Most convenient pizza & sub shop near my apartment so I come here occasionally. They are known for buffalo chicken pizza - slices are usually pretty good. Sometimes they have been sitting there for awhile but I am always satisfied. Full pizzas are probably better because they are fresh. Great place for late night. Subs are very average. The food in general is nothing special but sometimes the convenience trumps. Staff is tolerable from my experience and have had no issues. I would like to give 2.5 stars but will round up to 3.

Classic New York Pizza. Good service. Good prices. I came in, got a slice, and left. Definitely not the best pizza, but A+ for convenience of location, price, and hours. I would for sure get a slice again, but probably wouldn't order a whole pizza from here. It was just good enough to enjoy as a slice.

Hubby's band was playing in Allston, so we went to Inbound to re-live my early 20's, when I lived up the street on Kelton Street back in 2004. Inbound pizza was my go-to when I have had enough of drinking and dancing at Tonic (now Joshua Tree) and I crave a gigantic slice of buffalo chicken pizza. Fast forward to 10 years later... I still love love love Inbound's buff chick pizza. I ordered one piece, shoved it down and wish I had ordered another one. It is still full of college crowds in the small dining area. The only difference is, in 2004 people talked to each other, and now people are all texting or playing on their phones. Maybe next time I will order a whole pie and devour it after a drunken night in Allston.

One of the only good things about this place is the amazing woman that works at the counter late a night (because she is the most friendly and extremely accommodating) and the fact that they're slices are so damn cheap. Other than that, service here is subpar. I stood at the counter the other day for a few minutes, only to peek behind and find both the guys working texting on their phones. Then when I politely said excuse me, they looked at me like I was inconveniencing them. Should have just left, but I was hungry after work. Pizza is good enough to come back to at least.

I used to like their pizzas and late night service. But today, I ordered Chicken Shish Kebab! The quantity was horribly small, taste mediocre at best, salad was apparently 10 days old, some rice in the dish were straight out of rice cooker and french fries were the worst I have ever had. Overall cost was one small plate was 14$. I instantly felt robbed, not that I care about 14$; but because the I felt the money was down the worst drain. Except pizzas that can be a quick option, I would highly recommend not to try other items, especially Chicken Shish kabab. 'Zero' bang for your buck.

This place is ok. I got an Italian sub but the first order was done wrong because of communication problems at the register. The girl's English was poor. When she read the payment amount she said it was 31 dollars! Yikes... she meant 13... I had ordered an Italian with Tomatoes and somehow she thought I said Mayonnaise? Which Isn't a big deal but when the sub was brought back to exchange for the right order she did start to argue about it that I indeed said Mayo, which I never would because im allergic to Mayo. We did get our second sub and it was good. Not sure why you would argue with the customer because of your own English incompetence? There are many other places in the area so don't be so snappy. I may try here again one day but miscommunication is a headache when you just want to get something quickly. Also it did take around 15 minutes to make one sub.

This place committed credit card fraud against me and refuses to pay the difference. Do not go. If you need another reason, their food sucks. Typically if getting a slice they kind of warm up a slice that has been sitting out all day. Even fresh pies are mediocre at best. Sandwiches and fries are plain and tasteless. They are rude and the restaurant is dirty. This place needs to be shut down. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

  • Nick G.

Good food, service is sometimes not so good. Most of the time I'm satisfied and I work next door so I'm always running in to pick up food!

I live right by here, and decided to check it out. Full disclosure, I'm originally a New Yorker...so we take bagels/pizzas seriously. So here goes. Location's pretty excellent. It's right on the corner of Comm and Harvard, with a lot of foot traffic. Decor: Nothing fancy. A few small tables. Food: Pizza's pretty good. Nothing really special, but if you're looking for a quick slice for cheap, then it's the place for you. They're usually pretty slow when you call ahead for a whole pie or order for delivery, so keep that in mind. They messed up an order twice, but they fixed it right away and remade my pizza, so no real problems there. Their wings are terrible. They taste like they're microwaveable wings. Awful. Haven't tried the doner kebabs yet, so we'll see. Service: They're not too big on customer service, which isn't something that I really look for in a pizza place. As long as they're not overly rude or put hypodermic needles in my food, I don't really care. Nothing special. They're not overly friendly, they're just..."here's the food, see ya." Overall: Pretty decent pizza place. I wish they just focused on pizzas and didn't go everywhere else with the wings, doner kebabs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, paninis, subs, etc. I'll probably go here again if I want a slice, but mostly due to the convenience and the price.

It took me 3 phone calls to get a pizza when I was standing literally outside their door. It was ridiculous, and I will not be ordering from here again thank you very much,

  • Matt J.

I'm a fan of this place. I consider myself to be pretty picky about my pizza, but Inbound makes a very good one. Lots of toppings and cheese, and served piping hot.

Inbound Pizza will be the death of me one day because I eat too much of it too often. Ah! Can I mention that I'm a born and bred New Yorker, and this pizza lives up to a New York slice? Yeah, for realz. My roommate and I have come here many a time, whether it be for a quick slice, a full pie, or some food to satiate around drunk munchies. Most of the time they don't disappoint, and their pizza is pretty consistent. When it's good, it's good; when it's an off night, it can be really off. This doesn't happen often, but there have been nights when the pizza was just awful. I don't know if it was because someone else was cooking it or they were rushing, but it could be terrible on these types of unfortunate nights. Rare those nights are, though! They also take Level Up, which is awesome. I try to use it as often as I can, and I think I get the most mileage with that at Inbound. If you're looking for a quick bite or a whole pie for a movie night in your apartment, I would bank on Inbound being the place to go!

Polite servers. Good pizza. Nice prices.

  • Jordan L.

Inbound is always the most accommodating establishment you can wander into once it gets to be nighttime! Selena, one of the employees, is a great person and always finds a way to help the customer get what they want. She's the real reason this is a 5-star establishment!

    (5)
  • Adam H.

I live nearby and thought I'd grab a slice. The pizza they gave me wasn't really heated up so it was only slightly warm and it was expensive! Two slices and a drink will set you back 9 dollars, which seems absurd.

    (2)
  • Jackie M.

Love it perfect late night or day time lunch food - many offerings and great service. Everything eggplant here is wonderful!

    (5)
  • Dan W.

Their grill chicken dinner is terrible and is a rip-off...

  • Charlie M.

We ordered a pizza late at night for delivery and paid by card. We waited for an hour and no one came. When we tried calling the restaurant, they had already closed. After going to bed hungry, we went in personally to talk with them. The guy taking the order blamed their computer for getting the wrong phone number, but when he showed us how the machine worked, it printed our phone number out correctly. If they did actually come, they didn't even bother to ring our doorbell. Order from literally anywhere else instead, even a shitty pizza is better than no pizza.

  • C L.

Aw, this was my drunk-food spot for the few years I lived in Allston. Pretty sure all I ever got were cheese slices and buffalo chicken slices... it is what it is. Definitely not bad at all. The workers were usually friendly as well.

    (4)
  • Andrew H.

Wish Yelp had the zero star option. This "pizza" was inexplicably awful. It's like they ordered domino's and then nuked it, then left it outside for an hour. Oh, then they had the most stoned dude deliver it. Do you need to hear more? I feel bad that they tried to ruin Domino's good name with this abomination of a pizza pie. I once put a tombstone in the oven and fell asleep, I woke up 10 hours later and took it out... And it was still better than this crap. Shame on you

    (1)
  • Ross R.

Inbound took over Bravo as my go-to for cheap, solid pizza. Reason: they are always consistent. There have been several occasions when my Bravo pizza has been hastily and sloppily put together. This saddens me, because the last thing I want to witness is a beautiful, sweet pie destroyed by carelessness. Pizza is a delicate flower, that needs to be prepared sensually. Become one with the pizza. Anyways, Inbound is good. Slices are easily foldable, but never weak enough that you can't hold a slice with one hand, while balancing a spinning plate on a stick with the other. They put the perfect amount of toppings on each time to ensure you won't be left with a mess of meats and veggies all over you. And: their Buffalo Chicken pizza is a drunken munchies savior. Support your local pizza craving. Order now!

  • Subin D.

Burger was nice and grilled chickrn sandwich was fresh love the food , fries and onion rings crisp and fresh , have to wait a like 15 min to get ur food though ...

  • Mariam A.

No idea why anyone would give this place a bad review! It's so delicious and quick! This pizza tastes like a perfected version of your mom's homemade pizza with a NYC twist. The sauce, crust, everything tastes soooo yummy and the ingredients look/taste fresh! Added bonus that you can get whole wheat crust aaaaand it still tastes awesome. I digress, eat this pizza. It's reasonably priced, quick, delicious, fresh... Need I go on???

  • Daniel C.

I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Calzone on Foodler for ~$14.20. What I received was flat like a pizza and cut into tiny pieces. These pieces were filled with minced chicken with barely any cheese. Of course I didn't expect gourmet but the amount received was greatly in-proportionate to amount paid. Additional Offenses: Paid .50 for ranch which I did not receive. Different prices on Foodler than in store. Will not return.

    (1)
  • Rebekah H.

Well, the food wasn't bad but the delivery was 20 minutes late and cold. My BLT didn't have any mayo, so it was literally a dry sub. slightly disappointed.

    (3)
  • Augustina M.

Pizza is good, especially considering some of the crazy stuff around. I actually thought this place was relatively more expensive. I could get more for my $ at a Domino's or Papa John's. Pepperoni pizza is usually what I get, either by the slice or the whole pie and it's decent here, nothing special just standard good pizza.

    (3)
  • Sean P.

Their subs and sandwiches are better than their pizza. I enjoy the buffalo chicken pizza. They have a good deal where you can get two slices of cheese and a can of soda for like $5.50. Always friendly service.

    (3)
  • C. R. M.

Apologies for this moral lesson: the pizza was good, but the service was worse than mediocre. Short story: I'd called in advance, they said 15 minutes, i came in 15 minutes, they said it would be out of the oven in 5, 10 minutes later they told me they hadn't put it in the oven yet! And then they were rude about it. Moral: there are lots of good pizza places around; why not give your money to a pizza place that is friendly and recognizes that treating customers well really matters?! Check Yelp for other pizza recommendations; I like Ozzie's (just a few blocks from Inbound), but it is a kind of grungy one-man operation, but friendly, and the pizza is often great.

  • Evan R.

The previous reviews have spelled Inbound Pizza out pretty clearly. They are in a very convenient location and are open pretty late, both of which bring them tons of business. So.... why should they bother to strive for superior quality? They honestly don't need to, so they don't really bother. I ordered here quite a few times when living in Allston because my roommates preferred it. They're okay... that's about as much credit as I'm willing to give them. Deliver times are inconsistent. Pizza is inconsistent.... typical thin, floppy Boston pizza. I'll give them 3 stars because they're a great late night option and they're better than Natlie's... but during the daytime hours you are foolish for not going to Sabatino's or Upper Crust.

One Saturday night recently I found myself in the mood for some quick and dirty pizza. And that's exactly what I got from Inbound. I ordered a medium Hawaiian pie through Foodler and it arrived in about 30 minutes, which is pretty fast for delivery in this area. The delivery guy was super-nice, too. As for the pizza itself, it was nice and hot, the sauce was tasty, and the crust had decent flavor and chewiness. But there wasn't enough cheese or pineapple to balance the HEAPS of ham and bacon piled on that bad boy. Now, trust me, I love heaps of good ham and good bacon -- but the operative word is "good." This was super-salty and overpowered basically everything else about the pizza. It was still edible, but definitely a bit of a letdown. If I order from Inbound again, it'll definitely be something with less potentially salted ingredients on top.

  • Staci M.

I know, I'm not a Bostonian. As such, I do not adhere to the local standards of pizza judging. But, I like Inbound. We always call in our orders, usually getting doners, chicken pizza or margarita pizza. The order is ready within 15 minutes and the guys who work here are consistently friendly and efficient. They can be oddly quiet and subdued (for lack of better word, yaddamean?) but they get our order right and it is warm and tasty. Only once we had a bad experience. We learned they do not make whole wheat pizza crust very well. Avoid it. Ughhh. Ughhh again. Doners are delicious as well, fresh ingredients and reminiscent of European street food. A great place for a quick, cheap and easy dinner.

  • Corey G.

Admittedly, the pizza is here is borderline 3 stars. It's cheap, decent, and quick to please, sorta like me. The reason it's getting 4 stars is because it's always open, which is a goddamn rarity in Boston. After a night out in Allston, it's my go to spot to grab a slice (or two, or three). Definitely check it out if you're in the area late at night. Not sure how apt I'd be to go on the reg.

    (4)
  • Indhira B.

By far the worst and most overpriced slice of pizza I have ever had. Don't bother even trying it for yourself. It's super thin with a sprinkle of sauce and cheese. Their curly fries and plain chicken wings are good.(the reason why I even gave a star) But also extremely overpriced. Save your money!!

    (1)
  • Kyle C.

If you can get Simon to help you there will be no problems. He is great. Besides him everyone there is useless and couldn't be more miserable. Good luck ordering over the phone I can guarantee there will be a communication breakdown. Oh and unless the Pizza by the slice is right out of the oven you can skip it. Its terrible!!!

    (2)
  • Julie J.

I ordered a "calzone" from here the other night and was greatly disappointed. I read other reviews and wasn't expecting awesome anything, but it was basically just a flat pita pocket with a sprinkle of cheese and some jenky chicken. Not only was it crappy, but it took around 1.5 for them to deliver. Perhaps it was because of the weather, but at that point it was only a dusting of snow and when the delviery guy got to my door he laughed when I asked if there was any chance that my calzone was still hot (when I still thought there was a chance that it would look/taste like a calzone)

    (1)
  • Meagan D.

The pizza was actually decent, the delivery.... not so much. I answered the door and the delivery man dropped my whole order at my feet. Not sure what I did to piss him off, but my soda can was dented all over, the cheese was coming off the pizza and the froyo was spilling out of the bag. Completely unprofessional.

  • Jen S.

I take it back- maybe they changed some things, but I definitely enjoy their pizza more than Regina's now! (sorry Regina!). Now I'm living in Brighton- I miss being so close! Hmm maybe after living in Allston, my taste buds standards have gone down. Oh well- it's still good and cheap. I don't care what anybody says!!

  • donald s.

WOW..I had stuck at work today and needed something to eat quickly. big big mistake...first was to go to this place. second was even after seeing it still getting something.. its dirty.. lifeless... i got a slice of the Buffalo pizza to go. it was like a process chicken pizza that they drizzle on the blue cheese .. not sure it it was just this one slice as i was in and out.. rest assured ouch.. never again.. dirty ...lifeless and bad food period.. stay away!!!

    (1)
  • Caitlin G.

Pizza -- great in a pinch. Type of place you do for lunch or to-go. Friendly staff who are really accommodating and pleasant!

    (4)
  • John S.

Way over-priced. The sandwiches are pretty bad, watch out for the wraps (barf), and the pizza is ok. The Margherita pizza is probably the only 3 star item on the menu. I have eaten there a number of times only because it is really close to where I live. I have found much better places in the neighborhood. I wonder how these guys have any customers, how they manage to stay in business. Probably the drunks who stumble in from the bars and don't know any better.

    (2)
  • George M.

The owner and staff cannot be faulted for a lack of pride in their work; very friendly and will stand behind their product. With that said, I gave Inbound another shot at the behest of an Inbound faithful, and, while not nearly as bad as my first experience, I left unsatisfied. The buffalo chicken pizza was woefully undercooked, but had potential, and the Doner wrap was just not right. I would give the jalepeno poppers another go.

    (2)
  • Laura Z.

Pros: Inbound is almost always open, and the prices aren't atrocious. Cons: Literally everything else. The service is horrible and takes FOREVER if you get something besides a slice of pizza. All of the food is bland, and the buffalo chicken pizza is topped with rubbery chunks of chicken and weird blue cheese faux-sauce. The only times I have eaten here I've been drunk and on the way home from a bar. And even then I was grossed out and annoyed at the service.

    (2)
  • Mehgan C.

So I don't know how fair it is to rate this place when I keep getting the same thing over and over. But GAWDAMN do they make one helluva buffalo chicken pizza! I swear to go and I am not being cute or funny, but I could eat this all day long. Its horriblely addicting and I LOVE it!

    (5)
  • H T.

This pizza is scantily clad, with very little sauce and dried out, rubbery cheese. but it'll do if you are drunk and just want stomach filler, or if you are too rushed to wait for some real food.

    (2)
  • Kerry M.

Great calzones. Chicken parm is my favorite- that itself deserves 4 stars. Outdone by only Esperia in Brighton. Your typical local pizza shop.

    (3)
  • o a.

Inbound is good. I only go there for the buffalo Chicken pizza. It's possibly the best in Boston only to be rivaled by Bravo off Brighton Ave. Their delivery time is a little slow, and overall theyre a bit pricey but not bad by the slice.

    (4)
  • Haley W.

awesome, inexpensive, thin crust pizza. never had it delivered, but the pizza is always spot on at the restaurant. their cheese pizza is my favorite in boston!

    (5)
  • William K.

Got a chicken cesear wrap, which I thought would be a straight forward exercise. 30 minutes later I was still waiting. The place wasn't even busy. I can't say I have gone back to try the pizza but 40 minutes for a straight forward to go order seemed a little excessive. The wrap itself was fine, although nothing special. That saves it from getting a 1 star rating.

    (2)
  • K H.

This place's food is nasty. They don't keep the place clean enough for me to trust it, either! Natalie's down Comm Ave past the CVS is MUCH better!

    (1)
  • Emin T.

we ordered buffalo chicken and it was delicioussss!

    (5)
  • Debra L.

A few years ago my ex-boyfriend (who at the time was my current b/f) lived right above this place. Aside from the fact that I thought he was too old to be living in college-town and needed to grow up, I did like that his apt. smelled like pizza 24 hours a day. I ate far too much of this pizza back then. It wasn't the most memorable pizza I've ever had but I actually thought it was decent. I liked the frozen yogurt more though. I always thought the staff was pretty friendly and smiley - but maybe it's because I was well past my drunken fool days by then.

    (3)
  • Mike W.

You'd almost think after spending a long day working construction, driving three hours to Boston with only a PB&J sandwich in my stomach, anything would taste good. A N Y THING. False. The plain slice had tasteless cheese, no sauce and a halfway decent crust with good crisp. The buffalo chicken was a disaster and a half. I'm a huge fan of buffalo chicken pizza. Usually, a bad slice is still pretty okay because hey, you're eating buffalo chicken and pizza at once, and that's awesome. I could barely finish this slice. The sauce, barely reminiscent of Frank's Red Hot, was more like a paste. Chicken, dry. All this topped with a disgusting white cream masquerading as blue cheese. Barfaroni.

    (2)
  • Chelsea P.

Well...I've only gone here twice. First time got a turkey club panini - nothing to compliment but it wasn't terrible. Second time I went with the "famous" buffalo chicken pizza....now, I'm a NYer...so pizza in "my thing" here in Boston. I was incredibly impressed. Especially since I saw a bunch of good things about it but also a bunch of bad..... the buffalo chicken part wasn't anything special but the pizza itself was pretty darn good. I'll be trying it again, hopefully I won't have to change this review. :)

    (4)
  • Dave R.

Inbound: good enough for the money. It's cheap, it's pretty tasty. It's not amazing, and the pizza takes a while to cook, and it's hotter than balls inside no matter what temperature it is outside, but if you're looking for pizza and you need it cheap, Inbound will definitely do the trick. I could use a little more cheese on my typical pie, and they get cold really fast (never really figured out why that was....), but the pepperoni is pretty good and the sausage is solid. The subs here are mediocre at best - don't waste the money on them, stick with the pizza. Going to Inbound is like finding $5 in your pocket that you didn't know was there - it's exciting because you didn't have to work for it, but it's not going to change your universe or anything.

    (3)
  • Samantha M.

I feel bad writing bad reviews...but ehh. I like it here after club soda and vodka. I hate it here before club soda/vodka Late night slices are decent and the buff chick ones especially aren't bad. But who know, I could probably be fed cardboard in that state and consider it a delicacy. The slice I tried during the day time wasn't good. Reheated until it was way too hot to eat for at least 15 minutes..(which isn't the worst complaint I guess) but then after cooling down... Blech. And I'm not picky about pizza for sure. Also tried a BBQ chicken calzone here. Again, not good. Way to thin, crust was too hard.. yuck.

    (2)
  • Monique S.

Hey, let's face it. This isn't a gourmet pizza parlor. Who would expect that anyway? If you have the munchies and just want a quick snack, this is the place to go. Had a night out and want food? Go here. The buffalo chicken pizza is decent. The staff is generally cool. Although, the last time I went, the dude let my pizza touch the bare counter when I asked for parmesan. That kind of grossed me out.

    (2)
  • Lindsay E.

Oh Inbound, how I love you. This place is literally 1 minute from my house. It is very difficult to walk by after work when I am hungry and the smell makes me literally salivate. The workers are all super friendly and even when we don't go in, great us with a wave and a smile. My absolute favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza, great bought by the slice, even better ordered whole. The crust is thicker and it seems like they add more of the ingredients when you order a whole pie. The subs are pretty good. I recommend getting them toasted. Their new doner kabob is yummy, definitely get it on a roll-up and not the bun. All-in-all a great neighborhood joint with fairly reasonable prices and a lovely staff.

    (5)
  • Brad H.

I wish I could rate this place higher. They are usually pretty fast and the service is friendly. The doner wraps are really the only reason to come here. They are perfect when you just need some delicious, salty food scraped from a spinning pillar of meat served to you as fast as possible. Get them with everything on it. It's not as refined as something you'd get at Garlic & Lemons, but it's good fast food. I've had the pizza, it's not the best. Less greasy than some of the other cheapo pizza places in Allston but not what I would consider anything worth spending money on.

    (3)
  • Hubert H.

Got a couple of dried-up slices of pizza, and a drink for $8. Was in a rush. The sauce wasn't so flavorful, and the toppings were scant. Perhaps the freshly-made stuff is better? I like their convenience to a major intersection.

    (2)
  • David O.

Ordered at 11pm on Wednesday. That means no drunks are out so they are making the pizza like it counts. The crust was definitely made in-house, since it lacks the uniformity and grossness of other places (I've been reviewing Boston pizza places). It has that flour-covered texture on it, and pulls apart like chewy bread (don't get me wrong, it's delicious). If you've ever been to one of those tiny mom 'n pop pizza shops you'll recognize the taste. based on the other reviews, you have to order at the right time and day, or you'll probaby get reheated trash. 5 stars otherwise.

    (5)
  • L J.

got a buffalo chicken pizza... where's the chicken?? i think they might have put more bleu cheese on there than chicken. little, dice sized cubes of chicken did i mention not to get the buffalo chicken pizza? for the price, and speedy delivery this place was acceptable. two star quality with three star service and weekend hours. but for those who love pizza, i wouldn't give it a call unless i was drunk enough to consume without paying respect to the pie... which is usually how it goes.

I went here with my girlfriend when we first moved to Boston. We were starving, saw a cheapish looking pizza joint and decided "why not." Here is a short list of "why not", and why you should avoid this place. I saw they had a special, but the numbers on the whiteboard sign were nearly completely wiped off. With a look of disdain, and reminding me that the price was on the sign, he told me the answer. I ordered a sandwich, and my gf ordered a wrap. She and I waited in the dining area for 30 minutes, while other customers came and went, ordering dishes that were far more complex than ours. Most of the kitchen staff stood in the dining area watching TV or chatting with the other customers. Our food finally arrived and was at the very least, edible. As in, I could physically chew it, but in no way enjoy it. The sandwich was beyond dry, condiments didn't help.It was tiny, and the bread tasted store bought. The wrap tasted like wet paper. To top it all off, the meal was NOT cheap at all.

The food here is just awesome!!!! Calzones are to die for.

  • valerie d.

If you eat here at noon, something's wrong with you. But at one a.m. you can either walk a mile for a Big Mac or you can eat a passable buffalo chicken sub here with fun drunk ambiance and watch people who are totally horny for each other order a shitload of food and know they're either gonna pass out too full on vodka and carbs or have some severe gas in thirty minutes. Either way, the girl in the leopard print dress and Aldo stilettos is getting way less laid than she thinks she is.

what can i say...I am a sucker for inbound. I dont think I have ever been there before 1 AM, but I love their pizza on my way home from the bars. Their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is a must with excellent ranch/bluecheese mixture lacing the pizza. The people arent the nicest, but when you want pizza, you get it.

I should preface this by saying that I went here sober and hadn't had much to eat that day. I found the pizza to be worse than average. Around here, there seems to be a pizza place on every corner with typical $2.50/$3.00 slices that will be exactly what you are looking for. My food seemed like it was not made with any love. Flavorless. Not to be deterred by one bad experience, I went back and had a decent pepperoni/sausage calzone and watched soccer (default for any dignified pizza place around here). I wouldn't go back unless I HAD to eat in the next 5 minutes. Save your stomach and go to Sabatino's if you're heading out or to Sicilias if you're heading in. Of course, this is all second to Crazy Dough's - what every pizza place has wet dreams about.

I found a drill bit in my salad. How does that even happen? Don't eat at Inbound Pizza.

After a long night of drinking, the margherita pizza is divine. Plus, it's so close to my apartment, the two second walk makes it even better.

You should probably just avoid this place. After a night of drinking with friends, I decided to stop by here and grab a slice before heading home. The staff didn't even put the pizza in the oven, just decided to hand me a cold slice and send me on my way. last time i will ever eat here.

  • Rebecca H.

All right, honestly. I've only been here after a night of some heavy(ish) drinking. So, I'm willing to admit the my opinion is somewhat skewed. With that being said... Nothing beats a slice of their Buffalo Chicken pizza at 130 in the morning. When you get *that* craving after stumbling out of Wonder Bar/Great Scott/Common Ground, it's a must. Seriously, though, if you ever ate/looked at it sober, it would probably make you hurl, recover, then hurl some more. But under the veil of drunkenness, it is the most delicious tasting-and-looking piece o' 'za ever. EVER. The guys working are always very friendly to my friends and I, and are gracious enough to entertain my drunken ass while I wait for my slice.

Horrible service, just horrible. I called and ordered my food and it came out way more expensive than advertised. They said, "Oh, you must have an old menu. We'll send you a new one with your order." No offer for a one-time discount or something. And in the end they didn't even give me a new menu! Also, I ordered their "Ace of Club" sandwich, which sounded good: chicken, guac, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, bacon, garlic. What I got was a travesty, soggy lettuce on a soggy burger bun with a tiny smear of industrial-grade powder+water guac and gristly chicken. The bacon was okay, but bacon is always okay. My friends were equally disappointed with their salads, which were okay except they were given tiny portions of dressing. I'm never ordering from here again, ever.

Our Saturday night drink-a-thon could only end one way....with pizza. My comrades and I had just returned to Carla's humble abode in Brighton, after a taxi cab ride (that I barely remember), and a night out consuming beers at Our House and The Avenue. Looking back, drinking half a bottle of Stoli Vanilla before we even left the house, may have been a tad foolish, enjoyable, but perhaps even a prerequisite to any evening at Avenue/Our House what with their so many various levels of donkitude. I digress, we conversed and decided a sausage pizza and mozz sticks needed to be delivered to our stomachs immediately. I loved that about our happy little get together, not a lot of girls are into sausage on pizza, they always want silly things like green peppers and onions. Carla dialed up InBound and placed our order, while we anticipated possibly never recieving it and looked at chodes on craigslist's "casual encounters". This has become a habit. We were told it would take 45 mins, and suprisingly, it arrived within what seemed to be 20, altho time flies when you're scrutinizing scumbags cheating on their wives on the internet. Pizza arrived, and was greasy delicious and moderately priced if I remember correctly. Well worth plugging this little number into my phone.

It's too bad that so many people had bad experiences with Inbound, because last Saturday, this place was my best friend. Granted, this was my first experience and I doubt that Inbound is all that consistent in quality, but it saved me from the hell of post-alcohol starvation. It was 2 am, and our options for nourishment were scant. Desperate times called for desperate measures. We called Inbound. Large sausage pizza and a small order of mozz sticks? Yes, please! We were told that the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour, which didn't surprise me all that much. It was Saturday night/Sunday morning, the bars were closed, and the drunks wanted their grease fix. Begrudgingly we settled in for the long wait and anticipated not getting our pizza. Lo and behold, the buzzer for the door rang about 15 minutes after placing the call. Awesome. We settled in for fat and grease and cheese galore. Our little late-night snack hit the spot and left me full and ready for sleep. Maybe I'll try them again and see if the quality holds up, or if it was an elusive one-time experience, never to be repeated.

Echoing the prior reviews: It's cheap, it's open late, and it's halfway decent as far as pizza goes. Not too greasy, and the guys who work there are nice enough. Just stick to either the pizza or the sandwiches. Sometimes, I get the feeling they're trying to do too much with the menu.

I just can't imagine worse pizza. Maybe if it had insects on it or something. I got a slice of the vegetable pizza. It was a somewhat large slice that somehow defied the laws of pizza by lacking crust, sauce, and cheese, all at the same time. The crust was okay, and I think the sauce was decent but I couldn't tell because there was so little of it. It took me a few bites to find any cheese. The "vegetable" part consisted of three pieces of uncooked green pepper and some olives. They popped it in the oven for less than 20 seconds, serving it to me lukewarm. My girlfriend and I actually started cracking up halfway through because it was so laughably terrible. Well, the guy at the counter was nice at least. I could probably make better pizza from a dumpster, blindfolded, and with both hands tied behind my back.

  • Iska B.

Awwww everyone is oh so negative about this place! Come on, what would you do without Inbound Pizza? Where would you go for your late night grease fix? I admit this pizza is not gourmet, not in the least bit. It's pretty greasy and not top quality but personally I think it's a pretty decent value. At least the place is honest. You know when you walk in that you're not going to be able to get a gorgonzola, pear, and walnut white pizza. You've got the standard toppings and the standard greasy pizza. Whatever. It's beats out the overpriced crap that Uno's serves next door. I think this place is still great for the starved and drunk despite what all the pizza snobs say.

    (3)
  • Alex B.

Well, they get a few stars because I actually LIKE the buffalo pizza (although I'd admit it looks like chunky barf on bread)... They LOOSE a few stars because the greasy guy there ALWAYS eye fucks any girl I'm with - to the point of akwardness... dude your a greasy pizza guy, let it go.

Prepare yourself for the worst service humanly possible. If the food made up for it, like the 'Soup Nazi' in Seinfeld I would be able to deal with it; but it's truly sub-par at best. Let's start with the greeting. I didn't get one... No hello, how are you, what can I get you... nothing. The guy quickly and rudely turned to me and said 'what?' in a very brazen manner. Whatever.. I can deal with that in this day and age... I ordered an Italian sub and he asked me what i wanted on it. I said onions and lettuce, and that I would like it toasted. However he took my order so quickly while he was looking at other things I had to make sure he heard me say toasted, so I repeated myself. (Note: it was not busy in there, this was about 5pm.) He snaps back 'I know!' So i notice the other guy making it and he was putting lettuce and onions on it... so i assumed he wasn't going to toast it, as they usually put those things on after. Again, I ask, 'toasted, right?' He snaps back again, 'yes, no problem, toasted.' So I turn away for a bit and come back to pick up my sub and pay and leave. I get in my car and notice the sub is cold! So much for the toasted! I also notice that it's missing the provolone cheese... So I go back in and tell the guy, quite angrily that it's not toasted... and it's missing the cheese. He looks befuddled and turns to another guy who snaps at me 'what's wrong??' I explain the situation to him and ask if he can put the cheese on it and toast it for me. I also mention the fact that I asked 3 times for it to be toasted. He angrily snaps back first with 'you never asked for it to be toasted!' Then he yells at me and says that i asked for onions and lettuce, and that I didn't say anything about cheese... Excuse me, but doesn't a freakin' Italian come with cheese? Isn't that a given? So at this point i'm just pissed off and I tell him that provolone cheese in an italian is a given. I shouldn't have had to mention it. He then yells back saying it was my fault..... Enough is enough, so I ask to speak to the manager. He yells back, 'I am the fucking manager!' Let's just say I never went back. I've heard similar experiences from some other people and I'm not at all surprised. Shit service, and shit food. It's too bad too, because I have lived a few blocks away for the last few years. There's much better pizza/sub shops in the area, with much better service.

  • Peter M.

Blah. This place reminds me of Allston way too much. Just straight up depressing. Only go to this place if you're in the middle of a snow storm AND don't want to spend more than 8 bucks on a dinner AND do not want to walk up or down harvard ave / cross comm ave AND your fridge is absolutely empty. Seriously, go to UNO right next door if you want pizza and just pay a few bucks more. If its late night and its the only place open, do you realllly need that pizza to begin with? The subs are also overly priced for what you get. I got the lightest "large" buffalo chicken sub I've ever had in my life. Weak!

    (2)
  • mandi m.

First - stay away from the pizza - especially if you choose one of those slices that's sitting in that warmer thing for hours. Other than that the subs are pretty good. They toast a warm sub and are generous with the fillings. The staff is really friendly and always greet me with a smile and conversation. Actually at this point they recognize my order over the phone and when I just drop in ask why I didn't call ahead. If you live in the neighborhood it's a good sub shop. There's plenty of other late night options that would do you better on a belly full of beer.

It's like when your a kid and you have to choke down an entire big bag of salt and vinegar chips before they start to finally taste good. One could say the same about Inbound Pizza. It's made by some kind of eastern euro-anians, but they're all pretty nice guys considering the shit they spend their weekends taking from drunk college tools and local trash. The pizza itself is about what you'd expect from anywhere that isnt Italian or Greek. Its got the cardboard-ish bottom, unamazing sauce, sufficient coating of cheese and oily residue. You'll find it has a very distinct taste if you eat frequently enough. It's fairly cheap- 5 bucks for two slices of cheese and a soda- they also have Vitamin Water and a couple kinds of bottled tea/juice. Some things to be aware of include: -The pizza they make if you order a whole pizza is of a different texture and quality than the pizza they sell by the slice -They have three basic types of pizzas they cook to sell by the slice. Buffalo chicken (bits of fried chicken in buffalo sauce with blue cheese dripped over it in a big spiral), Cheese, and Pepperoni. Anything else you see in that little heater is just a cheese pizza with stuff thrown on it after the fact. -They're open late, 2am late on weekend party nights. -If its packed with drunks, wait off to the right to make your order and then get the fuck out of the way by standing off to left or back so that others can order, tons of drunks will just stand there at the counter and piss off the otherwise cool staff. I've never eaten anything other than the pizza, although i've seen them bake some gigantic calzone's. I dont believe they have a bathroom although I live near by so I just run to my apartment to drain the vein instead of playing that shell game with paper towels where you try not to touch anything. And if your girlfriend (or boyfriend?) is into post party rear entry (not the hole God intended) all you have to do is hold off a couple of hours and it'll be pre-greased with the aforementioned oily residue- leading to the area insult- "your girlfriend's crotch smells Super 88 and her ass taste like Inbound Pizza."

  • Marissa C.

Try the buffalo chicken pizza - it will blow your mind. If you like Turkish food, there's also a Lahmajun Pizza that is ridiculously delicious and a Kofte calzone. If you like handmade wheat crust, high-quality ingredients and friendly Turkish service, you will want for nothing at Inbound Pizza. If you have been previously satisfied by Domino's or T. Anthony's cheap, tasteless pizza you should give Inbound a try.

This place has cleaned up since my move to Boston three years ago. I never was a fan of their pizza, but they have some super sandwiches now. The interior looks great, too!

I don't know, maybe I'm a pizza snob but the pizza from this place just downright sucks. Maybe it's because i'm from the NYC area (CT actually, which, for those who don't know, is close enough to NY, seriously) and there's no shortage of awesome pizza around there. I don't know. The crust was too chewy, the sauce was boring, they obviously used the cheapest cheese they could possibly find. The delivery guy was nice though and they came pretty quickly I guess. But yeah, probably not gonna go back there unless I'm really desperate, and for desperation, there's a Mc'D's right across the street.

Scenario: Allston at 2:00 am. Delightfully bubbly head from dancing and drinking all night and a rumbling belly looking for something delicious and familiar. This is where Inbound Pizza comes in. It's no secret why the lines are out the door and around the corner from midnight - 2:00 am Thursday - Sunday. People are drunk and people are hungry. For their part, the folks at Inbound make a pretty decent pizza --in fact, it's one of the better ones I've had around the Allston area. Where they lose me is the service. I'm all for the guy at the counter being friendly... I'm not ok with him telling me I have beautiful eyes while simultaneously staring at my chest and packing my "bonus slice".

My pick for late night pizza in the Boston area. Yummy cheese slices!!! Even after moving out of Allston, I still drive out of my way there, every now and then.

  • Joy W.

Awesome hangover food. Greasy pizza, yummy wraps and subs, decent wings and apps. I'm a big fan of the neopolitan pizza - fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and anchovies. DELISH. I've never been inside but have been getting delivery for ages. It can be a bit slow if you order at peak time - late night on the weekends. Don't expect anything spectacular, but if you're looking for cheap delivery, you won't be disappointed.

Ah Inbound Pizza how often I have been walking down the street and found that you were just there. So often you have been in the same place when I found that you were there. What a very off occurance. And I, being a hungry person, go in and munch on a slice. I remember the time that I ordered a steak tip sub. Why did you let me do that? You need to remind me that I am not visiting you for good food. I am just going in to put something into my stomach. I do enjoy your fries at times. The straight-Basic pizza place What's good-location and open late The slap-don't try anything tricky it's a bad idea.

  • Cozette T.

I love walking in here and grabbing a slice. They've got tasty, greasy, pizza for a decent price that's miles better than the usual cardboard a lot of cheap places have. They also recently started carrying doner-kebab. I love doner-kebab and was super excited about it. However, theirs is pretty much disgusting... I ended up throwing away half the sandwich. It's overly processed and hardly even looks like meat anymore. The meat also makes your breath stink to high heaven.

  • Liz B.

Pizza here is pretty normal to typical Allston pizzarias, its nothing special. I would give this place a 3 star if it were not for my last trip here. Last winter, I ate there around midnight- the slice was okay and I was enjoying the company of my friends when I saw a huge rat run across the entire length of the dinning area to the storage room- DISGUSTING. I threw my slice away and BOUNCED ASAP!

    (1)
  • Meg H.

I love Inbound. Their frozen yogurt options are great - that's usually what I get when I go. The Hawaiian pizza is also amazing! It has ham AND bacon on it with the pineapple, and tastes delicious. The guys there are great and friendly. No complaints.

EDiT What my review read before was "inbound kicks a$$... bla bla There have been a few times, though that it was inconsistent and not that fresh. Whatever. " NEW REVIEW I'm eating the most disgusting pizza in my life as I type and listen to music... I'm a little bit sick, and that affects the taste of things a little, but my main point of this Edited Review is this: I didn't understand a question the guy on the phone asked, so I had him repeat it, and he got frustrated (which leads me to believe is why my pizza is so crappy right now) Anyway, the pizza looks like trash that they had cooked at 12 this afternoon and then threw some buffalo chicken pieces on top and microwaved it. It sure tastes that way, and I DEFINITELY KNOW WHEN PIZZA IS REHEATED AND NOT FRESH... I will never order from here again. Good job, a$$holes...

    (1)
  • Cori L.

Ok if you want healthy food or vegetables don't go here...I mean shoot its a pizza parlor. If you want just good greasy pizza this place is perfect. I love meat on my pizza, lots of flavor and a nice doughy crust. And I've found that Inbound has the BEST buffalo chicken pizza I've ever tasted. THE BEST. Ok I'm sure their veggie pizza sucks...I mean just look at the place the floors even have grease on them...but that GREASY, CHEESY, DELICIOUS buffalo chicken pizza makes me go back every time. You can't find a better combo of buffalo sauce and a blue cheese ranch dressing thing. YUM!

    (4)
  • Sofia H.

so the pizza itself is good only if you've just stumbled out of great scott/party and need your pizza fix at 2am... I have to say that otherwise I would probably head somewhere else for a slice what saves this place is that they have some absolutely great frozen yogurt/soft serve (wouldn't have expected it huh?). it is so good that it earns this place 2 stars otherwise the AC never seems to be working (or if it is barely...) and the place overall is your typical college pizza place grease stains and all

    (3)
  • Anne G.

I don't understand all the complaints about Inbound Pizza. If you're in Allston and want some good pizza, this place beats most other pizzerias in the neighborhood. My personal favorite is pizza with mushrooms, broccoli, and chicken, and it's a delightfully tasty combo. You shouldn't walk in expecting the greeting of a Starbucks barista, but hey, I go there to get food and not a fake smile.

  • Sloane G.

For a place to just get slices at its definitely worth 4 stars. They have slices of reg cheese and pepperoni but they also have buffalo chicken with blue cheese sauce on it,,,yummm! and for only 2.50$ the slices are pretty good size! the only downside is if your paying with a card theres a 10$ min...kinda of a bummer if you just want a slice and a drink. but they are open till 3am which is sooo awesome for those late night snacks. I went tonight with my friends and had a buffalo chicken slice and it was very yummy, and we watched a little Seinfeld while we ate, it was good times. its definitely a place to go to eat a slice and mooch off their cable tv,

  • Doug W.

I have major issues with Inbound pizza. When I found out that this place served buffalo chicken pizza (and regularly keeps slices of it handy) I was psyched. That is, until I tried the stuff. Their 'buffalo chicken' pizza is an absolute travesty. Anyone with any standards when it comes to buffalo sauce, chicken, or blue cheese will be sorely disappointed. The chicken is nondescript at best- it has no buffalo spice to speak of and tastes like tiny pieces of cold chicken mcnuggets. The blue cheese sauce is even worse- think Elmer's glue with a funky aftertaste. I'm sure that will appeal to some, for whom it will bring back fond memories of kindergarden days spent eating Elmer's and learning the color wheel. As for the rest of us, you will likely be insulted that this place dares to ruin the reputation of blue cheese everywhere with this crap. I can only assume that this is what semen tastes like. Spitters everywhere, consider yourself acquitted. Okay, so the buffalo pizza sucks. But they still serve cheese and pepperoni, right? (Both of which are infinitely harder to mess up). And they are open late, so that must be worth something, correct? Here's my second issue. The assholes that work there apparently utilize a sliding scale price structure depending on 1) how drunk you appear to be, and 2) how close they are to closing time. I've gone in there on 4 separate occasions and been charged 4 different prices for the exact same thing! Not to mention the fact that one guy there (who looks particularly unsanitary- kinda like Steve Buscemi's scarier, greasier cousin) always demands a tip! What the hell am I tipping you for?! You just charged me $6.40 for two slices of cheese pizza that look like they were peeled off the floor, and I'm 99% sure that you were just scratching your balls less than a minute ago!! Fellow Yelpers, just promise me one thing- no matter how drunk you are, no matter how hungry you are, if you ever find yourself out in the area of Harvard Ave. and considering a visit to Inbound Pizza, promise me that you will not do it. I don't care if you opt for the 24-hour Tedeschi across the street, decide to cannibalize your date, or even come running across the street to my apartment and hold me at gunpoint to demand the remnants of my fridge- just don't eat at Inbound.

    (1)
  • Bradley D.

I think this place isn't bad at all. Its open late, and they always have a few different types of slices to choose from. No pizza in Allston is really GREAT but this place isn't bad, and really good when you're trashed. Get the buffalo chicken slice with bleu cheese.

    (3)
  • K O.

Not my first choice, normally, but reliable in a pinch. When I do come, it's not for the pizza, though -- it's for the pasta. No one would mistake this for great Italian, but it's good enough that when I'm in the mood for ravioli and don't want to deal with baked-on tomato sauce later, it satisfies. You get a substantial serving for the price, plus a side of garlic bread. Other meals, like the chicken fingers and fries, are similarly decent and filling, but not better or worse than your standard pizza shop fare. Likewise for the service.

Pizza, Pizza, Pizza... Everyone loves pizza. Last night I was searching my menus for dinner, after narrowing it down to Indian and pizza. Pizza won this evening... I ordered a medium pepperoni and bacon pizza, and it was great, nice crust, good crunch, not to greasy which kept gave the bottom of the pizza great stability and good crunch with each bite. Toppings were plentifully and full strips of yummy bacon dressed the slices. A side of buffalo wings (fried chicken wings with buffalo sauce), was a great side to this pizza... in fact, i have leftovers, i may go toss a slice in the oven and its gonna be a great reheat. fast delivery and quality food for a Thurs night... nice work guys...

May be the most conveniently located pizzeria in all of Boston; certainly not the best. A few nights ago, I hatched a plan to open up a rival pizza place across Comm Ave called Outbound Pizza.

  • Brandon V.

I order from them most often when I'm looking for easy, consistent pizza / subs. The delivery is usually pretty fast, and the service is just fine. Nothing to write home about, but pretty much the most steady and plain decent tasting little pizza place in the area, IMO.

    (3)
  • Sara H.

The pizza is decent (if you want amazing pizza, go to Uno's next door) and cheap, the sandwiches are good, and I've always had excellent service. I live in the area, the staff recognizes me by now and they seem to like to give me extra pizza at no extra charge, so I'm a fan.

    (4)
  • Caroline D.

i've only had pizza and french fries at inbound, but all the times i've been there i have really liked it. the pizza is really good & by the slice is a huge serving. i don't understand the poor ratings. what do you expect at a pizza place on comm. ave & harvard? inbound isn't todd english's fig, but it isn't bad! i way prefer this pizza over sabatino's (not saying anything bad about sab's because i love that place too).

    (4)
  • Kathleen Y.

Their pizza is terrible. You should only eat it if you have no other options. If it is early, walk down to T. Anthony's for a better slice.

    (1)
  • Jacob F.

I love inbound. When my friends want to go to Allston Village, I look at them like they are naked. WHAT SELF RESPECTING PIZZA LOVING DRUNK WOULD GO TO ALLSTON VILLAGE? They would. Everytime I go in I get my nice crispy semi-fresh slice of cheese, warmed in the oven. DELICIOUS. And for a 1.75, what drunk cant afford that?

    (4)
  • Josh B.

Like most pizza places in the Boston area, this is nothing to write home about. The pizza itself is pretty nasty. I've had slices that were completely dried out as well as slices that had damp wet nasty crust. I haven't bothered with most of the rest of the menu. However, I will say that the eggplant parmigiana sub is not bad. Basically the food is a good option when you're starving or drunk and everything else is closed. As far as the staff goes, they've screwed up my pickup orders in the past. Also, when it gets crowded with drunk idiots on weekend nights, they can't seem to figure out whose turn it is to order. The guys who work there are all Turkish (I think) so you can catch them watching Turkish movies on the television set in the back every once in a while. That's a plus or a negative depending on how amusing you find the idea of watching a bunch of dudes get excited about Turkish cinema.

    (2)
  • Alex L.

While there isn't anything too special about the pizza, they were surprisingly extremely nice dealing with the hordes of drunk kids (including myself). They sold us their last pizza for cheap so they get 4 stars.

    (4)
  • Savino L.

The Buffalo Chicken Pizza by far is one of the best pizza slices in the Boston area. I am from Buffalo and many Boston pizza places fail at making buffalo chicken pizza. Inbound is an exception and if you are from anywhere near Buffalo, you will love their slices. Its much like Just Pizza.

    (5)
  • Adam S.

they did not deliver when they said the would; reallllllly not happy with their service on as a regular.

    (1)
  • P'raka ..

4 stars only because they always have buffalo chicken pizza ready to sell by the slice. I don't think I've ever seen that anywhere else and I kind of love buffalo chicken. Buffalo chicken on Pizza is even better. That's the only thing I go for. I tried to order a whole pie from here once, I believe it was a veggie pizza and it was pretty awful. I would just stick to the ready-to-go slices.

    (4)
  • Dylan C.

I agree with Dan. This place serves it's purpose well. When I'm drunk at 2am, I don't wanna wait 30 min. for a great pizza. I want a fat slice from inbound in 30 seconds. I'll eat it there, I wont even sit down. Not like you have to. Slide it down your throat and return to the drinking local of your choice.

    (4)
  • Geoff T.

I used to live down the street from this place for over a year. I went there once. Once. That is all it took to relalize I would rather have a hobo walk over my pizza than get a slice from there. Dirty, thrown together, ingredients of dubious origins. Just don't, okay?

    (1)
  • dan w.

How dare you guys give this place such a bad review! When reviewing a place like this you need to take into context what this place actually is. It is a greasy pizza delivery place in allston village. It is not trying to be gourmet pizza or anything. On a Friday night with friends there is no place I would rather call to bring me large pepperoni and large buffalo chicken pizzas. Also Inbound is 100 times better then most of the delivery pizza places that pile their menus at my door.

    (4)
  • Leo C.

Was that mold on my pizza? I don't know, but I didn't want to find out. An utterly mediocre sub/pizza place to begin with, enhanced by the fact that their portions are small and the prices a bit higher than average. This is Allston Village; there are MANY better places to eat. And, as I said: the last time I was there, there was some icky white stuff on my pepperoni, which was served from a pizza that seemed to have been in the window for a while. There are worse places, but probably not many.
