Parked my rig at the TA truck stop, found this place on my phone and read the raving reviews about the shrimp po'boys!! Had to try it, most definitely worth the walk my trucker buddies! If your in a car or bobtail, you have no excuse!!

As usual the food is phonominal. The food was so good and the staff equally as good. I was able to drink my favorite beverage while watching the Saints loose. oh well. Go Phonominal

Nice atmosphere and the Vietnamese food was fantastic! Very reasonably priced. We both got vermicelli noodle bowls - I especially liked the grilled pork, great flavors. The place was hard to see from the main road - it is behind Los Tres Amigos. I would definitely go back if I was passing through town again.

I really hate to do this, but guys this place sucked so hard I have to let y'all know. We came in for dinner at 6:30 and didn't leave till almost 9 p.m. That's number one. It was hot as heck in here. That's number two. So we arrive, are seated and order our drinks. Nothing fancy, just a water and diet coke. Those two drinks alone took about 15 minutes to come out. No big deal, as this gave us time to decide on our appetizers. We order the appitizers and they are dropped off much later by someone who was not our waitress. Entree orders therefore were not placed until she came to clear the appitizer plates. Sigh. Much, much later out come the entrees. Worth the wait? Hell no. Bland, boring and blah. They may have been having an off night and the waitress did apologize saying they were short that night but I was still so turned off by the cold service, mediocre food, humid restaurant and long wait that I won't be going back.

When you go here, order one meal and split it. My wife and I were astounded by the absolutely ridiculous portion size of the Po-Boy sandwiches. Way too much. That being said it was GREAT! Very reasonably priced, remembering that you will have left overs for tomorrow

Not impressed. Gave three stars b/c rest of the party seemed pleased with their orders (poboy, bahn mi, bun vermicelli), I had the pho w/ brisket & eye round. It came out warm, after adding condiments, herbs, and bean sprouts broth was room temp. Broth was a little bland and they gave me double basil and no cilantro.

My wife and I have been doing vietnemese cuisine for about 17 years now. Normally we do the vermicelli dishes, she likes the pork and eggroll and I do the grilled chicken. Tried the grilled chicken at Phonomonal and flavor of chicken excellent. Amount of veggies above average and overall size of bowl very large. I would rate this bowl in top tier of New Orleans area. Can't wait to sample some of the other dishes which look great in patron pictures.

located in the back of a strip mall with plenty of parking. Lots of seating but the A/C was not working well the day we visited. The service was good and priced ok, normally we see that pho is priced the same no matter what meat or combination of meat you order (except shrimp) I got the rare beef while the others in our group got brisket/rare. The brisket was barely discernible from the rare which I am not used to and the broth was fine but a little oily. I am used to more flavor/spices in the broth. I also like thin cut jalapeño there's was thick cut but very fresh and the basil was also very fresh. I am comparing to long beach/westminster pho which has a larger Viet community so I would most likely give it 4stars if this was all I knew. The pho is very edible and service was good. If you need a pho fix in Louisiana then this place should take care of that.

First time in 63 years that I have ever ate at this type of restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere was awesome. The food was professionally cooked and served hot and the Shrimp was not rubber like the rest of the places we ate at in New Orleans. Servers are fantastic and on their toes. Eat here, you will not regret it!!

This restaurant serves the Best shrimp po-boys in town! They are cooked fresh & are loaded! They have both Vietnamese & American dishes. Their vermicelli dishes, and fried rice dishes are delish! The restaurant sits in back of Los Tres on Gause Blvd. Please look for it. It's worth it!

Was traveling through on our way to a cruise, needed some lunch so we got off the interstate. My wife noticed the sign for po-boys, we lived on the coasts for years while I was in the military and have tried lots of po-boys in our travels. So we stopped and decided to see how it stacked up. I am happy to report none have competed with this place. Phonomenal is the perfect name as that explains their po-boys. The bread is to die for, a slight crisp on the outside and so light an fluffy on the inside. I suggest the crawfish :) make sure you bring an appetite these things are huge! Top that with some of the most friendly people you will meet running the place, and you have Phonomenal. To tell you just how good it was, 4 days in to the cruise sitting in the main dining room eating prime rib we all said we were headed back to Phonomenal, and that we did. We waited around for a couple hours for them to open before we continued on our 5 hour journey home. I will make it a point to go back every time I am within an hour or so of it. I feel bad as I didn't get their names maybe someone else will post it.

Amazing! This place has really good food, great staff, and really clean. My bf and I were craving Pho and we decided to try this place. We got the Chicken Spring Rolls, Pho Tai and combination fried rice and everything was so delicious! The chicken spring rolls were so good! Definitely need to try it and the peanut dipping sauce that comes with it was heavenly. The Pho was so delicious. Really fresh ingredients. Will for sure be coming back to check out more items on the menu!

This is our favorite restaurant in Slidell! The food is excellent. The vermicelli bowls are our favorites, and everything else there is very good, too. The wait staff is the best. The lemonade is made with real fresh squeezed lemons so you have to try it; very good!

Wonderful! Friendly staff with smiles on their faces. My honey had the Bahn Mi with grilled shrimp. He enjoyed the sandwich. He said it was lite yet filling. (He'll also be there at lunch today if any one would like to join him.) I had the Bun with grilled chicken. Lots of food with this dish. I gave half to my husband who enjoyed it too. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice. They even have TVs if you need to catch a game while you are eating. We will return. OH! The menu also has seafood on it. That's why he originally stopped. He thought it was just a seafood restaurant. Keep up the good work "Pho"nomenal!!
