watching at the Berklee Performance Center across the street.

    (4)
  • Joyce H.

Had a west-side chicken sandwich that was ok. The sandwich itself wasn't big, maybe just over the size of my fist, but the piece of chicken still only covered 3/4 the surface of the bun. Avocado was pretty much nonexistent, though there was plenty of salsa. The food here is a decent choice if you're craving a burger but don't want something riddled with grease, but let's face it, the grease makes it taste good. Average joint, but I don't expect to become a regular patron.

The food was good and very fresh! It's healthy and sourced local. Only downfall is that our order was all messed up. Kind of a bummer, but delicious nonetheless. I'd recommend giving it a try if you prefer unfried fast food.

Stumbled upon this quaint restaurant while walking from Berklee College in Boston. Great selection of all natural foods. I enjoyed my turkey burger & my daughter enjoyed her chicken sandwich. Both were served on multigrain buns... Simply a delicious lunch!

So happy to be able to eat here again! let me start off by saying that. I used to be a HUGE supporter and customer a few years back when their veggie burgers were vegan, but then they switched to non-vegan burgers, I had an argument with someone at their store by Downtown Crossing, and I hadn't gone back in two years. Recently, a family member told me they made lots of changes, their veggie burgers now read "vegan," so I decided to give them another chance: so happy that I did! B. Good has definitely changed for the better! Organic sodas, quinoa, salads, vegan burgers, and the customer service at this shop (where I have been three times now) are all wonderful! My wife and I even stopped by 15 minutes before they closed (after the Symphony) and they made us fresh veggie burgers and fries, they were so good, hit the spot, and instantly made us frequent customers again. I HIGHLY recommend this business for vegans and vegetarians looking for a great place to go and snack, munch, have a great American-style meal.

My experience here was tarnished by a group of inconsiderate customers, not the restaurant itself. I got the El Guapo burger with a side of french fries: The burger itself was very delicious - with soft wheat bread, nicely cooked patty, and a good amount of tomatoes, onions and lettuce. They could have felt a little more generous of the jalapeno-ranch sauce though. I think the ranch sauce in my patty was shifted to one side of the burger haha but don't hesitate to ask for more sauce! They will be happy to give you more. The fries were delicious - but only while they're warm. As soon as their a little cold, they turn soggy HOWEVER, if no one told you yet, leftover french fries make AMAZING omelettes so always take them home! haha Now. for the experience. B. Good is supposed to be a pretty fast food kind of place, not a sit down, and wait 30 minutes for my burger, right? Well. if you have a MASSIVE order.....like 15+ burgers or whatever you should CALL AHEAD and place your order order early and come pick up the order. A group ahead of me decided to order a huge order, and therefore it took 30+ minutes for our meals to come out, which was pretty annoying since we wanted a quick meal. Unfortunately we didn't know the size of their order until we saw the 3 giant stacks of boxes they took at the end. Sad. I hope to come here when I don't have to wait a ridiculous amount for a simple burger x[

I was so disappointed with the food here. The fries are limp and mushy, and almost tasteless. The burgers have no actual meat taste. I could taste the charcoal or whatever they use for grilling, but that was it. It was like tasting the burned parts around a burger with no actual burger in the middle. I had the buffalo burger, and it had this thin watery burning red sauce that was probably just Tabasco sauce and that's it. That's not buffalo sauce! Buffalo sauce dances between tang and burning and buttery tastes. Slapping on some Tabasco or Louisiana hot sauce and calling it buffalo sauce is just phoning it in. Also, they got our order wrong and gave us a chocolate shake instead of a vanilla one when the whole restaurant was empty, so I don't know how hard it is to get that kind of thing right. But also also, a burger/fries/drink meal for 2 people cost $27! Holy ******* ****! For that much money I better be eatin' a damn good burger, and here I had no such luck.

I've always liked their sweet potato fries, but man, that Grilled Avocado Kale & Quinoa bowl is insane amounts of awesome. I wish it was available in a smaller size, since it's huge & it doesn't last well for leftovers, but the flavor and quality are fantastic.

Really enjoyed stopping here for a quick lunch with my girlfriend while walking around the city. They have all natural, local food options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. There are a lot of great customization options too, so the possibilities are endless. Definitely recommend it for the discerning folks out there for something unique, delicious, and good for you.

This was great! All-natural, local foods (even the sodas), stuff was fresh, etc. Vegetarian, chicken, and beef options for the burgers. I have gone by B. Good multiple times but this was my first time eating there; I don't expect it to be my last. Check this place out if you haven't yet. Doooo iiiitttttt!

I wasn't expecting much out of this place, since I honestly thought it was a convenience store until I peeked inside one day and realized it was actually a restaurant -- then looked up the menu, and everything looked whatever. Honestly, it seemed like just another sandwich shop, something I'm not usually too crazy about. But I finally got to try this place on Friday, when I came with my friend for dinner and we both tried the burgers. I got the West Side (the cashier recommended it) and I forgot what my friend got, but she seemed to enjoy hers and I thought mine was pretty good too. It was just a standard, higher-end burger (patty was so thick!!) with fresh tasting ingredients. The fries were whatever -- although I think they were fresh potatoes, they were thickly cut in a way that they were all soggy. Prices were decent -- I paid around $11 for a burger and fries which seems normal for Boston. My only real gripe about the place is that the people who work here seem like they don't want to, but otherwise, the food is pretty good, place is clean, prices are manageable.

I had a bit of sticker-shock when my order for small fries and a small drink came to $6+. How much does an organic potato cost? And then they served several people before me even though those same people placed their order after me. Their fruit flavored lemonade was decent. The fries were all stuck together in a limp, sticky lump. I will not return.

Great fast food, but organic/healthy/lean choices in the form of their burgers, chicken sandwiches, veggie burger etc. I got the chicken sandwich (west side) which had chipotle tomatoes and avocado on whole wheat bread. The sandwich was great and the chicken was cooked with a crunchy/charred exterior and moist/soft interior. The hand cut fries are baked and not overly/at all salted. With a little ketchup, you won't miss the common taste of salted fries.

Wow has this placed stepped it up menu wise. These new kale salads and quinoa bowls are unbelievable. They are huge, packed with flavor, and so healthy. (Add grilled chicken!) it's wonderful to know I have healthy options near work. Also- the staff is really sweet and accommodating. And I always somehow how free stuff on my rewards card. I've had like three free meals since I joined. Do it.

This place was a great find for a healthy but still yummy meal. I had a West Side Burger without the bun and sweet potato fries. The burger was one of the best burgers I've had- it had the meat plus avocado and salsa. It was Delicious! The sweet potato fries were also amazing- they were extremely fresh and not baked too much so still tasted very natural and healthy. They also have great beverages (beet-ginger lemonade was surprisingly tasty!).

  • Jakob M.

The burgers are good but it is with everything else that they fall down. The fries are soggy not crisp and the homemade ketchup is worse than Heinz. Just give me real ketchup don't make your own. The milkshake was okay but not great. It was too thin and didn't have a lot of flavor. For the burger it was juicy and the bacon was crisp but because of everything else I will not be back.

I've been coming here for a little over a year, taking advantage of the fact that it's just next to Berklee. At first it seemed fine, I especially liked the buffalo burger. The people who own this business are overly-optimistic guys who do a good job of convincing you that their food and service is just so much better than regular fast food places. They will even give you freebies from time to time if you have the app. However, there are a few problems: -The actual employees are nowhere near as optimistic. They always treat you with indifference, like they're doing you a favor. (They're actually friendlier next door at Wendy's!). -They hardly bother to clean the place. Most of the time the employee's just shove the trash from the table down to the floor. -They are SLOW. Last time I was there, it took 15 minutes for my burger+fries to come out. All of this with an empty restaurant and two employees just sitting in the back, chatting about trivial stuff. -BGood takes pride in using seasonal potatoes from local farms. What that really means is that you could be stuck with a really bad tasting batch of potatoes for an entire season. If they could learn something from the big guys, is that their fries are perfectly consistent year-round. -The salads have almost as much calories as the burgers... so there goes the "healthy choice". All in all, with grumpy employees and lousy service, this is hardly an upgrade from fast food. All the hype is really just.... hype.

I've seen B. Good locations all around the city but have never been tempted to go in. I think it's the logo, for whatever reason, it just doesn't jive with me. Anyway, randomly decided to go in last week and was quite surprised by the variety of healthy options. I thought it was just another burger place and figured it was another veggie burger I could cross off my list (I have a mental checklist of all the veggie burgers in Boston). The veggie burger was alright. I don't know if it's vegan or not. I also got the Beet Ginger Lemonade, which was too sweet for my taste, but it was a nice alternative to regular lemonade. Also had a Kale and Quinoa bowl which was tasty, but at $9 I think I've had better salads. The staff was friendly. But they did forget to make my veggie burger until I said something about 10 minutes later. It was prepared immediately after this however so no points deducted there. Overall I think it's fine. I don't know that I'd go back. But maybe for the Green smoothie which seems to be chockfull of vitamins and nutrients.

Eh. Nothing special, really. They're slightly "different" kind of burgers and seemingly healthier but, still, nothing great. Got a salad, without the cheese and ordered sweet potato fries because that's what everyone said. The sweet potato fries were very good so get those. And the best part was that in the condiments section they had humungous bottles of sriracha so I made my special sriracha/ketchup mixture. Other than that, I wouldn't go back.

After sampling the newest froyo in Back Bay, Laura J and I put our things down, flipped 'em and reversed it by grabbing a quick dinner at b. good. This was my first experience with the local chain, and the personality of the company can't be beat - showing floating, Photoshop-separated heads of the real people responsible for every core ingredient or process from ground to gut. Sidenote: Frank, who supplies their potatoes, looks like a total card shark. Truth. The four burger options (beef, veggie, turkey, chicken sandwich) are crafted from all-natural ingredients, ground and hand packed in house, where applicable. Bonus points. I chose to gobble down the Turkey Burger made as Adopted Luke (BBQ sauce, Swiss, mushrooms and caramelized onions), a side of sweet potato fries and a soft drink. Then, I ordered a picket fence and 2.5 kids to round out the Americana meal. Laura went with The Hatchback - a baby spinach salad sprinkled with blue cheese, toasted almonds, dried apples and cherries, and tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Turkey is a tricky protein, easily overcooked and offering no real flavor when breast meat is used. Maybe a splash of house-made Worcestershire would bring that extra something that mustard alone just can't produce. The small patty had a charred bitterness to it and I wasn't too crazy about the BBQ sauce (thickened with cornstarch almost to a jam consistency.) The chunky sweet potato fries, while cooked throughout, could have used a more stable frame. Limp fries = sliced baked potato = not fries. Laura's beautiful salad, however, was simple, covered every taste bud and knocked my socks off with its freshitude. Tried to switch meals, but she said no. Then she said ok, I got excited and then she said no again. Jerk. Second point of awesome: the peach iced tea is crazy delicious and comes with free refills. And we'll all float on, okay. I'd go back. As mentioned, turkey burgers are tough, whereas beef just cheats with bloody, metallic goodness. So maybe it's the grass-fed cow (or that damned salad!) on the return trip, as long as the great guys behind b. good know that there will, in fact, be one.

As a general rule, I like this place. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. My Adopted Luke turkey burger was super tasty, as was my strawberry-banana fruit(?) shake. (The question mark is there because it tasted far too creamy/good to have had solely fruit in it, I suspect...) However, it lost a star for the sweet potato fries. I'm a huge sweet potato fry fan, and in my opinion, these were just far too soggy. I agree they do taste more like "real" potatoes, but since I suspect that they're not actually any better for me, I'd rather have the yummy appropriately-fried type. The other half a star is because this particular location is extraordinarily hot. It seemed as though they didn't have an A/C in there, or at least not a strong enough one, the last two times I visited. This was especially disappointing last time, when I stopped in on a 100-degree day for the primary purpose of having lunch someplace other than my 100-degree apartment.

I am only giving this place two stars because of the burger I had. Other than that, everything was TERRIBLE, including the fountain drinks. I got the Adopted Luke (mushroom swiss & bbq sauce) with fries and a drink. I don't usually like BBQ sauce, but it tasted amazing with this burger. I was excited to try the fries, but unfortunately, all of them were soggy. I basically had to dunk it in ketchup to give it taste. I also tried the sweet potato fries and it was HORRIBLE. It was my first time trying it, so I'm not sure if this is how it's suppose to taste. If it is, then no thanks to sweet potato fries. This is my first time trying b.good, and I don't think I would be returning, unless I am really desperate for a burger and can't find a nice restaurant with amazing burgers AND fries nearby.

They do have the best sweet potato fries but why are they always semi burnt (see pic)? Can they reduce the baking time? Their mango shake is great for the summer, not too sweet, just right

Cheeseburgers are good, especially when you're wandering home after a run, tired and hungry and sweaty in a March summer heat wave. Having cycled through most of my usual spots this one week, i decided to try b.good, despite its' ample warnings about how healthy and locally produced it was. For one, i appreciated their well-placed air-conditioning vents showering frosty air upon me whilst i waited for their food. Other than that, the burger was good, with a decent grilled flavor to it. The bun was whole-wheat-ish, which i could do without. The french fries were solid and i enjoyed them. All in all, though, it wound up costing only 50¢ less than Tasty Burger, and significantly more than Uburger, both of which are delicious and don't come with the shame of feeling like i'm in danger of eating healthy and being in any way virtuous. So if it's all the same to them, i will prefer to b. evil from now on, but i'm sure they'll be fine without me.

I honestly can't remember the last time I purchased something from b.good, but ever since I became a "Family Member" (their name for a Rewards Member--you just have to give them your email), I seem to get free stuff almost every week. None of it's especially good, mind you, but I'll take it (and enjoy it) if it's free.

Quality burgers, with an emphasis on local sourcing. Yes, it's fast food, but you can pretend it's good for you and kind of believe it. Both the regular burger and the turkey version were juicy and flavorful. The toppings were fresh. I like that toppings come grouped under cute headings, so that you can order a harmonious combo without working too hard. The sweet potato fries were limp, heavy, and undercooked: pretty disappointing. The strawberry shake I tasted was thick but had an odd aftertaste, almost medicinal. It was made with Toscanini's ice cream, so it should have been ambrosial. This was a minor detail though, and perhaps just a matter of taste.

Dear B.Good, Where have you been all my life!? Seriously, this place packs in tons of flavor, and as someone trying to lose a few lbs before my friends weddings this summer, I just want to say you make dieting EASY. Its not even dieting here, though! First off, I'm glad that you provide all the nutritional information to your food, it makes my life way easier (I'm currently doing alot of calorie counting). More than this, though, your food packs the punch in each and every little bite. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. Real. Bleu. Cheese. That's all I have to say. It was soooooo flavorful and filling. My hubs and I shared a side of fries and we were content. My hubs hates that I put him through food hell while I'm dieting, so it was awesome that he got to get a DOUBLE burger with cheese and be super content without having to suffer through my little restrictions. A man needs his meat! Anyway, B. Good, you are good to me and we will for sure be back!

I walk past this place pretty much on dally basis. Yesterday, I had this burger craving and I figured I'd give them a try. I had the cousin oliver burger, which had tomato, lettuce, onion and pickles. That is my perfect combination for a burger. No cheese. The sesame bun was toasted, which was a nice touch. Their meat is processed in house, and the burger patty definitely tasted fresher then your average fast food joint burger, but it didn't wow me or anything. I think Ill give the burger another chance. I also looked up their nutrition info and the burger (with no cheese) comes out to be 440 calories, which is not a bad deal, considering you are eating a fast food burger. The fries were amazing. Not too crunchy, not too soggy. Perfect. I'll definitely be back for more fries. The service was kinda of slow. I think there were a least 6 people working and there was no line, but it took about 15 minutes for the burger and fries to be ready. I wonder what its like during busy lunch hour. The place itself is nice, lots of window seating and free wifi.

Had the avocado orange salad last friday night. i never had anything from here and i wasn't expecting much, but i gotta say the salad was pretty good. a hefty amount of toppings and the dressing wasn't too bad. kinda wish they had a different dressing for it, but honestly for a fast food place they probably have the best salads :)

Not a typical hamburger-based restaurant. Come here only if you are willing to put down a little less than $10 for a combo plate--if you insist on having fresh food for dinner. The hamburgers are handmade and the management makes it clear to inform its customers of the origins of its ingredients. This location gets it veggies from a guy named Dick, apparently. Since it was my first visit, I was careful and ordered a regular hamburger with fries and a drink. It was readily clear that the lettuce, tomato and onions in the sandwich were fresh. The meat had a nice charbroiled texture and was cooked medium, maybe even medium rare, and was flavorful. The fries were hand cut and looked a lot like those at Charley's on Newbury. They were okay, some were overdone. Three stars because I have yet to try their specialties or their chicken sandwich, upon which I'm pretty sure I'll upgrade to four stars. The El Guapo burger looks appetizing, but I'll see if my instinct is true.

Have you ever wished that you could get healthy take-out food as conveniently as you can pick up the greasy burgers? Like, "I could be so skinny if only it wasn't so darn convenient to get bad for me food and so time consuming and expensive to prepare something healthy"? Yeah, me too. Well, enough people must have rubbed magic lamps and expressed the same wish, because we have b.good. And it couldn't be easier. Pick one of four "bases" (burger/ turkey burger/ veggie burger/ chicken), a size, and one of six finishes. Add a side, perhaps a smoothie, and you're set! I opted for the chicken sandwich with the "West Side" finish. (avocado, cilantro, tomato, salsa). I got a "hugo" sized sandwich, their equivalent of small, with a side of "Crispy Veggies" and it was PLENTY of food. Quick, delicious, healthy, cheap. Skinny jeans, prepare to leave my closet!

I want to like b.good, because it's such a fantastic business model. I love the transparency in the production of their food, and I can feel good about ordering the food here. But it's pricey and it doesn't deliver the quality I expect when I pay those sorts of prices. The burgers are staunchly average, and like a lot of other modern places, they try to cover that up by advertising the bunch of things you can put on your burger. I've had perfectly good meals here, but nothing that seemed amazing.

The food is all locally sourced, which is great and one big reason I frequent B Good. It'd be great if they composted to close the sustainability loop.

It has been a few months since I have moved from Boston, but OH and I developed a bit of a b.good addiction when we were looking for something tasty, reasonably healthy and reasonably priced without sitting down to dinner. I have tried all of the types of burgers - the beef is lovely, and I love how it is not cooked to death. I am also a fan of their veggie burger - however sometimes it was a little bit dry. The stand out though from a cooking perspective has to be the grilled chicken. ALWAYS moist - NEVER chewy or leathery, but still with a decent grilled taste. For a fast food joint, that is pretty good going in my opinion. Baked fries also great, I loved it when they had corn as their seasonal veggie, but the surprise was the crunch and the freshness of the crisp veggies. B.good - I do miss you

I went to the Mass Ave location of b.good for the first time recently and got a bacon chesseburger with lettuce and caramelized onions. Not really my usual fare, but it was pretty good. I got the burger, which I remembered being larger than it was, and a drink, for just under 11 bucks after tip. I also don't remember it being so expensive. If I had gotten fries as well, (which I have had in the past, and are excellent), I can probably expect to add 2-3 dollars. So the meal was small and expensive. I'd probably give this 2 stars normally, but the burger is probably as healthy as you can find a burger to be in Boston without going veggie, and it did taste good. Also, the lemonade was kickass. The store location is right on Mass Ave in Boston, so it is very accessible to a large area. It would make a good pit stop for a midday shopper or student, or anyone in a rush really. The burgers come out from the kitchen pretty fast. Overall, it was okay, just not great.

B.Good on Mass Ave is a great little burger place. It's hard to miss the sign for it, but even harder to miss the sidewalk painting Larry Birds face right out front (whether or not this was a B.Good addition, I know not). Now, I'm no "tree-huggin, birkenstock-wearin, totebag-instead-of-grocery-bag usin" organic/health food nut. But this place is organic for all the right reasons. All the beef is natural, hand ground (on site) and not processed prior to becoming a burger. The veggies are fresh, most of which they grow themselves. The fries are delicious, and the iced tea is very welcome on warm days. Now, all of these things are good. Both in the "enviromentally friendly, cut down on beef processing plants" and the "better for you, no strange and scary chemicals in my food" kind of way. But neither of those really affect me. What I'm interested in, is the "This burger tastes amazing... like an actual burger, not a McDonalds burger" kind of vibe they got goin on here. Also they're awesome to "like" on facebook, because they update constantly with menu change competitions, pictures of their garden (and new food truck) and free coupon giveaways. They also like to make lighthearted competition with the new Ben and Jerry's truck that's been parading Boston. Awesome!

A brand new location for b.good just opened up on Mass Ave! I've been so-so about their burgers and fries in the past, but something about the meal I had there today really rekindled my interest in this chain. Despite a horribly busy lunch rush (combined with opening day!) they were quick to get the food out to everyone waiting, and it was still delicious. They seem to have a much faster paced setup here as compared to their Harvard location (the only other I'm familiar with) which should serve them well in this high-student-traffic Berklee area. I tried the El Guapo, a choice I'd recommend to everyone else. The house-ground, all-local burgers are really good. The fries, which I had previously thought of as a little on the mushy side, have really improved with their new baking method -- and yes, they are still the healthier baked fries! I didn't go for the shake today, but I will definitely be hitting up this near-work location again, and trying them out too. A couple notes for people with food restrictions: b.good has their regular all-local beef burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, and chicken for pattie options, as well as a gluten free bun. I've only tried their regular wheat bun and beef burger though, so I can't speak to these items' deliciousness.

Good burger and a nice atmosphere. They do a great job promoting freshly farmed ingredients - from the small-time farmers in PEI to locally grown in MA. It's a sit down place that is affordable and trendy. Perfect for hungry students or anyone who wants a really good burger (generous portion) without having to be waited on at a restaurant. Their veggie burgers tasted great! The Sweet Potato Fries were good ... not too fried or hard. They actually tasted like REAL potatoes ... not the salty sticks of fried oil served at fast food places.

I am such a fan of b.good. When they opened this location who knew it was going to have a tv & also room upstairs for local musicians. Very cool set up. You also can't go wrong w/ whatever you order. It's just so damn tasty.

Okay, is it weird that I think there's something off about this particular b.good? I've been to the one on Newbury and the one on Dartmouth, and I think the Mass Ave location is noticeably worse. The burger just doesn't feel as fresh, the fries aren't as crisp, etc. I know I sound crazy, and I sort of feel crazy for saying it, especially because you'd think that b.good would be pretty consistent from place to place. But I stand by my statement. Also, seating is pretty hectic, especially since this one has pretty much become the Berklee student center.

This place never disappoints. This place is right down the street from me, and whether I'm running home from work and need a quick place to eat, or if my boyfriend and I want a delicious cheap burger, this place always does it. Also, since its located on Berklee's campus, on Monday nights, you can enjoy your burger with a healthy dose of jazz upstairs - how cool is that? My personal favorites? The Adopted Luke and the West Side.

I eat b.good about once a week. I used to get UBurger a lot, but I think b.good is much better! I alternate between the burger and the chicken burger, but I always stick with Cousin Oliver w/ low fat cheddar. The food is always super fresh and delish. I still need to try their turkey burger. Their salads are also pretty good, but I haven't found one I love. I feel so healthy eating here :)

This place sucks! Don't be fooled! They call it healthy, maybe its local but it made me feel more ill than any other fast food in my life! Nice that ingredients are local and price and vibe are fine but the meat tasted bloody and cheap and undercooked! Don't go here w/o blocking out some time for brutal indigestion!

i LOVE fries! the fact that their fries are hand-made and fresh made till you order it made me HAVE TO try this place.... i do like it, but not really in love with it... still recommend it though since at least it's a healthier kind of fast food! come to CA! i'll buy you in-n-out! =p

Ok I've witten about this place before. The burgers are delicious, the food is fresh and healthy, locally sourced, grass fed...... but this time I want to comment about the service at the Mass Ave location. I just called at 10:57 pm when they close at 11pm. I figured nobody would answer. Not only did the guy answer but he was more then happy to take my order. Meanwhile every other restaurant here won't take an order past 10:30. Every time I go to this location I get great friendly service and I'm always close to closing and they never rush me. I think its great customer service to work every minute up until the end of the shift. Thank you.

I've always liked b. good for their excellent baked fries and their chocolate shakes, however, I decided to check out this location last night and tried one of their salad. LOVE the salad. I had the hatchback which features spinach, arugula, dried apples, dried cherries, almonds and BLUE CHEESE . Also, this salad is HUGE and less than 400 calories. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey at $7.

Although the food is a bit pricey, I think it is definitely worth it. I found this place when I needed something quick and healthy and that's exactly what I got. I got the spicy avocado quinoa bowl and it was delicious! I also had the sweet potato fries which tasted good but were pretty soggy and some natural soda, which was great. I am definitely coming back here when I return to Boston.

I got the cousin Oliver beef burger, which was ok, but lacked flavor and came pretty small. The southwestern chicken on the side I ordered sat on the counter for a while as my burger was being made. It wasn't much of a salad - mostly roasted chicken with some avocado and very little in the way of leafy vegetables. Decent food that seems fairly healthy, but a little pricey for what you get.

  • Laura C.

The food was alright, but the service I received here was abysmal and they gave me the wrong order. I've had B Good before in other locations and never had a complaint, but this location is god awful. In a nutshell: - Took over 15 minutes to prepare the salad (ALL the ingredients were on the line ready to go) -- everyone else who ordered after me, got their food before me. - Ordered WITHOUT chicken, clarified this 2 times with the cashier, the guy puts chicken on the salad (even as myself and the people I was with were saying, "Excuse me, sir? I hope that chicken isn't for my salad. Sir? Sir... sir... sir. Excuse me? Siiiiiiiiiiir. Jesus Christmas, really did you just do that." - No apology offer, just "I can take the chicken off" - Forgot to make the smoothie, so I had to ask them twice make it - Made the wrong salad entirely (ordered the harvest kale and I have no fucking clue what they gave me) - Overpriced as shit. $15 for a salad and smoothie, really? Needless to say, I will never go back to this B Good location.
