Not Thai food! Tasted like American fast food. Business lunch Friday ... the place was quite busy considering it is between Christmas and New Years. We had spring rolls to start. They were dry, deep fried industrially made rolls (or I should call them sticks). Yuck. As main course I had the Red Snapper (Menu says: Deep fried red snapper fillet topped with red pepper and fresh chilli house sauce on the top of sliced fresh cabbage and carrot). The waitress warned me that it is very spicy. I emphasized that I want it extra spicy. It was bland. No spice, little taste. The fish was extremely dry and tough. Hard to tell that it was fish. Service was friendly, but not functional. First the drinks didn't come. We had to ask after the appetizer arrived. They did come just before the first (my) main dish arrived. Then the second main courses came almost five minutes after the first one. So I am sitting there waiting for my colleague's chicken while my fish is getting cold.

I eat a fair amount of Thai food and am always trying different places I encounter. However, Siam Delight is consistently the best. The food is always delicious and the portions are generous. I go out of my way to come here and have never been disappointed. My only complaint is that they don't offer brown rice.

i would NOT recommend this restaurant. the food is good but the service is absolutely the worst! my wife ordered chicken pad thai and was given chicken satay. my son took a quick bite before we realized it was not something we ordered. we were forced to pay for it and the manager or owner who took our order insisted (basically argued with us) that she ordered satay and not pad thai. when my wife kept telling her that she must have misunderstood what she had said, she just kept repeating that we ordered satay so we have to pay for it. NEVER AGAIN!!!

For many years, Thai food in Beverly has an establishment who can resemble the incredibly vibrant, flavorful soups, curries and salads from Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The chefs at Siam Delight create classic Thai experiences - both on the extreme ends of the spectrum: either sweet (pad thai noodles) or hot (curries and salads) with the talent to blend for the moderate taste. Having eaten at Siam over the past 4 years - I've come to appreciate, and enjoy, the complex harmony of sweet, sour, salty and spicy - usually all in one dish - not to mention the careful, simultaneous balance between soft and crunchy textures. Thanks to a daring sense of culinary adventure and a proliferation of understanding, l know that Thai food can and does have an incredible depth of flavor. Must begin with ordering Thai Iced coffee...Thai iced coffee is brewed using strong black coffee, sweetened with sugar, heavy cream, and cardamom, quickly cooled and served over ice. This iced coffee combined with my next favorite appetizer, the chicken satay. Satay is a dish of marinated, skewered and grilled meat, served with a peanut sauce, and cucumber salad. Siam's cucumber salad is an arrangement with finely diced carrot, and rice vinegar. This paired with the iced coffee really prepares me for my entree. Back when I was new to Thai cuisine, I asked to try a milder curry, my tastes running to a maximum of medium heat. Yellow curry was recommended, and the coconut milk based version is a treat with both seafood and chicken...-something I've had occasion to order again and again. Layers of flavor come through over the numerous vegetables, and generous helping of rice provide an extremly pleasant combination. Siam Delight's currys each have an excellent base flavor, after trying other local curries, I feel Siam Delight has the best on the North Shore, providing the balance of spice I had mentioned earlier. Each visit to Siam is quite affordable, their prices are excellent, and have a great selection of beer for under 4 bucks!

I am not a fan, yet I am always outvoted for take out Thai food while at my in-laws as everyone else thinks the other place(s) are "too spicy". Ugh. I mean look, this place is not bad but its not good either, and doesn't have much of a Thai feel to it, seems a bit generic (lack of spice for one... even when you ask for spicy... its not that spicy). And the curries are weird, to me. Like, whats up with all the extra vegetables they add? Keep it simple! Found the beef to be overcooked too the last few times. Spring rolls tasted like they came frozen. Crispy egg noodles were waaaay overcooked to the point they were actually burnt. Meh.

I tried Siam delight last week and I already want to go back! The atmosphere is comfortable and cute, and servers were welcoming and attentive. I had trouble choosing an appetizer (most things are fried and I wanted something steamed) and our waitress helped us choose dumplings. We got 10 dumplings for $5 and they were very good. I also got the wonton soup. I don't know what is in that broth but I've been craving it ALL week! My husband and I are going back tonight just so I can have the soup! We also got the pad thai (delicious) and the fever chicken (also delicious and not too spicy. The best thing about this place is $3 beers! nice! A small, but decent selection.

I've been waiting to write a review on Siam Delight even though it is staple takeout in our household. The problem is that we love the curries so much that's all we ever order! Finally a friend was over recently when we ordered and she got the pad thai, so I feel like I can write a slightly more comprehensive reviews. First, the service is always good. The person who takes orders over the phone is easy to understand and so far, always gets the order right the first time. Delivery is always fast and the food almost always arrives before they say it will. I will say that the curry (red curry and panang, specifically) is the best we've had! We always order it with chicken, which is tender and perfectly cooked. There are lots of vegetables that are very fresh and still have some meatiness to them, they aren't cooked to mush. The curry sauces are very flavorful, very rich. The portion sizes are excellence - we get three large servings out of each one. I also order extra chili sauce on the side because I like it spicy. I wish I could find this stuff in the store (have tried different brands but nothing compares). It's so good! Definitely 5 stars for the curry and the chili sauce! I tried the pad thai that my friend ordered and I'm sorry to say that it wasn't that great (I wanted to love it!) It wasn't terrible, but it was oddly sweet and just generally not great. Still, if we want take out this is where we order. If I ever get around to trying something else I'll update the review but in the meantime, don't hesitate to order (at least the curry!) from Siam Delight. Edit: My sister came for dinner last week and we ordered from Siam Delight. She got the stir fry chicken with pineapple - very good! Another 5 star meal! I was afraid the sauce would be overly sweet but it wasn't. The veggies were nice and crisp and the pineapple added just the right amount of sweetness.

Went here with my boyfriend on a weekday night for dinner. The service was excellent and the food came quickly. I ordered the vegetarian delight and the boyfriend ordered the chicken red curry (he was slightly disappointed to find that their curries run on the sweeter side). All in all the experience was good but we just ordered the "wrong" things.

I've been going here since it was in the tiny location Cielito Lindo now occupies, and it is always a delicious meal. The waitstaff are always friendly, the portions are very generous, and the food always tastes fresh. People are obviously going to have their favorite Thai/Chinese/etc mainstays, so form your own opinion. I for one think it's the only option around. Do: get the veggie drunken noodle with tofu Don't: go expecting fast service on a weekend night

My favorite Thai place. The foods excellent. Eating in is pleasurable, it's very casual and the atmosphere is relaxing. Take out is great too! I wouldn't go anywhere else for Thai.

I love this Thai restaurant. It has a great menu and service. I usually will get it for take out on my way home. It's always ready when I get there. The prices are reasonable and I love the Pad Thai, can never go wrong with that! I love Shrimp in a Blanket for an appetizer and sometimes will get Squid which is amazing. The seafood dishes are a bang for your buck!

So I'd give the food 4-5 stars, but the last few times I have gone the service has been horrendous. We were there an hour and fifteen minutes the last time. We had 5 people and everyone's meal came out separately. One appetizer arrived 5 minutes after we ordered, the next 40 minutes. The take out business was booming, but it seems to be at the expense of customers eating in the restaurant, not sure if it's a waitstaff issue or kitchen issue but after a few times taking an hour plus to get food I am pretty much done, which is a bummer because their food is good.

I have been a long time fan of Siam Delight but after tonight's meal I will NEVER be back. I don't have a lot to say except that I had bad chicken in my pad thai. As my partner's pad thai was cooked with mine she ALSO had bad chicken in hers. We let the waitress know about the chicken, she seemed confused. She did go and tell the kitchen about it, they looked at our dishes, then sent us the bill for everything. Siam Delight, thanks for attempting to murder me, if I end up in the ER with food poisoning I know who to send the bill to.

Not a huge fan. I was excited that there was a Thai restaurant nearby but that enthusiasm soon faded after our one and only dinner there. The food was so-so at best and the environment was severely lacking. Service was slow at best. Might consider take-out but certainly not to eat-in again.

  • H J.

I LOVE the food here, and this is definitely our go-to thai place. The veggies are fresh and never over-cooked, they always get our order right, and the atmosphere is nice. We did have a little problem with the take-out. I called in the order, put it under my name, and when my husband went to pick it up, they said they never received the order. What?! I just told it to someone on the phone! They had to make the order again, and because it was a weekend night, it took 40 minutes. That means we had to wait over 1.5 hours for our meal. They didn't even offer to take anything off the bill or even apologize, which is so bizarre to me. So, I don't think we will order take-out from SD again, but we'll certainly continue eating there. The food is too good to stay away!

  • Kenneth S.

OMG, the food was fantastic!! That's all I really have to say, because it says it all. My wife and I absolutely love this place. Best Thai in town, and not at all expensive. Only downsides are that they only have lunch and dinner service, so if you happen to be eating a late lunch at 3pm, they are not open. The second one is that it's a hole in the wall next to a dry cleaner, so it doesn't present itself to be a good restaurant on the outside. Once you step in the doors, you find yourself in an elegant + affordable restaurant. Four thumbs up!

I cannot believe how many positive reviews this place has. Eating here on Saturday night was a big mistake. I am a strict vegetarian; you would think that is no problem going to a Thai restaurant right? WRONG. There is a whole page dedicated to vegetarian meals on the menu. My friends and I excitedly started to order and luckily the first one ordering decided to confirm he was a strict vegetarian with the waitress. The waitress then proceeded to tell us that all the curries and peanut sauce had fish sauce in them. Yet these were listed on the vegetarian menu. (I don't give a rat's @$$ what anyone says, if you eat fish, you're not a vegetarian.. you might be a pescetarian, but NOT a vegetarian!) So basically we could have their "brown sauces". Sounds so appetizing right? Not only was the brown sauce boring, it's not the reason you'd go out for Thai food. The waitress said it would be 20 minutes to cook the meals, but brought them out in less than 10.. So I couldn't be surprised that my veggies were undercooked, AKA almost raw. I have nothing against raw veggies, I eat them almost daily for lunch. But when I want a cooked meal, I want a cooked meal. So basically, not only was the vegetarian menu not vegetarian, but it also tasted bad.

food tastes great. went back after missing a few years and the consistency is still there. we ordered about 8 different dishes and everything was great. the lady there is friendly, probably the owner. dishes range from $8 - $10.50

Great place for Thai food. My company basically keeps this place open because so many people head in for lunch. Big Portions. Recommend the Drunken Chicken.

This is out household takeout standby. The Noodles on the Beach and Night Magic are good. Not the greatest Pad Thai but that does not stop me from ordering it

So excited about this place. I took a work group out to lunch here on a colleagues recommendation and was not disappointed. The appetizers were exceptional (steamed shrimp dumplings with a killer sweet vinegar sauce and veggie spring rolls) and my house style crispy duck was everything you would want. Large chunks of succulent crisp duck with just the right amount of heat in the sauce. Highly recommended.

I've always been a big fan of Thai food. Unfortunately this place has the worst Thai food I have ever had. I ordered Pad See Yue which is a noodle dish and chicken wings. Pad See Yue was very disappointing. It didn't have much flavor and it was over cooked. The wings themselves are not the worst, but they were served with ketchup which is a huge down grade from the chili sauce that every other Thai restaurant serves. Now talk about their website. I really wonder who designed their website. It is extremely difficult to look up the menu items and completely stupid. The only good things about this place are the nice server and the place is pretty clean.

According to the owner here, Thai food is like jazz music, each place does it slightly different. If that's the case, then Siam Delight is the leader of this band. The thai food here is very good. I tried several dishes here that I haven't seen at other thai restaurants. Their eggrolls are really good and they come with this delicious pineapple dipping sauce. The broth in the tom yum gai was light but still brought together a lot of flavors. Other favorites were the green curry and a spicy beef dish I can't remember the name of. The pad thai is interesting, it's made with slightly more sauce than other places I've had it at. Service was great, and the place is really spacious for groups. Decor is really nice for a neighborhood thai joint. Hope to come back the next time we're around this area.

Best Thai food place I've ever been. Every time I come back to Beverly, MA I have to go here. Every dish is great. The vegetables are SO fresh. The Pad Thai is perfect (comes with chicken and shrimp). As an appetizer get the Golden Triangles (crispy wonton skins with chicken inside and a pineapple dipping sauce). All the stir fries are awesome but I'm preferential to the Spicy Bamboo Shoot or the Drunken Chicken (which is on the specials page). The Massaman curry is amazing. This place knows how to do everything right and they are consistent, and reasonably priced. My only suggestions for Siam Delight is to make the menu a little shorter (my grandmother reads through the whole thing every time and always orders the same dish.... ). And offer some desserts. Coconut Ice Cream maybe? Or Mango Sticky Rice. But neither of those really matter because this place is the best! I can't say it enough... best Thai food ever.

Surprised by this find. The restaurant is next to the dry cleaner so we passed by it. Restaurant has it's own parking lot. The tamarind duck was very good but the house special, "Noodle on the Beach" was bland by my taste. Service and food preparation was good. Restaurant has been around since 1998 (by the sign on the wall). Limited alcohol selection.

I gave Siam kind of a raw deal on my first review because the Tom Yum Soup was too limey. I have not tried it since, but I can say that their Crystal Pad Thai and Panang, Red,and Green Curries have been outstanding, as I have frequented this place over the past few years. Only down side is that it seems pricy...but, highly recommended anyway.

SO delicious! Really great pad Thai noodles. The staff is wicked nice too, very helpful and always make great recommendations on different dishes to try. They also have a very interesting Thai beer selection. Well worth checking out for something a little different.

Siam Delight is overrated....Sorry to burst your bubble Siam! The food is okay, nothing special. They have many options which is nice and I've tried it a few different things but nothing really stuck out. Some of the meat is pretty fatty actually but their sauces are pretty delicious.

Ok, I've been waiting weeks to write a review of this place, but I kept holding off until I could add another star... it was a steady three (I'll explain below) for me until last night when I tried the vegetable tempura... it was delicious! Amazing! Perfect! The vegetables were great, nicely cooked, fresh tasting and looking, and in the most amazing batter... fried golden and super crispy, not oily or greasy. Seriously, it was like magic. I wish I had more right now. I even ate some cold leftovers later in the night and they were delicious! How could that be possible, right? Everybody knows battered, fried food is only good when hot and fresh, right? No, it was still crispy! Five stars for the veggie tempura! Back to the three starred part... the food is good, always. Good tasting, fresh tasting, but never more than good. A solid C. Decent, worth the money, I enjoy eating it, but it's nothing fantastic. This is, however, ONLY because of the textures! The vegetables are always just a little overcooked. Just a tiny bit too mushy. The wide rice noodles are also just a little overcooked, every time. And just a tiny bit too mushy. The thin rice noodles are always just a little undercooked. Crunchy. The textures are all in the wrong place and it throws me off every. single. time. If everything was cooked properly, I'd give this place a 5! But it's not. I've never been inside, just ordered for delivery, so I can't comment on the appearance or on the waitstaff, but I can tell you that the delivery food always comes sooner than they tell me. So, that's it. Good, sometimes amazing, would be my favorite takeout around if it wasn't for the texture thing.

I've been to lots of Thai restaurants and tried many different kinds of their foods. But I must say, when my friend strongly recommended this place and claimed that this place had the best pad thai, I had to try it! Upon entering, the atmosphere was chill, cozy, and dim. Staff were very friendly and considering it was Saturday dinnertime, we were seated right away! My three friends and I decided to order three main dishes and do a family style. That way, we can try the different dishes. We ordered pad thai, green curry, and a beef dish (I forgot the name of it, forgive me). The food came out FAST. But did it affect the taste? No way. The food was DELICIOUS. This was probably the most flavorful, delicious pad thai that I've had for a while. It was pretty good. The green curry was delicious too! The spicy-ness was just right...it kicked in from nowhere. So good. Beverly is pretty far from where I am...but I do have plenty of friends that live around that area...time to make more trip up there...to visit friends, of course...may be...

Siam Delight is the Best Thai food on the north shore of Boston. With an abundant number Thai restaurants we can go to we always head to Siam Delight. Food is super fresh (cooked to order) and very tasty. Lunch prices are fantastic with a large amount of food - dinner menu is a little more but you will have leftovers to take home. Try the House Favorite - all have been very good.

Great food and great price. Nice little find! The people are very nice and they were really fast. It might have taken only 10 to 15 minutes for our food to come. This will become one of my favorites in the area!

Ok...i've been going here for over 10 years. Can I just go right into their pad thai?? It is the best pad thai I've ever had. I've been to famous and well known thai restaurants in boston and nyc but cannot beat this local thai place in beverly. As I eat this pad thai, I can hear the pad thai speaking to me saying....yes, eat me, I am the best pad thai ever. I rule all pad thais. But I wouldn't be going here if that's the only thing this place offered. Their country fried rice and spice squid dishes are well known by any regular Sima Delight customers. I love their atmosphere. It's trendy and warm. Service? not gonna complain. It's decent. Though they raised the price recently, I would still consider this place on the cheaper side. But that's the not the only change in this restaurant. One day, I noticed the difference in my pad thai. I wondered what was going on. How can I tell? Because I've been eating this for 10 years. Sometimes, when I have huge cravings, i came to this place 3-4 times a week. So when I asked around, I found out that they changed their chefs. I would have given 5 star, but now, with the chef change, it only got worse. But don't worry Siam Delight, I did not disown you. Where are you, my original chef?? come back, ok??

I've been coming here since it opened over 10 years ago. The Pad Thai is delicious with lots of big shrimps in it. I've also have the sweet and sour tofu which is filled with vegetables and tofu cooked perfectly. The wait staff is friendly. This is a great place for Beverly. Most recently I got a take out order of Pad Thai. It was ready for me in about 5 minutes and delicious. Good local find in downtown Beverly. Parking too!

I try to hit this place at least once a month, and my wife and I have been going here for the last 10 years or so. The folks that run it do a great job, the food is always spectacular and the service is good. The Drunken Chicken (a mildly spicy cashew chicken dish with a PERFECT sauce) is a consistent favorite and probably one of my top 10 favorite 'eat regularly' dishes from any restaurant, as is their pad thai. My kids love the Thai fried rice. You can't go wrong with most of the curries or the spicy squid, either. They moved and renovated within the last few years, so there's a lot more space for seating than there used to be. It's a great improvement, tastefully decorated, and the separate take-out pickup area is really nice. I see in some recent reviews the chefs may have changed, but I haven't really experienced a difference in quality.

Good thai food. I definitely wouldn't say its the best I've had but its was better than average. The prices were good, interior attractive, and the service was attentive. Best thai I've seen in Boston so far.

Best Thai place on the North Shore...best Thai place I've ever been to. Portions are big, prices are reasonable. The staff is kind, especially if you're a regular. Every time I go back to the North Shore I try to go. The decor is really odd, not fitting of what you might expect of a Thai place. Which is nice because it doesn't have all that cheesy "look we're an asian restaurant" feel. So try it out, it is good. Trust me.

  • Jake M.

Were we delighted? Mostly. Quite cozy for a large open room, and quite toasty on a frigid, snowy evening. Filled up fast and was fairly hopping right after we sat down around 6ish on a Saturday. Food was tasty, if nothing all too special, but hit the spot for exactly what we were looking for just then. Approved. (Also, never got an answer about it's relationship to the adjacent Sam's Laundry next door. Which came first? The signage out front, with a dominant Sam's and an impossible to spot Siam, which led to us driving by blithely, twice, would swing in favor of the laundry. But the difference of the "i" compels...)

I just moved down the street and this place has been such a treasure! I love thai food, and imagine right at the end of the steet!? I got vegetable tempuras and they were huge and delicious. The cashnew chicken was pretty amazing too, along with the pad thai. My first order was take out, and my second time at the restaurant that is really nice inside with a great atmosphere. I feel like this place could be overlooked by the typical passerby, but stop next time it is worth it :)

I really do like this place not because it's the only tasty Thai place in my area but that you know what you'll get every time: good food at a reasonable price. Some have given negative responses because of a bad experience; but my goodness! can't a place make a mistake here and there? we are human beings. There's a famous quote, "you are as good as your last meal" and it's true. However, this famous quote is always being used by chefs/owners of HIGH END restaurants. Rightly so! If I pay 140.00 for a 12 course meal, i expect it to be FREAKING perfect. I hate to break it to those harsh critics out there but Thomas Keller, nor Eric Ripert, nor Charlie Trotter works or own this place. Just chill and give this place another chance. After much complaining and with the power of Yelp, Siam Delight finally made me Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli dish and it was tasty (not amazing; nevertheless tasty). The crunchiness of the pork and the slight bitterness of the greens is a the perfect marriage. My only complaint about this specially ordered dish was the price: 9.25 for lunch is tad bit expensive. So PEOPLE PLEASE SPECIAL ORDER THIS DISH SO THE OWNERS PERMANENTLY ADD IT INTO THE MENU.

This is hands-down the best Thai food in the North Shore! We have only ever had take out, but love it so much we have it about once every two weeks. Their beef soup is amazing, Red Curry Beef, Noodle on the Beach and the Tam Kai Soup (spelling) is the BEST! Friendly, affordable and delicious makes this a 5 star!!

Dank veggie Pad Thai. Dank Dank Dank. No fish sauce, no egg, no problem. I have literally ordered 5 of them this week (one was for a friend). Super fast pick up, and it's friggin $6.35. That's over $4 cheaper than the Kok in Salem. Although the Kok has a couple other veggies thrown in like bok choy. Dankness.

Seriously, this is the best Thai food there is on the East Coast. I have been to Thai places all over Boston, Somerville, Brooklyn, and Manhattan and all fall short to Siam Delight. The food is no where near healthy, but it is not overly oily nor salty like many other Thai places. Delight's Masaman Curry and Pad Thai are their best dishes, and ones I frequently bought while on break from school. If you think you have tried the best Thai place somewhere else, take the trip to Beverly and be proven wrong.

  • Catherine G.

The food was fine, but the service was TERRIBLE! It's the first time ever that I've walked out of a restaurant without leaving a tip. And I didn't feel even a twinge of guilt about that. My dining companion and I were virtually forgotten and ignored, and although I saw "servers" standing around idly in the kitchen, our order was not promptly taken, once it arrived no one checked on us to see whether we needed anything, and I had to go into the kitchen myself to get a bottle of soy sauce which we had requested several times (by walking over to the server to ask for some ... she never looked toward our table). Dunno if I'll go back. It's not like we were loud, or rude or excessively demanding. We were just normal diners who wanted dinner!

This place is great! As I'm sure a lot of others can attest to, I am always a little concerned about Asian restaurants in rural areas where there are actually no people of Asian decent. That said, this place was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The restaurant itself is situated in an oddly small building shared only with a dry cleaners, but the interior is gorgeous. Very modern and clean, and a giant HDTV playing video of beaches and things, not your typical sports or news, definitely a very relaxed environment. The staff were very friendly and lightning quick on just about everything. As for the food, it was of the highest quality. I ordered their Pad Thai, which was excellent. It was very fresh and not dried out noodles, with some delicious tofu, and some unexpected veggies like zucchini and squash. I also ordered the Pad See-Ew which was also excellent. They have a great menu selection to satisfy anything you're looking for, even some with rice, glass and other non-local types of noodles. Overall, a great and very affordable place, and right in downtown Beverly. I recommend their Thai Iced Coffee, they make it with Dunkin Donuts coffee, and its delicious!

Big portions, but quality could be better. Chicken was tough and dry. Tom Yum soup was watery and didn't have much in it beyond broth. I love Thai food and was disappointed. Kids loved watching the fish tank, though.

This place is great. The decor is vibrant but not over the top. The waitresses are quiet, but nice and very efficient. They have reasonably priced, tasty food that comes out so quick! I love their pad thai and recently just tried the crystal pad thai (clear noodles). The boyfriend always gets the drunken chicken. I'm definitely going to have to try noodles on the beach next time I go!

I just moved to Beverly, so I'm Yelping the places I've tried as I try them. I've eaten from Siam Delight twice now, once as takeaway and once in the restaurant. I don't know why, but I don't remember the takeaway - I think it was pad thai. It's hard to make a pad thai that I don't enjoy, and Siam Delight is no exception. I ordered it again when I ate there recently and they leave out the fish sauce for vegetarians! I thought this was a great touch. I like everything about this restaurant - the service was quick and friendly, the lighting is great, everything is spotlessly clean. I don't really understand why we were the only couple there at 9.45 on a Saturday night, but maybe that's because the kitchen closes at 10. If you go, I heartily recommend the vegetable tempura. The batter is perfect - not too heavy - and the vegetables are crisp and yummy. This is an outstanding appetizer and good enough to actually stand on its own as an entree if I wasn't already set on the pad thai. I know other reviewers here have said that Siam Delight doesn't compare with other Thai spots in Boston, but sometimes I don't want to go to Boston to eat; sometimes I just want to take a five minute walk up the road and get me some noodle.

I have never been inside, I've always gotten delivery. They deliver to Beverly & Wenham. The food is fresh and flavorful. I'm partial to the drunken chicken. It's inexpensive for lunch, and moderately priced for dinner. I do have an addition to make to this review. I ordered the drunken chicken over the weekend, got it delivered, and I must say, there was absolutely no flavor to it. I've always had good experiences here before, but this time it wasn't good. The tempura was fine, and my sister liked her pad thai, but the drunken chicken wasn't working. ****1/18/2008**** Another addition: Delivery took an hour and a half on a Friday afternoon. Not only do they charge $4 for delivery, they take forever. Do not get delivery here. If there was another Thai place close to my work, I would go there, but there isn't, so I am stuck. And they were not friendly when we called back. Then, they just stopped answering the phone. I repeat, DO NOT get delivery from here. I will not be getting delivery again, and will limit how much I go here. Outrageous.

The only Thai food in this small town. I'm so happy to eat some yummy Thai food. The decor was so invite and warming. I order Noodle on the Beach AKA (Drunken Noodle for Thai peeps). My friend ordered the same dish every time he was there....Yellow Chicken curry!! and yes it was so yummy.

I enjoy myself here - I am partial to Noodle on the Beach (where do they get these names?) and chicken Satay. The veggies are never overcooked, and everything is tasty. We usually get take out - but when I've had sit down service it has been fine. Sometimes the service is a little odd. . .like three different people will bring various parts of your meal and you'll never see any of them again - and you'll have to flag down a 4th to get your tab. It's busy and local and enjoyable. . .a favorite standby for me.

My partner-in-crime recently moved to a new location that puts him right across the street from Siam Delight. We are both lovers of Thai cuisine, so this is one of the first places we've checked out. We were big fans of Thai Parima in Dracut, but due to his new location, that place is no longer practical to trek to. Siam Delight lived up to Thai Parima pretty well on our first visit. It is very clean, and new looking inside. The art on the walls ranges from classic, recognizable works of art to a model of a motorcycle. It's a bit weird, but the place still looks nice inside. They might consider closing off the kitchen though. They've worked very hard to create a nice atmosphere, and having the kitchen wide open detracts from it. Our server was pleasant, if not very talkative, and the service was very quick. We started with the Thai rolls, which were your run of the mill crispy rolls with veggies and chicken inside. What set them apart from other competitors was a delicious, semi-thick pineapple sauce that was for dipping. I'll always take any excuse to eat pineapple, so it was a hit with me. On my first visit, I felt that I had to judge them by their Pad Thai and it was pretty good. What made Thai Parima's better, was their crispy chicken. I think if Siam Delight's chicken had been crispy, it would have been just as good. The lunch prices were fabulous. We both got out for less than $10. You can't beat that. We'll be back, and I look forward to sampling other goodies from the menu.

i think for most Gordon Conwell community this place is a must. Pad Thai is great. Oriental Beef is great. Spicy Squid is great. top three things i get all the time. the soup, Thom Yum is not so great. Mediocre. there is one lady whose service leaves much to be desired(for example, if we ask for things she would sometimes say no- like extra rice or water) However, I think she left or got fired because I don't see her much anymore. my baby loves the crispy duck. too soy saucy for me, but she is a saucy one. hehe.

Great food and a cool atmosphere. My girlfriend used to go all the time and now has gotten my hooked. There is not a lot of thai restaurants in the area but if there was I would come back here time and time again

Really good food and surprisingly busy for Cabot St, Beverly. Casually trendy without pretense. Standard fare but freshly done and tasty. A good choice when you're in the mood for Thai and in the local area.

I love Siam. Please don't let the location of this delicious Thai restaurant keep you away. It's clean and simple inside, and the food that comes out of that open kitchen truly is a Siam Delight. I highly recommend the pataya noodle, Noodles on the beach, panang curry, and also the golden triangles and veggie tempura appetizers. it's cheap too!

Love this place!!! Had lunch here with three friends recently. I ordered the pad thai, it was very tasty! We ordered vegetable rolls and wontons as table apps and they also were very good and much to my happiness not greasy at all!!! The service was fantastic and I really loved the cool vibe of the resturaunt. If you are in the area and enjoy good thai food-don't miss this gem!

The best Pad See You of all time. Absolutely amazing. Spotlessly clean interior, enormous and expansive menu, prompt service. Food served piping hot and fresh. No overcooked vegetables here. Only problem- their Thai rolls were too dry and thick. I'm partial to those at Spice & Rice in Cambridge. But I will be back again! Come and bring a group- delicious cheap eats.

This is one of our favorite spots in Beverly! Since moving here a little over a year ago, Siam Delight has easily become one of our staples for chilly days (their soups are amazing!) and entertaining friends and family. Take out is fast and dining is fantastic. Anything with curry, pad thai and thai rolls are favorites!

I'm not a pad thai lover, but I can eat theirs. My friends rave about their pad thai. Very good thai food all around. I particularly enjoy getting take out and walking over to the beach to eat it. It's just a short walk away and totally worth it.

The food at this place is great, the prices are a little high..but overall well worth for what you get! The pad thai is my favorite!

Siam Delight is a Hidden Gem! My husband and I discovered this place years ago after we moved to Beverly and we've been regulars ever since. Let me start by saying that the staff does an excellent job and they are very attentive. Waitresses, Anoma and Krisna are friendly and courteous and are an asset to this restaurant. Fresh water with a touch of lemon is always offered and replenished without asking. The cooks prepare delicious meals to your taste. We appreciate being greeted with smiling faces every time. I should also add that our business/patronage is always appreciated at Siam Delight - something most restaurants don't emphasize enough...especially during these tough economic times. The restaurant is easy to find and is set on a main street with additional parking lot to its right. While this isn't a large restaurant it is comfortable and the interior is always clean. You are made to feel at ease in a nice environment thanks to the calm nature of the staff and breathtaking scenic pictures from around the world which display on the wall HDTV and easy listening Thai music adds to the welcoming ambiance. Something we appreciate since we prefer to enjoy our meals in peace and not listening to/watching sports or news like some other restaurants display. Truly a thoughtful approach and gesture on behalf of their smart business owner. The kitchen and bathrooms are very clean. The food is of high quality, well prepared always to our specifications and absolutely delicious. Our personal favorites are the Shrimp in the Blanket appetizers/Thai and Veggie Rolls, Silver Veggie Soup, Home Style Duck (extra crispy 2 stars), Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice/ Country Fried Rice (but it's all good) They have a extensive menu selection to satisfy even the kids who may just want chicken wings - get the Bangkok Wings appetizer. I also love the fact that they offer soda from a can because it is the only way I will drink it in a restaurant. Overall; great food, great service, very affordable and reasonable prices and they deliver! We are self-proclaimed picky "Foodies" and we give Siam Delight 5 stars - but they deserve 10!

I haven't had enough Thai food to have opinion as to how this place rates among other Thai food restaurants, however the food I had today was delicious. Yellow curry shrimp with a side order of Thai rolls. Friggin' delicious. I've been trying to save money (and calories) by bringing my lunch to work and this place isn't going to help. I called in my order for pickup and it was ready when I got there and the person on the counter was quick and polite. They had parking which is rare on Cabot St. It looked like a nice place to sit down and have a few drinks.

yummy, yummy, yummy. This is a hidden gem! The wine prices are low, all the food I've ever had has been wonderful (at least 8 different dishes). They have the best Tom Yum soup ever and the yellow curry is perfect. The service could be improved but it is a great value for your money!

If you enjoy beef and spicy, try the Spicy Beef Platter, truly spicy and the mushrooms scattered about in the dish are a treat. Hope that they bring back the soft shell crab option, great pairing with the Massaman curry.

I am having a love affair with Siam Delight. I love this place and living practically across the street has made it very easy for us to have regular Thai trysts--in my first month living in Beverly, I think ordered takeout here five or six times. The food here is top notch and is usually ready for pickup just minutes after I call in an order. So far my favorites are the Noodles on the Beach (pretty similar to drunken noodles at other restaurants) and the red curry. The prices are decent and the portions on most entrees are large enough to leave you with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. This place has very quickly become my go-to for those lazy Friday nights when I don't feel like cooking, or those lazy Tuesday nights when I don't feel like doing my grocery shopping, or those forgetful Wednesdays when I forget that I was too lazy to do my shopping on Tuesday and hence, have no food in the house...you get my point.

Great food at a great price. Atmosphere is nice, bright and clean. The food is crisp with good taste. Recommended for lunch or dinner. As with most Thai restaurants, the wine list is not great. But the curry, the pad thai and other dishes are excellent and reasonable. A group of four can eat dinner and have a drink each for under $70.

On a bad day they're still my favorite Thai food. At their best, I can't imagine food tasting better than this. I have gone there literally hundreds of times over the last decade. I was stunned by the existence of any 1 or 2 star reviews at all. Out of the 300+ (and that's being conservative) times I've eaten there, I've been disappointed few enough times to count on one hand. That's a damn good average. I've always found their service to be amazing as well as the food. Granted I went for lunch most of the time and can't speak with as much certainty about dinner, but I have found the food is usually ready in 10 minutes or less. Here is a list of my recommendations: Sweet and Spicy Duck Duck Pad Cha Night Magic Drunken Chicken Red Snapper Fresh Chili Pad Thai Choo Chi, Duck or Salmon Spicy Squid Thai Rolls Bangkok Wings Tom Yum Soup

OK food. Worst service. They don't even deserve one star. The skinny old lady w/ glasses there has a serious mental problem. If you go there and meet her, ask for another server. Trust me. She will make your day a worst nightmare. All we wanted was spoons and she began to preach a long sermon in front of us. OMG!! Won't go ever again. Never ever ever again.

I've lived in 4 states and traveled all over the U.S. I always seek out Thai when I travel because it's my favorite. I've even had it in England and Canada. This is still the best Thai food I have ever had by far. Everything is amazing!

Went to Siams last night with my GF and her friends. Never been to a Thai restaurant before! It was a nice place that seemed to do a lot of takeout. I had to order the Thai beer. Wasn't a fan probably. The food was good though everyone liked there meals. Fresh ingredients lots of vegetables and rice. prices were pretty good. One criticism was the server. She seemed to be in a bad mood. Like she didn't want us there. Maybe just a bad day. Everyone gets those.

I have been going here since they opened once or twice a week and I can't say I ever had a bad meal or experienced rude staff the owners are so friendly and the staff are great they go out of their way to make sure you have a great meal I tell them what I like in my pad tie or stir fry and they make it the way I like it I think I've tried everything on the menu over the year's they have been in business I can't say a bad thing about this restaurant one of my favorites I would give it 10 star's if I could you have to try this place excellent food and always fresh

Never, ever again. I hate to slam a local restaurant, because I'm a huge fan of my hometown and I love to keep it in the neighborhood, but this place is just awful. Came on a Friday night for a dinner with a friend of mine who loves all things Asian (Andrew consider yourself called out). I was trying to eat SOMEWHAT healthy, so I passed on an adult beverage and had water. Let me back up a bit. I came in at 9:30pm -- place was totally empty. I sort of stalled by the front door, unsure of whether to seat myself or wait to be seated. After a few minutes I wandered over to the dining room area and the server -- who was sitting at a table, on her phone or reading or something -- said "how many?" to which I replied "two". She said, "ONE?!" and I held up two fingers. She waved me to the table that I was already near, so I sat down. Not the best first impression. Back to the meal: I ordered the garden salad, which comes with a peanut dressing. The least eventful salad I've ever had. A chunk of lettuce lopped off the head (I like a wedge, but that wasn't it), with sad, pre-cut tomatoes and a sprinkle of carrots. The dressing was served HOT. HOT! HOT dressing on my salad. WTF? It wasn't very good to boot. Then I ordered the "vegetable gyoza", and my friend ordered some kind of noodle dish. I also got a diet coke -- served in a can, on the table, for $1.50. Both meals came out SO hot they burned our mouths. The soy sauce was watery and tasteless, and my gyoza was inedible. The flavor was just gross. I had one and left the rest. When the waitress came to get our plates, rather than ask how the food was, or if everything was okay, she asked if I wanted to wrap up my dinner. I found that to be a bit presumptuous given that I ate 1/10th of it and didn't look pleased. The waitress was bored throughout the meal and literally could not be bothered to even try to give good service. When I ordered the gyoza, she said "I don't know if we have that hold on" and called into the kitchen, where the other woman called into the back, and then called back and then phone tagged back to our waitress who told me "ya, we have it". Never offered to refill our glasses, and I had to request our appetizer plates be removed when the dinner plates came. Service, food, and overall experience not good. Won't be back.

We've been coming here for years. Best Thai food on the North Shore and we've tried most of them. If you enjoy Thai food and live in the area, this is the place to go.

Great Thai food! And who doesn't love great Thai food? My personal favorite is the chicken gaprow. I ask for it on the milder side and it is just as spicy as I can handle (one of the spiciest dishes). The flavors in all the dishes are really great and powerful. My only small complaint is the service, especially when I'm picking up. I guess they are just super busy. Often I call a few times- no answer- so I just go in to place my order. A little annoying.

We thought we would try something new tonight. We walked in to a somewhat confusing entry and one of the diners said to wait there to be seated. After a really long time, we were finally seated. And to answer your question, no it wasn't busy. There were plenty of open tables. So, we were finally seated only to be ignored some more. After many more minutes, we knew that it was not going to be a good experience so we left. I don't think anyone noticed. We briefly considered phoning in our order from the table. It did look like take out has a priority over dining in.

First it hard to find a parking spot. I ordered the home style duck, the duck so soggy and the Tom yum fired rice it was nasty. Never come back to this place again. ...

While visiting my daughter on the North Shore she suggested we eat Thai. I was a little skeptical based on the location, but this was some of the best Thai food I have ever had! The portions are large and very flavorful. The hot & spicy shrimp soup was delicious, the pad thai had a light sweetness, and the yellow curry was quite potent, but so good. The service is good, and very authentic. They also have a variety of Thai tea with or without boba.

Extremely bad service and the waitresses are unprofessional. We ordered a take out which we were told it would be ready in 35 minutes. we were there after 40 mins and they have not even cooked my order yet! We ended up waiting for over an hour for our take out food. They could have told us it would take longee when we arrived but instead they took our credit card to charge and left us waiting. Got no "sorry for waiting". Unbelievable.

i so wanted to enjoy... but it did not taste like thai to me, and to the girl, it was 'ah ok' the taste was bland, and it felt like typical chinese food instead........they do have a lot of parking available(that's a positive)

I met my cousin for lunch this week at Siam Delight, because we happened to both be in the area, and she was in the mood for Thai. There was no wait since we arrived fifteen minutes after they opened, and from start to finish, our meal was delightful. We didn't order wine or beer, but we did look at the menu for fun, and everything was SO CHEAP! $3-$4 for wine and beer? Holy Moses. We ordered Shrimp in a Blanket for an appetizer, and it was great. We weren't expecting them to be deep fried, but no one had to twist our arms to finish the five of them. Loved the Sweet Chili sauce. For lunch, we shared the Noodles on the Beach, which was amazing. The wide rice noodles were cooked perfectly and there were a ton of veggies, which I loved. It was spicy and tasted great. I would definitely order that again. The server was forthcoming with lemon water, and while the decor didn't have an Asian flair, the music playing was more authentic, which I always appreciate. The storefront leaves something to be desired, but it was comfortable inside, and the lunch cost $16.00. Done and done.

Apps we tried were ok, though I probably won't get them again- tempura veggies and chicken wings. The pad thai and massaman curry we ordered were very good and the portions are large!

We went to Siam Delight for dinner last night and our dinners, once they arrived, were delicous! We started with the Thai Rolls, they were crispy and tasty, and had the grilled shrimp with steamed veggies/tamarind sauce and cashew nut chicken. While waiting for our dinners you could not help but notice how many others were also waiting. Some folks waiting for takeout hung around for 45 minutes! I guess the long waits are typical on weekend nights at Siam Delight so be prepared or go another time. The next time I go will be for lunch or a week night treat.

I've never had a bad meal here. Lunch is incredibly generous portioning for very reasonable cost. They even have good chicken wings. Love their curries.... Lots of veg. Parking is limited, but you can park down any side street and do ok.
